"I still don't feel right with you putting yourself at risk because of this though he knew that point was already evident. He leaned his head back and closed his eyes. Why did this have to happen this way, had it really all been worth it for one person. It was because that one person had really done nothing wrong within the confines of the law. Granted she helped people who needed it regardless of their past or current positions, wasn't that what all doctors were supposed to do?

Helena nodded, and ran her fingers down his cheek in slow strokes after he'd closed his eyes. “I know, but you didn't ask me to do anything. This was my decision.” It wasn't like she'd have left him injured, he knew that. She leaned down and kissed his forehead. “I'm pretty scared too,” she admitted softly.
“I don't want to put you in danger.” She was scared for the both of them, but more frightened for Vic.

"kidnapping is still kidnapping no matter who does it. The lady had done nothing wrong within the confines of the law" He just vocalized the previous thought. It was something Helena needed to know. Why he did it. "they're basically snatching anyone they see who maybe wrong. putting not a full conclusive evidence behind it. Just kidnapping.

"That's what can happen when you suspend Habeus Corpus," Helena muttered in displeasure. "They're abusing their right to be in control. And this head, this...man...He's full of himself, and refuses to listen to reason." She curled her legs into a more comfortable position.
"Can you tell me what happened? What happened in your view? We only got the view that made you seem, well...crazy." She looked at him curiously, but then shook her head. "You can tell me when you wake up, you need to rest now."

It was probably a better Idea to wait and tell her later. When his head wasn't so jumbled. Right now everything was a blur nothing made sense, well it did to him but not if he told it to anyone else. It was slightly complicated for the most part, okay for a large part. Vic kept his eyes closed, not wanting to sleep. Right now he was all the more paranoid then most other nights. anything could and might happen that was just how he saw the connections between threats that never really existed.

"I'll stay right here until you're asleep, I don't have much else to do." She found his hand and held it. She would wait until he was resting before she got up to tend to his clothes and the materials she'd gathered to take care of him, she'd keep bandages in the room, though for when they would need to be changed.

"What If I don't sleep? Was she going to stay with him the night? or would she do what she needed to. He wasn't too confidant in his ability to even attempt to though probably fatigue would take care of the rest. More than anything else he was frightened about what could happen if he did. Would he wake up here or somewhere else. Would something happen. More than anything would Helena be alright. Jumping from a roof, he could handle. Being shot at was a breeze, but the unknown was far more frightening then anything anyone could ever do.

Helena looked up at his face, "If you don't sleep, then I'll take care of your clothes, clean up, and change...and then I'll be back." She began to get up, figuring he was going to fight it as long as possible. "But I don't think you'll be awake for long. Your body needs you to sleep as much as I know you're afraid to. I've gotten better at defending than the last time you were injured." She remembered how little of help she had been then.
She released his hand. "I'll be back."

Vic moved to his side to watch her, why did everything get so complex around him. One of the few times he wished his mind was normal, then he would never be in this situation or he would be already asleep. Or would have never woken up.
Vic was tired but fighting sleep, He could fight it for hours or days if he set his mind to it.

Helena gathered his clothes first and left the room to throw them into the wash, though she folded his overcoat and set it atop the dryer. It would need its own load and a different wash cycle. She then returned to take the metallic tongs and the rest of the stuff she'd used to patch Vic up. When she returned to the room, her black hair was pulled in a loose bun and she was wearing pjs instead of her spandex costume and her cowl was nowhere in sight.
She climbed back into the bed and played with Vic's hair. "You know you're being really counter-productive. If you don't sleep, you'll not heal as fast you'd like and then you'd be even more incapable of helping anyone. So as much as you worry about sleeping, if you don't, it's going to be worse."

"thats all a medical conspiracy. its not counter productive seeing how body processes slow during sleep. So sleeping is counter productive." He said still laying on his side watching her.

Helena sighed in exasperation, "Mhm, you say that, but you know without sleep you'll eventually topple over and then what good can you do? The body can only take so much and you know as well as I that you push that already. So please, Vic, sleep. Do it for me?" She asked beseechingly.

"so much could happen though. Its all to easy to breech a suburban home. An with them thinking they can do whatever they want why wouldn't they?" There was so much else that could happen as well. An nothing could be done about it. Anything would, could incriminate either of them for simply resisting. Besides if he toppled over onto some one it would be about 175 plus pounds of muscle crushing them.

"And yet they don't know you're Question. Look Shayera flew you here. She had a literal bird's eye view. No one followed you. Stop worry so much, you're not helping anyone, and especially yourself by doing it." She told him sternly.

"you don't know that for sure, there could be satellites focused on Gotham city at all time showing where things are moving. Hell, Google earth does it. for all we know they could be using that only live feed instead of hourly updated images" He had a valid point beyond the one that google was one of the most vile, evil things on the Internet but it was so damned useful. He was more than worried about that, there could have been at least an infinite number of possibilities that they had indeed been seen at some point during the night. An the parts he wasn't awake for only further fueled his will to stay up for as long as he could.
All in all, even when he was healthy wasn't good for his head.
