This is set after 'Definitely Time To Bounce' with Barbs. I hope its all good She must say it was fun. People on the streets who thanked you as them saved you with the outmost respect, and they knew you as an icon for safety. Criminals feared you on sight and even though Charlie's costume was different then Batgirl's, it still felt powerful. But Charlie knew that this facade couldn't last and she knew that even though Batgirl is her idol, she couldn't keep doing it. So officially, Charlie had put her Batgirl costume away. Now, she didn't know what she was doing but inspiration from Batgirl let her know that she can still be a hero. But for now Charlie was roaming the streets of South Gotham in civilian clothes. Wearing a light blue hoody jumper, her black tights with converse shoes she was still going to kick some ass; just as Charlie and not anyone else.
Giving her encounter with Batgirl, she had to make changes with her life. Like getting off the streets and into a home. But Charlie was worried because in a month, she was turning fifteen and once the officials had her, she would be sent off to a home. What if they reject her? What if they are really horrible people? Charlie can teleport anywhere she wants, she can lift a man above her head who is twice her size. Not many people would be too accepting of that. She was a freak, and no one wants a freak in their house.
Hands in her pockets she whipped her curly blond hair out of her face as the wind pushed against it. Gotham skies were beautiful, even though the night sky looked down on pain and crime-ridden streets. But as soon as she heard the scream, her head whipped around. In a sudden, she started to run. Obviously faster then the average person, she scooted across the rooftop. Leaping over a gap, and then another she stopped and looked down into a gutter. Her first dead body.
The woman's eyes closed as she dropped to the ground by the hand of a man. He had the knife in his hand and looked down at her. The death was so clean, so dull and blank. It seemed so simple, but enraged Charlie. She hated death, so glaring down at him, she then bounced down their.
Appearing next to the man, she bullkicked him and he launced into a dumpster. Standing up straight, she death stared him. She never understood how someone could kill another. She guessed she never would, but the man rose and she was in a cocky stance. ''Didn't your mother tell you - don't play with knives''. As he rose looking at her wearing a black trench coat and a broad rimmed hat, he performed the unexpected. Fire shot from his palms and covered his hands, and he smiled wickedly at her.
''- and not to play with fire?''. A sudden jerk of his hand sent a stream of flames at girl. Charlie leapt, flipping high in the air and landing on a fire escape platform with a metal-screeching thud. The flames hit the wall and exploded and she sighed. Just her luck, running to a meta villain. Then another burst of fire shot and hit behind Charlie, the force deflecting her forwards. Falling with a scream towards the hard ground, she was to disoriented to bounce. Now this, was going to hurt.

[/b] Babs stated, looking at the blonde. "Why are you synonymous with the word 'trouble'?" Babs asked, though a slight smile was playing on her face as she said it. She'd seemingly managed to get Charlie to put the Batgirl costume away, but you could take a vigilante out of a fight, but you couldn't take the fight out of the vigilante, Babs thought. She turned around to look closer at the metahuman, pulling both herself and Charlie down behind the dumpster as he sent a blast of fire at the pair of them. Babs landed roughly on the ground. If she ever hoped for a quiet night in Gotham when she was feeling sick, she couldn't have been more wrong. She glanced over at the girl beside her and smiled, here we go again, she thought. "Are you okay? Is she okay?" Babs asked suddenly, realizing on closer inspection that the woman had been stabbed, not simply knocked unconscious as she'd previously believed. She suddenly feared the worst and looked across at Charlie. Death was something Babs had grown used to seeing on the streets of Gotham, but it never got any easier to deal with. Babs didn't really need an answer to the question she'd asked, she already knew the fate of the woman lying on the ground. If only she'd been quicker, she thought, her eyes closed as she cursed herself. [/ul]

It had been an ordinary night for super boy. He had to make a name for himself. Remember the last time he attempted to stop crime in metropolis…
The three gunmen carried automatic machine gun pistols and had cleaned out the local bank. Then attempting to make a break for it they were met with Superman’s protégé standing in front of the entrance, blocking their only exits. “Look. We both know how this is going to end. You’re going to shoot at me. Then the bullets are just going to bounce off me harmlessly. Next, I’m going to knock you guys our and save the day. So just make it easier on yourselves and surrender.” Super boy smirked. A cocky grin on his face. The typical teenager thought they were invulnerable. But in Conner’s case, he thought that way mainly because, well… he was imperious to a lot of things that would kill normal people.
The men stopped and then without a word of doubt or thought of hesitation, the men loaded their guns at the teen of steel and opened fire. The end of the guns sparkled like fireflies and the ringing of bullet shell dropping to the floor filled the room. Super boy took every bullet and smiled, when the crooks ran out of ammo.
With a mocking sign, he rushed in using his super speed and within a few seconds flat met with a pair of fists faster than a speed bullet and stronger than a freight train, the crooks feel to the floor and laid unconscious. Superboy crossed his arms, covering the big red S insignia on his chest and smiled. “Told ya…” he smirked.
*A few moments later
“These crooks would’ve gotten away with it if it were not for you Superman…”
Conner Kent’s eyes went wide in anger. “MY NAME…” He said introducing the belly of the police officer with his fist sending him flying perhaps, 20 or 30 feet away. “….ISN’T… superman…” he grumbled angrily. Suddenly vanishing before anyone could realize what happened. Super boy certainly had a few anger problems and it didn’t help when anyone mention Superman around him. Then he left, he wouldn’t get anywhere in metropolis. Too many people associated him with Superman. He wanted to make a name for himself. So within his travels, he had stopped by Gotham City.
Simply passing through the city one day, he had no intention of exploring or saving anyone. But fate did.
Seeing an eerie orange light from the darkness of the night, super boy went investigate. Seeing no other than a hooded figure sprouting fire from his hand. Attacking what appeared to be two female heroines.
With a leap and a bound. Super boy jumped down onto the concrete pavement and would serve himself as a distraction toward the super powered baddie and allow the two females a chance to either escape or counter attack.
“Hey! BIG, DUMB AND UGLY! You mess with fire, you get…. Ah screw the one liner.” Super boy stated. Concentrating energy from the back of his retinas and concentrating them into the iris’s of his eyes he shot twin beams of red energy from his eyes aimed straight at the villain.

She was thankful when she helped her take on forty men, she was thankful that she didn't get angry that Charlie impersonated her and she was understanding when they had a talk. Batgirl just kept on surprising Charlie as the teen fell towards the ground only for Batgirl to catch her. Upon landing, Charlie was a bit exhilirated but then smiled. "Well, it wouldn't be right if this little misfit didn't get in trouble, right?". Though the pyrokinetic fiend glaring at them had other plans as a burst of bright flame shot at them. Charlie bounced out of the way, the wall exploding as she reappeared behind the metahuman. Sadly, the smoke bounced with her and she got a mouthful of it, forcing her to cough and gain the attention of the metahuman.
The metahuman turned, hand on fire and adding strength as he backhanded Charlie across the face. She launched to the side and smashed through a pile of crates. And yes, it wouldn't be Charlie if you didn't get smashed through objects and causing accidental malicious damage. She then bounced back to Batgirl, apparently solo at the moment wasn't working for her. But Batgirl was worried about the girl, and Charlie had completely forgotten. Great going Charlie. It was mentioned, and then Charlie quickly ran towards the wounded girl and grabbed her and threw her over her shoulder. Impressive for a 14 year old right?
Knowing she couldn't bounce with the girl (if she did, the girl would either die or explode) so she ran and jumped. Kicking off of the wall, she launched up and onto another fire escape in the shadows. Their, Charlie laid the girl down. She knew basic CPR; she thought. Putting her index and middle finger to the girls pulse point in her neck, she felt a faint pulse. She was alive, for now at least. But as another blast of flame shot at her, she had to drop and cover the girl as fire shot above them. Charlie felt the heat but her hair was protected by her hood which fell over. She was safe, the girl was safe but this meta had to be stopped. Looking over at it, she then saw some guy zoom up. He was hot, Charlie was just saying. And hot times two as he shot laser like things from his eyes. This wasn't superman, but their wasn't one thing that wasn't super about him.
So once again, she bowed over to pick the woman up. She did, and over her shoulder as she kicked a window open that was next to her. A couple were laying in bed together, and Charlie wasn't exactly sure what they were doing but she slid the woman through the window. "Call the cops, she has been stabbed. NOW PEOPLE", she told them worriedly as Charlie launched backwards in a wid backflip as she fell two stories and onto her feet. Turning, she look to the guy and then to Batgirl. Just who was he?

[/i] if she didn't rush in so headstrong and bullheaded. Though Babs thought of herself, and how not so long ago she'd had her ribs broken and Dick had been shot in a bank raid. The memory almost made Babs smiled, because it seemed so long ago now. Dick had been Robin and they'd both been incredibly reckless. Babs took extra precautions now - but not too many. Charlie had the girl, who Babs had originally feared dead, and the pair were now out of harm's way... almost. She turned her attention back toward the metahuman, running toward him she sprung off one of the broken crates and landed a kick to his face. A misguided shot of fire flared up toward Charlie and the girl, and the man hit Babs hard, throwing down to the ground. She was momentarily winded, and she paused as the man stopped. He didn't need fire to kill her - he still had the knife. Babs rolled to the side just as the man brought it down hard onto the ground, and jumped to her feet. She managed to land a second kick before being thrown hard against the wall. Holding the back of her head where she'd slammed against the wall, the cowl did little to eleviate the pain coursing through Babs' body. She could train for years under Batman's watch but never get used to the feeling of being slammed against a solid brick wall. She was dazed for a second, until she heard someone else's voice. Very distinctly male. She glanced up and smiled for a second, turning as Charlie landed back down on the ground beside her. Superboy, she figured. She'd met him briefly, friends through Robin - well, now Nightwing - but that was as far as they went really. She glanced across at Charlie, and pulled two of her stun batarangs from her belt. She was growing exceedingly glad she had chosen to make them a permanent addition to herr belt after the incident with Charlie not so long ago. She hurled them across at the man as Superboy also launched an attack, which the man attempted to return with one of his own firey ones. However, it was futile against Superboy's attack.[/ul]

Super boy had readied his eye lasers for another blast of heat vision. “Hey, let’s see who turn up the heat. The man simply raised his index finger and rotated it creating a mini tornado of flame and spun it right at super boy. He smirked. “I am a clone of superman, you think a little bit of fire is going to harm me?”
Headstrong, he ran through the torrent of flame and burned off a part of his clothing, his jeans now reduced to mere jean shirts, and his shirt now rags of what it once was as he tightened his fist. Preparing to land a super punch. And to add insult to injury, batgirl had blinded the guy with a flash bang batarang. With a super punch he managed to knock the super powered crook into a brick wall and place his body so hard it made a crater of his body imprint when he landed on the moment of impact. Pieces of brick fell along with him as he then landed on his chest.
Super boy didn’t want to check if he was okay. He cared more about his allies to check if they were alright. “Thanks for that batrang bang. The Name’s… superboy.” Introduced Conner, obviously never meeting the female protégée of batman, he had only remembered meeting robin once long ago. Who would have then evolved from his side kick role into a hero of his own choosing. A small feat superboy had not accomplished yet.
A few groans were heard as super boy turned his head to see the super powered man get up. “when he attacks with a fire attack stay behind me, and I promise no harm will come of you two.” He yelled to both of them, using the one skill he has over superman, he concentrated his mind in the area around him and the two female vigilantes. Mainly between himself and the fire powered crook as he got ready for another barrage of fire blasts.
“I’ll hold him with my force field.” Super boy hinted. As he watched the jets of flame erupt from the man’s hands.

Perve? No, she was not. she was just observant. Yes, she was observant about how friggin hot this guy was. As the guy stood and fought off the criminal, she just watched. He was yummy, like really yummy. And as the criminal spun a tornado of flame at them, the guy just ran through it. But it didn't stop it as it traveled towards her and Barbara. Gusts of fire burst from the spinning whirl and one shot at Charlie, in which she bounced out of the way and reappeared away from the tornado. As the swirl slowed and disappeared, a last final chunk of fire was shot at the gas pipe which ran up the story-long wall. Hitting it, it caused a small explosion but the fire began to run up the wall. If that got to the gas tank up the top, the building would be lucky to stay standing. This was a job for Charlie, and giving Batgirl a nod, she then ran. Jumping, a foot hit the dumpster as she launched higher. It was time for her to really be a hero.
Catching onto a bar of an escape ladder, she climbed up it quickly. Getting to the top she then leapt into the air. She jumped straight towards the bottom of an escape platform but she bounced, appearing on it. Looking, she was at the same point of the flame. Looking, a bar from the platform above her was close to the pipe. So taking a breath and swinging the hair out of her face, she jumped high in the air. Gripping onto the bar, she swung and kicked out the section of the pipe. it smashed it out and a torrent of gas shot out, making a temporary blowtorch as the flaming piping fell to the alley floor. Charlie smiled; she loved the feeling when you save someone.
Appearing from a burst of pink smoke at the bottom, she smiled to Batgirl and stood next to her. "Now that girl -", she then crossed her arms. "- was really friggin annoying". Then the guy came up and told his name, Superboy. Oh, he indeed was a super boy. It was official; Charlie had to wash her mind out with soap. But then he backed up in front of them as the criminal got back up. He was an nuisance and a half.
When Superboy told them to stay and he will make sure they don't get hurt, she giggled flirtly. "Oh, um. Thanks. I'm.....um......Misfit", she had said that only a day ago when she met Nightwing. She guessed that it made sense, she was always getting into trouble. She spoke innocently but then saw fire roaring from the guys hands. "And you buddy, are an annoying son of a -". Charlie was saying when fires exploded at them. She could have easily bounced away from halm, but for some unknown reason she trusted him. Even though she didn't know him, but she wouldn't be lying if she said she didn't want to get to know him. Just who was this guy?

[/b] she cried, to disperse the crowd. None of them could afford collotoral damage in this fight, least of all innocent passerbys. The girl had already been stabbed - and the metahuman had very nearly put a knife in Babs too. She sighed heavily and smiled at Superboy when he thanked her for the batarang. So it was Superboy, as if the S on the shirt hadn't given it away just a little. So she was right, this was the Superboy who knew Dick. Babs had never quite met him properly, and now she was getting quite the introduction. Apparently, beside her, Charlie was too. Babs couldn't help but roll her eyes just a little bit at Charlie's giggle, but decided to keep her comments to herself. She didn't need J'onn's abilities to know exactly what Charlie was thinking right now. She shot her a look, eyes wide, as if to tell her to keep control of herself. They were fighting a metahuman - now was no time for flirting or giggling. "Thank you," she added, glancing back over at Superboy, and then to the man, who was beginning to stir. Babs nodded when he promised to keep them safe. She pulled Charlie towards her to keep her safe, standing slightly in front of her to make sure if Superboy's force field gave away that Charlie would be protected. Babs had signed up for this - to become a vigilante - Charlie had just been born with powers she didn't really ask for. She didn't know Superboy, but if he was a friend of Dick's then she trusted him implicitly without question. She wondered when the last time they'd seen each other, if Superboy knew that Dick was now Nightwing. Babs glanced up at the side of the apartment building where Superboy had briefly embedded the metahuman crook. Cracks were beginning to appear in the wall, and Babs was beginning to grow concerned about the structure of the building as bricks began to fall away. [/ul]

Superboy held his hands out in front, a force field surrounded himself and his new found allies. The heat of the torrent of fire embraced itself against the bulk of Super Boy’s force field. He was starting to feel the heat grow in his hands. “Damn it…” He stated. His muscles were bulking up pumping with energy he was putting all he had into the shield. He gave a roar as the flame still burned against his shield.
Falling to a knee, he held the flame in place and then finally, released his shield. “I gotta get use to that.” He stated, panting. He wiped a bit of sweet sweat from his fore head. His eyes were like twin sapphires wanting to be able to end it once and for all. Suddenly, as luck would have it had the chance he always wanted.
The man sent a single fire ball towards them. Superboy knew what he had to do. True to his word, he summoned a small window of a force field to catch the ball by raising his right hand upward in a sudden thrust that snuffed out the flame and then he charged. Using his super speed to his advantage it only took him a mere two seconds to appear right in front of the meta human before he had a chance to react. Then raising his fist, he landed a single blow to the chin of the man. Sending him flying as hard as to land into a trash dumpster. Bending the metal frame of the dumpster into two as the man’s body collided with it. The man was growling something under his breath but this time super boy wouldn’t allow him to recover and make a come back.
As the crook looked up, superboy stood over him, raising his right foot he smashed his hell of the back foot down and across the super powered crook’s face breaking his nose, along with the crook losing some teeth but well worth making sure he was out cold. He breathed out. Realizing what had happened to his clothing.
“My god… I’m in a freaking Taylor Lautner costume.” He commented. Realizing most of his shirt burned off, now reduced to black rags on his back and only covering his upper back, his jeans now reduced to shorts and now even his boots did not survive the battle. “Anyone of you guys have some clothes you can let me borrow?” Super boy asked. Raising an eyebrow to the two female super heroines he had just teamed up with to fight the big bad guy.

She was loving Batgirl at the moment. She was like a mother figure, maybe big sister but definitely protective. She has a good heart and doesn't care what happens to her as long as everyone else is okay. And even the look she gave Charlie when Charlie was doing the thing that teenage girls are genetically programed to do; flirt. Though when she stood in front of Charlie as the torrentz of fire flipped over the shield, she smiled. Though she had to take the thoughts out of her head and on the situation at hand. The guy with flames in his palms that was absolutely smoking; literally.
Charlie had front row seats to witness some meta-jerk get his face smashed in. She watched in awe. Okay, she had to admit that she was strong, but he made her look like a mouse. Though she was shocked that Superboy had smashed out the guys feet and broke his nose. Rarely, Charlie will go to such redical extremes. But he deserved it, he nearly destroyed the building and killed them both. And since the threat was gone, Superboy mozzied on over. Charlie moved the hair out of her face and as he commented on his clothes, she chuckled slightly at the joke. Though he was right. Abs, pecks, arms and charms. She was in some where between heaven and an Enrique Igleseis music video. Though when he asked for clothes, she giggled in her mind. Bud, clothes are over rated. Just keep like that and everything will be just fine. Possibly loose the rags though. She laughed smiled at the thought.
Though in the corner of her eye, she could see it. She gasped as she saw that the cracks running up the wall had met an a big swarm of bricks were falling just above Batgirl. They were only around 3 meters above the girl head. And even though Batgirl could not confide in her who she is and is riddled with secrecy, Charlie would die before she let anything happen to Batgirl - and that was the truth.
''Batgirl, look out''.
She charged forwards and pushed Batgirl. She didn't want to hurt her but due to Charlie's strength, hitting the ground would hurt alot. Though she knew she could bounce out of the way but as the light emulated from her, she nearly combusted into smoke when they hit. First was her head, and disorienting her she couldn't bounce. Smoke wafted from her as she fell to the ground as a series of bricks smashed over her body and then the last ten-brick chunk landed on her. As they stopped, in her subconscious she was so happy she saved Batgirl. She knew she would have done the same. But her conscious wasn't in action because Charlie was knocked out and luckily unaware of her crushed leg and cracked head as blood poured from her cranium. Like she said, she would die for Batgirl.

[/b] Babs replied when Superboy asked if they had clothes he could borrow. Surely there was something of Dick's she could lend to him. After all, he'd just saved all their lives, the least Babs could do was find him some replacement clothes so it was a little less Baywatch... even if that would briefly break Charlie's heart. Babs turned to make a comment to Charlie when she heard her shout, and before she knew what was happening she felt herself thrust hard out of the way, hitting the ground again. Her breath caught in her throat as she watched bricks rain down from the building. She should have paid more attention to the structural damage, she thought. The pain coursing through her body seemed almost invisible as she jumped to her feet as the last of the bricks fell down. She dropped to her knees beside Charlie and began to remove the bricks from off her. "Charlie!" Babs called, trying to assess whether she was conscious. When she received no response she grabbed the girl's wrist and felt for a pulse - she saw the light rising and falling of her chest. Holding her hand briefly Babs' heart beat hard against her chest. This was her fault, this was all her fault. "You're an idiot, you're an idiot, Charlie," she muttered, her voice breaking as she fought to hold back tears. She wasn't going to let herself cry, not right now. Later, she thought, she could cry and get it out later, but right now she had to remain calm. Her first aid, she thought, she knew first aid. Taking a deep, shuddering breath Babs swallowed her desperate plea to cry and kneeled behind Charlie, removing the last of the bricks. She glanced to Superboy and then down at Charlie. She placed her hand behind her head and pulled it back to see the spots of blood across her glove. Head truama, Babs thought, accessing her memory bank. Kneel behind the unconscious, open the airway by opening the jaw, she thought, doing so. The ambulance for the stabbed woman had already arrived, and, by the sounds of it, so had the police. Babs looked up from her position, kneeling behind Charlie as the police began to swarm the alleyway. "This is my fault," she said, her voice beginning to crack. She shouldn't let Charlie do this, she was too young, too inexperienced. Babs had been so keen to help the girl, she'd almost forgot the consequences of her actions, and how large they would be. This was a wake up call for her - she couldn't let Charlie fight beside her anymore. Not like this.[/ul]

"I think I know someone who could help,” the elder woman said. Super boy smiled as he finally was seeing the brighter side of gotham, it had a good nest of vigilante heroines to help him out on a tight spot, that and so he can stop walking around like a shifter off twilight.
Suddenly, it happened…
After what appeared to be a momentous victory ended in a tragedy as one of the heroines had pushed the other out of the way of a shower of bricks. It all happened so fast even he didn’t have time to react. The bricks landed on the younger one and grief was ridden all over the face of the elder one.
"Charlie!" Babs called, trying to assess whether she was conscious. "You're an idiot, you're an idiot, Charlie…"
Super boy felt a tug of his heart strings, what was this? Feeling, he had. He felt the urge to help them even more and felt a liquid in his eye. What was it, a tear? Why was he crying, she wasn’t dead. “She won’t die.” Superboy said, kneeling over the body he placed a hand on the elder one’s shoulder. “Look, I can get her to a hospital, or anywhere else you have in mind, faster than an ambulance. Tell me where to go and I’ll take her there in a few seconds. Hurry though, time is passing.”

**Charlie is knocked out. So skipping Charlie**P.S. About the whole hospital thing. Two reason why that is the worst horrible idea ever thought of ever: 1) Charlie is a metahuman. Once put on a surgery table and they find that she is; different, the worse would happen.
2) Hospital = authorities. Charlie is scared about being taken away by the police to another family who might not understand her gifts or what she is. Worse; she could end up on a lab bench with scientists poking, proning and experimenting on her.

(OOC: How does Batcave v.2 sit with you? Haha. Let me know if you'd rather I changed it so they do go Batcave.) [/b] Babs said after a long pause. They could patch her up there, she figured. She couldn't take Charlie to the Batcave - she remembered Bruce's anger at Dick after Tim had been there. It didn't really matter where they want, Charlie was unconscious and would probably remain that way until they got her there. She could find new clothes for Superboy whilst they were there - her apartment was Dick's apartment too, after all. "Try..." Babs paused, and sighed heavily, "is it pointless to ask you to try and be inconpicuous?" she asked. Superboy was perhaps the least inconpicuous person she could imagine, not because he didn't try, but because he was Superboy. That wasn't something you could hide from, but it was late and Babs doubted - and hoped - no one would even notice. Dick was probably out on patrol as Nightwing anyway. Hospital. Why couldn't she just say hospital? It wouldn't take a lot of tests to get the information that Charlie was metahuman to rise to the surface. Charlie would never forgive her if that happened. "Look, take her, we can get in through the fire escape," Babs said, mostly speaking to herself now as she shook her head in frustration. "I can try... I can fix this," Babs assured herself. "I've seen worse, I've had worse," she muttered, turning her attention back to Superboy. Babs had been beaten, shot, broken, bruised and bloodied. She could take care of Charlie, she would make sure she was in good hands.[/ul]
