Jacob stopped walking and glanced back at her. He shifted his eyes around the room, then started to sprint out of the newsroom. His head moved towards his gun, and he unhooked it from his holster, half sliding it out. He was ruined. he would lose his job, his house... His life. He had to enact payback somehow. He stopped for a moment, aiming the gun behind him, directly at Lois. He shot three times, and before he could see his results, he started back towards the exit.
"You son of a--!" A man screamed as he stepping in front of Jacob. Jacob closed the gap between them, and wedged the pistol under the mans neck. He glared at him for a moment, then shoved him out of his way. He opened the emergency fire exit, running down the staircases leading to the ground. He holstered his gun, pounding the railing as he went in a fit of rage.

Clark fly around Metropolis seeing if there any trouble he had to clean up but, He couldn't find none. It still was a peaceful city and thank god for that it's been this long that it has. He heard several gunshots going off as he turned to look where it was coming from. He noticed that it was coming from the Daily Planet. "Oh no, Lois!" He whispered as he bolted across the sky to get to there fast.
He opened the office window of Lois to see here in pain on her head where she was bleeding. He bent down by her offering his hand to help her up. "Are you ok? What' happened here? Was there..."He was gonna say gun but he saw the gun shot holes in her door lucky she didn't get hit. "Stay right here don't move. I'll be right back." As Clark said that, His caped flowed behind him as he ran out of the door looking for a certain person who has a gun on them. He started to use his X-Ray vision to be easier just incase they were concealing it.

As the sound of gunshots rang out through the office, Lois had taken refuge underneath her desk. Screams from frightend co-workers and the sounds of papers flying everywhere echoed throughout the office. The bullets had raced across the office, one lodged in her door while the other two had shattered the glass that separated her private space from the main rest of the floor.
Only moments after the shooting had started, a familiar voice was ringing in her ears. Lois threw her head up to look into Superman's bright blue eyes. She couldn't help but smile up at him. The Man of Steel made her feel much safer. She took his hand and pulled herself up, holding her other hand over her forehead as it continued to bleed. She had started to shake her head, trying to let him know that she was okay, but that was a mistake. The pounding became almost unbearable. "Y..yes I'm fine. It was some Detective from Gotham. He ran out of my office after I..." She paused and gave him a puzzled look. Jenkins had become infuriated when Lois had expressed how much faith she had in Superman and the rest of the Heros. "After I mentioned you. Apparently, the man has something against heros." Lois chuckled and the room began to spin. Not wanting to end back up on the floor, Lois sat down in her chair and watched as Superman scanned the building for Jenkins.

Just after he had used his X-Ray, Clark didn't see no one concealing or having a gun in sight. He gritted his teeth as he bursted out of the main entrance of the Daily Planet to the outside to see if he would be somewhere out. Clark hovered up to get an bird's eye view of this certain Detective. "I lost him. He probably went back to Gotham." Clark knew he would have to go to Gotham and track him down. No one was gonna get away with him attacking his woman who he cared for.
Clark went back landing on ground returning to Daily Planet moving towards Lois office. He reopened the door seeing her sitting down on her chair. "I'm sorry Ms.Lane, He got away. I have to go to Gotham and find him. He won't get away from his crime that he had committed." He was reassuring that she wouldn't have to worry about Jenkins again. Clark thought he wouldn't come back facing her as long he was around to protect her. "Take it easy on her head." As he grabbed a nearby napkin lightly wiping away the blood.
Clark wonder why would Jenkins attack her. Was it to make him show up or just to tick him off? He put a hand under his chin thinking before asking Lois. "Ms. Lane do you know why he would have hatred towards heroes?" He wanted answers. Maybe after a few chats with her, He would proceed to Gotham and grab him as soon as possible. Clark didn't care if Gotham or Metropolis would lock him up as long as he was behind bars to not harm anyone else like Lois.
