Looking around the vast almost emptiness of the surrounding room, Dick walked over to the lone bunching bag that hung toward the left side of the room. He had finally moved into his own place. It was a large penthouse that he had had fixed up. There were a few other people living within the building as well, but other than that, Dick was able to set it up so he could easily have a way to the road with his motorcycle. Within the time before finally moving in, he had been working on a design for a tunnel that let to the water drainage way. This would be the main way for him to get out and about on his own vigilante work. When he had time, he'd figure things out a bit later.
The new build he had just moved into was farther north-east from Wayne Manor. which left Dick with a large area to cover on his own. He was more toward the water fronts. And it would not take long to travel there. The penthouse was build upon an old warehouse, which left the flats in the building to be quite large.
There were large window that lined more of the side of the front room. Dick could see almost the whole city spaced out before him. The sun was still up and the light was glistening off the taller builds surrounding the new location. Dick walked around his training center that he had arranged himself. It looked so empty even with what equipment he had brought with him.
There were a few gymnastic equipment along with mats for practicing marshal arts. There were a few other pieces of machinery that he had bought for work outs. He was glad he had had all that money of his own saved. It was money his parents had set up for him before the accident. With this new start, it made Dick feel better than he hadn't had to ask to barrow any money from Bruce.
Dick walked toward the window to look out over the street. Everything seemed to be coming into place. He had already started setting up security systems and hidden rooms that contained his computer systems, and vigilante gear. And on of which contained his new suit. But he had yet to come up with a name. He'd ponder over that later. He was still working on the computer systems to add everything he had taken to from the batcomputer for his own system.
Hearing the doorbell go off, Dick walked out of the training center and down the set of spiral stairs that let him to the first floor of the flat. He walked through the living room and to the hall where his front door was located. He was probably on the fifth or sixth floor of the building. He did wonder who that could have been. Babs was the most likely to come around out of anyone else he knew. He opened the door just as the person on the other side started to knock.

[OOC: Did I ever tell you how much exams suck?]
So yeah. Tim wanted to spend more time with Dick. Why? Because Tim was lonely, and Bruce wasn't really the best company. The guy gave him weird vibes ever since he found out about him knowing about their secret identity. Now, while Tim was, for some strange reason, not overly scared of the big bad bat like Dick and Babs seemed to be, the guy still had the manners of a crocodile.
Which meant Dick was better company. Besides, they still had loads of stuff to catch up on.
"Dick?" Tim called, when no one responded to the doorbell. He wondered if the guy was even home. Maybe he should've called. Then again, he didn't have Dick's number. Maybe he should've hacked it out of the Batcomputer again; he could do that through his laptop now. Poor Bruce; Tim didn't tell him that. If he did, well, he would probably make it harder to get into the Batcomputer from his laptop. Tim didn't want that, especially not with exam stress.
Exams... Tim had exams. Tim could ace them, but they were still a bunch of nuisance. Especially since he could ace them. Why the Hell should he be forced to get up at 8:00 AM, go to the examination hall, write stuff on paper and come back home by 10:30 AM to fall asleep in bed? It was stupid.
"Dick?" he called out again, beginning to try and knock and wondering if Dick was at home or not. He opened the door though. "OheyDickwhuzzupYouTotallyLeftMeWaiting," he spoke so fast it was barely audible, walking in without hesitation and throwing his laptop onto the couch.
"Nice place ya got here," he said, after a bit of a looking around.

[ooc: I know exactly how that feels.]
Dick was a bit surprised to see Tim standing in the door way. He looked down at the kid as he came in. "Come on in, make yourself at home," he said sarcastically as Tim just walked on in. Dick had to admit the kid was bold. And he knew there was no point in getting into a fight, the kid didn't take no for an answer.
Though, he had gotten used to Tim just kind of barging in like he had. He'd been doing it since he had discovered the batcave. Dick still could look back on that day and laugh about it. No matter what had happened for someone discovering their secret identities.
Besides, Tim was good company. The kid was smart and it made it easy to talk about the computer systems now that he knew how to hack the bat-computer. "Thanks," Dick said.
Looking at the time, he jokingly responded, "Shouldn't you be in school?" He didn't really care if Tim was cutting a class or two. Dick would have done the same thing in his day, and he had a few times without Bruce every finding out.
"Since you're here, mind helping getting the rest of the bat-system on my computer programs? I was going to ask Babs, but she has other works she needs to get done," he said. He hated to ask for help, but if it would save him time, he was willing to find someone willing to work on the computer programs. And Tim seemed to be the fastest at hacking the system of the bat-computer. Dick could only image how mad Bruce would be about Dick getting someone to hack the system again to advance his own computer systems for the criminal records of Gotham.

Gotham's nerdiest nerd simply responded to Dick's inquiry about his school with a simple. "School's off, exams." Then, the not yet Boy Wonder abruptly proceeded to grin as Dick asked him to help with his systems. If there was anything Timothy could do, it was system setups. Not to mention he could catch up on old times with Dick that way.
"Lead the way," the junior detective stated, following Dick into the computer room. Now, he felt it was time to ask that one question that had been nagging at his mind for ever since he heard Dick had moved out of Wayne Manor. It was a wonder in itself how Timothy Drake could actually keep a question locked up for that long, but he had done it. It wasn't easy mind you.
Give the kid a candy bar.
But yes, the golden question was about to be asked. "So, Dick," Tim spoke, trying to find a good way to word this. "Erm... why did to you leave, erm... the Manor?" Now that was not really the most original way to word it, but Tim had observed Dick seemed to tense up whenever the subject of Bruce Wayne or Batman was brought up. He had heard the two had some sort of a scuffle, so he decided it was best to ask about why he had left instead of the actual disagreement itself. Tim had no doubt the two would patch it up and Batman and Robin would be back on the streets of Gotham in no time.
... Right?

"It's just down this way," said as he started down the hall. It did not take long to get to the door at the end of the hall. He opened the door to a nice sized room that at one side there was a laptop hooked into some larger systems to help it run a larger system. And off to the the right of the room, filling the emptiness, there were different weapons hung on the wall with long work table along it. There were a few cabinets of tools for working on the new gear. No doubt for the knew gear he was designing for his crime fighting.
And toward the center, there was a sheet over top of a motorcycle. Dick had been designing a few motorcycle, much like the old one, but with a few new features. Off to the near wall there was a large wooden design hanging on the wall. That was the case that hid the case that had his new suit in it. He was still working on making the room more discreet as far as the vigilante equipment. But so far he was more than half way done. Besides, no one else got into his place without him letting them in.
The flooring in the room was wooden and the walls were a plain white. The room was lite fairly well by the long stretch window straight ahead from them, but with a large curtain partly drawn. Dick was still working on getting this place to be as secretive as possible without people knowing at first look that he was some type of vigilante or a spy.
At Tim's next words, Dick had a feeling this was coming. Even with his wording of the situation, Dick knew what he was getting at. But he would answer him none the less. "I just needed my own space. It's about time I was on my own and to have a place of my own," he started. "The Manor is nice, but I can take care of myself. It gives me more freedom to work on my own without having someone checking up on me, I guess."
It was a bit harder to talk in terms of why he left the Manor rather than why he had left in general. The move out of the Manor was just the beginning. He wasn't going to go back to living there and working in the batcave. He had his own place and work he needed to start.

Timmy followed the ex-Flying Grayson down as he led the younger boy towards his new base of operations. He noted the simplicity of the room as he came into it - and its utter lack of any creepiness he'd come to associate with the Batcave - but then he went on to understand that the Batcave was, indeed just that: a cave where bats lived. Dick was not a bat. Dick was far from one. Dick was a bird. "So... Birdnest?" he quipped out a good nickname for Dick's new base, grinning as he did so and scratching the backside of his head as he looked around. Then, his eyes landed on the new gear that Dick was working on. Fanboy mode. Activate. "Ooh, what's this?" he asked, not really expecting an answer, as he approached Dick's half-completed work. "Trying to get a one-up on the old man? I don't think you can do that without that Lucius Fox person though," Tim murmured, barely loud enough for Dick to hear, as he examined everything in the room. The enshrouded motorcycle did not escape the young boy's keen blue eyes, but he was not one for bikes. Yet. "So, where's the database and stuff?" he asked. "Yeah but, you'll still be Robin, right?" the ever curious, though now somewhat worried Timothy asked to his surrogate brother's response. "I mean, even though you're like a big bird now. Batman and Robin are still gonna protect the streets of Gotham, right? What am I talking about! Of course you are! I mean, you guys are the greatest! Batman and Robin! The Dynamic Duo!!" Tim adopted a (flawed and utterly rookie) fighting stance and threw a few punches into the air as he said that, followed by an aerial kick. He then stopped and looked up at Dick. "So you gonna rendezvous up at the police tower where the Bat-Signal is, or something?" he asked expectantly, blue eyes that maybe only Clark Kent could make look dimmer, bright and hopeful to see how this new page in the life of the Dynamic Duo would work out, and glad he was gonna be seeing it all from the inside. Poor boy, he was about to get his hopes crushed.

"Yeah, sort of...I guess," Dick replied. He was wondering what the kid was getting at. But at the moment he'd let it pass. He could see that Tim was more interested in seeing all the knew gear he was now working on his own.
Dick cross his arms and shot Tim a look, more in a mock of him not being able to believe he was capable of that kind of work. "You think Fox was the only one that could make things like this," he said with a smirk on his face. "You don't work in the business and not pick up a few things here and there." He was a bit proud of the work he had put into his new gear, even if it wasn't finished.
Tim had a good eye for technology. And obviously knew a lot of the Bat equipment. "The only computer systems I have right now are used with that laptop over than and the large drives it is hooked into," he replied, point over toward a spiny chair in front of a desk with and a bunch of wires that ran underneath a door which would then be transformed over time to be another hidden panel with his equipment.
Dick froze up a bit when Tim started up with excitement on the whole Batman and Robin subject. Dick knew Tim was a huge fan of that stuff. But to be honest he was starting to feel a bit guilty that he was going to have to break it to the kid that Batman and Robin were no more.
"Actually, it's nothing like that," Dick said has he rubbed his head with his right hand. He was really not looking forward to having to explain this. But Tim had a right to know. "We've kind of gone our separate ways," Dick said.
