No, he'd never told her that story. Ever. Not that she needed to be told, considering she'd been the injuring party. Biting her lower lip, Selina nodded, and listened, shifting from the chill balcony to grab the discarded robe and tuck it around his shoulders. He could do the rest. He was one of the few men she knew that multi-task; talk and do something else.
And as he told the story with the bright-eyes of those who first encountered her namesake, she had to smile. She remembered the night, and subsequent, and prior ones vividly. She'd made a mistake, tried to figure out who had been chasing her with such vigor. And when she'd finally slipped, she'd been at a wall with him pressed to her. He'd been handsy, even.
But you can't fool someone who'd been escaping and sneaking around, and stealing for years. Since they were barely a teen. And it wasn't until she'd gotten a good look at who she'd scratched, did she feel that jolt in her chest. Even now, as she stepped out into the cool air, her fingertips brushed the scar he spoke about.
His re-telling was like a voice-over to the memory in her head. She could remember the shock on his face. When their eyes locked. When she could feel herself creeping back in to the woman in the mask, and almost reaching out, as if she were sorry. And then, she had ran. It was the closest thing that anyone, and she meant anyone got to an apology in her entire tenure of being Catwoman.
And it would be her first, and last.
"Hm." Selina offered. "Sounds like the famed thief may have a heart, if I'm hearing you right. Or maybe she just wants to get you in the sack, Theo." She teased, crossing her arms.
Especially since she had been more playful with him after that night. Even watching him, and stopping by to make sure he was ok. He'd been bright eyed about the whole thing, gloating, even. But she'd rarely let anyone even come close to her like that. And she'd honed other skills. Running. Acrobatics. Krav Maga. Just so no one would get close, again.
Nodding, she cracked a smile at his mention of Batman. "He is an asshole, I've heard. Had a run-in or two with him when I've been working at night. And maybe you are right about her. I wouldn't know. The whole mask thing really strikes me as reaching. I think the real hereos are the ones the press don't cover. You, the rest of the force."
She had to turn away as he mentioned her in a suit. Thankfully she'd never been near him in anything that skin-tight before. If she'd made that much of an impression prior, he'd be likely to not forget it. Her cheeks were hot, but she could always blame it on the cold.
Her nose scrunched as he mentioned BC. Really? Some chick who could scream? Rolling her eyes, she nodded, and laughed. "Shayera? I know her. She's a bit blunt, but quite pretty. Smart as hell, too, you know."

"That was exactly why I changed my mind about her. She wouldn't have looked back like that if she didn't have one. I just hope she uses it when she should..."
Harvey just shook his head, still a bit tickled at telling the tale. One thing he left out was the handsy part. He didn't exactly get too fresh, when you tango with a lady like that the way he did, you end up with your hands in places that may be deemed a little uncouth to some.
He snickered at the accidental feel his copped and just shrugged it off.
"Eh, he's gotten better. Used to be a real jerk, but he and I agreed to giving each other a clean slate once I was back on the force... Though, he still has his moments. At least he knows me well enough to have figured out when there was an imposter."
That was another reference to Jane Doe. When Batman notices Harvey Bullock wearing cologne, suspicions begin to arise in the dark knight's brain.
"Thanks. We do our best, well at least I do and they people that I deal with do. Some of 'em are bums, but they'll learn."
Harvey smiled to her and let her just put the robe back to him. He was nearing the end of the cigar.
"Ah, you know her? That's nice. Yeah. She's a good girl, though I gotta feelin' she's running from something, I don't know what, but whatever it is I hope she is doing well with it."
Finally Harvey stood again, heading in.
"Now, a movie. I been thinkin' about this and my recommendation is a Hitchcock flick, or a Western. You know I got much more to offer, but I thought I might help narrow things down."

He always asked the deepest questions without realizing it. Ugh. Had she used her heart when she should? She sure hoped so, even though more and more thing were not black and white, but quite grey. Very Grey. A grey that shifted in color, even.
Now that was a tidbit of info she'd have to discuss with Mr. Wayne-Batman. He knew her Theo. Quite interesting. But she still snickered at the description, and narrowed her eyes at how he phrased things. Back on the force didn't sound too good to her. But another time.
"Shayera...will figure it out in time. I'm meeting up with her for drinks again. She does like her drinks stiff and all." She was saying, without saying, that maybe they should go out. If they hadn't already. But if he was speaking this familiarly about her, she bet they already had.
Crossing her arms again, she nodded, casually rolling the sleeves of the sweater. She certainly was a sight to see. Nothing fit, her hair was still damp, loose, and she really should put it back. Otherwise she'd be faced with a rat's nest in a few hours' time.
"Oooh. You always give me the hard choices. What do you have for Hitchcock?" She asked, rolling her eyes. He just had a damn way of saying things.

"I got all the Hitchcock, baby. Birds,Vertigo, Psycho, North By Northwest. I got 'em all."
Harvey walked over to the area of his movie collection where Hitchcock could be found. He also had at least two bio flicks about Hitchcock, including the most recent in which Anthony Hopkins played ol' Al.
"You know me, I'm a sucker for the guy."
Harvey had always raved about Hitchcock. Suddenly a thought hit him.
"There's also this."
He pulled something from another stack. It was a movie called Body Double.
"This one is actually Brian de Palma's rip off of Vertigo. It's actually Melanie Griffith's debut, which is ironic, given her mom Tippy Hedren and her were harassed by Hitchcock through her child hood."

Wandering over to where he was, she cocked her head to the side to read the titles. He had really expanded his collection. Quite a bit. "You're not going to make me pick-" She started, pausing when he said he had something else that might hit the spot.
Eyes wide, she reached out to take the movie, flipping it to read the back. "I didn't know that about Melainie, or her mom. This sounds like the perfect suspense creeper flick for tonight!" ...or this morning, depending on your frame of reference.

"Alright then!"
Harvey grabbed the movie and went to his television there in his bedroom. He put the DVD where it needed to go and everything was set. He insisted on some popcorn and went to retrieve it while the DVD ran through all the bullshit.
Finally he got back with a bowl of corn and a glass of whiskey and soda for them each. He would lay on his stomach to watch the movie on his bed. Once it started he looked over to you.
"This movie is ridiculous and terrible, but I always liked it. Also, enough but not too many topless scenes. Movies that have more than, I guess, four are just trying to sell tickets they know no one was gonna buy."
Harvey hit play on the movie.

Scooting to sit on the bed, she sort of fell back into it. Tugging a blanket and pillow from the head, she made herself comfortable in a nest of sorts, scooting over to where he lay, making sure to not spill their drinks. Or the popcorn. Man, he sure knew the best accompaniments to a movie. ..even if it was a bad one.
Laughing slightly she just nodded, not really care if there were topless scenes, or not. She'd seen worse at the Iceberg. "Are you sure your eyes are fit to see this, then?" She couldn't let a good tease slip through her fingers.

Harvey wiggled his eye brows again.
"Oh, trust me, I seen a million pairs. You'd be amazed at how many naked people I have to deal with daily. Crazy and Naked just somehow go together."
Once they got into the movie, things started moving Harvey remembered something as he took a drink of soda after a little while.
"Oh yeah, that music video is in this later. Mmm that's a good song. Its one that just gets stuck on the brain for days."
Harvey fell victim to Earworms very easily. Sometimes it frustrated hime, other times it just annoyed people he worked with when they had to listen to him whistle and hum it all damn day.

Rolling her eyes at his eyebrows, she fussed with her pillow so she was partially laying on him, yet still able to balance her drink, reach the popcorn, and see the movie.
"Ick. Crazy, naked, and probably on something. I....ugh. I know what you mean." And she did, but on a different level. She dealt with crazy, stacked with crazy, and usually explosives some night. At least there was less genitalia with her endeavors.
Watching the movie, she bursts out laughing several times to the point of having to catch her breath. There was nothing better than a mediocre, campy remake to make a night.
"You're not going to be repeating that all night, you know. Or leaving me voicemails, singing crap that will then be stuck in my head. I hate when you do that shit, Theo." Poking at him with her elbow, she is quite sure that he gets her point. The alcohol, combined with the relaxing bath, and campy movie is putting her in quite the chill mood.

"Hmmm, just keep tempting me, that's how I like it."
Harvey was the king of the earworm, after all. He snickered a bit at the comment and turned his attention to the film. He'd nearly forgotten half the scenes in it. There were so many laden with risque moments. He took it with ease, rolling off the steaminess like a pro.
At least its ridiculous.
Harvey would have popcorn here and there, usually setting his drink on the floor below him to avoid having to fidget with it.
"Man, the 80s, what a bust."

She peered at him through one open eye, one shut. "You're still such an asshole. A gentleman asshole, Theo. I do believe your mother wouldapprove of that one." Shifting about every once in a while, she was caught between too warm, and too cold. She'd forgotten what it was like with a man around. Even though she was still in shorts, and a too big sweater, under the blanket, leaning on him she was burning up, but without the blanket, she was freezing. Sighing, she settled for being half-covered, half-not.
Two-thirds of the way through her drink she pressed it to his side, letting him know she was finished. The reach to the edge of the bed was too far for her arms to stretch. As the movie wound down, she found herself getting more comfortable (to which she blamed the alcohol) and leaning against him. He radiated warmth on the cool night, and she snickered at his comment. "A bust, huh? You certainly were paying attention, weren't you!" She teased him, fingers pressing into his side where she knew he was ticklish.

Harvey rolled off his stomach to his back when she was nestling up to him after setting the drink down for her. He cozied up next to her and slid his arm under her neck just as she jabbed him with her fingers. He's moved around a bit and grunted laughter.
"Yessss. Now stop. No, no, no, no, no!"
He caught her hand and held it in place. He looked at her and then to her hand. He brought it to his lips and kissed her knuckles.
"I wouldn't go around picking fights with someone bigger and meaner than me were I you, especially that asshole Bullock."

She started laughing, seeming to know his one weakness. Finally he near-headlocked her, and her laughter petered out, small gasps as he caught her hand. Green eyes went wide as he went quiet, his lips brushing her knuckles.
"Well, if this is how he starts fights, I'm doubting he'd lose, or if he's an asshole, Theo." She mused, her cheeks turning a light pink at his gesture.
"If he's an asshole, and meaner than me, I'd be shocked. But I will concede to the fact he is taller."

"You better believe it. They don't build 'em like dis no more."
Harvey was tall, indeed. He could hardly remember a time he wasn't. He reached to his wallet nearby and pulled an old photo out of it.
"I'mma show you this, and you better not tell nobody or try to steal it from me."
Harvey showed her the photo. It was a young man, probably about seventeen, he had long wild black hair, his jaw was impressive, his nose bleeding from the right nostril with a little drip under his left. He was wearing a Sex Pistols shirt with a leather studded vest on. He had a ring in his left ear and a dangerous smirk, flipping off the photographer while holding a sign that said "BULLOCK, HARVEY T." with a set of numbers under it and above it.
"The one time I got arrested."

She laughed, thankful he finally let her breathe. Rolling her eyes, she did have to agree. His heart was large, buried beneath all the bullshit he spewed.
As he went for his wallet, she bit her tongue. She didn't want to ruin his fun, but she'd seen it. Not in many, many years, but the photo was still the same.
The photo in her hands, she shook her head, eyes washing over the photo, picking out the details. Years ago, as she had been putting money in his wallet, she'd noticed the photo. She hadn't thought much of it then.
But leather? Sex Pistols? She snorted. "Never thought you for a punk. Or arrested. Sounds like you need to catch up." Passing it back, she couldn't believe he'd gotten away with all that in a mug shot.
Her fingers reached out to his earlobe, pressing together on that tiny piece of flesh. He'd been correct. "Never thought you for an earring sort!" She exclaimed, shaking her head. It must have been a few years before she met him. Before he went 'straight.'
"Good to know you had a teeny bit of fun before I met you, and you went all straight and narrow."
