Through the reflection of her compact mirror, it didn’t take long before her attention lingered from her pretty face and red lips to the couple that seemed to be swaying to the music behind her. Their closeness, their comfort ability; even in her drunkest state she could tell there was something more there. The young reporter frowned for a moment at the scene, not that she particularly envied them at all, but slightly hurt that Selina wouldn’t inform her of such feelings. After all, both she and Harvey had been over the other for a very long time now, despite the tension that lingered.
Closing her mirror abruptly so that she didn’t have to look at the scene any longer, she wobbled in her seat at the bar for a moment, giggling as she steadied herself. When a figure joined her side with a charming smile and sun-kissed skin, she straightened up slightly at the attention. Within minutes she had convinced him to buy her a drink, which she most likely shouldn’t have even brought to her lips. Still, she took a lengthy sip of the dark-colored tumbler through the thin straw.

Her arms went about his neck as they started to sway to the music. They'd danced before, after drinking, not after drinking. It always felt so right. As he mentioned Summer, Selina couldn't help but laugh at his description. "The best sort for a good friend. I'm surprised it never came up that I knew her." Or that she'd been on TV with the redhead, even. Either way, the past was past.
Raising a brow as she realized that Summer had stolen something, she nods at that. Grilling a man about his work, the minute he was off the job was a no-no. She knew that, even.
"You'd be bored with a nurse or interior decorator. I know of a florist you might want to throw your hat in, perhaps?" She didn't buckle under his weight, but shifted her own toward him to counterbalance his shift. It was a multi-layered dance with them it seemed. Always.
"Why not try an upstanding businesswoman, Detective? One that wouldn't ask too many questions?" She teased, unaware of Summer's keen eyes observing them. Perhaps to someone that was unaware of who they were, would think they were lovers. But they were more than that. Good friends. Confidants. Some things ran deeper than carnal pleasures. She could only hope that Rooster's club would afford them some privacy, instead of seeing the tabloids splashed with their faces and some sort of story. Then again, if Summer covered it, that would be something else entirely. Acceptable, to a a degree.
Sighing she leaned her head against his chest. "This reminds me of years ago. Except I was far more in the bag than now." And she had been about to leave. This time, it felt like she was on the cusp of coming home.

"Florist? Hmmm."
Harvey moved with her slowly. He tried to back his weight and subsiding drunkenness off of her a bit. He gave her a squueze at the waist when she said something about an upstanding business woman. He boasted a laugh at her reaction.
"Ah yeah? Who would that be, baby? Hmmmmmm?"
He raised a brow at her next comment and then followed it with a knowing nod. He finally cracked a hint of a smile at her.
"Hmmm, you think so? You're always in my bag, you know. Heh, bag."

Rooster seemingly reappeared from nowhere, now sitting next to summer. She looked over at the young woman and gave her a grin.
"Sorry I had to disappear, business and all that. So, how's things, Gleeson? Havin' a good time with everyone's Dirty Laundry?"
That, of course, was a reference to her work. Rooster didn't sugar coat nor did she care if she offended. She didn't have anything against reporters, but it was slightly disturbing how they often had a gleam in their eye and sparkle in their teeth when they informed the viewing audience of the atrocious things that had happened throughout the day. Gotham was a particularly bad city, so it amazed her even more someone like Summer Gleeson always seemed so well put together on the air.
Rooster took a long drain of that same moonshine that nearly blasted Bullock out of the water earlier. She handled it very well.

Summer smiled at Rooster as she slid into the seat next to her, the redhead continued to sip the water that she had been working on for a few moments now, pushing the heavily-liquored drink aside for a moment so that she could take a bit to recover. With the alcohol coursing through her system and her head already clouded, she knew it was best to currently stay seated, cautious that her skirt was not riding up when she shifted. “I understand completely, you don’t have to apologize at all.” She pushed the water away from her a bit and tossed her long hair over her shoulder to expose more of her face and chest. “Oh of course I am, it’s hard not too when I’m practically buried in it. My ratings are through the roof” Summer bragged, her sentence trailing off into a girlish giggle. She was proud of her success that basically resulted on her riding on the coattails of others mistakes. She was used to others being a bit indifferent toward her profession, and she didn’t take it offensively. After all, Summer Gleeson was dedicated to reporting to the truth despite the costs – even the deadliest of blackmail couldn’t prevent her from doing so.
“Do you watch my shows? I have a small segment each week where I spotlight local business owners. I would love to have you.” She watched the woman take a swing of what appeared to be water, though there was something that told her it wasn’t. “What’s that?” Summer asked curiously, for the sake of conversation and possibly expanding her limited alcohol knowledge.

She laughed, tilting her head to the side to watch him. As he shifted, she slipped her arms around his neck as they did the drunkard's shuffle on the dance floor, close enough that not even a piece of paper could be slipped between them. It was a striking look, her contrast to him, both dressed in some of their best for the evening.Even as he joked at her, she shot back with a mocking glance and a click of her tongue. "Oh, I know a few businesswomen, if you're looking for one. But I think a Detective like you could get to the bottom of things pretty quickly, with that large, strong, girthy wit I know you have. Or have been told you have."
She winked at him as he smirked at her."Mmm. Always in your bag. I do know what you have in your wallet, Mr. Bullock." Teasing she shifted to the balls of her feet and pressed her lips to his jaw. "But how come, as your longest standing friend, I've never been privy to your wit?" Came her words at his ear.
"When is my turn?"
