Wulfen looked at the woman and shrugged the best he could while being all tied up. "Its kinda personal." He said. He looked around the room again trying not to look at her eyes. Which for some reason was hard for him to do. He did notice something kinda strange about her. But he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was.
"I thought so too." He said. "But having some kinda strange Kung Fu style of fighting does help." He said. What he didn't say was. 'When I get a second go at him I'll show him.' He looked at her evenly as he said. "I wasn't thinking like I should have been when I fought him."
He sniffed the air again more out of habit then anything else. He looked at her hair again and then looked her in the eyes again. Then he noticed something else. What he realized was that there was something lacking in her eyes. She had no sign of worry or fear in her eyes. And he wasn't an expert but he knew that she would have it if she were kidnapped. Stockholm Syndrome didn't set in that quickly.

It's only now that VerMillion really starts to notice that he's avoiding looking at her. Seeing someone feeling an emotion that she can't is a bit... odd. The only person she's been around thus far while she's been on brave toxin is Crane, and he doesn't emote much of anything. She's noticed that the man's actions often speak of feelings, and now that she's coming more to grips with the effect that the drug has on her she suspects that's why what he does is so confusing to her sometimes. Of course, she's not a shrink so that's just speculation. She just knows that she likes being on the drug. And that seeing someone avoid her gaze while she's on it makes her feel... what is that feeling anyway?
But she's easily distracted from it by his answer about Crane, and she laughs as she says, "So in other words, he kicked your ass. And what were you thinking about when he did it then?" She has to admit that she's enjoying this interview a lot already, even though she also gets the sense that she could always push it further. There's nothing stopping her, after all, but she's also not in any hurry.
Perhaps another part of the reason why she may seem a bit 'off' to him if he's used to smelling with the nose of a canine is that kind of nose can literally smell fear - or at least the effect of that emotion on one's body chemistry. And she's lacking in that scent entirely at the moment, though the absence of a scent is less noticeable than the presence of one. And it's true that there's nothing beyond a certain calmness and perhaps a bit of amusement in her eyes. That's a part of the reason why she's so relaxed, actually - she's not angry or bored either so as far as she's concerned life is good.

Wulfen gave the woman a glare. It wasn't an evil or angry glare. More of a 'oh ha ha' glare. "Yes I got my ass kicked from someone who wishes that he 'only had a brain'" He said referencing the Wizard of Oz. He looked away from her slightly.
'What are you doing?' Lupin asked.
'Remember what happened last time I looked a woman in the eyes?' Wulfen said.
He looked at the radio equipment some and then he tried to look for a door. But he couldn't see anything that looked like a door from his angle. He then found himself looking at VerMillion again. "If you don't mind me asking. How did you get 'VerMillion'? He asked. He looked at her and tried to tell what she was up too. He looked at her and tried to tell what she was thinking. But he had to look away because he got a strange feeling when he looked at her. So he looked back at the radio equipment as to not allow himself to look at her eyes.

VerMillion smirks slightly at his Wizard of Oz reference - she'd never realized the connection before, but yeah there's a Scarecrow in it. However, that's not why she's smirking at it. "You do realize that would make the fact that you lost so much more pathetic, right?" she asks, laughing and noting that he really is trying hard to not look at her now. Interesting...
Though she loses that train of thought again when he suddenly asks a question of his own. "Yes I mind," she replies, "Because one, I'm the interviewer and you are the interviewee, and two, you didn't answer my last question." She waves a finger at him once in a scolding fashion before adding, "But vermilion is a red-orange color, like my hair. Capitalize the M and add an extra L to emphasize the 'million', and that's me." So simple, and yet so iconic - a good 'stage name' of sorts.
What, exactly, her motives here are probably very difficult to read. Mostly because she doesn't have any. At least, not beyond simply enjoying this. In fact she's not even thinking very much beyond her next question at the moment. Planning things in advance is for people who are worried about what will happen if they don't, and even when she's not on any toxin she's not one to have a particular plan for an interview.

When she pointed out that what he just said made his defeat even worse he scowled. Though the top part of his head was hidden under his mask........ Well all but his eyes. He looked at her and made a decision right then and there. "Oh....... I'll get better.. And when I do he won't know what hit him." He said. "I wasn't thinking before." Then he paused and remembered something a certain alien had told him before. "Actually........... I was thinking. I was trying to plan out what to do............... But next time....... Next time I'll do things abit differently." He said all with a highly determined tone in his voice.
He looked at her and wondered what was wrong with her. If he had been kidnapped then he would have been trying to get out or try and contact someone or if he was given access to all of this stuff in the room he would be using it to try and get out. But for some reason this woman seemed perfectly content to stay here. He started to try and find a weakness in his restraints. But in a manner that didn't let her know what he was doing.

When VerMillion hears the note of determination in his voice, she laughs a little before commenting, "You don't see it, do you?" She shakes her head before explaining, "He took you here alive. That's harder than killing you. Which is harder than just defeating you. Which is harder than fighting you to a draw, which is harder than getting away from you. He didn't just win, he crushed you. This isn't a 'I'll do better next time' thing. Especially since you can't be sure that there will be a 'next time'." Optimism, may I introduce you to cold, hard reality?
She shakes her head before adding, "Are you sure that you're cut out for the whole vigilante thing? I mean, I lost too, but I'm not running around in a costume at night either." She hardly put up a fight, actually, though that was because she knew that she'd lose. At least, once she remembered just how outmatched she was, anyway. Similarly to that, it wouldn't matter if she noticed him struggling against his bonds or not - she's incapable of being afraid that he'll escape, and would fail to recognize the significance of that without a forceful reminder. But it wasn't her that tied him up, it was Crane.

Wulfen only smiled at what she said. "Oh...... Yes I know he crushed me...... But that doesn't mean I have a reason to stop." He said. He looked at her. "History is full of examples of someone crushing their enemies only to be later defeated by them." He said He looked at her with a new found force in his eyes.
He started to slowly struggle against the binds on his hands. He was simply trying to get his hands free. "And I admit running around at night like this might now be the best idea out there." He said. "But its better then just sitting around doing nothing." Then he paused. "All that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." He said. He didn't care how he sounded. He just knew that he wasn't going to give up. Also what he didn't realize was that this whole time he was staring her straight in the eye.

"History is also full of examples of someone crushing someone so badly that you never see them again. The David and Goliath thing is the exception to the rule - and from where I'm sitting you don't look that exceptional," VerMillion comments somewhat patronizingly, looking him over as if sizing him up. "And I'd think that it would be better for the good men to do nothing than get themselves killed," she adds, rolling her eyes a little at the quote.
She's about to say more, but then she actually takes note that he's now meeting her unfaltering gaze, and it's easy for her to see the emotion there. "Look at you, you can't even control your temper!" she says disapprovingly, shaking her head again, "We're just talking, you know." Technically, she's even more of a victim here than he is, even. She just doesn't care about it because she's on drugs.

"You forget what tends to happen to those guys who crush the little guys. Eventually they get so many enemies that they have no hope of winning." Wulfen said. "And I'm not trying to look exceptional." He was still glaring at her intently.
He was about to push the subject when she said that he couldn't control his temper. "I-" He stopped himself and realized that she was right... He was loosing his temper. He visibly softened and relaxed. "In a much softer voice and with a much softer look in his eyes. "I'm sorry.... I didn't mean to get angry like that." He said. "You just hit a raw nerve with me." He added. "Please forgive me." He may not have wanted to be here. And he may have been kidnapped. But he still had no reason to act the way he was. "Ya know....... I may have actually needed someone to kick my ass to wake me up."

Glare as he might, VerMillion doesn't show the slightest sign of looking away. Instead she's meeting his angry stare, still looking just as relaxed as she has been the entire time. She's not afraid of making him angry, after all. "I didn't forget that - everything ends sooner or later," she says with a shrug, "I'm just saying that you look like a 'sooner'. And I'm not talking about the costume, but where you're sitting." She smirks a little at that.
And when he apologizes she immediately shrugs it off. "You don't need to say you're sorry - didn't bother me," she comments with a laugh, looking a lot more amused than she is upset, "But isn't that supposed to be a bad thing for 'heroes'? Honestly, if you get out of this alive you might want to rethink that whole thing. I mean, you don't seem to be off to a very good start. At all. And I doubt someone kicking your ass once is going to fix it." She shakes her head again before asking, "What made you think that this was a good idea, anyway?"

"I wouldn't say I'm going to end soon." He said. "I've been raised to not give up until there is absolutely no way to go on." Wulfen looked at the woman again. He knew that she was probably used to this type of thing. Though her interviewee probably wasn't tied up. But the fact that she didn't seem to care in the slightest seemed strange to Wulfen. She should have been annoyed at least.
"And thanks for pointing that out for me. I'll do better...... In more ways then one." He said thinking of all the ways he could do better in life. It was her comment 'if you get out alive' that made him think that. It was the prospect of death that always made a human think about what they've done with their life and where they were going. "I guess it was mu grandfather that made me thin this was a good idea." He said. "He stood up for what was right and went into law enforcement." He finished. It was partly true. His uncle may have been the one who went into law enforcement and raised Victor to be who he was. But it wasn't going to say that on a radio show. After all he didn't want everybody to know who he was under this mask.

"Well, you are tied to a chair," VerMillion points out dryly. And she was being perfectly honest when she said that she doubts that Crane will just let him leave when they're done, but that doesn't concern her. And she's not concerned mostly because she can't worry about anything - worry is just the fear that something bad will happen, and she can't fear. So she can't worry about what will happen to Wulfen, or what may happen to herself. Actually, since she's been here with Crane for a few days now and hasn't harmed her she suspects that he may not be planning on doing that, for whatever reason. So no, she's not bothered by any of this in the slightest. At worst she's somewhat annoyed, but not about anything relating to Wulfen. And even then not enough to complain too much about it. And since she has none of that in mind at the moment, she's really quite content with the here and now.
"If you say so," she replies to his 'promise' to do better. But she quickly shifts gears when he comments on why he's a vigilante. "You think that law enforcement is 'right'?" she asks with a disbelieving laugh, yet she suddenly seems to be just a bit more interested in the conversation again, "Not in Gotham, it isn't. But what is 'right', anyway?"

Wulfen nodded. True he was tied to a chair. He didn't comment on it though he didn't really enjoy dwelling on that fact. Or being in that situation.
"If I thought law enforcement was right you would have a cop tied to a chair. Not a wolf." He said. "But my granddad.... He was right." He said. Thouhg of course he meant his uncle. His grandad thought him to be loyal to those he lives with. After all his grandad was kinda the black sheep of the family. What with having served on the German Heer during WWII. But he wasn't going to say that. After all she was interviewing Wulfen...... Not Victor.

"So you're saying that law enforcement isn't right, but you are?" VerMillion asks, looking a little amused by that thought. "That's a rather bold claim to make. Which is why that second question I asked wasn't rhetorical, by the way," she adds, frowning at him slightly. It really does make it hard to interview him if he's going to keep skipping over questions like that. It reminds her of politicians in a way, trying to get around answering the really hard ones.
Then again, Crane does that to her all the time and she finds that she doesn't mind it as much. Sure it's frustrating, especially since it happens so frequently, but it just isn't as bad. Then again, a part of her annoyance with Wulfen is that he seems to just not be paying close enough attention. And he's being interviewed for a radio broadcast, for pity's sake! Then again, she is completely blind to the fact that he may have other things on his mind in this situation than her questions.

Wulfen had to stop and think about what he had just said. He didn't mean what ever it was that he sounded like he meant. "No I'm not saying that." He had to stop and think about what he was going to say.. Or rather how he was going to say it. "Well you see........ There are some law enforcement officials that abuse their power. Others that don't." Then he paused and thought some more. "I'm not going to say what's right and wrong because everything is relative......... But there are somethings that just shouldn't be done." Needless to say he was confused.
"I guess that is as good an answer as your gonna get right now." He said. "I'm still alitte dazed from last night." Then he rolled his neck. "Does that go a ways towards answering your question?" He asked and relaxed abit when he felt the binds around his wrist loosen. He was no closer to getting out. But he had blood flow to his hands again.
