Dick stopped for a moment hearing her out. She had seen a B. And then said said an A. And guessed Batman? This wasn’t making sense to him. It wasn’t adding up. And Dick would never in a million years put Batman on his phone. That was what the com-link was for.
He could hear her foot steps moving farther away again. Something was definitely off. And Dick had an idea of the name of who had called. Because Bruce never called him in the morning. And if it had been important at that time. He would have tried the com-link first at this time.
Something was more off about the way Kory was saying it more than any thing. Dick pulled the shower curtain a bit and leaned forward. So that only his head and half his chest and shoulder were visible as he wanted to see how Kory was acting. His black shaggy hair was now wet and clinging to his forehead and the water was still running over his shoulders.
”Kory. Is something up,” he asked at first. He then saw that she did have his phone in hand. Not sure if she had been just getting it for him or not.
”Let me see the phone a sec,” Dick said rather than asked. He wanted to see for himself. He knew something didn’t sound right. He wasn’t going to call Kory out on anything. Dick was a bit concerned over how she was acting over this now. She just seemed a bit uneasy about all this at the moment.

Just a little pacing. Breathing. Butterflies. Still trying to find that element of which this could be joyful. She was sure there was. if not now, perhaps later. As the bathroom grew more silent. The mist was all that separate it all. Batman. That could work. Yet she knew it wouldn't because it was a lie. Why was Kory lying and especially to him? She didn't like this. Never did, but Who was she to go against Barbara's words? Yet, she never said not to tell him it was her. Wouldn't that be some kind of a message. As Kory was really running things over her head as ultimately she was feeling something she just wasn't so sure about. Something was slightly off and up until now. Dick was seemingly happier. She didn't want to ruin it. This. Perhaps she knew, but she wasn't willing to face it exactly. Kory wandered a little in her room. Before finding herself sitting on her bed for only a short moment. Before realising Dick had said something. She could hear the rustling of the curtains and see him looking at her. As he asked. He knew it. She knew it. She couldn't lie to him. Where Barbara said not to, just something in Kory knew he had to know something. This was what had also been on his mind. Kory was sure after they kissed. Why she had been careful and knew there was something he needed to face. To sort out his emotions. As it was one thing she could do was read emotions as she wore hers so openly. Yet it was never easy for her to fake emotions. Lie. Like she was now. As her hand ran again through her hair. Breathed. Smiled reassuring as she got back at her feet. As she more daintily made her way. With just a couple of butterflies still, some had died and got stuck. Was a uncomfortable feeling. Then Dick requested for the phone. As her green eyes looked to his and half away as she broke the space. Her hand shook a little. Handing him the phone. Lightly. Gently.
"Yes there is... Conflicting emotions, Dick... I... It was Barbara... She didn't leave a message, so I wasn't sure whether to tell you, you seemed almost peaceful... But I guess I was never good at lying... Forgiveness?"
There Kory felt a better. Well quite better. As she did speak honestly with him. As well she could right now. As her green eyes looked up into his blue eyes. Felt the thud of her heart, as she smiled softly. She didn't want to be in the middle, this was something he needed to face. Kory was sure it wasn't about her. As Kory happily admitted lying wasn't her strong suit. Her eyebrows raised in hope he could forgive her. Trying to be kind when giving her words and as innocently as she could. She was innocent. As her hand without realising had clutched the towel quite a lot. As Kory stepped back a little after giving him the phone. So to give him the space.

A slight look of discomfort over the situation came to Dick at first. There was more concern to it than any because of the name that had been said. And for him, he was not exactly sure what had been said. If that and anything that could have been told between. Though there we the chance that she had not answered the phone.
He took the phone from her and stared at the screen for a bit. The water was still running down his arms a bit as the shower continued. He wasn’t sure whether or not to be angry. Kory never meant to do anything without the best intentions.
”And you really thought you’d be able to hide that fact,” Dick said. He pulled back into the shower a bit. Phone still in hand. And with the other, he turned the water off. The sound of the last of it dripping out of the nozzle and going down the drain carried.
Dick returned to the curtain again and pulled it a bit to see Kory again. ”You really were never good at lying,” Dick agreed a slight smile on his face at her. She seemed so worried over it. There was no proof that she had said anything. He wasn’t going to let that bother him at the moment.
What happened happened and he’d have to face it sooner or later. He’d contact Babs back then. He’d find out what was going on and what might have been said. Right now, Kory was trying her best to keep everything at peace and Dick was going to go along with it and try to stay calm and relaxed. But that wouldn’t keep it out of his mind.
”Um Kory....Do you mind? I kind of want that towel back if that’s alright,” Dick said to her as he watched her clutch the towel in her hands as all this had been going on.

The phone soon then left Kory's hand. Rather firmly taken by Dick's hand. Felt like a thousand pulses throughout her body. As he was almost hard to read. His eyes. His face. One thing Kory knew something was going around in his head. Her skin felt a little on heat and it wasn't from the steam of the shower. It was that thing she just didn't really know what had just happened or was, but she knew something was. Kory felt the pulling back at her chest as Dick spoke, was it sharply? As her eyes ran over the spot asking that question where it was now empty. Dick had moved back into the shower. Did he not want to look at her? Had she really done something wrong? As Kory fidgeted with her toes a little and bit her lip. This was really her way of surviving. She had survived so much worse than this and all of a sudden she felt vulnerable. She had opened up and that. She couldn't be guilty. Regret. It would be fine.
"I wasn't trying to hide anything from you... I don't like this anymore than you do... I'd never wish to fool you, Dick."
Kory spoke calmly as slowly the butterflies for now began to settle, though the faint change between her brows remained there. She would never hide anything from him. How could he think that? Was she doing that? She ran through her mind. From a world where everyone hardly ever hid, it was just something she was used to seeing let alone doing it herself. Kory really didn't like lying or anything to that nature if she could help it. As Kory gently shook her head her eyes not quite on him, but she knew he was there. Kory could feel his eyes. Yet, he seemed calm. There wasn't a great change in his breathing. Kory's eyes finally glanced to him directly. As he requested the towel. Almost feeling her head shake off this slight pause. Did he almost smile? Then suddenly Kory felt things were a little better. He'd forgiven her. At least that's what it felt. She could always trust that he would.
"Would this maybe have to do with what was bothering you last night, that you didn't want to tell me? I understand if you need to go see Barbara before we go... If we're still going that is?"
Kory finally smiled again. As she blushed realising her death claw on the towel and loosened the grip. Then calmly motioned to pass him the towel. Her green eyes for a moment to admire his wet skin, what she could see it. Her eyes swirling around before landing on his eyes. As she asked friendly enough. She wasn't wanting to go into detail, but if this was what it was about. It just made a little more sense. Knowing then he probably needed to sort this out, what ever it was. Kory could wait... If he still wanted to go. Felt the slight tug of her heart. Her eyes raised up as she asked. Then slowly backed up and exited the bathroom. So he'd have room. Finding herself back into her bedroom. Her eyes darting to the kitchen. She really needed him to come to New York, if anything they still could be friends. Even though after the kisses and him sleeping in her bed, there was no doubt she would always love him. As then Kory asked with a hopeful smile, if he would eat before leaving.
"Did you want breakfast, before you leave?"

Dick grabbed for the towel as she had been handing it out to him now. Dick didn’t want to answer her question about what had been bothering him, but she was getting close to hitting the nail on the head. Dick held the towel as he pulled it behind the curtain with him and wrapped it around his waist.
”You just have the need to know everything don’t you? Or at least what is bothering me,” Dick replied half jokingly. He was just playing around a bit, not wanting to actually answer her.
Holding the towel together just for reinsurance with one hand and the cell phone in the other, Dick pulled the shower curtain open all the way now as he stepped out of the shower. His hair still dripping as it all clung to him from after the washing it and the water that was left ran down his body in droplets as stood out in the open now.
”But yeah, that has something to do with my reasons for my mind being else where,” Dick replied honestly this time. ”But no, we are still going on our trip.”
Dick had already said they were going and they were going. As she had left the bathroom, Dick set down his cell phone on the sink and grabbed another towel. Throwing it over his head and rubbing his hair dry slightly.
”Kory, I already said we would go and I will not break my promise,” Dick replied as he walked around in the bathroom and slipped on the pair of sweatpants he had been wearing earlier, leaving the towel hanging on a hook on the wall.
He let the other towel hang around his neck as he grabbed his phone and the shirt as well. He walked out of the bathroom and back into Kory’s room as she spoke, He continued to rub his hair with the towel to dry it further.
”I’m not sure,” Dick answered her question some what about breakfast as he stepped into the room. He glanced down at his Nigthwing suit. He wasn’t quite sure what he was going to do about getting his bike back at first.

There Kory felt his hand pull for the towel. For a moment she held on, but not much after did she let it go. Felt something in his eyes. Avoiding something. Or perhaps something in her words hit something. She wasn't really trying at anything, other than to understand these conflicted emotions. This situation. Still getting distracted to when he had kissed her last night. It had quite made sense. At least she thought it had or almost had. She had come to know a couple of things. One thing she felt his pull. He loved her, but she wasn't sure it was enough for him. With the still ever desire to kiss him again. To simply be with him. A day in New York would defiantly help. She would continue to feel what she felt, but she could manage being friends. Kory was met with him again. Having wrapped the towel around him and seemingly trying to joke.
"Of course I would like to know what's bothering you... Holding everything like you do, can't always be good for you, but I'm not trying to push you... You don't have to go into details... I understand a little more now. Is why I asked."
Kory honestly told him. With quite a smile as she was meaning to be quite friendly. Wondering why it was seeming almost new to him that she cared about him. Kory didn't need to know the details of what was bothering him, least not until he was ready to tell her. Just knowing some sense just made it a little more sense, rather than quite no sense as it was just moments ago. Her eyes looked to his as honestly as she could when speaking to him. Finding it sweet he was the more calm one between the two for a moment in time. It was quite hard not to admire him. Why would she not want to do that? With that Dick had stepped out of the shower. Kory felt that swirl through her entire body. Oh ok. There were possibly new butterflies. The better kind ones. Almost her cheeks blushed and she smiled. Almost. Feeling her heart thud and her breath rather caught. Her green eyes didn't shy as they trailed him. He still had it. Oh, most defiantly. As balanced them upon his chest. Where she had played with somewhat last night. As her eyes followed the water drops. Almost felt her tongue escape her, but she was contained. Smiling softly. Before her eyes then scanned over his scars. It really had been something. She sweetly looked up to him. As the water dripped from his hair lightly that it ran beautifully down his face. Realising she was maybe standing there a little long. Standing still in not much than a T-shirt. Before her smile grew so bright. There was still a trip and suddenly she felt herself more relaxed. New York. Oh she was so excited. Most importantly because he was coming to share it. Lose themselves at least for a day. Felt herself smiling as she moved to the bedroom. Left Dick to do the rest of the dry. Not without a finally couple of peeks of course. Before he followed with more of the same attire as before. Yet, still handsome. Stopping at her door to the lounge area. At his words. Never had such words seemed so sweet and there Kory knew he meant them. A promise.
"I'm so happy to hear you say that... I really am ... I've really missed New York... I wonder if it missed us, though?"
Kory broke some space moving back somewhat into the room and towards Dick. He was always good at saying such sweet things at the right time. Really he seemed to know her heart. Or in cases he really was just sweet, because of his own heart. As her cheeks glowed so bright. Happy to show him this emotion. That he could truly give her the gift of smiles. Real smiles. Just joy. This trip was going to be a blast. Kory was sure of it. As she motioned enough that she reached out for just a moment. Her hand to his. Before retreating it as she mentioned New York and lightly remarked if it missed them. Her eyes then crossed over him as he mentioned he wasn't sure if he wanted breakfast.
"Do you not feel well? Though eating something might help... Please at least come sit for a bit. No need for you to rush off."
Kory asked wondering was he not really feeling well for food. As Kory kindly spoke to him. Caring. Sure eating something might even make him feel better or even just to sit. It might be nice for a little company before New York and could possible be the calm before his storm awaiting him. Her eyes followed his to his suit. The look in his eyes, frustrated. She almost knew exactly his thoughts. The toying about how to best leave her place and in the daylight. The bike! Kory then remembered was down below. She also remembered a certain something that might help. He could possible stuff the suit somewhere to take with him, or Kory was happy to look after it. Kory eyed him kindly before moving over to her closet. Opening the doors and was on a search. Ah. As she pulled it within her grasp. Closed the doors and walked over to Dick with the bike helmet within her grasp. Handing it to him if he wanted.
"Here! Would this help?"

”Well if it isn’t, it hasn’t killed me yet,” Dick said jokingly understanding what Kory was getting at about stress and not letting it out. He knew how that could be fully and has seen it many times. Not only in himself, but with others as well.
Dick smiled as he walked out and looked at Kory. She had always cared for him and she always meant well. But sometimes he needed to do things his way and alone. It was best for him at times. Growing up with a man of stone it was easy to see why someone like himself was so quiet about things.
Though surprisingly people could be quite surprised themselves when they had first met the Dark Knight’s partner. Well ex-partner now. But even now those that first meet him and hear of his up bringing are still a bit shocked at how much lighter he was personality wise compared to the Dark Knight.
But that wasn’t to say that Bruce didn’t have a lighter side. Dick knew Bruce better than anyone else. Well except for Alfred. Bruce had done what he could to provide Dick with the best in life and trained him well. Dick never regretted the decision he had made in joining the fight. And Bruce had never been one to stand in his way completely from letting him join.
There were a few times though. But now Dick had known they where all decisions made in his best interest. Though there were still a lot of things that had ticked him off. He understood being sidelined for injuries and all. But the way Batman had handled some people with such brutality and no emotion for those around. It was what separated Robin from Batman.
It was one thing to demand for answers, but if there was family around. That was different. Things were different. They were different. Dick had seen the true colors of Bruce’s brutality at times. And how dark he could get lost within his own mind. And Dick wanted nothing to do with it. The Titans had been a chance for him to take charge and lead for himself.
There were so many other things the separated Dick from Bruce. But the feel of lack of respect for the rules that had been set and only one of them allowed to break them had been the end of it all. Call it lack of emotion or what ever you wanted, but Dick wasn’t going to stand in his shadow forever.
”Have you ever known me to back down from my word,” Dick replied to her. Dick’s eyes followed her as she walked across the room again.
”I’m feeling fine. I’m just not hungry is all,” Dick half lied. It was that feeling of guilt that was nagging at him. For possible what he had done and what was going on. He just could settle himself over it after thinking about it.
Bt he would go on with the day. This was not something Kory needed to get involved in. This was his alone to work out.
As she walked back over to him with a helmet in hand, Dick smiled at the sight. He remember a while back when he had told her to hold onto the helmet for if she ever felt like going for a ride with him, back when they had been at the Titan tower.
”Thanks. It might help. I think the best thing for me to do is to just get back to the Batcave since it’s daylight. It will be easy enough to get some stuff I need at the manor. Alfred always keeps spare things around for the bat-family,” Dick said recalling the nickname the group of them had picked up from outsiders referring to the bunch of vigilantes.

There came the attempt to roll her eyes at his words. Being charming as always. Not regarding his death of course, that was a road she did not want to face. No, never she could help it. As her eyes trailed to his blues one. Finding him so wonderfully calming, even if like he had said had his mind on matters he was hoping to take care in private. Her hand lightly touching his cheek for a moment that though he joke, there was an understanding. Smiling softly before the swing of her barely covered hips as walking further in the room, her hands then grasping the helmet. Feeling his eyes strung upon her. Following her. Felt herself relaxing more. He was here. He really did wake up beside her. Kissed her passionately last night. That her fingers gently brushed her lips, remembering it. Smiling softly with her back towards him. Felt the warmth of his voice once again. As if walking from her dream. Felt the pinch of her cheeks, blushing ever so gently.
"No... I guess not... Not that I can recall that is... You were always good to me. Someone I can count on."
Kory began saying with the shaking of her head. Sure there were moments Dick could be stubborn. Serious, but she couldn't ever recall when he wouldn't keep a promise. He was there when she needed him the most. As Kory motioned on her feet. Turning and finishing her words so she could best see his eyes. His face. Smiling softly her eyes almost trying to fish for times he had truly let down, but if there were any. Kory had forgotten, because mistakes didn't matter. Her love, now that mattered. As her hands clutched the helmet. Kory's eyes softened as his warm voice spoke again. Smiling gladly he was feeling fine. Kory wasn't sure whether he was exactly truthful, but she respected his words. He really had something on his mind. Something he needed to take care of. Kory was sure she hadn't created any problem, but it was rather unexpected. Offering a friendly understanding nod. Before she broke the distance and gave him his helmet. Dark and shiny. She remembered it fondly. As her hands finally felt it leave her grasp. Each item she had was very precious to her, not as precious as he was to her. Felt the heat come to her cheeks as he smiled. Every time he didn't smile, she missed it. Just as that faint look in his eyes every time he looked upon her. Felt the wonderful sensation as their hands touched. Reminded for a moment last night. Upon his bike as the rest of the world zoomed by.
"Anytime. I'm here to help. I can look after your suit for now and drop it off later, if you'd like.. Certainly, it'll give me some time to get ready and the sooner we can leave... What time do you think you'll be back? Anytime, will work for me."
Kory responded with a beautiful bright grin, as she welcomed his thanks. Softening her smile as though she half didn't want him to leave, but she knew he had to. A little free time to do what she needed to do before leaving to New York. Returning with Robin, now Nightwing. It was quite something. Kory then bend down slowly, taking the fabric of his suit in her hand. Holding it out a little. Admiring it a little with a smile. Her fingers lightly played over the blue symbol. Before gracefully draping it over her arm. Yep, she wouldn't mind holding on it a little longer. Giving a sweet look to him. She was sure he had another in the meantime. As her fingers gently pulled at the zipper. Almost escaping a breath of laughter. Reminded of last night, hmmm. Not quite, it was working a lot better now. As the carnival she could almost quite envision now. The fireworks. They were always so beautiful and the smell of Cotton Candy. As her eyes brimmed with the joy in her head at his. Defiantly the sooner the better, but Kory didn't want to rush him of course. When ever he was ready. Kory was most defiantly ready.

Dick looked at the suit and then her again as he stood there holding the helmet. He laughed a bit at her statement and her not really thinking about how he was going to get out of there with the bike. He smiled at her again.
”Kory, I kind of need the suit to get the bike out of here. What would that say to people a civilian on a vigilante bike? I don’t think I’m ready to go public with my identity like a few of our friends,”[/color[ he spoke lightly.
Dick set the helmet and phone down on the bed. And one last time he took the towel he had been using to dry his hair and rubbed his head again. At least now his hair was not dripping wet any more. But as he removed the towel, his shaggy hair was a mess. Messier than he usually had it on his days out.
He dropped the towel on the floor, with only good intention of picking it up again before he left. Looking at the shirt he had been holding and set on the bed, he glanced at the Nightwing suit again.
”I should probably just suit up again since I’ll have to ride my bike out of here and to the cave,” Dick said.
Dick grabbed for his cell phone to see the time. It was still early and it wouldn’t take them too long to get to New York. But he knew Kory wanted to pick up a few things. So it might be best to go to her place and see what she needs and get it set to pack into the car and have it ready for when they got back to the apartment after the fair.
”Would around noon be fine? There are a few things I want to clear up and take care of,” Dick commented. His tone not quite as cheerful as before, but still lacked the stern strength to it if he had been upset over something.

Was there something she was missing. Kory half began to laugh herself, yet was mildly confused. As Kory was quite happy to hold on to his suit. Perhaps he would forget about it. As her finger ran across a seam. No. He hardly forgets anything. In time. In time. Kory mumbled over. Besides she was much more enjoying watching him wearing it and well, her being able to pull it off of him again. Kory smiled softly. As if when he spoke it clicked in her head. Talk about being a little eager. She thought giving him a innocent look. Rolling her eyes slightly and handed him the suit... Wait. Wait. This means. He needs it on. Kory couldn't help playing over in her mind. That she could help with.. To make sure the zipper doesn't break this time. As Kory's hand halted for a moment at the thought. Brimmed a smile and then properly handed it to him.
"Oh Right, here you go... I think they'd say your very handsome... Would you need my guidance to put it back on? Make sure the zipper is working properly."
Kory expressed happily. Innocently that she had realised. Her bad. As her hand motioned to his to properly hand it over. Her face lightened as he questioned what people said. Nothing bad was all she could think of. Running her tongue gently across her teeth. Oh, my. Kory half gasped. As Dick worked the towel again. It was seemingly like slow motion. As her green eyes followed his wet hair until it wasn't dripping anymore. Feeling a sweet smile. Amused as his hair was a mess now, but still suited him. As her hand motioned to play with it a little. Laughing softly. Taming it just a little bit for him. Oh, my. She kept rolling around in her head. Being so close again. She felt her heart race. Smiling softly as Kory half heard his words. Mostly admiring his voice. So purely warm. Inviting. As he set his things upon the bed... Oh. Suit time. Kory was a little excited, but ready for him to kick her out. She was sure she wouldn't peak. Lightly playing a finger on her lips with a smile.
"Noon, will be perfect... Just perfect."
Kory happily buzzed. Her eyes gently watched as his tone slightly died. He really had things to take care of. Though she wished to know thinking it would help, Kory knew it was best to let things be how he wished for them. Soon he'll be honking that horn out her window and before they know it they'll be in New York city. The wind in their hair. It already was feeling home was near. Very near. Kory had missed it quite a bit... It was making the trip though having Dick as company. Her friend. Kory's most allied friend. It hurt how much she loved him, but it was worth it just to be near him. Soon with fun at the carnival. Stuffed bears and cotton candy disappearing in their mouths. Kory half laughed. Her eyes filled with joy, Dick having not much of a clue right about now. As Kory could recall the times spent with Cotton Candy, sharing it between kisses. Like Magic it would disappear and Kory would laugh or better yet, be lost within his lips. Hmmm. Much like last night. As Kory stood there half day dreaming. Happily.

”No, you’re assistance will not be required for helping with my suit up,” Dick spoke some what seriously over the later. Though his eyes said differently compared to how his seriousness was making it sound like getting ready for a patrol.
”I’m sure the zipper will be fine. And please lets not mention that to anyone,” Dick spoke. The last part more of a plead over how embarrassing that would be to have out of the bag. He’d never hear the end of it from his former teammates if they found out. His cheeks where a light shade of red over recalling that time.
But his heart was pounding harder and he felt his temperature rise a little over remember. Just remembering the events last night that led up to what had happened between them, There was no way he could deny what had happened and what he had felt. It was all a matter of how he was going to have to handle it.
”Come on. The sooner I get changed the sooner we can head out for New York,” Dick said as he got his suit from Kory. His one hand taking it and the other hand on the small of her back to help lead her out of the room. Otherwise he felt like she would stand there all day if she had a chance. And he wanted to get going before anything else might happen.
”I’ll only be a minute and then within a few hours we’ll be heading out alright,” Dick confirmed her has he had guided her to the door gently and turned to shut the door for a bit. He didn’t bother to think that she might try to sneak a peak. But he was more or less in a hurry to get going with the day and contact Barbara most of all.
He wasn’t sure how he was going to handle this. Or how he was going to put it. He wasn’t so sure he could truthfully lie to the one woman he loved so much. But he had a gut feeling it wasn’t going to go down well.
Dick made back toward the bed, with his suit in hand, he began to change into the Nightwing suit again. It felt funny seeing as the sun was just raising and having to suit up again. Not something he did every morning. As he managed to get it on, slipped the upper part of the suit’s body on and then zippered it with not trouble.
Dick then grabbed his phone and looked around the room quickly. He needed to try and find his gloves since they had his mask within them. Looking around, he then realized he must have left them in the living-room from earlier.
He then headed to the door and opened it, heading to grab his gloves after he had grabbed the helmet from off the bed.

There at Dick's words. Kory had to smile. He was more than cute at this hour. What was Kory thinking. Every hour. Shaking her head slightly in amusement. The tone in his voice. The way his eyes played at hers. Yeah. She was holding him up and for once she wasn't sure why exactly. Stalling him. When Kory just as much wanted to get to New York just as quick. Not as if she would think he wouldn't show. Perhaps it was just that long time a part, but as Kory was helped out the door. Kory seriously knew that the real catching up was just around the corner. Perhaps a little over joyed, but that hardly ever was a bad thing. Right? There was time to be shared and unbelievably tons more to share.
Then came the reopening of her door. After which Kory had found his Nightwing gloves. Black with the blue stripe along the middle fingers. They had been left near the couch. Her eyes grazed the couch for a moment, not for too long. Near where he had kissed her only some hours ago. Caused her breath just at the thought to get caught. Recalling the placement of his hands. Firm, but gentle. Oh. Right. As Kory took her place before the door. To see Dick grace her with his presence. Unable to really fail her eyes to run up and down his suit. Hmmm. Hmmm. Yeah it looked good. He must have been working out more. Kory recalled how firm his chest was under her hands last night. It was one thing to feel through the fabric, but without. It was rather nice. Oh, then came his inquiry on his gloves. Kory smiled amused. Surely he knew they were behind her back. As her eyes playfully left him not straight forwardly looking at him for a moment. Revealing a hand as she played a finger upon her lips. Pretending to look for his gloves. Ok. It had been sometime since Dick slept over and well, Kory was lamely trying to keep the air light. Really, was using every little ounce she could before sending him off. It had been quite some time. Oh. Kory silently expressed her lips. Her eyes catching the little bit of his zip he missed. Or perhaps not and Kory was just playing. An excuse. Well, hardly. Kory innocently played her eyes. Breaking the little distance, to motion with his gloves upon her hands. To work at his zipper. It was just a little extra zipping. Kory playfully looked at him seriously, got to be properly dressed.
"Oh... Here let me help you... There, much better... The fabric is really quite comfortable, what is it exactly? I quite like them... What do you think? Do they suit me?"
With that last little jiggle with his zipper. Offered him a reassuring smile. As Kory lightly went to place her hands at his chest. Still could feel quite a lot of him between the fabrics. Removing her hands before it would seem more than a friendly gesture and remain light hearted. As she played her hands together with the gloves. Caressing to feel the fabric and wiggled her fingers. They were a little over sized as well Dick had much more manly hands than she did, but of course. Holding one out a bit to best inspect it as she half walked away. As if she had no plans to give them back. With a cheeky smile. Before turning to ask his opinion. Then she half expected his eyeing and request. Kory half playing to roll he eyes. He needed them more than she did. Moving to pull them off finger by finger and offer them back.

”Kory. I’m sure it will be fine. It’s only happened once and this is one of the newer suits,” Dick said to her response. He knew she was only playing around. But he needed to try and keep his mind clear and having her around at that time was only going to dig him into deeper trouble for himself.
Last night had been a mistake. But oddly enough he did not regret how he felt last night. There was just something else bothering him over the whole thing. And it was mainly the fact that he was going to have to talk with Barbara. He knew the phone had been answered. It had said the call had been intercepted at some point.
What had been said was said. And what was said, he didn’t know. But he knew Kory would mean no harm in what she says. Though Barbara was his friend, he didn’t want to hurt her. And now he feared he had greatly.
As he had gotten changed, he was pretty sure the door had been slightly opened a few times. He ignored this. And would not say anything to Kory over the matter for now.
Dick opened the door only to find Kory standing on the other side with her hands behind her back. Acting as though she had done nothing. Dick’s bare hands let go of the door knob, but his phone remain within hand.
”Have you seen my gloves,” he questioned her. He was sure he had left them in the living room, but was not going to just push pass Kory. She was only having some fun.

He smiled at Kory when he saw his gloves upon her hands. And was a bit surprised as she moved in closer to him and then it seemed he hadn’t zipper the suit fully. By the way she moved it, was probably less than a half inch. But enough to be notice. Or at least enough that it would draw her attention to fixing. Though she just wanted to be close to him
”Do you ever miss anything,” Dick said. A slight smile upon his face as he watched her. She was so close again. But he resisted any action toward her being so close. He couldn’t he had to fix the mess he had created.
”It’s kevlar weaved within the material for a stronger hold against more wear and tear,” Dick replied. ”Though mine is design more light weight compared to the Bat suit.”
His eyes followed her as she start to pull one of the gloves off. ”I think they are a bit too big for you. And that you are just stalling me,” Dick replied. A smirk on his face in return to her little games.
”Beside the blue finger stripes are a trademark only worn by me,” he joked.
