The night was thick and dark. It was Gotham. Not only that Starfire had found herself in the more darker parts. Where there was even more shadows below her view from above in the winter sky. It did cause the chill to her rather bare skin, but not nearing any frost bite so she was more than dealing. Kory was still finding her groove back on earth. With no Titans to return to, this seemed for now her only ray of what was before she left. Even if the man she loved was with another. Kory remained in her terms the right amount of distance. Though she oddly found that difficult, but found the time to least be friendly. In all of that, it was actually rather welcoming. Just to have some sense of belonging even if for now it wasn't the kind she imagined, the last thing she needed was to push anything. Among she also found time to catch up with other fellow titans and friends. Finding they were quite busy and moving on from when she last saw them. Still that odd sense of family was still felt.
For now she was patrolling in Gotham. The city of the Bat. Despite it's general gloomy appearance. The city sure had it's charm. Starfire couldn't deny she was also seeking a sight of Nightwing. To have that chance to finally see his suit. Though mostly really to see him. She felt they had caught up, but there was still plenty left unsaid. That and she missed him. He seemed to be healed as much as he could from his wounds, but Starfire couldn't exactly take his word for it. Mostly covered in her purple attire and her trailing of fire behind her in the sky. She heard the sounds somewhere below hidden from light mostly, but she found her way. Saw the glimpse of movements that resembled someone she knew. It was safe to say it wasn't Batman. He just doesn't move like that. As Starfire flew closer, finding her way. Felt the heat in her starbolts and the excitement to full back in this rhythm, while she admired the glimpses of Nightwing she could. Before really taking in the fight. There was a couple of men. Not taking the time to know why. As she motioned into the scene to stop a baddie from escaping as she struck him with one of her starbolts. Just enough to take him out. Felt herself still floating with the smouldering anger in her fingertips and the glow of her eyes.
"Not that you need it, but I just couldn't help myself... Now now. Really? One should know you can't escape a titan."
As she etched to glimpse his new look, finding it a little hard in the dark. As her voice picked up in his direction. When was the last time they teamed up. Even now it seemed really only natural and she still felt that rush only when he was near. Never was there a better leader, nay a better partner. She smiled through her fiery features at the thought. Before not letting the other man believe she was entirely distracted. As she expressed that in her words as her hand grabbed him in the strength of her hand, tossed him in Nightwing's direction. After all there was technically two titans. Once a titan, all ways a titan. Felt then her hands and eyes glow even brighter. Not glimpsing up as the sky began to slowly fall with water. Cooling her fiery hair drop by drop. Before trying to place herself within the fight alongside Nightwing, without stealing his moment of course. As she half just wanted to admire him moves, but there really was something working alongside him that was an entirely different feeling.

Nightwing had gone out to take down a trade between two gangs. And he had managed to start with the second in command thugs of the operation. It hadn't taken him long to find the information he had needed to get the details. It was just a matter of knowing locations the FBI hadn't hit in a while. The logic of the thugs was simple.
Though at this time he found himself up against some pretty sizable thugs and a couple of muscle headed goons. It was over cast and looked like it was going to rain any moment. But he wasn't going to let a little bad weather keep him indoors.
After dropping in uninvited, Nightwing had been met with a round of gun fire. Followed by a few crowbars being swung his way. Though he easily managed to disarm the men within seconds. Hitting the harder target first to get them out of the way between the hired hands that gangs saw as replaceable.
They had hardly managed to lay a hand on him as he charged right in. Knocking many to their feet. But the goons really thought they were a match up against Nightwing. This was a pretty easy fight considering the rogues he had faced off against.
As the fight continued a while longer, Nightwing did not fail to see the streak of fire glowing across the sky. There was only one person that could be. Kory's presents did not go unnoticed, but he was a bit busy at the moment to greet her.
Though when she had made her presents known to everyone in the back alley, Nightwing did turn a head to acknowledge Starfire stepping into his fight. "Fine by me. Their all fair game," he replied with a slight smile showing at the corner of his lips. But his features still showed that he was dead serious on taking these guys down.
As soon as she had made herself known, Nightwing quickly turned to return a punch to the thug standing closest to him. Knocking the guy back into the brick wall. He turned in perfect timing to have a second to catch the guy sailing at him on a swinging turn. Carrying on with the attack and sending the guy hitting hard against the moving truck they had been using to transport their supplies.
As the guy fell forward, rebounding from the impact, Nightwing shifted and grabbed the guys arm. He Turned his back to the guy and used the man's own weight against him. Slinging him over his back and continuing to toss the guy across the alley way.
The rain began to fall light at first. But it did not take long for it to start pouring. Nightwing got the chance to actually take a good glance at Starfire for a moment. He hadn't realized how much he really did miss having her around. The memories of the Titans would always be with him. Even though he had moved on. Though had he moved on from Kory?
Since she had been back in town. He had been question the thoughts going on in his head. He had moved on. Well, at least he thought he had. Though there still seemed to be something there for her. Even with them being best friends.
Her literally fiery features stood out against the night. She still hadn't seemed like she changed one bit. Still the same costume. Still the same Starfire. Not like he was complaining. He pulled his mind away from his thoughts as he returned to fighting full force as someone came at him with a crowbar.
Nightwing swiftly jumped up and flipped onto the hood of the large truck front of the transport. The thug swinging and hitting a headlight out on it. "Looks like you need to work on your aim a bit there," he said.
He jumped of the hood of the truck and landed behind the thug. When the thug went to turn around and swing at him. Nightwing ducked the flying crowbar, and returned with two swift punches to the guys face and then did a drop spin kick to knock the feet out from underneath the man.
Nightwing turned to see a man coming up behind Kory. But Nightwing had someone coming up along side of him again. "Starfire behind you," he called out to alarm her of the thug trying to come up from behind.

There came the familiar voice shot through the dark. As she had shot the man across the floor. Felt that slight buzz. It felt through her veins and felt just a tiny flutter. Ok there were tons to flutter about, but right now her energy was directed to help Nightwing out. Once Robin. Once leader, which she felt the corners of her cheeks to hear that voice crisp and directed towards her. She has fought outer space dudes and things not meant for earth, but this was feeling oddly a bit like home. It was nice and helped distract her from the lose of Tamaran and all who perished. Tonight she was able to save someone.
After knocking another man out with her nearly iron fist, which was probably like a brick wall to his nose. Possible breaking sound as he fell to the ground. Brought up her arms to block another un-welcomed baddie from her side. Seeing that change in his eyes when he realised he wasn't going to win and she stronger than she looked. Bringing her kick to his torso and half sent him sailing across the floor. As she felt the fiery anger in her breath as her hair trailed in suit. Felt the slight admiration catching here and there of Nightwing. He really wasn't Robin anymore. Yet he really was still the same man. She couldn't help to smile softly to herself as the rains fell more like a blessing to try and cool her burning muscles. He was maybe more himself than she could have remembered. He was Dick Grayson. Felt the rise of her chest, the escape of her breath, as she stole a sneak peak at him.
A dude tried to sneak past her, but she wasn't that dazed out of her mind. Grabbing him by the collar and twisted him a little like a pretzel. Flew across the alley to a coupe dudes upon the ground and threw the man hard alongside them. Finding a broken down pipe with the decent strength she had made it useful when there was no rope, plus was harder for them to break free until they were thrown behind bars. As the water began to deepen and the drops rolled down her chin. Her long hair clung to her body, but felt still very much alive. Then again his voice came through. It felt somewhat of a flashback. When He was a little wee Robin barely able to fly, but far out smarting the alien princess with the iron fist. Somewhere in memories like these he would always be Robin. Well, always be a Flying Grayson. Remembering gently how they worked through the fight the occasional bumping into each other. Not really by accident. It well helped the chemistry oddly enough.
Before she was really able to turn and blast the dude back in time. His hand coiled around in her hair, only it didn't quite burn. His pulling was weak and fabled, but it caused the slight movement of her feet. His? No. No. No. She felt spark through her flesh. She was not his. Nor anybodies. As she felt the awful breath upon her neck and the laughter that is not very forgiving. 'Your mine' He spoke roughly in her ear as his eyes motioned to Nightwing. As if she was bate. Starfire used as bate. She felt the slight motionless thought in his words. Her eyes wandered shortly off track to voices that had once said that. Trying to claim her. Felt the etching in her blood. The fire. The burning feeling. Pulling again and more laughter. That did it. As she twisted herself that her hand made to his throat. Feeling her eyes glow in the direction of his own. Rose him from his feet along with her own that made shortly to float.
"I am nobodies... I'm especially not yours."
The words were crisp and harsh enough from her voice. Her hair half dried itself to be all fiery. His eyes were wide and scared. Kory would never allow to be trapped again even by this fool. Before letting her tight grasp so he fell from the decent height enough to hurt, but not to kill him. Before she fell towards him with her fist through his torso. Before crashing it across his jaw. As her hand then fell to her side. Felt the anger. The feeling for her breath. Letting those memories pass. Heard the faint commotion of things being hit nearby. The corner of her eye saw another dart in and around the scene. Between catching the glimpse of blue. Pushed herself up from the ground. Now wasn't the time to sit on the sideline. Causing motion back through the air a little darting in and around the moves of Nightwing. Suddenly feeling the fight upon them even closer. As she took another dude. Even though not looking at him least not directly she felt him. In this new suit also set out entirely new emotions not to mention. Perhaps he could be to blame for her slight weak at the knees feeling. Then felt as motioned to brush him. Sliding past him. Felt her fist finally smash into something enough it fell in own blow. Although caused the unsteady of her feet as the rain caused it seem even darker and slippery. Starfire slipped a little in Nightwing's direction. As she motioned to try and catch herself with her hand upon him. Even if with a near touch caused a few things to tingle. Even the rain couldn't exactly cool it. As her eyes looked up at him with a slight glow to her cheeks.
"My. Bad."
She uttered softly as tried to regain her footings. Almost felt herself stop even if she could hint of a couple more coming towards them, but there was nothing that could stop them.

Dick had to turn around and was in time to catch a guy coming at him with a fist. He easily blocked both shots using his lower are to help. And then after the swift one two block, he in turn returned a striking blow. A low left hock and then another hit landing square on the man’s jaw and power to send him backwards.
He had known the man had gotten close to Kory. But he had gotten distracted by another brute at the time. And all he had gotten to hear that caught his attention with alarm was Kory’s voice ringing out loud and clear.
Nightwing spun around on his heels to turn in Starfire’s direction to see what she was doing. He knew Starfire’s anger. And that voice had much to it. More than just the average fight and how she spoke to crooks. There was something else. Almost a tone that took this threat more seriously than needed at the time.
He was in time to notice her lifting the man off the ground by his throat. ”Starfire,” Nightwing shouted out. Almost in some what of a reminding plea. But he had not seen what had fully happened to her. He could not understand her thoughts at that time.
Before he got the chance to see what was going on, someone came up behind him again. The same man he had knocked down only a moment ago. The crook had grabbed a old plank and whacked Nightwing in the back with it. The brittle old board breaking in two after meeting with Nightwing’s back. And Nightwing falling forward after the hit.
It wasn’t all that affective, but it had caught him off guard at the moment. Nightwing could hear the man laughing over what he had done. Nightwing didn’t give the man a moment though. As soon as he had stopped his fall, he turned right back into action and struck out with a swing kick to knock the man off his feet and to the ground.
Which this he used the momentum to bring himself back onto his feet. No longer facing Kory. He could hear her approach as he still focused on the man not struggling on the ground to get up after he had return the fair turn of each of them meeting the ground.
It was then at he felt someone brush into him. And then he felt someone take a grab hold of his lower right leg after the hand had ran down part of his body. Nightwing turned to see Starfire fall to the ground before he got the chance to catch her. On instinct, he reached out a hand and with the other grabbed a hold of her hand that remained on his lower leg.
”No problem,” he replied. Smiling down at her as he looked down toward her. His shaggy black hair now clinging to his face from the rain pouring down. The rain was running off his suit as it continued to pound down on them.
He was lost for a moment, remembering old times. The way she looked and her being embarrassed over her little misstep. It was all kind of cute in a way.
”Let’s finish these goons off,” Nightwing said as he helped her up. And just as he was about to turn the man on the ground comes charging at him with a knife in hand. Nightwing pushes Starfire to the side a bit gentle and blocks the man’s first hit while receiving a small gash over his upper left arm in defense of the attack.
Nightwing quickly returned two punches and a knee to the chest to the man. And then gives a swift punch to knock him out. The man fell backwards into a old pile of crates. Nightwing stood with a gash in his left sleeve of the suit and a bit of blood running down his arm now. The rain making look worse than what it really was as it tries to wash off the blood,

Even though the entire night seemed more or less in darkness. There was a rush that seemed to sweep inside Starfire the entire time. She had barely been back. Really back, but this. This was getting back into the swing of things in a way she had not imagined, but one thing Starfire didn't usually do was plan anything. The night came with the crushes of punches and kicks. Slamming bodies into the ground and things alike. No deaths. Just a bit of justice. To help save those who could not fight and needed heroes alike. Being alongside Nightwing reminded her that though many things have changed somethings never do or simply get better. There was even a little reason to smile as she felt this familiar warm place working with her former teammate in zinc. Even when knocking out different men, there was that feeling of support. Fighting and saving the world together.
As the clouds above grew blacker it cause more rain to fall. It could change things, get a little tougher, but it oddly pushed one harder into a fight. Least it seemed so for these two. For Starfire for sure. Nothing would stop her. Never break her bravery. As her fist then slammed into a man half helped there by Nightwing. even as her own hair was getting in her face, her eyes, it did not distract her. The same could be said of the unsteady of her feet. A little bump in the road, but it wouldn't be the end. As her knees found the ground. Finding her hand upon Nightwing's leg. Even mistakes happen or your simply trip and fall. Feeling as the water ran in a mess around her body. She couldn't take long. She couldn't give up. Starfire never gives up. As Nightwing offered his hand and took her other hand as well. Looked down upon her and smiled. Starfire knew in that that faith he had in her. Whether accidental or otherwise he wouldn't let her fall. Just as she would never let him fall.
This was seeming a little slow in motion as she felt her hands within his. Her eyes green and piercing looking up into his dark yet warm eyes even if she couldn't directly see them, she saw them enough to remember. As Starfire also had the rain running down her body half covered by her suit leaving her bare orange skin to get soaked, her face as her lips half rolled together only to be replaced with more rain soon after. His words were half echoes, but she could tell he spoke honestly as with the faint glow admired how beautiful he always was. Before smiling and with his help was soon upon her own feet.
"Let's go get them, Nightwing!"
Starfire agreed as she regained her strong stance as her eyes upon him glowed as soon did her free hand as she pulled it into a fist with the purple glow of her starbolt. Feeling the deep rise within her chest as she then spoke his name and smiled a little more deeply. They weren't apart of a team anymore, but there was still the fresh feel of a unity, somehow belonging and it felt right. Before Starfire reacts to the man charging at them like an enraged bull. Nightwing's hand meets Starfire to push her. It all happened so fast as before she knew it Nightwing had blocked the man with the shiny knife. A little breath escaped as thought Nightwing pushed her out of danger she needed to be a part of it, but before she could utter a lending hand. She ducked in time as tall dark name unhandsomely than Nightwing came on her with an attack. As she rose she blocked his fist with one arm and caused a deep bruised in his torso with her other hand. He stumbled back she motioned her body in a turn as she drove a fist up into his bottom jaw. Half watching his eyes roll before rising her leg up with one mighty kick with her purple boot covered leg, it drove through his torso sending the man across the ground. As Nightwing's man fell in the corner of her eye. Her eyes scanned only to see in the dark bodies of the men upon the ground. Was it over? Her eyes then stopped glowing as she dropped her fist, whilst still standing strong.
"Was that it?"
Starfire asked Nightwing and partially herself if they had got them all. While her eyes looked around the dark alleys, and area. As she stood in her purple attire, with rain falling upon her skin. It was rather refreshing. Though she didn't take long as she motioned to turn. See Nightwing. To think she had thought to simply watch him before she decided to help. Smiling she saw enough, then rebutting when was anything enough when regarding him. A slight laughter of that notion almost escaped her lips before motioning them to speak as she looked upon him.
"Not half bad... I think we make a good team... "
Kory expressed to her former teammate happily. It felt good. It felt more than good. As she jokingly said as if surprisingly they matched well on the battle field. Although there was no denying whilst it was familiar it was also quite new. He was older. She was older. Things had certainly changed, she only hoped for better than for worse. As she was expressing joy in the believe they had succeeded. Still knowing she could of taken the man with the knife she was still finding something how with Dick trying to protect her as something sweet. This was the time to soak him in. In all his glory. Nightwing. Where glimpse before sent little ray of excitement. He was handsome. As she caught his features mixed with the moisture and the right touch of light. The little detail of how his hair fell randomly about his eyes. His lips. His skin. The mask. She dare test to look upon the suit, though stopped to see his eyes possibly upon her. Caused her the need to retreat from to much emotion, which she very much liked. There she saw the faint drops that didn't belong with the rain. A colour all familiar. As she felt the twitch of concern. As Kory motionless as the rain half drowned her while her eyes then saw the wound upon Dick's arm. Mix of water and blood. He had blocked her and got himself hurt in the process. Not surprising it something Dick would do, Kory could never like seeing Dick hurt. No matter how bad.
"Di-Nightwing, Your Hurt!"
Kory escaped the concern from her wet lips. As her eyes traced the blood before they traced his own eyes. Before closing the distance that separated them. As the rain continued to press upon her mostly bare skin and with the faint light caused her orange skin to glisten within her purple straps. Kory motions her caring hand for his arm so best to see it. To feel it. Even when closing the space she was feeling a ton more and the secret hope for now he was feeling somewhat the same. As her fingers caught his blood with their tips, it was an uneasy feeling. As it was even harder to see, soon as she rubbed her fingers the rain began to wash the traces off.

”Yes, I’m sure of it,” Night spoke as he glance around.
His attention no where close the the slight gash in his arm. There had merely had a burning feeling at the first glance of the blade cutting through the thick suit and grazing the skin underneath. He was not overly concerned by it. He was more interested in getting the job done.
In which, they had succeeded in doing so. They had brought down all suspects within the small ring being ran that night. But Nightwing knew there were more out there. He’d track them down. He knew who some of them were and where some of them are. Though that would be for another time. One step at a time. Not all crime could be brought down in one night. It was best to keep the element of surprise in an attack.
He barely glanced around the scene to know what had been going on. He already knew what he had gotten himself into with taking on these crooks. Now to leave them for the cops.
”Not bad at all,” he returned in almost a compliment. This was a as he started to round up the men and drag them into a group. And in doing so, Nightwing processed to tying them up. They would be there for the cops to pick up.
He looked back over at Starfire. A slight smile upon his face over their work. Like old times. Kory along his side and them fighting together. Those were times he sometimes missed and often returned to within his mind.
Though he did how ever catch the slight twitch in her eye movement before she spoke her concern over anything. He could follow her eye moment and knew what she must be ready to get at.
Nightwing stood and let her speak her concern over it and did not back away as she drew closer. He was not concerned over it. A minor cut compared to the many wounds he had suffered within his life. Some of which she knew the stories of and some she had been there for. As well as others she had not been told of. Though there were very few of the older scars she did not know the stories behind. The new ones were another story since the time she had been gone.
As she reach out her hand to him as she was standing so close to him, his eyes never retreated from watching hers. He remained silent for a moment, watching her reaction. The way she cared for him after so many of times they had been through things like this. This was a very minor injury compared to what they had been through and seen together.
His mind wandering back to her. How they had been together. What they had been through. He was somewhat lost within time of how things once were. The feel of her slightest touch against his arm almost enough to send a shiver through his body of remembering their many times together.
As she remover her hand from his arm and let the rain fall upon it, he reach out and grabbed her hand with his left. He held her by the wrist for a moment in silence. Though it was not a tight grip. It was more of just getting her attention off the injury and onto him.
”Don’t worry about it. It is merely a glancing wound. Nothing serious. And certainly nothing a little first aid kit couldn’t handle,” Dick replied to her more of himself rather than the seriousness of Nightwing. This was him. And it always had been. Even through Robin he was himself.
He stopped himself for a second. And glance at his hand on her wrist, holding her hand up still. His eyes then glancing at hers. Almost a somewhat shock expression reminding himself of something as he withdrew his hold on her wrist. It was more surprise at his own action than shock of things. Nightwing’s eyes quickly dashed away from hers for a second.
He brought his own hand up to feel the cut in the suit and his hand upon his own blood as the rain washed around the hand that was now placed over the cut. Dick looked up at her and then smiled at her. ”You know you worry too much,” he said in a teasing way. He returned to that comfortable, relaxed self once again gaining control of the situation and over his own emotions.

The confirming words of Nightwing were proven true as Starfire looked between bodies. Half the fight already started by the time she got here, but over all a nice group effort. As now the rain did cool her fiery orange skin and red hair. Looking around Starfire couldn't say she knew the reasoning. Why they did what ever it was they did, but she trusted Nightwing. Anyone attacking him she couldn't think as someone friendly. His then compliment sparked up a smile to her drowning lips. It was expressed with a nice warmth. If there was one thing she loved more than him, was his caring nature. She knew how strong he could be and how kind he was. Her body turned watched as he moved across the area moving bodies.
"Allow me."
Starfire spoke out to him as she took off her feet. With her hands picked up the remaining men. To help with the tying up. She could only guess he wasn't 100%. Also if she could help, she always would. Just catching his smile. It lit up the darkness around them. Catching his eyes gently upon her, it was a nice feeling and it sure brought back fond memories. There were new ones already beginning. As Kory moved over to where he stood. As spill of blood drew her closer. He stood as she did. She felt him reading her mind. Examining his wound with her fingers around it, his muscle. She was careful. As she knew it stung as she cringed a little for him. Knowing his eyes were still upon her.
Kory's green eyes traced over his suit, yet seemingly didn't see it. She knew the scars he had. Even the internal ones. What ever had happened to him, there was a change in him from it, but little by little, he was more alive each day. Within her touch she felt his warmth. The rush of something underneath. Lightly tracing the blood. It caused an unease again inside her. Removing her hand. Wasn't as easy as soon as her touch was gone from his arm, she felt a hold on her wrist. Kory then looked to Nightwing. To his hand around her wrist. She had the strength to pull free or even chuck him across the room if needed. Yet she couldn't move it. More she didn't want to. Dick's voice came in through the rain and darkness. A warm light to her ears. Kory then looked to his dark eyes. The same ones when Robin first saw her. He took a moment. A chance with her, when others would not and was when she found her greatest ally.
"My eyes say it needs to be treated, and I just happen to have a first aid kit at my place... Your more than welcome to sleep over... It doesn't look like the weather will ease up and I don't want to find you trapped in a puddle. "
Kory responded to his words about a 'glancing' wound. She couldn't see it to great detail with the fabric and moisture from the rain, but the blood made it seem bad. Offering to treat it at her room that wasn't to far away. As the rain was picking up and the beginning of thunder. It wasn't seeming to be easing, but the rain did feel good on her skin. Her eyes caught between his own and the wet locks around them. Liking how his own skin looked in the rain. Kory's heart stopped when he looked deep in her eyes. Seeming with his hand around her wrist, Almost felt herself step closer. Curious at his then sudden expression. What did he see? She knew he saw or felt something. Felt for a second a change in how he held her wrist. Was he trying to pull her in? He then let go of her wrist. Already missing his touch. Kory then watched him. Just watched him, as his eyes looked away avoiding something. Kory's hand motioned to his cheek, to gently caress with and as she smiled, encouraging him not to runaway nor hide from what ever he was feeling. Kory's hand motioned towards his chest. To find that warm spot. To feel his wet suit. Kory admired his new attire once more.
Kory watched as his hand felt the cut on his arm. The blood and water between his fingers. Kory's other hand motioned to his. To rest upon both wound and his hand. There was a little spark, but really it was seeming quite comfortable. It felt right. As she motioned her fingers to lightly caress his own. Felt her cheeks blush as he smiled so warmly at her. She felt it in her bones. Her smile was a seemingly beautiful grin almost ear to ear. Then made into a slight smirk as he teased her with his words. Felt her heart swarm a little as she never could imagine not caring about him. Her eyes danced friendly in his rolling his words around in her head.
"Someone has to. Don't think I don't know how much you carry."
Kory expressed as her eyes kindly looked in his. Knowing how much Dick Worried about everyone else, but himself. She could almost feel the weight of his shoulders as her hand motioned to press against his chest. Almost feeling the thudding within. It was a beautiful thing. As her other hand motioned to trace his own, in between to lightly trace his wound. It was more than nice to be this close to him. Where she worried he did carry so much, she admired him for it. Kory was liking this moment. This new memory. Something she wasn't wanting to step away from even if they were both drowned. Her eyes then looked away and up. Let out a joyous laugh with eyes closed. either because of him or the rain. Maybe both. As her fingers continued to lightly trace. Felt the rain land upon her face and skin. Smiling before looking back at him. It felt nice his chest underneath her hand.
"I will always care about you Dick. Walking away from you was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do... Did I forget to mention? I like the new suit. Nightwing's a good look for you, Mr Grayson."
Kory spoke honestly to Dick as her eyes took to his. She had missed his touch more than she had realised. She had missed simply being close to him. Opening up to him that leaving him was very difficult. She couldn't regret it entirely, she had to do with even if she hadn't wanted to, but defiantly wasn't easy. Kory wouldn't put her hand up to do it again. She wouldn't wish to see his heart broken or see him sad. It not only crushed him, it had crushed her. Now. This. Kory was very much enjoying being in this moment. Her face then softened as she mentioned she liked his suit. Her hand moving a little over his chest as she expressed her words. Calling him Mr Grayson with a smile. Yeah, that was not a name she called him very often. She teasingly smiled. With that the rain was coming down a lot faster now. Causing her own suit to cling even more to her and along with her hair. Her green eyes looked to him. Expressing the now drowned feeling. Wished for his hand. She didn't want to leave him in the streets of Gotham. Felt her hand motion to cheek. Toyed with a smile at his wet hair. Pressing herself closer as she rather uncontrollably motioned her fingers to trace his lips.
"Dick?"
Kory whispered his name, it was barely uttered from her lips. Smiling, though with the hesitation what could she do. Her hand came to her own chest, for a moment her eyes dropped from his eyes. Soon came back. As she then spoke again before expressing to the sky with her eyes.
"I think we might wanna find some cover."

Dick was silent for a moment after her comment as she laid a hand on his cheek. Her touch against his skin, even in the rain, brought him warmth. He remember many past time like this with the two of them together. And at her words, thoughts came to his mind. As the hesitant warnings were pushed from his mind.
Now he could quite remember why he had been so hesitant at letting go of her arm. As her hand slipped down to his chest, a shiver ran through him at this. She was so close to him. He had her there before him. Something still held him back.
As he felt her hand on his hand over his wound, he could feel her gentle touch trying to drag his hand away from his injury. He then let go and let her hand guide his as she managed to some what hold his hand as he protected the injury.
Her words were so caring. As they always were. As she had always been. He had seen that in her after watching her for the first time. He had been the one to stop everyone else and give her a chance. He knew there was more to her. And she had brought out more in him. There was still a surge of energy that shot through him at the sight of her. It had lessened over time with the thought of her it seemed. But having her there with him and her hands upon his, brought back that energy it seemed.
”Really it is nothing. But it won’t hurt to wrap it at the least,” He replied to her words. He glance up toward the skies over head. The rain not letting up and it seemed as though they were standing underneath a water fall. ”Doesn’t look like it is.”
He looked back at her with her words of how much he carried. He knew what she meant by that. It seemed everyone at one point might learn that over time. But he kept it hidden. Just like Bruce. Never one to speak the words.
At her hand glancing over his wound, there was a slight sting to the feel of something poking at the tender spot. He didn’t know it though. It really was nothing to him. He had had worse. And this was a light injury. Nothing serious. He was surprised the knife had made it through the layers in the suit. The man had taken a hard stab at him it seemed.
That all too familiar feeling was returning to him as he was standing there with her. Her laugh. Her eyes. Her skin. Kory was there with him. He had almost forgotten that feeling. He wasn’t sure how. His mind completely clouded by the only thought of Kory being there with him. He watched her as she looked up at the sky.
He still resisted from laying a hand on her. There was still something holding him back. He wasn’t quite sure at the moment. He was lost within time with her. He only wanted to be with her. But there was something tugging at him, trying to remind him of something. Thought he was lost within a past feeling he had missed so much, the longing for Kory to return. A feeling that had been lost.
”Thank you. And I have to say your suit has always been a good look for you,” he said finally giving into something he seemed to be fighting since she had returned. A smirk played on his face as he watched her. He dropped his hand from covering his wound.
His eye wondered over her as she stood before him. They were so close. And they had been so far away for such a long time. He couldn’t even remember how long it had been. But the feeling of her being with him was returning to Dick’s mind. As she got closer, and started to run her fingers over some of his hair that was clinging to his face, he got a shiver down his spine as her hand then started to trace his lips. Dick placed hand on her side. Almost wanting to pull her closer to him. And at her comment of finding cover, Dick was brought back from his trance. But the feeling still lingered and longed for time with her. ”You’re probably right. How far is your place from here,” he finally mentioned going back to her place.
”I’ll have to drive my bike over. I rather not leave it out in this rain and in a far off alley way,” Dick said as he moved his hand and brought it to his other wrist and hit a button on his gauntlet. This was to trace the bike back to him.

It was a little bit like everything else was getting slowly washed away. Even sirens and sounds of cars, faded almost in non-existence. If anything they gave a soothing background sound. To the faint sound Kory thought she could hear from his chest. She could feel his emotions. There in that look in his eyes and the faint way he touched her. She knew there was hope. That he still loved her. Why weren't they together? This is what confused her. With emotions this strong it was against her nature to simply not act upon them. Then she couldn't say how much he loved her. There was a new woman in his life. A human. Who was Kory to stand between the happiness? Even if all the greatest joy she had was just under her touch.
Even as her hand was upon his. She couldn't help to wonder he had really missed this. Even if they couldn't be lovers, Kory still wanted to spend as much time as she could with him and with it all she still had hope. After her capture and her escape on earth. He was the first true happiness she had experience since she was a child. Only Dick knew that sometimes at night, her past memories of her slavery came back to haunt her. Catching her tears. These memories she did best as she could to forget. They were just too painful and she wished to move on with life. Kory smiled sweetly as he agreed it needed to be wrapped up. Noticing as his eyes made to the rain pouring down upon them. He was so handsome in the rain. Then smiled as if they were teenagers again. She half wished to pull him closer make him dance in the rain as she did only a handful times, as it wasn't so easy to get him to dance. Even though she knew he secretly enjoyed it. Usually have no choice when she was naked half the time. Kory so badly wanted to kiss him. Something told her once she did, one of them wouldn't be able to stop. Kory smiled again at his comment on her suit. As her fingers gently caressed around his wound. As her eyes looked up innocently. Wondering what mischievous thought was brewing in his head?
"Thank-you. It must be the purple. As for Nightwing, it is the man that fills it."
Kory responded kindly and innocently. Responding about her suit. It was the colour of royalty, almost made for her, way back on Tamaran. Kory ran her hand up his chest motioning it under his chin as she spoke of the man behind the suit. Her eyes had traced the contours of his muscles, shaped by the suit and moved back to his eyes. His lips. They were so close. Rolling her own lips slightly. Letting out a silent sigh as he finally moved to touch her. Giving her a little hope. Still she didn't take it. She knew his morals would regret it after and she didn't wish him to regret it. Kory still gave him a smile as he came back to the world with her. Being reminded of the rain as it ran down their faces. Kory softly laughing again, it was a cute look for him. Then a huge smile came to her lips. She was joyful he had agreed to come.
"It's not far, Dick... Wow. Ok, take us home, please."
Kory said reassuring him it was really a couple short blocks from here. Then with the button and soon, found his bike shining in the rain. When was the last time he took her for a ride? As Kory beamed, already found a place on the bike before he could ask. Her orange hand patted the seating before her, for him to take. Sure flying was fun, in ways better, but this was another kind of flying. As Kory motioned her arms in place. Still the rain pumping down. Soon the bike took of in a decent amount of haste. With the cops just around the corner. Which was a relief. The wind, the rain clouded up space around them. Kory simply enjoyed this closeness. Luckily she wasn't in position to crush the bike. It carried them both rather safely over the slippery road. Kory motioned a simple caress to his arm. As the drive would distract him. She planted a light kiss, to help it feel better on the way there. Laughing softly to herself, placing her chin upon his shoulder. Her red hair in a wet contrail in the wind and rain behind them.
"It's just here, Dick. I believe they have a car basement thing below."
Kory reached out her hand, pointing to the hotel sign. There was a place for cars, but having no need Kory couldn't know too well. This was nice. She almost didn't wish the ride would end. She loved the heat. The sun. Though there was something about the rain and wind, that just made it Earth. It was home. It was beautiful. Mostly because of Dick as she held a little tighter at the thought, but not to tight to hurt him. Kory would tell him she loved him. She needed him. All in time, but for now she needed her best friend. Even so. Kory knew she didn't so need to tell him. Somewhere, she could feel he already knew. He would always be the only man she'd ever love. It was a decent tall looking building. Nothing overly fancy, just enough. When the bike would eventually stop and find a suitable spot. She slowly unhooked herself from him. Swinging her leg around to help her feet to the ground. Almost feeling her head spin nicely. Feeling her mouth hardly ceasing from a smile. It was seeming a big biker than his last one. He was seeming all grown up now.
"I had forgotten how good that was, it is a beautiful machine... Now it's not a penthouse... I was sort of in a rush to get here I guess, but I am looking... Come and I'll fly us up, so we don't get spotted."
Kory expressed kindly to Dick. A little sarcasm as Dick had made a point of telling her about his penthouse. Which knowing he wasn't overly fancy was kind of cute of him to say. Though she knew there could be a question in his head, why she was staying here of all places. Kory didn't really plan this. Only to find him, he was mostly the reason she had come home. Kory also had thought they would have left for New York, but she learnt quite a lot had changed. Which was perfectly fine. She was just needed to find a proper place. Figure out what she would do with her apartment in New York. As she motioned her hand out to his so he'd take it. Unless he wished to strip here and take the elevator.

Dick smiled at Kory as she had a huge grin on her face as the motorcycle had pulled up. And she was the first one on it. He remembered a few times riding with her on a motorcycle. Years ago. They hadn’t done anything like this in ages.
”Alright. It will just make the ride faster to get out of this rain,” Dick replied to her. It had been forever since he had done anything like this with her. And this was the first time as Nightwing that he would be with Starfire.
Nightwing walked quickly over to Kory and his motorcycle and climbed on. He sat on the seat a head of her. He couldn’t help but a smirk coming to his face over Kory’s reaction to getting a ride on the motorcycle again. He knew she loved to fly, but there was nothing like racing down the streets on a motorcycle. And even the alien had proven that with how many times she would rather go out for a ride on the bike with him.
Dick revved the bike up. The motor roaring loudly over the sound the the pouring rain. The headlights reflecting off around them as it seemed a light fog was setting in with the cool rain meeting the the warm surface of the ground. He could easily see.
He didn’t bother to grab the helmet since it was going to be a short ride. And he was rather enjoying feeling Kory’s hands upon his arms. The bike raced down the street at a quick speed, but safe enough that he could remain in control of it with the well gripped tires designed for the bike. He focused on the road ahead, but couldn’t help to notice the feel of a chin resting on his shoulder.
Kory was right, it hadn’t taken long at all. He didn’t reply to her as he headed toward the parking garaged she had said about then. Dick knew this place. He’d been in this area before and knew exactly where she meant. He pulled the bike over to the entrance of the ramp down into the subdivision for parking and applied the breaks lightly as they went down the slope.
As soon as they were in Dick took car to part far and out of view. He didn’t need someone to find his bike or him for that matter. He parked the motorcycle and shut off the engine. The bike finally coming to silence as it sat and he put the kick stand up.
He waited for Kory to dismount off the bike first and then he followed. As she spoke, Dick opened up a small compartment on the bike and pulled out a tarp. He hated to cover it up when the bike was still wet, but he needed to hide it to make it seem like it was just an average bike. He take the time later to do a proper cleaning on the bike when he got home and had more time.
”Thanks. And no problems, it does not matter if it isn’t a penthouse. I used to live in tents when I was little,” he replied to her with a smile. Reminding her of his past.
He looked over at her and thought about it for only a moment. But realized why she had made the offer. They were still in vigilante form. And someone in the hotel might not like the idea of having these two around. That and a ton of other reasons that go with being a hero/vigilante.
”Alright,” Dick said as he took a hold of her hand in his.

The words from her knight upon his dark bike, his voice. Smiling softly to them as Kory tucked her chin upon his shoulder. Feeling the rain hit her nicely upon her face. She wasn't complaining a great deal at the rain. She was failing to know whether it was the rain or Nightwing. A long ride wouldn't be such a bad thing, but they were slowly melting. His wound needed to be taken care of and she had something to give him. Mostly she wanted his company. She had come back for him and thought about him more than she should have on Tamaran. She wasn't one to live in the past, but yet found it hard to live presently within her new marriage. Forgetting Dick Grayson just wasn't so easy. Hmmm, yes flying. Her green eyes scoured the dark buildings, the starry sky. Maybe someday soon he would fly with her again. Yet the speed and closeness was nice upon this humming machine.
Kory half smiled and giggled softly as he revved the bike up a little more. Causing that thrilled emotion. Acting as if it scared her a little that caused a slightly more grip around his midsection. Until the bike skidded finely around a corner and set towards the garage under the hotel. As her chin rested. Her nose drew within his moisten scent upon his skin. Her breath was close and eased upon his skin. Feeling the slight thud as her desire to kiss him increased. Though as the bike came over the small road bump. It also stopped. In a fair distance so not to be easily spotted. Kory came to her feet. Her body dripped water, but for now no more rain. As she turned. As for a moment she admired and watched Nightwing get off the bike and cover it even more. She couldn't deny he was so. So handsome. Her eyes looked upon his wound, with a little more blood and red. Her eyes then removed to his giving a soft smile, knowing she can patch him up very soon. If not patch up whatever there was, he was hiding from her. Kory grinned a little more as Dick spoke of penthouses. Tents? He lived in tents? When did he...? Then was distracted with a soft joyous laugh as he mentioned when he was little. Even more tiny than when she met him. She liked his tiny version. From the pictures and always imagined him so utterly cute. Kory then as Dick took her hand. She took a deep breath as he did, but she then looped her arm under his.
"Tents? You never told me you went camping! Oh, you must take me one day. We can fish for ice... I always liked little wee Robin. Why don't you tell me more stories? The happy ones."
Kory asked and expressed kindly. As she took more of a hold. Bringing him in closer. Her eyes looked to him as she smiled kindly and spoke lastly as she then flew them out of the garage and back a little outside in the rain. Only this time flying up into the rain. Feeling it run past her face. Her skin and body. Taking a glimpse to smile with Dick now in the air with her. When was the last time they had watched the sunset together or took a moonlight flay around New York or some randomly chosen area. She was glad for this little moment, to remember how much limits there were and weren't. She then landed her purple feet upon her balcony. The rain seeping through a little as it gushed down like a waterfall. Letting go of Dick, as she slipped her hand into her suit. Finding a little wee key, to open the sliding door.
"Home!"
Well, home for now. Kory smiled. Stepping in and finding a switch to light up the room. It was a recent size hotel room. It was like more of an apartment. Having walked through the small living space. There was a kitchen. A bedroom and bathroom. Even a laundry area to wash her minimal clothing options. Flicking on a few more lights. Kory saw that todays paper had been slipped through her door. She had been out most of the day. Kory motioned down to pick it up. Checking the cover as she went to move it to the kitchen table. When something stopped her. Causing her cheeks to light up. Oh, wow. Was her heart beating a little more. Almost a squeal though she's not much the type to squeal. Kory then held the paper out for Dick as she motioned towards him. Along the lines it said Carnival. New York. "Oh, Dick. We must go. We always go. It'll be fun. There should be plenty of cotton to share and its New York. I do have a few things to pick up from my apartment there."
As Kory held out the paper and her heart raced a little as her words were of joy to be had. Smiling. He had to come. Even drive them there. It be nice to go to the carnival as they generally did when they were in New York and she could pull him away from his serious nature for a moment. To remind him of fun. How to smile and laugh again. Kory half pushed the news paper towards him to take. Not to mention New York. There were a lot of ties there. She pondered if any of their friends would be there. If they could call them. Donna? Gar? Wally? or even Roy? Her eyes beamed to his, joyed to see the tower once more. For a time it was home. A little more than this place was, but Dick was within this city. As her hand placed the paper towards his chest. He was the best reminder of what a home was.
"I'll just be a second and get the first aid kit... Please sit."
Kory expressed happily as her eyes looked to his. Her hand pointed to the couches. As the kit was in the bathroom. It was more comfortable to do it out here. So Kory can play nurse on his arm. Barely realising she had taken to decorating the hotel as she generally would. Generally a lot of photos. Of herself, but a lot of friends. Different titans. There were candles in all corners. Just things to make it more homely, though there was more in New York. Even if it was a little over decorated for some, she had a certain taste. It was joyful. Kory smiled and then motioned past him. To the bathroom. As she walked passed. Her hand reach up behind and unclasped her suit from her neck. The purple top half fell, so her skin was more free. She then slipped her suit off as she motioned out of the room. There was that desire still for this man. He caused quite a sensation and her knees to weak, but she was still comfortable in her skin. Especially around him. His emotions towards it, made her smile. She liked his reactions. Finally reaching the cupboard and pulled out the kit. Upon returning. She put her suit away. Wrapped a robe around her nude form. As she walked the slip showed enough of her legs and enough of her chest revealed. She also had clothes that well were still his. Dick Grayson's. From some time before. She laid a couple on her bed so he can change into later to get out of his wet suit. Kory then motioned to return back to the living area and treat his arm. Her heart thudded within him hopefully staying the night. She also now carried the present Cyborg had helped her with. Also help with Alfred. Kory wasn't one to live in the past, but one did have to respect it.

Dick wasn’t all that surprised with the change of grip Kory had done to keep him a bit closer as she was about to fly them up to the floor level she was staying on. Though a lot of old memories came flooding back to him. Remembering the many times before like this.
”I have so. That and sometime the work in the field requires camping out for the missions,” Dick replied. ”Not only that, I have mentioned so before with the circus.”
As they left the ground down below them and were headed back into the rain again. It was quite refreshing to go through this feeling. The lack of gravity. And the rain seemed to pour down harder as they flew up against it. It was much different compared to jumping off the tallest buildings for the thrill or driving a motorcycle at top speeds. There was a sense of peace that seemed to wash over you when you took your time and could go against gravity.
As their feet met a solid surface to stand on once again, Dick stood back as he watched what Kory was up to. He saw her pull out a key and open the door. Now they would finally get the chance to get out of the rain. He was starting to get a bit of a chill after that flight up there.
Dick followed her lead as she walked into the living quarters of the place. It was rather cozy in a way. And he could see Kory had made the place a home for herself already by how things were places and decorated a bit. He gave a slight smile as he watched her walk in and how happy she seemed to be with the way things were turning out.
He crossed his arms over his chest as he walked into the place, It felt much colder walking into the air conditioned rooming of the flat. It had been a rather nice day out up until the rain. His suit was keeping him semi warm, but that ran had been like swimming in a river. And he was soaked. His hair was still plastered to his face as the remaining water dripped from his body as he walked into the room.
Squinting a bit at the now brightly lit room, Dick looked around a bit. The lights were so bright compared to being down in the parking basement or that of being on the streets like he had been most of the early night. His eyes then finding Kory again and followed her as she went across the room.
Hearing the sound of her excitement, he wondered what she had found. ”What’s up,” was his first reaction over her excitement before she could say out about it. And telling by the squeal she gave, it was that of like when a child gets a present they wanted.
And when she came back over to him and was holding out the paper. He looked at it and was a bit puzzled, but might have caught what she was looking at. He wasn’t all that surprised. Kory loved that kind of stuff. Things like boardwalks and amusement parks. Not that he didn’t enjoy them. Dick was usually quite reserved when it came to events like that.
”I guess we could. Two bird with one stone for that matter as well,” Dick replied as he looked at the paper. He wasn’t about to turn down a chance to get out of the city for one night. It might be nice to just hang out with a friend for an change than worry about everything. He needed some fun away from all the seriousness.
Dick pulled off his gloves to free his hands from the wets suit a bit. He saw Kory pushing the paper toward him more. He took it from her and tried to keep it from getting all wet. Glancing over the dates on the paper, he looked back up at Kory as she started off again.
”You know it’s only up for one more night and that’s tomorrow,” Dick commented as he looked down at the paper. And before she started off, he removed the eye mask that was protecting his identity. He didn’t need that here. He didn’t need that around Kory. She knew him. So it made all the more sense for him to remove it for the time he was here. He folded it and placed it in one of the gloves as he set them down on a near by table.
”Take your time,” he started as he went to set the paper down on a near by table as he sat down on the couch. His suit still a bit wet, but most of it had dripped off the suit. But that didn’t mean he was not still soaked and chilled. ”There’s no hu........urry,” Dick had started to say when all of a sudden Kory walked pass him and then went and undid the clasp on her suit.
His eyes were on her as she had passed. A bit shocked for a moment. But like before, he knew how Kory was. Though it sure was a change from what he had gotten used to over the time she had been gone. Things were starting to heat up a bit for him. Only moments ago, he was withholding any feelings toward her. He was still tied down and it had been keeping him in place. But after all that had gone on that night and how close they were and how much he had missed her, he was starting to feel that drive again to be with her. It had been there all along, but he had been holding back. He had too, he couldn’t do anything like that. Could he?
Dick cleared his throat a bit and tried to state it more clearly this time, ”No hurry.” Even with the chill he had felt earlier, he was starting to feel a bit warmer now.
He fiddled around withe the paper a bit. Not exactly sure what to do. He had picked it up again and read over the article about the fair. After a bit he set it back on the table and glanced at it from there. He was starting to feel anxious all of a sudden.
Dick knew it was going to be easier if his arm was open to the surface rather and trying anything like rolling up the sleeve. That wasn’t easily done with the kelvin suits. This was one of the newer designs that had a zipper hidden on the front of it. He had several other design and protective suit styles he could use on different missions.
He went to start and unzip the hidden zipper only to find it getting caught on the material of the suit. Great...that was a first. Though it was a new suit. Not everything was perfect. The zipper got caught before the symbol on the front. Dick kept trying to work at it to get it unstuck, but wasn’t having much luck. He felt kind of stupid sitting there trying to get it uncaught as Kory came back into the room.
Glancing up at her from where she stood in her robe, Dick stopped what he was doing. She was still stunning, no matter what she was wearing. These were scenes he remembered all too well.

Upon holding her former lover whom she still loved. He spoke greatly into her ear. Feeling his linkage at her arm. Smiling as she flew with beside her as he spoke of camping. The circus. He must have meant circus tents. Still the thought of tiny little Grayson sleeping in a tent was much too adorable. Soon with the arrival of their feet upon the balcony and opening the door to a slightly chilled out room. Smiled a little more to see a quite drowned Nightwing in her living room. Not soon finding the incredible news the Carnival in New York. As she held out the news paper. Yes, yes. It was a must. She suddenly dreamed of a ferris wheel. Still with the fresh thought of little Robin.
"Oh Circus tents... Yes, that I remember... All I can imagine is how big they must have been when you were so little... Though you've grown since then."
It was about right that Dick made Kory see a little more sense, even if she had taken his words how he had phased them. It wasn't hard to picture a tiny version of him in a big tent, it was very cute. Her green eyes looked up as she noted how much he had grown. He was not a little boy anymore or the young Robin she had met. Though still with the same given heart she had fallen in love with. Upon pushing the news paper a little towards him. His puzzle look wasn't a new look. Knowing even more he needed time away from Gotham. Something with the taste of their home. He had a home here in Gotham, but another one entirely different in New York. Where he got to step away from Batman in away and on his own, leading other heroes along with him. They were always family. Kory wasn't sure what to make of his words. Didn't she hear this phrase before and what that stone is meant to do. Slowly she saw him warming up to the idea in his eyes. Her eyes dropped slightly in amusement. Before regaining.
"Don't get to excited Dick. You might be short of saying 'Yes Kory, I'd love to take you'... Dick? Are we the birds? Didn't the stone kill the birds?"
Kory teased his lack of excitement. Some days he was more than others depended on the activity really. It was like that murder game the titans had tried, he wasn't the greatest sport until it turned into a real murder. Letting go of the paper as she turned, stopping short as she was confused if they were the birds. Wouldn't that be killing Nightwing's own kind? Kory then walked off. Her top undone with her chest revealed. The suit slowly coming off step by step. Then he called out after taking the paper. Kory stopped for a second, turning to face him half naked.
"I know. We better leave early, you are mine for the day... By the end you'll be having fun... What could possibly go wrong?"
Kory spoke as she then half walked backwards. A day of fun and night. How could something bad happen? Well with that she knew it could happen, but to destroy the joy, she thought that was a slim chance. She then smiled as she exited the room. Hearing his voice echo as she did. About taking her time. Laughing softly as she could hear him saying it again. Kory did smile as she knew see her bare skin made something churn again. Grabbing the small handy kit. She soon made her way. Hearing a third time as he spoke it. Was that his trick way of saying hurry back or to really take her time? Kory stopped short to fidget with the buttons for the air flow and set it to jet out a little warmer. As she almost heard a little chattering with his words. She also heard a slight struggle and perhaps a little innocent curses under his breaths. As she got closer. His eyes soon found her and hers became softer to see him look at her in that way. Almost felt they were back in New York. She help treat a wound before they went to bed together. Somehow she wasn't sure it would result in that, but that was almost every night, it wasn't easy to forget.
Kory's eyes soon trailed. To see his hands struggle and give up on the removing of his suit. Kory couldn't help be slightly amused or the slight roll of his eyes. Had he accidentally did this or on purpose so she'd help? No this she knew by his face hadn't meant. Even the blushes gave it away. Smiling towards him as though he was such a man, still in need of a little bit of help. Kory then walked over to the couch. Also finding her heart thud every inch she took. Placing the kit and present down on the table for now. As her eyes looked over him kindly for a moment, with the charming smile upon her face. Felt his eyes run up her body, tracing the lines of her body. To her tousled wet red hair, that melted within the robe. Kory then motioned to sit close beside Dick.
"Dick? Here, please! Allow me!"
Kory expressed honestly caring. Even something small like this, she would always help him. It caused the need of her to move a little closer. Smelling the sweet scent the rain had created upon his skin. Her hands then motioned towards where the zipper got caught. Her eyes catching glimpse of his skin above. Her hand had to motion within, felt the chill of his skin upon her warm hand. He was maybe in need of a shower. Maybe a bath? She half liked that idea better. Her other hand trailed up his torso along the line as then found the zip. Giving it a dug. It was jammed nicely in. There was a chance if she used her strength she would rip it. Instead she took a deep approach. Taking a closer look to see where the fabric had be stuck. Slightly feeling herself slip from his wet suit. Found her hand in the direction of his thigh. Blushing softly as her hand motioned to take a deep slightly long hold before regaining herself. Almost feeling herself in his lap. Slowly her hand pulled at the fabric, it was getting them. Feeling her breath slightly rising as her eyes looked up to his with a smile. Knowing just how red his cheeks may possibly be.
Finally Kory managed to pull free the caught fabric and may have even saved his suit. As her fingers slowly curled around the zip to again attempted. Her other hand placed hard upon his chest for balance. Almost pulling himself a little towards her as with a deep smile almost cheeky she pulled at the zip. It seemed to budge. Her hand than slowly motioned down with the zip between her index and thumb, her other fingers stroked down the suit. Slowly she unzipped him. Revealing more skin and flesh between the opening. Also realising with a warm smile his mask was gone. She always saw him clearly so it wasn't any different to her. Still it was nice to see his face that way it was meant to be. Her hand then motioned to one of his bare hands. Smiling softly knowing this could have been one of those embarrassing moments, with a softly caress of her fingers. With her he had nothing to be embarrassed with. This was sweet. Still finding ways to save him.
"There. I think I saved your suit. Apart from that little mishap I do like the zip... Now let us check your wound so I may patch it for you?"
Kory expressed happily as he seemed safely unzipped. It was a nice addition. As her eye peaked inside. Before taking a closer look, she took more note towards the tear. His wound. As she asked him she bent to reach for the kit on the table, to give him the chance to slip out of his suit, but Kory was there quickly to help. As she brought the kit into her lap.

”Well that kind of happens as you get older,” Dick replied to her sarcastically. Of course he was only doing so in a teasing way. He’d never want to offend her or upset her for that matter.
At her words, he playfully rolled his eyes in annoyance at her way of putting words in his mouth. But then a grin came to his face as he realized that Kory did not understand his phrase of the two birds with one stone. He was sure he had told her this one before. He couldn’t help but to laugh a bit at how she was trying to piece it together.
”No, two birds with one stone is just another expression for taking care of two things at once. Hence the one stone and two bird,” Dick explained to her. He still had the large smile upon his face as he tried to hold back any more laughter over the matter. He couldn’t help it. Kory had always been cute when it came to her question expressions like that. But they way she thought they would be the two birds. He couldn’t help but laugh a bit.
He calmed himself down as the subject changed again. His eyes were still on her. How he had missed these times. The light teasing between them. Kory not understanding everything about earths ways still. He knew she still didn’t understand it all. And Dick had a fun time having to try and explain it to her. Though there were times that would get him red in the face over how she tried to interpret things.
”We are going to have to grab a different ride. I don’t think it wise to be driving Nightwing’s bike all over New York. Might stir up some trouble,” Dick started. The smile disappeared from his face and the sternness was coming back again. ”Oh no, don’t you even say that. The last time you did, we ended up taking on a super villain that tried to destroy the whole city. Something could always go wrong.”
All the while he was trying to say this, he had trouble. Of course his mind was going off somewhere else as she stood there in the room the way she was. How could he not get distracted. But he was trying to keep control of himself. Why did she have to be so hot?! Well scratch that question. Forget he even mentioned it.
Time passed quickly as he fiddled with the zipper on his suit. He tried to control his annoyance at it. Not really even realizing he was cursing under his breath. Everything had stopped when she had stepped back into the room. Though his heart felt like it was pounding louder as she came over to him. If this wasn’t embarrassing, he didn’t know what was. It was a mix of feelings over what was going on now.
And having her sit close to him on the couch wasn’t helping. And that smile of hers. He knew she had figured out he wasn’t playing any games with this. Dick couldn’t take his eyes off her. At her words, he silently nodded, unable to get the words out in protest over the help.
Dick had turned a bit her way to face her and make it a bit easier. He noticed she had moved closer to him as well. He felt her place her one hand upon his chest as it worked it’s way to grab a hold of the inside of the suit where the zipper was to help get the material uncaught.
He wanted to jump at the feel of her warm tan skin against his cold pale skin. Her touch was stirring up all these thought lost feelings for her. All the times together. All they had done together and all they had been through. He couldn’t help it. And feeling her other hand trace up his torso, gave him a shiver. He knew she was trying to be gentle about it. She was taking care not to tear it. But Dick wasn’t to concerned about that at the moment.
All he could do was sit than and look down at her as she worked. She was so close to him. He tried to watch her and tried to think straight. Though it wasn’t helping that he could smell the scent of something sweet and fruity she must have washed her hair with earlier on that day. The rain water had just brought the scent back up. He would never admit it out loud at the time, but it was driving him wild.
As she continued to work on it, he felt her slip because of the wet suit. He felt her lay her hand on his thigh. And as it sat there for a few, what seemed long moments, Dick couldn’t help but feel like he must have been holding his breath at her touch again. His face was bright red at all this. Not only was it embarrassed to need help to undo the zipper. But Kory was there. Though, then again she had been there for a lot of things. Dick just wasn’t someone who liked to even feel the least bit helpless. His pride would not allow him.
When she had finally managed to free the zipper from the fabric, his glance shifted off of her as she unzipped it and had pulled him closer. Not along him the chance to do it himself. If his face could be any redder it would have been with how slow she was unzipping it. He felt her hand upon his as her fingers met his. He knew he had nothing to hide from Kory. She knew him all too well. But he couldn’t help it.
Dick was silenced by the embarrassment that he had gone through. His cheeks burning and he was feeling a lot warmer than he had earlier. He started to wonder if it was him or the place they were in.
Moving on as she bent over to reach for the first aid kit, Dick slipped his good arm out of the right arm of the suit first. It was a bit awkward since he had turned a bit to have been facing her and now that side was facing the back of the couch with little space. As soon as he slipped his arm out of the sleeve, he worked on removed the other from the left sleeve. He was careful about it, even though it only had a burning feeling to it. The bleeding had stopped and it really didn’t look as bad as it had now that the rain had washed it down and the suit covering it was removed to get a better look. The kelvin lining of the suit had done a rather good job of protecting him from a blow like that.
He let the top part of the suit fall backwards behind him. It falling to about his waist. His skin finally open to the air and out of that soaking wet suit. Though while doing this all, his eyes had followed Kory as she had bent to get the first aid kit. Only to return to try and help him.
His blue eyes followed her glance at the first aid kit and he watched her motions. Oh, how he had missed the little things about her. How her hair fell into light waves and curls. The rich orange tan of her skin. And her emerald green eyes that could look into a person it seemed. Not to mention a few other things.
As she returned to facing him, Dick couldn’t take it any more. It seemed to have been being held back between the two of them. It had only been building up. After all this time of not seeing her and then having her back, it had been driving him crazy every since she had come back not so long ago. They were already so close.
And before Kory could say or do anything more, Dick closed the space between them leaning forward on to his right leg that had been on he couch as he had been facing her. Dick’s right hand sliding to her back to pull her closer to him. His lips finding her lips right away. It had been something he had been longing to do all night. Then again maybe since the time she had left. All thoughts were banished from his mind. All he could think about was being with her then and there. He wanted her.
He was taking the chance to not lose the moment. It had started off so awkward to him, but that was only because he was holding back so much. But now, now...he just couldn’t hold it back longer. His arms quickly found her to pull her in closer as he brought his left hand up to her face to pull her in more. His right hand bringing her in closer and to his height as his right leg was underneath him now for leverage.

There came another slight roll of Kory's green eyes. As Dick used the sarcasm which she generally understood as best she could. Some of the earth ways was still odd to her and not overly correct. Which was why the tamaranean got confused use to pure honesty. Her smiled widened as he spoke of getting older and yet he still looked quite young. Her eyes couldn't trace any grey hairs, so he was a while off that age Kory was sure. Finding herself nodding as Dick cleared up the whole birds and stone. She was still confused if someone was meant to be getting killed. Though she understood the doing two jobs at once. Half wondering why he didn't just say that, instead of killing these make believe birds. She quite liked birds. She was sure he had nothing to do with that. Still Kory found herself smiling at his cuteness in clearing it up. With her wet skin exposed. His words then stopped her again. Watching his smile almost non existent.
"I'm sure we can rent a car unless we can borrow one of Bruce's 50 billion cars in the garage. I'm sure if you or I asked him nicely... Yes and if we hadn't of gone to the ballet, there still would have been an attack and we wouldn't of been there to stop it. Dick, you've got to quite making excuses, you can't let possibilities of such things control your life."
Kory expressed the asking of a car from Bruce's stash of them. She was sure there would be somehow in asking. Maybe if Kory asked, but she couldn't be sure. They never were all that close. They really had one thing in common and that was standing before her. As she smiled about his concerns on an attack some time ago. Kory found it a bit sweet, but had they not gone. Who would have been there to stop it? So it was a good thing they went. If it something happens it happens and hopefully they'll stop it. It was like the many hurdles in life, you just gotta accept them and you'll feel better once you've jumped them. At least you tried.
Kory soon turned and then returned. After shortly thinking of cotton candies and rides. The giant hammer thing she busted last year. Maybe this year, third times the charm. Kory was sure she'll get a rise out Dick by the end of the night. As Kory shortly after found the comfortable spot on the couch. Helping with his stuck zipper. It was nice. That was saying it lightly. Kory's eyes moved between the zipper and his eyes. His movements. He shivered and it caused her blood to flow. Felt his eyes watch her every move. Taking in the sight and she could have sworn he smelt her. Her hand upon him felt the tightness in his chest. Her lips smiled softly. Seeing the faint glow of his cold cheeks. He was seemingly undone. Well almost as Kory's hand slowly unzipped him. She almost felt hims squirm and freeze as her hand fell to his thigh. Her fingers massaged, having missed that spot for some time. Felt the slight rise of her chest. As her hand slide down his chest. As the front was now unzipped. Her hand sat at the end for a little bit. Felt the warmth of his skin below. Her eyes scanned up where his skin peaked through. Felt her knees buckled. There was something as her eyes looked to his. He was looking at her in the way she had hoped he would.
Kory felt his gaze. He looked over her body. Made her skin shiver in the way he was desiring her. Finding herself smiling as she turned to get the kit. Feeling some radiance of joy as her heart was slowly picking up. He was thinking of something or nothing, but his mind was solely on her. As she felt something inside him relaxing. There was movement, but he was opening up. To something. As Kory turned back with kit upon her lap. Her green eyes looked through her lashes. To his which ran over her red hair, tracing to the bits falling in her chest. That traced her neck line. Her then traced his lips. Her own hand lightly traced her neck as she smiled softly to him. Her eyes tracing his bare chest as her hands motioned to help in out of what was left. As her hand caressed carefully around his wound. Her eyes looked to his as she carefully stroked it. It did look a little better, but it was still deep enough. Kory dropped her mouth upon it lightly to make it feel better. Watched as something coiled in his throat. His eyes upon her. As she then motioned for a bandage. She felt his hand stop her. She felt it trail down her spine. Her lips expressed a low sound. Felt it trail a little before his hand pulled her in. Felt her heart beat and her chest rise in deep breaths. She knew what was coming. He had felt his emotions and acted on them. It was beautiful. As her hand ran over his cheek with a deep smile. Held her hand there as he soon took her lips.
Moving her own her lips massaged his. It was like mini fireworks. Her heart never stopped racing. Her stomach was unsettled in a good way. Her eyes were shut, but they watered from this pure joy. It filled her heart. She had longed from him since she left. Hoped when she came back he still loved her. His heart needed hers. She muttered a sweet sound the unleashing the small pain she had carried in her heart was now gone. As she deeply moved her mouth upon his bottom lip. Kory responded to his need. As he pulled her in more. Felt her front parts against his. Somewhere in the pulling her robe had loosened. It slid a little from her shoulders. As his hand caressed her face. Kory lifted her leg upon his lap. Her hand upon his bare chest. Felt the dints and scars. Felt as his skin almost shivered at her touch. Something coiled in his chest. Almost burning. Kory smiled in the kiss. Sinking into his arms. Her body pressed firm against his own. She motioned her lips off, her hand encourage his to trail her neck.
"Oh, Dick... I've not felt such joy in so long..."
As her lips smiled. Her hand ran across his torso. Felt where a recent wound was. It caused a commotion in her heart. As her eyes opened. Really seeing his chest below as she enjoyed his affections. Her fingers traced the wounds. Traces of stitches. New scars she hadn't seen. Caressing them gently as she silently took it all in. Just how much he had faced since she was gone. Oh how she had missed him. She motioned her lips to one of the recent wounds still on their way of being healing. Kissed it gently. As her hand ran up his neck with a smile though caring that his body had faced so much alone. He didn't have to they told the story. As her lips took hold of his again. As more of her robe slipped and she half sat on him. Her hand falling back down to gently sooth his wounds and aches. Forgetting the world around them as the rain hit the window just enough, but she couldn't hear anything over the beat of their hearts. Finding herself falling into his lips and only more in love as the day she met him.
