"Of course, Dick. Just know that I am here and you don't need to do everything alone. What ever it is, I know you can face it. Just have faith."
Kory's eyes ran with the bit of concern. She felt a little helpless, but she had to respect what he wanted. Even though it was a bit painful he wouldn't tell her. In time. Maybe. In time. As she curled her head. Smiling. She needed to be the strong one. Taking that deep breath. Given his words. His desires. He couldn't stop her from being there for him. Somethings were best shared. Kory smiled. He might not realise that now, but one day he will. Kory's face lit up at least trying to give him something. Some hope. Faith within himself. Then as Kory's mind was finding a way into his heart. Came a sweet laughter. It quite made her smile and look up. Then as quickly as he laughed. Came the tension through his words. Sometimes they were confusing. Where she had been light, but in ways honest. A body was different to her. It wasn't so much what it looked like, it was what it did. How it did it. Finding herself amused at that long loop. Where in reality. His reality. Would that be such a bad thing? It could rather be beneficial, it could get rid of his tension and among other things. Kory's head rolled slightly as she laughed softly. Surely he had no idea why. It was nothing new.
"No. We certainly wouldn't want to push your prudish nature… Though I think someone needs to push it soon. You're all tense… You know it's unhealthy?"
Sometimes, he can't take a compliment. Though he was the one that took it there. As Kory rolled her eyes slightly in sarcasm. She still wasn't very good with it. As it sort of unbalanced her honest nature, but he deserved that jab. Just lightly of course. As Kory teased him. Her fingers poked him. To prove his tenseness. As her eyes looked up at him playfully as she questioned him. With a curious look. Half raising her brow. Either blushing soon or lightening up. Either way something sweet should follow as she then innocently smiled. As he wanted to take it there. As Kory rolled her head. She quite loved him for it as she softly laughed.
"It is a nice combination, nice moves. Very nice moves. Like dancing… It is a sweet image… Oooh, My Robin.. You mean the days when you didn't mind being pants less, even in public. No, Dick. Your not confusing at all… Honestly I did admire you for it. Oh and your little Robin Collar. Quite handsome… Even more handsome now, even with your naughty zipper."
As Kory settled back more if there could be more. Just as spoke of Robin. A time when not only did he wear no pants before Kory, didn't wear pants in front of others as well. Kory playfully pointed out to him. As her eyes curiously pondered over his. What was stopping him leading it to something before? Well, it didn't always, but he managed to keep himself in check. Stretching herself a little to find that he had quite a groove. She fit there nicely. As she then sweetly spoke how she had admired him for it. Suits. clothes. It just wasn't something that defined anyone in her eyes. A lot of ways clothes in Tamaran were ceremonial or for protection. Showing his legs in this world though, showed a little more bravery. Bravery within himself, even if he didn't know it. As she smiled softly. What was so wrong with being comfortable in your own skin? It was the only skin Kory had.
"No… You are the hardest for me to forget."
That was true. Kory had spent so much time since her coming to earth with Dick. It was a tamaranean thing. Humans remembered more visually where it was different for her, something familiar like clothes that had a scent, it helped. The longer time spent with someone the longer it took to forget, but somehow he was harder because she resisted her tamaranean nature, but she could only do that for so long. The earth ways she had picked up didn't always work. Plus she didn't want to forget him. Didn't mean she couldn't miss him or her feelings would change. If for a moment she did forget. The moment she saw him again she would remember everything. Just like now. Quite the reason why she wanted him here tonight. The more time spent the less chances he'd fade from her mind. Not from her heart. As Kory smiled as she knew Dick understood or perhaps didn't but accepted it. Tried to. As he was sweetly trying to ease her up and light her up as well. Two peas. One comfy pod. Then came his words about him not forgetting. Luckily for him he did have an earthly mind, although not as if they never forgot things, but this. No he didn't forget this. As he smiled. Kory blushed slightly. A soft squeal well almost, she was just a little bit joyed. The more scent. The stronger she recalled.
Happily then as Dick let her take him by his hands. To help him to his feet and find her bedroom. Kory softly laughing as his suit trailed them. Admiring his chest a little more. The marks did cause a kind little flutter. Excited? She was happy to help. She had quite lovely memories of them sharing a bed. Their bed at one stage. It wasn't entirely the bumping, although that was fun. The time spent was what mattered the most and so much love shared. Kept within. It was a comfortable place. Especially for him after a day of him worrying so much. She would lovingly rub his back, until he loosened up. Until his mind was back into the room… It was nice. Kory smiled softly towards the bed as she rested against the frame. Her eyes trailing to his as he spoke. Felt her eyes brim with light. With the hope. Smiling sweetly as her hand gently moved towards his cheek. The back of his neck. Sliding a little down towards his chest before regaining her hand. As she gesture sweetly and her smile grew in response. Then removing herself and motioned towards the bathroom. Stopping shortly as Dick Replied. Dipping her head kindly.
"Dick Grayson… You are a wonder… I won't be long."
Said calmly as her eyes grazed his items she kept. Which she adored. In ways they were a connection well one of many. She blushed softly before continuing towards the shower. Undoing her robe as she walked. One of them wasn't so prudish. As her red hair then tousled down her bare back, trailing down her lean toned limbs. Before disappearing into the sound of running water. The warmth hit her skin. There was a playing of bubbles from the soap she used. With the door left opened. Left the echo of her laugh. Her joy escape into something else. As well as her voice of some song which wasn't overly off key, but it really wasn't the point. Not a lot could sway her having fun.

”Prudish nature? I’m not going to forget you said that,” Dick remarked to her. He didn’t much care for that kind of wording over his behavior. But then again this was Kory. He took things more lightly when she had said of it.
Dick gave her a slight glare at her words and when she poked him as he crossed his arms. Though this was more of play between the two than anything. He wasn’t really annoyed with this all. He knew Kory would try to set him off like that. ”If it’s so unhealthy than why does it come naturally? And I’m talking about the tension,” Dick replied jokingly.
He gave her a puzzled look for a moment over her comment. ”How is the zipper suppose to be...oh. Never mind,” Dick replied. He knew what she was getting at. It was the walk through memory lane that had thrown his mind off track for a moment. Still he was glad he had long since grown out of those previous stages of his early costume. Though he knew he would never live it down with all the nicknames his teammates had come up with for him.
Now standing in her room after her leading him there. He watched her as she leaded on the bed frame. He felt her hand run down from his cheek, to his neck, and a bit down his chest. He reddened slightly. This was some what hard for him to hold back so much from her. Her touch upon his skin and her being right there in front of him. Dick had truly missed her. And in a way it was driving him crazy inside that he had withhold such feelings.
As Kory started to head for the bathroom, Dick sat on the bed and pulled off his right boot of the Nightwing suit. He stopped when he saw more motion in Kory’s direction as she let her robe fall and walk away. Dick’s heart started to rush a bit. But he then returned to pulling off the other boot. He stopped and pulled out his cell phone from one of the many hidden pockets built into the shin line of his boots and pulled it out.
He looked at his phone. Still not messages. He got up and placed it on the night stand near the bed as he slipped the rest of his suit off and grabbed for the sweatpants and pulled them on. He could hear Kory’s voice carrying out from the shower as she sang.
Dick smiled to himself. Kory always seemed to be in a bright mood. And there wasn’t much that would change that nature. Dick grabbed the shirt and put it on as he sat back on the bed. Just letting his mind wander. His bare feet touching the floor from where he sat.
After a bit of his mind wandering, he had leaned back onto the bed and was now laying on his back. His eyelids were getting heavy. He wasn’t sure even how many hours of sleep he had gotten in the last few days. He let himself doze in and out of a light sleep for a bit. As he rest there with his legs hanging off the bed and his hands crossed behind his head as he listened to the rain and thunder outside. And could hear the sound of the shower running as he waited for Kory to return. He knew it wouldn’t be long.

"When have you?... Sarcasm, Dick... I was referring to the human nature. Are you suddenly Tamaranean? Because that could make things go a little smoother, but yet here I am, challenging my nature.. I know yours. I know it quite well. You've proven me wrong many times before... You do sometimes like sneaking it up on me and when ever have I complained about that, Hun?"
Kory then happily remarked. Feeling she may have poked him a little in the nerve. He was the one that taught her. The sarcasm. It wasn't on Tamaran, that was for sure. There people said what they mean. Less confusing. Dick. Well yes he could still confuse her, but more often or not she understood him. Kory kindly spoke. A little amused, but her hand touched him gently to remind him that she was the last he needed to worry about. She would never wish to hurt him, not in that way. Or really in any way. Yet cases maybe he was still human. Not tamaranean or any other kind of species. As Kory half turned her head to look to him. Truthfully it probably would make things easier. Though not for the better. She might not always understand but she accepted him the way he was. As she said her eyes looked into his, Kory liked him how he was. It was why she loved him. She accepted him for who he was. A remarkable man. As she gently ran finger from his cheek. Proving her point, her emotions. How she felt and how he made her feel, most importantly. Kory smiled softly as she watched sweetly he was perhaps slightly annoyed. As she curled her head against his that cared so greatly. As she recalled his prudish nature especially when it was on the off switch at the best of times. He was still conservative, but even he could surprise her. Unexpected sort of made it more unique
"It's not the tension if it leads to something, it's not doing anything about it that's unhealthy. Your body is trying to tell you something and it is defiantly telling me something."
As Kory tried to make sense of him joking about the tension. That kind of tension he was holding back. For good reasons she could tell, but it wouldn't be good forever. Not if he didn't sort it out. Reading his body was easier then other times. Generally could tell when he needed to relax and not just sit on the couch. Letting his body relax while his mind raced around. Softly laughing as he for a moment was puzzled. Shaking her head slightly he was cute when he was confused and yet found a way to figure it out. she smiled as she again touched his cheek. Somewhere he was lost in the moment. With her. That was sweet to wonder about... Names. Never did she. Nor would she ever name him. To hurt him. There was nothing he could wear or not wear that could change how she truly saw him. Nothing could hide that. They didn't define who he was no suit did. He defined the suits. Gave them power and a presence. She quite liked each and every one of his looks. After all how could she not. It was him. As she lightly pecked him on the cheek to remind him that he was special to her. He could never hide from her not completely. Grazing the tip of her nose just gently. She embraced all that he was. Trying to sooth any concerns she was able to sooth.
Felt the buzz. The pulsing beneath her hand. As she touched his skin. It was harder not to touch him. To really feel him. As they lingered in her door way. The silence. So she could feel everything. Felt the longing in his heart. In hers. All her emotions drove her that this was right. How could they be wrong? She wanted to be with him. In a way they hadn't been before. With all that he was holding back. She knew if she pushed. He would regret it. She didn't want him to regret anything with her. Bit by bit, the more he was feeling. Kory was happy for now to know he did love her. At least she felt it. Smiling softly. Escape softly breath of joy. To feel him once again. Before Kory stripped and fell within the shower. The water. Recalling shortly the stopping of air as she walked out of the room and as her eye faintly caught him in its corner. There was so much there. So much. It felt nice to feel the pulse of warm water stream down her. Realising just how much was still between them. What would always be there. Smiling. Singing. Laughing. This was joyful. This was hope. As her heart so wanted for a moment to truly believe he was coming back to her. To think he was in her room. On her bed. Felt slightly nervous, but in a good way. As she washed her hair. So best be rid of the rain smell. Before she couldn't bare the wait any longer. She stepped out. Towel dried herself off. Blow dried her hair. It was now shiny and clean again. Tousled waves down her skin. Which sparkled gold. Slipping on a t-shirt. A little over sized, but it cut short above her thighs. Mostly likely it was one of his.
Kory then switched off the bathroom light. Re-entering her bedroom. Peaking a little to make sure, but knowing him well he would have hurried. Yes. She was proved that was what happened. He had exhausted himself out. As stood admired him dozing off. A sleep? Between she guessed? He was maybe fighting it still. Though he still looked so handsome. So peaceful and cute. Felt her emotions run as he looked so comfortable on her bed. It really was a safe place. One she wished to share. Crossing the space quietly. She pulled back the covers on the other side and slipped herself inside. Finding it sweet he remembered which side she slept on. As her bare legs curled into the comfort. Half pushing the shirt up, with nothing under neath. As Kory's head then rested deep within the pillow. Her green eyes just soaking up this feeling. She wished it could be somewhat like this every night. It was quite a joy to wake up to that face. To his touch. The way he breathed at night. As then she let out the breath she was holding to best relax herself. Reached out a gentle hand to his arm. Not to startle him of course... He needed sleep. He needed proper sleep.
"Dick, sweetheart? AWWW, you really are tired. It's more comfortable under the covers, you'll sleep better..."
Kory spoke in a soft low tone. Caring. Surely enough that he caught some of that... He was looking so peaceful. Though she offered him the chance to be more comfortable. To really feel him next to her. She innocently thought to herself. They were both quite tired. If anything they'd wake up hand in hand, just out of habit. The natural way their bodies just reacted.

Dick could slightly hear the hum of a hair dyer going. It was an all too familiar sound he had grown used to hearing while Barbara had come to live with him. His mind slowly drifting away from the problems that were on his mind. Easing into a more relax state.
He moved slightly more so onto the bed as he lay there and made himself more comfortable. Not really taking note to the sound of the hair dyer stopping. The slight creaking of the floor boards were warning of someone approach where he was.
Dick’s mind was too settled on trying to catch up on some sleep to really take notice at the time. His body was so used to the short hours he took to sleeping now a days. That when he would sleep for four hours on average a night most times, that he often crashed as soon as he got home and was headed for bed.
He felt a shifting of the bed underneath him a bit. Someone climbing in. His mind some what lost as to where he was as he lay there. It was after the shifting he felt a gentle hand touch against his skins that he slightly opened his eyes sleepily.
At the words he heard, he caught most of them. His mind not really wanting to fully wake up to really take the time to respond properly. So in response, he simply moaned in response to her words.
Though his mind had caught hold of what was said. Almost as if an order rather than a suggestion. He reacted by slowly getting up a bit leaning on his one arm and pulling the covers that had been under neath him.
He moved to slide up a bit and pull the blanket slightly to allow himself to slide under the covers. His mind almost set on autopilot at the time. As he then slide under the covers more and pulled them over him a bit more. His head meeting with the pillow as he lay his head to rest.
He sank deep into the bed and covers turning on his side to somewhat face Kory. Not really making anything of it beside his habit to sleep. His eyes remained closed most of the time through out his movements beside maybe heavily opening from time to time. But now he lay at rest. His chest rising and falling heavily with every deep slow breath he took as his body adjusted to remembering to settle for some sleep.
Morning would come soon enough. And he would have to start his schedule all over again. He’d worry about it when he was up.

Watching sweetly as Dick muttered nothingness. His head was already vastly gone. As Kory laid watching him in all his sleepy glory. As his hands fumbled with the covers. He really was here! As Kory's eyes looked over something so familiar. He was beside her. In bed. It caused a nice sensation within her heart. For a moment they were safe. From the world. From the thrashings of the storm still lapping at her windows. Kory smiled the whole time as Dick tucked himself in as if so many times, it was just habit. No tossing. She was sure. He was unable to resist, he was comfortable and rather enjoying it. As her hand gently brushed his hair. With his face so close to where she laid hers beside him. Finding though sleep was evident for her, it was a little hard to turn her eyes away. He looked so peaceful. All now she heard was his deep breaths. She felt a bubbled emotion as she had quite missed this sound. It was easier to hear when everything was calm like this. What really could go wrong?
"I love you."
Kory said almost a whisper, just mostly an inner thought said out loud. Slightly wiping her eye because only time could tell when he might say it back and truly mean it. Lightly brushing his hair. Just enough on the skin so not to ruin this state. She was watching. As her breaths settled. Coming to terms he wasn't going anywhere tonight. She was safe to close her eyes. Somehow she was sure he'd meet her there. He was a sweet dream. As Kory then removed her hand. Could feel the brush of his leg against her own. In no hurry to move it. Her hand motioned for his hand. To hold it gently. To help ease her into sleep. He wouldn't be so out of reach like he was these past months. As soon her green eyes closed and fell into a warm sleep. Somewhere in the natural pattern Kory turned. Curled a little closer. Still trying to hold on to his hand. Clutched to her chest. Her torso at one point. In her mind they were caught on the ferris wheel. Fireworks. There he opened his heart and let her in. Causing the cradle to rock. Before the dream led them back to the tower. Hand in hand.
The whole night she smiled. Softly laughed as he said something sweet and endearing in her dream. Soon the night had faded and the morning dew had come. The sunlight peaked through the curtains. Sparkling nicely where Kory laid. As she half groaned. Not wanting to wake so quickly from this dream and waking up to realise all last night was maybe a dream. Perhaps he wouldn't be here. Though she was sure she truly still feel his hand more so than just in her mind. As her body then stretched a little as her eyes blinked open slowly. Finding not so easy to move. It was comfortable. As finally took the courage to see if he was still there. Felt that excitement as if it was christmas for a child. Today was Carnival time. Oh. She had missed New York. Even if she was there just seconds ago.
"Morning... How did you sleep? Oh, todays the day... I'm so excited, I dreamed of New York, Dick."
Kory finally found her voice. Kindly speaking as she turned. Hoping the chances he was still there as she did. Unless he was still sleeping. Food? Could be a nice excuse for breakfast in bed. Only it took her a bit for Dick to explain to her what that actually meant. Hmmm. As she beamed with the coming day. It would be nice to get out of the city with Dick. Well technically back to another city, but entirely different city.

Everything that had been left out that night was still in place. Dick’s cell phone was still on the night stand. His suit lay on the floor. And the boots at the foot of the bed on the floor.
Dick drowsily heard a voice from behind him that work him. He wasn’t exactly sure at first who it was. It was so familiar. But his mind was yet clear as to who it might be. He half opened his eyes. The heavy lids wanting nothing more than to just shut and go back to sleep.
His eyes though then caught sight of the chance in scenery. This wasn’t his place. What had gone on last night hadn’t been a dream. He was still at Kory’s. Though nothing more happened after what had led him into stay the night, he was a bit surprised at first. But recalled the nights events.
Dick heard Kory’s familiar voice and then looked over toward his phone. He reached out for it and touched the screen to wake it and see the time. It was only seven o’clock. He gave a sigh and then placed the phone back on the night stand.
”I slept fine,” he said. He then turned over onto his back to be able to see Kory as he spoke. ”Kory, it’s only seven o’clock. The fair is not until this evening. And it won’t take more than about maybe an hour to get there,” his sleepy blue eyes fell upon her. Almost wanting to beg for and bit more time to sleep. He was exhausted.
There was one factor he had forgotten about that night though. That he had come here dressed as Nightwing. And therefore, his bike was still in the parking garage. Which meant he couldn’t very well leave it there while they went out for a night on the town in New York. Even though he did put a cover over it to hide it for now.
Yet, either way. He was going to have to get back out on it as Nightwing that morning and the best place to go from there was straight to the batcave for cover during the day. To risky to try and get back to his place. Besides, he could easily from there get a change of cloths that still was left at Bruce’s and get a car to borrow for the day as well.
But at this time, his mind wasn’t on that at the time. He just wanted more sleep. Dick glanced at Kory. Her fiery hair stood out most off all as well as her bright gleaming green eyes. She was already awake and all excited now. There wasn’t going to be much to talk her into sleeping a bit longer.
Though his mind still hadn’t gone over the fact of having to return home as Nightwing on his bike. Something he was going have to do in the day light. ”That’s nice Kory,” he gave a slight sleepy smile to her.
”But can’t we just sleep a while longer,” he said as he turned back over again pulling the overs in closer again. Just wanting to stay in the warm bed. But something was telling him they wouldn’t have much of a chance with how things went last night.

It was going to be a fine day. With what Kory could glimpse. The storm had passed during the sleeping. It was still quiet and with the curtain shut it made the room feel cosy. It was a decent space. As Kory laid there upon her back. With the coming day ahead of her. For them. Unable to shake this smile. Also the fact as her green eyes turned to look. He was there. He was still there. As made to get any sleep out of her eyes with her hands. Kory was actually quite happy to lay here with him. She wasn't about to let this moment slip her by. As Dick woke out of his sleep. Kory's face softened to finally see his. Biting her bottom lip he was still sleepy. He was in no rush to leave. Keeping Dick in bed was generally the highlight. Now with the coming excitement. Kory settled back into the bed a little more. As Dick protested. He really was tired. Or perhaps he didn't want to leave her bed? It was just something to see his beautiful face in the morning. Recalling his persistence of his lips last night. His hands. As her eyes trailed downwards. Whatever he had made her feel last night, it was still here. Still something was different. a little different than any other morning they had woken up together. There still was a sweetness, maybe extra calming. As Kory's arms escaped the covers to the top, resting them in this comfortable spot.
"It was, Dick. It really was... Oh of course. There's no need to leave the bed just yet... Go back to sleep... The day will wait us."
Kory murmured lightly as she recalled the dream, though it wasn't overly direct set of words. As her eyes tracked over the ceiling. As hand coiled through her hair to detangle it a bit. She had no concern for him getting some more sleep. He might need it for the carnival she thought smiling as he turned. Watching him resettle himself. It was sweet to watch. He was so close. For now this was enough. As thought of happy things. Relaxed deeply as she was still not completely a wake. So she laid there what seemed not long enough hearing him breathe. Feel him close. Her skin brushed him lightly, she felt tingles. During which she ordered some food and soon came the faint rattling at the door. As her feet searched, finally finding the floor. Yet her heart ached not wishing to leave so soon. Kory silently left to go answer the door. The man eyeing her bare legs, but Kory didn't pay attention. Paying the nice man with a bonus of a smile. With the tray and oh, it smelled so good. Her stomach did summersaults. As quietly and happily returned to her room. The bed. So when he woke up, he can wake up with a good start to his day. He can get his extra extra time in bed. As set the tray down. It had smell of bacon. Eggs. Yummy things. And enough fruit. As Kory liked colourful things. As took the lid off. It well was more than enough food. She curled her naked legs upon the bed. Picking up a grape. As she innocently looked over to Dick with a smile.
"When you ready, breakfast is ready! It's really good."

”Good. Because I saw I’m not really to get up yet,” Dick grumbled a bit as he rest his head deep into the pillow again.
Dick could feel the bed shifting a bit as Kory was getting up. He felt her brush against him as she got up as well. He stayed where he was as he was too tired to really try to get up. Glancing up once at least as he watch Kory leave the room.
Last night really had been enjoyable for him. He couldn’t remember the last time he had actually had a chance to relax. There was just something about her that made him feel comfortable. And lately, it had been a long while since he hadn’t felt stressed out over something. Or having to worry about making the wrong step or say the wrong thing and set someone off.
He could hear a bit of noise from out in the living room. He knew someone must have come up with what ever Kory might had ordered. And he could hear her foot step returning toward the room again.
Dick lay there trying to get some sleep any ways. But everything was a bit distracting that morning for some reason. And Kory had returned to the bed with the food in hand.
The mattress shifted once again as she had climbed back onto the bed. And as she spoke, Dick opened his eyes and looked toward the wall that faced him several feet away.
”I’m sure it is Kory, but it can wait a bit,” Dick said tiredly. Not trying to snap at her at all. He had just been so tired out after everything lately.
Then his phone went off. The ringer on it was an an alarm for a text message. It would go off without sending a few warnings as it waited to be answered. Dick shifted a bit and grumbled something as he reached out with his right hand to grab his phone.
He ran his thumb over it and looked at the message. It was just a message from one of his friends over working on a school project. Even though the friend was suggesting maybe they just go hang out today later.
”You’ve got to be kicking me. He has to bring this up at this time in the morning,” Dick mumbled as he turned over in the bed to lay on his back. He brought his other hand up and was going to text back that maybe it could wait another day or something and that he had some last minute thing come up for the day.
He did text back and then set the phone down on the bed with it still sitting in his hand as he lay there. He was looking up at the ceiling after that. Giving a sigh, Dick looked over at Kory. ”Guess I’m up for the morning,” Dick replied. He then leaned up a bit to prop himself up on his right arm.

At the grumbling words of the man she loved. Kory smiled amused. Softly laughing. Very cute. Stubborn, but still very cute. As regained her nest upon the bed. The day was only beginning. So waking up could take sometime. Another time could become that morning kiss. The holding. All night he was so close and yet just a little off. All in all, it was relaxing. There was something simple about it. No strings. No complications. Least not at the front line. As she listened to his breaths and how his head dug into the pillow. He was peaceful. Truly resting his churning head of his. As her hands fiddled with some more food. Drinking some fresh juice. Just watched him. Between gazing through the window. Recalling the dream. Randomly smiling and laughing. As her eyes scanned some of the buildings outside. Soon she'd see New York again. Almost felt they were back into the tower, but another gaze proved her wrong. Letting out a deep sigh as she wondered if any of her friends. The titans be there. She so wanted to see them again. Arm wrestle Cyborg and hug Donna. Laugh and enjoy with them all. It would be nice. To feel the family again. Just as another sigh escaped her. Came more grumbling beside her. Still there. As her green eyes was loving every second. He really was tired. Kory couldn't help wonder when was the last time he slept. Really slept and relaxed. No judgement, just be. Just live in the moment. Be himself. Because right now she was admiring every inch he was and happily seeing bits she hadn't seen before, but there really couldn't be anything she hadn't seen yet. Bringing more warm sensational goods to her food, with the intense flavour of honey. A hand ran through her hair, behind her ear.
"It sure can, Hun... I like watching you sleep... You make such soothing sounds, I didn't realise how much I missed it. So peaceful.... So beautiful..."
At first it was mostly directed to him. It was all quite, but mostly Kory was just thinking out loud. Not mindful if he heard at any great depth. It was just how she was feeling. Her voice soft. Not wanting to unsettle him anymore and so she can continue to watch and be soothed by it. Her facial expression sweet and kind. As she spoke of watching him sleep. She gently let without greatly disturbing him. Just gentle with her fingers. Brushing his hair lightly. Truly admiring where he lay. Admiring how precious he still was to her. He made her love. He probably couldn't see or feel. As her breaths were rather caught in the moment. As she smiled so brightly. He made her smile so brightly. Her eyes shining. As slowly she breathed. As her heart was still thudding. It really was in all this moment that she was really realising just how much she had missed. Just simple things, moments like this one. That caused a wave in her emotions. When she was in position to feel his along side her. Her hand stopped as she spoke that. As it did come out low from her heart. Taking back her hand. Resting her head back a little on the head rest. Smiled brightly still keeping a sweet eye. Before eating more of the breakfast after just letting herself go within that moment. Her eyes scanning back to the window. She was sure today would be quite a day. New York, hmmm as she breathed deeply and easier. Yes, today would be a good day.
"Dick?... What's wrong?"
As she was admiring the peace. The faint gaze through the city. Then Dick's phone buzzed and all she really caught was him mumbling. Sounding tense. As quickly looked to him where he laid. To see him suddenly distressed. Her hand motioned towards his chest area. To help sooth him if something really was wrong. As her eyes searched between what had just happened. Finding she had turned quite a lot of her towards him. after putting the tray off her lap and on the bed for safety. Her other hand motioned to his head. To best calm him down. Then her hands fabled as text back, he was seemingly more quiet, perhaps things were fine. Still Kory was unsure. He was so peaceful. Now. Her hands settled off a bit as he began to sit up. Her eyes ran concerned and curious. As he let out a sigh. It caused a feeling in her heart a slight ache, then he looked to her. Felt her chest tighten and her breath stop shortly. Trying to offer a reassuring smile, try and ease his mind. As her hands gently helped him in a caring way not too pushy as not to over stay her welcome. Kory nodded faintly her eyes sparkled a little more as he spoke of morning. Smiled then brightly and her hands then went for the tray. Placing it in a better position for him. Added more to her smile trying to sooth his mind. So he can really take his time getting out of bed. Which truthfully she wasn't really hoping it be any time soon.
"You can take your time, Dick... Here... Would you like some breakfast? It really is good."
Kory spoke softly. Caring. Kindly. As showed him the food, in hoping it will help ease his mind as he did wake up. Her face softened as she reassured him again it was good. As ate some more herself. The sharing of food was always a highlight. In bed it was a special bonus. As picked up a grape and motioned it towards his lips. Smiling innocently. Either he'd refuse. Eat it pleasantly or bite her as well. That suddenly brought back a fond memory as her cheeks softly changed colour and she softly laughed. Smiling. With green eyes watching his blue eyes. He was beautiful when he slept, but his eyes. They were quite something.

”Don’t worry about. Just someone from a class pestering me,” Dick commented as he then placed his phone back on the night stand. Reaching over to get it on to it first.
He glanced at her and then the food that had been brought in. as she spoke. Then he laughed when she tried to hold a grape out for him. He brought his hand up and shook his head as he said,”No thanks. I’ll eat a bit later. I’m not really hungry.”
He just felt it was too early in the morning to really eat at that time. That and he had something else on his mind a bit. Just slightly thinking over last night and now having to think about how he was going to get back to his place and all.
Dick looked at the clock. He sat up more and removed most of the covers. ”Might as well stay up now. Once the phone rings in the morning. It’s won’t be the end of it for the day,” he spoke as he swung his legs out and off the bed as he sat up now.
He leaned forward and ran his left hand through his hair as he grabbed his phone again with his right. He wasn’t sure why he had set it down in the first place. But he found himself searching for any messages sent from Barbara. But there was still no notice from her.
”Mind if I use your shower,” Dick asked. This was still her place and he didn’t feel it right to just get up and acted like he lived there. Seeing as she was trying so hard to make him feel comfortable.

With the reassurance from Dick. Kory smiled half content. Kory wasn't liking someone else pestering him. As her green eyes watched him place the phone done. But, the day was ripe for New York today. So if not now. Kory was sure she'd cause him to smile and really just enjoy a bitter sweet moment. Hmmm, maybe more. As her tamaranean mind wandered. As then the grape didn't get taken. In half sort of raising the white flag, he turned it down and Kory ate it instead. Later. She rang in her head. Bobbing it a little in response with a pleasant smile. Pulling the tray from his side, happily. Brushing her hair to the side. As she took to eating some more fruit. They just didn't have this kind of stuff on Tamaran. Although Tamaranean food, well. It was just amazing. Although no Candy Floss. Soon. Soon. Very soon. As the little butterflies fluttered inside. The quiet drive though should be quite nice. As she looked over to Dick now quietly. Observing him. Just trying to feel something, but he just wasn't in the mood. Or more avoiding something. Yet something was there. It was just a matter of time. Just from little signs. Mostly by the way he looked at her. Kory could catch the moment when his throat was caught and dry, seemingly for more than one reason.
"Sure thing... Besides, Dick we've got a whole carnival to snoop out for food... We might want to pace ourselves depending on the rides..."
Responding happily with a sweet smile. As her hand gently hugged her knees. Expressing the upcoming day at the carnival and all the food there. It was probably wise not to fill up. Candy Floss was a must. As she softly giggled. Childish? Sure! It had been sometime away from Earth, her home. From Carnivals, from the fun and Candy Floss as well. Somehow she just liked it. It was sweet and disappeared like magic, plus it looked pretty. Smelled pretty. Half drooling as eat a bite from a strawberry. Blushing gently and smiled. Looking back. Kory was sure. Well generally he did. Need fun himself. A chance to get out of Gotham and back to a place in time once called home. Held the fond memories and so much promising dreams. Her green eyes crossed slightly as Dick mentioned his phone. The day? She wasn't about to let it spoil the day, but when ever was she the persuasive kind.
"It won't be much longer, we'll be on the road and things should calm down... I think be safe to say you could turn it off by then. I think Gotham is good, in Batman's hands. Don't you have one of those buzzing buttons..."
Kory trying to reassure Dick that only a bit longer and then they'd be taking that drive. They'd be out of action, least for Gotham, but with The dark Knight and handful of others. It was probably safe to say, Gotham wouldn't crumble. He could afford to relax. Really relax. Whether he expressed it as much as Kory did, she knew quite well he also had quite a spot for New York. Her eyes looked around spotting the Nightwing suit. Before smiling. She was sure he still had a communication device. Of some sort. Knowing he probably wouldn't truly relax not having something. Silent as he grabbed at it again. Frowning a little. Affections were somewhat best to something with arms. Taking her attention back to the food. Before Dick mentioned showering. Kory smiled softly at his manners. She respected politeness quite a lot.
"Of course you can, make yourself at home..."
Kory pleasantly replied. With her, wherever she was. Dick would have a home. She'd never turn him away. They had lived as friends before as more as everything. She couldn't let her Robin just peck for seeds on the streets. She smiled. It was too early for this as her mind wandered childishly, The shower it was his. As continued eating some of the breakfast. Whilst picking up the tray and taking back to the table in the kitchen. Pulling at her night shirt a little. With a sweet smile to let him do his thing. As her bare feet sped her way a little and her hair faintly trailed red until she took her seating.

”Yeah it does. I can put it on a silent alarm. And I know Bats can handle Gotham. It’s coming back and hearing that something went down that I should have been there to help handle, that I don’t want to hear. He’s already getting on my case about not losing focus lately after the little mishap with that Ivy woman,” Dick replied as he sat there on the edge of the bed.
He kept focus since then. Improving and watching his back. He didn’t need to be set up like that again. Once was enough. And those vines where a problem he would solve the next time he had an encounter.
Dick rubbed his eyes a bit to try and bring himself from the sleep that still wanted to keep him down. And at Kory’s answer to his question, he knew the answer was coming. Kory was always caring. He hadn’t known her to really turn down someone asking for something that was needed.
”Thanks, Kory,” Dick said as he smiled at her as she walked out of the room with the tray. Dick waited a moment and glanced at his phone. Wondering if he should call her. Not knowing how Barbara would react. She hadn’t answered lately or let alone called. He just wasn’t sure.
Dick then stood up and headed toward the bathroom. Once in, he shut the door behind him and pulled the shirt off he had been wearing leaving it on the floor. He walked over to the closet that was in the bathroom and grabbed a towel. Then placed it the hook outside of the shower as he removed the rest of what he had on and got into the show and turned on the water.
He stood underneath the warm water that was now coming from the nozzle of the shower head. He’d take his time that morning. Take the chance to just relax and not worry about things for a moment. Ducking his head under the water to soak his hair as he stood in the water that was now pouring down on him.
There was no true escape from his mind though as it ran through questions of what ifs and what then. He just wanted to shut down his mind and relax. Not have to think about anything that was going on at all.
Meanwhile, his smartphone buzzed and a small ringer went off. Someone was calling for him. Though Dick could not hear the sound of the phone over the shower and the door being shut. The caller id showing BARBARA GORDON on the screen of it as it continued to ring, going unanswered.

As Kory's head was lowered. Her attention mostly to the food. She smiled to hear his first coming words. Silent Alarm. Kory breathed it would do for now. The last thing she needed to do was push him and have him worried the whole time they were. Worrying about something really he shouldn't. Maybe worry the normal amount, but to the great extent she knew he was capable of. As her smile slowly faded as his words slipped his mind. How Bruce was still putting blames of the past upon Dick. Shaking her head slightly with a faint frown. Still he was opening up and she couldn't help smile. He thought to much sometimes. Putting the tray a side for the moment. She put herself close to him. Kneeling on the bed. A gentle hand on his shoulder. She wouldn't let him ruin this day and she most certainly wouldn't let Bruce ruin it either.
"I can always fly us back. We're no good to the world if we burn out or have clouded minds. We have to rest... I need to put the past months behind me.. New York was like a home, once upon a time... Today your mine Mr Grayson. Smiles and all..."
Kory reassured she could fly back if something bad truly happened. Not like New York or anywhere else in the world didn't have it's problem, but the world wouldn't wait for them. Though going in with a clouded head. Not living, but half dead wasn't going to make things any better. Especially for someone as human as he. Although he quite a stamina. He was a great fighter and all in his head wasn't going to help anymore than perhaps harm him. Last night was the first time she didn't see Tamaran explode. Or her parents and people's screams. As her eyes softened telling him with a gentle hand on his shoulder. Through it all what ever happened, she was also here and right now she quite needed this. She needed him, but she didn't need to push that. With so much death, she just wanted to live. Feel connected again. Her hand moved to his chin. with a gentle finger so she may look in his eyes. Trying to make him see more positives. That this. This was a good thing. Once there, she knew he'd relax. He was relaxed last night. Even this morning. It felt good, she knew that feeling. That's all she wanted for him. If anyone deserved that more. It was him. As she expressed joyfully his smiles. As her cheeks glowed happily. Before lightly tapping him on the nose, for doubting her. For trying to bring down the mood. Today. This day she needed. She'd waited for and whether he knew it. He needed. More than he knew. To truly feel alive. There was no greater feeling.
As Kory bubbly then hoped of the bed and took the food with her. Sitting upon the chair at the small dining table as the sounds of water gushed. Echoed. It was relaxing out here. He would soak this up. That Kory knew. He just felt guilty to feel this sort of thing, greatly at least. As if he didn't deserve it. He did. He so did. It's Bruce's fault, he was like a father and quite in her opinion abused that title. Used Dick's emotions at given times. Though he was great in making Dick a hero. Oh so Great and Kory understood the discipline of battles, but he quite possible forgot Dick was also a man. Someone with a heart like his. It was only a matter of time before he would set out to find a place of love. If he wasn't getting it some where else. So the titans. Breathing deeply as Kory fondly remembered. Her cheeks glowed she would see the tower again. Just to visit would be a good thing. To respect what was and then try that change thing, these humans did so often. Kory smiled. Hopefully with Dick. As she picked at her food. Because quite honestly she wasn't sure she could so easily do that alone. With Tamaran gone and the titans. Dick in love with someone else. It was a little harder to find her place back on this world, but she was sure she was getting there. Even if not all humans would accept her. There was no law against killing aliens on this planet. Right there was a reason she couldn't probably ever feel greatly at home, but she wouldn't let it stop her from trying.
Then came the Buzzing. The Calling. Yet Dick was in the shower. As Kory got to her feet and pick enough speed. To catch the phone as it rang the second time. She didn't look at the screen. Dick was still in the shower. He was peaceful there and perhaps stop the pestering from these people he had told her. Tell them he had a date with a supermodel in New York and she didn't like to be pestered with. Bringing a smile to her lips. She'd be kind about it. As she fiddled until finally she answered the cool. 'Greetings.. If you've called to pester Mr Grayson. He's getting ready for a day out with me. I don't like to be pestered.' 'He what?'.'Oh sorry, I thought.. Who... Is this?' 'Barbara' 'Oh, hi Barbara. I don't believe we ever had the pleasure. How are you? I, ah. sorry about that I thought you were...' 'Where is Dick, he never came home? I'd like to talk to him' 'Oh yeah it was late and rather dangerous, so he stayed the night. He's currently preoccupied to come to the phone. He's in the shower... I can give him a message.' 'No... No, I got the message....' 'Ok... Ah, Hello?' Kory then heard dead silence and Barbara had hung up. Before she could even tell her it was Kory. Perhaps was in a hurry. Yet in her tone. Something was off. Perhaps they were as split up as she had thought. As his kiss had expressed last night, perhaps this was why his mind was cloudy. As for a few minutes she held the phone. She didn't like being caught if this was what she was meant to feel. As her eyes darted between the phone and the bathroom door. Would this ruin their plans? She really could do the friends thing? Though there was just something in the fact that he had kissed her last night. She had wanted to, but she avoided it. Because of this. There Barbara said not to give him a message, but she could least let him know there was a call. This was something best faced than avoided. That she knew. So he best can be true with himself and Barbara. Kory would survive. Then clutched the phone slightly to her chest. As her hand rattled at the bathroom door. Her hand turning the handle.
"Dick! Dick!... It's just me... Um... You had a call, I really don't know how to work these things very well... But maybe it was just a wrong address or something."
Kory spoke trying to be comforting as she entered the misty room so not to freak him out so he didn't drop the soap or worse himself. As her hand kindly picked up the towel. If he want to check it now and well it was giving her something to do. Otherwise she'd leave the phone here if he preferred to wait a bit. As her heart pounded a bit. Mostly confused. What had happened? What was happening? This would make more sense if people would open up. Said how they felt.

”It’s fine,” Dick said. ”I’m sorry I don’t mean to rain on your parade. It’s just there’s a lot on my mind lately since the disappearance of Jimmy. And now the disappearance of Jason.”
He looked as her as she raised his chin with her fingers. ”A night off might help to clear my mind a bit. I haven’t had down time since my recovery. Even though that wasn’t long ago,” he spoke to her.
And waited as she left the room to carry on with moving on with his day. It was an early start, but more time to relax hopefully for the day,
As the water of the shower hit against him, he could hear a faint wrapping at the bathroom door. Though it didn’t last long before the person who had tried to be polite had opened the door. He knew it was Kory of course. But wasn’t sure what was up until he heard her voice.
With the water still running, Dick focused his attention on Kory’s words knowing she was now in the bathroom. ”It would have been the wrong number, Kor. Address is for houses,” he said out jokingly to answer her at first.
”Did the caller id say who it was when it was ringing,” Dick asked her. He wondered who would have been calling. There were only a few people that would really contact him at this time in the morning. And he was hoping it would be someone important that he needed to talk to if he needed to get back to them. He really was wondering what was up lately with everything. And he really needed to talk with Barbara.
Dick didn’t bother to stop the shower. He’d hear Kory out and see if she had known who it was. If not no big deal. But he’d probably stop and check the phone for himself. He just didn’t like this sitting and waiting around for others to contact him when he couldn’t get a hold of them.

Kory sat there calmly as Dick Spoke. Missing? Jimmy! Jason! It was making sense now. Well, most of it. Looking at his eyes, there was always so much more he was carrying, but she knew his heart if it was true they were really missing. Especially Jason. As Kory's hand gently brushed his hair. Always taking the heat of the blame, when it highly wasn't the case, it wasn't his fault. How does one know one will disappear? Things may have been easier had Kory known earlier of her betrothed, but no somethings just happen that way. You take them as they come. She would help him with finding Jason, but not at the risk of ruining all their lives. What good were they if they got destroyed in the process. Trying to gently sooth his mind as she rolled her eyes playfully as he apologised. That really wasn't what she was expecting. He needn't apologise for opening up to her. Then he was slowly coming to the idea of the chance to relax. Kory could almost see the change in his eyes.
"You don't need to apologise, Dick... I remember Jason, he was a sweet kid, We both know what you would expect if it were you in Jason's position... Now that's the spirit. It's not about fun all the time, Dick. More balance, for a peace of mind. Believe me everyone around you will thank-you... You don't alway have to be who Bruce wants you to be. The world needs Dick Grayson.. When we're back I'll help you find them, you don't have to do it alone."
Kory spoke comfortingly. Before leaving the room and eventually coming back. To answer the unexpected call from Barbara. It well yeah. Confusing. As now Kory tapped her feet together shuffling a little in the bathroom. Trying to make sense enough to tell Dick, but Barbara said not to. It. No Kory wasn't wanting to be in the middle of anything. As the water ran. The room was well getting heated up. Perhaps it was just Kory. Her cheeks blushed gently to hear Dick's voice. Joking about her little mishap, because her mind had a little a lot of things running. For houses! Right! At least he was amused, a good mood would make things easier.
"Oh... I... Must have gotten confused... I do think I recall... There was a B.. and an A... Maybe Batman. Must have been Bruce."
Kory said lightly as her hand nervously ran a little in her hair. With the towel in hand. Then with Dick's questioning. It was true she hadn't seen the screen. So it wasn't a total lie. This just wasn't her thing, she wasn't really good at it. Lying. As Kory then half walked back out the door. As she came at her words. Least trying to recall she saw a B. Also an A. Batman. She sure that be able to work. Not really realising he probably wouldn't have Bruce in his phone under Batman, but well phones just wasn't something Kory really had a lot of dealings with, least for some time. As Kory's voice sounded almost reassuring that it must have been Bruce. It would seem important enough, but maybe not ruin his shower. As Kory lingered in the bedroom, just near the bathroom door. Feeling the little butterflies of another kind. She just hated lying, but she was told not to forward a message. Yet Kory knew there was something wrong. She just didn't really know what or understand it. Trying to play over the excitement of New York, but she was slightly more now concerned.
