Trapped in such a dark, confined space with Nora and without much else to do, Victor can't help but reflect on the events of this evening. He only hopes that it doesn't get any worse from here on out, though it's difficult for him to even contemplate anything worse than what happened almost two hours ago, according to the internal clock on his suit. Anything worse than seeing Nora in the hands of someone who would threaten her life in order to force his cooperation is too horrible for him to contemplate. At least it was someone who indeed spared her when he gave up the fight. The fact that he'd angrily sworn that he would not only kill the man who harmed her but ruin his entire organization may have played a part of that, but then again it might not have - such an oath of vengeance coming from Victor most definitely means something and by reputation the other man probably knew that, but then again the man was so arrogant that he might not have cared.
But that's not really all that important right now - what's important is that Nora is safe for the moment, though he has no idea how long that will last. When he'd surrendered, he'd been ordered to enter this place - it's some sort of a small shipping container of some sort. Nora was locked inside with him, which has been some comfort, but he has no idea what's going on now. There are no windows - in fact, the only light is the glow of the instruments of his suit, and that isn't very much. He could turn on his headlamp, but that would be a bit much in such a small space, and until the container is opened again there is nothing to see anyways. It's also difficult to hear what's going on outside because all of the sounds are greatly muffled, though he's guessing that the sounds have been mostly the roar of some sort of an engine, though there are quieter moments where he's pretty sure that he heard indistinct voices.
What he does know is that they're being taken somewhere - the container has been tilted and jostled about. If he were to guess, they put the container on a truck, and then a ferry, and then another truck or perhaps a helicopter? It's difficult to say, but the movements of the container have been violent enough that he hasn't simply been standing in place - instead he's been taking advantage of the strength of his suit to hold himself in place, and has also been keeping a hand on Nora to ensure that she doesn't get tossed around either - she'd probably survive that much less well than he would given the fact that she is not incased in a hard suit as he is.
Of course, during their journey to who knows where, he's considered the possibility of attempting to smash his way out. The metal container has thick walls, but he could possibly do it. But he decided not to, explaining his reasoning to Nora in an attempt to comfort her somewhat. "Whoever these people are, they're taking great pains to take me alive, so wherever we are going, we do not need to fear death. I have few actual enemies, so this is unlikely to be an action against me - no, they want something from me. It is probably safest to wait and see what they want, and then decide what to do when we know what that is. And no matter what happens, my beloved, I will protect you," he'd stated. Though he wouldn't blame Nora if she now has a doubt or two about his ability to protect her, after what happened.
And though of course he'd never speak of it to Nora, he's extremely worried - he's quite certain he's never met the man who confronted him before, so he hasn't the slightest idea what the man could want. He's experienced enough in his life to be confident in his abilities, but there's a lot of unknowns here and the fact that Nora has been dragged into it is most concerning. But no matter what his thoughts are about the situation, he can do nothing but wait and see what happens when the doors finally open.
After what seems like an eternity, in spite of his suit's clock's insistence that it's only a little later in the evening than it was when they started, the motions of the container stop - and this time for long enough that he suspects that they may have finally arrived at whatever their destination is. But this is not confirmed until a clattering by the doors indicates that they're being opened. "Stay behind me," he warns Nora, placing himself between her and the doors and pulling his gun from where it attaches to his leg. But when the doors creek open, there is nobody at the entrance. Puzzled by this, now he does turn on his headlight, but after squinting through the sudden brightness, he sees that there is indeed nobody there. Suspecting that something is up, he moves forward slowly to investigate, but when he steps fully out of the container he doesn't see anyone - they must have open the doors and then immediately left.
But when he looks around that observation becomes a footnote to everything else that he can see. He's been a Gothamite for a very long time and he knows the city's landmarks, so he only needs a few moments to identify his general location. Especially since one of the features he can see some distance away is an extremely high wall. "We're in Arkham City," he says, just loud enough for Nora to hear. This is Park Row, inside the walls.
Which is really quite astonishing for him - he didn't know where they were being taken, but he never expected this! And it's very, very bad, for reasons that all too quickly come to mind. A spotlight suddenly shines on him from overhead - one of the patrolling helicopters has noticed him, though it moves along very quickly. But in spite of this surprise, he's quick to pull his wits about him, so he glances back to Nora and simply tells her, "Stay close to me." Because he doesn't like the position that they're in - it's too much out in the open. They're in some sort of a plaza, and anyone who might be around can definitely see them - even before he decides what else to do, he should take Nora to somewhere less conspicuous. And then he can figure out what to do next - because right now he doesn't have the slightest idea.
