Why would she resist a man she'd loved since she was seventeen? Her head lolled back to the wall, her neck bared to him. An action no doubt she'd laugh about later on.
Her hands tightened in his hair as he pressed closer to her. And then he tugged the hem of her negligee, and she echoed that primal sound in her throat.
"Don't rip..." She'd murmur, yanking his head up so she could see his face. They were too close for her to remove the threadbare ballet top, but she wasn't worried as her hands ran along his jaw, thumbs brushing his cheeks as she pressed her mouth to his again.

He did not ignore the opportunity to devour her neck as he pleased but a moment later his head was yanked back and he loosened his grip on the neglige.
But... but.... its in the way.
Then another though crossed his mind. He broke the kiss and looked up at Selina, his voice a hushed whisper.
"Uh, hey, Charlotte, she's probably at the door..."

Wait wait. What was he doing. Sighing irritably when he broke the kiss, the sting of parental guilt flooded her at the mention of Charlotte. Of course he'd remember that.
"Shit. I need to talk to her. Let her know we're ok. That she's ok..." Her eyes glazed for a second as she ran through what to say, and how to say it to the teen. Squirming against him, she wanted to get down, and wanted desperately to stay pinned against the wall, too.
"Theo. Let me talk to her, or us. And get your shoes on. Let me grab your phone. We need a soundtrack..." She's murmur, her mouth on his ear as she slung her arms around his shoulders.

Harvey did exactly as she said, finally smiling a bit at her mouth at his ear. He let her down and went to get his shoes and tossed her his phone.
"Do what ya gotta do, baby."
He grabbed his hat and put it on.

She was shaking slightly as her feet hit the plush carpet. Thankfully her crutches were within arm's reach, and a pair of ballet flats close by. As he tossed her his phone, she tossed it back with a laugh, realizing what she'd said. "Grab my phone for me?" She laughed, before going to open her door and sit beside Charlotte.
"Well, that went a bit better than I expected. And yeah, there was some shouting, and Theo was stupid and wasted a nice bottle of rye I'll clean up later, I can promise that things are ok. It's just difficult when people you really care about, get told you have another life by someone you mutually dislike." If the girl had any questions, Selina would answer them in kind before pulling her in for a side-hug. "I'm sorry we disturbed you. If you want, I can call you out sick from school." She know Kit puts up with it for her sake with the touchy crap, and even so, Selina pushing back a lock of hair from the teen's face.

Harvey went to the bathroom for a moment, catching his phone. He shrugged at the broken bottle and continued to the mirror for a moment. He looked at himself for a long minute or two before he knelt down and began to pick up the larger pieces of glass of the broken bottle.
Within a couple of minutes he'd have a towel and would be wiping it all up.

When the white noise thingy starts up, Charlotte sighs loudly to herself. But not so loudly that they'd hear her over the stupid white noise. And Selina said she could eavesdrop - yeah, right...
But in spite of that and the fact that she really is quite tired, like she said she's not going to be able to sleep now. No, it's not because anything that she saw or heard already disturbed her so much as she's just overall frustrated by... everything. She's in a difficult spot, really - she's been unknowingly thrust into a very tricky situation, and is doing the best she can with it. And she doesn't have the luxury of approaching it from the trusting ignorance of a child who would simply do as they're told, but she also doesn't doesn't have either the understanding or the respect that she'd have if she were an adult. Instead she's in an awkward in-between where she can't sit back and believe it will all be okay, but she also has a really hard time in her attempts to do anything else - especially when she feels like everyone puts up road blocks whenever she attempts to do so.
Being a teenager just plain sucks. Being a teenager handling crazy shit is even worse.
So no, she's not going to be able to sleep, or move for that matter, even if she can't hear anything. She has plenty of her own thoughts to stew in, thank you. Though it isn't that long when a sound catches her attention. A raised voice - Selina's. But she can't quite make out the words. Stupid white noise... It's not fair! Yes, maybe the conversation has nothing to do with her, but it definitely matters to Selina. And if it matters to Selina, then it matters to her too! And she's supposed to, what, wait here and hope she gets a summary later? Probably a carefully edited one. God, this is frustrating! She just wants to know what they're talking about - is that a crime? Is she really that sure she trusts Selina when she said it's nothing that will affect her? The doorknob to Selina's room is so tempting... but no, she'll resist that. It wouldn't do anything but make them angry at her, never mind that she's just concerned about Selina...
Because of course she's concerned about Selina - the woman is one of the best things that has ever happened to her. And then she finds out that she's Catwoman. Yes, she realized that Catwoman has been prowling around for years and is still alive and well, but she's not blind to the fact that it's a dangerous thing - that it means that the odds of her waking up to find out that Selina is forever gone for one reason or another is much higher than she'd thought. The silence after that vaguest of hints that something was happening in there is deafening. She forces herself to not read too much into it, but it's hard. Minutes tick by, when there's suddenly a yell - from Theo this time - and the sound of something glass breaking. And this time she hears the words, which causes her to frown at the door. Whatever that's about, she's pretty sure that whatever Selina is doing was perfectly justified and that Theo is over-reacting. Selina's response is much harder to make out, which causes Charlotte to sigh, but she just tries to keep her focus on listening for anything more. Perhaps surprisingly, she's not too concerned about Selina's well-being. Because, well, the woman is Catwoman, and the guy she's in there with is just a cop. And a 'friend'. Though Selina being Catwoman in general is a concern, she trusts that Theo on a rampage isn't a problem.
Though suddenly she gets something much more definitive than that - the door suddenly opens and Selina's sitting beside her before she can really react. Giving Selina an expectant look. Though the first thing that Selina says causes her to roll her eyes and say, "Yeah, I almost know the feeling..." The circumstances might have been a bit different, but it's not like things had gone perfectly smoothly when she'd found out either. "But everything's okay? Like, that fast?" she asks, because while they may be unaware of just how much time has passed since the bottle broke, Charlotte is very aware.
The rest of what Selina says brings a suspicious frown to her face. Call the school? What the hell? Over this? Pushing herself to her feet, she gives Selina a hurt look before turning toward her room. "Whatever, Selina. Whatever..." she mutters, going inside. She does manage to not slam the door, though.

"That fast..was not how I expected it to go down with him." She starts, gently running her fingers through the girl's hair. It's more for herself, but she is quite aware Kit will let her know when she's had enough. "I'm sorry about that. I wanted to tell you in my own way. Having to spring Batman, Nightwing, all of that on you was unfair. And it changes everything. You can't look at the world the same. And one of the hardest things is you learn to lie. So while I tried to set a good foundation for you, I am saying that I don't follow it, at the same time preaching and asking you to. It's a hard line to walk, especially at your age. And yeah, I am bringing up what I was like, but at your age, I'd already had a bad rap sheet, and was en route to Blackgate. I was not doing well. I'd lived on the streets, knew them well, and knew how to not get caught. And even though I had a bit of an intervention, I never gave it up. I just got better," she states. She's not trying to lecture the girl, just explain.
"So...for that whole ordeal last night, it was stupid. I acted on my heart, because I know the Joker. I was re-injured. And cut deeply. And tricked, in a way, because it was a sting, and yes, Joker was caught, but...I ignored every logical thing, and still went. And I feel stupid."
But because we've been friends for years. And because we tried to get through things yesterday and screamed more, and didn't finish because we had to work and be adults, is partially the reason that we were able to execute a very deep, but brief screaming match is, well, was one of the few true friends I had that wasn't aware. A haven. A man I'd kept this from, to save him from it. And to keep a bit of ...normalcy for myself. And to have that secret told by someone I had a very flimsy, yet respectable understanding with is a pain that still stings, and will for a while." Her voice is wavering at this point, but she's keeping it together.
"So I am sorry to have you sit out there. And I know we've gone through this, but it...it's bad form. But he trumped me with...some of his own stuff. He's done undercover work. Which....threw me for a loop. But I shouldn't have brought up his mother...which is playing dirty. Or..." She shrugs, recalling her screaming a few minutes ago.
"So I'd been keeping a logical, but stupid secret from a good friend, who understood," and still loves me, and always had. she thought lamely. "And now...considering it's mostly out of our system, and I'm out of cigarettes, we were going to head across the park to his place. I'll have my phone on me, same ol'. Not because I'm avoiding you, but, you know, respect." And the fact it breaks her heart that despite loving the teen, but not quite saying it yet, she's trying her damnedest to set up a good, solid foundation that is not-quite traditional, but is real. And to show Charlotte that even Catwoman has a heart. And even worse, she knows that there are some things that she can never share, because it truly is life, or death.
Releasing the girl, she's not quite ready for Charlotte's outburst. Or the severely hurt look before she quite impressively walks to her room, and doesn't slam the door. Shocked, Selina stands with the help of her crutches, and opens her own bedroom door, and leans against it, confused and questioning everything she's done in relation to the girl. If it weren't for her crutches, she'd be on the floor, no doubt.

Ugh, does Selina have to launch into her 'when I was your age' speech now? Charlotte forces most of her reaction to that to stay internal, but she can't quite suppress the slight lowering of her eyes. Though she does listen very carefully as Selina explains, trying not to fault the woman too much for the way she's explaining. It is, after all, very early in the morning, and no she didn't miss the scent of alcohol. Still, she can't help but notice that there's still a gaping hole of what's not being explained - either because Selina's avoiding something or is completely missing the point - and that really rubs her the wrong way. Especially since Selina is always preaching so hard about open communication and all that shit. Apparently it only goes one way...
Though that's not the only reason why she decides to just get up and leave without really responding. She's also ticked off by half a dozen other things and the hour is absolutely not helping. Maybe she would have stayed and confronted her on it or something, but this is just too much at once - it's better to simply sulk off now. Because she can apologize for doing that later (if she decides that she's sorry), while the other things that come to mind wouldn't be so easily fixed. Yes, she knows that alone is enough to upset Selina, who seems to like to try and fix everything immediately, but she also knows that she could hurt the woman so much more than that with the wrong bit of rash behavior. And if she's going to do that, she's gotta be damn sure that she really wants to.

Harvey came out to see how it was going with the other two. When he got there he heard a shutting door and saw Selina sitting on the floor looking quite upset. He offered a hand down to her to help her up so she would not have to rely on the crutches she looks at her as she leans against the door frame.
"Teenage girls are quite good at knowing how to leave ya confused and infuriated."
Harvey pulled Selina to him, his chin atop her head. He chuckled a bit.
"Also, I believe that door is made of pine, too."
He sighed and ran his fingers down through Selina's hair for a moment. He pulled back from her, looking down to her, his hands on her shoulders.
"You want to tag me in on this match? I think I gotta little more experience with this. You're new to this, and besides, you didn't have to deal with angsty Laverne."
He smiled to her a little, looking past her to the door way.
A moment later a knock came to Charlotte's door.
"Hey, can I come in?"

"I fail at this. Should I have just told her? Let her watch me scream about your mother and hear that you are a spy, and a cop? She already knows we're keeping something from her. And...she was so damn quiet leaving." As she was brought back to her feet she just let go of her crutches and leaned on him.
"I...don't know how to do this. I had it sprung on her about the Batfamily, just how Jack sprung it on you. I never got to tell her personally," blinking away the tears she sighed. "I had the streets. I had a cat in high school. You saw me. I just...I'm trying, but hard enough? I try to remember your mother." His fingers in her hair calmed her enough for her to shut up.
"Would you? And she was always a shit. I wasn't..." she hadn't been around for those years with Verne. She'd never say it out loud, because it was a given with most folks, but of the three girls, Verne was a favorite.
And with the emotion and drugs in her system blending, she was a hot mess of nothing rational.
"She may, or may not be as receptive, but I'd owe you for this. Thank you." She had probably never loved him more in this moment. She kissed him on the lips before going over to sit on her bed, and disturbing the ball of fluff there. If this is what she had to look forward to, someone there to help when she was clueless, maybe she could get used to it.

Fuming, Charlotte throws herself across her bed and buries her head into her pillows. Pillows are such wonderful things when she's angry - she can smother and strangle them all she wants! Though it doesn't seems like she's been doing that for very long when there's a knock on her door.
Pulling her head out of her pillows, she scowls at the door - why does he want to talk to her now? "I'm changing clothes!" she lies easily, as that's far more likely to keep him out than the truth.

"Oh, I'll wait. While I'm here... You alright? You got somethin' you wanna talk about? Hmmm? I'm good at listenin' ya know. I gotta listen to people tell me what the hell happened at crime scenes all the time."
He put his ear on the door for a few seconds.
"You gonna keep layin' there and pretendin' to be changin' or let me in. Like I said, I'm good at listenin', kiddo."

"No!" Charlotte answers petulantly, answering not just his questions with the one word, but also his entire line of thought. No, she's not alright, but no she doesn't want him to do anything but go away. Because if he wants to see not alright, if he comes in her room she'll give him not alright!
But though he basically calls her out on her lie, she doesn't respond to it - she simply silently glares at the door. If he wants to call her on her bluff, then he's going to have to do it properly instead of merely making accusations through the door.

Harvey rolls his eyes and steps inside. He looks over to her, shutting the door behind him. He looks around for a chair, but ends up sitting on the edge of the bed, looking at the floor for a moment before looking over to her.
"So, you're pissed. Dish kid. Maybe we can get this all worked out."
Harvey pats the spot at the edge of the bed next to him, beckoning her to come sit beside him.
"C'mon, come chat with me. I'm sure you got at least somethin' you'd like to talk about, but if its boys all I'm going to tell you is no, they're idiots."
Harvey chuckled, but then gave her a glare letting her know that he was dead serious.
