What exactly was she doing up here? Let’s just say that small obsession regarding the vigilantes of Gotham City had escalated rapidly over her years as a reporter. While everyone knew basic qualities that those who claimed to both patrol and hinder the city possessed, there was so much mystery that just begged to be uncovered. Finding herself far too preoccupied in search of such stories to report on her popular television shows, she failed to actually enjoy some of the other aspects of her life. In fact, today she had finally managed to squeeze in a bit of light jogging between her hectic schedules. Of course, she was always sure to carry at least some form of recording device at all times. With an arsenal of the latest technology in cameras, recorders and a wide array of devices, it was a rare occasion when one wasn’t paired with her. Even now, she had brought a simple but durable digital camera in case she might have wanted to take pictures of some of the scenery that she passed on her job. However, Summer quickly found something else to record. From her hiding spot, she may not have had the best angle, but she certainly did have a view of the scene before her. However, something was peculiar about this fight. She had witnessed a great deal of conflicts and confrontations between vigilantes, but this one certainly didn’t appear to be drawing such a crowd or causing a great deal of destruction. Still, it was footage that she could use for a later basis. The redhead was inching to get closer, unable to hear exactly what the two women were saying. Knowing she certainly didn’t want to be seen after her last encounter with Catwoman, Summer was literally lying on her stomach to prevent from being seen. notes: sorry for the wait! Thankfully the cool air was tempering the workout both women were getting. Even as Starfire frosted over, the cool moisture would melt. It was beautiful in it's own way. And she'd pay more attention to it if she wasn't 'fighting' Starfire. And aside from that fact, whomever was filming, or even observing them was on the short end of her leash. She did not like the press. Her life, she strove to keep private, even as Catwoman.
So as the two played a close game of Cat and Mouse, Selina felt her breath caught by the precision of her friend's movements, a seemingly well placed punch missing her barely. Another flick of her whip, but calculated enough that it would seem to go at the flame-haired woman, but not harm. It was a fantastic feigning of power, considering they were within range, but not. And if she was hit by Starfire? Another night in the life of Catwoman.
And even as she dropped to their new fighting area, the golden woman was right on her heels, a playful taunt ready at her lips. Catwoman only smirked, and cracked her whip again as their little spar brought them closer and closer to the streets with each turn.

If there was ever frost and for sure there almost was. Dancing ever so, grazing the tops of fingertips, with the tamaranean's hot golden skin, it all, but boiled off. Leaving the faintest puffs of smoke, perhaps almost mistaken for her breath, alas she almost was breathing fire. Maybe it was just so if it was not oxygen, that also led to the deep burning desire inside, not quite over heated, after all, this was almost like looking within the eyes of a friend. Of Selina, but Starfire wasn't completely just sailing, she did after all still have a competitive side… As far as the glory? Starfire honestly really didn't seek it, merely accepted when it was there, when she was set upon something it mattered little to nothing who was watching or not. It would not hinder her reputation, then again neither really would be to put down the weapons and instead hold hands of friendship with Catwoman, but apparently that would be too much for some. Rather that truly understand it, Starfire merely accepted it and more so accepted it as a little bit of fun. With the hint of brutality, but really it would be mostly smokes and mirrors.
The faint trail of fire was not far behind, almost on toe as the Catwoman decanted. Leading Starfire into the fight, aiming for the streets? The dark and shadows? Perhaps miss Kitty did feel more at home. As the tamaranean caught the smirk of the Kitty, as well as the flicking of her whip, almost like a tail. Something Starfire didn't quite have, unless one considers it made of fire, but then this little kitty couldn't exactly fly or could she? As the whips blocked Starfire just enough from the blowing impacts from her fists. The whippings were lessened, but the tamaranean allowed them, leaving a marks that soon evaporated from Starfire's smouldering skin. The sound cracked near her ear and echoed with only the faintest of memories, but this… As Starfire eyes brightened and with a single step forward. Relinquished her defines of starbolts. A couple aimed, but ricocheted of the whip. Others grazes the Catwoman's infamous suit, before crashing somewhere into the surrounding walls and the floor. Causing cracks. Breaks and ultimately a lot of dust. In a fight somethings gotta break. Starfire aimed more pointedly at Catwoman's feet. Perhaps knocking her off them… Not quite expecting her to drop, yet not surprised. Just how many lives did she have. Lucky Starfire only ever needed one.
The tamaranean stepped off to the edge, eyeing the path. The trail, she was confident enough she wasn't so much the mouse in this situation. Not unless mice could fly. As with natural jump from the ledge. Starfire flew without gravity ever dictating her every move. Leaving her natural moves to be absolutely free. Her fiery trail was not far from the black and pointy heels of Catwoman. She didn't flee to far before her attacks of the whip were regained. Coming out shift through the crisp cool air and calculatedly knocked Starfire in mid air. Causing a natural toss backwards and her shoulder to graze into the buildings. Tweaking it ever so slightly, but nothing that couldn't pop right back in. With subtle grit of Stafire's teeth and speed up in mid air. As eyes danced and waited the whip. Then it came again. Almost whether intentionally or not to bind around Starfire's wrist. Whilst the weapon was durable, just how strong was it against a tamaranean. As Starfire with the flinched of her strength. Pulled her arm back and in attempt to maybe see if a Catwoman could indeed fly. No doubt she'd be able to land on her feet.

Summer jumped with each threatening crack of Catwoman’s whip. It sounded as if it were so close – though both women were really a great distance away from her. They continued to move towards the ever-so-crowded streets of Gotham and the nosy reporter followed almost hungrily towards the action. Her green eyes displayed a great deal of excitement as she continued to record the footage with surprisingly good clarity considering the small device she was using. Sure, it wouldn’t match up to the ability of the cameras that she spent hours every day smiling in front of, but it was sure to do the trick. Still trying to maintain a bit of a distance so that she wouldn’t be caught in the crossfire but still continue to have a great view, the stealthy reporter managed to find herself a cozy little position on the rooftop as she no longer was forced to remain on her stomach. The redhead zoomed in a bit more, taking a brief moment to capture the reactions of others that seemed to be fortunate enough to witness the scene at hand. The destruction so far to the city was minimal, but that was what she intended to focus on. Despite how obsessed the young reporter was with the masked vigilantes that roamed the streets – she was still on the cities side at the end of the day, and the destruction had not gone unnoticed. The redhead decided to get a closer view, and hurried down the fire escape as fast as her feet would carry her. She continued to record, clutching the phone tightly in fear that she might drop it and send the sleek device tumbling to its doom in the alley below. Once she arrived at the bottom, the view was not quite as good as it had been from the aerial perspective, but it did get her closer to the action. outfit: click to see!

Her aim had been good with her whip, but she hadn't expected Starfire to allow her to actually grasp her with the weapon. Her green eyes went wide behind her mask, the tug from the fiery woman's side rippling through the corded weapon. Instead of giving in to the tug, Catwoman instead relinquished her end of the whip, not allowing herself to be pulled in the heroine's direction. A wink was given as Selina backtracked, unaware of the pair of eyes recording their every move. She was focused, and hadn't quite planned on anyone catching their little 'fight.'
She hadn't exactly had time to discuss with Kory how they were going to end their little performance. Perhaps it would get them a bit of press with some sort of catchy title, but considering her loathing for any press, Selina would honestly rather have had the mock fight, than the speculation on why a thief and a heroine were talking to one another. So here they were, Catwoman's eyes trained on Starfire as her whip left her hands.

The little otherwise mock fight, was certainly going to leave somewhat of an impressive stamp… Not that either vixen was truly aiming at the heart, but perhaps they weren't exactly the type that did what they did, just simply for a fight. Perhaps a little more drove them… Even in the mindful cracks with the mighty whipCatwoman made, certainly laid aid to Starfire to know that. Starfire felt the brink of determination if left to be free… Not that Starfire was super encouraging that, merely going along. Feeling the challenge before her. With fire that burnt inside her, passion always, but less anger… Just the tidbit of excitement. Hmmm, and possibly just the hint of danger… Well, unexpectedness! As with little resistance Starfire allowed for the whip. Feeling a coil or two bind around her golden wrist. Starfire could even feel the hesitation through the vibrations driven from Catwoman's end. Almost shock! Sometimes one has to improvise, what could a tamaranean princess do with a whip? As soon as Starfire took a firm grip in her hand and a tug, Catwoman let go… Thankfully it didn't spring back for anything embarrassing to happen, merely forced Starfire a step back, maybe even two… With a light tug, Starfire pulled the now free whip and feeling now the full weight of the whip in her hand… It certainly could drive a chill of some kind up her arm, filled with hints of memories and emotions.
There was a time she drew for a sword and not her starbolts, even though that seemed more than half her life ago and yet it was still something instinctual… Even with a whip… Now, Now she was no Catwoman, well she was part feline, but thats a totally different story… Didn't play to long with the whip, before Starfire pulled it up, letting the length coil down and circled it in motion. Not to rusty, but this was a spur of a moment kind of thing. This was not a whip she couldn't say she had really used. Putting some more muscle in it. Starfire forced a extremely large crack in mid air. X'hal, thankfully did not break the whip, but almost perhaps broke Gotham. As it echoed and trembled through the city. Even made Starfire blush a little. Well, one could say she wasn't always one for subtly. Whilst little bits crumbled somewhere from the buildings above. Lightly, hopefully. As with that rather massive boost, Starfire cracked the whip with a little less muscle… Green eyes glowed upon the darkened feline on the prowl, well perhaps a little cornered right now? Eyeing almost the wall behind… If one ever knew about cats, that might not exactly be a good thing to do… The claws just might come out. With a subtle curl to her own lip. Starfire motioned towards the Catwoman, with an extra touch to the whip… With a decent amount of controlled force and energy. Cracked the whip with an added bonus of a starbolt, that trailed and sparked at the end… Perhaps more pointedly hitting Catwoman close, but hitting the wall… A rather spectacle as you will!

WThis fight was certainly…eventfully, but appeared never ending. For a young woman who lived in a very fast paced world, she never realized how much time could go into a story until her eyes panned to the corner of her phone that informed her how long she had been recording. It was nearly going on twenty minutes now, and the stamina and passion that each woman continued to show in the fight didn’t seem to die down for a moment. It made her wonder whether who would be the winner of the two. Obviously it was a two-sided duel and one was sure to come out on top. As she attempted to get closer, she didn’t mind if she put herself in the line of danger. After all she had gone to great lengths in search of a story and this was worth it. It was rarely that either woman was caught on the news with live footage, and it appeared that Summer Gleeson happened to be in the right place at the right time. Who would have thought that harmless jog could possibly turn into the biggest story of the year? However, it made the young redhead wonder, what actually fueled the fight in the first place? Had it been an intentional fight, some kind of vendetta or simply a spur of the moment ordeal? She couldn’t help but smoother her sound effects, gasping and cringing accordingly to each move. There was a limited view, but now she wasn’t trying to hide it. For a brief moment, she stopped recording and called the studio – which wasn’t to far from her location. The moment she got ahold of her second home, she began barking orders. “I need a camera. Send me someone that’s actually capable and fast. Not that fat ass that worked the Fireman’s ball. What?....I don’t care if he is the only one there….send me someone else. You won’t believe what I am seeing!” Hanging up after giving her location, she continued to record and hoping her crew would arrive before this epic battle came to a hasty conclusion. outfit: click to see!

She stood there for a moment, watching as her beloved weapon was wrenched from her clawed hands and used. As Starfire snapped it in the air, after carefully looking it over for a moment, she could feel the static in the air. And certainly feel the chill down her spine like a cool finger.
It wasn't until the whip was cracked again, fused with lightening did she honestly question where this entire fight was going. A quick locking of eyes with the fiery Heroine, and a slight rolling over her shoulders did Catwoman glance about to her surroundings. Even if they were crumbling, she could get away. But without her whip, which also aided her in escape? Green eyes blinked. It would be out of character for her to not leave. And considering they were so close to being caught on film, she'd rather not have live proof of her little 'fight' with the Ravenhaired woman.
