The night was falling upon the city of Gotham. In the general masks of darkness. Filled with shadows and the possible sights of demons. It was certainly a time to perhaps more open ear. There of course something additional to the dark blanket. The snow. With still darkness, but also the blankets of snow throughout the city. From up above it looked like sprinkles of white on the building tops, like on mouton tops or even like the sprinkles on a cupcake. Just a slightly less sweet cupcake, but they did offer up the best viewing spots. Not just viewing spots. As the tamaranean princess, encased in her Starfire outfit and a trail of fiery red hair. Flew over the city, from below many may spot her and many may simply look up and see a star. Starfire was back from a titan trip, which had the new recruits pushed to some limits, but it certainly made them stronger and great results. They were really coming into their own. As Starfire could think simply and kindly of their youthfulness, they were prepared, it was still newer for them. It seemed not all that long ago that she'd almost been in such a situation… Starfire floated from the sky. Landed on top of a building. It was certainly was high up, but defiantly not the tallest. About five or six floors. Planted with her purple boots. Hadn't caught to much attention to herself. Starfire stood out, but she could occasionally blend. At least a little.
With a calm motion, Starfire lowered to sitting on the edge. Literally. Golden legs dangled over, her feet a few inches above the window, so there was less chances of a good view or potentially kicking someone in the head. Her kick is certainly the strong kind. Starfire had beeped in with the Outsiders. Mostly Arsenal. For now, Starfire was mostly on stand by or unless she herself saw something she felt needed her fists or starbolts. With this moment to chill out, Starfire had just flown. Perhaps in ways as a human would just jump in the car and drive. Flying was soothing. Relaxing and most of all it was freeing. It was natural as it would be for a human to breathe air. Just flew, thus perhaps flying into the central and heart of Gotham perhaps seemed out of place, but Starfire quite like the view. All the darkness. The cold snow. There was still lights scattered throughout. Movements of busy cars and the movements of humans. Life continued thriving as it did and of course the threat that would always linger to grab it. Take it and why there was always hope. Even in the smallest, most unusual places. Hope would always find away and Koriand'r could always fight for it to always conquer. She had seen a world…
Her world. As her green eyes escape over Gotham. She had seen Tamaran fall… Explode. Though so much she had pushed away… Forgotten, it wasn't truly. Starfire remembered carried the very reason, she wouldn't allow it to happen here. Even if she was a being such a place hadn't always welcomed… It was home… It was home. More so Bludhaven it seemed. As Starfire could muster up a smile as she sat with the almost stillness, whilst life moved on as it did below. Where was Nightwing? Physically and emotionally, Starfire couldn't truly be sure as she sighed… The distance. The drifting after more recent events, but there was still… The spark… The passion… The desire for him. So many memories… Good memories. As the negative thoughts and feelings shifted to more positive thoughts of some good memories. When they were young titans themselves. Sharing the night not just the fights. The loves, but often just simply the air. As if all other things didn't matter in a grasp of time. Nothing but them. The feelings. Starfire rested gently back on her hands. Circling her feet ever so subtly. Though she was alone and felt it, she did feel the element of peace. Tilting her fiery head back. Eyes open to the sky. The stars the city lights hadn't jaded. How many beings on this planet, truly knew where they were? Starfire knew just where in the universe, even if she didn't always knew where she herself stood. Earth was her home now, but she could still be reminded she was an alien without a world. Even when she did her own world banished her… Slowly Starfire closed her eyes and just soaked it in. Though there was no sun, her skin still felt and circled heat from rays from earlier in the day. Which left Starfire protected from the ill effects of the wintery world around her, but she could feel the tingle of coolness against her skin. Feel her heart thud through her chest and the many emotions cascading like droplets from everything she held most dear.

Now that was something to see. Kory, in the chill of the winter's night, in her outfit. Well, it was 'Starfire,' but Selina knew the women a bit better than just her costumed name. Even as she was braving the chilly night, clad in her standard black catsuit, she had known she wouldn't be able to stand it against the sub-zero temps for that long. But for this? She'd make the effort. A bit too much time had passed for her liking since the doomed double date where much more than polite conversation had taken place.
And much had passed in those few months. Slipping her goggles-cum-binoculars up to the crown of her head, Catwoman stretched slightly from her perch; several buildings away, and a bit higher than the Alien princess, but hell, it wasn't hard to miss the fiery woman.
The trek across rooftops was something to keep her warm, and passed in a matter of minutes. Creeping behind the woman with a casual elegance, Selina, in the guise of Catwoman, settled beside the super-heroine, her own booted feet dangling off the rooftop as well. "I don't know how you do it, Starfire. I wish I had hot blood like you did. It would sure make the Gotham Winter nights a bit more bearable." She teased slightly, a smile on her face. She had a few questions for her friend, but started off with a tease, as would her costumed counterpart. She hadn't been able to see anyone that would be watching them, so who cared what happened.
"It's been a while, and you and your paramour have been busy. Haven't seen you for a bit, how are you?" She offered, quietly pleased there was someone else out there that didn't balk at her fondness for edge of the roof perching, right on the cusp of nearly falling.

There was peace. Touch of happiness. Concern. Unsureness. All elements of emotions currently residing in Starfire. She certainly wasn't as confused like she had been in the first couple of months on Earth, but she was certainly residing a little in that area. Then perhaps it was natural even for a human. To question things… With a deepened sigh. As the tamaranean princess felt the stillness of the moment sitting above the building top. Eyes shut, despite the confusion at home. Things had been done. Said. There was least the relief of it being out there. She couldn't feel any more guilt in holding a secret. Secrets were wrong. Very wrong… How in the world she had even managed…. She could hardly imagine it now… Hardly no pitter patter of sounds of movement above came to her ears. Neither did she really feel any eyes upon her. It wasn't something new, she was use to it and more often ignored it. Although the familiar scent of perfume and self confidence, certainly tickled Starfire's nose. Opening her green eyes to the world. To Gotham. Starfire caught the approaching figure. Starfire couldn't say she was entirely on guard, but that seemed to be hardly required.
"Sel-Catwoman! Greetings"
To say Starfire was surprised was certainly a slight overstatement. A pleasant surprise none the less and perhaps the tamaranean should have expected the chance. At even glimpses of the city below and sensually around them. This was as much Catwoman's playground than it was Batman's. Peaking at possible shadows, but no Bats. Whether or not he truly was the stalking type. It hardly mattered. As the golden beauty smiled sweetly and greeted with an almost slip. Hmmm? As Starfire questioned. Hand shake? Wave? Hug? What was the custom for this situation? Was this possibly the first time she'd really come face to face with Catwoman. Perhaps at least the most intimate. Ah, still Starfire saw Selina. They weren't exactly hitched as girlfriends like Donna and Kory once were, but Selina was certainly in the circling girlfriend place. Naturally with just as much instinctual kindness, Starfire motioned for a simple form of embracing hug. Perhaps that little peck on the cheek. Mostly Starfire was content with the company… Settling back on the edge she sat. Ran a hand through her red locks that then fell down the length of her back, some tousled about her shoulders.. Before Starfire's hands dropped to her sides and mildly clutched the edge. At Selina's words about her skin. Which was literally so normal for Starfire, she couldn't help but smile at.
"Hmmm, yeah thats the benefits of be practically solar powered… I do feel the cold, just not always to the degree. Unless of course my energy is low… Tonight it is high… I can share a little!"
Starfire's cheeks glowed extra golden as she responded. Admitting to her self warming system to a degree. Lifting a hand to radiate a mild glow of a starbolt. With a little sparkle in her eyes, but not so much to brag about it. Drawing her hand back. It was the norm. Though as she put it simply, she wasn't completely numb to the cold weather. Certainly as she brushed off ice from the edge, Starfire would certainly favour the warmer weather. It made soaking in sun certainly a lot easier… If for whatever reason or however it was possible she'd feel more of the cold if she was drained of energy, though it was really rare that she'd ever be that drained… With extra beam in her voice. Eyes. Face. She was certainly feeling a lot higher with her energy. As eyes playfully eyed her friend in the cat suit. She'd really not seen it so close, it must have some insulation.. Offer enough protection, but why hog all the heat… With a small gesture, there wasn't a lot of space between, but Starfire scooted thigh to thigh. Of course Catwoman could refuse the approach. As Starfire motioned her arm closest to link it with her girlfriend and a little hand in hand. With the slightest use of energy swirling inside. Starfire projected heat through the close contact. Not too much, because that could be too much and Catwoman's suit as far Starfire knew wasn't fire proof. There was no desire to hurt her.
"Too long! I'm not really sure where he is either… I'm certainly feeling as good as I could be and better than I was, gratitudes for asking. Between, Titans, bludhaven of course and Outsiders. Its certainly kept things busy. Not to mention modelling in between. "
It seemed like months. Was it months? As Starfire agreed added a smile. Perhaps there was catching up to do. Hanging out to do. Simply chatting. Not that the company of Roy at home wasn't its own entertainment, but sometimes another females company is what's missing… At the mentioning of herself. Of Dick. She could gather a guess as to where he was. With he gaze moving from Catwoman, to the city of Gotham and possibly to the direction of Bludhaven. In truth she was meaning physically and potentially emotionally in her voice. It had been a little rocky surrounding, more she believed Dick was trying to give her just as much as space as he was giving himself. But, what moments she did find… It certainly was just another thing they needed to overcome… Together.. Before returning to Catwoman with a little more spark in her response as to how she was. She certainly couldn't complain, especially not regarding her health. She was feeling physically well. Sure her emotions were probably driving her more confused, but she wouldn't be herself if she did not feel every ounce of them. it was her nature.
"How are you? What brings you out on the prowl tonight? I've only seen this suit in newspapers and magazines. X'hal, hardly does it justice, nor anything Dick has described. I love it… Though I thought there was a whip?"
Warmly and most curious Starfire asked. She liked to think she was a very good listener. Last time she had seen her feline like friend, there was a little rough time with Bruce. Mr Bats. She certainly was hoping they were doing better now. Finding their lovesick feet. She playfully smiled asking about Catwoman's reason tonight. Although she was sure this was the kinda thing she should probably put her fingers in her ears, but with the hell with it. She was cool and good in her book. Shifted the comforting closeness. Whilst openly admiring the infamous suit. It was, certainly a look. A statement. As golden fingers warmly. Gently ran along the fabric on her arms. Her eyes frowned a little as she looked… Perhaps the whip was hidden. Surely it wasn't hidden like the many goodies in Nightwing's gloves, but then Starfire had seen much stranger things in her lifetime.

She had to laugh at the almost slip-up on behalf of the heroine she knew quite well. It was always new territory to traverse when seeing someone you knew well, in a different guise. Shifting to embrace the woman, and allow for such familiarities was fine with her. Catwoman did as she pleased, and whomever knew her, knew that she was on at least speaking terms with some of the 'capes.' And if her other friends weren't ok with that, they knew better than to speak ill of it.
She smiled at the other's admission of warmth. It would be something else to produce such firebolts and other effects at one's fingertips. And of course she wouldn't just turn away the offer of warmth. "There is some insulation, and I do appreciate it. Rarely am I still enough to ever need extra heat, but tonight, I do appreciate it." Especially considering they were both taking a moment to just observe the city, and weren't exactly running, or flying through it.
While it wasn't normal for her to keep friends so close; she didn't outright turn away the flame haired vixen. Perhaps she was a bit more like namesake than she dared admit. Getting close only when she wanted, and then keeping distance as needed, too.
Selina laughed, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "Keeping busy is always good. Being overly busy is never fun, it taxes one of all the energy you could be using on something more fun." As of late she'd been busy as well, but not to the point of high stress.
"Good. I'm busy with work, and life, planning for a new client. But this? It's a bit more insulated than more normal suit, but that is expected due to the weather. And yes, I do have a whip!" It was on her hip opposite Starfire, gloved fingers deftly unclipping it from her belt. It was a finely made whip; handcrafted for her in supple black leather, and several feet long. She had several for varying uses, but this was her favorite. Most didn't pay too much attention to her 'costume' considering she wasn't one of the more confrontational rogues out there. She also had a barely perceptible black belt with several pouches on it, and a leather shoulder bag; small, but large enough to carry a few things tucked inside.
"Tonight, well, I had a few errands, considering my nights have been kept busy off the rooftops." She added with a laugh in her voice. "I'm surprised you're not in Bludhaven tonight, and in Gotham. Any reasons there?" It was friendly banter between the two, considering it had been quite a few weeks since they had run into each other, on the streets, or on the rooftops.

Where stillness and aloneness had crept in. Around the building in which Starfire sat, it was now that little more warmer. Comfy if it could be, with the company. Not just any company. Catwoman. Selina. Starfire was sure delighted for the company of a friend and more intently a female friend. Not entirely girlfriends but close. That there was little hesitation as Starfire wiggled closer. Breaking the space and offered up her heat. Not a great deal, but enough to make it that little bit more cosy. There had been the near slip, doing and living this way of such secrets, it certainly could take its surprise on you, but Starfire had never fully slipped. Perhaps really right now it wouldn't of mattered. It wasn't like there was anyone else up here, but such masks were important to others. It could get a little confusing if you made excuses, although despite masks. Names. Starfire if she knew you, she could see you no matter what. Up above, she didn't have a mask. She was Koriand'r, princess of Tamaran, there was less ways to escape that anywhere else other than Earth.
"You are most welcome… Hmmm, insulation… I guess Nightwing has something similar. Apart from a few unavoidable moments."
With a sweet caring smile and the kind tone in Starfire's voice. She was content in sharing the heat. Could feel where the skin made contact, Selina's body certainly felt a coupled degrees warmer. Perhaps even a little more colour in her cheeks. Though Starfire was interested to hear about the insulation. These suits that it seemed many heroes carried, could truly do some extraordinary things in order to protect them. Particularly living with the titans, you defiantly pick up on that and 'upgrades' as was more pointedly to others… Surprisingly her own suit did offer protection, but her skin being exposed as it was, also offered protection. The more energy she soaked in, the stronger she was. She smiled at the comparison of Catwoman's suit to Nightwing's suit. Not something she could say she sat down and discussed with Nightwing. She did enough not to worry about turning into a snowman, although had been times when his suit hadn't always protected him. To which Starfire laughed a little, of course to the less damaging and just plain cuter moments, sometimes involved stripping him. She certainly could get him out of it faster than he could, apart from the one time Wally had bet her to it..
"Oh no, its certainly not been overly busy. In most cases the work is with friends… So fun finds its way. We did manage that surfing trip, that was fun. Christmas tree shopping… Which was mostly fun as always… Nightwing even picked out a tree."
As best as Starfire could reassure though it had been busy, it certainly hadn't stressed her out. Certainly had she been it hadn't been in result of being busy… With the added smile Starfire gave, because in many cases. Whether Titans. Outsiders or even her modelling work. There was some surroundings of friends and to Starfire that usually came with some level of fun. Whether they find it or it randomly finds them, its probably a little of both… Seemed only the surfing trip which was last summer and the hunt for christmas trees. Starfire was sure there were more prominent, but those struck out for now. Despite what surrounded the picking out trees.. The big revealing. Simply Starfire smiled…
"Oh I am most glad to hear it is going well at your work… I do not think I have visited you at work, I'd love to stop by one day. Check it out…. Perhaps if you are free for lunch one day, I can take you out… X'hal… Now that is a nice whip… May I?"
There was a little in which Starfire had heard about Catwoman's day job. Certainly it didn't circle around what Starfire did, but Starfire was always one with interest. Perhaps as Starfire suggested meet up in the coming days. She was sure there be a time when they could possibly do lunch. Chill out… More than they were presently… Starfire's eyes motioned as Catwoman unhooked and revealed her infamous belt. Starfire's eyes trailed the lengthy specimen. It certainly amazingly crafted, certainly more than Starfire had expected. Motioned a hand, but asked before attempting to touch it. Not take it, it really wasn't hers to just take and hold. Even though Starfire didn't have a range of weapons. There certainly was no belt around her waist, but she did know how to handle weapons. Generally tamaranean, but surprisingly some weren't so different to the weapons on Earth. There was a time before the experiments, when Starfire did not have starbolts. Starfire had been trained in ways of swords and all varies weapons. Also trained to simply use her fists. As many found out, she was stronger than she looked… Starfire caught the little cute laugh in Catwoman at the mentioning of the night endeavours and more pointedly it sounded she had seen less of the night in such a fashion… Was that a clue? Starfire smiled with the golden tinge of cheeks.
"Hmmm, your nights have been usually busy off duty, you say? Would that have anything to do with the tall, dark and dashing kind of sorts? How is that going?"
There really wasn't any more closer Starfire could have gotten, well least Starfire assumed and leapt to believing this may have something to do with the man. The man who probably owned a lot of buildings before them. Heck, who knew if he owned the one they were perched on. Lightly bumped Catwoman's shoulder, she was up to hearing about how that was going, if there was good news. Even bad news, though Starfire was positive it was where either person truly wanted to be. Didn't everyone on some level, want love? To find it… Of course naturally Catwoman would be wondering why the tamaranean would be in Gotham. Sitting here alone.
"Slow night… I'm on call, so that probably change and Nightwing… Well, I'm giving him the space… I guess I can speak of it more openly now that it has passed, but… I… We lost a baby… Unexpectedly and I had kept it from him…"
Starfire simply stated in response. It was slow. She had come from New York after a mission with the titans, but not exactly needed by Arsenal it would seem, it could easily change… Nightwing, well. As Starfire paused. It was only recent she had told him, but given it was out there… Catwoman. Selina was here. Starfire couldn't keep everything a secret. She just couldn't. As she began to open up, least share what had gone, least Starfire assumed Selina didn't know. Her free hand, etched at the edge of the roof a little as she paused, before saying it. It had certainly became easier to say, but it had caused this tension. Whether it was from being upset she hadn't told him, the lose of the baby, the commitment, whether he was angry, it really could be a few factors, Starfire imagined… It was a rough patch… Something a little complicated, but she was hopeful they'd manage through it… Eventually. Dropping her head naturally and turning her eyes. Her legs that swirled against the building, swirled a little less. Though a little smile, it least was nice to share it. Given all the varies emotions it had cause for the tamaranean and still did…

Kory's observation made her smile. "It's...a thing something or other made by WayneTech that a few of us got our hands on. Thin, so it's barely noticable under our ...uniforms, you could say. It helps for a short while, and doesn't inhibit movement, but it's still being outside in the frigid temperatures, so at least it helps for a short time."
When the other woman wiggles closer, she closes her eyes in contentment at the expression of heat that washes over her. Not like a furnace blast, but something that does take the edge off.
Nodding at their recounting of events, she has to smile. It's nice to see that two people in their line of work could make things work. It really was the mundane, day to day moments that would anchor one's life. "It really is the small things, isn't," she offers, another grin on her face as Starfire shows her excitement in her whip.
"Some nights. Depending on your definion of 'night,' because..it's hard to get him to take a full night off. It has it's ups and downs...and this certainly is a new territory for the both of us. Neither of us will fully compromise, so it's..difficult at times." And much, much differnt than the last time she'd seen Kory, and Dick at the manor. Her nose wrinkled as that night's trainwreck came to mind. He had been so off that night. So awkward.
But as her thoughts get off that topic, and she's curious as to why Kory would be in Gotham, her friend answers for her, thankfully. "That makes sense. At least a bit of a change in scenery has to be nice, right? Even though Bludhaven isn't too far from here." Selina blinks once, then twice as she hears the news Kory admits. She wasn't joking about the wine at their little date.
"Oh god. I'm so sorry!" She offers, quite understanding the need for space between the couple. "Don't give him too much space, though. Grieving needs to be done alone, and together..." She offers thoughtfully. Not that she has ever had that intimate of a loss, but has experienced the loss of other things in her life, and the heartache that goes hand in hand with not sharing one's feelings.
Reaching her arm around the younger woman, Selina pulls her in for a hug. While they're not that close, this is a close enough instance that it does draw them together. And she wouldn't have opened up and shared such a topic with her, unless she had some value in their relationship.
"Perhaps we can catch lunch soon. Talk more. Get out. No work, no adjendas. Just good food and good company," she offers with a quiet smile. Sometimes just spending time with someone helped. Even though it may have felt like the word should stop, it never did.

There really was a lot to be said about the costumes of heroes, far more went into them than just simple fabric. Starfire's despite lacking coverage, did protect her in the places it did cover. She had known into some detail in Nightwing's suit and previous, but certainly had only guessed at Catwoman's… She listened intently. 'Hands on'? Either Bruce gave them out or Starfire could assume it was somewhat 'borrowed'… Wasn't like her roommate didn't 'borrow' from Oliver Queen… Thin? Hmmm! Starfire then touched the fabric and rolled a finger over the darkened fabric. It really was skin like. Just like a little sheet of paper, heck even thinner than that. With a knowing smile, these suits could defiantly cup the muscles in the most interesting and best ways.
"They really can be so skin like… Though with the tightness, I would imagine it can rub in the wrong places… Least on occasion I know it has for Nightwing, usually with a prototype… Not that I can complain about the view, if you know what I mean… Still no suit has been so strong I couldn't pull it off him…"
As subtle and sweet Starfire could comment, with the light shining in her bright green eyes. Smile upon her face. She was most content when she wasn't alone… When there was company and Catwoman, may not be the quote on quote usual company, but if Starfire had proved anything she was far from usual herself. Clothes. Costumes were lesser things in the wider world, but certainly sparked some interest. Adding her comments regarding the tightness, the re-strictness it could play on the body or least in places. Starfire would assume and somewhat know from others. Playfully added a smile, recalling the occasions it had rubbed Nightwing the wrong or mistakenly bitten or even better, when it rode up just that little bit. Starfire giggled aimlessly, although to be fair in any state he could be presented she's not sure she could complain about anything. Somehow she'd probably find someway to find it to be a cute quirk. Any trouble he had gotten with his suits, Starfire could say he more or less rescued him. Ok, that happened regularly to save time, without completely ripping them all… No, in most cases all old suits ended up in the special space in her closet… She really had a lot more than one would think. Breathing a sigh. The smile grew of course at the sight of the whip… Well, it partially of course being an epic whip, but it was also something important to Catwoman. There was certainly some honour. Stroked it a little with a reach of her hand.
"Yes and no… When you've been made to suffer… I wish simply to enjoy life, even the littlest things it may offer. At any second… You do not know, but I cannot live with regrets… Not now… Not ever… I mean look at this view…"
It was a yes and no thing. Really it was things in general, but yes even the smallest things, Starfire could seek the joy in. Put it down to being tamaranean. Perhaps because she was a slave. She knew the moment she would break through, she knew now that she'd never put herself in that position again… But it was grasp what had been halted, kept from her. Simply life. Her freedom. It was her own now and why just stop, when you can enjoy it. Embrace every ounce you could. As Starfire could smile, perhaps it wasn't something she could detail to really paint it out for Catwoman… Life could end at any point, although with that as Starfire said, she was also the being that didn't simply give up. If she was going to die, she knew she would fight before her last breath, just as she would fight for everyone elses. There could be no regrets. Whether it was right or she'd make a mistake. She couldn't life by that. No. Starfire lived by her emotions. What she felt she acted upon. She didn't hold back. Well, apart from holding back when she fought… She couldn't kill here and really she couldn't say she wanted to as much now, least when faced with that option… Pointing out the view. Green eyes stretched out through the buildings, but the world barely stopped there. It went on and on. Hard to really grasp she did even have this, but darkness. The tamaranean brightly smiled. It may not be everything, but it was something. Though she wasn't so high up to know what truly mattered. As usually the case, it is more often the company. Perhaps what she had longed most of all. To not be so alone. As she aided Catwoman with her warm. Starfire was in many ways like a star.
"Yeah, I can understand that. In these roles, it can be hard to find the balance, though it is worth the compromise, if it is what you both truly want… If I could offer suggestion. I wouldn't look so much for that day off and enjoy what time you can find. If and when the day off comes, thats even better… There is rarely a day Nightwing and I, don't even at least talk on the phone… If that is all you get on some days… Use it. Though I guess it is different where you two are so different with your personas… Just don't give up… If in doubt, we can always set up something for the four of us. If you do need an excuse… Like I often remind Nightwing. We are a better help to the world if we aren't fried. We occasionally need to recoup."
Starfire could certainly relate to the difficulties given that Nightwing and Starfire were both heroes. It sort of took the front seat, which was fine it was saving the world. They did often fight together, although Starfire couldn't count that as proper time. It was time, but they were better focused on the task at hand most of the time. They were also Dick and Kory, that was them, they weren't entirely masks. X'hal, even as Starfire she was sensually the same, just the name the humans gave her. Nightwing perhaps different enough to not know it was Dick if didn't know, but unfortunately Starfire could never really know what that was like. He was always Dick to her first. The man. Even when she first met him as Robin. How was she to know what the mask meant then… At the very least Starfire could offer up an suggestion, but in the end it was really something only Batman and Catwoman could deal with… From experience, at least finding some time hopefully each day was worth it. Of course there were some times, Nightwing needed his space, but there rarely was even a day they did not speak… Well, perhaps they were a little more silent now… But Starfire did enjoy even the phone calls. Of course there was nothing like having him near and physically be able to touch him. X'hal knew whenever he was in the same room. She would usually be touching him, perhaps just out of instinct of liking him close. Starfire smiled sweetly offering the dating option, if they did ever need the excuse. It seemed humans liked excuses at times. Starfire was hopeful it be better than last time. Least now everyone knew where everyone stood and at least Starfire was voting the couple would pull through. If it was love, it would find its way.
"Oh, of course… The view is quite beautiful… I fly through here on my way to Bludhaven, from New York… To be honest, where some humans like to jump in the car and just drive… I like to just fly!"
Perhaps that was a good way to describe it. Flying was natural to her, just as walk was for most humans. Sometimes she just liked to fly and see where to took her. Least of course when she had the time for herself. Sometimes see who she could meet, if she didn't take Nightwing with her. Although it oddly seemed a while since they did fly, seemed it was more often when they were both living in New York. Starfire pondered as her green eyes looked over Gotham with the subtle signs of the thoughts on her face. It was beautiful though. The world certainly held its wonders. Smiling softly… Until of course the news was given and Catwoman speaks. Starfire couldn't deny to was nice to share it, despite how raw it could still feel. It was a mix of things, the loss was sad, but it was not just the life, but also what it all represented. That desire of one day they could have all this. A family. To have children with Dick. Starfire didn't want it any sooner as he did, but it had seamlessly came without her even realising until it was too late.
"Gratitudes… Oddly I think he is trying to give me space… I just, I expected he would be hurt that I kept it from him, but I didn't know what to expect knowing how he feels about the commitment stuff… Or just add to everything else he blames himself for… I feared he might think I would trap him like this. I would never gamble life like that…. Though I cannot lie, had the baby survived. It would have been nice, more than nice… But you are right… I want to know how he feels, but after what I did. I just don't know if I can just ask it of him… Mostly I just want him here… Whatever future we do have or create, none of it really means anything, if I don't have him."
Warmly Starfire thanked Catwoman… Starfire was giving him space, but something told her, he was trying to give her space. He was there at times, but perhaps backed off not trying to upset her. Starfire had taken lumps of this emotional road, in a few directions, there was something different about him. Perhaps confusion in his feelings. As Starfire stated she knew some of his pain stemmed from the fact she had kept it from him. Perhaps it seemed more to her, one had to take into account, she really wasn't someone that kept secrets. Not like this and certainly not from him. With all the fears and doubts that did run through Dick's mind. Commitment, she was sure she didn't need to say that, Catwoman most likely picked up on that to a degree. Nightwing loved and he could open up, but there there was those fears he had. Perhaps not so much fears, he just wasn't ready for them, even for Starfire they were young, though she had no questions about how she truly felt. She knew… Somehow Starfire doubted he would truly think she could trap him, but being human, maybe it would be something that rang through his mind… At this point, anything could run through his mind. His heart… As Starfire sighed. Admitting, even the baby had been unexpected even for her, had it survived, it certainly wouldn't of been a bad thing. She could move on from this loss, there could be chances later…. If there was a later. If this was just another bump… Her fear right now as it general was, to lose him. Starfire most of all wanted him… Here. As Spoke softly and took her hands, rubbed each arm. If she was being honest. As there were a couple of tears threatening in her eyes… Her throat caught, but her emotions bubbled unexpectedly as Catwoman motioned an arm around Starfire. Pulled her in. Not perhaps one to want to unload such emotions, but she was a being that let them go. As the tears that threatened, broke. Rolling down her golden face. From painful emotions, but comforted by the company. The gesture. There was safety in it.
"That would be lovely… Did hear a new japanese place opening up! Could be interesting…"
Quality alone time between two girls, could be just what the doctor asked for. Was that even the correct saying. Starfire hardly felt this was something even a doctor to solve. Especially when her biology was quite different. Although did prove she was somewhat capable of carrying Nightwing's baby, it was the poison that kill it. Starfire was sure, it wasn't her. Least she could hope… Starfire mentioned sweetly the new japanese place she had heard on the street, wiping the tears as she sat, yet hardly completely retreated from the embrace. Perhaps on occasion one needed a shoulder. Only in her case there really wasn't any family. No blood family… Her friends were her family… Somewhere down below, unbeknownst at least from Starfire. There was a couple of people that had spotted them… Ok. Ok. Perhaps the trail of red hair was the mild beacon. It of course wouldn't take them long to spot Catwoman. Not only that, but Catwoman hugging Starfire. There was certainly a story in this. X'hal, questions. All questions and answers, they probably really didn't need to understand.

Selina held out her arm so Kory could feel the suit without poking. It really was a marvel, and she did enjoy the leather, but in the winter, it needed something else. "Proper undergarments can fix that, you know. And yes, I have an old, old suit. One of the firsts. But where I go, they take measurements, and...it's a process. But oh-so worth it to get something you can move in." And get in, and out, with minimal wear and tear, and no injury. She'd been in more than a few places before that were tight, tight squeezes.
Shaking her head as Kory remarks on Dick, all that comes to mind is the teen with a quick mouth and that outfit. Robin's attire was prone to jokes, and she had taken him up on that invite, more than once. To see him grown up and happy, was something to see.
And their shared heartache was always a difficult issue to approach. No doubt there was, and were closer people in their Titans circle, but if someone came to her with an admission of heartache, she wasn't one to turn them away. And losing the possibility of a child, of a family, was something that reached all people. She was curious if Bruce was even aware they were aspiring for a family. And while Selina had suffered, and experienced many losses in her own life, it seemed to pale with what Kory had done in her lifetime. Not that one should compare heartache for heartache, but it helped to talk over the pain with friends. "I understand that. There is no joy, without the pain to measure it against. Life is up and down for a reason, even if we are unaware of the purposes."
As she turned her head to the view Kory was admiring, she had to admit, even gritty, gothic Gotham had it's beautiful places.
Nodding, she relished the bubbly redheads shared heat, and her viewpoints. "We're trying that, actually. The little day to day things, instead of planning. Because you know how it is, with planning. Life tends to happen." And Kory was right. Perhaps a double date, again, but without...such awkwardness could help them all.
It was nice to be able to speak freely to another woman who..understood. The masks, the added stressors, all of it.
"Keep communicating. That is the best thing, instead of assuming he wants one thing, and him assuming you want something else. That will only lead to more problems. But as sorry as I am, I do hope things look up for you both. Love will get you through it all." And as her last words hit Selina's ear, she understood that feeling all too well. Without Bruce...her life would be much, much different.
As the two embraced, Selina took the younger woman close, and could feel the soft hitch in her breath that usually meant emotions were about to bubble up. And if Starfire, well, Kory needed that time, there was really no better place than they were now for her to help support the woman. "You're safe, Kory," Selina murmured quietly, her gloved thumb brushing away a tear or two.
"When we're ready, we can get to lunch. I do like Japanese cuisine." She added quietly, not wanting to shatter the moment with talking.
But it seemed that as she even tried to save the moment, life had another thought in mind. Using a claw tip to flick down her binoculars, Selina spotted those that spotted her and Kory. Shit.
This sort of thing couldn't be seen. And if they orchestrated it correctly, it could look like a confrontation. But if it were to go that route, they'd have to move quickly.
"Starfire. Below us someone is gawking. We have to make this look..unfriendly, and fast. I can't risk being seen on good terms with ..your sort. I know you understand." Releasing her touch on Kory, Selina stood, and gestured oddly for their audience, until they started moving on their plan.

Wasn't that almost the solving of most human problems? Underwear. More importantly the right underwear. Starfire smiled amusingly, perhaps thats where she failed, but well. She wasn't exactly from a place where there was such clothing and oddly it remained usually the same here. Hmmm, Nightwing in underwear. Usually in her quick attempts, that was hardly noted. An old suit? Starfire coached a look, she hadn't really contemplated how long Catwoman had been on the prowl, but she would hardly call her old… If this was what old looked like, well X'hal, one could defiantly enjoy it… Especially with such skin, least the part that Cat's suit didn't hide. Starfire could almost catch her slightly rosy cheeks. Adorable. At the statement of an outfit that could be easy to move in. Starfire could defiantly agree on that.
"Oh, I hear you… The freedom… Although, no undergarments… Then again, I can't say it was ever a tamaranean custom… As human as I do feel, some things cannot be shaken!"
Happily Starfire agreed, her suit was clearly easy to move around in. Reached out a arm slightly. She never really took too great a look at it, given it was such the norm to wear it. Like wearing a glove, it just fit. Even if it wasn't to everyones taste, but if she really catered to everyones taste. Then well, she wouldn't get ver far and she wouldn't be whom she wanted to be. Herself. Save there was no underwear. Not with this suit. It really never needed it. Taking a half to Catwoman and mentioned it really wasn't a tamaranean custom. Despite Starfire living more time away from Tamaran… Still there were habits, if thats what a human would call them. Though of course occasionally she would wear underwear, oddly you'd probably never know when.
Naturally it seemed when certain words were spoke. Experienced shared. Created that element of stillness. Feeling the warm embrace of a friend, was really all Starfire had, really that was proof of a place. Of somewhere she truly belonged. With no planet. No home. All the hardships along the way, could probably be the death of most humans, but Starfire was resilient. As long as there was hope for peace. Playing gentle touches along Catwoman's arm. Feeling the suit, but evidently felt her friend. Listened to her friend. Yes, life could be up and down, but joy was always there to be found. It was a natural thing for Starfire to seek. To find. Like a human seeking air. When something bad happened, it happened. Starfire could not linger on that forever. Forget what she could and move on. Live for the here and now. Not the past. Respect it, but she could not live there. It had been and gone. Despite the ghosts that could haunt the corners. That she did her best to put away. To ignore. Usually she was able, but occasionally she could not completely shut out the screams. The cries.
"Whatever life throws… There is always joy to be found… I maybe more human now, but as a tamaranean it was an instinct to find joy. To live by it… Up until the betrayal of my sister, Tamaran had lived in peace for over 100 years… They had little reason not to seek joy."
Deep and meaningful, as simple as Starfire could say it. Felt it swirl like a lump of emotion in her heart. Spilling out on her sleeves, if she was ever wearing any. More often things couldn't be explained, only felt. Warmly Starfire could smile. Honestly. As even now, despite feeling the sadder emotions. She could see joy here. There. She felt every emotion openly. Happy or sad. In order to move on, one had to feel. Let the emotions ride and let them go. Joy it was very much how tamaraneans lived. Least one of the ways. Perhaps aided because of the peace up until Komand'r had betrayed, not only her, but her people… That was the difference between the planets. Here, people question their friends and show mercy to their enemies. On Tamaran, they never questioned their friends and didn't show mercy to the enemy. Whether or not either one was right or wrong… Things were different, despite how long Starfire had come to call Earth home… There were rooted parts of where she was from. Despite knowing she had only really spent her younger years there. She was shipped off to train with the warlords and not long after that sent to the Citadel. There was certainly a lot wrong with Tamaran as there was with pretty much every planet, but it was a lot like paradise… Gotham… It was certainly not what she would pick out of all the cities, it was dark and gloomy, but there was life. Life was beautiful. Had purpose.
"There is always another mission and someone to save… I do love working with Nightwing. I'd follow him anywhere… We'd have to work out plans if you did want to go out… Nightwing is still uncomfortable from last time, but I do think it could be beneficial to try. Maybe somewhere else, away from the manor…"
Nodded in knowing and understanding response. Partially mimicking something Nightwing has said over the years. Although sometimes it was him, that found the time, not always from Starfire's suggestion. Titans were more than heroes. They were growing teenagers and young adults. They had lives and emotions, all wrapped up in people that also saved the world. Smiling softly, the memories could blink easily in her mind, but she was just as happy here. Mostly… When they worked they hardly got distracted if one really ever imagined they did and in most cases those people probably weren't around for when Nightwing was leader of the titans. He was a great leader. Even though that had somewhat changed, working with him was as brilliant as ever. It felt comfortable and at this point, she more often knew what he was thinking… Where ever he would lead, Starfire would ultimately follow. Even if they were not dating, she trusted him the most… The double date, was something that could be hopeful, but last time had more than been uncomfortable. Especially for Dick, even more recent when it was brought up, he really didn't seem that ready for it, but perhaps it wouldn't hurt to try it again. Someday… Although, Starfire felt perhaps somewhere else, might be best. There was just so much history in that place, it probably didn't help…
"You are right… I… Maybe I should just sit him down… With the loss of Wonder girl and now this… I can only imagine where his head is at… Let alone his heart… Its hard to know for sure, when humans fall in and out so often… On some level I know for sure he loves me. Yet, I know I will love him forever."
Felt the rumbling flow of words from her friends heart and the flow from her own. She knew all this to be true. As a lot of the pain was merely not opening up. Starfire didn't do bottling things up, it just wasn't natural. Thus keeping that secret even for a moment had been a burden on her. She just didn't want to lose him, but in her attempts to prevent that, she knew there was possibilities she could have done that from keeping that from him… All she wanted. Needed was him. As made way for her tears, but stopped. Let them roll as she blinked and felt the dab of a stray gloved finger. A light smile. This was confusing. Humans could be confusing. There was no doubt, he was her soul mate, yet she had to be content with that fact, Dick didn't know whether or not she was his, least not yet… Even though she knew somehow. In someway she would always have a place in his heart. With all these doubts. She held on to the hope, she wasn't the giving up type and after everything. Starfire just couldn't simply let that go. Maybe all this needed was time to heal. To feel. To be. Starfire knew and didn't. As thought more humbling thoughts at the closeness of her friend. A friend that may not know the full history, but that hardly needed to be. Just felt. Shared.
"Gratitudes… You are too kind… I'm not sure if Bats knows or if or when Nightwing will tell him… It might be best from him… We didn't exactly plan for this… I didn't know I was until it was too late."
Warmly Starfire mumbled softly in the curve of Catwoman's neck. Shoulder. Arms. She could probably cuddle up and just embrace the friendship. The love. The feeling of someone that cared. Was it not the most wonderful feeling? As eyes remained mostly shut. Holding tears, perhaps a little pain, but she wasn't so good at containing her emotions. Let them flow. Her tears were not as heavy as they had been, but perhaps they weren't completely going anywhere until, she was one on one with Dick. Perhaps he was mostly avoiding the roller coaster of emotions and Starfire was merely yearning for them. Bleed them out. Let them come and move on… Though maybe it sounded easier than it was… Her voice broke when bringing up Bruce. There was no telling if he knew, whilst he wasn't her biggest fan nor friend, she really didn't mind. In all honesty she was sick of secrets and she really couldn't hold on to another, but knowing Dick. Them. It was probably best from Dick. If he could even imagine how the right words to be, because either way its spun. He was gonna expect the backlash. The judgement, despite it being his life. Their life. A sudden unexpected occurrence. After the kidnapping of Scarecrow, she hadn't exactly gone back on protection and perhaps they had been foolish in the spurring moments… There was no regrets to hold. It had happened. Her tears bubbled, just not knowing how she hadn't of known. Felt anything…
"Just buzz me when your free and we can go from there… Me too. I love the entertainment of it… If you've never been… Japan, is amazing… X'hal! If we were getting a little more bold. I could fly us for lunch or is that too bold?"
Subtly sweet, Starfire uttered. Pulling back enough, but the closeness was still there. Perhaps it was odd for others. This friendship, but it felt natural to her. Just as it would to do lunch. It could only grow from here. As the rise in her voice picked up, with a more bubbly, kind tone. Recalling the open grill type style she had experienced in the past at Japanese restaurants… With that, remarked how beautiful Japan was and could be. Having been there a couple times. Whether on a mission or flying over. Starfire was more used to forest and living in and around nature, but one could really admire all those lights. The colours. It was hard not to smile. Put a hand to her mouth and she realised she could take Selina, if she did ever want to check it out. In fact she could fly her almost anywhere. Perhaps not outer space, unless Catwoman had a special suit or wanted to ride Stafire's spaceship… Hmmm, but visiting Japan wouldn't be a bad idea, if cats didn't have a fear of flight and given Starfire was faster than a plane. Could be done in a good set of time… Unless it really too bold… Blushed a little with an innocent smile… It was something.
"I just hope you mean my sort as in heroes… Otherwise I'd have to wonder what a catwoman has against tamaraneans… "
Green eyes escaped down below. She had slightly better eye sight than a human. Ah, yes. There was the curiously looks. Questions looming. They could almost have question marks on their chest, but no green insight… Starfire smirked warmly. Catwoman really didn't know who she was challenging, but she wasn't about to say no. She could 'play' this out… Moving away as Starfire came to her own feet, though remarked amusingly as Catwoman had said 'your sort', that kind of in reality hang over a lot of of things. When it came to this tamaranean. Merely Catwoman was meaning not to take it personally. Starfire defiantly would not. She was the criminal in this city and apparently had to be seen with certain friends, not others. Although, aliens? Starfire raised the curious question in her tone and a smile on her lips. Either way she did challenge the tamaranean, she certainly wouldn't underestimate Catwoman.. Although knowing how full on Starfire can grow her powers, she would have to play it down and not seriously harm. Or kill her friend in the process. Thank X'hal. Thank Nightwing, for allowing her to get some restraint, but she was still a warrior.
"I can certainly do with a sparring. A challenge between friends… I here by challenge you CATWOMAN… YOU ARE A MENACE THAT MUST BE RESTRAINED… Does that work? I really don't think your a menace… Don't hold back!"
Starfire then added with a slightly more delighted tone. Yeah, she was naturally a competitor when challenged. She had bested Donna on several occasions, all in fun, but both ladies were competitive. It was fun and certainly aided to their training. Perhaps this could be similar, although this may go on longer, but Starfire wasn't much one to flip a coin on such a thing… A knowing smile and wink as she stated low. A challenge between friends. Whether or not it would appear as such, be another thing entirely… With that Starfire floated up a little. Her gaze below at the crowd and picked up her voice as she spoked to Catwoman. Challenged her. Perhaps it was a little cheesy, but she was working on the spot here. Wasn't really one to say a bad thing, especially about a friend… As Starfire more lowly asked and reassured she did not think Catwoman was a menace. To not hold back, even if Starfire would need to… With her hands now warming up. Glowing of her starbolts, but she would imagine a more combat approach by be the go. The tamaranean princess flew forward to start the first contact, perhaps the first blow of her mighty fist.

Selina could understand joy. It was fleeting at times, but when grasped, had, and held, it was a life-transforming thing. As Kory mentioned them going out, she raised a brow. He was uncomfortable from the last time? Who wouldn't be? That would be a topic that they should bring up, together. Her and Bruce, getting to the bottom of his ...uncouth behavior. Selina just nodded, agreeing with Kory-cum-Starfire. "Maybe even Bludhaven. Get out of Gotham completely." She offered.
After Kory again was contemplative, Catwoman nodded. "With men, sometimes that is the best way. Sit them down, be blunt, be it about head, or heart. Don't image, or assume, just talk it out. Sometimes life hits them hard, and they can't quite...fix it, so they brood." She knew that all too well. Bruce was quite the crab when he couldn't realize he was the be all, end all for Gotham. He couldn't do it all alone, but hell, he certainly tried his damndest.
As the two embraced, Selina felt a slight maternal pang. It was hard to lose a child, even one you'd never held in your arms. As for her own children, Selina had none naturally, but that was quickly changing with how attatched she was growing to Charlotte. Pursing her lips, she willed herself to not get drawn up in the emotional tidal wave that Kory was feeling. "Japan would be lovely." She countered with a slight chuckle to Kory's next comment about her people vs superheros.
At her suggestion, Kory sprang up, a side of her Selina really never saw, nor cared to. Fire and all that? No thanks. But considering they had been already spotted together, why not give them a bit of a show. She'd just have to dodge the red-headed alien for long enough that she could slip away, right?
Or so she hoped. "That's fine. I'm not going to yell, though. We can jump around a bit enough so they get something...then I can slip off, good?" She gave a loud hiss, and considering her whip was already in hand, snapped it once, then twice for the effect, her claws out. While her main job was getting in, getting out, getting gone, she was still a rather gifted combatant.
She just couldn't fly. Or shoot bolts from her hands. But she did have claws, a whip, and a few tricks up her sleeve.

There really wasn't any particular place in mind, then again there could have been a plentiful places swirling around her fiery covered head. This world could be small, but it could also hold anything and everything, if you truly needed it. Friendship most of all, one of the true key things. Perhaps it was nature to not want to be a lone, perhaps it was a little more. All Starfire knew is that she liked people and she loved her friends. In any shape or form. There was certainly a wee-little surprise, yet a nice surprise look at hearing Selina suggest Bludhaven. Hang out in Bludhaven and it certainly be more of a hang out. Starfire and Dick were not exactly falling through cracks, well in the manner of speaking when it came to wealth, but it certainly wasn't as splashed in their environment. Though it certainly didn't lack the homely feeling… As best as Starfire could make it, she had certainly got more used to it, than when she first arrived… Though after 6 years plus of darkness and chaos, really most things seem wonderful, simply in being able to be living. To be breathing and to be free. Twirling her purple covered feet that dangles over the buildings edge, mingled and mixed within the dark looming city of Gotham.
"Bludhaven would defiantly work… Are we talking about a home kind of visit? That could be really sweet and I'm happy to cook. Well, trying. I'm getting better… Hmmm… What do you feel about broadway? There is a nice little theatre company in Bludhaven. Or of course New York, depending on the show. Would that maybe something you two maybe interested in?"
Starfire replied and agreed happily, eagerly. Of course it couldn't really be confirmed right now, but least of all they could talk about making something happen. Something was better than nothing. Though Starfire could almost argue if Selina was looking to truly leave Gotham with Bruce, Bludhaven really wasn't that far, but sure it was certainly more homely for her and Dick right now. So sharing and showing sort of how they lived could be a cool, sweet thing. Despite of course the separate apartments, but most time was spent at Starfire's, so that would most likely be the place. Plus she had the outdoor spa, although she could almost hear Dick's commentary over that thought in her mind. Made her laugh. Either way with a delighted smile she was happy to welcome in her home and cook. She certainly was no prize winning chef or cook, but Starfire certainly liked a challenge, finding it all quite fun. There be of course less chances of disaster. She hadn't really burnt anything in a while or at least in the last couple of days. Though as her mind expanded, in chances they wanted to go out and see Bludhaven itself. Suggesting a theatre visit. Dick and Starfire loved the theatre, though had been as often as they had when they had lived in New York. Maybe a little theatre and little time spent at home or something. Lunch, maybe? Dinner? Heck, they could even just go to New York.
"Gratitudes… I will sit him down and talk to him… I have hope, we'll move on… We have to… What's happened, happened… You know I always thought brooding was moping and staring out of windows, but I barely see him staring out of windows. Mostly faced down in a pillow… I find it very cute… Then he's just cute in general… A little complex, but still has the warmest heart I've seen…"
Selina's words and wisdom certainly had a way of easing Starfire's troubles. There was maybe still a little concerns, but that was natural. At the end of the day Starfire wasn't the closed of type, she could try to hide, but eventually she just really couldn't. Talking was exactly what needed to be done. Her hand entwined with Catwoman's kept close. Though drew her other a little close to her chest. Smiling softly. It would be hard, but it would be worth it. Especially before there was any serious drifting. It certainly had encouraged her and perhaps all she needed was a little boost. Though after Catwoman's detailing of men on Earth, the brooding. Not exactly something the males on Tamaran did, but for some reason. Whether it was in books or on tv, Starfire had imagined there was a window involved. Then again perhaps it was a symbolic window, Starfire pondered. That certainly made more sense. With Dick, defiantly faced down in pillow, one of the ways, often it did loop back around to him actually being sleepy. Starfire delightfully commented, whichever the reason was cute, he was very much cute in general. Her golden cheeks glowed. Tingles and goosebumps ran up her arms. There never needed to be any convincing just how much she did love him. She felt it everyday. Dick was complex. He did have the layers like an onion, there really was never a layer big enough to shield the warmth of his heart. Least from her. In the small peaks of bliss that was sparked now and the company. The embrace certainly helped bay Starfire's tears. Perhaps not entirely. Whether it was a stray tear or stain, there was a faint trace still, but the waterfall was broken. For now.
"Wonderful… I'll sign you up for a first class ticket! Don't worry you know with Superman's statistics. I'm a very safe way to travel. I can even carry your luggage… I suppose after I'm back from Africa would be a good time?"
There was certainly an added beam to Starfire's cheeks as she responded to Catwoman. Hmmmm. Catwoman and Starfire in Japan. One could only imagine what kind of mischief they could get into, though Starfire was certainly imagining it would be fun. As she lightly and openly jested to flying her to Japan. Flying Catwoman, Selina. If she'd not had such experience before, it was certainly going to be a playful trip. There was certainly no doubt. Starfire was more stable than an aeroplane. Flying was her basic nature. A basic nature she also thoroughly enjoyed, of course. Giggling softly, she was confident she could carry a lot of things. If there ended up being shopping involved. It was hard not going to Japan and not end up with something cute and fluffy to take back…. Of course for Dick, grinning to herself… Before more sincerely debating roughly a good time. Noting a reach trip coming up for Africa. Mostly help out, she was after all in the benefit of flying and could help the world. Save it and maybe the universe. One step at a time…. As soon a couple steps were then just taken. With the echoing voices below that had climbed the building and soon followed eyes. Eyes upon the Catwoman and upon Starfire. What is it about this world and labels? Can't two women just hang out. Gossip, even in colourful outfits, or suppose dark and sexy. Meow! Starfire thought to herself amusingly… Somewhere there had to be a catch to almost be fighting your own kind, but wait… Her sister had wanted her dead and she was her kind. No, with a shake of her head. Starfire was different. Better…. As the golden beauty took a little height within the sky. It really was that easy, barely had to will, but evidently just had to feel it. As bright green eyes glowed a little down in direction to Catwoman. Fists at the ready. Thinking, this could certainly be a good fight. Wait…. Did she just say, 'slip off'? Starfire was a little disappointed, offering Catwoman a slight playful look from her eyes. Unless… Of course she was needed elsewhere, otherwise why not have a little fun. Not severely hurt each other. After all, it was Nightwing that taught her restraint on her powers.
"I can't just let you slip off, Catwoman… You've barely shown me your claws… If you've got the time, why not spar a little? What you say to 2 out of 3 fall, before you slip away? We can make it fun. If I win, you could come ice skating with me in park and if you win? Your call! Anything… "
Perhaps there was a little itch in the tamaraneans body, but a little sparing couldn't be a bad thing. Between friends, made it all more fun and besides what if Selina was faced with someone just as strong if not stronger than Starfire, this was a time to test what she would do and certainly aided for Starfire herself. Having been trained since she was child, much of her ways were basically like instinct, but everyone still had to train a little bit. Her fist didn't even graze the flesh of the dark suit of the Catwoman. Dodge the fire, smart move, but Starfire probably keep that low or at least the energy low. She could control that better these days. As her voice didn't entirely yell, but not low. With some level of play and routine in one. Not to throw off, if chances certain words are heard… Catwoman certainly could slip away, that would depend on how. It wasn't exactly like Starfire was capable at following a lead or a tail. Hinted a faint smile on her lips. Suggesting if she wasn't in a rush, play it out. Spar a little. She really was thinking a little of this on the spot herself. 2 out of 3, she was probably thinking to much wrestling, well mostly she was just thinking basic pins. They could pin each other right? Be kind of like a playful pillow fight, just minus the pillows and well a tiny bit more aggressive. With of course careful consideration on the level of actual hits. Easier said than done, but Starfire was confident they were in the realms of reason. If she could spar with Nightwing. Why not Catwoman? And well, add a little more to the pot… Friendly pot as Starfire suggested, then again ice skating was just fun. If of course she was up to wagering a little something sweet in the mix. Harmless wager, although then again she said anything, hopefully anything thats considers legal, otherwise Dick wasn't going to be happy.
"What do you say? Game on?"
Starfire lastly questioned a couple feet in the air, holding her stance. For now. Whilst of course she had her starbolts. She certainly had ground work ability, so this could defiantly become a little more one on one, though her hits usually would probably be a few degrees stronger. Though Catwoman was certainly not without her abilities. Starfire hadn't really recalled seeing her in action, but her claws were almost infamous. As was of course her whip. Catching the tamaraneans eyes ever subtly. The sounds echo in her ears, that almost seemed never ending and perhaps in a lifetime before it never really did. Where eyes had be shut before. Eyes were now open.

"Either one, Kory." She'd murmur, already moving into a fighting stance. She did love the arts, Broadway, or even New York. It'd been a few years since she'd been to NYC, and while it had some fantastic shopping, it still wasn't Gotham. Or Nice. Or Paris.
When Kory started truly addressing her as Catwoman, she tried not to laugh as she thought sparring would work. Unfurling her whip and extending her claws, Selina put on a ferocious look, knowing unless she truly did slip off, Kory, well, Starfire would have the best of her. Selina was a pro at getting and out of places. She wasn't too fond of face to face combat.
When she asked, Selina pulled a face slightly to let the other woman she'd go a round or two, but not much more. She could bet Kory was better at this. She'd been raised to fight. Selina had learned to fight because she had to.
So when Starfire threw a punch, it almost hit her, but she artfully threw herself back into a flip, going into a crouch. Claws now released on all of her fingers, her eyes narrowed, a glint of fun in them before she went serious, her wrist rolling her whip around before she extended it, the air cracking with the noise.
"Game on, Starfire." Catwoman snarled to the flying woman hovering above her, her whip cracking once, then twice, close enough to her friend for someone observing to notice, but not close enough to hit the red haired woman.

There defiantly was going to be a good show and tell to the people of Gotham. At the very least. As Starfire took glance to the eyes below, they certainly had a view. Almost like a front row seat, just well… Several feet below. Details would most likely be missed. Such as it would in truth be a friendly, yet well matched sparring. As the tamaranean balled her glowing fist close to her chest. Eyes upon the darkened suit of the Catwoman… That was defiantly an advantage. Wasn't like Starfire exactly hid in the shadows, but then again that was kinda of the point. She wanted you to see her coming. You see a ball of fire coming towards you, one would assume you'd react. Hmmm, either one. Starfire played at light in thought to Selina's say on the 'broadway', plans for a later time. A fun time, almost as fun as it was going to be now. Hmmm, perhaps Starfire was a little bias with New York. It was seemingly less about the city and a little bit like home. The tower. Her friends. Somehow she doubted Catwoman had even stepped foot on their island, let alone checked out the view from way up top or X'hal, experienced a titans training session. They were hardly ever the same. It had to. Titans didn't just face your average goon.
"I suppose I can leave it in Dick's court for now… Or we'll end up playing spin the bottle for it."
Starfire responded in a low yet cheerful enough tone. With simple gesture at her arms, not enough to entirely give away to content conversations. Whilst suggesting Dick was probably good at deciding. He was usually good at putting his foot down, well so was Starfire when the time was right. Which usually concluded from putting her foot down on Dick, before he truly got himself hurt, but who really was keeping track. Smiling ever so subtly, besides there was a good chance he'd just no altogether. She just couldn't force him, although chance he wouldn't. Playfully Kory teased. Suggesting they could miss using spin the bottle, possibly one of many various games the couple play, which also was just an excuse for them to make out. They were usually softer for it and the bottle never lies. Letting out a soft, short giggle. Oh! As Starfire's giggles were cut a little short. Hearing the crack of Catwoman's whip. Seeing it, really was believing it. It was no wonder why she was in Gotham. She suited Gotham, like an alley cat? Surely Catwoman was even more savvy than that. Although Starfire did question it as Catwoman had almost began backing out. Running away before they could even get start. Play. Have a little fun. Not your typical girl fight. This had to be on some level like a pillow fight, just one step up and completely more badass. Also decidedly less messy.
Starfire had taken the first attack. Threw one mighty fist, but seemed Catwoman was on her game. Nice. Her golden fist barely even grazed the tight black suit, before the Catwoman showed her skill. Flip and crouch. It was almost graceful, with the gripping feel of danger. Perhaps even a little bite in it. Starfire wasn't thrown to much of her footing and gaining a little defence in her stance. Her green eyes barely floated away. Her fists regained close before her, with the more faintest glow. Catching the now playful look in Catwoman's eyes. As if a cat finding a mouse, well perhaps more like catnip wrapped in a ball. Starfire felt the rippling then at the next loud crack. The sensation rolling over her bare golden shoulder blades. Almost chilling, perhaps it was a good thing a tamaranean always faced their fears. This, certainly was more fun… At Catwoman's words… It was game on. It was play time. Fight time. Starfire in mere seconds drew back not to far into the air. Not too high. Feeling the air like home. The whip now merely added to the competition, although Catwoman was avoiding her. Could he really hit Starfire hard enough? Suppose they will see. Starfire with the heart and swirl of her golden hands in the crisp air, shot out starbolts. Not completely directly, merely as a decoy. Aiming towards her whip. Possibly grazing Catwoman. Not missing. Starfire was hardly bad at aiming, but in her rapid dance of starbolts in Catwoman's wake. Starfire stopped short of them and shot before her. Aiming her strong right knee to meet Catwoman's midsection. To potentially knock her off her feet, say a couple of feet. Floated as she would hopefully make contact. Before followed by a strong punch down upon Catwoman, although Starfire wasn't completely out of the safe of kicks or X'hal, a whip. Bring it on. Starfire was ready to get down and get to it.

Kory was really putting her all into it. To a degree, as both women were 'fighting,' but also not to their best ability. When the bolts came her green eyes went wide, and she'd barely dodged them, the heat simmering against her suit. She was thankful for the extra layer in the cool weather, and amazed at the fact Kory seemed to not even feel the chill. Lucky.
So while she was slightly distracted, she had almost been nailed by Starfire's knee to her belly, a hand going down, and her body flipping backward quite acrobatically to avoid her. She was dangerously close to the edge of the building, but knew a story or two down was another rooftop. She was off-kilter slightly, but also knew the rooftops a bit better than Starfire, she perceived.
So Catwoman again barely dodged the punch thrown her way, realizing the supermodel was much, much more than a pretty face as she launched backward off the sill of the roof, flipping and tucking her body as she fell, and landed, quite admirably on two feet in a crouch, her heart pounding happily in her chest as her hand flicked her whip again; much like an irritated cat would flick it's tail. Starfire had the advantage of many things; flight, strength, and speed. But Catwoman lived and breathed the night, and her stealth, and offense was hard to beat. If she could ground the superhero.
If the press wanted a show, they were certainly starting the theatrics the right way.

With just a display of a fight. How really would a cat fair against fire? Just how many lives did this Catwoman have? Hmmm, plenty from where Starfire observed. Never really getting the front row seat up until now. Not even a simple sparring match… It hardly seemed just. As the near flaming tamaranean merely flexed her muscles. Glimmered like gold in the night with that thin layer of mist of frost. Holding back, was perhaps not to Starfire's best ability, but Nightwing had taught her to hold back, it certainly wasn't something to totally snicker at. After all, It wasn't like she was a living breathing star or anything… Not one to brag either. No. Starfire wasn't about to burn her friend. Sure the Vixen was all suited up, but was there really any true way to mistake a friend…. Even as the Catwoman swayed her hips. There was just that flinch, ah yeah. There she was… Selina Kyle.
As with the shift motion and force Starfire nailed Catwoman almost square in the torso. Her red fiery hair fell in flames around them, melting in with the black leather. Certainly creating quite a show of fire and shadows. Perhaps even a little smoke, depending on how well proofed this leather suit really was, but disrobing Catwoman was hardly endgame…. Just even in the shear closeness, saw the flash of her teeth, a friend, but…. A challenge! Defiantly a challenge. With bright gleam of her green eyes as her golden fist missed by millimetres, crashing almost like a superman punch to the building's rooftop. With rather elegant. Smooth and gracefully flip. Acrobatic in style. Hmmm, it would be a matter of seeing whether Starfire knew a city as well, but she wasn't with out experience. Especially in a sparring against Nightwing. One could assume she picked up a thing or two. Then again she really wasn't much of a planner. Just as felt with every emotion as if they were on the tips of her sleeves. She went through battle generally with instinct. She was a warrior born, bred and trained. She wasn't just born a princess, she was born to be queen… It was only after becoming a slave that she truly knew she never wanted to rule anybody, but save somebody. She maybe a little ruthless in her ways, but her heart would always run true.
"X'hal!"
Now, that was pretty cool. Starfire had to admit. With the smirk coming to her golden cheeks. As motioned the lasting steps Catwoman took before ultimately taking a dive. That was truly something to marvel at… To simply fall without flying aids or protection… There was certainly something in that and perhaps Starfire could never really know what that was like. There was only a shortages of times when she didn't have her flight, but there certainly were numerous times it just wasn't useful at all. She was after all a tamaranean not a god, but where Catwoman showcased her bravery, that was certainly something Starfire truly had. With or without her powers. After all she didn't alway shoot starbolts. Call it a mutation of what she was made of within. Perhaps her strength and weakness, she just truly never knew how to give up, let a lone if it was even possibly if she could…
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were trying to dance with me Miss Kitty?"
Came firm, direct, playfully loosened at Starfire's tongue. As swift like a shooting star she dove down in the direction of Catwoman…. Feeling just the chill icy weather prickle her skin ever so slightly, but within the rush was a spar. Senses were certainly pumping for different reasons. As the fierce fiery tamaranean floated before her tightly bound friend. Challenge mate. Hmmm, yes… Starfire could almost hear the gasps from the ground… Perhaps even hers included as whip was cracked. X'hal. As almost a flock of bats descended from the nearby hiding holes. That certainly was a crack that could rattle through the streets of Gotham, even rattle a heart or two. With her firm eyes, Starfire lowered her gaze. They didn't so much move, and by the feels. This sexy kitty was perhaps, irritated, but this kitty was wanting to play… As Starfire motioned to break the space, brought force towards the kitty in directions of a wall… Starfire certainly had no problem taking this to the ground… To floor? Hmmm, sounded it was an guarantee.
