As Supergirl held the two off the ground, most words fell on deaf ears. That was until Arsenal was trying to bribe her.
"Like a niche...what is a niche," Supergirl asked.
She maybe intelligent, but there were still words of some languages that she did not understand. At least ones that aren't used that much. And this is someone who could learn a language in less than two minutes.
It wasn't much longer before Starfire showed up. A look of relief came to Supergirl's face over the minor jobs between them and a bit a chat.
"A time out is not need on my part," she said.
She was glad to hand over Nightwing to Starfire. It was getting rather annoying being in the same room as these two. The arguing was starting to give her a headache and she's Supergirl.
There were very few words spoken from Nightwing. Though it seemed Arsenal knew how to pick them off and interpret them with ease. Nightwing's actions were speaking quite a bit as well, but to Supergirl this was a side she had not seen between the two so much.
The minor fights were one thing. But this seemed to be on a more serious level. Sometimes it was just hard to fit into a group that had so much history together.
For a moment she almost forgot to let go of Arsenal's wrist, her grip not so tight as it had once been. Once the others started to speak, she let go of his wrist. She backed off slightly since it seemed Nightwing was the more fired up of the two yet.
She hovered a slight distance from behind Arsenal. He didn't seem like he was going to attack. Then the conversation started to get awkward. She kept her right arm close to her side and rubbed it with her left hand. This was definitely not a conversation she wanted to be involved in.
Though as far as she got there was another life lost that Starfire hadn't told Nightwing about. She was slightly curious on that topic, but it wasn't her place. This wasn't business talk and the battle was rather personal between them.
The two were going at it again it seemed. The next works from Arsenal would probably put out the fire for now and force Nightwing to talk with Starfire over the matter.
Supergirl was getting rather concerned that Arsenal might work himself back into his annoyance over Nightwing attitude again.
Supergirl came slightly closer and laid a hand on Arsenal's shoulder. She wanted to make sure he was remaining calm. "Maybe we should make sure your nose isn't broken before this goes any further," Supergirl suggested.
This would give Starfire and Nightwing the chance to talk. That and it wouldn't take long for Supergirl to use her x-ray vision to check for them. Maybe it was also to stop the blood from running down his face as well.

It seemed Starfire had come just in time to miss the brutality. Even though standing mere footsteps between the two men, Starfire could defiantly feel it. See it. Whether she looked into Nightwing's eyes. Arsenal's. There was no telling if Supergirl could, but she could see the men behind the mask in this. Sometimes they could really act like children than men, could only gather if this wasn't solved now or temporarily brushed under some magical rug. This was going home with them. Starfire was sure, she'd be in similar position. Avoiding picking sides, that could make things difficult. Just as it was difficult to see… No, to feel. As soon as Nightwing had been set on his feet. Made another attempt… Through her? She knew he knew she was here, still felt as if he was just looking through her. Her golden hand firm at his hand kept him from any further. Even for Starfire this felt heavier than usual. As Starfire looked back as Nightwing looked at her. Slight sternness in her eyes, also concern and confusion. Watching him turn away, to which her hand gently let him go… Almost jolted back where she stood as Nightwing snapped his words. His emotions fluxed by whatever was driving this.
"Nightwing..!"
Starfire simply frowned in response, but before she could even attempt to reach out. That was when Arsenal stepped back in. She felt him approach from behind, getting into the space, but not dreading over the line, but potentially helped with Starfire suggested with hand to keep him back… Decidedly weakened shortly as her eyes actually turned and looked at Arsenal. Now seeing the blood… What in the X'hal? Starfire exclaimed loud in thought, before her eyes looked back to Nightwing, with looks he was sure to read… Allowing Arsenal to say what he said, there was little to stop it, Starfire couldn't see Nightwing hurt badly, least they were both on their feet now and hoped it stay that way. Green eyes looked between them. Could know the pin pointing Arsenal was trying to do. Maybe there was truth, but Starfire knew Nightwing. Through all distancing, he was still sensitive deep inside. She merely had to look upon him now to know that at the base of it all, he was hurt. He was hurting, this was just his way of trying to deal with or ignore he was hurt… Was it not last night or previous she had felt him hold her during the night? Subtle things! Starfire was in subtle train of thoughts before she heard Arsenal call her 'princess'. To which Starfire looked to him, not sure at first why he was apologising to her… As soon as he said 'he needs to know…. he deserves to know'… Starfire knew what he had meant. Her green eyes widened momentarily. Darting back and forth… Swallowing her suddenly dry mouth. Eyes glancing up at Nightwing briefly. Secrets were not something the tamaranean favoured, most heartily keeping any from him. Even now it was screaming inside her, that she should have told him, she was going to tell him, she just pushed it back and back… Starfire's eyes drifted off from them. Her mind fell centred to the emotions. Sad. Hard. Confused…. She was reminded back to sitting in deep silence upon a building in Bludhaven, only moments after…
*Golden legs dangled over a ledge, many stories above. Below where Nightwing and Arsenal had been taking care of business. Hardly did Kory make her presence known, but her green eyes had barely seen the city. Rather her mind echoed the words from the doctor 'I'm sorry, but you lost the baby'. Unconsciously Kory's hand clutched near her torso… The loss… The unknown. Made her emotions do loops. Having had her greatest desire flash before her eyes and taken all in one… Thinking. Seeing Dick below. All the ways she could tell… Should tell him! She fell to silence. The quiver of her lips… That had been when Roy's voice cut through her train of thought!
"Kory? You've been quiet all night… Have a lot on your mind?" "Roy!"
Kory responded with rather pleasant, yet unsure surprise as he appeared from behind and soon found a seat beside her. She couldn't exactly hide it, but didn't form the words. Yet, nodded whilst her eyes briefly upon him looked away. Not really into anything, but the space below. Into space, but glimpsed Dick below. After some time sitting there with Roy, picking up on her tells, eventually Kory dug in deep and told him. There it was out there. Someone else knew, still felt the heaviness in her chest. Both of the pain, but also afraid to tell the one person she valued the most… Kory was sure there was a sitcom in there somewhere.
"You need to tell him, Kory!"
"I will! Please! Don't tell him for me…"
Kory had said assuring as well as she herself knew eventually she would tell him. There was little way around it, she had too. How long could she truly keep a secret from him. With the subtle sigh, this seemed decidedly different kind of secret. It was at the tip of her tongue, but nearly in a language she didn't quite grip… Eye shone a glimpse of the pain in withholding this, before grazing over Roy… No doubt, this had to come from Kory. Kory alone. Even if she was toying with what happens when it did hit Dick's ears… Would that be it? With a deep swallowing of pride and potentially her words. Kory got her feet and Roy quickly followed foot.
"You're leaving?"
"If Dick asks… Tell him I'm in New York!"
"Secrets. Now you want me to lie to him? I understand… Where are you really going?"
"Somewhere I can think. Feel… I think I need to take a page out of Dick's book and find space!"
Kory had simply said, whether or not she truly knew where she was going for the time being. There were a few places in mind, but in all honesty it was less about places. Even as her eyes lingered to the skies. All really she felt was herself falling, with little to catch her, but as she had told Roy, she didn't want Dick to worry. With all things on his plate. After everything from Donna, to Scarecrow, being poisoned… To this! Kory half smiled she needed space. Even though being alone was usually the last thing she wanted. Right now she couldn't help feeling herself wanting to runaway. Hide. Kory knew she could only do that for so long, just so much… Roy had seemingly nodded, been helpful. There someone else knew, it just wasn't the someone Kory truly wanted it to be. In time, even with the glimpse of pain in her eyes, she would. Even if by chance he'd never want to talk to her or look at her again… Kory reached out and hugged Roy, perhaps partially needing the comfort all the same. He truly could be so caring, even if some would wonder why out of all people Kory would tell him… Deep down he cared more than many would credit him for. Felt his caring kiss upon her head. Arms around her. Held her head between his hands for a moment before he pulled away.
"Kory, I think if Dick was suspicious… He may have his assumption now!"
Kory smiled at Roy's words, a short laugh was risen out. As her green eyes looked down to where Dick was, potentially looking up as Roy had suggested. Seeing them hug. It was just hug, well one she had needed momentarily. Kory looked away, pecked Roy on his sweet cheek and took to the sky above. Gone with the night in a dim glowing star. Not entirely sure the destination, but knowing it wouldn't be forever. Kory would return! By then hopefully know what to say. How to say it!*
Now, here she was! Still with this secret. As her green eyes looked up back into the current moment, after spacing back for short pause. Starfire catching Arsenal's words. 'Loss of life'! Telling Dick, without telling him! Kory dropped any guard at that point. Whether or not that had been enough for Nightwing to know, she could feel his curiosity rising. Could almost feel his eyes shoot like arrows in her very direction. Swallowed hard, but still little form of words. As her eyes now glanced at Nightwing. Knew now she had a secret. Felt the trickle of moisture down her cheek. Starfire motioned a hand to brush the tear off, soon replaced by another. Feeling very much now she had shrunken. Tiny. As if she were a tiny pea, without her pod.
"I… I'm sorry… I was going to tell you…"
Starfire managed from her heart, passed her lips. Her broken voice to Nightwing. Looked in his eyes. This really wasn't how she had wanted to, but had it not. Guess they'd never know when she would have dug deep. As much as she wanted to fall or pull him in. His arms. Starfire wasn't sure he would. There were too many ways this could go, but after keeping it from him for as long as she did. Starfire couldn't blame him for being upset for it. If anyone valued honesty and openness it was Starfire… To do this to him was painful. Still with the time and place, Starfire still felt the heaviness of what she had been carrying. As Arsenal spoke again. Starfire at that point had slowly took steps back. Arms crossed at the uncomfortable feeling in her gut again. Hands cupped at each elbow, fingers dug just a little bit, to hold on to something. As Starfire had turned and walked away. Not running away, just leaving that circle. Shielding herself temporarily, but feeling there was little hiding now. Starfire had to tell him. He deserved to know. Walked until she released a arm and placed her hand against the frame of the opening too the room. Didn't turn. Didn't look, but Starfire was sure Nightwing would most likely be tailing her.

Nightwing was on the defense. Furious and had just about had it. With being held back at first by Starfire, it seemed to set him back slightly. Yet, his words has said otherwise.
And it wasn't long before Arsenal had stepped back into his face. But this time, his words were reflecting what he had said earlier. His hands on either shoulder of Nightwing. He wanted to shrug his hands off, but Arsenal's grip was quite firm.
Nightwing stood there and took it. Glaring at Arsenal at first as he spoke. But it wasn't until the last part that he really caught his attention. It had something to do with Starfire not saying something to him. And for her to not saying something to him was odd. Something it seemed she would fear his reaction.
She was suffering from a lose of a life? Who was he talking about? It wasn't Donna from Arsenal's words.
This had stopped Nightwing in his tracks. His mind thinking about the possibilities. Starfire had always been rather open with him. But then something started to click when he looked to Starfire.
"Star," Nightwing said as he watched her back away.
He looked to Arsenal again, as his grip grew tighter on his shoulders. And his words reflected it all. Nightwing needed to face what was going on around him.
Nightwing slightly shrugged off Arsenal's hands. Not in a forceful way, but in away to say he needed to talk with Starfire. And she was backing further away.
Once he was freed of the little group himself, he followed after Starfire. Once he was close enough, he laid a hand on Starfire's shoulder. "Just tell me what is going on," Nightwing said in a hushed voice.
He wasn't going to say anything against her. She had no reason to be sorry for anything. And she would know that, and Nightwing was not one to say whether she should or not. He was the one causing more trouble for her. Pushing her back to the point that she hadn't said something to him in the first place.
"We can talk somewhere else if you'd like," he said to her. Though he had a feeling he rather speak about what this might be, at home. These didn't seem like a matter that needed to be open to the whole team, let allow if anyone else were to show up.

Arsenal had pleaded to Supergirl as many rational men would have done, least that was what Arsenal thought at the time. When the young teenager held such a grip at his wrist, defiantly were reminded she was much stronger than she looked. As Arsenal's bribes fell to her ears, he was almost sure he felt her relax. Steady, just keep calm. Fraying about, he'd probably end up snapping his own wrist and that… That just wasn't stealth nor cool. Though as she questioned, he could have face palm. Was he really considered too old now. He was a teen not… Wait, as he mentally counted his fingers… Well, it wasn't as long ago as he thought, but hmmm. As Arsenal's eyes looked to the best way to tell his new buddy. Perhaps this could come to the things he could teach her, as much of a tutor he could be. As Arsenal grinned widely and a little aimlessly.
"Its uh… You know a yoga thing. Finding the centre. Meet in the middle… You know the expression. Cool like cucumbers? Is that not us? Are we not two cool veggies of the same patch?"
Arsenal was scrambling for the right words. Somehow to connect, but it possible they were all falling out with silly descriptions. As his brown puppy eyes looked to much more prettier eyes. Pouting just that little tad to what he assumed was his pal. His comrade. Well, slightly younger, partially more like a younger sister, but certainly had felt he was down with her lingo. If not, he could felt he shot himself a little. As Arsenal dramatically on purposed asked if they were not veggies. Yep, put that down to living under a roof with aliens, to point out the human expressions were often far more silly. In this case slightly different veggies, but Arsenal learnt long ago it didn't matter how much space was between your friends, there was always a place in the middle. Of course Arsenal was sure if not for Starfire's presence. Supergirl would have still released him. Least he like to think she would have. Gained his footing well enough not to completely knuckle over by the knees, because that would be a little embarrassing. But, did take a couple of moments to regain his breath. Happy to have his wrist unharmed, maybe a little bruising would come, but he'd be able to fire his arrows just as brilliantly as always. Just as brilliant as he aimed and fired his words. He seemed give off the impression to many he was useless, but he was an excellent marksman and brilliant with weaponry. Had aimlessly wiped at the blood, but all was a little on the back burner as Arsenal had step right back into the space. Well as much as the princess would allow him. To truly try to get through to the bird in his hissy-fit. He really really didn't need physical contact. Just as pointedly straight he could be with his words… As bad as they had been fighting and Arsenal was certainly thinking up bunch of names for him, but Dick Grayson. Yes, the man beneath the black and blue feathers. Arsenal still and always would think of him as a friend. If he wasn't so pissed off, he'd use like a brother. With that extra long list of all things they've been through together both as heroes and men, teens. Yep, there were probably many of which Starfire didn't nor need to know. But, there was something Nightwing needed to know. Arsenal had motioned enough to grip Nightwing's shoulder. It was more to add to getting the message through to Nightwing, if Arsenal wanted to toss him again. He would have. But they were a lot a like as much as what separated them. Hearing his own words, could easily be put on him upon a time. That was the point. Sure, Starfire probably knew Nightwing more given the intimacy, but Arsenal knew the guy. It was simple as that. Just as he could tell the message was enough to stop Nightwing in his tracks. Let his hand drop as Nightwing shrugged it off. He did what he felt was needed, even though he knew it could potentially put him in Starfire's bad book temporarily, but knew in the long run would thank him for it. Snapped back a little to reality as Supergirl spoke up. It was the time to step back and let the couple have their space. It was then Arsenal was brought back to his nose. As his hand lightly touched it, felt the tingle and sharp pain.
"Please, tell me it doesn't look like Marcia?"
Arsenal commented. A comment that could have revealed many many things. As he looked to Supergirl, referencing yes, the Brady Bunch. As he sincerely looked a little worried, not that he was that vain about his looks, but certainly a little worried. Who wouldn't be. As he stepped away from the group and found a chair at the table. Collapsed a little back in the chair, leaning his head back to stop any flow of blood, if it indeed was still bleeding. He had bled so much in his life, it was hard to tell sometime. He was sure with all he had bled over the years could half fill a swimming pool. That certainly had a bad swaying thought to your head and he wasn't turned off by blood. Nor gore. No, he liked the gruesome flicks. Holding his nose a little. His right arm came and rested on the table. Legs relaxed, as his swallow breathing wheezed a little from his bruised ribs…

Supergirl gave Arsenal a puzzled look. "I'm assuming these are phases from television," she asked.
She had relaxed right away after Starfire had came in. It seemed much easier to deal with the guys when she was around. It wasn't just a human thing. Most guys seemed to act this way....Or was it what earth did to others after a while?
Any ways, it was not uncommon from what she heard of the tussles between some of the guys in the Titans. The adults seemed to have it more under control at times. All least not to right out attacking each other right away.
After the other two split up, Supergirl committed to saying close to Arsenal. She rather not get into another fight. And it was none of her business of what was going on between Nightwing and Starfire. Though she had super hearing, but she wasn't that noise.
At Arsenal's comment, she shook her head. "You'd be surprised that I have actually heard that one before," Supergirl said.
Not that she sat down to watch the show. She was more into the newer stuff. But every once in a while when she had stay in Smallville with the Kents, it was not uncommon to have older shows on.
"I'm not sure just yet. I can use my x-ray vision to check if you want," Supergirl asked.
She asked for his permission first. After all Kal had been drilling it into her head over no invading people's privacy or space by using their powers.

Post by Kory Anders - Starfire on Dec 22, 2013 19:50:50 GMT -5
There certainly had been a deep sudden feel of space. Not just wash over her, but the group. Where everything had been up in the air, with heat…. Now, it was seemingly trying to crash all the way through the ground, but nothing could be avoided. No, of course not. Starfire knew that. Always had, but why couldn't see. Why hadn't she told him. As her green eyes caught Nightwing's turn from Arsenal to hers. The shear confusion. Concern. Hurt. Felt like tiny, tiny spears hitting her at once. Her eyes had shut that mere moment. Starfire would have to tell him, needed to and knew deep down she wanted to. It was more or less, how. As the tamaranean was seemingly lost for words and backed away from the room. Feeling just that spotlight squarely revert to her. Small, but all emotions still beat deeply. Still fought their way to bleed on her sleeves. Not of course literal sleeves, but not could almost be the time. Her fingers played lightly at the tears catching in her eyes, feeling them grow just that tad. With every little stride Starfire managed to feel. She knew Nightwing was behind her. Once it was said, she knew it would be better, but would it all really be? Her freer arm clutched lightly at her torso, but any real physical pain was gone. Just shear reminders.
There was some sense of ease that washed over Starfire. As the hand from her tears rested against the door frame and felt Nightwing's hand. Dick's hand upon her shoulder. There was never any mistaking how much she really knew him. As her head tilted ever slightly. He was so sweet. So caring. So warm. Just as the very first time she met him, even if he didn't see himself so clearly. She did. Still did, even when he grew distant. There was always something that drew her right back. With everything they had gone through. Could they not overcome this as well? Starfire sure had hope, as she had avoided his eyes, but easily gave in. Turning to face him. Her tongue still felt tied, but a tear that surfaced ran down her cheek. He was here. Reaching out.
"Dick… It… I… X'hal, if only I knew the right way to say it… But, I need too! I…"
As bits and pieces struggled they're way from Starfire's lips. As her eyes lightly dance on and off his own. Her openness, her honesty. Every single thing she believed certainly was fighting its way through. As she stepped away from him. As she least could admit, it was hard simply to find the right way. The right words, but maybe there wasn't… In fact Starfire was sure she knew there wasn't, but that was hardly a reason not too. Starfire couldn't use such an excuse. Not with Dick. As Starfire said simply. Softly and looked to Dick. She couldn't keep this too herself anymore and she would be lying if she said she didn't want him with her in this. It was after all, wasn't just about her… As simply Starfire tried again, but evidently cut short. By Dick's words. To which her eyes opened back to where they were. Her right hand reached and rubbed her left arm. Felt the tightness still catching in her throat. The tremble of her lips. Telling herself this was not another excuse, but perhaps he was right. Though to be honest, she really was thinking less about surrounding audience and simply thinking about telling Dick. The one she needed to tell, the one she was somewhat afraid too.
"I am afraid if I don't now, I'll find another excuse later, but maybe home will be best… I will tell you, I want too… I need you…"
Starfire looked to Nightwing. Looked at Dick. Her words spoke softly and truthfully, not hiding everything else. Starfire had to eventually suck it up and tell him. Though as her eyes looked around the bunker. At Nightwing, was this really the time? The place? Starfire had to question if there really was a right time or place, but this may not be one of those times. With any mission that could be thrown at Outsiders and technically Starfire was dating Dick Grayson, not so much Nightwing… Would it really be fair to unload this on Dick, now? Perhaps when they had the space, it wouldn't be a said and done thing… As Starfire broke the space currently between them. Taking his hand, coated in black and blue. Promising she would tell him. There wasn't a secret big enough, that she could truly keep from him and this secret most of all. He needed. He deserved to know. As her throat catching, but as simply as she confessed. Starfire did need him. As her eye line dropped, how much was he gonna need her after all this is said and done. In efforts to keep this, would this drive him away or was this simply another road block, they'd find away to crash through, together!

"You need to say what," Dick asked in a concerned tone.
He kept quiet as they stood on the other side of the bunker. He knew Supergirl had super-hearing, but if she was anything like Clark...she's stay out of this. And she had proven times before that should when it didn't concern her.
Kory seemed so shaken by what she had on her mind. And this worried him a lot. Something that even Roy knew of it before he had.
Then again, he hadn't been the easiest person to talk to lately.
"Alright. I trust you'll keep your word," Nightwing replied to her.
This is a matter between Kory and Dick. Not Nightwing and Starfire. That was the truth between them on this team. How else would they be able to keep this more business than company.

What? How? As Arsenal half scrambled for something. Trying to grasp at straws. The connection between supergirl and himself. Apparently he was failing quit admirably right now, as in response was a puzzled look. Phrases from television? Ok, was Arsenal's eyes repeatedly blinking right now. If he had the use of his arm, wait the other arm was free. He could totally face palm right now. Perhaps there was seriously in need of some tutoring and right now, Arsenal was sure it was a little both ways. There was no words. None, how could it all miss. Though that was possibly broken with abrupt drop and actually near falling. Arsenal was just glad he was on solid ground and didn't lose the movement of his hand. That would seriously throw them back a few pegs… With the initial heat that exploded in the room, it was remarkably calmed by the two out of this world ladies. Uh, who would have guessed. Then who really could argue nor question the superior females. Of course much could have been helped with the dropping of Roy's bomb, well Starfire's secret. Something told him, Starfire wasn't gonna spill the beans. Great, another reason not to go home… Perhaps he could crash here for a while. He did not need that crossfire in his wake.
With the heat more or less leaving the room. Arsenal dragged his red butt over to the table. That really wasn't much of a drag, but now that he could think more clearly. He certainly could feel more of the damage done to his nose. His face. His head, feeling the heavy sway, of course if the ninjas were gonna attack, Arsenal was sure he'd jump to his feet and hit at least 9 out of ten his targets, but now. He simply crashed into the chair. Groaned aimlessly. Tilted his head back. Remained mostly tilted at Supergirl's words, but his eyes did look. Saw her as much as he could. This, she gets! Arsenal mustered up a chuckle. A laugh, only to regret it a little, feeling it through his nose. Ouch! Ouch! He mustered painful sounds.
"Why should I be surprised? It's probably routine in Kal's place! Remind me, we need to sit down and hang out more… Particularly when I'm not bleeding from my face… Wait, you didn't say no!"
Simply Arsenal questioned Supergirl back, as his darker eyes looked at her directly. Before adding in the amusement, jest and half a intended knowing smile. Well, he really couldn't know, but he wasn't nicknamed the boy scout for no reason. Not to mention he seemed at times old fashioned, not that it couldn't be cool, but come on. As Arsenal winked at Supergirl. She didn't need the silly references nor puns. She fit. More than some… Though as he shifted his head slightly, there could be more sitting down. More hanging out. Even though yes, he was suppose to sing out loud. This was business. Strictly, but hey. It wasn't the first time he lied a little, besides it would help to be somewhat on the same mind frame level… That was as he realised that was kinda the situation. Sitting. Somewhat hanging. Although asking for it when there wasn't blood or some minor wound in the mix, was probably more unlikely in their situation. Well in his situation. She was more or less, her own shield… Then Roy realised she hadn't said no and he missed her shaking her head. His fingers came toyed around his face. Of course with some humour in his voice, he certainly wasn't that vain… Though there was some care factor… Then he paused at Supergirl offering her to X'ray it. Ah!
"Sure, go ahead… Ah, how much is this going to hurt?"
Arsenal spoke through his teeth a little, but more than accepting. He just couldn't really say he's ever had such an offer. Had anyone personally X-ray him so… So, directly. Certainly he was hoping it wasn't broken, just for the shear fact he didn't really have much time for broken anything. Though he certainly cringed, given he really didn't know if this was going to hurt. Not that he couldn't suck it up, but certainly a little worried. If there were side effects.

"It's just the way his family raised him. Small town type, you know? I mean it's nice and all to have the quiet out there, but...sometimes it seems like those old tv shows. Trying to keep everything simple and perfect. I kind of enjoy the more lively side to the city," Supergirl replied to the first part of his statement.
Supergirl followed him...well more of less floated along as he walked. This was one of the only places where she could truly be herself. She thought it was rather funny for the others as well.
At least the humans. They had no powers, and it seemed easier to just act another part. Where as being an alien with powers, you had to try and not use them when you were so used to using them.
"It's just by vision. Of course it's not going to hurt. That's unless I mistake my heat vision for x-ray," Supergirl added with a smile.
Ok, maybe she was just trying to get a reaction out of him at that time. He seemed a bit worried about her powers. And she couldn't help but to poke fun at him for it.
"Then again my heat vision will only kick in when I think of using it, or more or less if I get bad and want to attack," Supergirl said. "Now stay still."
She then cupped his chin with her right hand to keep him still just in case he tried to turn away. She squinted slightly. And there would be very little change to her eye color compared to the heat vision affect.
She channeled her x-ray vision of course. And was able to see his skeletal system as she viewed him. And her own hand in place as well, as she held him chin up slightly.
"I don't see any long term damage. Quite a bit of swelling. I'd say you got lucky this time. Make sure to keep icing it for some time," Supergirl responded after looking him over.
Her eyes going back to a normal look to them. As she was now looking at him to talk and there was more movement to her eyes as she paid attention the the things around her again.

Somewhere beneath Arsenal's red mask, he was watching Supergirl, between the mild shut from the ache at his nose. It felt like sides were swelling, near the cheek. Geez, he could suck it up. Suck it up, he could say over and over again. Wasn't like he wasn't new to injuries, but doesn't mean they aren't still somewhat felt. In most cases annoying. Arsenal did not exactly like being benched. Heck, he could have a broken nose and legs. He find some way to pop it in place enough to keep going. Drag along the floor if he had to, ok maybe that was over stating it, but pretty much would be the go. This, he just didn't need this discomfort, even if on some level he deserved it, but wasn't like he had been the only prick in the room… Now, with it just himself. Supergirl in the room. It was certainly calmer… Listened to Supergirl talk of humble living. Certainly far far away from where they were… Right now…
"I am from the south… Simple and perfect… Everything the real world isn't. On occasion perhaps one or the other, but together, hmmm… Lively side? I never took you for the jumping over the velvet ropes kinda girl! Wouldn't you lose a badge for that?"
Arsenal at first stated he was from the south, as if that possibly a confirmation he knew about small towns or perhaps he didn't. Arsenal grinned, though he did get what she meant, she was assuming he knew first hand? Did he really look like a hillbilly? Looking down, a little bit. He had grown up more in the forests. With native tribes, small town in a sense, just a little more humble, maybe… Even then and now, Arsenal could attest to seeing a whole lot not surrounded by anything simple nor perfect. Not that neither existed, but the world was hardly that kind so often. As if Arsenal said, but didn't feel he really needed to try offering the voice of wisdom. How ever long this kryptonian had been on Earth, he was sure, she'd seen enough, heck even away from Earth. The playful, cheeky expression came to his features, as Supergirl remarked how she liked the 'lively side' of the city, perhaps she meant the faster pace in general, but he couldn't help when it could mean so many things. As innocent as she seemed and sounded. Arsenal mildly commented. He still got the girl scout impression and lets say it wasn't in a totally bad way. Who could't dig the songs of bravery. The skirts, hmmm the skirts. Not to mention the baked goods… Perhaps there was the side that wanted to be a little more on the edge…
"Heat vision!"
Almost could have choked on his words, or one could even hear him swallow that. Holy crap, he mouthed. He had almost forgotten that, maybe that was partially deserved. Played his fingers now more closely to his nose. He wasn't really sure how he thought the x-raying would work, now there was the risk of it not only broken, but blow off. That just would not be a good look. Certainly not the most vain, but well… He did like his nose, at least somewhat intact. Better with it, than without it… Even though catching the smile, she was teasing him, but still. Patting his nose ever so gently. Swallowed deeply again and most possibly his pride even more. Slowly he etched his fingers to his masks. Almost like a bandaid, pulled it off, it really didn't hurt at all, but it was skin tight. Held on like little suction cups. Placed his mask on the table. Least assuming it be easier to tell without his mask in the way, before he recalled she could probably see through clothing… In which case she probably could have see under all masks. Clothes. Bringing his fingers at centre corners, with a faint rub. Revealing his natural brown eyes. The bruising crept ever so near.
"I heard your heat vision can be effected by how you feel, not just when your mad… Like when the sudden rush of hormones come… Do you think you can cope? I don't make it too difficult… I won't move an inch!"
There was chances Arsenal had heard wrong, but well, he was doubting it was entirely wrong, quite honestly it might be cute thing. A hot thing in a good way, who knows. Not that Arsenal was seriously trying to give her a reason to burn a hole in his skull… As mentioned it could spring if she was mad and well Arsenal was certainly not trying to make her mad, he had mostly successfully gotten out of her trying to break his arm… Though it wasn't just if she was mad, he as sure. He offered a knowing look. Catching glimpse as she reached out her hand to his chin. Leaned in to meet it, whilst he dropped his hands, but precisely yet subtly ran a couple fingers against the inner side of her arm. From her wrist to the inside of her elbow, when he mentioned the 'rush', the 'hormones'… Hmmm, perhaps he just didn't do it for her and just too old. As he playfully questioned her focus and added a smile. She was questionably to young for him and he certainly be stupid to even make a move on her… Composed himself then when he said he wouldn't move, dropping his hand from her arm… Supergirl then did her thing, mostly it just seemed she was close to just staring in his eyes. Certainly she was close enough as Arsenal aimlessly stared back with her darker brown eyes. Thank-you, his nose didn't get blown off after all. A smirk appeared as her fingers danced slightly under his chin, let her move it where ever she pleased and confirmed it wasn't broken… His hand motioned for hers before she could remove it from his chin. To take her hand gently into his own, motioned a kiss on her otherwise soft cheek.
"Thank-you… Lucky this time? You seriously think I couldn't take him? Another kick and he'd be shooting blanks for at least a month… I'll do as the doctor says, though I do not have an ice pack with me… Do you happen to have ice like powers also hidden in your arsenal?"
Politely and charming Arsenal thanked Supergirl. Not that he was trying to get browny points, he did like her. She seemed cool. Sweet… Gently reloaded her hand and sat back again. Eyed her amused when she said he was lucky this time… Of course, she who has little faith. They all cheer for the Mr black and blue… He was pretty sure he got a few shots in there, that Nightwing was gonna feel and heck as Arsenal mentioned another kick, he'd not only have trouble walking, he might just have difficulty in general. Arsenal roughly pointed behind him, the direction the two love possibly troubled birds had left. With a wink at Supergirl's words in how to best keep his nose treated. Iced. He could do that, only he didn't have an ice pack with… Although there probably was one in the first aid kit. That probably be laying around somewhere in a place like this, but well he was here already. Supergirl was right here. If she can heat things up, perhaps she had can also cool things down.

"You know what I mean. Everyone views Kal in a certain light and expects the other supers to follow foot. I mean look at Superboy, his temper could level a mountain in moments on his good days," she replied.
At this next comment, Supergirl gave him a slight glance. Maybe some what of a mischievous look.
"Do you really think I'd just stay within the line? I'm super 'girl', not super 'scout'," Supergirl replied.
She was ever so careful when she worked around him. Controlling her super strength and being as gentle as she could when she would tilt his head up to get a better look at him.
His brown eyes caught her attention as she looked to him. So what was what the mask was hiding. She had been respectful of her teammates. X-ray vision to a lower level to see who someone was, was put to the side.
And she knew the Bat-family worked differently. Supergirl had tried it once against Batman when they had first found her once she learned to start using her powers. That and he had a led lining to his cowl, knowing the powers of the Kryptonians.
She made no comment over it, but her light change in her movement would suggest that she noticed. And might have even found him slightly interesting without.
”You might have heard slightly correct. But I don’t go around letting how all my powers are affected by my mind, body or emotions,” she replied.
A slightly defensive move. But not overly upset over the matter. She had a feeling he got some of that information from.
She have a slight shiver over the feeling of him running his fingers along her arm. Of course she wasn’t feeling cold. Supers don’t feel the cold compared to what a human would. She ignored it since she needed to focus. And by the looks of it, Arsenal took the hint that she wanted to concentrate on what she was doing.
Though Arsenal’s next move caught her by surprise as she confirmed no break. He had taken hold of her hand in a gentle way, keeping her close for a moment and then kissed her on the cheek. Slightly stunned by the action, she had her view on his brown eyes at the time. Only the to look away for a moment and stand up straight again. A slight blush coming to her cheeks at the movements between them.
At his next comments she hard to respond.
”That’s not what I meant. I just meant by injuries,” she replied. And then a frown came to her face for an instant. ”You know if you weren’t already injured, I’d smack you in the back of the head for a moment like that. That’s just mean.”
She crossed her arms and looked down at Arsenal. It was a mean thought to think. But she could understand why he would think that at the time considering the fight they just had.
It had been a short lived fuse over the mention of his comment. She wasn’t overly upset about it. And one might be able to tell that she might have been kidding as well to a degree.
”As a matter of fact, I do. I have similar powers to Kal,” she replied.
She walked over to the living quarter’s kitchen and grabbed a towel that had been sitting near the sink. And with a light breath, she breathed out an icy cold that froze the cloth in her hand as she held it up.
”Will this help,” she offered him the towel as she walked back over to him.

There could be something said about a family of girl and boy scouts. As Arsenal half laid out in the chair. Head back just a little, but certainly he was in sights of the young blonde kryptonian, Supergirl as she spoke about the 'family'. Something of which Arsenal could really only grasp at that ideal. Given Green Arrow had more than kicked him out and Arsenal's father died when he was not even two. Lets not even get started on the fact he didn't even know who his mother was or name. Not that he could really sit here and complain about it. It was just how it was, but he never did really experience the whole sitting at the dinner table telling how his day went… Well, maybe a little with Titans, but thats a totally different thing… Arsenal's eyes played light upon her golden head, amused by her words. She really wanted to be the 'rebel' of the group or so it would seem. Though he could laugh shortly at her mentioning Superboy and his temper.
"I think you'll come to discover in most cases, that is just boys in general… Hmmm, you could have fooled me, with your skirt and potential badge of honour. Not that girl scout is a bad thing, but I guess 'super' is undeniable."
Arsenal spoke teasingly regarding the temper of boys. Set back a deep chuckle. Thankfully Arsenal was all man. Least mostly, he could certainly at times been taken by his own temper. As much as he'd openly admit. He could certainly go off, of course not now. No he was feeling less of the temper… As Arsenal smiled at Supergirl's playful come back. In many cases one had to see to believe it, but perhaps she could be the wild child. Arsenal should know better than anyone not to underestimate the shy or so called innocent… Though there was certainly no denying the cuteness factor. Tracked his eyes as he made reference to her suit. The skirt most important. The S symbol on her chest. Hmmm, certainly wasn't a bad look, which ever direction it was meant to go… Super girl. Super scout. Either way as Arsenal said, super was the main factor. From missions to even now, he could see that to be true. With the playful wink. Mere moments before he had taken the motion and slipped off his mask. Shedding that little coverage of his identity. Revealing at least his facial features in the better light… A smirk formed on his lips. Perhaps a little knowing smirk. Although he knew about it less in her regard, than the so called males in her family, but then it is generally harder to hide when your a male.
"Oh, I just expected it, though I dare say ladies are more strong willed than when the many curtains get in the way of Kon and Kal."
Confessed that Arsenal didn't know from first hand or really from any rumours regarding Supergirl. Rather as Arsenal teased heard of the moments in class and just in random everyday occurrences with Kon. As of course titans do speak and keep in touch. Super or not, well. It was not surprising at all, unfortunate for them more obvious. Not that Arsenal was totally knocking them back, but he was guy… It was a guy thing more or less. As he chuckled darkly. Not in attempts to put Supergirl in an awkward position. Being only 17, there was a lot more to discover… His chuckle died, but a smile surfaced as Arsenal had reached a finger against the inside of Supergirl's arm, he caught the ever sight of her reaction. The shiver. It was certainly something. Shortly dropped his hand, but his eyes linger very little elsewhere. It would rude otherwise. With inches away of the young Supergirl attending to his wounds…. There was defiantly an undoubtable kindness there. After the tender reach to meet his lips to her soft cheek. Arsenal leant back in the chair. Tilted his head back a little bit, but his eyes simply watched the surprise. It was rather cute. Even cuter the blush caught in her cheeks. Seems he had her a little caught in the moment. Smiling innocently as he could… Although it seemed she took his words less innocently, he laughed softly at her reaction and mild threat. Which he was sure she was mostly playing at.
"I value my own jewels. Between you and Star, I think I can honesty say I was joking… Though would you really, you could potentially knock out my teeth… I wouldn't completely say no if you just wanted to get physical…"
Not that Arsenal needed totally protect his lower regions right now, but he could openly admit he was joking. Mostly, unless the bird truly wanted a second go, but with Supergirl. Especially Starfire, he could honestly tell would be a hard thing to do without getting the backlash. He really preferred to not tick off the ladies… Though eyed her playfully at Supergirl's thread to smack him, even if he was 100% with that strong hand of her, he was sure he would more than feel it. Would she really try? Offering a mischievous look if she merely look for an excuse to touch him. Yeah, no he was mostly playing then. Who knows maybe just team training, as Arsenal lingered with the pause. Watching Supergirl cross her cute arms. Before she settled into aiding in offering Arsenal something cool.Watched her grabbing a towel… He could merely guess where this was going. Upon her return, blown her cold breath on to the towel. Arsenal could see the frost from here.
"Thank-you… Ah! Ouch! Ok, I think we're good!"
Spoken in kind as Arsenal reached out his hand to take the now cold towel. Even feel the intense coolness through his gloves. With an added smile. Arsenal then motioned the towel towards his face. With a little swallowing of the lump in his throat, he put the towel against his injured nose. Cold. It was defiantly cold as Arsenal immediately reacted, easing the towel and feeling the sting. Until he was confident it at a distance it was soothing and he had gotten use to it.

"Yes, but that's the thing. We are like everyone else. I mean even the other heroes have their stories. I feel like we're more out of place than the rest at time. Considering we only have, as far as we know, one true weakness," Kara spoke honestly.
She was feeling a bit awkward opening up like this to someone as much as she was. Maybe there was just something about that moment. Someone on a different level. He may be human, but he was on the side or the outlaws as they would say.
Kara looked down at the large 's' symbol on her chest. The same symbol as her cousins. She had an image to keep, she knew that. They represented each other when they wore the symbol.
"I guess your right in ways," she realized what he might have meant.
Kara caught sight of the wink. Then a smirk. Was he hitting on her in ways? She did not let a questioning look come across her face. Though it was rather amusing for the time being. After all they were on the same team. And would be seeing a lot more of each other in the near future. She was sure of that.
And by his actions so far and that day, it seemed there would never be a dull moment between the mix of heroes on this team.
"I've noticed that in today's unfolding events," she recalled.
She wasn't being judgmental at all. She was just recalling the fight from moments ago. Though in a more light hearted way.
”Don’t press your luck,” Kara replied to him as she walked away.
One return with the towel. She could help suppressing a laugh at his reaction to the cold. Then again, she did not feel the climate affects like the humans did. All that matter was the light from the yellow sun, it was what brought her strength. Without the light she’d be weakened.
”What? Can’t take a bit of cold,” she asked.

“Hate to interrupt this moment of bonding, but I need a quick chat alone with Arsenal.” Suddenly spoke an unmistakable voice from the shadows of the room’s darkest corner; its grim tone familiarly deep, gritty, and dark.
Didn’t matter how the Bat had managed to slip effortlessly past the heavy security guarding the Outsiders’ base of operations. Didn’t matter when the Bat had managed to gain access inside the main room where both Supergirl and Arsenal were located completely undetected. Fact was, the Bat was now there and was clearly in his standard “chipper” mood. Surfacing from the shadowy corner, Batman silently stepped forward coming into sight before both Kara and Roy.
It was extremely rare for Batman to interact with any of the Outsiders’ dealings, let alone give visit to their home base. Darkly armored form shrouded by his pitch black cape, his lightning white thinly slit gaze seared into both Kara and Roy who sat at the table before him. Though Batman only saw the two Outsiders team members currently within the room, he was very well aware of the presence for both Nightwing and Starfire being located rather close nearby.
“Mind giving us a minute?”
Shifting his razor sharp gaze to now focus solely on Arsenal, the Bat folded his arms over his broad chest signaling for Arsenal to step away from Supergirl to have a private one-on-one discussion.

Arsenal sat just a little next to Supergirl. Close enough he could almost smell her aroma, perhaps better if his nose wasn't so busted right now. Really this was such a charming moment, holding his head back. Holding back blood that drop here or there tried to trickle. Before he caught them. Still listening. He was always a good listener. So he believed, but he was certainly now. Eyes half gaze from his head tilted back. A little awkward, but a little honesty it would appear shining from the young kryptonian, although he could just as much say young girl. So if there was some differing traits. Arsenal wasn't so sure she was anymore alien than the rest of them really.
"You aren't that separate from humans. In the sense that many would view to be human is to be different… I suppose. Most so called weaknesses are more than skin deep… I'm sure in some way. In your own way. You got it bad, just like the rest of us."
Responded in kind as much as Arsenal knew the world. Unfortunately he was still the weaker creature. He was human, but certainly there was something to it in being different. Generally speaking. So Supergirl was just super different… Wasn't one weakness enough? Though Arsenal expected that is a physical weakness. Humans sure had the sudden death looming over their head, unless they were perhaps metahuman, but that was rather superficial weakness when it was around most humans corners. Not exactly a singular, personable weakness. Not all humans just sat in fear of it. There were other weaknesses. Flaws if you were. Arsenal was enough to admit he had an addiction problem, that certainly stemmed a lot more from what was going inside his head, than simply addiction. Extended as Arsenal said to Supergirl there probably was more than skin deep with her. What ever it may be. If she had a love of chocolate frogs or as simple as she found puppies adorable. Certainly not crippling weaknesses, but they were enough to keep her from feeling as disconnected and connected as everyone usually will feel at any given time. Not that he was gonna sit here and try to list out her flaws. That could run him into trouble, but whilst certain flaws weaken us, they also ground us in ways to makes us who we are. Then again really who was Arsenal to really be the voice of reason. Let alone even begin to understand what it was like to be kryptonian, but he could try.
"I usually am! Defiantly super, but you are still a girl… Does Supergirl just mean you are incredibly blessed with power or does it also mean that when you have a girl moment… Its like ten times as much? Do you have massive lumps of girl flicks in a row? Go all out in the spa treatments? Because thats something I might want to see…"
Arsenal chimed in with a rather smug playful response, when she said he was right. Whether or not he believed he was half time, he certainly didn't mind being right. Grinning a cheeky smile, that probably be more becoming if not for the bloodied moment. Before again stating she was super, but of course the girl part was key. Was it not? Sincerely. Although Arsenal certainly teased her with the so called girl stereotypes possibly in over drive, that could possibly be more in keeping with Starfire, but in either case they could kick his ass. Though despite the tease, he was sure through it somewhere, Supergirl was just a girl. Weren't most girls super in their own way...
"I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I don't exactly have a jar filled with four leaf clovers in my back pocket!"
Certainly he had more than deserved the comeback words of Supergirl. Pressing his luck was, well new really. Responding simply he probably didn't have a whole lot of luck to begin with. If he even believed in luck was another thing entirely at this point. Watched causally through half closed eyes, her leave, but eventually coming back. With cold towel and all. His very own frozen towel. Perhaps his luck was changing. Taking the crisp fabric in hand and took it to his nose. As comfortable as that could be, the discomfort was unavoidable a little. As Arsenal smirked hearing Supergirl tease his will against the cold. It was cold and the sting from his nose, but he could bare it enough. What was a little mortal injury… He could contain it enough… Though before the red covered hero could respond. There came almost whistling in the distance, almost would have gone unnoticed, before that whistling grew into a voice. Grim. Gritty and just as dark as the rest of him. Arsenal didn't exactly jump out of his chair from fright nor excitement, but sure there was a little stiffening in his chair. Certainly couldn't say he had expected him, but Batman had a knack with the random popping up like a pop up book. As Arsenal swirled a little in his chair in his direction. Certainly he was almost above being human. More maybe gargoyle like, but that cold breath was unmistakable. Putting down the frozen towel. With a more prominent gaze now. He could mend his wounds later. Arsenal frowned a little at Batman's words to Supergirl, but he wasn't an easy bat to shake. Nor was he the happy go lucky type.
"I'll be fine Supergirl… Why don't you go check on the others? Here… Nightwing might need this more than I do!"
Arsenal expressed assuring Supergirl that he be fine. To perhaps check on the others, if she wanted to, he was sure she'd prefer to step out of this conversation. Maybe. Just as Arsenal rose to his feet. He picked up the frozen towel again to Supergirl, suggesting Nightwing could use it. Perhaps a little teasingly… As Arsenal's gaze drew back to Batman and stepped away from Supergirl. Hardly like a dog dragging his tail between his legs. There was any number reasons why such a bat came calling and so personally. Ok, maybe Arsenal wasn't filed with many reasons right now, but he was gonna find out. Swiping the chip into his hands as Arsenal moved over in the almost random corner of the bunker, just on the offside of the walls of monitors. Computers.
"What's up? I expect you didn't come for a house visit... This? Its yours… I just hope you don't pawn this off to the league. Ollie wouldn't know what to do with it." What really else could the red archer ask, as casually and as curiously as he could. Either way Batman was gonna fill him in. On whatever reason had brought him to his lair. Dabbed the back of his hand at his nose, just randomly at any blood. What great timing the dark knight comes flying down after the fight… As Arsenal rest casually against a large open doorway frame. Arms casually folded. House call certainly seemed doubtful as Arsenal jested though his eyes escaped in the direction Nightwing had gone. The fact Batman wanted to talk to Arsenal not Nightwing there was certainly something up, unless of course he came to gossip about Nightwing. Doubtful how long before Nightwing would know Batman was here. Ramming down the question why is he talking to Arsenal… He needed to know less about the things he didn't know. Like the device that was received from the last mission. Already copied, but handed it over to Batman. Though he expected this wasn't the reason Batman was here either. He could have easily gotten it to him. He could do what he needed to do with it, though it was potentially a rather Outsiders matter than the league or maybe that was just a minor poke. There were certainly things that his former mentor had been better at than him, but well there were also things that Arsenal was better at than him.
