With a very scarse amount of free time, Summer had resorted to waking up at an unbelievably early time in the morning to work out, simply so she could fit it into her active day. After getting out of bed and sliding into a pair of form-fitting spandex shorts and pulling a thin black tank top over her sports bra, the redhead couldn’t help but yawn. Her hair was styled into a tight ponytail that restrained her long, red locks. Not bothering to apply any make-up, she slid into her new, brightly colored tennis shoes and grabbed her iPhone off of the charger. After a good ten minute search for her headphones, she grabbed her keys and started out of her flat and in the direction of the gym where she was registered.
At her arrival, Summer realized that she had completely forgotten to renew her 24-hour gym membership. It dreadfully early in the morning and it was unfortunate that her card was refusing to let her in the gym. After having taken the time to wake up early to get some exercise in before she had to go to work this was overall disappointing. She would have to call later during their service hours and renew it, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to take advantage of the time she had gained. With a sigh, she placed her ear buds into her ears and turned the music up loudly on her phone before placing it in the secure clip on the waistband on her shorts so that she could jog around the city and clear her head.
The crisp, cool morning air hit her face as she jogged, taking note of the colorful sky as the sun began to rise. Even the city was surprisingly quiet as she jogged toward the closest park so she wouldn’t have to worry about avoiding traffic and could simply get lost in her own thoughts. It was this time alone that Summer valued the most. While it was important in her career to stay fit and slender, it gave her an opportunity to think of potential stories and make not of the ideas for future use. The park was practically vacant as she jogged along the marked trail. Summer was lost in her own thoughts, oblivious to the world around her, including a rather large tree branch that manage to trip the news anchor and send her stumbling forward. It appeared as even when she wasn’t intending for trouble the young damsel in distress managed to find it.

Waking up this early had seemed all but rare, but something growing regular over the past days. Let's jut say the nights were filled with business hours or least Roy trying to take care of business, between duties at home. By the time any essence of sleep came in the early hours. it wasn't for long. It was ok though, somethings or someone were more important. Fatherhood had crept up when Roy was least expecting it, but was it possible some things made more sense… Well, his little bundle of sunshine had little intentions to falling back down to sleep, though settled, but it was hard passing up such innocent eyes… So it hadn't been long until Roy strapped Lian in the car and out for a jog. A stroll in the park. There was the logical reasons of skipping the park in Bludhaven. It just wasn't as nice, perhaps a tad smaller and potentially more dangerous at such hours, not that Gotham wasn't dangerous Certainly Roy was potentially armed if needed. Of course this allowed time for Kory n Dick in the morning. Who knew how they were sleeping…. If at all!
After a short trip through Bludhaven. Gotham wasn't far without reach before Roy had pulled up in a space by the park. Quite nice timing, too. The sunrise was just peaking. This really was a reality check, things were different. Months ago he'd probably would have seen thug view merely from some random gutter. To do such a thing now… Would deem unselfish. Popping the boot, pulling out a stroller and with a press of a button. It came together. Just needed a beautiful baby. As little hands reach out, some unbuckling and Lian was in his arms. Soon strapping her into the stroller. Eyes bigger than the world, taking in the beautiful park. Plus being summer, it was perfect temperature at this hour. Locking up the car. Roy pushed the stroller onwards. Dressed of course casual attire. Royal blue track suit pants and a black tank, allowed quite some access to his tats. Runners. Dark shades… After a moment of strolling along, the jogging began. The stroller went along in front with Roy at a decent enough speed. He was pretty speedy when he wanted to be. Though shortly after starting. Something just off in the near distance caught his undivided attention. Causality by the looks, as the girl stumbled. Potentially fallen. With a little more added speed in that general direction… To of course offer. Lend a sturdy hand. This place was quiet and well, possible many others around. In cases the pretty lady was badly hurt.
"That was quite a nasty stumble… Are you hurt? I'm Roy!"
Roy sincerely expressed to the red headed lady. Stopped the stroller nearby as Roy motioned closer, to offer any assistance. Reached out a hand at the mentioning of his name, hopefully seem less dangerous. Going in touching in efforts to help, could lead to slaps. Most likely justified, as pretty much a woman was always right.. That could give many reasons probably to be slapped. Though brown eyes looked over any cuts or marks… Looking to the stroller. Lian made subtle sounds. Least for now. Though there was a first aid kit, if it was needed. Though if it was potentially worse, then Roy could happily assist the beautiful girl to the hospital.

She should have paid less attention to changing the station on her Pandora and spent more time watching where she was going, because pain blossomed in her ankle. A sharp, throbbing pain radiated throughout her foot, causing a whimper to fly from the redhead’s mouth as she landed unceremoniously on the trail. Forcing herself into a seated position, she leaned up and grabbed her ankle, which was quickly swelling to the size of a baseball. “Oh no no no.” Summer muttered to herself, attempting to shrug off the undeniable pain. She was on the air in a couple of hours and didn’t have time for a newfound injury, much less a visit to the hospital. The damsel in distressed rocked back and forth for a moment, cradling her injury for a matter of seconds and blinking back the start of any potential tears. It hurt like hell, but she knew she had to simply walk it off, calling in to work would only result in some ditz intern that was hungering over her current position as head anchor to step up to the plate and possibly steal the spotlight from Summer and she wasn’t going to have that.
Pressing her palms to the pavement, she attempted to get up, only to notice the presence of a man starting toward her. Perfect….someone saw me. Her cheeks quickly turned a bright shade of red that only rivaled her hair color. Obviously embarrassed, she looked up to meet her saviors gaze. “Um, yes it was. I wasn’t really watching where I was going. I think I am fine though, Roy. It’s nice to meet you, I’m Summer.” Accepting his hand, she allowed the man to help her to her feet. She couldn’t help but acknowledge his overall look. He wasn’t bad looking, that was for sure. His body was decorated with various different tattoos and he had a very nice complexion to say the least. However, it wasn’t his skin that she was stealing quick glimpses of. It wasn’t until Summer noticed the stroller that wiped the smirk off her face. He was clearly taken, not to mention, she was convinced that babies hated her despite her efforts.
With a bit of difficulty she got to her feet, only to notice that just the tiniest bit of weight on it resulted in unbearable jolt of pain to shoot up the length of her leg. “Ahh!” The redhead cried out, quickly shifting all of her weight onto the other leg and accidently grabbing the stranger for support. “Oh, I’m so sorry; I didn’t mean-god that hurts.” She winced, limping over to the nearest tree and bracing herself on it.

Noticing wasn't hard for the young archer, that wasn't just because of the fall. More rather who fell. Not to try and sell his charming side. It wasn't like damsels came his way that often… Ok, maybe a little, but each lady had been worth saving. Just as any life was, particularly the innocent… As the little high pitched sounds came from the stroller, not cries, but just little sounds of life. As Roy broke the space to help the pretty red head. Not of course wanting to startle her, which he wasn't entirely sure he was successful with at first. With that little wide eyed look and the red cheeks, how she accessorised, he thought humbly amusing as his eyes lingered on her head. With a friendly touch to his smile. Though it soon showed more concern as his eyes alerted down to where her hand had reached her ankle. With the injuring now more immediate. Knowing she was in pain. Roy didn't hesitate as he crouched to her level. A hand firstly motioned to brush any loose hair behind her ear. Being light and gentle. Traced faintly against her cheek. Assuring some level of trust, checking she wasn't maybe seeing double Roy and assuring no need to panic… Roy was here.. A small smile as she met his hand with her own.
"I should have known, that you were the cause of such a sunrise. The pleasure is all mine, Summer!"
Roy spoke fluently as intended, trying not to sound to much like a cheesy pick up line. Hmmm, maybe possible lyrics. He had a good memory he could write it down later… In fact, there could almost be a tune to match, but such a thing couldn't be rushed… Roy played it with sincerity, he was in base always somewhat a gentleman… Least he liked to think he was, but of course subtly played in some amusing touch in there. With her beautiful hand in his, gently motioned to meet it with his lips. To plant a subtle welcoming kiss. His eyes met kindly with hers, with a shear subtle smile. His free hand had motioned to her ankle, his eyes motioned to follow, but she was trying to get to her feet. His eyes lingered in a curious look, wasn't convinced if she was fit for walking, well her ankle. She was defiantly fit. Slowly. Well he intended to help her slowly to her feet. Rising back up from his crouch. His eyes kept a glance between her face and her ankle. To take this with care. As his free hand immediately help to counter any balance by taking her other hand. Catching the glances she made, were they lingering? Of course they were, Roy. No he wasn't that egotistical, but it wasn't the worst feeling. Not that appearance was everything, but it was something. And Roy could tell no make-up, meant she woke up this radiant. He smirked a little response, it too faded a little as her eyes made for his stroller. His baby on board. Only he smiled more sincerely. Lian was like the arrow in his life and struck him in fatherly heart, which hadn't a clue he had until… Well, really now…
Suddenly with his attention for a moment on Lian. Summer had tried to be courageous, he could commend her for it, but her efforts uttered that distressing sound of pain… Immediately as Summer had grabbed him, he shook his head at her apology. None required. His hands almost aiding to bring her closer. To try to help the support. Let her lean on him if she wanted, but walking… Really seemed to be a push, if standing was any sign. As his hand lingered a little through her red locks. He could have swept her off her feet then, but like the brave woman she was. Had motioned away… Limbing to the tree, that was still stand had lingered in her motion. Stopped in his tracks momentarily Lian began to cry a little, perhaps in sympathy. Least it seemed so. As Roy motioned to the stroller. To comfort Lian, asking if she could be a good assistant, her cries broke enough, but there were still sniffles… As he motioned for a blanket and first aid kit… Pushed the stroller a little closer. Of course Roy went with some speed, so not to leave the damsel to long in the wars. Laid out a blanket on some nicely mowed grass, near the tree and motioned back in shift speedy time to Summer.
"Here let me, take a better look at that… If you don't mind of course? From sounds, Lian is insisting!"
There was probably chance given for her to refuse as Roy motioned a arm at her legs and other at her back. As Roy was almost more assertive, not forceful by any means. Bringing her weigh off and bringing her in her arms. He was certainly no man of steel, but trust he can carry his weight around. There was little strain at all, had there been. Totally worth it. Of course paused in his tracks, offering Summer a grin as he asked her if she minded. A deep smile on his lips as his eyes lingered on hers and between the stroller as he mentioned his daughters name, humouring Summer he'd hope, from Lian's reaction. Roy had clearly not done enough, he preferred not to make any more women upset today or worse… He didn't of course want to create more discomfort, he'd never carried himself to know, but it was only a short trip. As Roy motioned Summer to the blanket set out. With the little added sunrise twinkling in. Set down Summer, hopefully with the gentle touch. So to best look at her ankle. Decide whether a hospital visit was required. Now he was no Dr Dreamy or Steamy, but he knew a little from experience of injuries. He expected it to be a sprain, but only way he was really going to know. Was to help slip off her shoe and process the damage.
