As much as she tried to keep her wits about her, it was becoming difficult. Dick was perturbed at Kory for a phone call, Dick was also on edge due to, well, Selina being here, Bruce, and well, the whole situation. She could tell he was not only unused to wearing a suit jacket despite being raised by Bruce, but the whole...undertone of the evening.
Even Kory was a bit...intereting. Dick must have told her after the phone call. There was no other reason, even with keen observation skills and the certain lineage of her people that anyone would flat out assume she was decended from a feline race.
Or hell. Maybe she was and no one had told her. That would be a keen idea.
Nodding to Kory, Selina neatly procured a card almost out of thin air, and proffered it to the redhead with a smile. "I know this is more of a formality, considering I think you already have my number..." She'd sweetly return, hinting at their prior conversation, as crytpic as it had been with no names, and no specifics. The card had her name, a phone number, some finely written script with her companie's name, and of course, a black cat. As the girl sat, and Dick followed, Selina busied herself with admiring the vantage point of being within the Wayne Mansion. A place she really had never thought to case, or persue, or really delve into. A museum of relics, no matter how much they were worth; it had never interested her. Quite possibly due to the tragic background; something that hit too close to home for herself. Who knew.
But as Bruce turned to her, as if on cue from her own slight touch; a manicured hand to his forearm, she smiled, almost shocked as they continued this...dance of sorts. Was it Bruce, at a banquet speaking to her now with that tone, trying to woo her? Was it Batman, plying her with cute words, trying to find out her protocols? Or was it the man that ever so precariously balanced between mask, and, well, mask that was reaching out to her, stating the years that she had started to first make a name for herself back in Gotham, and the years the two had become somewhat of 'social aquaintances,' and gossip fodder, without going any further?
Well, even that was in question. The rooftops were another story; one that few knew of. Dick, if he were paying attention may pick up on the bodily shifts, the density that threatened to weight more heavily, the lightfootedness of a certain feline procurement specialist.
But she couldn't let his split-second hesitation go without mental note. Was it that hard for him to touch her without his layer upon layer of arm, the possibility of flesh to skin? But it was something new to her, and maybe even to him, despite his track record of woo'ing countless women; his ease in which he could flash a smile, a wad of cash, and some fancy words.
It was a shame those wouldn't work on her. Even if he thought to try. But that wasn't his plan. He was going to evoke something else. History it seemed.
As she turned into him, the small of her back cradled by his fingertips; his hand, she smiled up at him, the corners of her lips raising ever so slightly. "It was seven years ago, nearly. The Marquee fundraiser, if I'm remembering correctly." She'd murmur, the date now seemingly split into two scenes; the younger couple on the couch, and now the two, not so much older friends, speaking amongst themselves.
Oddly, he hadn't answered Kory on their 'item' status, nor had she. There was really no reason to answer that, nor a realistic answer to complete the question. Instead there were now two adults, who had aquainted eachother to so many various charity events, yet held eachother at arm's length, only to engage in wholly different behavior in different masks, in a different backdrop.
Would the two scenarios really be able to co-exist? Meeting those pale blue eyes with her own, she continued, "It's so nice of you to host something in your own home, Bruce. Evading the public eye with your son and his paramour, and your own date..." Running her finger along the side of her nose, she winked, drawing out the end of the sentance. This was saying something about the man who was always about the flashbulbs and gossip magazines.
...was he going to ask her to go steady? Wisk her off to some isolated location, and reveal who he really was?
Hopefully, if Batman were going to do that, he'd at least ask her out in twilight. Then again, she was dreaming. And that was usually folly.

So Kory had slipped a little off point. It was a little hard to keep track just who knew what now. As Kory sat upon the couch, thankfully it seemed her tongue hadn't jumped to over board, it was comforting Dick had indeed joined her. This was why she had come. To give him support in patching things up with Bruce. Here he was supporting her. At least someone here knew who she really was. As she listened in to Dick's words. As it was seeming more clearer to her. Though, there was just something very off now Kory knew as Dick made it clear Selina didn't know of Koriand'r. Her eyes followed to Bruce as Dick spoke, she had expected that he wasn't being truthful. Her green eyes traced back to Dick rathering questioningly.
"Dick, look at me… How can she not know? I left the sunglasses on your bike. I'll find a moment to get them, if I can. You think Selina's noticed?"
There was the very gentle touch of her hand upon Dick's arm, to guide him to her request. To look at her. She wasn't hiding in any shape or form. Her eyes were not covered. Surely had Selina really looked, there had to be questions. Kory could just shake off that her skin was a tan, but her entire green eyes, there be less a chance she could put it down to contacts. Dick could be forgiven. It actually was a sweet thought, he was perhaps so used to her like this, that it just slipped his mind to remind her. It made her smile. Not that it bothered her whether Selina knew or not. What really could she do? Other than to attempt to claw her eyes out. She would make a point to avoid eye contact if she could without being rude as she told Dick her glasses were in position on his bike. All the way outside. Kory might as well, even if it was too late.
"I have to admit I expected that was what Bruce was doing, I just would have expected more respect, is all."
Kory spoke softly in response. It was maybe a little over reaction from her part. Bruce more than likely didn't mean it, but he just wasn't open. Being a little more aware of who exactly was around him. Really when she said it, she wasn't too surprised. There was really nothing he could give, that Kory wanted, but she would give Bruce the benefit of the doubt. He was Batman and Kory did respect him. Even looking at him, it was silly not to, but it was hard to feel any real warm from him. To really like him. They were from different worlds… Then Selina motioned. This wasn't a very Kory thing to do, to avoid eye contact, but she was trying to do it that hopefully Selina didn't notice. Though a defiant glimmer came to them or maybe that was the glow of her starbolts? As the card was presented to her and Kory very keenly took it. Oh. Kory smiled sweetly as she was sure Selina was referring to the phone call.
"Wow, X'hal. Thank-you. Well not personally, but that was good times… Forgive me I don't have one of these fancy cards… Oh wait…. Will this do?"
Still trying not to look to long, the shy act was not really her act, but could be mistaken for her sweeter act. As Kory did very sweetly thank Selina. Taking very good care of the card in hand. It was very cute. Very professional. Kory smiled as she mentioned the call had been quite enjoyable and happily nodded. Looking between Selina and the card, Kory mentioning she didn't have one. Then she remembered with a smile. As she took a short moment to go through her bag. Ah. She muttered, as her hand fiddled with the cards with Dick Grayson's number on it or maybe it was his old number. It was questionable how long Kory had kept them, amongst everything else. She remembered all the titans got one. Or maybe it had been a joke and somehow Kory ended up with them all. Smiled sweetly down at the card. It was a kind gesture, at least Kory thought so. A little less worrying now where to put Kory's eyes, as Selina went over to Bruce. Placing the new card in her bag, spotted the cat. She was Catwoman, not that Kory already knew it.
At least Kory hadn't freaked everyone out with her space knowledge. Though she was sure she had been nearing the tipping point. Dick's silence. The way he had stiffened. Though now as he looked to her. As if apologising, but it wasn't his fault. Yet his caring nature was a warming feeling. Her eye shifted over as Bruce repeated Elephant. He must have overheard, but her eyes returned to Dick's. With a more reassuring smile and her hands wrapped gently around his arm. As she motioned a soft kiss to his cheek. Joyed that he then accepted her hand. They were defiantly going to need to be in this together as always. Before she could respond to his words. Then fell in Bruce's voice and words.
"Thank-you, Bruce. It was only an expression… Did I say it wrong?"
Kory kindly thanked Bruce, not that Elephants were in anyways not beautiful, but it was a sweet gesture. Though she hadn't meant to say it in that way. She innocently added and looked to Dick, it wasn't new she would say them slightly off. The sensual meaning was usually there. Though as Bruce had gone on. Credit? What did he mean? 'Bringing her home'. OH! Kory looked to Dick, of course. New York. Smiled amusingly, so Bruce did know about the borrowed 'car'.
"Oh, you mean about the Jeep! Yes, thank-you very much, Bruce. I think we just got everything to fit… The carnival was so much fun and felt amazing to have everyone back in New York. It defiantly felt like home… We need to do it more often. We miss you!"
Kory said it with heighten tone in her voice, it had been a guess if Bruce had known, but everything else had purely been their idea, but the Jeep had been very helpful as recalled when they packed everything they could in. Of course it wasn't hard to reflect on it as being a really enjoyable days. The carnival was fun as it always was, but there was just something so comforting just being back with the titans. In that tower with Dick, relaxing by the pool and simply be friends. It was just so easy, that happened when you loved each other and made it very much a home. As Kory tightened a little at his hand, before dropping the need to do it more often. A small hint. Kory was sure Dick knew all the titans missed him, not just her. She after all got to see the most, but the tower defiantly felt the space he left. She knew she hadn't said to much, if Selina asked about the we. Kory could just say their friends. What more could she say? Kory was a little taken back at Bruce's assumptions, especially as if Dick was the way he was because of Bruce. In parts sure, but Bruce was trying to hit place he never knew Dick actually had. For all Kory could tell Bruce wanted the sidekick, more than the son. It ran goosebumps to think at what Bruce had done, was fatherly. To punish Dick for who he wanted to be, who he was and who Kory loved. He was warmer than Tahiti, most of the time.
"If I remember correctly I made the first move, and it took Dick courage to admit what he felt, let alone act upon them. You weren't there…"
Kory began lightly mentioning, she wasn't going to fill it out for Bruce. There wasn't any point. Dick knew. More than knew. It hadn't been any skill. Kory hadn't even understood a word he had said and she found attraction to him. It wasn't from any impression that Bruce could even understand or Kory could simply explain. It was hard to say if it was down just from not being human, but she did know the connection they made wasn't something easily duplicated. It was special. As she sweetly looked to Dick in between her words, recalling it had been more Kory trying to rub him the right way. He was so strict in his ways, quite closed off and quite simply afraid. Not surprising given he hadn't much to compare any of it to. He only thought he knew love. How had he put it, he didn't think he knew anything about himself and sensually Kory was offering that key. She sweetly nudged him every once and awhile, but in the space she gave him. He eventually took the last step on his own and finally accepted what he felt about her. Kory simply looked to Dick as she pointed out Bruce just wasn't there.
"There is no skill you can teach, when fighting fire with fire. One just needs an open mind and a lot of will power. After all its passion. Of course the acrobatic training helps, the flexibility can be extremely satisfying. "
Kory said all she needed to, on point in her mind, but without saying to much. She just wasn't like any woman. She was tamaranean. She was the supernatural being made up of passion. In everything to feel joy and with Dick in anything they did, there was an extreme case of joy, of emotion. He's hardly cold and distant when in the heat of the moment. Kory playfully smiled to Dick, she knew she could generally be a little tough to handle at times. Then in regards to certain skills, Kory couldn't deny his skills back from his circus days. She brightened at the thought, it always made things more fun and she could feel her heart flutter a little more. Her added smile to him. What could she say? She had great desire for him. Just holding his hand brought her peace. No one knew her or tried to understand her like he had. They were both survivors on pursuit of freedom… At least it was conversation, Kory was sure she had kept it peaceful, she wouldn't let it bother her. As she felt the grip of Dick's hand, there was no denying what was there. Kory smiled joyfully as she listened to the plans for tonight. So they were staying in. It could be more relaxing, Kory thought positively.
"Oh how lovely… Will there be any dancing, tonight?"
Kory kindly responded, it seemed like a harmless idea. Not that it was her home, but she defiantly knew it was a home to Dick on some level. It defiantly allow for any reconnection and Bruce was trying. That was counting for something. Kory smiled softly before asking curiously. Before taken away by her buzzing phone and excusing herself from the room. A chance to get out side.
Upon sometime after, Kory did return. With glasses of water in hand, along with the additional coverage for her eyes, but not acting as if it was unusual at all. They were thing black framed, style enough. It was questionable whether they went with the dress, but then Kory was always a rebel. With her smile all warm and inviting again. Alfred Kory was sure was shortly behind with a try of beverages. Kory had taken pursuit of the kitchen, to offer help to Alfred and perhaps pick up some new tips. It couldn't hurt. Soon Kory took a seat back on the couch and kindly offered the glass of water to Dick.
"Well, seems everything is going well at the compound, Vic said to say hi. He also told me to hit you, but I rather not… I hope you don't mind, I thought we might need these… So did I miss anything?"
Kory happily and casually commented in regards to the phone call, the compound was of course her trying to make it more light hearted and well amusing. As if she meant her work as far as a model, but really meaning the Titans Tower. It really was open, Kory smiled sweetly to Dick as she passed on what Vic's greeting to him, but she figured it be safer not to deliver the mild hit to his shoulder. Sometimes she didn't get the boy code or whatever it was that required to be hit when greeting a friend. Before Kory mentioned the drink she was offering. It had been a feeling she had, that he might need it. After all it was just water and she was simply being caring. Before her now shaded eyes looked between the room with her smile as she asked if she had missed much. She was sure she hadn't been gone that long.

Dick was a bit confused over Kory's questioning over the sunglasses and all. He wasn't sure just what to make of it at the moment. There was quite a bit going on it seemed.
"Just ignore him on it. This isn't exactly what it seems," Dick said to her in his hushed tone yet again.
He looked to Selina over the mention of having her number. He knew about that phone called. And knew Kory had picked up more so on that after the matter of someone like Selina calling him. Hence his explanation to Kory over the matter.
"Kory, you still carry that around with you," he said.
His eyes catching the card she had pulled out. He had no business cards that he knew of. But upon seeing it, he knew what it was.
"You know Roy was only playing around when he handed those out...Then again it did help in ways when we went out clubbing," Dick said more jokingly over the matter. Trying to relax a bit more now.
Kory would know what he meant. They were between a joke in a way. Because sure Roy had done that as pick up cards, but for the team it actually had come in handy when they needed to get in touch and couldn't reach the masked figures. As for the clubbing joke...Dick was falling back into a relaxed mode almost. But still not letting down his guard.
Though he knew Kory would know he was only joking. But in all honesty, though he would never say it to Kory of course. It had been a help at time when he and Roy would go out partying during this senior year in high school and freshmen year at college before Dick had tied himself down with Barbara to go more steady. Look how that ended...
Dick wasn't surprised in the least that Bruce was keeping check on everything that was said. He may not act like he was taking notice to things around him, but he knew it was for him to know Bruce well enough. The guy never shut down his mind even in the pleasure he was taking in have Selina Kyle by his side and in his arms, literally.
It was still an awkward situation, seeing Gotham's notorious cat-burglar in the arms of Gotham's finest detective. But it was no doubt to him he had see it coming. He knew Bruce well enough and had seen it many time before. No matter how much Bruce ignored or denied it, Selina and Bruce liked this game of cat and mouse they had going on.
Sure they could ignore it themselves and act like nothing was going on. Dick may have been young at the times when Catwoman and Batman seemed to be playing these games. And Batman would let Catwoman slip away at times, but he hadn't been stupid then either. He knew what they two were playing at. It wasn't hard to see the desire between the two, though they might not admit it.
But Bruce's next comment drew Dick away from his apologizing to Kory over the matter if he seemed withdrawn from everything. That was the air-headed playboy speaking out of Bruce. And he knew it, but he rubbed it the wrong way when he said it. Kory didn't know the ways and many faces of Bruce. She didn't know the acts he put up to protect his secrets. Or more so protect himself from others getting close.
Dick shot Bruce a look almost of knives over bringing up such a subject. He wanted to tell Bruce he really was starting to make himself looked like just like that arrogant, cocky playboy that most in the Bat-family knew was a fake. But Dick had a few other words in mind over the matter. He wondered if Bruce wasn't just trying to get Dick more annoyed. Or just raise a reaction out of him. Sometime it was hard to tell. And this subject wasn't something that had ever really been brought up between any of them.
"Not what he meant," Dick said under his breath to Kory over the matter of the jeep he had taken without asking Bruce a while back to barrow for a get away. Something he had done before he moved to Bludhaven. A night he had taken off with no contact to any one after Barbara had broken up with him.
At Kory's words and actions over their past, he gave a slight smile of knowing and remembering. How could he forget. Kory had been his first love. And it never really seemed to die between them over the years. Which would explain part of the situation over what happened for the split between him and Barbara. Something Bruce probably didn't know all too much about. But might recall over the matter of when Kory came back to town and Bruce warning him not to play with the hearts of two.
But the last part he sent a glance at Kory said some what said, not a good subject to bring up. Him and Bruce had gone through a sore situation back then. The time when Dick had started to grew apart from the dynamic duo. It had been notice by Bruce during the time and had only elevated to the point of him getting pushed away. And Dick leaving the mantle of Robin. Or maybe more so, being forced to.
"Kory," Dick said out. His face going a bit red over the matter.
How she had said it, everyone would know exactly what she meant. And right about now, Dick could go after Bruce for bring up the subject. Then again this was the Bruce Wayne the public knew.
Though he felt like he could hit his head against a desk over the matter. This was not the ideal conversation he would want to be having with his 'father' at a dinner event with a woman that knew nothing much of the life between Dick and Kory besides that they were together. But know she did.
He knew Kory hadn't meant it to be cruel to him. She was just being her open self as usual. Something Dick did not mind. But the information being put out was not something he often like to share over private matters.
Even the times with the Titans things got around quickly. And most of them would take a hit with jokes against their fearless leader. Only for him to put an end to it with a glance that it was not a time for joking around.
Dick got part of the reason for Bruce's invitation. And he knew there might be more to it than just that of being all together and getting to know one and other better. He didn't care is Bruce picked up on his irritation over the phone call.
But Dick reined himself back in. Not trying to make much of it. For all he knew it could be his friend Victor and not the wolf man he knew.
Dick sat back. Trying to draw himself out of the situation. Bruce and Selina seemed lost in their own world as things went on. Right now Dick just wished he could slip out quietly. Since Bruce and Selina were so busy with each other, he was sure they wouldn't have noticed.
And he actually had thoughts and was about to do so to escape to the kitchen to catch Alfred maybe. It was like many times at charity events that he had done such a thing. When it came to the whole social events, Tim had even seemed to picked up on Dick's bad habit of disappearing from the crowd. Only to be found hanging around in the kitchen chatting with Alfred over the manor if he wasn't busy ordering around the other employed servers.
That and the kitchen was a great place to get away. And the food was all there before it was offered to the other guests and thing would run out fast. Though many of the times, Alfred had pushed the boys back out of the kitchen and into the party again. At least Dick knew things hadn't changed by what Tim has said about the events and Alfred warning him that if he was to stay in the kitchen then he better have more reason rather than avoiding people otherwise he could go up and do his homework.
Not that Tim didn't like school, but it was often something the bat boys shared, they preferred their night life. But compared to Tim where homework could be a relaxing thing when it came to solving problems and not minding it so much, Dick would often be out and on his way if there was a mention of homework to be done.
When Kory had reentered the room, he noted the sunglasses. And her words. He relaxed more so now knowing which of the Victors she was talking about. And just what the situation was slightly. So it was a Titans thing and not the wolf man. That was much needed information for him to know.
"Thanks," he said as he took the glass from Kory.
"And you didn't miss much at all," Dick said. His expression to her would read that he had been trying to stay unnoticed while the other two seemed lost with each other. He took a large sip of the water. Wishing it could only wash way the thoughts of tonight and the questions to come.

"You remember."
There was a flush of warmth in his tone. One that seemed out of place, even for the playboy billionaire. His eyes, typically dull, with an all-too-obvious look of feigned interest, seemed genuinely pleased. She had remembered. For a second, the masked vigilante's signature flashed through the playboy guise, like a streak of light in an endlessly black sky. A lip-twitch. The most tiny, infinitesimal pull along the edge of his mouth. Then, as though trying to compensate, but having done too much, the twitch blossomed into a full-blown smile.
Then he winced. The smile froze, and his eyes grew hard. Selina was right. How unlike Bruce Wayne to invite them into the privacy of his own home, away from the prying eyes of the journalists and the relentless flash of the cameras. Still, he could tell she was teasing him. Toying with him the same way she had, as Gotham's notorious cat burglar, on the empty rooftops. Like always, he merely stood there, taking her jests with a stunned and powerless silence. But no, it was just a minor error on his part. One that he could easily remedy and turn in his favor...
"Maybe after seven years, I've gotten bored with the same old games. Still, old habits die hard, Ms. Kyle. Sometimes they never change at all... But if they do, it's usually for a beautiful, well-endowed woman with pretty eyes."
He winked. A cryptic statement. His way of saying that there would not be a repeat.Or that he might yet change, but never completely revealing for whom. He was Bruce Wayne again. Playboy, womanizer... The man who had broken down courtship to a science, and taken wooing to an art. He reminded himself: This is Selina Kyle. Selina Kyle is a woman. And I understand women. So I must understand her. She is playing on my field now, in my home. I came prepared. I have knowledge she does not. This is my home field.
"Flexibility, huh? Maybe you need to teach me a thing or two about that, son. I'm sure Selina won't mind."
Bruce was speaking with Kory now. Still, his fingers remained curled firmly along Selina's waist, drawing her body gently towards his. Now that he knew who she was, the magnetic pull he always felt towards Selina made perfect sense. And now, it was stronger than ever. A boyish smile, as though to make light of his teasing from earlier. Then he turned towards her, the bright green eyes like a pair of whirlpools, drawing him in... Indeed, it seems whenever she is around, he can't help but find his attention gravitating towards her, whether it be during the various charity events they had attended together or the sporadic rooftop rendezvous.
"I'm sure Selina wouldn't mind a dance later. For old time's sake."
That was when Alfred returned from the kitchen. He swept his hand, gesturing for them to follow. Dinner was ready. The table was set skillfully and the lights dimmed to perfection. Now with his arm looping around her waist, Bruce led her to the kitchen, continuing to chirp on cheerfully about Dick's incredible flexibility and how proud he was of him for bringing home a woman with such exotic features and striking eyes. Of course, he made some foppish excuse, claiming he had heard somewhere that eyes as beautiful as hers were a genetic anomaly. Something some doctor on television had said. But he personally preferred, no offense intended, the pair of green eyes locked on his right now, as they strolled with bodies touching to the dining room.

Selina had deftly tucked away the card from Kory, polite enough to not comment on her curious placement of sunglasses. Of course Selina knew who she was, but...then again, it usually wasn't polite conversation to out someone's alter ego. Or vice versa. Or whatever. It was become more and more difficult to concentrate on what Dick and Kory were bantering about with Bruce pulling her closer to him, her own body nearly melding to his side, perfectly. Not that she'd ever admit that, that she was willingly letting Batman paw her like she was one of his rent-a-models....but this was in his own home. No paparazzi.
Much unlike his normal face as Bruce.
...curious.
But as he prattled on, joking, his eyes lighting up, she had to wonder what sort of merit his words held. Their dance years ago? Did he mean the real dance..or was he hinting at....her eyes? Selina blinked a few times, glad for once he was showing her where to go, ushering her from one room to the next. And all she had to do was smile, and nod.
What was he doing? Was he purposefully trying to stall her? Get her off her own game? Did he even know who he had his arm curled around at the moment? And if he did....what the hell was he thinking was going to come of this? Inviting Gotham's premier Cat-burglar into his home? For a personal ...date? They'd been ...mere friends at most gatherings. Their snide, glibe comments behind their flutes of champagne, going on about so-and-so's whatever, their back and forth bets they've done before at the auctions.
But for him to be Batman..and pulling this? She continued to blink, automatically taking a glass of wine as she sat down. Dancing? She may have been a bit distracted, but she beamed at Bruce when he mentioned that.
"I would like that, maybe after dinner. For...old time's sake. And to think, no one to flash a camera, and no articles in the gossip magazines tomorrow!" She teased, taking a sip of the rich red she'd brought, and Alfred had expertly decanted for the four of them.
While she may be distracted, she wasn't going to lose this game. If he was going to tease her, try to bait her as he'd done on the rooftops, she wasn't going to give in to it. She might have to have a chat with Dick. But the one thing she couldn't keep off her mind was how Bruce had smiled. And not only smiled...but how he had smiled. How it was almost imperceptible that his lip...twitched. And as that thought hit her, ever so carefully coinciding with her taking another sip of wine; she choked; coughing up a bit of red wine into her napkin in a fit. Damn men.

Kory Anders. Starfire. Koriand'r. They all one in the same. If she pinched her skin, it always felt the same. Though she was on earth. She was considered an earthling? To some, but she just wasn't afraid. She accepted it. Kory had to if this was to be her home. Kory smiled softly at Dick's words, this was after all for him. Nothing was going to change the fact Kory didn't see eye to eye with Bruce on certain things, but it was something that he was trying. This was a positive thing. At least Kory hoped it would be. As Kory was more than happy to exchange the numbers. Well sort of. As Kory playfully blushed at Dick's remark. She kept his clothes, was it really a stretch? As Kory carefully straightened the extras she had back in her purse. One remaining in hand as she smiled softly down at it. As she caught the joy within his voice. Amusement.
"And good thing I did... The little Robin is just so cute."
Kory happily admitted as her hand gestured as Selina tucked the card away, for moments like that as she lightly gestured to Dick. Of course she knew they weren't real, but it was the thought that counts. Before etching closer to Dick, where before she could faintly feel his hip touch her own. Now her shoulder was touching his and half leaning in. As her hand lightly traced the robin on the card, it was defiantly a beautiful touch. As it made her smile just add a little extra. As her eyes shifted between him and the card. Sharing this moment. As she naturally leaned into him with more content and her leg claiming some of the space on his lap. Rolling her eyes playfully at him at the mentioning of Roy and what he did. As she motioned to rest her head casually at his shoulder, feeling the comfort with him and enjoying mostly being with him. Because she knew the underlining. He used these to kill the space when she left, she couldn't be mad and honestly couldn't blame him. He had tried as she had given the situation she was forced by the laws of Tamaran. Though as hard as she had tried to forget him, every touch her husband had made. Kissed her, all she saw was Dick and imagined it had been him. As Kory softly giggled by his neck. Everything and more she had hoped. Was here.
"I know, Roy isn't as secretive… Oh, when you were out digging the scene. Its what friends do… Repair your broken wings… By the way did you find your nest?"
Not that Kory was a touch jealous, she could see the good side of it and laugh about it. As Kory played over the card in her hands. Roy had told her enough, whether to make her jealous or for some sort of benefit, in the end he was a friend. Least someone was trying to cheer him up as Kory kindly voiced. Actually was quite an amusing thought. There had always been ways to throw off the public even when they were dating, because Starfire couldn't be dating Nightwing and Dick at the sometime. Of course they used Mirage to their benefit with that. As Kory half referenced the pick up lines Roy had vaguely told her. As Kory playfully asked referring to the one where he had apparently fell out of his nest or something along the lines. Kory softly giggled, she could see Roy all over that, but still was quite cute. With a little more finger play at the little Robin, she joined the card back with the others in her purse. Before kissing him sweetly on the cheek. As her hands took hold at the arm closest to her, with sweet affection. As she felt Dick relax. She knew her company was defiantly desired and rubbing him the right way. They were two titans. Gone through so much. X'hal knows they've survived worse dates.
She had motioned herself a little straight with her words with Bruce. Not entirely sure it was much of a conversation. She felt the stiff moment beside her. Kory might not know Bruce in ways or his sides as Dick did. To Kory he was just so cold. No joy. No Passion. Mostly Kory didn't admire how he toyed with Dick's emotions. Drilling him to FOLLOW the rules. Such discipline was what made him a great leader. In doing so Kory knew Dick was wanting to win Bruce's affections. A father. His love, when it never came. They'd fight, In feeling the emotions now. Bruce's arrogance, he was trying to claim control. Trying to claim the benefits, when ignoring the fact he should claim the damage. There was no wonder why Dick blamed himself so much on things he didn't do. Kory stopped short for a moment as she caught Dick's words. That hadn't been what he meant as in 'home'.
"But this isn't home. A home is love. Like curling up on the couch with friends, with the sense of belonging… What's the saying? Where your heart is?"
Kory simply stated with no hesitation, not in disrespect. The mansion was nice, but it wasn't home. Not to her and she was pretty sure it wasn't for him. Knowing he only came because she was here. As Kory expressed what home should be like. Like the embracing of a hug. Mostly it was the Tower. Even if they weren't there or left it, didn't mean they never had a home to go back to. Or the family wasn't apart of them. As Kory felt the double meaning as she used the many times their friends had simply joined together on the couch and it felt like the most safest place in the universe. So comfortable and it didn't matter so much if you were an alien. A green dude or a half a robot. Or were a sidekick or felt you hadn't a place. Titans made their own. A home as Kory was well aware she was curling up to him on a couch right now. Oddly how it usually was back at the tower. As Kory lightly play upon the home if where you heart is line. As smiled softly. Bricks fall. Cities crumble and even on occasion planets explode. A friendship like this, not so much.
"It just isn't right, Bruce taking credit… He doesn't get it. He doesn't know the sides that I know."
Kory commented to Dick as he spoke her name as he had gone red. Quiet. Kory wasn't ashamed to say what she had nor say more. If anything it had been Bruce, his inner voice that had made Dick not take that leap sooner and made him question with his head, before trusting his heart. Kory recalled when Dick did open up. It had been an effort at the beginning. He was scared. Of her. In the way he didn't know anything about Dick Grayson and when Kory had kissed him. It hadn't been the masked Robin. She had kissed the man. Seen right into him so easily and he hadn't expected that. Though its not like a tamaranean falls from the heavens very often. Koriand'r had been alone for so long. A slave. She was so young when she had been tortured. Abused. Hurt in countless ways. Pushed to limits that it took everything inside her not to break down and give up. She survived and escaped. Fell to Earth and fell in love. As Kory looked to him sweetly. She hadn't meant at all what she said in a cruel way. She knew the sides that Bruce had aided. The sides he had damaged, but Dick was his own man. No one ruled him, save him self and no one should ever. Kory looked to Bruce as he extended upon the whole trading tips thing. It really wasn't something Kory cared to envision. It just wasn't natural. She frowned at the tone of son. As if like property. A son you cherish not use him and abuse him. Bruce was missing out. Though just with the thought was when her phone buzzed.
"Well, with Victor's help… There maybe footage… I mean its a surprise!… But I can assure you, Dick has the natural touch and most of all it isn't cold."
Kory bubbly remarked at the possible reasons for the call. As soon as she said footage. Kory shifted her gaze a little, before saying too much. It wasn't set in stone yet as Kory smiled softly as she said its a surprise. No. No idea. Kory was sure as she half smiled to Dick, before Kory added a comment to Bruce, hoping that would stop him from wanting his unattainable like ability. Knowing he wanted it more the other way around, but he'd never be like Dick no matter how much he blinked. As Kory didn't linger before leaving. To answer the call. It was defiantly good to hear a voice of truths. No long. Kory had returned. With the water in hand as she happily offered to Dick. She knew him well. This was awkward, but it wasn't the end of the world. This was a date. As Kory had momentarily took her spot back on the couch. Kory smiled softly at his word. Not really surprised not much was missed. Though in his words, she could half feel he was thankful she was back. It did feel the hint like walking into a dark den or a dark cave.
"Cheers!"
She spoke as Kory motioned her glass of water to his own. For that little sound. Not entirely sure what the toast was, maybe for survival. Though in doing so. Her glass swirled and water splashed a little out of her glass. A little on her dress. Maybe the couch. As she looked a little disarrayed.
"Ahh crap… I mean excuse me… The language these kids use can rub off."
Kory let slip as her hand gently motioned to be rid of the escaped water and realised she had said something quite. Well. Human of her. Though. X'hal wasn't far behind in her mind. As she politely and rather amusingly corrected the slightly out of place words. Kory lightly gestured it down to the influence of the new recruits, but it probably wasn't entirely true, she's lived with Roy. Even Dick on occasion. It seemed more so or was she just getting old? The concept seemed rather silly. That was when she heard the mentioning of the chance of dancing. So there could be fun had. She had promised Dick there be dancing tonight, in someway. Soon with Alfred here. The announcement of Dinner. Soon Bruce looped his arm around Selina and assuming they were going to the dining table. Given Kory had helped with the finishing touches. One just needed more candles. They helped finish off the room. As Kory's free hand took to Dick's. Before taking to their feet. Smiling softly to him. Almost hear the catching of his breath. As if this was some sort of battle. The tenseness. Kory's fingers played at the corner of his mouth. The mild water stain and that instinct that made her care about him.
"Don't forget to breathe. I'm here… If we're going dancing. I did hear of a new club in the city, Wally suggested to check it out. So it should be fun."
Not that he needed the encouragement. He was Nightwing after all and who knows, maybe future Batman himself. Whatever mask. He would always be Dick Grayson. The Flying Grayson in his heart. Taking the moment as she assured she was here for him and kissed him deep on his lips, to make it known. He may not have known who Dick Grayson was when she met him, but he knew more of himself than he ever did before. Kory smiled as she retreated her kiss. Enough before regaining more volume in her voice as to add to the suggestion of going dancing. Not that they couldn't dance here, but it sounded like fun. Even had a disco ball apparently. As Kory followed through to the dining room. The date had barely begun. As Kory motioned to the apparent seating and placed her glass of water down. The smell of the coming food was defiantly making her fell hungry and some feeling of comfort.

"What do you mean secretive? I've told you about the times we went out clubbing when you asked," Dick said.
He was keeping a mild conversation of being secretive. And just with a bit of humor more between Kory and himself. She knew what he did. And compared to Roy, Dick didn't make a fool of himself like his best friend did. But they had a lot of great times going out clubbing.
Dick was silent for a moment. He looked around at everyone else for a moment. Being the more quieter out of the group, it gave him the chance to observe everyone else's behavior. Something his mentor would do at times. But Dick was staying back and being himself. He could do that easily. Him and Nightwing all in one. Dick knew when to hold his tough. And right now, he was thinking it would be best to let it roll off as much as possible.
"That is one thing you'll have to figure out for yourself, Bruce. Besides, it's not learned...it's skill," Dick shot back at the comment over the bedroom subject.
He knew that was a bit of a curve ball compared to his complaining and glares he had been shooting. But better to keep everyone on their toes. And he wanted to make sure Kory wasn't getting all upset about the subject.
"Kory, don't worry about it. That is not a fight we want to bring to the table. At least at a situation like this," Dick said in a hushed tone to her.
He knew what she had done for him. And he knew how Bruce felt over the whole thing of him leaving. But this just wasn't the time or place for an argument. Not when Bruce had company. And that subject was strictly for behind closed doors where they knew who the other was. Not the public setting with other people outside of what would be the vigilante and superhero loop.
As for the Titans...at least she kept that under wraps. She always would. Kory was definitely better at those subjects now a days compare to back in the high school days for Dick.
"Well at least things are working out well," Dick said. "I might have to visit them if I get any time between my studies and work."
Dick followed them to the diningroom. He looked to Selina. She seemed to be settling in well with the setting. Of course she would. She always had between her and Bruce. Well at least as Catwoman and Batman.
Either way, they were all finding their own way between the side conversation between the couples. Which was good and bad a points. Dick was keeping up to pace with everything and keeping track of the conversation. As far as making sure nothing slipped up.
"I see no problem with going to a club. Unless these two don't feel like they could keep up with the pace of the music they play out at those places," Dick said jokingly.
He knew Kory would know what he meant. But he was sure Bruce and Selina might take it as a comment over their age compare to Dick and Kory. And if they did all the more of a challenge in the conversation. Besides Bruce was the one to start the bedroom conversation. So Dick would challenge him on age possible. He gave a smirk over the direction of the conversation.

The table was set. A white, frilled table cloth draped over a table of dark wood, lined with a variety of silver utensils and plates. The plates were shined and polished to a point of perfection. They gave off an aura, not of costliness, but elegance. In fact, everything, from the dim, but romantic lighting, to the classical music trickling along in the background, gave off a sense of wealth and good taste. Generation after generation of good, proper breeding, marked by the large 'W' that existed on every single plate, cup, and piece of silverware. There was no question about it. This was the Wayne household, an empire built upon years upon years of successes, one after another... until Bruce came around.
"Can't keep up? Are you calling us old, Dick, my boy?! I'll have you know, the both of us can give you both a run for your money!"
He exchanged glances with Selina meaningfully, before leading her to the table. The chair was pulled out, and she was guided in, a hand pressed daintily against the small of her back... where it lingered for a second too long. He took a seat beside her, gestured for the other couple to do the same, before Alfred returned with a basket and bottle of wine. The smell of melted cheese and freshly baked bread came wafting over them, and the basket was placed on the table. Bread, with a gooey cheese-filled center, still hot, with wisps of steam rising off of its moist and soft exterior. The glasses were filled with red wine, one for each seat, before he left the bottle near Bruce and returned to the kitchen.
"Though, I'm not really sure if a club is the kind of scene for Selina..." He peeked at her questioningly, then raised his glass to his lips. "You seem so..." An imperceptible edge marked his last word. "...fragile."

Most of Kory's hushed banter between Dick and herself was lost on Selina's ears. No worries. It seemed that the bit of awkwardness between Bruce and the statuesque woman had also been ironed out, thankfully as well. But Dick...he seemed to be uncomfortable. And duly so. If it wasn't the uncomfortable teenage air of bringing your girlfriend to meet the parents, it was the awkwardness of your father figure bringing home a woman. A woman that he knew was someone on the other side of the fence of a nightife kept secret...that he knew, and said father figure didn't. And said father figure was Batman.
So awful. So no wonder Dick was saying little, not to add in that she was now aware of who the man gentle, gingerly guiding her to the table was. Batman...she hissed silently in her head.
Batman, the man she'd joked with at banquets. Batman, the man whom she'd danced with when bored. Batman, .....who'd....wait. Bruce Wayne...who'd helped her in China....shower...
Selina's cheeks flushed deep at that realization, almost missing where he was helping her to sit. And had Dick really made a jab at their age? Not being able to keep up? Batman, -and- Catwoman regularly beat out the younger masks on the rooftops. And what they did have in age only equaled out to more experience. She'd even done him in a time or two when he was Robin...
Not that she could say a damn thing about that currently. So with flushed cheeks, and a gaping mouth, Selina took another sip of wine. Maybe it was just better to drink, and be the pleased guest tonight. But as Bruce shot back a quip, her eyes darted between the two men. Her hand reached for his forearm, fingers lightly touching his fine suit. "Maybe we should let them enjoy a night out at the disco, Bruce." She said quietly. It wasn't like they had things to discuss. And Selina returned to her wine, until he said that.
Fragile? Her?
He had to be joking. And if he wasn't, he should be. Her eyes narrowed to feline-esque slits, a chilly change about her mannerisms. Much like the density change Batman would conjure...her's was palpatable, but different. Her jaw set, she had to suck in a deep breath before she said a word. She hoped he was referencing her 'mugging.' The hospital stay. The cover story and fantastic lie she'd concocted. Not that there was any way that Bruce, or Batman would know the real cause of that incident. Or did he. Her green eyes widened, then flicked back between the two men, alighting on Kory as well for a few seconds before she turned back to Bruce.
"You're too thoughtful, Bruce, to think of me. I do admit I'm not quite at 100% after my accident. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a bit of dancing as well." She stated sweetly as she raised her glass. "To friends."
And to her benefit, she had done damn well in her latest antics. Injury or not. It's not like he had picked up on it.

It was natural. As always. How Kory sat as close to Dick as she could. Not directly on his lap, that idea wasn't completely out of sight nor her mind. As naturally her knees followed. Resting against his own. Quite comfortably. Oddly her return had resulted in them on a couch… Was it this couch… She could barely recall the couch. Kory grinned at Dick's questioning. The humorous tone in his voice. Well he did have a point and it was in the past. Kory could happily find the humour in it. Especially given she was the girl on couch in more than a simple friendly gesture.
"That is true… You were forth coming…. I like the way you said when I asked… I suppose you had to get it out of your system, but like you said its in the past… I suppose I was harder to shake!"
Kory wasn't going to deny it. Nodding with a sweet knowing smile as she said it. With her head mildly sunken into the comfortable cushioned couch. As her eyes playfully ran over his, as she toyed. Playing upon how he said when she had asked. Certainly he would have just come out and confess had she not asked. Kory laughed, almost catching his smug expression, she liked when he was being smart and trying to playfully mess with her. Her eyes close, looked to him as she half repeated his 'its in the past' phase… With the pause realising that was what he was trying to do about her, when she left… But ultimately… Well they were together now. As Kory grinned. Not questioning it. Just stated it because it was true. Hoping the same couldn't be said about the things in his past… Well save the circus. She could enjoy that… Not that it much of a leap from what he did every other night… With him swinging off buildings so poetically. It was astounding how often he had caught her as she had caught him. Despite the little hard time Kory had given Dick… He was forgiven…. Mostly. As her smiles and laughs muffled within the curve of his neck. Before sweetly resting her head against his shoulder. He was comfort and a rush… It had been her that had spoken up. She wasn't really one to just stay quiet… But Dick broke his silence… It was a little unexpected, but Kory was proud and a little turned on by it. Simple. Straight to the point. It was very him. She wasn't sure she could have said it better herself.
"The skills topped with your equipment… It's defiantly… Unique!"
Not that she was trying to add to it. Kory spoke not with great intention whether or not it was heard. As in equipment she of course meant a lot of things… Everything. As Kory's hand came to one of his that was close. Finger gently tracing his palm…. She really liked his hands. With a pausing wink to him as she made the point of calling it. All of him unique. As much as one could try to replicate him. They could only get so close, before they failed. With the smile really not leaving, leaning in and planted a kiss upon his cheek. Perhaps a little gratitude he was trying. She knew he cared about this relationship just as much as she did. They were a team, even if that freaked him out every now and then. He also liked it… Smile turned more innocently as he then turned and talked to her directly. She nodded humbly… Understanding mostly.
"I'm not sure I get the situation, but I understand what you mean. You could cut this tension with a knife, Dick…"
Kory honestly spoke. Her eyes moving between the four. It was too confusing. It was like knowing everyone knew, but they didn't know that they knew. Road blocks. She knew Dick and Bruce fought, but it was hard to know what was happening when they danced around it. Making remarks to hurt, but had little to do with the actual fight… Of course she didn't want to make things worse… As she gathered that was what Dick meant and probably the timing. He didn't need her to take on his battles. She knew that. As soon Kory had picked herself off the couch with Dick in toe. With her conversation mildly coming to their ears. Her arm naturally of course linking with his own arm… She defiantly was going to keep close to him. The tone was certainly lightened as Dick responded about the titans… Least Kory understood… Kory grinned delightfully at what Dick said about visiting. Isn't he fall of surprises… Her green eyes half looked to him and blinked wonderfully. Of course it wasn't for her… He was missed and loved by many.
"Better than we expected… Your coming to visit? I'll make sure to keep it from them…. They're going to be so surprised, so happy!"
Kory added assuring him he was correct. Titans despite the little disbanding. Now with the new recruits. It was defiantly on track. Vic knew what he was doing, but of course a visit from the best leader would defiantly be a nice touch. As Kory questioned him happily. That was a little surreal to hear. As Kory promised to keep it secret as best she could. So their friends could also be surprised. Although she was already thinking of ways to celebrate it, but it was Dick. He wasn't for one to do things over the top. She gathered there be training involved. Of course. Dick would want to know how everyone was shaping up. They were certainly challenging sessions, but certainly with the element of fun. With Vic, no training session was ever the same. Happily Kory took her seat at the table as Dick had certainly offered and sat beside her… Happily smiling more with him agreeing to the dancing. It really was turning into a nice night… Kory paused questionably as Dick then joked. Looking to him amusingly. He was finding his comfort… It was good thing. Kory seemed to understand better now than Bruce and even Selina did. In which Kory humbly giggled. As her eyes questionably ran from Bruce to Dick. Knowing that wasn't what Dick hadn't meant at all. As Kory leaned a little to Dick's ear.
"Is he really that old? He doesn't look that old… He doesn't get out much does he?… Oh, no thank-you Alfred. No wine for me."
Kory questioned speaking softly to Dick in response to Bruce talking about his age. She would naturally assume, if Dick had meant Bruce's age, he would have said it, but of course she was naturally curious as Bruce questioned it. Which seemed amusing to her. As it was hinted through her tone. With slight raising of her brow, to Dick toying with them like that. Kory almost hung her head at Bruce challenging them… Run? What dancing was he talking about? Well if from the looks between Batman and Nightwing. Kory assumed who was the better dancer… Unless Bruce oddly thought it involved running… In which Kory could naturally pull in Wally… Who could run and dance. She recalled the Chippendales dance. Although that was oddly by mistake much to the delight to all the girls in the team. Kory trailed on a little in her pause. Before questioning about Bruce getting out, but with her tone to Dick. She already knew that answer. She assumed that was more what Dick meant along with the skills… Batman always seemed despite fighting, he wasn't the most animated nor jolly persona. He was the one that tried to keep Dick in, but he broke free. Even Jason as tragic as that had ended up, but he still left. Her eyes took noticed of Alfred. The wine. As he came by her, politely refused. After everything she just didn't drink. She had kept her promise. Flying straight defiantly helped, but refusing alcohol could also suggest one was with child… Not that she was… Kory did hear as quiet as it was… What Selina said… Looking to Dick amusingly.
"Let us? Well, I know I'm not the one acting like a child."
Questioned as she looked to Dick… It was a little late to stop them now… If one was suggesting they start parenting. A little unrealistic. There were certain things Kory would do from people telling her. Generally from those that cared about her, but there were also things she wouldn't do… As Kory then commented on the childish acts. Particularly Bruce, given he was the one to start… Despite remarking his age… Whether or not Bruce painted himself 'now' as Dick's father. It was far past from Bruce treating Dick anything less than the respect he deserved… It wasn't like Dick hadn't respected Bruce. He had to of known that. Everyone else seemed to see it. Often all Dick got were scraps of what he really wanted.
"There was an accident? Does that involve the nine lives, Roy was talking about? Oh… Defiantly to friendship!"
Now Kory wasn't sure she was completely in the know… She knew something that happened in regarding Selina needing help, but she hadn't the impression it had been an accident. Nor as bad as it seemed to be. Fighting accident? Were they still dancing around that or this something else… Oddly the conversation about Catwoman with Roy, had made her curious to ask about the nine lives. Trying to convince Kory they were real. Given she was part feline herself, but she just playfully convinced Roy she just was just really hard to kill. Smiling joyfully herself as Selina raised a glass to friends… Kory could defiantly toast to her friends… Even to Bruce and Selina. Who were at least friendly. Kory could defiantly see it becoming friendship. With a little more effort and x'hal a lot more openness. Though without wine. Kory raised her glass of water up. The bread was defiantly a comforting smell. Causing the little knots in her stomach to rumble. She was a little hungry that was for sure.

"Who said I was calling her old," Dick replied with a smirk on his face.
Selina was a very attractive woman. And she knew that already. But he could play the cards in his hand while he was given the chance to.
He kept to Kory was they went on. This was already out of place for all four of them. And to have Bruce around in the same room with everyone having a secret life, did not make it all that easy to keep on your toes.
As they were all seated, Dick turned to look to Kory over the comment of being childish. Sure he and Bruce were going back and forth with their comments, but it was better than it turning to fists. It wasn't like Dick meant anything behind the words he spoke. It was just the easiest way to get through the night. Two grown men and women having a dinner date together.
"Who's acting like a child," Dick piped up on her comment. "If it makes you feel better, I'll take you clubbing after all this."
His tone suggested a few more things other than just clubbing. He had patrol to carry on with as well. But Kory knew how to slow him down and speed him up. It was just the way it was between them.
Dick put up his act of the rich kid a bit. But truthfully he was no good at it. At least it was that way to himself. It wasn't who he was, but he could keep up the act well for others. Though Kory would see right through it.
Dick raised his glass to join in. "To good time," Dick said. His eyes going to Kory as he said this. There was always more between their friendship at their times. Especially with them being a couple now.

When it came to parties, Bruce was rather adamant with his adherence to one rule. No drinking. He had to feign like he was, and often had to play it off as though he was a drunkard and alcoholic. And he was damn good at it. But more often than not, the glass in his hand was filled with an aesthetically deceptive replacement for wine. Afterall, alcohol clouded the senses, weakened the mind... and if he had to sneak out for one of his nightly prowls, there was no way he could risk leaving with alcohol in his system.
"I never pegged you as wishy-washy, Selina."
He chattered good-humoredly, offering her that same droll, playboy smile that made him look so handsome and stupid all at once. His fingers trailed down the length of her arm, stroked absently where he knew her bicep was... the same bicep he had clutched onto, in their nightly tumbles along the Gotham rooftops. When they were seated, he took a long gulp of wine, or what was really just colored water. Alfred had done well.. prepared well ahead of time to ensure that Bruce would be drinking tonight.
"Here you are, telling me we should let them enjoy the disco without us, then you go tell me you want to dance."
Bruce shot a glance at Dick, then gave a lackadaisical, dismissive wave, followed by a helpless shrug. It was as though he was saying: women. Always so indecisive. But shortly after, he began to twirl the glass in his hand nervously, glancing from Dick and Korrey to Selina. Of course, as always, [or as always when they were in costume] his gaze lingered a heartbeat longer on Selina, and he reached out to touch her arm again.
"Should we go, or not? The disco sounds nice... All that dancing. Sweaty bodies and women.." He coughed. Perhaps he was truly the indecisive one. "But then again, you're the only one I want to dance with... tonight."
Bruce was a brilliant actor, but if there was one thing he couldn't hide, it was the way his body reacted in the presence of Catwoman. It was one thing to be gruff and silent, with their costumes to shroud the most infinitesimal tics along their bodies. But here he was, unmasked, no armor, no cape... Just him and this incredibly beautiful, insanely sexy woman whose depth he could only begin to fathom. Perhaps that was why, try as he might, he couldn't stop himself from pulling her closer, with so much force that had he not stopped himself, he might have drawn her cleanly out of her seat and into his lap. How awkward. His insides burned with rage. But was he angry at her, for all those years of deception, or was he angry at himself?
"...I think we need to be alone, Selina."
He gave Dick a meaningful look.

Alone? Now? Selina eyeballed him queerly. They hadn't even started dinner, nor solidfied their talk of after-dinner entertainment, such as dancing, and now, mere sips of wine into their meal and he's asking to be alone. As her hands goes to rest on his forearm, she meets his gaze again, only after glimpsing at Dick, and then Kory as well. The former is feigning, well...everything that "Dick Grayson, ward of Bruce Wayne" was expected, and it seemed Kory was nothing less than enamored with her boyfriend, and with the fun that could be had getting to know Bruce and herself, as well as enjoying a fun evening out at the disco.
"Oh Bruce," she purred. "I doubt I could ever call myself wishy-washy. But if you want to dance with me, and only me, that could be done here, or at a club. I'm open to either. I just may be a bit more...delicate, considering." Raising her hand from his arm and going for her wineglass, she raises it, admiring the liquid's color before taking a sip. "And if you insist, perhaps we could have a moment to ourselves before dinner comes. Or the first course. Whichever Alfred brings out." Ball was in his court. And oddly so. Hopefully Dick would refrain from the peculiar looks, or would at least want to talk to her beforehand. She hoped, really, really, really hoped that he hadn't said a word to Bruce about ...well, anything.
And a girl could hope.

it was by far a very fancy like evening…. Although just the four, it certainly gave the intimate feeling. So it wasn't too fancy, Kory couldn't say they did many fancy dates. But like each, this was defiantly special… When was the last time, they had a date in the mansion? It barely looked that different, but still wow able. Only really time she could jump to was the first time. Which had shortly been after Dick had asked her out. Finally. Seemed at least four years ago, perhaps longer. Who was counting? It certainly was cute whisking her away to show her Gotham. Running her hand a little in her hair. Fluffing the curls. Delighted enough smile. There had been roughness, but recovery seemed to have worked. So far. Although it seemed completely ridiculous. Humans had an odd knack for complexity when was hardly required. Its like the mystery was barely hanging by a thread and they must protect it with all they got… When they'd realise that often breaking it, would make it all a lot easier, but in their odd ways…. They could be cute.
"Selina, is extremely attractive! Beautiful, no doubt! I hear especially in a… Is it a jump suit?"
Certainly Kory agreed in Dick's words and reaction to Selina. She was quite the stunning woman… Very strong. Wilful. Quite classy. Mixed in with the cat edge, Kory had only heard words of her beauty. Wonder. Defiantly just as much in the flesh. Though as Kory had spoken had heard of Catwoman. The cat suit. Though that seemed a little unsafe to say that. Kory didn't know what else it was called… She was pretty sure a jump suit was something else. but Dick had to know what she was talking about. As Kory politely smiled in the enquiry and delightful conversations. Not forgetting this was meant to be about mending ways. Hopefully mostly about enjoyment.
"I wasn't pointing fingers, Dick. When you act like a child… I find it quite adorable… Most of the time! It depends on which age!"
No, she defiantly hadn't and she had been polite not to. Polite not to do it now, but it hadn't been as much of a suggestion or a remark on their behaviour… Maybe a little on Bruce's side. Just the feeling of purposeful digs, but had he meant anything by them was another thing. Kory wasn't upset nor angry. He'd know if she was. Kory though lightly piped in jokingly in him thinking she may have meant he was like a child. For someone that met him when he was in his mid teens and heard the cute tales. Not mentioned lived with him. The serious side, the child side was often refreshing. Like she said most of the time with humour in her tone. Her amusement rose happily to see Dick attempt to make her feel better. Which he didn't need to, but it was sweet to hear… Though at his suggestion. Kory blinked at him a little.
"Like I often say… It's clubbing time!"
Way to be subtle, Dick! Kory looked to him a humous look. Least she knew dancing wasn't top on the list and clubbing. It was suggestive. Sounded a like. As Kory peaked up a smile between her words and phrasing. One she knew she played on purposefully. Fighting and a little bit of dancing. Her hand helped Alfred with the cloth upon her lap. Not that she had bad table manners has many rumoured about her kind. Tamaraneans did have class than humans may think otherwise. Happy with her glass of water. Even if the wine was fake. With a smile as it made a little sound as the glasses touched. Friendship was always most important. Her relationship with Dick would cease to exist if they weren't best friends, first. No doubt Kory would always love and care for him.
"Disco? I don't know about old, but outdated? This doesn't have skates… I haven't gone to one those in awhile… They were quite enjoyable… Do they have those in Gotham? We know they do in New York!"
Kory questioned lightly at Bruce's use of the word Disco for a club. Not that she was purposely making fun, but if old age wasn't it… As she remarked lighting in her questioning to Dick. Disco described the old films they watched in the tower. Elvis suits and hand points. Unless it was Roller Disco, that sort of fell into outdated as well, but that certainly didn't lack fun. Recalling a brief moment as teens. Pausing in between looking to Dick… Was she suggesting an idea? Mildly. Least it was conversation. Though would Gotham be the place for Roller Disco… It seemed so dark and brooding…. Raising a knowing brow and gaze to Dick in regards to New York. It was cute times. Silly, but X'hal it was family. Good memories. Laughed a little, but Titans often looked beautifully out of place. She could almost recall a collide, but that wasn't new.
"That's really sweet! Would you like us too leave the room? I suppose, we could check out your room… See if we don't need to redecorate it! Is it Tim's room now? Then we need to make it safe… Have you seen his gloves?"
Kory happily commented about how Selina and Bruce flattered each other, in cute ways. It was unexpected, but who was she to deny anyone of happiness. Love was always a good thing… Still quite new to her, but Kory wasn't much in this circle. Despite how much Kory knew. WIth the small warm dinner rolls placed on the side. Kory had picked it apart a little. Buttered… She was defiantly a little hungry. Not enough to eat the table, but enough. The bread defiantly was good, with her simple sounds that proved it. Though making sure to clear her throat as she listened on the wishing of privacy… Rolling her eyes well not literally, but looked to Dick. Maybe she could see where he got one of the traits from. Hardly surprising. Though Dick had said pretty much straight up not long after they met and mentioned Bruce. Though this was a little less alone, than couple time. That Kory could understand… She had defiantly been keen for the food and the company. Especially just exciting new company, but her eyes looked to Dick amusingly. Suggesting, maybe see his room. Like she had mentioned earlier. Raised a brow if it needed redecorating… Before eyes shifted… Was it still Dick's room? She sure it was, even though he hadn't slept in it for a long time. Too busy sleeping in her room. Expressed a knowing look if it was Tim's room now… Because of the dangers that Kory was sure would be lurking in Dick's room. Referencing his Nightwing gloves. All the gadgets. Kory was sure she'd barely seen them all.

Dick looked to Kory. He knew what she what she was trying to say. But this wasn't the time or place.
"I don't think she's ever been in a jump suit? At least unless it was a costume party," Dick replied, acting like the two lives Selina lived were not her's.
There seemed to be a calmness between them all. The tension finally loosening. And he was going to try and keep it that way. Though a jump suit, like Kory had said reminded him of something prisoners wore.
"Childish? When do I act childish," he asked, curious for an answer from Kory.
More or less calling him childish was of course and insult. At least to him it was. Kory may find it cute, but Dick wasn't one for playing games much.
And right now in front of Bruce and Selina the conversation seemed to turn rather intimate between the couples. It was funny to think that each of them had a double life the other didn't know about. Well some didn't. Though for Dick and Kory, they were rather out numbered with people knowing in this room of their lives.
'I think Disco in Gotham died out when those times did. A long will ago that is," Dick commented with a slight smile on his face.
At points in the conversation, Bruce and Selina sounded like a married couple. The slight teasing argument giving air to how well the two knew each other. And Dick knew those two well enough to remember the patrols Batman would send Robin out on once Catwoman showed up. The sidekick always rolled his eyes at the two when he was younger. Then as time went on a knowing smirk was on the sidekick's face.
Bruce's last words struck a note and the knowing look...Dick wasn't about to stick around. He just hope it meant between Bruce and Selina. This night was already getting him wanting to make a run for it when he could get the chance.
"No, it's still my room Kory. And there is nothing exciting about a pair of gloves," Dick replied.
He avoided eye contact with Bruce over the last part Kory was saying. Knowing Bruce knew what she had meant by the gloves he had.
