Jimmy continued looking over the gun for a few more minutes prior to setting it down in his lap. He wasn't going to carry it the entire trip to wherever it was that they were going, to which end the boy was still completely ignorant. All he knew that he was apparently working for Riddler now, and wherever they were going, was where they were going. The urge to read his book stood out in his head again, but he didn't reach for the bindings of it. Just as he would've been about to, a sudden flash of red was visible in his side view mirror as well and he caught himself staring at it for a moment.
Then Allen confirmed the suspicions; it was Robin. Well, that was good news. For him, anyway. Considering he was thinking that this job might not be the best thing for his health, he hoped to himself that Robin caught up with them. Being that Robin also worked with his father, he hoped that the vigilante would recognize him and aptly save him from the danger that he was in. No one had to know that he agreed to all of this. Who would they believe if he lied? An innocent child or a group of felons?
Though he said nothing, he kept his eyes on the mirror and his expression turned somewhat anxious, wanting Robin to catch up. Wanting the car to stop, and wanting to slip over to the 'good' side of the law once again in order to get back home to his mom and dad.

As Robin tailed the vehicle for the first few moments as soon as he had pulled out, nothing had happened. The drive did not seemed threatened by having him on his tail. Ok, it could go two ways. One the person and this vehicle were not what he was after. Or two, they were just keeping their cool with him on their tail.
Though the evidence and likeliness of two cars being stole and heading for the outskirts of town were highly unlikely. Even with the FBI in town. That and all the leads led to this.
Jason wasn't about to turn around and been thrown off by just this. There was no way. Besides, Batman and Robin didn't usually work during unless something big was called to their attention. And the Riddler had been under the radar and then comes up with this riddle.
Not only that, but the Joker seemed to be out on the attack. There were many calling cards from him lately, Especially with the attack on the Bat family. Everything has been well tense and a little off with everything going on. And with the FBI in town, it didn't help any.
Jason decided just to continue to follow them. If Robin was on someones tail there was a reason. So changes were likely that they might pull off to the side and think to get out of his way or just keep going. He was more hoping along the lines of them panicking and him knowing exactly that his suspicions were correct.
If he could get them to pull over he'd be able to find out. And he'd be ready to face anything if it were the Riddler. He'd deal with gangs before that would fire at him from the front or from behind. It was all part of the job, taking down the crooks.
Though after a bit, Jason was losing his patients. He wasn't one to sit back and wait for long. He'd take things into his own hands if there wasn't some action soon. He knew Batman had ordered him not to engage in a fight. He wasn't trying to start a fight or anything. He was just trying to side track the vehicle when given the chance.

Edward wasn't paying attention to the other members in the car at the moment. His eyes were glancing back to Boy Blunder then to the road ahead of him. His mind was formulating a plan. He got a mixture of frustration and happiness when one of his riddles was solved. It was a difficult feeling to explain to anyone who did not have his obsessive need to leave them, but it felt like a high. It meant that there was someone out their to challenge him. There was someone out there who was close to his intelligence, but still not as smart. Batman truly was his Spasky. It was unfortunate that he still feel for his distraction with the Joker. Boy blunder would be easy to take out.
They were about to pass the last turn back to Gotham. As soon as they passed it, there presence would become very suspicious. He glanced at Allen, then Nina, then Jimmy. Hmm. The boy was inexperienced, but he could use him. He did not like the boy's silence as much as he hoped he would have. It meant the kid was thinking, and while he enjoyed seeing intelligence...this much thinking was almost suspicious.
"You know I do love this car. It's quite unfortunate that we only get to use it today, especially with all those ad on features," he remarked causally. He leaned back in his chair with a calculating smirk. He saw Allen glance at him in the review mirror and give a nod. The one benefit of having the same henchman for three years, they understood how you work.
"Jimmy, have you ever watched a magic show?" he asked with a smile, as Allen pressed the button on the car to release hundreds of miniature spikes that would hopefully popped boy blunders tires.

Given how much experience Nina has at staying calm, it only takes her a few more moments to resettle herself. Or, at least, be as settled as one can be while riding in a car with a Gotham rogue that's been followed by Robin. And having the conflicting emotions of hoping that you get away and hoping that Robin doesn't get hurt. How does she get into these things? Her eyes shift over to Edward. That's how. Better question: why does she love someone who does this sort of thing regularly? That's the one she can't answer very easily - she just knows that she does. A lot.
She keeps her eyes forward as Edward tells Allen to release the spikes, momentarily torn between the natural impulse to watch what happens and knowing she probably doesn't want to. It would an exciting thing to watch the action, but on the other hand it could also easily turn into an upsetting thing to watch. Motorcycles are not good vehicles to have accidents in. She'll keep her eyes away from the back window.

As far as whatever's going on with Robin, Jimmy is clueless. He keeps his eye on the kid not much older than him in the side view mirror, but does shrink in the seat just a little bit. Of course, he's still certain that he could use the kidnapping victim excuse if and when the car is stopped, but even for just passing by places. The windows were tinted, but he still had that overwhelming feeling of guilt for being in the car. Even if more than likely, he would've been physically harmed if he hadn't gotten in the car just for wasting their time.
At the mention of add-on features, Jimmy feels like frowning and mentally, he does. Outwardly though he just stares out the side view mirror, hoping that Robin has some sort of trick up his sleeve to stop the car. Why couldn't Batman have come to stop them? Why'd it have to be Robin? Not even the old Robin either but this newer one.
With a quiet sigh, Jimmy looked down at his hands in his lap and shook his head. "No." He lied; he'd been to a few shows with his father over the years, but Edward didn't need to know that. Why he was asking in the first place, Jimmy didn't know. Didn't really care either. He just wanted the car to stop and to make up some story to tell to Robin, and go home.

Jason sped up a bit to stay on the vehicles tail a bit. This had to be the Riddler. The guy could play it as cool as he wanted, but Dick's computer scans and the vehicle was stolen. Those were two good reason to know you had the right one.
Though he was surprised that the guy hadn't taken and advanced on the situation yet. Jason was going to make sure they didn't make it out of this town while he was on the mission. Problem was that, Jason was getting to confident. He was calculating his own next move to slow them up when he got the chance.
Continuing on down the road. There was one thing Jason had not expected from a vehicle like this and that was traps on it equipped with any type of weapons, no matter how small. How did the guy find the time to rig up a car like that. It seemed it had only been stolen this morning. And they were on the go not too long after that.
Jason was so close the the vehicle. He was only about ten feet or so from their tail and going about forty miles an hour. Not all that much time to dodge on on being that close. And Jason was learning that quick when suddenly hundreds of shiny spikes were released into the road.
Robin's eyes widened a bit behind the mask at the surprise from this every day vehicle. His helmet visor hiding his face though. He tried to swerve off to the one side of the road, but the spikes were a wide trail spreading on he road. And at the speed he was going, he didn't have the chance to avoid them that quickly.
Right away the front tire hit several spikes and the air in the tires started to hiss out as he keep on driving and trying to keep control. He tried to continue on as the back tires took a hit as well. He was still going at least forty and still not far behind the vehicle. The motorcycle wobbling as he tried to remain in control. There was only one thing he could do. And jumping off and losing the vehicle was not one of Jason's options in his mind.
Acting quickly he pulled out his line gun and fired it at the roof of the vehicle. It gripped hit quickly and with in a matter of seconds he quickly revved the bike on last time to speed it up on the last bit of air in the tires and stood on the tank of the bike and retracted the reel on the line gun to reel him in toward the claw on the vehicle as he jumped.
He had cleared the jump with the help of the reel pulling him in as he landed on the roof of the fast moving vehicle. The motorcycle swerved at the sudden push off of the jump and the loss of the drive. The bike cut sharp and hit the ground hard and rolled several times, getting some major air as hit it the ground. It slid across the pavement with sparks flying, before it finally came to a stop off to the side of the road.
Robin tried to clutch onto the roof of the vehicle the best he could as he had pulled himself onto the roof further. Holding onto the hook now planted into the vehicles top. He looked back to see the bike fading away as they continued down the road. Robin reached for something on his belt. He pulled out a small device and hitched it to the side of the car out of sights and quickly before anything else would happen. He was already at the loss of transportation now.

Edward wasn't even looking back to see what had happened to Robin. He didn't need too. The bat family managed to escape little hiccups like the one Edward had just given on a daily basis. At worst for them the boy was really scuffed up, at best.
The sound of metal tearing and a yank against the car sounded above them.
Edward smirked. At best, the boy was now on top of their car. He didn't even cringe when it happened. It was almost too predictable. Allen stepped on the gas, speeding the car forward to their destination. Edward was hardly phased when he heard the boy's heavy weight land on the car. He even continued with his conversation. "You haven't?" he asked mildly surprised, as he lowered his grip on his cane so he was holding it in the middle. "I must suggest going. You would enjoy them. Magic shows are after all riddles. They use deception to trick the person into not paying attention to the true clue." He glanced up at the roof. His eyes locked with the metal thing stuck inside. It did not take a genius to know the boy was using that to hold onto the car that had no gripping. His hand holding the gun moved right under the boy blunder's body. He brought the barrel of the pistol close to the roof.
"He deserves a clue doesn't he?" he asked rhetorically with a mocking smirk. He brought his cane up right above him, but a far distance away from where Robin hung on the roof. He hit his cane against the roof paused hit it again pause then hit it quickly again. He then hit the roof quickly twice, then one more time, but pausing. He hit it paused then hit it quickly again. He brought his cane back down after doing the morris code to boy blunder, though he doubted with the sounds of streets and focusing on holding on boy blunder would even notice it. And even if he did notice it, Edward doubted the boy knew morris code. "Let's see if he is smart enough to figure that out," he remarked.
Edward waited a few more seconds then he pulled the trigger causing the bullet to go straight through the roof and hopefully through the boy's body.
"If the boy blunder happens to be a bit more of a hassle then I expect, Jimmy. You are going to have to help put on a magic show."

Nina automatically glances up when there's a sound against the roof. While this may all be very familiar and predictable to Edward, it's the exact opposite for her. Really what's keeping her nerves somewhat steady at the moment is the fact that her sidelong glances at Edward indicate that he isn't worried.
Though when he lifts his gun toward the roof Nina now finds her eyes drifting down toward the floor, for the exact same reason she didn't look backward a moment ago. But though her eyes cooperate with her desire to remain uninformed about the details, her ears aren't as willing. "Gun," she says quietly to herself before she flinches at the sound of it being fired.
She finds herself closing her eyes and taking another deep breath. She's fine, really - she just needs to keep herself convinced of that. It would be a lot easier if she thought that she could afford to tune out what's going on around her completely, but if this situation turns into something she does need to react to then she doesn't want to get caught off guard.

With all the clinging and clanging around on top of the vehicle, Jimmy looked up and though he did a good job at keeping an expressionless face, he was worried for Robin's safety. This was his way out. Robin would save him, and return him to his family. Riddler was just a kidnapper, he could say. A way to attract the attention of Commissioner Gordon. He'd sent a goon in to trick him, ultimately capturing him and taking him away.
It all sounded good in his head, and he played the scenario out a few times mentally before glancing back at Riddler in the back seat, not responding to anything he said. He obviously heard the shots and cringed a bit at the loud sound, hoping that Robin was able to evade them. He had to. He was Robin.
"..okay." Was his only response, his tone neutral, allowing himself to speak just to avoid the accusation of not paying attention. He expected Robin to burst through the roof of the vehicle with some kind of anti-firearm gadget at any time, and rescue him. ..Any time, now.

When Robin tried to cling on harder to the roof of the moving vehicle, the car just when even faster. Ok, he had the right car. He knew who he was after. Not how to stop them without getting himself thrown off a speeding car and to bring them in in one piece.
This was the challenge for Robin. Struggling to stay on the roof as the vehicle flew down the road, Robin could hear this sudden slight knocking sound against the roof below him. He could barely hear them with the wind whipping past his head. If it weren't for the motorcycle helmet he was wearing, he probably would have heard it at all.
With the tapping against the roof, it was some kind of pattern. But what was the Riddler doing? Jason gave it a second when he realized the taps had distinct pattern with quick rapping sounds and long held out ones. This wasn't just random tapping, it was morsecode.
Robin didn't have much of a chance to study the sounds of the knocking as he had been trying to stay on the roof. But after figuring out the last Two patterns being a U and an N. It didn't take him long to put two and two together. And realized that it meant 'gun'.
Jason needed to act quickly. There wasn't much time and he needed to stay on the moving vehicle. He couldn't risk losing it. Not when he was so close. He had them literally underneath him. But they had the upper hand with the moving vehicle and the comfort of not having to worry about the speed from inside.
Robin had to make a split decision. He only had seconds and he wasn't going to take the chance. He decided to let go of the hook in the roof. He let himself slip back to the end of the car. And second later a round of gun shots rang out, shooting through the roof. That was too close.
Robin had slid back onto the end of the car. He grabbed a hold of anything he could to keep himself from falling off completely. He pulled out on of the suction hand devises and stuck it to the roof quickly. And just in time to keep himself on the roof with for a bit longer. His legs were almost at bumper of the vehicle and more stunts like that and it would be the ones to have the first action.

He smirked when he heard Nina repeat the morris code aloud. Smart girl. As he pulled the trigger he heard movement against his car. He was looking forward at the time, but he heard the direction of the sound. "It appears boy blunder has a brain bit bigger then a rodent," he commented with a slight tinge of irritation. The boy was starting to become an annoyance.
Allen continued to increase speed and swerve back and forth along the road. The fence was coming into view, and they still had ten minutes from the designated time it would lose it's power. "Boss," Allen stated.
Edward's frown darkened. "Yes, I have eyes as well, Allen," he remarked coldly before turning around to see the boy blunder hanging close to the end of their car. He could after all see the boy's stupid costume against the window. "That's quite a driving hazard," Edward noted, "Blocking the rearview mirror. Tsk. Tsk." He moved his gun to the window and pulled the trigger. He then estimated in his mind the possible movement of the boy and aimed the gun to the left and pulled the trigger again.
It was unfortunate because even if Edward managed to get the boy off their car, they still would have to stop the car next to the fence. The boy probably would transverse the distance quickly and they would be force to handle him outside the car. Quite a hassle for a brat who didn't even solve the riddle.
"Jimmy, a bit of enthusiasm!" he said back to the kid in the front seat. "Every kid likes their first magic show."

Actually, Nina didn't translate the morse code, she guessed the appropriate clue for the situation. Which is probably less clever than knowing a now mostly archaic form of communication, given that she's in a position to actually see what the clue was for, but it still requires some level of smarts even if it's more of a sign that she's all too aware of what's going on even if she's not looking at it than anything else. You can tell entirely too much about what's going on just by listening, which is why she knew that Robin ditched the roof even before Edward's irritated words confirmed it.
She does, however, open her eyes and glance out the front when Allen makes a comment. Naturally, he wouldn't bother making a comment about Robin since Edward's attention is obviously primarily there already, so Nina looks for something else worth pointing out. And the F.B.I.'s fence is an obvious target for that. She flinches slightly when she hears more bullets going out the back window but doesn't look back. Instead she simply recognizes that now is a good time to keep her eyes open and be ready to react. You chose this, she cruelly reminds herself. Deep breath. And she recognizes that now it's probably not such a good idea to close her eyes again - whatever Edward is planning on doing to get them out of here, it'll happen now. And she hasn't a clue what's about to happen so she out to be prepared for anything.

There was a lot going on both in and outside of the car, but for some reason Jimmy just didn't feel like he was a part of it. His expression remained neutral, almost calm as he just watched what was happening as if it was something on television. Batman never lost any of his battles, so clearly Robin should've been the victor in this, right? He was about to grab the top of his bag as if he was ready to leave the vehicle. Robin would break in, get him out of the car, and return him home. ..Right?
Wrong. At least it began to seem that way. Edward shot out the back window, which resulted in a flinch from the boy as he brought his hands up to his ears and furrowed his brows as shots continued to fire at probably the only person who would be able to get him out of this situation at the moment. Where they were going, he had no idea. But he really, really did not want to go anymore.
"What's magic about this?" He asked in almost a mumble, more disappointed and worried than concerned about Robin's failure to get him out of the car so far. He probably didn't even know he was in here. In fact, he wouldn't be surprised if he didn't even know who he was. He wasn't Barbara, the Gordon that everyone knew. No, he was Jimmy, the child that everyone remembered after the fact. The, 'oh yeah, he does have a son' son.

Robin tried to pull himself back onto the car's roof. But there was little chance of him succeeding with how the vehicle was moving and how fast they were going.
Though this did little to stop him from trying. He needed to do something. He hung on there with everything he could. He managed to get one arm fully onto the roof. This gave him the chance to look into the car from the gash that was forming from his devise he used to stay on the roof, as well as the bullet holes, he could see the gun being aimed at him again. He had to react and fast.
There was no chance of getting himself onto the roof again. He made the decision. And as the car swerved and right as the gun fired off, Robin left of of the only thing keeping his grip on the roof. As the gun fired off breaking sections of the glass, Robin felt a pulled graze his side. Hitting more of the armor rather than the the muscle. But it had managed to make contact with his skin below the suit.
He had managed to swing in time with the vehicle to managed to avoid any more shots as he was thrown through the air with the force from the swerving as well. It didn't take long for his body to hit the pavement and he rolled to avoid further injury with the landing. He rolled off the road and was left laying on the side of the road in the dirty.
Jason coughed a bit as he looked up to see the vehicle still on the move. He'd have to catch up. He'd be able to run the distance after he got up. He struggled to get up for a second, the landing was a bit harder on him than he thought. And where the bullet has grazed, stung quite a bit.

Edward smirked confidently as he watched boy blunder fall of the hood of the roof. It was almost insulting that the Batman had decided to send out such a failure to stop his genius mind. Allen continued to drive at the quick pace as if the boy had never effected the speed in the first place. It would be very difficult for the brat to catch up unless he had another secret contraption close to him that involved speed racing...the Riddler doubted that.
Edward sat forward in his seat with a playful smirk on his face. He put his gun back into the waist band of his slacks before settling his appearance once more. If someone hadn't of seen him pull out a gun and shot it, they would not have been able to determine that their was ever one there.
Edward's mind was constantly calculating and noting different things around him. He had noted Nina's tense nature and decided he was too happy to truly care about her opinion. He also noted the boy's stupid response. "This? No, this is not magic. Magic is using a distraction in order to trick a person mind into believing that something completely realistic is real," he commented with a high still in his voice. He saw Allen smirk though the driver's mirror. It appeared the large man was on the same type of high as him. Allen might not be the brightest of employees, but he certainly appreciated when Edward happened to be successful. The outcome of Edward's success, after all, meant Allen got a larger pay bonus.
Allen's eyes locked up ahead and noticed the fence. "It looks like ya friend hasn't kept up, Boss," Allen commented as he started to break on the car. The cameras were still moving, and it only confirmed to them that the fence was still traced with electricity. They had to cut through it before they could even think of driving the car through.
Edward's lips pursed for a moment before he pulled out his phone and checked the time. "We're still early," he stated, "It is only expected boy blunder would disrupt our time schedule. The Bat family has never been one to respect other's routines." He placed his phone back in his jacket. "Stop at the fence. It will take some time for the brat to catch up with us, that is if he hasn't broken any bones on that wonderful trip to the ground."
Allen nodded, "Got it, boss." The car moved up to the fence that blocked one of the highways out of the city. A few months ago, this highway was always crowded with cars going in and out. Now, it was empty of life.
The car slowed down until it stopped right in front of the fence. Edward pulled out a lollipop as if he was in no hurry and had no pressure to continue. "You see Jimmy, I have never enjoyed lying," he stated as he unwrapped the tootsie pop, "There is no need for it. The mind of an average human being jumps to its own conclusion. It is why magicians are able to make so much profit. For that reason, I will be holding a gun to your head. I do, however, need you to learn how to fire a gun within a minute. Aim is not my concern," he said causally.
