It took awhile for Nina to decide whether or not she wanted that little chat that Selina seemed to want to have with her. She's still not sure what she thinks about the woman. Nothing like she expected based on what little Edward had told her previously. Then again, he never has flat out told her what their connection is. All she was able to gather is that Edward trusts the woman... just a little bit. Enough to not treat her like an enemy, but not enough to not be extremely wary of her. And Nina can only assume that feeling is justified. Still, if he trusts Selina at all, it should be safe enough for her to meet with her, right? It's not like she can't handle herself. Of course she knows that Edward would not want her to go. He really is too overprotective. Fortunately, Nina has never found that difficult to do something Edward doesn't want her to do, whenever that happens. This time it's simply picking a day when Jimmy has been left with her while Edward is out with Allen - not that she couldn't get away from Allen, but Jimmy is definitely easier. She sends a text to the number Selina provided simply saying, 'Where should we have that chat? -N' And a few moments later she gets a name and address. After Robby's death, Nina swore to herself that she would not get too attached to anyone working for Edward. But she does feel for Jimmy since he doesn't want to be here, doing this job. So rather than simply tricking him into giving her a chance to get away, she uses her power to convince his brain that melatonin is a good chemical to produce. Once the boy is asleep, she heads out, hoping that Edward won't fault the poor kid for failing to keep her 'safe' and instead put all the blame where it belongs - on her. Though before she goes she decides to leave a note for Edward - she has no idea how long he'll be gone today or how long she'll be gone, so she might as well let him know what she's up to. Edward,
Took your advice and went to see more of China. Specifically, I'm hanging out with Selina. And it's my fault Jimmy fell asleep.
- Nina
P.S. I'll be fine. This is Nina's first time venturing out by herself, though Edward's earlier insistence that she leave their suite occasionally means that she's not as ill-prepared to manage this as she might have been. Once she gets down to street level she manages to hail a cab. And after repeating where she wants to go a couple of times as clearly as possible (she hates being somewhere that she can't speak the language) the cab driver evidently understands and drives her to the place - a quiet-looking sushi bar. Maybe this will be fun - at least she likes sushi. She heads inside, immediately looking for Selina. She doubts that she's beaten the woman here - she was slowed somewhat by her method of ditching Jimmy and by her crutches.

It wasn't long and Selina had to smile. She was in her own quarters, naturally, when the text came through. And just like before, she was going to do what she needed. Batman knew how to contact her. They each had a comlink, no doubt that would trace her whereabouts, too. So to cover her own tracks, she left the com in her room, and a simple note slipped under the adjacent door. It read, simply;
"B- Out on the town. Back later. Will notify if any clues... ~Catwoman "
She almost started to sign it with her first name, cussing under her breath as she folded the note and slipped it under the door. And just like that, she grabbed a rather large pair of sunglasses, and slipped out her own door. Even if he'd thought to lock her in, it was no issue. He had to rethink that little ploy. And if it was rigged with security? She didn't care either. He wasn't exactly cluing her in on his plans...so she was going to play.
It took little time to text Nina back the directions, as well as a simple, "See you soon! ~S" before she was in a cab to a little sushi joint she'd been to before. Years ago. And thankfully, it was still there. Ushered to a corner table, Selina sat, dressed rather demurely in a black dress, semi-height heels, and a blouse. Hair pulled back, dark glasses slipped to the crown of her head. She had already started on her first drink, some sort of fruity concoction that had a bite. Not her usual, but it was fun. Something that was severely lacking on this trip.
Once she spots the other woman, Selina raises a hand, smiling as Nina makes her way over. "Glad to see you could make it," She starts, her eyes twinkling at the other woman. It was good to know that a woman Edward picked...wasn't under his thumb.
"It seems that we're both being tucked away this trip, and unaware of some of the itinerary." She says softly. Selina isn't quite the brazen vixen she was prior. Then again, she's at the eatery of her own choice, hadn't just been on a rather long flight, and in the rain. She seems...almost more humane this time around, not all claws and teeth.

Nina is somewhat relieved when she spots Selina. Partly because it confirms that she hasn't accidentally gotten to the wrong place, but also partly because Selina looks to be in a much better mood. She smiles back, if a bit more conservatively, still not fully certain of the woman but willing to give her a shot. At least this will be more interesting than hanging out with Jimmy - he's actually a bit miserable to be around.
She heads over to join the woman and her smile gets a bit bigger as she sits. "Thanks for inviting me," she replies to the greeting as she settles herself, setting aside her crutches and getting comfortable. Which is a lot easier to do now that she's able to bend her knee, even if she's not quite ready to trust her weight to it yet. Though Selina's next comment causes Nina to pause before she says, "I wouldn't quite say that - if I'm tucked away it's mostly my fault, and I'm not unaware of what's going on." She's actually still getting used to the idea that Edward has been so open with her recently - she likes it, but she's also quite aware of just how important it is for her to keep it all to herself.
"Not that I can repeat it," she says, sighing quietly to herself. While she's doesn't have any problems with the idea of keeping Edward's secrets, this one is a lot bigger than any of the others that she's kept to date. But though that makes her have a greater desire to tell someone, that desire is still far outweighed by her ability to keep her mouth shut. Doesn't mean that it isn't nagging away at the back of her mind, though.
Not knowing if Selina will want to pry into that, she quickly changes the subject, "But you wanted to talk about Tiff?" Because that's one thing she's all too happy to explain in detail, as loudly as possible, and to as many people as are willing to listen. Even though she's a lot less angry about it than she could be, that doesn't mean she doesn't want what happened to be known.

Selina takes in the other woman's words with ease. As she narrowed her eyes at her for a moment...something is off. And while she's not Batman, she can tell an injury. Especially if it's something she herself has encountered in the past few months.
“Tiff's an idiot. Trust me. Pulling that little ploy to get you both out of there, wasn't hard. He certainly is particular about his religion, I will say.” Emphasising the words both, and religion, Selina shrugs, and then casually motions to Nina's crutches. “Hopefully you'll be off those soon. I just...well, it was splashed in the papers. But I was mugged,” She takes a sip of her own drink, “...amongst other things. And trust me. It was hell being cooped up. Any injury that restricts like that, and you're used to going against, well, Eddie and Batman gets old. There is only so much of that Housewives of whatever show one can take.”
Smiling at Nina, Selina motions for her to continue on about the FBI Agent. “You said he had shot you. I'm surprised he hasn't been pulled from his position for that. And, you should order. It makes me look like a lush right now.” Laughing at her own joke, she interjects again;
“Not that, this little excursion has been anything but joyus, but you know how the boys get. Present company excluded, they're driving me nuts. And I apologize for barging in. Gotham to here with -that- sort of flightmate was ...you can only guess. And no clothing, either. The entire ride, in my suit.”

Nina smiles a little to herself when Selina talks about her leg. "I'm a fast healer - I should be back on my feet soon," she says, heavily understating it. If she were any normal person she would have bled to death from the wound, and if she hadn't she'd still have weeks left of healing time. Instead she's perhaps a few days away from ditching the crutches, and that's just because she's being extra cautious - when you can sense your own health at the microscopic level, you tend to take good care of yourself.
"But honestly what's been even harder for me than my leg is how first I had to hide in one of Edward's places thanks to the FBI - and not the good one, because they found that - and then he gets it into his head that we should run off to China. Which is better than hiding out in Gotham since I don't have to worry so much about being arrested, but he's spent the whole time focused on his big scheme and even if I could walk properly I wouldn't really have anything to do," she sighs and shakes her head. She's definitely a workaholic, and she's really suffering from being deprived of her ability to work. Even running off to have this chat with Selina will barely make a dent in her restlessness. Edward's able to distract her more than anything else - when he actually has time to spare on her - but even that isn't a cure for what's really bothering her.
She smirks a little at the way Selina suggests that she order something, so she signals a waiter and uses the pause to consider exactly what she wants to say on the subject of how she got injured. She distractedly orders a drink, which she'll probably nurse for the rest of their entire conversation without quite finishing, and then she says, "Well, it's all because I had to fake my own death and hide out with Edward awhile back - but that's a very long story I'd rather not get into - but we realized that when I reappeared it would look rather suspicious to anyone able to connect him to it that he hid me for so long if he didn't get anything out of it. So I suggested that we make it look like we'd made some sort of deal. Next thing I know, he robs a bank with bio-weapons as a part of the plan." She makes a face, showing rather clearly that she did not approve of that. "No idea where he got them from, but it wasn't me. Fast forward to the FBI invading Gotham: Agent Tiff along with a rather large team burst into my lab asking questions about it. And it was immediately obvious to me that the man is unreasonable and wasn't about to listen to me say I didn't do it, so of course I said nothing. He 'arrests' me, hops into the back of the van with me while they take me wherever, and decides to insist on getting answers by shooting me in the knee, and again when the first time doesn't work. Mind you, I'm simply sitting there on a bench, handcuffed, and not doing anything but refusing to talk. And if we hadn't been interrupted by the Question rescuing me, for all I know he wouldn't have stopped at two," she explains, her expression getting angrier as she continues and remembers. But there she stops, frowning to herself as she ponders if that's the complete story as far as she wants to explain right now. But she simply ends it there with a shake of her head. What more can she say on that subject than that? Tacking on a rant about the questionable sanity of Agent Tiff and the people who gave him his job would be redundant.
But though the anger is quick to reach the surface when she talks about Agent Tiff, it fades away easily at Selina's griping about Batman. "I've talked to Batman twice - I can't imagine that he's good at small talk," she says with a smirk, but the mention of her suit has Nina remembering that nighttime visit and her expression shifts to a frown as she remembers what happened after that. "He followed you when you came to visit us - I think it's only right for you to know that. I don't know why he didn't go after Edward right then and there, but he left us a present," she says, her lips pursing but her expression mostly neutral - she just doesn't know how to feel about her little brush with the Edward/Batman chess match.

Selina just sits there for a few seconds. Now this is something she hadn't heard. And if she had heard about it, she would have done something. Not in the same lines of Batman-worthy, but a man who goes to these lengths to get information? It's all fitting together after her little meeting with Tiff. And if there had been any regrets prior to what she had done for Eddie, they're entirely washed away with Nina's admissions.
“You're kidding me.” Blinking several times, she gently shakes her head, quickly draining the remainder of her glass, a finger held to the waiter to bring another. Gently turning the glass in her hands, she is quiet. Something that Selina Kyle, or even Catwoman rarely is. It's not that she isn't used to Eddie's machinations, but what Tiff did is reprehensible. And to do it to Eddie's...well, girlfriend, is what label she is using..is even worse.
Finally ceasing fiddling with the glass, she sets it down and faces Nina. “I'm...horrifically sorry about that. Eddie...well, to be at his side, you must know that his ideas are never cut and dry. But considering I am a friend of his, both in costume, and not, for him to go to those lengths, I know it's odd to hear, but for him, that's a great admission of care. And while it might come off more as possession, well, that's just how Eddie is. Quirky, quizzical, and comical. But if he's going to those lengths, it means something, Nina.”
Shaking her head, she shifts to toy with a bit of hair before she continues. “But as for the Tiff debacle...that is why we're here. Well, at least as much as I know. I think B...” She ceases using the full rest of his name, a chill on the back of her neck. “B. has something more he's not telling me. And it probably has to do with your beau. And as unlikely as it seems...him and I have a temporary truce. The FBI have caused more harm than good at this point, and while him and I are technically on the opposite sides of the fence...I don't exactly follow the rules. And speaking on behalf of the nightlife of Gotham; We're all sick of the bullshit.” Selina pauses, flashing a charming smile to the waiter as he sets down another round for her, as well as a few platters of assorted food. Sushi, sashimi, other various finger-foods and sundries.
“I didn't quite know what you liked...so I got a bit of everything. But...B and I are here to talk to Eddie about joining forces to get him and his little crew gone. Flushed out. So then we can all sit and plot and do what we were all doing damn good before the FBI thought they could clean-sweep things.” Sighing, she tips her glass back, somewhat relieved to get that part out.
“It's just going to take either some hated cooperation, or, some forced participation.” There was no way around it. Eddie was going to help one way, or the other. Situating a pair of chopsticks in her hand she chooses a few items and places them on her plate before eating. Once two of the items are gone, she continues, nearly dropping the chopsticks, not before her deft fingers shift them easily, nearly automatically as a weapon.
Her face gone pale, her jaw nearly slack, there is a panic in her eyes. He had followed her? Blinking rapidly, her demeanour shifts almost automatically. Much like a familiar foe of Batman would realise the shift, Selina to Catwoman has a subtle change.
Quietly sitting there, she runs through everything. If he followed her, that violated their truce. No questions asked. He followed her with no warning. Does that mean.....Selina blinks quickly again, her face now blankly looking up at Nina. If she was compromised, if he saw her saunter out in that dress, and toy with Eddie, or even when she initially dropped him, it could be bad.
“Nina, thank you. For that bit of information right there, I owe you. Any time. Day, or night. Anything you need. I just...” Selina sits there, stoically, unmoving. “If I have been compromised, this could turn out poorly.”
She'd be slammed in Blackgate. No reason for her to be in Arkham, really. She was just a skilled theif with a love for felines. But...if she needed to, she might be able to send a call to Bruce. Or even Marc.
“I may be fucked.” She says quietly, reaching for her glass again as she drains it, watching the woman in front of her. Well, she might as well enjoy her possible last moments before prison.

"I know," Nina says simply as Selina talks about how much Edward's actions show how much he cares for her, and the slightest of smiles eases through her expression - not only does she know, she's very happy that she does. Otherwise she'd have gotten fed up with all the spying, overprotectiveness, and other really frustrating things he does because he cares. It's actually become somewhat endearing to her - to a point, at least. When it's no longer endearing is about the same point she does something like this - sometimes she has to step out of the gilded cage just to keep both of them aware that she can.
She listens as Selina explains about Batman and nods, trying to sort all of that. Being very new in her understanding of how things are between these people, it can be hard for her to keep up with who thinks what about who. She thinks that's why what Selina was saying the other night was more confusing than anything. She brightens when the food is delivered and she smiles, "Oh, it all looks great! I was part raised on this stuff. Japanese, on my mother's side."
She continues to listen carefully as she starts to pick through the various foodstuff and select what she wants. She doesn't quite know what to say when Selina mentions enlisting Edward's help, but her lips go into a flat line and she nods. Edward is not going to like it one bit, but she supposes she doesn't object to seeing him forced to help rather than harm for once as long as she's not expected to help them do that. No, what bothers her is that she knows that he's not going to sit down and have a little chat with Batman of his own free will, so she can only assume that whatever would get Edward there would be rather unpleasant. She finds herself still hoping that Batman manages to stop his current plan without catching him. But since when has anything involving Edward turned out exactly the way she wanted it to?
As Selina reacts to her statements on Batman, Nina simply waits. She can't imagine that the other woman will be at all happy about that, so she simply waits for the first few reactions to pass. And she quickly waves off the thanks by simply repeating, "Only right for you to know." She frowns somewhat sympathetically after that. She won't go off on a rant about it being unfair because... well, Selina's a criminal. Seems to be a very nice person when it comes down to it though, so she does feel for her. And she can't help but think that Batman following her was rather low of him, even if he had a very good reason. But that's why Nina could never be a vigilante - she doesn't really have the heart to condemn anyone.

“I appreciate it, one way or the other. This....certainly changes things.” A finger is raised, another glass brought out to her. Nursing this one for a few minutes as they both continue to eat, she's trying to figure out how to word things. It's not the alcohol it's the intricacy of things. She's friends with Eddie. She is a love interest, and foe of Batman. And now, she's placed in the middle of more than one interaction at this point.
“I guess, it's expected. Even with a truce, he's going to do as he wish. He really, always has.” She muses, shrugging, her shoulders rolling back as she settles into the chair a bit. Does she care that she's one of the world's reknown thieves, and she's getting thoroughly sloshed? Not particularly. Batman, clearly can find her. And if he has figured out who she is, it shouldn't matter if she comes stumbling back in after a night out. He's dealt with kitty before. Taking in a large breath, and sighing, she points her chopsticks at her dinner-mate.
“I just...even if he did figure out who I am, there is a certain interplay to this all. A very, very calculated game of chess. First, you have Edward and B. Foes. One of the better, after myself of course. But then again, you never read in the papers about Catwoman killing, or, sadly, shooting someone.” Raising a brow she motions to the crutches at the table side. “The Riddler, on the other hand had a knack for wordplay, as well as ruthlessness.”
“Then, this is where I come in. I...am a friend of the Riddler. As Catwoman, we have worked on heists, or favors for items has occurred. But, on top of that, Selina Kyle and Edward Nigma...are friends. He's gone as my date to Gala's prior. Of course, there were always ulterior motives, but still. A friend.” Going to pop a bite into her mouth, she smiles, washing it down with more of her drink.
“Feel free to ask any questions. I've realised that sometimes a sort of 'crash course' is needed, and of course neither man is good at that sort of thing,” She adds, a light, loose chuckled added. “Then, you have B. He hates the Riddler. And Eddie. And, knows that I, his foe who laughs in his face, is friends with both sides of the coin.” Snickering at her own play on words, she shakes her head, shifting in her seat yet again. Harvey would love that.
“So, you have me. Catwoman. There has been this...tension, one could say, for years. I thieve, he finds me, we go through this whole joke of 'That's illegal. Really? So is breaking and entering!' A bit of flirting, a heavy dose of hand to hand, delicious combat, then sometimes I get away, sometimes I don't, hit repeat with a minor variation. Sometimes I laugh in his face when he broods. Sometimes he slaps me.” Another sip, the rather violent words tumbling from her lips like she was reciting a poem.
“There is attraction. There always has been. If anyone could take him down, it would be me. And I've been asked to. Eddie wants me to, Crane does. Ozzie. But no. There is no point in stealing if there is not that added kick of a Bat-encounter. If I wanted no challenge I'd head back to France. And trust me. That's -no- fun. But...what really may screw things up, is that day to day? I do good. I have a profitable, benevolent company. Yes, I participate in those socialite gigs. But I donate my money. Mostly to a feline habitat up the river, and to several charities. So...while what I do after dusk is...technically bad, it's a hobby. And one that I don't -need- but I enjoy. Trust me, most of my things are earned...the legal way.”
Taking a breath, and waiting to see if Nina's eyes have popped out from her head yet, Selina continues, almost ready for another drink, and still as poised as she could be. Possibly a bit more loose lipped, but...she's good for now. “But...compared to 'Gotham's Golden Boy' child, whatever moniker they've given him now, I'm an angel. Have you seen what that man does? Women. Fast cars. Throws around funds like it's pocket change. Yes, he buys things on a whim, and commands all that is Wayne Enterprises, but...he's not invested in it. Not like his parents were. Dr. Wayne was amazing, if you've gone back to read what he's done. It was a pity, yes, that they passed, but...ugh. Bruce. He's been kind to me lately since I was in the hospital, and that whole Zsasz incident, even genuine. But I wonder how many other women he's got on speed dial to go with him to this opening, or that opening, or whatever.”
Her rant done, her glass empty, she doesn't even have to raise a finger to the waiter when another glass is ready for her.

Nina nods at Batman doing as he wishes. "Yeah, I got that impression from the bat costume," she says, attempting a weak joke. Really, she doesn't know what else to do or say to try to help Selina cheer up a little. If that's even possible, anyway.
She grows quiet and simply listens as Selina continues, picking at what's on her plate. Though the comment about the Riddler's ruthlessness gets a frown as she says, "I know." She's had some first hand experience with that one.
And she smiles slightly when Selina says that she can ask questions. "Thanks - I think I'm with you so far," she says. If this is all some big chess match, she's an absolute beginner who know all the basic rules, but still has a hard time visualizing the board and actually seeing the strategy behind all the different moves. Especially now that Selina has been thrown into the mix just as she was starting to get an understanding of the finer points in how Edward and Batman relate.
She listens silently to the rest, her expression slightly thoughtful and only interrupted by a slight raising of her eyebrow as Selina talks about how she feels about Batman, though it eases as she goes on. There's actually a lot of similarities there with her own feelings for Edward, though she doesn't say so just now. Nothing about Batman struck her as particularly attractive, but then again she only met the man twice and neither time was under the most pleasant of circumstances. But no, no eyes popping out. Instead she simply gives all of this a very understanding nod.
When Selina shifts to apparently griping about Bruce Wayne of all people, Nina smirks a little. "I wouldn't know - I've never met the man," is all she can say. Well, she's heard the rumors about what the man gets up to, but she doesn't really care about any of that.
But after saying that she's silent for a moment, only thinking, when she asks, "What I wonder - well, if you don't get away every time, and you obviously didn't end up in jail... Well, how would him knowing who you really are change anything?" She doesn't know if that's a good point or not, only that it's a piece of that explanation that doesn't quite seem to fit the rest of it.

It was a loaded question. And as much as she was already drinking, she was not hesitant to respond. Closing her eyes as Nina asked the questions, she laughed lightly. Would it change things if she knew who he was? Yes. Why? Because neither her, nor him were ever willing to sacrifice themselves for a cause. In all the years of back and forth, neither had ever given an inch. It was always, always a brief flirtation, and nothing more. The same words, you're stealing, unless she really pressed close contact.
Opening her eyes, she faintly smiled. "We're too stubborn. I don't think it would change things, but it might. Me? I'm not so different across the board. Catty, flirtatious. Suave businesswoman. Compassionate. As Catwoman? I'm all of that, but with no apologizes. And him? I don't know what is under that mask. A man who is driven. Clearly. And holds it so dear to his heart to rid Gotham of ...people like me, sadly.”
Sighing deeply, her fingers knit around her glass. “And as much as I hate to say it, he's probably got a slew of neurosis. On par with those he goes against to be honest. Me? You could just call me a kleptomaniac. A thrill seeker. I have the money, the means. But am I deeply disturbed? No. Yes, I have gone through my own tragedies, but...I'm able to pass, to function better than say, Harvey, or Eddie, or Oswald. I think, honestly, Nina, that is why I could call them 'friends,' as much as a world known thief could. Some I do count other as friends other than that, such as Eddie..but still.”
She sighed, finishing up the few bits and pieces on her plate. Her words were slowing, as if the alcohol was hitting her, finally.
“But what it boils down to, is Batman willing to love a criminal. He'd try, and want me to change. I know this.” And for a second, a dim light went off in Selina's head as she grabbed her phone, sending out a text to someone. “He followed me, D. My cover may be compromised. ~S”
Raising a hand to dismiss the whole thing she started on her glass again, sipping it while listening to Nina. “You have any thoughts? Seeing Eddie...you must know what I'm talking about. Has he tried to get you into something green, yet?” Breaking into a Cheshire smile, Selina laughed. The man was obsessed with green.

Nina goes silent again as she listens to Selina speculate about the answer to her question, well, at least she was able to say something that turns out to be vaguely hopeful. And she'd imagine that things will turn out better than Selina fears - though she's only met Batman twice, the second time pretty much proved to her that the man is a reasonable person. Kind of the polar opposite of Agent Tiff in that regard - very able to deal with the shades of gray. And Selina strikes her as a very gray sort of person. She can be pretty confident that Batman will be fair to her, especially if Selina's being truthful about the man flirting back... she just can't picture Batman flirting though...
She's quiet, nibbling at the food on her plate, until Selina asks her question. Which causes an instant small laugh. "Constantly. He never succeeds though - when I wear green it's my idea," she replies with a grin. Well, except for that one time, but she'd been unconscious at the time so that doesn't count, "...Though I'll admit to getting that idea a lot more than I used to." But she continues to never get the idea to wear spandex though - she has standards.
But then her expression grows more serious when she comments, "But trust me, if I can love a criminal, I wouldn't say anyone else couldn't either. And there's a world of difference between wanting someone to change and expecting them to." She's become somewhat of an expert on all of that recently.

She laughs at that. Pure Nigma right there. Even at the thought popping up in her head she laughs. Maybe that could be marketed...for something. Shaking her head at the other woman's joke, Selina palms her phone, about to reach down and return it to her purse. Instead, the severe swing of moment causes her to drop the phone with a clatter, her usually nimble body almost toppling from her chair.
“Dammit!” She mutters, a hand going to stop her fall. Unfortunately for her; it's her still healing arm, and she nearly bangs her head as she's able to grab the cell. Maybe it's the world telling her to chill, and keep it at her side. That; that sort of response she can stand by. Or sit by. So straightening herself, she nods to Nina. Hoping the woman won't bring it to attention in poor taste about her drunken antics.
“That...right there is Edward. There was a time when I started, he...tried to get me to join with him. Some green spandex thing. Loved the color...but spandex? Maybe if you're dealing with your feet on the ground more, and have hired...help,” She smirked at that. Help was a nicer way to put 'hired thugs.'
“But he's a good man. I just...he's complicated, as is any. And...I guess you could say you're very right, Nina. You're...a breath of fresh air with my current, well, as you can see, companions. You're level headed. Logical. And despite your injuries you are still willing to go against him. Remember, my offer still stands, for you telling me that snippet.” Twirling the stem of her glass between her fingers, she finishes the last of it, not asking for another. Considering her little almost tumble from her chair? She was going to pause for now.

While Nina was quite aware that Selina's had a few drinks and probably had some before she got here, she was pointedly ignoring that. She's not Selina's mommy to be telling her to go easy on the alcohol. But when she sees just how clumsy the woman's movements are as she retrieves her cellphone, Nina frowns slightly and decides to subtly use her gift to see more directly just how drunk the woman is. While she can't pin down an exact blood alcohol level that way, she can definitely tell the difference between 'a little drunk' and 'probably too drunk'.
What she finds causes her lips to purse, and she resolves to make sure that Selina doesn't get any more drinks if she's not going to stop herself. While the woman has every right to attempt to drink away her sorrows even if that never really works, she'd not be doing herself any favors by getting any more drunk than she already is. Luckily, it appears that Selina's noticed this herself and is refraining.
Which means that Nina's free to keep her attention more on the topic at hand. She smiles slightly at the mention of the spandex. "I saw some old pictures of him the other day - he looks a lot better in the suit," she says, unable to suppress the smile that comes to her face when she pictures Edward in his suit...
And she can only smile to what Selina says about her, not really knowing what to say to that. Though the comment about her being willing to go against Edward is waved off with a shrug. "He knows he can't control me," she says, which may be surprising to someone who knows just how well and how often Edward controls people, "And I appreciate that, but really it's nothing. Though I'll keep your number in my phone." She doesn't want Selina to feel like she owes her anything, but she has to admit that she likes this side of the woman a lot more than the one that broke into the apartment.

Switching from her empty glass to one full of water, Selina broke into a smile. “Well, that spandex get-up he did fancy for a while...that was something.” Giggling a bit, she finally ceases and agrees. “He does look better in the suit. If you're going to commit crimes, why not do it while looking good. And I do admit...this shirt collection is to die for. If you ever want a tutorial on how to make a dress like that, I'd be sure to help you out.” Raising her glass, she could feel the reflection of a light in the water making her ill. Maybe she had imbibed a bit much.
But she wasn't going to apologise. No need to. She was single. Not dating anyone. And the realisation of Batman betraying her trust? Oh well. She wasn't going to play as nicely now. And if that provided a security breach to him, so be it. Leaning over to gaze at Nina a bit more, she cracks another smile.
“Good. Because he's got control issues. And if he can't control you, the more, the better. Actually. That makes me think of a phone call. I told him I'd give him a ring.” Grabbing her cell, Selina sort of waves it in the air before fussing with it, and grabbing a number. It rings a few times, before she hears the familiar voice on the other end.
If he's annoyed, or was in the middle of something; be it sleep, a woman, party or otherwise she can't tell. But it seems he's...taken aback by her voice. “Bruce! It's Selina. How ARE you?” She starts.

Nina smirks a little at the offer of a tutorial, but says, "Nah, that really isn't my style." Which shouldn't be surprising, as her style appears to be completely different than someone like Selina. Someone who knows fashion could probably tell that Nina isn't wearing even one piece of anything that isn't a knockoff. That said, she does manage to show her fashion sense by only selecting the best of such things and only the subset of that which fits her nicely.
Today she's wearing a medium gray collared button-down blouse with a bit of corseting around the waist with a pair of dark blue straight leg jeans. Her shoes are a pair of slip-on flats, but they're red with a white buckle across the toe. Simple, cheap, probably comfortable, but she's definitely pulling it off. Then again, she has naturally attractive features and can pull a lot of things off. But she doesn't look like someone who'd really appreciate Edward's shirt collection.
She raises an eyebrow but goes quiet as Selina starts to make a phone call. But given how much alcohol she sensed, she's not surprised by the woman's behavior being a bit... random. Well, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone she doesn't care - once again, she's not Selina's mommy. Though her eyebrow raises again when Selina's words indicate who she's calling. Bruce Wayne? Right now?
