"Random and maybe just a little bizarre. That's something a person doesn't hear every day." Mary quirked an eyebrow as her head turned from side to side. "No I can't say that I do. I tend to throw trash out when I am done using it, I'm funny that way." She laughed for a moment. "Who is Bobby if you don't mind me asking?" She asked, curling her nose as she sniffed for a sign of a dog. Her curiosity was piqued. "A pet of some sort I presume?"

Heather laughs a little, having known just how weird that question seems. "Hey, it was worth a shot. I'm sure that if I mentioning needing one on my Facebook status I'll get five, though," she comments with a shrug. It's been her experience that a surprisingly large percentage of people have changed their roll recently and therefore have an empty on just sitting there in the wastebasket of their bathroom. The things you learn when you have a rodent for a pet...
"Bobby's a hamster," she answers the question, "I always name my hamsters 'Bobby' - I'm on Bobby #5 right now." Don't ask her how that tradition got started, but it's one that she's kept to for years.

Mary simply chuckled but just a little finding humor in the fact Heather had a hampster named Bobby. People tended to give their pets odd names and she's heard about people that enjoyed having pets so much they named them after people. Nothing really weird about it, it just struck as amusing for reasons unknown. "Duly noted. I'll save the next one for you if you still need one by then although I am curious what you'd use it for. I have had pets but never a hampster. Although when I was younger I had a pet turtle I named Buffy after the vampire slayer." She smiled and flipped her hair back. "I enjoy animals though, horses and tigers are my favorites."

Laughing a little more, Heather explains, "Oh, you don't know about hamsters and toilet paper rolls? He likes to sleep in them. But they eventually get gross or he chews them up for reasons known only to him, and I end up needing another. So, yeah, I can always use more. And turtles are awesome - I've just had Bobbys and back at home we had some cats."
A small smile lingers on her face as she idly leans against the counter. She doesn't necessarily like other animals enough to rave about them, but the hamster is an exception.

"Like I said, didn't know and I wouldn't have guessed. It's hard to picture a tp roll being big enough for the animal to sleep in, as little as it is so I guess you do learn something new every day." She admitted, finally whisking her keys out after a leisurely, lazily paced search. "I should be going now but I'll definitely be looking for4ward to catching your show tonight. No doubt it will be worth the wait but I should probably be going now if there's nothing else I can help with. It was a pleasure meeting you though Heather. See you soon?" She gave one more slight smile out of politeness and turned away toward the front door.

"All right," Heather says with a nod, "See you later. And thanks again for the help!" Well, it's nice to have at least one friend living in this building now. Many of her friends are still living around the University, most of the rest scattered in other parts of the city, and the remainder aren't in Gotham at all - those she misses more than the rest since the FBI cut off access to the outside. And it can be a bit lonely feeling like there's nobody nearby, so she's glad to know Mary now. Her attention shifts over to her groceries, and she starts to sort through them and put them away.
