Amanda sat at the table that was set up on the rooftop on the hotel. Considering the past couple of days, being in a hotel was she mixed the cream into her coffee and began to stir, The area was quite for the most part. the sound of cars could be heard honking below. It was nights like this that gave the illusion that Gotham was an alright place. that there was not some sort of underlying problem. Her thoughts were interrupted at the feeling of a familiar presence. She then looked from the corner of her eye.
"I know some are all impressed when they come into the presence of the man of steel, but I don't impress easily."
She turned around to where she was in direct eye contact with the man of steel. She didn't trust Him frankly she didn't trust anybody. She tolerated people. She worked with people, but that was it. now she found herself face to face with the boy scout himself. She couldn't help but give a bit of a smirk.
"well here we are. I figured you would want to talk to me eventually"

His eyes glowed red, in the odd way that let people know that death could come at a glance. The red cape fluttered behind him in the faint breeze emphasizing the raw power of the figure in front of her. He was, in this moment, very alien, and while he was not by any means the most terrifying looking thing on the planet, there was always that harsh reality that could not be ignored: this was likely the most powerful figure on the planet. With a glance, he could boil oceans, with a breath he could topple buildings, he could hear everything, and armies couldn't stop him.
He was carrying something in his left hand, it looked like a very large crumpled piece of paper, black and unmarked. He let it drop in front of Waller with a solid thunk. The steel and fiberglass construction had been designed to take bullets, to survive intense radiation, and to move in stealth, the flight mechanics of the thing had been designed by top LexCorp scientists to make it maneuverable, fast, strong and silent. Five million dollars, crumpled like paper, landing with a thunk in front of her.
"We need to talk." He crossed his arms disapprovingly, like a stern father discovering a drug stash, the eyes turned less red, revealing the deep and cutting blue of his glance. In some ways that was more terrifying. They looked more human, and almost inhuman, emphasizing that chisled jaw and the impossibly black oily hair.
"This has to stop. They keep following me. I understand you want to know more, but you could just ask."

She noted the glowing eyes of the titan that stood in front of her she couldn't help but chuckle a bit. But this wasn't a humored smile this was a chuckle of a sort of bitterness of someone who was jaded. of someone who's innocence was taken away probably way to soon.
"You know....when most demonstrate power, it's with a gun or a knife,,,but you, you don't need any of that. Your vert essence radiates power. More powerful then a whole arsenal of nuclear weapons could even scratch. with a glance, you can boil oceans, with a breath you can topple buildings, you can hear everything, and armies couldn't stop you."
She continued to stir the sugar. in her cup.
"When I was growing up in Chicago there was a common phrase that passed around the neighborhood. Power is Right and Right is Power. People have the right to dominate their will because they can. The Law of the Jungle. Either fightback or be enslaved. and we as humans were ok with that because we stuck our heads up out butts and assumed we were the center of the universe. Those who brought stories of gods, stories about greater things, warnings that we needed to accept that we were not alone. They were laughed at and rejected. We thought we were the biggest boys on the playground...and then you came along."
She turned to face Superman again giving a half smirk.
"And then we realized that the Wrath of God was upon us. It's often said by many scientist that had the comet had not wiped out the dinosaurs when it did, earthlings would not have even existed. We didn't fight for our evolution, it was given to us on a silver platter. We survived because of luck and I believe it shows in our attitude towards things. So Tell me something superman. Has our luck just ran out?
Let me make things clear. I don't trust you it's not because of what you do, it's because of what you can do, and what you can do is think for yourself. What You can do is whatever the heck you want with us and we can't do anything it. We're the ant, and your the boot."

He looked saddened by the statement, frustrated, irritable, as if he were trying to punch through a brick wall. Well, as if he were HUMAN and trying to punch through a brick wall. Good, maybe it was good for him to be frustrated. Feel mortal for a change. "I don't know any other way to say it to you people. I don't know any other way to say it to the world. I'm just here to help. I'm not here to crush humanity under my boot, I'm not here to conquer the world, I'm not even here to try to change things. I'm just here to help. I know I have powers, but what should I do? Ignore people in need?"
He looked at her, directly. Those alien eyes taking in every atom of her being, as if it were dissecting her molecule by molecule. The way he stood, as if he weren't used to gravity, the way he glared so dominant, as if he were some sort of God made flesh. Power seethed in every inch of his body as his muscles tensed and relaxed, the bright colors gaudy, an affront to his surroundings.
"I'm not the wrath of God. I'm not judgement. I'm just trying to make the world a better place with whatever ability I have. I promise. I come in peace." He lifted his hands into the air into a defensive posture, a little too quickly. An attack? No, he was holding still, hands up in a gesture of placation. Almost human, really. "I promise." But then again he would promise, wouldn't he?

Waller found herself tensing up
"I don't know any other way to say it to you people. I don't know any other way to say it to the world. I'm just here to help. I'm not here to crush humanity under my boot, I'm not here to conquer the world, I'm not even here to try to change things. I'm just here to help. I know I have powers, but what should I do? Ignore people in need?"
"Frankly...I would say yes, but that's far too late. I don't think you quite realize the severity pf what you've done simply by coming to our planet and well...being you. There is a saying. A person is smart, but people are stupid. Individually, people have no issue being their faith in something bigger or stronger than themselves. But as a collective, people are narcissistic eggheads concerned about there own first world problems. And some bright political leaders thought that it would just be easier to maintain that illusion we let them cry and moan about their first world problems while we worried about keeping them alive...And then you came along.
Now we have know choice but to face the facts. you say your a friend now, but what if you change your mind? what if someone comes along who is just as strong as you are if not stronger. So now in order to keep the public from panicking we have to act as if we are the strongest in the universe, we have to figure out how to combat someone like you."
she then took a sip of her drink, "So just know this. it's nothing personally. It's just the reality of things and unless you make yourself less powerful, make yourself a slave, or teach the whole world to have faith in something other than their selfies.. I don't see this reality changing."
