Kill Or Be Killed [Deathstroke]

The mission was very simple...on paper: keep the target safe. In reality, however, it was another story. These type of missions never end well. Someone always ended up dying or wounded or something. Lara didn't even know who the killer was, the criminal who wanted to kill the target. Actually, Lara didn't even know who the target was, of course she knew his appearance and name, but that was it. Mark asked her to protect him so it had to be important. The target was bald and muscular, he looked like a Colonel or something. Lara didn't care, she had other matters to worry about at the moment, like keeping the target alive.

Lara let out a stressful sigh, keeping track of the target. She kept walking, but not too close to the target because she had to observe the area. Well, there wasn't so much to see...she was in the subway, but in one of those long tunnels. However, the tunnel wasn't going to last forever, the subway was a large area. The target wasn't alone, but he was talking with other three men, Lara didn't even know why the target was in the closed subway...was he going to meet someone? Lara sighed again, at least the target knew she was here, it was all planned, Mark had spoken with the guy and settled everything. But...Lara was worried, all of this seemed to easy. Of course, Lara wasn't alone, but her co-workers were checking the target from other areas of the subway.

Slade's night vision flickered on, illuminating the darkened tunnels in his vision. Tucked away safely in a side alcove of a long subway tunnel, the skilled assassin exhaled as he peeked around the corner. The target was close. A former military man currently in the company of at least two or three other men, he couldn't quite make it out from this distance. The confrontation would likely take place in close quarters, as a shot from his rifle would draw far too much attention. With his sword at his back and his ballistics staff attached to his belt, he'd have the edge over the target and his companions, who probably had a concealed pistol at best.

But the job wouldn't even have to move into melee territory. The Beretta 92FS, modified with a laser sight for extra accuracy and a custom grip for stability and comfort. Quiet, quick and deadly. He could easily gun down his target when he got close enough. Easy money. Slade unholstered his pistol and attached the all-important silencer, cocked it and knelt down in the alcove.

Now all he had to do was play the waiting game.

Lara let out another sigh and walked down the tunnel to check it again. She walked passed Deathstroke and at first she thought that nothing was there, but then her trained eyes told her something else. Someone was there. Lara took her truncheon that could electrify stuff and people. Surely, Lara needed to use it on the someone who was there. So, she turned around and tried to hit this someone with the truncheon. 

Meanwhile, her co-workers and the big guy saw her and what was happening, no one could help Lara at the moment because her co-workers were trying to help the target. The big guy and the other men were pushed out of the tunnel to lead them outside the area. This was going to be difficult seen that the subway was very large. Keeping a target safe was never an easy job. 

One of the co-workers left the group that was leading the target outside the area so that he could check if there was another killer aside of the one Lara was dealing with. The group kept running towards the exit of the subway, but it was a long run. Then suddenly there was a scream, it was the co-worker who had left the group.
