It was a rare occasion when her producer asked her to accompany him to lunch. While she had the man wrapped around her little finger, there was still always a rush of nerves when he kept his motives hidden. The last time they had one of the lunchtime outings, he dropped the bomb that Ryder was going to be the newest addition to her show. Of course, she ended up with both the job as a co-host and the arrival of her new segment that seemed to be the afternoon favorite of every Gotham city housewife – but that was beside the point. She agreed to lunch nonetheless and was escorted to a peaceful, tasteful little bistro near the studio.
She couldn’t help but tease the man as he ordered a drink. It was hardly noon and yet he had left the waitress with the words ‘keep them coming’ when she departed with their orders. As a vegetarian, her choices were limited, but their salad selection and custom dressings were the menu items that she came for. The pair laughed and talked about future stories, the newest editions to the city being the highlight of the conversation.
Finally, she managed to get the news out of him once the drinks had begun to lower his guard. The studio was getting her a helicopter! She could hardly contain her excitement as she pictured herself reporting live over the closed off sector of the city, safely out of harm’s way as she provided her viewers with a sneak peek inside the isolated portion. “This is amazing!” She beamed, bringing her hands to her face. Unable to contain her smile, her cheeks began to hurt from the persistent expression.
The two continued their discussion in regards to the future of Gotham Live. In fact, Summer was so enthralled in the conversation that the deafening sound of gun fire and screams seemed to be the only thing to cause her head to turn. Masked figures entered the restaurant, armed with an abundance of weapons. Ears still ringing, Summer moved to get out of her seat much like the rest of the confused diners when a voice rang out. “Everyone on the ground now!” With the threat of gunfire, many dropped to the floor with a series of shrieks.

This had not been the first time Bane had gone into the open in fact it had started becoming more of a normality. Part of this had to do with the fact he didn't like sticking like a soar thumb as bane. If his time with the League of Shadows taught him anything it was to always hide in plain sight. the second thing was...He kind of enjoyed having a double life. Most people knew him as Bane, the monster, the criminal, the terrorist, and to be honest there was a certain thrill about breaking from that. There was a certain thrill about ditching the mask and wearing a fancy suit...and it was one of the few times he could have peace. There were probably fancier places he could have gone to. In the week he had owned that he acquired that casino he practical became a millionaire, but what could he say the place had good food. Course if there was anything that could be said about Gotham, is that peace was never a Guarantee. He looked over to see what was clearly The Anchorwoman known as Summer Gleeson. He had been a fan of her work. She was smart quirky and very charismatic. Of course he liked people like her and more importantly he found people like her useful. All of the sudden there was the sound of gunfire. masked men with an abundance of Weapons came in and started shooting up at the roof. "Everybody on the ground! now!"
Bane looked closely at the men. They were certainly not one of his own men. They didn't dress like them nor did they act like them. More than likely they were independent people just looking to find a quick and easy target.
"The fools...How you think so small." He thought to himself.
As far a he could tell, he was the only guy that remained in his seat and quite frankly he didn't care if he was the only one that was going to stay that way. He refused to bow down to thugs. One of the goons noticed this and walked over wit his weapon aimed at Bane's head .
"Hey We told you to get down on the ground."
Bane took another bite of his meal. before causally looking up as the goon hovered over him
"If you don't mind me and a bunch of others are trying eating so if you be so kind to walk out of the doors and mind your own business I think I can speak for everyone when I say we would all greatly much appreciation." Bane spoke so causally as if he were dressing down a two-year old about running around and throwing a temper tantrum.
The Crook started to get peed off.
"Oh a tough guy? humph...Let's see how tough you are with a bullet in your head huh?"
"Oh please...go back to your mommy before you really do something idiotic that gets you hurt.
The masked man started to snarl in pulled out a switch knife and attempted to lunge it at Bane. Bane however grabbed the guys arm before it even reached him.
"Too late..."
Bane grabbed the guy by the throat and smashed his head into the table before quickly getting up and charging at the other guys. Despite his ls large size, bane had quick reflexes he grabbed one guys machine gun and started wrestling with him. One of the guys behind bane started firing shots, but Bane twisted the thug he was wrestling with around causing the bullets to hit him instead killing him instantly. Bane then charge at the man that fired and put him in a sleeper hold until final the guy lost consciousness. Bane looked over and saw one guy with a shotgun on the other side of the building. thinking fast on his feet, bane took a utensil knife and threw it like a throwing knife. The blade hit the man right in the palm of his hand. The guy dropped the gun and screamed in pain. Giving Bane enough time to charge and grab him by the throat. For a split second, he was tempted to snap the guys neck but decided against it. He didn't want to reveal himself as a monster in front of the people, so instead he gave a giant heave and threw him across the table knocking him out.
He looked over to see three more guys aiming their guns at him but they were shaking.
"Surrender your weapons!" Bane commanded
no one moved.
"NOW!!!" Bane commanded in a more angry voice.
one of the goons set his weapon down and kicked it over to Bane's side.
"O-o-ok man....J-j-just d-d-don't hurt us ok?"

The room erupted into complete chaos. The number of masked men quickly multiplied. Once all entrances and exits were guarded by the armed individuals, the occupants of the restaurant quickly began to give up on any chance of escape and submitted to the demands. Stubborn Summer, of course, was hesitant to complying, making the redhead a quick target for the attention of one of the men nearest to her. As he started toward her, his path was derailed when he noticed the large man that was hindering their operation. Even with the textured mask, Summer could tell the man was seething underneath the fabric as the rest of his men were single-handedly thwarted.
With hands shaking from adrenaline, she pulled the phone from the content of her purse and began to record the impressive scene before her. Her producer quickly climbed out of his crouched position under their table as their situation began to change. The redheaded reporter hardly noticed he was standing next to her as she watched in complete fascination, documented the entire experience.
As one of the men kicked his weapon forward, Summer pulled a face. This all seemed much too easily deescalated, almost as if it were staged. After all, it made since for someone to attempt gaining the recognition while two huge news tycoons sat only a couple of tables away. Just as Summer continued to form questions in her head for their apparent savior, it seemed like things were not quite over.
One of the men was not willing to surrender so easily. “No!” he screamed as the rest of his men began to surrender. He seemed partially panicked but the masked man quickly seized a child with his burly hands, holding his weapon against the terrified little boy in a desperate attempt to regain control of the venue. The occupants gasped, including Summer, who lowered her phone quickly to intervene.
“Alright, big boy. Get on the ground like everyone else or you can take credit for this little fella’s death. Want that on your hands?” The man shouted. The little boy continued to squeal and cry, his mother in a complete panic only several yards away, pleading for the masked man to release her son. A sick feeling resided in the pit of Summer’s stomach as she crouched down with the crowd, unwilling to be the cause of some unwanted violence.
“Please,” Summer spoke up from her positon. “You can let me take the place of the little boy. Please, he is just a child. You are scaring him. My name is Summer Gleeson and I-“ He cut her off. Shouting that he knew exactly who she was and ordering her to shut up. The redhead replied, though began to stand as he contemplated trading the unknown, struggling child for Gotham’s sweetheart. “Alright, make it quick!” He finally blurted, aiming his gun at Summer as she slowly started over. Her heart pounded as she approached the pair. Once she was literally right against the pair, he shoved the boy to the side and took ahold of the young reporter. He smelled of sweat and stale cigarettes, causing the woman to wrinkle her nose. However, the sight of the crying child now in the arms of his weeping mother allowed Summer to be a peace with her choice. Besides, if everyone complied he had no reason to actually hurt her. The gun dug roughly into her cheek and other arm wrapped around the petite redhead. Summer grimaced from the discomfort as the cool metal against her cheek quickly informed her that he hadn’t fired earlier with the rest of the group. He was just as nervous and terrified as the crowd that was holding onto his every word. Something told Summer he was desperate.
The room was at a complete standstill, her green eyes flickered toward the massive man in the suit who had either taken down or scared her captor’s accomplices into submission. The next move was his

Bane got down on the ground and held his hands up. A smile crept over his face. dealing into his own private thought. he played the scenario in his mind
"this mustn't reach on an emotional level
(Grab hot pepper shaker)
first line of attack, blind opponent neutralize his advantage point.
(throws shaker blinds opponent)
commit spear attack knocking hostage out of the way.
(spears criminal knocking Summer out of the way.)
Block kick dislocate leg.
paralyze vocal chords, stop scream
swift headbutt to the upper skull.
in Summary: loss of sight. two broke ribs dislocated leg, ears ringnig shortess of breath. recover time till fuctional capabilities, 4 weeks. Abilty to walk without a limp unlikely)
Putting his plan into action, everything wenet accordingly. Summer gleeson was knocked out of the way with hopefully minimal harm, and the crook was knocked out and on the ground before he even knew what hit him. Bane went over to the young reporter and reached out a hand.
"Are you Alright Miss Gleeson?"

Before she knew it, she was being forced in a different direction. Summer closed her eyes tightly and her reflexes kicked in as she was sent into the closet cluster of tables. More squeals and gasps followed as those Summer was flung toward moved to help ease her impact. Several pairs of hands reached for the young reporter as she was assisted. The disheveled young reporter moved to brush her hair out of her face, eager to what had come of the scene.
The large man had taken out the last of the unwanted intruders. A smile played on her lips as she looked up at him. While the rest of the room seemed at ease, she still had her suspicions. Still somewhat confused with the rapid pace of everything that had happened, her simple lunch had quickly turned to absolute chaos. As the man turned back to her, he made his way through the awe-stricken crowd to make sure she was okay.
Summer took his hand as he moved to help her back to her feet. She was still a speechless (a rare sensation for the young reporter) as she brushed herself off. “Yes, I’m fine – I think so anyway. Just a bit dizzy.” She admitted truthfully with a weak smile. “How rude of me, I suppose I should thank you! How did you learn to do all of that?”

A smile came over Bane's face.
"Bah!" the man grunted playful with his Spanish accent being more prominent than usual.
"Taking on a couple of low down thugs like that's mere child's play for me. I've taken on twice as many." That was not entirely accurate as the full truth was he had taken on as many as four times, but to reveal that kind of information would probably be unbelievable at best. Bane then kissed Summer's hand in the most gentlemanly way possible.
"Where are my manners? My name is Nino Osito. Co-Owner of the Real Steel Robot Warefare Fighting Arena. As well as owner of various other businesses."
Bane pulled out his businesses card (Note: yes it's legitimate) I must say Ms. Gleeson, I was not expecting you here. It is an honor and a pleasure to meet you in person."
Bane Knew she was suspicious, and she had every right to be. That's what he liked about her. She was not like the other mindless sheep that would simply follow a wolf to a slaughter. he then pulled her close and whispered in her ear. so that she would be the only one to hear.
"If you wish to know me. I promise I will answer whatever you ask truthfully...but not here."

His laughter was loud, but infectious. It allowed a smile to slip onto Summer’s face as well. The threat of danger seemed to flee, but she was still slightly uneasy considering the recent events. There was also so much unknown of the large man who seemed to come to the rescue. “Oh?” The redhead, questioned as he boasted about the accomplishment. “Trouble must follow you then if you have run into similar circumstances in the past.” Then again, this was Gotham. Trouble was a common theme in the lives of most.
A pink tint surfaced on her cheeks as he moved to kiss her hand. The young reporter didn’t pull away, after all he had just saved her and it harmless was meant to accompany his introduction. “What a unique name, and a lovely accent. It’s a pleasure to meet you, and thank you once again.” She tried to recall the business he claimed, though she couldn’t quite place her finger on it. It was rare when something of the cities layout slipped the mind of the reporter, but she didn’t dwell too much on it.
Taking the business card, she looked at it, giggling at his flattering comment. “You are too kind Mr. Osito. I’m just glad that you seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Would you take a picture with me? I’d love to mention your valor on my show this evening if you’ll allow it.” The rest of the room seemed to be involved in the conversation between the pair, occasionally someone would approach the large man with their own grateful thank you or show concern in Summer’s condition. The owner of the restaurant seemed eager to make his way around the room and assure the crowd that the police would be on their way.
As she glanced around to observe the happenings in the room and spot her boss, the man pulled her close, clearly catching the redhead off-guard as she turned her attention back toward him. “Oh!” The surprised sound fell from her lips as he whispered in her ear, causing a chain reaction of goosebumps to surface across her arms. He seemed eager to answer whatever questions she might have, though Summer wasn’t sure that leaving the venue with a complete stranger who had just overpowered a small gathering of robbers was truly wise on her part.
She was sure he might notice her skepticism if she waited too long to answer. “The police should be here soon, I’m sure they would want your report on everything that has just happened. As much as I would like answers, do you think it is wise to leave the scene at the moment?”

Seeing the young reporter laugh brought a legitimate smile of hapiness to Bane's face which was an impressive feat unto itself. Sure Bane could fake it, but when he smiled with serious joy than that was somthing. Bane could not say that he did not like being a hero every once in a while, because many times he did, but alas many times being a hero meant you could not do what had to be done.
"Alas trouble is a common theme in these parts. but alas it comes with the territory." He flashed a smile and then took a swig of his drink.
Tis fair I grant your request senorita, but I must warn you, I am absolutely terrible at doing selfies."
Bane shook hands and told them there welcome.
Bane breathed a sigh of relief when summer said the police had been called. "of course. I did not realize the police had been called yet. I was about to call them."

A girlish giggle flew from her lips at his joke, leaving a white smile on the pretty redhead’s face as a result. “I can imagine!” She chimed, as a pair of policeman approached the group. “I’m sure this won’t take too long.” Summer continued on a much more serious note. “We can give our statements and then you can tell me whatever it is that you wanted to get off that broad chest of yours. But first, how about that picture.” Finding a lingering gentleman to take their picture, Summer stood alongside her hero, looping her arm in his and sending the signature white smile in the direction of the camera with her classic head tilt. When the phone was returned to her, she turned it so that he could see their picture.
The smile quickly faded into a smirk as she took her phone back in her hand, nonchalantly recording the conversation between the police and her savoir. She could easily recall the details for the story that was sure to follow, especially after nearly being the hostage in the middle of the chaos. However, it would allow her to be exact when recalling the story on her show and incorporate the actual words in sound bytes. He shook their hands and Summer stood alongside him as he conversed with the officers. The process took a bit longer than she had expected, but eventually the men left the pair so that they could assist in the process of carting off the criminals to jail.
“So,” Summer began, sucking in her cheeks and gesturing with her hands. “Where is it you had in mind?” He had been fairly vague with his words earlier. She still wasn’t entirely sure what answers that he had for her, nor what they might entail. Still, she tried to keep an open mind after an already very long day. Perhaps this was only the very beginning of this story.

Bane stood talking to the police giving his report. Several men in basically ski mask and hockey pants robbed the restaurant and attempted to hold The reporter summer Gleeson hostage. Quite frankly it was nice that his gang was not involved into this. Afterward he and some of laughed and joked mostly about how he had turned the surviving groups of thugs into a bunch of blubbering idiots. the policeman started to leave before one of the fat ones tipped his hat and told Bane and Summer to keep safe. "So...," Summer asked before sucking air in her cheeks "Where is it you had in mind?”
"I figured we could meet in my home in north Gotham, but I will answer any questions you have on the way there if you wish."
Things were interrupted when the sound of Summer's boss could be heard. Bane went over to go and talk to the man. Needless to say the man was not happy that one of his star reporters could have very well been killed tonight. The two talked for a bit an Bane talked about his interest in the news media for what appeared to be the man's delight. Bane then mentioned how he overheard the conversation between Summer and him. Much to the man's surprise and slight discomfort. Bane then smiled, wrote a check for $15,000,000 and then placed it in the man's hand. The man looked at the check eyes wide open.
"What the..." He gasped. "Ya serous?"
"Consider me a sponsor for your news program."
"Uh....yeah sure. Thanks"
There was loud honking coming from outside. Bane looked over to see his Driver Mickie honking at him. Bane then signaled him to come inside. The large giant of a man obeyed. When Mic came in side he and Bane gave each other a big bro hug. Bane then lead the man to Summer and introduced him.
"Miss Gleeson, this is Mickie Cage Jr. but everyone likes to call him "Big Mac" Anyway he is my driver my bodygaurd and a personal friend of mine."
Mickie shook Summer's hand before picking her up and giving her a friendly bear hug.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Gleeson," The man sad in a deep booming jolly voice. "Any friend of Mr. Nino is a friend of mine."
"Easy mac i'm not sure if she is comfortable with the invasion of personal space."
Mac out her down before taking his hat off in respect.
"A thousand pardons mam. I tend to be very friendly perhaps a little too much."
Bane then explained what was going on much to Mac's displeasure.
"I am so sorry Mr. Nino. I should have been there to protect you."
"Bah it's a non-issue. I've been protecting myself for years. Besides these were a couple of low life thugs hardly even child's play."
"Well the limo is ready. Should I prepare for an extra guest?"
"That is up to miss Gleeson."
Note: Big Mac is the same size and strength as Bane so much so to where he can imitate Bane near Perfectly. His Face claim and voice is that of the late and great Michael Clarke Duncan.

Summer couldn’t help but chuckle at his suggestion. “Well I don’t typically accompany men home after only just meeting them, though if that is where you feel safest to speak I am sure it will be lovely.” Besides, there was a great deal of things that she could conclude from an individual based on the things they surrounded themselves with.
As he moved to speak to her dearest producer, whose face was still a deep red after the chaos, Summer witnessed as he wrote what appeared to be something in the form of a check. She wasn’t entirely sure how much it was for or why he was being so remotely generous, prompting the question to fly from his lips. “What was that about?” Arching an eyebrow as she sent a smile and wave in the direction of her producer, she sent him a hasty text informing him that she would be taking the afternoon. Obviously with the hefty donation to his studio, he didn’t mind in the slightest.
It was quite apparent that her hero had an abundance of wealth. She couldn’t help but acknowledge that she seemed to attract the same type of male. Easily he possessed qualities rivaling several of the men she had paired up with over the course of her time with Gotham. To think a girl originally from a small town would now be used to riding in limos and attending events that she had only pictured in her dizziest daydreams as a child.
His driver was friendly, catching the young reporter off-guard as he wrapped his arms around her. “It’s a pleasure to-oh!” Still displaying quite a bit of bruises and marks from her recent defeat at Iceberg Lounge, the redhead winced from the action. Nearly a month had passed since her capture and release, though she didn’t think that her body would ever fully heal from the experience – her mind certainly wouldn’t. “Ooo! Be careful, I’m fragile.” She attempted, smiling only once he set her down and the pain began to subside. “That is quite alright. It’s lovely to meet you as well.” The young reporter continued politely, her hand absent-mindedly landing over the collection of bruised ribs all of which were now a nasty shade of green and purple underneath her stylish clothing. Still, she couldn’t fault the man for being friendly. How was he supposed to know of her misfortune with the Penguin – it certainly wasn’t something she was foolish enough to discuss.
The question directed toward her was quickly answered in tandem with her award-winning smile. “Of course,” The redhead chirped, eager to accompany her savoir in the elaborate vehicle. She waited for the preparations to be complete and followed the lead of her gracious host. “You never did answer my question, Mr. Osito.” Summer continued playfully. “Where did you learn such impressive skills concerning combat?”

"What was that about?”Summer asked after he gave the check to her boss
" I thought I'd give your studio a hefty donation. Consider it compensation for the rough day you had."
Bane noticed her wince and rub the side of her rib cage afer Mac gave his famous bear-hug from what he saw, she was hurt...badly and the injuries weren't knew ones.
"You're...You're hurt. The voice and tone that came out seemed more like that of a concerned child rather than the typical intimidating tone of Bane. For a second, Bane wanted to slap himself for letting his guard down emotionally. Still the woman gave a smile as if nothing had happened, he admired her strength.
"Well the limo is ready. Should I prepare for an extra guest?"
"That is up to miss Gleeson."
"Of course!" The redhead chirped, eager to accompany her savoir in the elaborate vehicle.
Bane let out a small suprised grin. "Well ok then."
Bane then lead the woman to his limo letting the young redhead get in before he did.
limo Interior.
Bane would be more than willing to admit that he was addicted to luxury. It's not that he had to be around it, he could live perfectly fine without it and in fact he had done it throughout most of his life. That being said if he had the means to live in luxury, He would do so whilst sparing no expense. Even in his vehicle this was the case. As it had about everything. Including a Mini Hot tub, A flat-screen TV, and a snack and drink dispenser.
Bane Buckled his seatbelt as Summer playfully asked him a question.
"You never did answer my question, Mr. Osito. Where did you learn such impressive skills concerning combat?”
Mac started to drive as Bane put his hand to his chin intending to keep his promise.
"most of my childhood and early adult life were spent behind the walls of Peña Duro, it was an infamous prison located in Santa Prisca. I was born to serve a life sentence that belonged to my father. my mother was imprisoned up until her death When I was six years old. I was forced to watch as my mother's corpse was being thrown out like a piece of useless garbage into the shark invested waters of the sea below. I learned a very important lesson that day "The world was cold and cruel"
But I survived . I picked up every textbook, every encyclopedia and every dictionary making sure every little insignificant detail was memorized. I found myself a variety of teachers that would teach him skills from mathematics to survival to philosophy. In prison it was kill or be killed. It was a place full of people that made today's criminals look like Boy scouts. They were assassinations, mercenaries, Pirates, Warlords. I killed a man at the age of eight, a criminal tried torturing me to gain information about the prison before proceeding to strangle me. I grabbed a knife and cut off his hand and then stabbed him in the chest there were two names I was given Nino and Osito.
I survived, I became the king of Peña Duro prison. I brought order to chaos and I finally had one thing I never had before called peace. My accomplishment would come at a price. Scientist working on a super solider serum for the U.S government took interest in my take over of the prison. they forced me to become a test subject of this Project Codenamed: Project Venom.
Project Venom killed most of it's subjects and nearly killed me. After the experiment, those of us that survived Project Venom were place in a gladiatorial arena and were forced to fight to the death leaving I was the sole survivor of Project Venom. but before they could brainwash me and use me as a weapon, I fought back. I killed the scientist and set the research in flames. but I knew how to recreate the formula perfectly. it gave me strength, it gave me power but it was a curse. I needed to take it every 12 hours through a system of cables pumped directly into my brain if I did not take it, I would die. Thankfully, I have been able to conquer it. I no longer need it."
A small tear came to Bane's eye. He hated the people that used him. He hated the people he felt had robbed him of life. and he would make sure one day they would feel his wrath.
"If you want to know why I am so good at fighting, why I don't feel threatened by thugs like the one we saw in the restaurant, It's because my entire life. I have been fighting. All my life has been war. Surviving in a world that requires one to kill or be killed. Those people out there, Those animals who brag about surviving in a jungle, they haven't seen anything. I've...I have done things that I'm not proud of. I've done things that would give you goosebumps. I won't try to justify them. I won't pretend to be some misunderstood good guy. All I can say is that there is nothing more I want then peace."
He then let out a sigh.
" I will not lie to you The fact of the matter is Miss Gleeson, My name is Nino Osito, but there are many other names I go by. They call me The Great Bear, The Bat-Breaker, but the most common name you have heard is Bane.
The limo then stopped as they pulled up to Bane's mansion he then let out a sigh.
The front of Bane's Mansion
Bane's Mansion from Back.
"You wanted to know who I am Miss Gleeson, know you know. I've hidden nothing from you. What you do from here is up to you. I will not harm you regardless of what you choose. The fact is I like you. You're smart, you're beautiful, and you are strong and independent. I wish I could be a better man so I could be with someone like you. Anyway you have your story. Write it however your wish. I will not stop you. Mac can take you back home. and you can pretend as though you you never met me. But...if you wish to stay with me for Dinner, I would be honored. I would be more than happy to entertain. I have anything you would want. I can show you around. I can ask for you to maybe give me a chance, but if you do not, I understand."
There was no threat behind his voice, No anger, no rage, just sadness and loneliness. Bane as much as he hated to admit it, felt alone. What good was it having power if there was no one to share it with, and if he were able to have someone like Glesson around, even as a friend, he would feel honored.

She couldn’t’ help but beam, though a blush quickly tainted her cheekbones. “That is certainly generous of you.” Summer comment. “But don’t you think you’ve been the hero enough today?” The young reporter teased. Her excitement only dwindled with the intense pain originating from her ribcage. Of course, it was something that she didn’t want to elaborate on. She had made up a list of excuses for her injury that she simply plugged into her sentences when needed. “Oh-um. Yes, I was in an accident a few weeks ago. It’s taking me quite the time to heal.” The redhead lied expertly with a forced smile. Wiping the tears that had formed from her eyes quickly away before they could be noticed, the pain did not fully subside but lost its intensity as time passed.
With his assistance, Summer climbed into the limo for quite the surprise. It was fully stocked and presented as though the man was prepared for a party that was capable of lasting weeks. “The only thing you are missing is the stripper pole” Summer teased, sending another white smile in his direction. Once the pair was settled and the vehicle began to move, the man quickly began to dive into his backstory. Somewhat surprised that he was prepared to tell her so much with only just knowing her. Nodding with appropriate expression, she recorded the conversation subtly using her phone.
His story was almost heartbreaking, to know that at such a young age he had endured so much. She couldn’t imagine such a troubled origin. To live a life paired with the motto ‘kill or be killed’. While she did sympathize for the man, his story held her captive. Summer placed her hand on his leg in a compassionate manner. “Oh my, that’s horrible. To be so young and forced into such a lifestyle.” Summer commented, allowing him to continue.
Project Venom was an act that she had heard whispers of in the journalism world, though it had been smothered with any attempt to follow it. Her eyes grew wide with the information and an internal sense of delight quickly grew inside the young woman. There were so many questions that Summer longed to ask him, but she was not insensitive. She could see how much this pained him to speak of. This quite possibly could have been his first attempt to speak of the instance. Summer moved to rub his shoulders, forced to sit up slightly considering his impressive height. “Is this the first time you’ve told anyone?”
He continued to tell his story, though the name caused her to tense up slightly. Bane. She only halted her sympathetic gestures for a moment as she processed through the shock of it all. Temporarily speechless, she tried not to let the stories that circled around the name sway her. He promised her safety regardless of what she now knew. While it was hard to fully trust anyone in this day and age, there was something about him that she wanted to trust.
“I’d love to join you for dinner, as well as ask you a couple of questions if it isn’t too painful for you?” She paused, hiding any hesitation that she had toward this arrangement. “I think I can help you, if you’d like for me too? I could help you get your story out there – as both Osito and Bane.” Summer confirmed.
She took the first opportunity to peel her eyes away from the man and toward his home. It was a lovely manor, rivaling many of those owned by Gotham’s elite. Having only recently bought her first home several weeks ago and contributing a majority of her life savings, she could only assume how much such a lavish home might have cost. “Your home is beautiful.” Summer attempted on a lighter note.

one of the interesting things about lying, is that more often the not there are verbal or physical cues that someone is doing it. For most it's a matter of picking on those cues. Bane was an expert about picking up on those cues.
"Oh-um. Yes, I was in an accident a few weeks ago. It’s taking me quite the time to heal.”
Bane didn't buy it. Summer may have been an expert liar, but he knew full and well when something was up , but for now he would play along and not say anything.
as bane told his story, he noted how oddly compassionate Summer seemed to act. When he finished talking about Project Venon, Summer moved to rub his shoulders. never before had he felt such comfortable hands. he couldn't help but grunt and groan in pleasure.
''did anyone ever tell you you would have made a good massage therapist?"
“Is this the first time you’ve told anyone?”
"Batman knows my story but let's just say we don't see eye to eye."
“I’d love to join you for dinner, as well as ask you a couple of questions if it isn’t too painful for you?” She paused, hiding any hesitation that she had toward this arrangement. “I think I can help you, if you’d like for me too? I could help you get your story out there – as both Osito and Bane.”
"No!" Bane said in a voice that almost sounded more like a terrified chid then a powerful warrior. "Please Miss Gleeson. I have many enemies. The people who were responsible for Project Venom are still out there and if they were to know that you know about it, they would destroy everything you have. Please. Gotham needs people like you the way you are now. what you are doing now is far more important than exposing my sob story.
there was a small silence between the two of them before Summer said "Your home is beautiful."
Bane nodded and thanked her offering her hand. however he pulled a small trick. He closed the Limo door on her shirt. The shirt then ripped exposing her abdomen and the brutal Bruising on her ribcage. Bane wasn't really surprised. He simply gave a small sad smile and shook his head.
"What, did you really think I was going to buy the whole accident thing?"
Bane then looked closely at her wounds. Her ribs were so bruised that the skin looked a sort of foulish blueish black, He knew this kind of injury. He had suffered this kind of injury many times at the hands of people like Batman and Ra's. That injury could only occur if someone was kicked an ungodly amount of times in that area. Whoever did this to her wanted to make an example of her, they more than likely had her bugged either with a spy cam or a death device. meaning asking her too many questions might kill if he was not careful.
'I won't ask. there is danger in asking too many questions however I will offer healing. i can't undo whatever physiological you might have and for that i am sorry. i can however relive you of your pain to the point you'd probably forget you were even injured."
he then led her into his house and showed her around. the place was highly secured. In fact it was guarded by people in red battle armor that looked like something straight out of Halo. The Door was Also voice activated.
"Open sesame!!" the silver gate opened and Bane led her inside. One of the Crimson guards bowed their heads and greeted them.

When Bane showed her the kitchen, Servants came out offering her fancy food and drink.
"I guess you can say I've always been an adict for luxary. If I can more than pay for it, I go for it. Now this next room I'm about to show you is my...' He found himself briefly hesitating. "I call it my play room. I know I need to come up with a better name for it."
Bane opened the door. The room was a magnificent sight.
if the room could be described as anything, it would be nothing short of overkill. There were at least 3 large pools and several hot tubs. there was also a large home theater system with it's own food and drink area as well as other entertainment venues.
Bane rubbed his head in embarrassment. "If you are afraid of water Miss Gleeson I deeply apologize. When I was a child staring at the walls of my prison cell I used to have Fantasies about luxury rooms. and when I got the opportunity to make my own well...This is what happened." He the went into a cabinet and pulled out a vile of what looked like a greenish cream.
"During my self-mad exile, i made a pilgrimage around the world, I met a healer from Tibet. she taught me how to make a healing cream that heals even the worse of injuries in a matter of minutes even internal injuries. It's worked miracals for me. Hopefully it will help you."
He then began rubbing the cream on the places where she was injured. Just in the short time that he applied it, the blackish bruises turned to a faded bright red color.
"If this affects you anything like it did me, your about to feel the most comfortable sensation you have felt in a while. don't worry though it's not addictive. When that tingling sensation fades, it'll be like you were never injured."
He simply served while the healing slab took it's effect.
'If you ever feel like taking a swim, we have plenty of bathing suits so just take one and go for it. me casa su casa. there are other rooms i'll be more than willing to show you if you'd like to see them after dinner. I mainly wanted to come here so I could heal you....that and maybe show off a bit."
Good grief. By the time this was all over Bane would feel as though he would have to turn in his masculinity. He was not the Great Bat-breaker that brought fear to his enemies. He was the giddy rich kid wanting to have fun with his cool toys.
Note: sorry for all the overkill with the playroom. i took some of my old childhood fantasies and ran with it. :)

She was glad that she could provide some comfort. After years and years of conducting interviews that had stories that were nothing short of tear-jerking, Summer was rather good at consoling distraught guests. This situation was no different even considering the strong and solid man beside her. “I will keep that in mind just in case the whole reporter, talk show host thing falls through.” The redhead teased in return. Though she couldn’t see herself doing anything else.
The mention of Batman obviously peaked her interest. He was her main obsession from day one and she had even gone to great lengths to help him in certain situations. It was obvious by her body language and facial expressions that she wanted more details on the matter. “What exactly do you mean? If I were to ask him for his side of the story, how would it differ?”
He was very quick to express his concerns in regards to an expose on the life of Bane. Instantly puzzled, she looked up at him with her eyebrows furrowed. “But, I don’t understand. Then why would you tell me of all people if you didn’t want me to help you?” Summer asked, eager for some kind of justification. This information was simply too rich to keep to herself. Not to mention, she was sure that she could be some kind of help concerning the matter.
As she took his hand to leave the limo, she hardly noticed that the material of her shirt was caught in the door. Before she could feel the garment pull against her torso, there was a ripping sound as the material tore. Summer blushed, her horribly bruised torso now exposed. She instantly moved to cover herself though there was only so much that her hands could shelter. It was impossible to hide the massive collection of injuries that her clothing had hid. “Yes?” she managed weakly, finding it difficult to meet his gaze.
Thankfully, he managed to repress any questions one might have, the most obvious being why Gotham’s sweetheart was covered in bruises and suffering from several broken ribs. She almost felt guilty for not providing him with an answer, but she knew that doing so could get her in serious trouble. Admitting the truth at this point was not worth handing over her life. Strangely silent, she looked up at him with thankful eyes and managed a smile. “Really? Well, thank you. Do you maybe have a shirt I might borrow as well?” After all, she hardly wanted to walk around his lavish home topless – on their first meeting at that.
Their entrance was rather grand, the sparkle returning to her wide eyes as they entered the large manor. “This is practically regal! I assume you run a very successful business?” As they toured the home, she couldn’t help but comment on some of its more amazing features. “Oh, a dip in a hot tub sounds wonderful right now.” Summer admitted as they passed a trio of whirling waters.
As he presented the elixir, she moved the fabric of her torn shirt aside so that she could expose the entirety of the bruising. Now as it was completely exposed, she noticed how horrible it looked. The substance felt cool to the touch, but quickly warmed. It almost felt as though it was sinking into her skin, leaving her with a tingly sensation all over. “What is this made from?” Summer’s curiosity had struck again as she waited for an answer. “Thank you, I can't even explain how much this means to me!” she said gratefully, watching in awe as the elixir began to quickly work wonders. As if before her eyes, the bruise began to fade.
Giggling at his comment, she continued to look around and examine his playroom. “I’m sure you are quite the entertainer!” Summer suggested after considering his room and home. “I think I’ll take you up on that offer for a suit. If you want to pick one out for me, I’ll trust your judgement. I’m usually a size small.” The redhead said with a smile, continuing to behave as the ideal guest she was raised to be.
