Unfortunately for those who are hiding, Victor's HUD is equipped with an extremely sophisticated heat-vision sensor. So he can find the men who are trying to elude them whether they're firing upon him or not. When the Joker goes up, Victor remains down and so do his men - as the Joker has his fun, they systematically clear the rest of the room. Well, all except the one whose gun was taken - he hangs back and waits a bit helplessly, as he's not exactly able to be useful while unarmed.
When the Joker calls for some attention, Victor glances up. But quickly noting that the Joker neither needs anything from him nor wishes to show him anything important, his attention is short lived and he instead goes back to what he was doing. And so do his men, following his lead, though some of them appear a little disturbed by the clown on the catwalk.
Once he determines that the room is clear of anyone, he waits impatiently for the clown to rejoin the group, as well as the henchman who had been waiting - who looks pleased to have his gun returned to him. "Do you also play with your food?" Victor asks, sounding unamused and a little annoyed. He wants to get to King, not have his time wasted with the Jokers shenanigans. And he also doesn't bother to actually answer the Joker's question - he simply turns and leads the way onward.

"Ohhh, was that sarcasm? From you...?! I'm honored! However, of course I play with my food! And...I also kill people for fun...especially for fun revenge, Victor, dear" at the beginning Joker's tone was cheerful, but it changed at the end of the sentence, sounding more like a warning and a reminder, like if Joker was trying to make Victor remember that revenge was a fun dish and that those henchmen had betrayed him. Also, it was still a warning, take it as you like.
Freeze was dealing with the Joker...what did he expect from the crazy Prince of Crime? However, the clown noticed Victor's impatience, apparently Joker was affecting the Iceman because witnessing a lack of patience from him was really rare. The Joker followed Freeze, walking behind him, with a smile, but said nothing. Playing was fun, he liked playing with everything and everyone, food and people.
For the attention part, Joker wasn't really waiting for it since that he had killed his former henchmen anyway, but Victor's henchmen couldn't ever work for the clown: no sense of humor. Sure, the clown liked having the attention on himself, but he liked killing more. Joker was always careful when he chose his thugs, he always made sure that they knew how to have a fun time, in fact his henchmen would have enjoyed the uncommon execution and then they'd have laughed at it. Joker had already new henchmen, but he had to take care of the former ones first.
Joker stopped walking, suddenly, and then moved his head to the right, but kept walking again after few seconds. Now, they were in the right room. The King of Nothingness was supposed to be here...or somewhere to the right "Hide and Seek, mh? Ohhh, your Fatesty..." instead of Majesty "...you know that games are fun for me!" Joker pointed at Victor's HUD "And he cheats! I like his style!" Joker said it on purpose and then laughed when his former henchmen made their appearance, surrounding Joker, Victor and the others. They understood that hiding was pointless due to Freeze's HUD. It was clear that King was trying to buy some time, unfortunately for him this kind of time couldn't be bought with money.
Victor didn't like wasting time, Joker made sure of that and the clown liked playing games so...finding him sounded like fun, especially if Joker could kill the very last bunch of treacherous henchmen too "Freeze, what would you say if you went to search for King with your henchmen while I'm killing my former ones?" Joker wanted to kill them by himself so he tried to convince Victor and finding King in the meantime sounded convincing. If Freeze did so then the clown would make sure to give Victor and his henchmen enough time to exit the room and search for Fatesty. King's henchmen started shooting and Joker put a hand in his pocket taking out a plastic wrapping with ka-boom! written on it, he opened it and took a purple gum putting it in his mouth, not paying attention to the bullets, but starting to chew.

The last person that the Joker needs to preach to about revenge is Victor - he knows revenge. He's given it to those who are deserving of it on many occasions. However, he believes that revenge is a dish best served cold - he may take some satisfaction in it, but not joy and especially not humor. And not fun either - he has too many other things to be concerned with to worry about something as pointless as fun.
His henchmen feel similarly, if not to the same degree as their boss. The type of person who works for Victor is someone who is interested in a decent wage for... well, not exactly honest work but if they can meet his high expectations he pays them well for it. In fact, they can expect to get a little extra as hazard pay for participating in this particular venture. They're doing it for the money and not because they enjoy killing people - they're merely willing to kill people if they're paid enough to do it.
And though it may be surprising to someone who puts too much stock into Victor's dispassionate exterior, he appreciates their work. Good henchmen can be hard to find, and that's why he pays them so well. And why he doesn't appreciate it when something happens to him that forces him to find more - it's a long and tedious process to sort the good applicants from the bad, and he doesn't like having to spend that time and effort. Yes, when one disappoints him he'll cut them off in the blink of an eye, but when it's someone else's fault that he loses a good one this is irritating.
So though he has little to be concerned about for himself when they find themselves surrounded since the odds of a stray bullet actually penetrating his suit is so small, he's rather displeased to have his men put in the same position. They have body armor, but that's nothing by comparison. That combined with the delay has him doubly irritated. So he finds the Joker's suggestion that he take care of this problem to be highly favorable. "I'm in favor of this plan," he replies.
Turning to his men, he simply states, "Follow me." And then he starts forward. When the men surrounding them open fire, he fires back - now using his freeze gun to take down anyone wholesale who dares to fire in his general direction. The attackers might as well try to stop a train as try to stop him, and they quickly realize that it's extremely dangerous to try so perhaps they shouldn't. His men form up behind him back to back - taking advantage of the hole in the men surrounding them their boss has made and protecting each other so that they can leave the mess behind in one piece as much as possible. This, of course, leaves the Joker severely outnumbered, but if he offered to handle it himself then Victor is sure that he has a plan.

Joker waited for them to get out while keeping chewing the gum in his mouth. It had a nice taste, but Joker had to hurry otherwise he was gonna taste blood and viscera in his mouth too. The clown spit out the gum that ended up on the floor then he started running away from the piece of gum.
Suddenly he felt dizzy "This isn't the right moment..." he thought, but a part of him also thought that it would be a fun experience. He hadn't ran fast enough though because when the gum exploded he got thrusted forward by the explosion. He heard screams and saw dead bodies fell on the ground. Joker smiled, wearily.
He was still on the cold ground, his vision becoming more and more unfocused. He knew what was happening and there was nothing to stop the process. Not even the antidote that he had created, it couldn't work, apparently. He was going to find what was wrong with him, it was just a matter of time...yes...but how much time did he still have?
The room started falling down, the walls were falling to pieces, some of them even near Joker's body. He tried to stand up, but it was a really difficult task right now. He kept moving though, he didn't stop, slow movements, but still movements. He looked like a purple sick snake.
Joker kept moving forward towards the door, or better, the door wasn't there anymore, but there still was the opening. A little piece of the ceiling fell down on his left leg, it was large enough to hurt him. Joker felt the pain, but it was dulled because all his senses were unfocused. He was going to pass out in the ruining room. Wasn't that fun? Joker started laughing despite of everything, he couldn't help it, he couldn't control it.
In the meanwhile, the King was trying to run away from all this madness. But, he ran into Freeze instead "List...ehm...we could take the clown down together! He is just trouble! He is helping you now, but he could change his mind at any moment and turn against you! But...if we worked together then we could kill him now!" the King was talking nervously, trying desperately to find a way out from this situation. In fact, what he just said wasn't so untrue after all.

Not troubling himself about the explosion behind him - he figures that the Joker would have gotten the best of it, and if he didn't then that's his own fault - Victor leads his men forward. But instead of having to find the man himself, the man makes that annoying part of the process no longer necessary by taking a wrong turn and running right into him.
To say that his last ditch attempt to try to convince Victor to change his mind is ineffective would be a massive understatement. In fact, it isn't until after the rogue fires his cold gun that he makes any sort of response at all. "The Joker is square with me. You are not," he states coldly. Yes he's had his differences with his fellow rogue in the past, but they managed to settle their differences so as far as Victor is concerned it's all in the past. At least until the Joker does something again, but he suspects that the clown will manage to talk him out of killing him again.
Because when Victor has a vendetta against someone, it is his usual preference to kill whomever has his ire. Convincing him to do anything other than that usually takes some doing, though it can be done. It's not enough to convince him that revenge is impossible - he happens to be in the habit of making the impossible happen, as evidenced by the fact that both he and his beloved Nora are still alive. No, what you need to do is to offer him something better than sweet, sweet revenge. And it has to be better enough that it feels better to him, instead of simply being a matter of a larger benefit on paper. Yet it also has to be something that he can't get for himself, and especially not something he could get by killing you and then taking it - because then he could get whatever is being offered and revenge.
So what does King have for him? Money? Diamonds? Not having to worry about the Joker darkening his doorstep anymore? He certainly doesn't need King to be alive to obtain these things - including that last one. He knows from experience that the Joker is surprisingly difficult to kill, but if he didn't want his fellow rogue to be able to find him, he's good enough at finding a good hideout to do that. But he'd probably also have to cut off his contacts with Cobblepot in order to do that, and at least since he's square with the Joker right now that seems unnecessary. No, the only one here that Victor has a real problem with is the one currently at the wrong end of his cold gun.

The King looked at the gun with fearful eyes, he didn't know what to do or what to say, The Joker had to know where the diamonds were otherwise Freeze wouldn't be willing to kill him "Joker doesn't know where the diamonds are! He thinks he knows, but he really doesn't!" he knew he was gonna die...only a miracle could save him. A loud noise came from the other room, after few seconds one of Freeze's henchmen ran towards his frozen Boss "The Joker! He isn't moving and the room is falling down!!" translation: that crazy clown is gonna die!
The King smiled: that was the miracle "Now...only I know where the diamonds are and if you killed me then I wouldn't be able to tell you where they are" his voice had a business like tone "Let that clown die, he is just trouble! One day is going to turn against you too and just because he'll be bored!" that could also be true, the clown was crazy after all. Another loud noise, a noise of something very big falling down "Listen, we don't have much time, that room is gonna sink all the damn ship!" King yelled, if they didn't hurry then they were all going to die because of the damn ship, or better, because Joker had to kill all of his leftover former henchmen by blowing up the room. He hated that clown!!!
"Boss?? What do we do?! We could try to help him, we may have enough time to bring him out of the room" the henchman said, apparently the situation had to be dangerous if the henchman sounded so worried for a mad man...but the henchman was also worried that Joker could survive somehow and then he would track him down and kill him like he did with King's henchmen. Joker was good at scaring people and it was strange because he always smiled to them!
The henchmen were looking at their Boss, waiting for any order. If he wanted to save the clown then they would do so, but if he just wanted the diamonds and let the clown die then they would follow him. Of course. They were under Freeze's orders. Although, the henchman who went into the room seemed anxious and scared of possible consequences. The Joker was still in the room, not completely passed out, but he was on the right path, so much that he could barely move.

What King fails to realize is that Victor's goal here is not to get the diamonds, with the opportunity to confront him as being a nice bonus. No, his goal is to kill King - it's the diamonds that are the nice bonus. Diamonds may be a rare and valuable commodity, but so is respect and he values the latter more highly.
Of course, he would prefer getting both of those if that can be arranged, so King's words do influence what he does. But that's only to turn his cold gun just slightly - instead of freezing the whole man entirely solid, he only freezes the man's legs to the floor. That doesn't kill him, at least not immediately, but it does prevent him from going anywhere.
But before he can do anything further to King, one of his men informs him of the Joker's plight. But in an unacceptably unprofessional manner, which he chooses to address first. "I do not pay you to panic," he says sternly. Translation: the man will either not get paid for this, will get a pay cut, or is fired. Which of those it is probably won't be determined until after this little adventure is over.
There's a momentary pause as Victor considers the situation that he's now in. He wants King dead, he wants the diamonds, and he has a slight preference for the Joker to survive this. And unfortunately it appears right now that he'll only be able to get two of those things. If only he weren't both the brains and the brawn of his operations - then he could delegate one of those tasks to someone else. Instead he'll have to decide the most sensible way to ensure that he can get as much of what he wants as possible.
When the decision is made, he doesn't hesitate. "Come," he tells his men as he turns around and heads back the way they came, so that he can make sure that the Joker will be getting out of this alive. And yes, he's just going to leave King there - maybe there will be enough time before the ship sinks for them to come back and confront him, maybe not. But if not, doubtless the man won't be able to free himself from the ice in time - Victor's revenge will be complete, though perhaps he won't get the diamonds. But that depends on exactly how much time he ends up having, so perhaps he'll get those after all.
Yet the diamonds aren't what's foremost in his thoughts as he returns to the now ruined room. Though some of his men have to do a double take at the change in the room, Victor remains focused on the task at hand. With seemingly little effort, he lifts the piece of the ceiling off of the Joker's leg, tossing it aside. He briefly glances over the man, quickly surveying the damage from the bomb and the fallen rubble - though at the moment he's only concerned about whether or not there's any injuries that need care even more urgently than the need to simply move to a less dangerous location. Medicine isn't something that Victor has any natural skill in, but it's something he's studied and come to know a lot about while he searched for a cure for his wife.
No, his forte is in the fields of cryogenics and mechanical engineering. And thanks to the latter, when he glances away from the other rogue to the ship itself, it's not difficult for him to both check to see if he needs to worry about even more rubble falling from above and gain some sense of how long the ship will hold together and thus how much time he has to work with before they'll definitely need to leave.

King screamed when Freeze froze his legs, he was afraid and...cold...his legs were really cold " Ehiii!!" the King scream seeing Freeze leaving, he screamed something else...something about losing his legs because of the cold, but it was almost impossible to hear once the group reached the room where Joker was. The room itself was all falling apart, but it seemed that there was still time. Strange...if Karma really existed then it wasn't doing a great job right now or the room would have been already all destroyed with Joker trapped forever in the ruins. The henchman who had panicked was still too panicked to figured out that his Boss wasn't happy with him. The henchman was with the group, eyes glued to the Joker...the thug was very afraid of the clown even if the psycho wasn't in his best shape now and looked like a normal injured man more than ever, but the people who had been living in Gotham for enough time knew that Joker wasn't ever a normal man. The Prince of crime opened his green eyes slowly when he didn't feel the weight on his leg anymore. All his body was numb and Joker was very tired, but at the same time he wasn't...his mind was still crazy and active, but his body had another opinion " ...ahhhh....you've come back...!" slowly a smile showed up on the clown's face " Isn't that fuuuunnnnyyyyyy....." someone could mistake that the clown was drunk because of the way he was talking, slowly and with a strange voice's tone...exactly like drunk people talked. Unfortunately, the problem was another one with the Joker. The room trembled heavily enough to make the henchmen look around, it didn't seem that this place was going to resist for long. Joker tried to stand up, but his body let him down. The henchman afraid of the clown, the panicked one, stepped out of the group and went to help Joker, he grabbed the clown's arm and managed to make him stand, although he had to bear the clown's weight on him. The henchman was helping the clown for the same reason why he had panicked informing Freeze about Joker...the henchman didn't want to end up in the clown's bad list if Joker managed to survive all of this somehow. The room trembled again and the floor's cracks started to open. Joker started laughing strongly and his laugh was the only strong thing in his body at the moment " Am I a pretty damsel in distress, kiddo??" Joker joked and laughed talking to the henchman, but the thug didn't react or say anything still too scared of the clown, he didn't know if the clown actually wanted an answer because you couldn't ever tell with the insane clown, but the henchman was too scared anyway.

King might as well save his breath - no amount of screaming or protests has any effect on Victor unless you are his wife - Nora is the one exception to his every rule. Besides, it isn't his legs that he should worry about. He should worry about the fact that the ship is falling apart and he can't move.
But he's well out of Victor's mind by the time that he reaches the Joker. He doesn't bother to reply that no, it's not funny that he came back. In fact, if it's anything then it's mildly irritating. Though it goes beyond that this time - he's certain that nearly everyone wouldn't find this funny, except possibly Harley Quinn and of course everyone knows how valid her opinion of anything is.
Though of course none of those thoughts linger in Victor's mind for more than an instant before he's evaluating the structural integrity of the vessel. "This ship will sink imminently," he says, completely devoid of any sign that this worries him. Instead it's simply a statement of fact. That's partially due to the fact that he's confident that he'll figure out how to save himself and possibly everyone with him, but even more it's a simple lack of care and concern about the situation. Even if the ship sinks to the bottom of the bay, his suit is waterproof.
Of course he'd rather not lose everyone else here - that would be an annoyance to be sure. So rather than stand around and doing nothing, he stands around and looks at the structural beams as he reflects upon the fact that he almost certainly doesn't have enough time to go back for King. But that's okay - King is even more certainly about to die. Still, as he mentally works out the best way to safely extract themselves from the doomed vessel, he asks, "Do you know where the diamonds are?" And, though he gives no indication who he's speaking to, since everyone present already knows that his men don't know that can only mean that the question was for the Joker.
Regardless of the answer, his next comment is about what he's observing. "Our previous damage to the ship has added to the structural instability - it will sink quickly. There is no time to reach the place where we entered or climb to the main deck. We need to create a new exit," he says, already mentally reviewing where the nearest exterior wall is that would not cause a catastrophic failure if it was breached.

"Oh, yes, I know! But, wouldn't you prefer to see the happy side of your life instead? I can show it to you!! You would smile and laugh and be happy!!" Joker commented about the diamonds and then laughed again, but this time only a cough came out. Joker would have said that yes, he knew where the diamonds were even if he hadn't known it because there was a possibility that Victor would leave the clown here if Joker lied about knowing where the diamonds where.
"He doesn't see the funny side in this" Joker sighed talking to the henchman beside him "It's so sad" sometimes people tried to explain to him that no, a sinking ship wasn't funny and that no, Victor couldn't find this funny at all, but Joker was still insane so even his logic was crazy "You see the funny side, right kiddo?" Joker smiled when the henchman quickly nodded because he didn't want to upset the clown in any way.
Joker looked at Victor again when he talked about making another exit "Ohhohhh!! I have explosions!!" Joker put a hand into the suit's pocket and took out some gum "Take kiddo, chew this!" but the henchman moved his head away looking at Freeze "Oh, he's fine with this, riiiight?" the henchman kept looking at his boss and Joker let out a sigh "Ok, that's the plan: I make a hole and you make an ice path on the water" Joker was about to put the gum in his mouth, but the henchman took it away from him, the only reason why he had succeeded to do it was because of Joker's low health and fatigue.
The henchmen were pretty much annoyed and scared at the same time of the Joker right now. He could kill them all because of his insanity. Joker blinked few times and the thug who was holding him had to tighten the grab to not let the clown fall. Although Joker was almost dead and the ship was sinking, the clown was happy: he had killed all his former henchmen and the King was going to die soon too, Joker had heard his screams. The psychopath jester was smiling while losing consciousness.

"I do not need happiness," Victor states rather bluntly, "I do need diamonds." And the fact that the Joker didn't simply state where the diamonds are has him suspicious.
But in spite of what the Joker might think, Victor would hardly kill him for not knowing where the diamonds are. That wouldn't be a smart move - the Joker is worth more to him than mere diamonds. But only in the quite literal sense - it's certainly not because he has any feelings of friendship for the man. No, instead he merely recognizes that the other rogue is more useful. Diamonds can sustain him for a time, but the Joker is an endless source of new chemicals to try, an occasional source of escape from the asylum (which is quite necessary - he's one of the few rogues who really can't escape on his own), and in general worth the trouble to keep around. And can be a source of diamonds, even. So it would be foolish of him to want the clown dead. At least not while they're getting along, more or less.
Ignoring the attempts of the other rogue to talk to his henchmen, Victor doesn't react to their conversation until the Joker brings out the gum. "I have my own method," he comments, before abruptly turning and heading for a nearby wall, ignoring the exchange going on between his henchman and the Joker about the gum. Of course the hull of the ship is significantly thicker than the walls of the interior. But that doesn't mean that the same trick won't work for this wall - it just means that he needs to make it even colder. And that's simply a matter of changing a setting on his cold gun to increase the intensity. He doesn't always dial it up because he doesn't need to - if he did, anyone he shot with his cold gun would simply die instead of having a chance to recover if they were rescued from the ice fast enough. But he doesn't keep it down in order to spare lives - that's not his concern at all. No, it's because when he shoots someone his goal is normally just to stop them - whether or not they die doesn't matter to him - and his gun uses significantly more energy when it's dialed up. So it's more a matter of economics.
With his gun dialed up, it actually looks like it's doing less - no ice shoots out of it. But the metal wall he's shooting at gets noticeably darker and takes on a more solid but more brittle-looking appearance. Once he has enough of the wall to make a suitable exit looking like that, he lowers the gun, steps forward, and simply punches through the wall. It's still strong enough that your average person wouldn't be able to do it, but with all of his servos adding strength to the blow, that section of wall simply shatters. Then, without pause, he dials his gun back down to its usual setting, then shoots almost straight down at the water below. Once he's formed a suitable ice raft next to the boat, he jumps down onto it.
However, the level of the water is far enough below the level of the opening that anyone else jumping would be hazardous - especially if they tried to carry the Joker with them. Fortunately, he's noticed this so the next thing he does is create a suitable ramp for everyone else to walk on - something that all of his men take advantage of immediately. Their boss said the ship was going to sink, after all, and Victor would know. But he ignores their quick scramble to safety and simply reinforces the raft to be sure that it won't sink when the ship does. Then he sets to work turning the raft into a bridge to the shore.
And that task gives him plenty of time to think, and he's thinking about many things. But one of the things that he thinks about is the Joker. He's not going to just leave the man somewhere - if the Joker doesn't regain his senses before they get there, he'll simply take the other rogue back to his closest lab. The field of medicine isn't his forte, but he knows a lot after all the research he's done for Nora and should be able to fix him up enough to send him on his way.
Either way, one thing he knows for certain is that the Joker owes him diamonds now. Whether he resolves that debt by helping him locate King's diamonds or gets them from somewhere else doesn't matter - he gave up the opportunity to get diamonds by rescuing the Joker and he means to collect on that debt. He doesn't do favors for anyone without expecting a return, and he knows that the Joker is plenty capable of paying him back for it in diamonds.

Joker wasn't going to say anything any time soon about the diamonds' location, that because the info was his ticket to safety. There was a possibility that Victor would leave the clown in the ship if the icecube man knew about the diamonds' location because Victor wouldn't need the psycho clown anymore...it was just a possibility, but it was enough for the Joker. In other words, the Joker didn't trust anyone...ok, maybe he trusted Harley, but the psycho clown had basically brainwashed her so Joker's partner couldn't count.
However, the clown was a little confused in the head, otherwise he would have understood that Victor wasn't going to kill him anyway, but the prince wasn't feeling very well so a little bit of confusion was acceptable. Victor surely had his good reasons to not kill the clown, but what if Joker thought that being buddies wasn't funny anymore? Having Joker as an enemy wasn't funny. Oh, well, Freeze knew how to defend himself from psycho clowns anyway, surely he had a natural shield against dark humour, he never smiled! It was worse than Batman.
The henchman grabbed the Joker with both hands when the clown almost fell on the floor "Hey! I need help!" two other henchmen grabbed Joker too and then they descended the iced-path made by Freeze. The ship was going all Titanic on them so everyone wanted to hurry up, only Freeze seemed the only one capable of calmness.
All the henchmen exited the ship "Joker is still unconscious, what do we do with him?" the henchmen holding the clown waited for orders. Seeing the Joker so harmless could trick the mind into thinking that the porcelain man wasn't so powerful after all, in fact he couldn't do anything now so it would be an easy kill. His green eyes closed and a calm expression on his face made the psycho clown look less serial killer, it looked like he was just sleeping, but the henchmen holding him were still afraid that the clown would suddenly wake up and kill them just out of...boredom? Everyone knew that Joker didn't like being bored. So, it was clear that the henchmen didn't want to help the clown, but they had to do what their Iced Boss told them to do.

Ignoring the sinking wreck of a ship behind him, Victor is working on the pathway to the shore even as his men are recovering from their hasty exit. Unlike them he doesn't glance back to watch the doomed vessel slip beneath the waves with an expression of mild horror. In fact, not for the first time it seems like he's paying attention to nothing until one of his men asks what they should do with the Joker. "Bring him," he says simply, without so much as glancing up. This will displease his men, but he pays them enough to be willing to endure a lot of things that they don't like - and the more competent they are in the face of hardship, the more that he pays them. They're going to get paid quite well today.
With the Joker unconscious, the mood of the situation changes - the clown is loud and chaotic while Victor is cold and organized. It's not difficult to settle down and focus your attention on your duties around Victor, and that's quickly what his men do now - and since the job is pretty much over, there's few duties to perform. So they do the only thing that they can do - stand around and wait as their boss constructs an ice path back to land. And in time, he does - he even managed to make their path end near the vehicle they came in.
It's a large, white van with no windows in the back - very plain and boring, but that's pretty much the point. Victor climbs in the back because he doesn't fit up front with his suit on, and it wouldn't be a good idea for him to be near a window anyway - he's not exactly normal-looking. Two of his men sit up front, while the rest pile into the back with him. It's not exactly roomy with this number of people, especially since there's one extra, but it's not a very long ride either.
Victor has a number of hideouts scattered throughout the city. None of them are the same, and some are better than others. The one that he heads to now is the only one that has an adjacent normal-temperature medical room of sorts. It isn't very often that he needs to actually use his medical knowledge on anyone but Nora and she (until recently) could handle the cold temperatures that he thrives at just fine. During the odd event that he does need to use it, the person he's tending to wouldn't exactly benefit from such low temperatures, and so he has this room - he needed it once, and since then there's not been any reason to get rid of it. So this is where he plans to take the Joker.
Not that he has any intention of curing whatever ails him - no, Victor has no reason to do that. Instead he's content to simply treat the problem, not solve it - to get the Joker back on his feet just enough to be sent on his way. That much is not a waste of his time - any more and it would be.

A white van...Joker would have made a joke about babies and white vans...but he was still passed out so he couldn't do it. The henchmen didn't dare to admit their dissidence to their boss, he was scarier than the passed out clown at least for them because they knew how their boss could be...very coldly dangerous. Also, Victor's henchmen didn't like the clown and Joker wouldn't ever hire them because they weren't enough crazy for his taste...too boring...but they knew how to do their job and surely they knew when they had to keep their mouths shout.
The van stopped at Victor's hideout, one of them, and the henchmen brought the clown in the medical section of the hideout. Joker didn't even seem to have a problem, his breath was regular and it seemed that he was just sleeping. He seemed so calm...it was upsetting. The henchmen left the clown there, happy that they didn't have to deal with him for awhile. The clown was unpredictable...suddenly, he could wake up and harm one of them just because. Especially now that he seemed more unpredictable than usual because of his health condition.
Joker opened his eyes after a good half-hour, he was actually feeling better, but he was just glad that this time he didn't forget what he was doing before passing out. The King was dead...did it make Joker the King of Crime instead of Prince? The clown smiled and stood up slowly looking around. He was in some medical room, but not in a hospital "Freeze didn't let me die, this must be one of his hideouts" Joker thought.
"Ehi! You!" Joker called a henchman and such henchman understood that his name was You now "Go call your cold boss, there are diamonds to fetch, but first we need to talk about my acid" the one that Joker had asked Freeze to fix. The fixed acid was the only way to get the diamonds...Joker had more than one reason why his acid was necessary, but Joker's acid was his trademark and he worked with it a lot of course.
Joker didn't get out of the medical room deciding to stay inside, especially because he was sure that the hideout's temperature was rather cold so it was better if he didn't wander around. Joker pressed his index against his throat on the jugular vein to feel his heartbeat, it wasn't irregular for now. Meanwhile, the henchman informed Freeze that Joker was up.

When they arrived at the hideout, Victor gave the Joker's condition a quick check, but the man seemed stable so whatever was ailing him probably wouldn't simply kill him so Victor decided to simply let him rest and see if that would work. If that's not sufficient, surely the man's condition would deteriorate and he could deal with that problem then.
Fortunately, rest seems to do the trick, because only a relatively short time later one of Victor's men is reporting to him that the rogue is awake. Without looking up from where he's working in his lab, he responds by simply saying, "Provide him with sufficient clothing and tell him that he can find me here." He's not about to interrupt what he's doing - he just did the other rogue a huge favor by saving his life, and now he's supposed to come running when the other man calls? Of course not! Besides it would take less time for the Joker to get bundled up than it would take for him to finish up what he's doing and go put his suit on again.
Besides containing the only normal temperature medical room, this hideout is also unique in other ways. It's one of the more hidden, more secure locations that fewer people know the location of - he never asks Oswald to make deliveries here, for example, so it's likely that the man doesn't know of this place. Because of this it's a good place for him to have one of the better, larger research laboratories, both because he's less likely to be disturbed here and because he needs to worry less about something happening like the police raiding the place and taking everything.
And at the moment Victor is in the midst of it, working at one of several tables laden with equipment. If the Joker would care to notice, whatever vein of research that Victor is working on is completely different than the one that he was working on the last time the Joker saw him working. But this is not unusual - Victor's known to grasp at straws when it comes to things that he might try in his laboratory. And then when it doesn't work out he has to scrap everything and start all over. The last time the Joker saw him he was doing something with DNA. Now he seems to be analyzing some sort of an explosion.
