" Do you want to build a Snowman...? Or depose an evil Kiiiing?" the Joker made his entrance singing those lines with his arms open as if he was a singer on stage and probably he was picturing himself like that right now. The clown grabbed one of Freeze's henchmen and made him take a turn dancing, but then Joker let him go so the henchman fell down on the ground. Joker started laughing and he looked like crazier than the usual, he seemed drunk. But, he wasn't really drunk of alcohol. He said to Freeze the place of the meeting and the hour, King had a boat and they were near it but not so near to be seen. Joker was ready to strike, he had been feeling so much boost lately " Look! The Snowman!! Hey...! May I have an autograph, please..." Joker asked Freeze when he saw him between the henchmen " Who is your stylist? Because that suit of yours is smashing!" the clown started laughing " ...smashing...what kind of word is that?!" the Joker shook his head smiling. " But...!" Joker tilted his head " Would you wear a medieval jester dress, wouldn't you? I was going to wear it because, you know, I'm the Joker..." the clown made a little bow " ...but, you know, I'm the Prince too!" Joker was talking as if his mumbling had a sense, but it just made sense in his crazy head. Joker had a purple bag with him, there was a jester face on it, painted with red ink, well, it seemed red ink. The clown took a jester colorful hat from there and put it on " See...? It suits fine with me! But, this must turn into a crown tonight! The King's crown!" Joker's smile turned into a grin " ...and you can have all the diamonds you want, he has plenty!" Joker looked into Freeze's eyes moving the head down so that the gaze was more highlighted.

Given the sheer difference in personality between The Joker and himself Victor would find himself quickly irritated to the point that he couldn't work with the man if he allowed himself to be. But since dealing with him is a fact of life, whether he likes it or not, he might as well force himself to tolerate him as much as he's able. Which means absolutely ignoring everything he says that's irrelevant, because attempting to follow the conversation otherwise would drive him insane.
However, this time he's finding himself having to wait through an unusually large amount of time before the Joker actually says anything on topic. Rather than actually listening to the words, Victor more observes the mannerisms of the man who is supposed to help him once again demonstrate why he is to be treated with nothing but respect this evening.
"Are you all right?" he asks when the clown is finished - a question that he's explicitly known to never ask. He doesn't care to know how someone is doing. And he doesn't care about that now - he simply notes that the clown is behaving unusually, and if that's going to affect his performance this evening then he'd like to be forewarned about that.

The Joker rose a brow "Helloooo?? There is someone in there...?" he was going to knock-knock at Victor's hat-thingy but he stopped himself in time, not because it would have bothered Victor, but because Joker was respectful with him, he had to if the clown wanted to work with the snowman. However, Joker noticed that Freeze wasn't actually listening to him and that wasn't respectful, but he knew that it was Victor's way to find the right path of their collaboration. So, Joker let it be.
The clown smiled "Ohhh, you care then??" a laugh, he knew that Freeze didn't really care, not about him at least, but he cared about the job, about killing the King and that was enough for the Prince because he wanted to kill him too. However, the clown was feeling great, it was the effect of the boost, everything was so funnier! Joker showed a big smile nodding "I'm frabjous, old champ! Argh...that sounded too Hattery" the clown laughed and started walking towards the ocean. It was a nice night, not too much wind, not waves, but the boat was too far away.
Joker placed the jester hat better on his head looking at the boat "We need a red carpet! One of yours, so it would be white actually, I like white!" the clown turned towards Freeze pointing at the water and then he moved his finger as if he was making a path, he stopped the finger on the boat, smiling of course.

The relationship between Victor and the Joker is always at a delicate balance - he's as tolerant as he can be but he has his limits, while the clown seems to find it difficult to simply contain himself but appears to try to make an effort for him. While they both do that, everything is fine, but if either of them don't then it's liable to get very messy.
On the whole, the Joker is probably both the most creative and the most clever of the two of them, but Victor is not unintelligent and doesn't suffer from any of the personality traits that tend to get in the Joker's way. He is focused, practical, and efficient - all of which means that he's a very effective enemy to anyone. And so any conflict with the Joker is to be avoided because it would certainly be bad for both of them, let alone anyone caught in the crossfire.
Besides, just as there's much to be said against getting into conflict with the Joker, there's much to be gained in mutual cooperation. Never as much as there appears to be, as the Joker is hardly the most reliable person and is likely to ruin something, but he manages to make himself a plus instead of a minus most of the time. So even though he's still a bit skeptical about his current partner in crime's mental stability, he chooses to allow himself to be reassured - though he sees no reason to react or comment upon it.
When the Joker turns toward the ocean, he hardly needs the gestures to aid his understanding of what the Joker is asking him to do - the words are enough even if they're so inanely put. Raising his gun, he shoots it at the ocean, causing a build up of ice. The salt of the ocean makes it more difficult to freeze than purer water, but his gun is certainly up to the challenge. Starting at the shoreline and then gradually directing his gun's blast out toward the boat, he builds a path of ice for them to walk upon - taking his time to make it good and thick. It may not take much ice to not crack under the Joker's weight, but while fully suited up the same can't be said of him. And he has reason to be especially careful - if he did fall in the water his suit would keep him from drowning, but it also definitely doesn't float so getting back on shore would be difficult and unpleasant.
Once the icy path has grown long enough to safely hold his weight, he walks onto it and directs his gun further ahead. By continuing that process it isn't difficult for him to build them a path of ice that leads all the way to the boat.

Joker observed Freeze making the way towards the boat. The clown really liked the Snowman's toys because his toys could actually freeze a smile and the clown would love seeing it, maybe he will ask Victor to freeze the King's smile, but it wasn't certain if Victor would do that, probably not, but the Jester could always ask...politely...and with as less punchlines as possible...hahahah...yeah, sure.
Joker walked beside Freeze tilting his head, hands behind the back in a deep in thought manner "How's my acid? Da..." Joker sighed holding his phrasing, he had to be less jokery around Freeze...but it was almost impossible for the Joker especially now because of the boost. Joker closed his eyes for few seconds and felt the cold breeze of the night on his white skin then he looked right into the ocean when he opened the eyes and suddenly he wanted to jump into the water and swim, but he didn't do it moving his gaze on the henchmen walking on the ice-carpet.
"...I wanted to see how things were going, but I had people to meet, things to do, etc etc...I'm a people person, well, I kill those people but still" Joker knew he was talking too much again so he started walking on the ice "Anyway, I'm sure the King's diamonds will be enough as payment or you still want a favour from me?" the clown showed a big smile to Freeze and then licked his red lips, the lipstick had a strawberry flavor, it was Harley's.
Joker stopped walking and took something from the bag, a round object with a big button in the center. He pushed the button and the thingy started beeping "Let's see how many bowling pins I can strike..." the Joker took something else from the bag, two little metal things, and plugged them to his shoes, on the behind heels "...GERONIMO!!!" flames came out from the metal things and Joker was pushed further in an excessive speed. He passed over the people on the icecarpet and didn't hit Freeze for miracle, but the ice carpet wasn't finished and so Joker had to jump at some point.
Joker jumped and he hit the boat very hard with his face "Ouch..." the clown laughed and attached the round thingy on the boat then he fell down in the water. In that moment, the round thing exploded and now there was a hole in the boat. Joker came out from the water and climbed on the ice carpet, he didn't have his bag or the things behind his shoes anymore sign that he took them off while he was underwater, his hat was still on his head though "Looky..." Joker laughed "...a boat around a hole!" he kept laughing.

"Finished," Victor replies with his usual terseness, not looking away from his task, "And King's diamonds are sufficient to compensate me for the loss of my hideout. I expect you to honor our original agreement with regard to the acid." If he was more inclined to be argumentative he'd accuse the Joker of attempting to get out of the favor, but it's pointless to do so - either the man was innocently assuming that the diamonds would be enough and he's been informed otherwise, or he was indeed attempting to get out of it and has discovered that won't work. Either way, no need to take issue with it now.
Focused far more on what he's doing than on the Joker's antics, he doesn't note what the other man is doing until he his attention is drawn to it by the clown's words. Even so, he doesn't comment. Yes, he could remark about the likelihood of the man getting himself killed by that activity, but he doesn't imagine that the Joker would care. And he's also aware that this particular man cheats death as if that were a hobby, so declaring any activity to be too dangerous for him would probably be a bit premature.
In fact, it seems that the clown has found a way to make himself useful with the stunt, though Victor doesn't remark upon that either. He simply takes advantage of the hole in the ship by finishing off the icy path with a slight ramp so that everyone will be able to walk right in. Assuming that they can manage to walk up a ramp made of ice, anyway - it's very slippery. But walking on ice is nothing that Victor didn't plan for when he designed his suit, so he doesn't have to worry about that problem. Neither do his men, as such slippery surfaces are a common occupational hazard for them, so they're prepared for that problem. So Victor leads the way into the ship, ready for action.

Joker smiled "Ohhh, I hoped you would say that! Of course I'll make that favour for you!" Joker nodded, the clown just wanted to be sure. He really wanted to make that favour for Victor, he liked working with him even though ice could be boring, it just stayed there, motionless. Victor resembled some of the ice's characteristics indeed and not just because he was cold as the ice. However, certain Victor's characteristics made the Joker happy to work with him, well, not always happy because the Icecube here could be very boring sometimes, but he was a useful business partner, Victor knew what he was doing.
"Your henchmen never laugh??" Joker rose a brow referring to the joke about the boat, or at least he believed it was a joke "What? Is it too cold to laugh...?" Joker sneezed, he was still soaked "Oh..." the water was cold because of Victor's ice bridge and Joker was aware of that, but he had decided to jump anyway. Surely, just cold water couldn't damage the clown, it was the Joker! The prince sneezed again, he could find this funny if it wasn't him.
Joker threw away the tool he used to climb up on the slippery ice carpet, it looked like a metallic stake, and entered in the ship looking around. He didn't seem having problems walking on the ice carpet, in fact it seemed like he was sliding on it. The explosion had drawn attention of course. Good. It meant fun! Joker cackled seeing dead henchmen on the floor, those who were near the hole. The prince took a revolver from a closed pocket in his jacket and turned around when other henchmen arrived, shooting at them. Joker went behind a corner and started shooting back. It was clear the he was just taking time, he was observing the ship. They had to find King.

There's something about how apparently eager the Joker is to do him a favor that causes Victor to be vaguely suspicious, but he only holds onto that thought for a moment before he sets it aside. No, it seems unlikely that the Joker would cheat him. Of course... you never can be sure with him - working with the Joker can be a bit of a gamble at times. But either way, such thoughts are distracting him from the task at hand.
When the Joker questions the reaction of his henchmen to the joke, roughly half of them give a small, hesitant laugh as if they're completely uncertain about whether or not they should be laughing - does that make the situation better or worse? It ends up being a pretty pathetic sound and it ends quickly. Their quietness before was mainly because none of them are especially eager to do anything that might attract the Joker's attention to them specifically. But if he might get mad at them for not laughing some of them try, at least.
Victor himself ignores the exchange, taking the question as unimportant and rhetorical. After all, they have more important things to do. Things like crushing all resistance as they board the boat. Freeze doesn't bother to try to dodge the bullets shot in his direction - while bullets strong enough to penetrate his suit do exist, it's rare for him to run into those as they'd be considered overkill when shooting at pretty much anyone else. So he ignores them as he moves straight forward, shooting back at them with his cold gun. He has to be careful to keep his shots short blasts only - it wouldn't be very helpful of him to accidentally plug up their way with ice.
His men, meanwhile, don't have armor like him so they have to do the same thing as the Joker and try to keep out of the way of the bullets - some of them take advantage of their boss by standing behind him as if he were a moving shield, while the others duck behind corners and whatever else is available. And their guns shoot blasts of cold like Freeze's, but aren't as powerful, so they don't need to worry about accidentally making a wall out of ice. They're quite good at turning the henchmen on the other side into frozen statues, though.

Joker rose a brow when the henchmen tried to laugh, they were funny in their own way, their fear of him was funny. Sometimes, he could understand why Scary was so fond of scary stuff. Joker shook his head smiling "Argh...you are really his henchmen" he didns't say it in an unrespecful manner, it was just a statement. However, they did know how to have fun in the battlefield, that was for sure! Look at them! Playing with freezing guns! Joker really, really, reeaallyyy wanted to try one!!
The prince looked around and saw one of Victor's henchmen near a box enough big to hide behind it crouching. Joker ran towards the henchman shooting at random at the other side to have some cover. Joker reached the box and crouched behind it, but the henchman was about to move away when he saw the clown, however the Joker grabbed him "Stay" he said like he was giving orders to a dog, the henchman stayed. Joker reloaded his revolver and gave it to the henchman taking the freezing gun "Be sure to hold still when shooting with it, kid" Joker winked at him and then started laughing looking at the freezing gun. The henchman wasn't still really sure of what just happened. Joker just gave his revolver to the henchman so that he could still protect himself, he did it because he was one of Victor's thugs and the clown didn't want to know what would happen if one of his henchmen ended up dead or injured because he had taken the freezing gun, the Joker here still wanted to play with the Iceman and build snowmen so he couldn't let the henchmen die.
Now, Joker came out from the cover and started shooting with the freezing gun. It was more difficult than it looked like "Uhhh, gotcha!!" he shouted at some point freezing one of his former henchmen, but then he heard his rovolver shooting and a scream "Kid! I told you to hold-still!!" the henchman fell down because of the recoil and he was now a easy target. Joker rolled his green eyes and ran towards Victor's henchman aiming the freeze gun and moving it to the left and right pulling the trigger, that gave him enough time to reach the henchman and take the revolver giving the freeze gun back "The one on the left: five points chest, ten points headshot" Joker closed the left eye, put out his tongue in a focusing manner and aimed to the head of the said henchman on the left then pulled the trigger hoping to hit the bull's...head.

Victor, meanwhile, really isn't paying too much attention to what anyone else is doing. He's too busy crushing every sign of resistance that he can as quickly as he can. Just because his suit is pretty proof against their bullets doesn't mean that it's a good idea for him to take his time in dealing with them. After all, the longer the fight lasts, the more likely he'll lose men. And he doesn't like losing men - hiring more is always an irritating process.
Fortunately, he's very, very dangerous. His suit does slow him down somewhat from what he could be, but he's extremely strong and powerful - it isn't that difficult for him to simply walk up to whoever he doesn't want to shoot at him anymore and if they don't move fast enough they're dead in short order. It's quite literally a case of 'you can run but you can't hide'. Unfortunately, more of them move than don't, but that's why he has a gun - it's really difficult to move to a new place without exposing yourself to the icy blast of his cold gun. So if Freeze is headed toward your hiding place, it's a bit of a catch-22 - either staying put or running is a bad idea and will likely get you killed.
This is why Victor is so effective in the close confines of the boat, picking off those foolish enough to fire at him one by one. Though once the welcoming committee that turned up when they entered the boat starts to thin out a bit, he looks over at the Joker - too busy to talk to him but wondering if the man might know his way around the boat better than he does. He's not especially accustomed to boats in general, let alone this one, so he hopes the other man has some inkling of where King would be. If not, well, they can always start to systematically search the entire boat, but that would take more time.

"These freezing guns are really funny! HahaHAHAHA!!!" Joker laughed maniacally but then he suddenly stopped frowning when a Victor's henchman got hit "Okay, this is becoming ridiculous, I cannot be your babysitter! You are not even dressed properly! No diaper...no crying...well...I could do something about that..." Joker mumbled while some bullets passed near him, but he didn't even flinch when the bullets passed near his body, he just seemed very disappointed.
Joker's gloved hand pressed against a wound on the right arm where a bullet just hit him, not entirely, just a scratch, but still...the clown looked down at the wound slowly and a little smile started showing up. Joker marched towards Victor taking freezing guns from the henchmen while passing by, they didn't even dare to protest or anything seeing that something was going on and seeing blood on Joker's right arm.
"Let me through" Joker said to Victor in a serious tone starting to run against the enemy. His former henchmen knew what was going on, they already saw their ex-boss in that state when Joker was about to make a massacre. The prince of crime had few freezing guns with him, all the guns that he could carry so he started shooting freezing death. The King's henchmen shot back, but really, Joker was in massacre mode...someone just dared to scratch him.
Victor was really doing a great job, the enemies were lowering in mumber so quickly thanks to him and this was helping the prince with his actual task, oh, not finding the King, but finding the henchman responsible for the scratch. Revenge, of course. Joker knew who shot at him, he saw it "He's mine!" Joker yelled looking straight to one of his former-henchmen. Anthony tried to run away, but Joker grabbed him, twisting and bending his arm "Oh...Anthony! Nice seeing you! Look at me! Because me is the last thing that you'll ever see again" with that words and a big smile Joker killed his former-henchman with the revolver this time. Joker pressed the revolver against Anthony's, pressing really hard because the clown knew that the revolver just finished the bullets, in fact a red flag with BANG! written on it appeared once pressed the trigger. It was attached to a metal stick and the stick was strong and quick enough to penetrate Anthony's head.
The Joker let the henchman fell down on the ground with the revolver stuck in the head. Meanwhile the King's henchmen were retreating away because they were too few, just Victor could actually kill them all "King is trying to escape while we are here having fun..." Joker rose a brow when the boat started moving "...this is not funny" Joker sighed "Freaks!" King's voice could be heard in all the boat "This is even less funny" Joker could feel the boost fading away, it did go and come at cycles and the clown became less clownish when it faded away "I hope you'll enjoy the cruise!" the King laughed and Joker covered his ears with a grimace "Laughing is my speciality!" Joker complained and he shot to one of the speakers, freezing it "Fetch" then he said to one of Victor's henchmen throwing a blue-print to them "I did my homework" Joker said to Freeze and started walking towards a hallway, the boat was very quiet now without King's voice and his henchmen all around, they were preparing to fight soon though.

In general, Victor doesn't worry about his henchmen in these situations. In fact, he tends to pay a little bit more than your average boss in this town specifically to get some of the better ones in his employ - you get what you pay for, and he finds that it's worth the extra money. Of course, that's mostly because he expects them to watch out for themselves - he's not their babysitter either. If someone gets themselves killed then they deserve it. But they usually don't, and that's why he pays them so well.
No, he's just methodically working his way through those foolish enough to fight him. When the Joker suddenly charges at one of the men he has to quickly adjust his aim to avoid hitting the man, but he doesn't complain and instead simply finds a different target. Eventually they start to retreat because, indeed, he could kill them all. He still could - they're in a boat, so there's only so many places to run to. And he has a thermal detector on his HUD, so they can't hide either. But he doesn't care about whether or not he kills all of them - King is the one he wants, not the others.
He doesn't bother to comment about whether or not this situation is funny and whether or not that's acceptable - because it's definitely not funny and that's completely acceptable, but he knows that it would probably turn into an argument if he stated these opinions. Instead he's simply pleased to hear King's voice - that means the man is for sure on the boat and probably believes that he's somewhere safe. Both of those are good things. Seeing the blueprints tossed to one of his men, Victor quickly walks over and takes them from him, holding them out in front of himself only for a brief moment before handing it back. Mechanical devices - even a large one like a ship - is something that he's exceptionally good at, so reading blueprints is as easy for him as being handled a scale model or something.
"This way," he announces to his remaining men as he follows behind Joker, now confident that he knows where he is and where he's going. And that they'll get King - there's very little that can get in Victor's way if he knows where you are and wants to hurt you.

While Freeze was observing the blueprints, Joker was looking at the skyline, it seemed that the clown was like projecting something, like if there was a blueprint in front of him, the city was beautiful with potential smilers ready to...to...suddenly, he had to grab something, or someone in this case because he grabbed the henchman next to him, Joker was trying to not fall down and the henchman too seen that he got caught in surprise and Joker wasn't really a feather, not even a purple one.
It was like all the energy in him just flew away, leaving the clown with nothing "What...?" Joker thought frowning, but then he understood...it was the antidote, it gave him a boost and it was taking all away now...the bastard. Joker just wanted to sleep...but the image of him killing King showed up in his head "I have to pop..." the clown mumbled "...that oversized balloon..." the henchman leant forward to hear what Joker was saying, maybe it was something that he needed to report to Mr. Freeze, but Joker pushed the henchman away. The clown managed to stand by his own for...few seconds...then he found himself on the floor.
The ship was moving away from Gotham, bringing them...somewhere, King was planning something apparently, but Joker was too sleepy to worry about that, the clown didn't worry in general though "It seems that the joy juice is not working anymore...I'm not feeling any joy right now" the Joker yawned, still on the floor, however he was searching something in his pockets. The antidote was unstable, it meant that it wasn't the right antidote and his body was still ill...Joker laughed a little, he found this funny somehow.
"Oh...there you are! Trying to sleep away from uncle J...?? Hahaha, sleep away..." it didn't make any sense, but Joker didn't care and just grabbed the little red pill and put it in his mouth, swallowing it. His heartbeat increased suddenly, too much, he did feel his heart in the throat, maybe it was trying to escape "Ohhh goodie! I feel much better!" it wasn't true. Sure, he wasn't feeling sleepy anymore, but better? Nope and he knew it "Better if we move fast, guys...the Prince has vassals to kill..." his heart was beating too fast, it wasn't a good thing and besides he needed to see someone for this antidote issue. Joker started walking towards the destination, but next to Freeze seen that he knew where King was too "If...ehm...I fall asleep or my heart stops beating...you know...normal stuff...well, I'll ask gently if you don't leave me to die" the clown said to the ice-man with a tired smile, tired because of the sleepy situation, even though he wasn't feeling sleepy anymore, his body was still sleepy. The Joker just asked that because he didn't want to die like this, he had planned a big-show for his death so...yeah...dying now wouldn't be funny.

In a single-minded pursuit of the man that they're here for, Victor neglects to notice the Joker's trials and tribulations. They don't really matter to him anyway, just so long as they don't cost him his revenge. He is meanwhile leading his men straight into a dead end. Or at least, it's a dead end when he gets there. No, he isn't lost - in fact, he knows exactly where he is in relation to the rest of the boat now and he came in this direction because he's in a hurry.
With a quick glance over the wall, he simply checks to make sure that it's actually made of the same material as the blueprints indicated - a thin, waterproof metal. A fine material for the interior of a ship: not so heavy as to unnecessarily weigh down the boat, but sturdy and sealed well enough as to be of some use should the ship take on water. He has other plans for it, however.
Stepping back from the wall, his henchmen all make sure that they're behind him. They've all seen him do this enough times to know what he's about to do. Demonstrating the difference between the guns he gives his men and his infamous cold gun, he quickly blasts the entire wall with it. Then, lowering his gun, he steps forward and punches the wall with full force. The combined shock of the extreme cold and the strength given to him by his suit is more than enough for the wall, and it's broken with seeming ease - opening up a new route faster than it would have taken them to go around.
Stepping through, it's about this time that the Joker catches up to him, looking much more... energized than he was the last time that Victor glanced his way. But he doesn't remark upon that, or even care all that much, for that matter. He simply notes that perhaps the Joker was accurate when he said that he was well enough to participate in this venture, even if the Joker's request upon reaching him seems to make that assessment a bit more dubious than it was.
Though the request itself causes him some slight pause before he responds by saying, "I'd consider it." He really could see himself going either way in that situation. Which would be rather cold of him after everything that he and the Joker have been through, but what else did the other rogue expect of him? The fact that he'd even consider it is a big deal.

Joker made a big smile when Victor said that he would consider it and it was enough for the clown, really, the fact that Victor wanted to consider it was saying a lot. Freeze and Joker were different for certain aspects, the clown was all about being emotional instead Freeze was all about being...cold. Well, it made sense at least.
The Joker looked at the gone-wall and smiled again "Ohh, I missed the show" he grimaced like a little kid "But we both like making holes in ship's walls apparently! We've style!" he was talking about the first hole from where they had entered in the ship. Joker stepped inside and looked around. There were people, but they were hiding, it seemed that their orders had changed, they had to protect their boss instead of attacking them. It was a good sign, maybe it meant that they were the last bunch of henchmen in the ship.
Joker took another freezing gun from one of Victor's henchmen "I know them, I know how they work, oh, they worked for me after all" the room where they were was big and had a square shape, also it had a flight of stairs, Joker went up and at some point started using the freezing gun...then screams and laughs could be heard. This last for a while, Joker's laughs and henchmen's screams, "Hey! You don't want to miss this!" Joker called at some point.
The clown had put his former henchmen in a row on the catwalk. The henchmen's feet were frozen, but then Joker started freezing their heads. After finishing, Joker looked at them for few seconds then took the hammer that he had found in the room while he was dealing with the frozen henchmen here. Joker positioned himself in front of the first henchman in the row and then smashed the hammer against the henchman's frozen head: he did this for the entire row, laughing like a mad man. Then he threw away the hammer and walked away like nothing just happened "So, where do we go next?" Joker asked Victor, throwing the freezing gun back to Freeze's henchman.
