Counting on the fact that Robin might be intimidated enough not to follow her, Selina takes her time getting back up to the rooftop. Not that she's going slow at all.. even at her worst, Catwoman was never really slow. But she felt there was no rush. Even if she was in a rush, it was from Robin.. who was about as threatening as Harley when it really came down to it. Now, if he had the Bat with him, that'd be a different story. Alas, he didn't.
Robin was correct in his assumption that she had nowhere to go but back to the roof and out to the streets. However, this was the environment in which Catwoman thrived. It'd be fair to say that perhaps she had the advantage in the rooftop field, because so much of her schemes revolved around leaping across the city's canopy. True she didn't have nearly the array of gadgets that Batman's apprentice did, but what she lacked in mechanics she made up for in gymnastic and acrobatic skills. Unfortunately for her, Robin was well equipped with those as well.
Over the course of a few moments, Catwoman broke onto the top of the jewelry store with her hands on her hips, and waltzed over to the ledge of the building where Robin was trying to swing himself over the fire escape, and she smirked down at him. A nice try, she thought, but she was almost disappointed in just how different he was from Batman. Really the only adversary she actually enjoyed, and was threatened in being chased by.
Leaning down, she rested a forearm on her knee, propping it up over the ledge of the fire escape and she shook her head. "I told you not to chase me, little man." She said monotonously, more bored than anything else. But just like that, her expression changed as through gritted teeth, she grabbed onto the sides of the railing and kicked rather viciously at the younger man, hoping to hit him and knock him back to the street.

As he made it onto the escape, he heard a voice from above him. He looked up to see Catwoman leaning on the edge of the building. Acting like she was already bored with what was going on. "And you really thought I'd listen to you," Robin replied rather smugly.
He was now up on the escape, when all of a sudden Catwoman came at him. Robin had not been expecting her to attack. He did have quick reflexes, but when it comes to going up against Catwoman, she was just as fast. Robin barely had the chance to try and dodge her foot. He tried to get off and down to the side, but her foot made contact with his left shoulder before he could get out of the way.
The blow was hard enough to send him backwards a bit, but not enough to sending him over the rail. Robin's back slammed into the safety railing of the fire escape of the flight they were on. He cried out in a bit of pain as his back met the metal of the rail. He sunk down a bit and was now propped up against the railing, looking up at Catwoman. Not to mention his shoulder was a bit sore from receiving that kick. But it was nothing compared to the impact his back had taken from the rail.
Robin grabbed onto the rail and started to pull himself back up. He winced in pain a bit as he tied to get up. He hesitated for a second before he was going to attempt anything. Trying to ignore the throbbing pain he felt building below his should blades, he took the chance to charge at Catwoman. Ready to strike with his fist once he got close enough.

Observing the violence with a passive air, the large cat waits. He's certainly not going to be getting anyone's attention while they're fighting, and he'd rather keep out of it anyway. Still, if they're that interested in causing physical harm to eachother, he can see this easily turning into a chase. He has, after all, been in a lot of Gotham alleyways lately so it's not like he hasn't seen humans fight before. What may turn out to be more of a surprise to him is just how good these particular two are at both fighting and getting around.
Considering the situation for a moment, he finally heads over to the fire escape and jumps onto the lowest level before making his way up. He won't go further than one level below the top, intent as he is on keeping out of the way, but at least that brings him closer in case he needs to move around quickly in order to keep up with at least one of them.

Fights with the members of the so-called 'Bat Family' were always interesting for her. She assumed they all clung to the same no-kill policy as Batman, and she didn't particularly enjoy the thought of killing anyone either. The difference was that when it came down to desperation, Catwoman would kill. Of course, this fight wasn't nearly close to being even vaguely desperate. Still, it amused her to see the same sort of fighting style that Batman used on occasion, just through a different person.
As Robin fell back toward the railing, the figure from earlier caught her attention by brushing past in her most peripheral views. A large cat, climbing up the fire escape. Catwoman grinned at the tom, but didn't have the time to go up and pet him or anything just yet. She'd have to deal with the boy first, who was just as stubborn as his mentor it seemed. She did have a passing question cross through her mind though; was the cat really watching them?
A moment later, the sight of Robin pushing himself up caused her grin to fade, and she scowled at the vigilante behind her goggles, readying her whip again by tossing the tail end of it behind, ready to crack it should he try anything else. And, try something else, he did.
The very instant that she her eyes caught motion from Robin, she leaned back a bit in order to get a better angle to the whip, aiming the very frayed ends of it just at him in general, though she did put a bit more into aiming for his arms, that she could see he meant to strike her with if he got close enough. The bullwhip was there for preventing him getting too close.

Robin did not take much notice to the creature moving down below. He was more concentrated on going after Catwoman. He tried to ready himself for if she did try to dodge out. There wasn't much stopping him now that he was charging at Catwoman. For a second he saw her attention was away within the seconds of attacking.
With a quick movement of her hand, Catwoman had her whip hand and ready as well. But before he was going to fully attacking her, he shifted his weight back as he was charging. He would try to catch her off guard. Robin leaned off to the side and grabbed on to the railing with both hands. He was within striking distance as he swung out with both his legs, leading with his right. He pushed off the rail to give him more force. Aware the whip was looming ahead, he had hoped to catch her off guard enough to at least make a hit or to get another chance to strike.

Well, of course the cat is really watching them! Well, sort of. His ears and eyes follow their movements, but his expression is bored look of someone who is waiting and doesn't think that they should have to wait but believes that there's nothing they can do to speed up the process: a totally normal expression for a cat to have. He's not particularly invested in this because as far as he knows thus far either of them have about an equal chance of being able and willing to help him, but he still pays close attention for any early signs that they'll be done soon and, of course, any hint that he needs to move.
Then again, he catches the look that the female casts in his direction - one that he's familiar with. So she likes cats, does she? That's sort of a mixed bag; humans who like cats are more likely than the average to do nice things, but they're also more likely to try and catch him. Still, on average someone who likes cats is better than someone who doesn't, so he starts to favor her to win since he doesn't know the disposition of the male. Not that this cat's good opinion is likely to change anything. His ears flick back when the female pulls out a whip - he hates the sound those things make! - but otherwise he stays in place, sitting after a moment to make himself more comfortable.

Seeing the young 'hero' coming toward her in the manner that he was, Catwoman knew it was better to play the defensive for a moment. She knew better than to judge by his age. Batman had to keep him around for a reason, and she'd seen him take down men twice her size before. On more than one occasion, actually. But his skills had much to do with how agile he was, and if anyone else here was agile, it was definitely Selina.
Her whip did not hit Robin, but instead cracked once more nearby. Pulling the leather weapon back, she leaped out of the way of his attack, and sent the whip flying once more. This time not so much in a manner that would sting, but in one that would wrap around. Perhaps she could choke a little sense into him? Catwoman was no psychopath but on a rare occasion, such as when she had been laying low for months and finally got her paws on something and not one, but two bumbling idiots had to stop her.. well.. she smirked at the thought of choking him almost to death. First though, she'd have to catch him. Or run away. Knowing Catwoman, running away was the best option.

He was almost within contact with Catwoman when the whip cracked and she dodged out of the way quickly. Robin couldn't rightly just stop his action now what she had dodge out. So, thinking quick he allowed himself to follow through now with both legs. When his feet were in contact with the rail, he tucked his upper body closer to his legs so that he could grab the railing. He held on tight as he was now perched on the railing and leaning forward. Robin shifted his weigh back to keep himself from falling off the railing.
Now that he got his balance back, Robin jumped back off the railing so he was now back on the escape. Robin was always thankfully for those years of training as an acrobat. He brought his attention back to Catwoman now that he wasn't about to fall off the fire escape. Before he had gotten himself back together and could figure out his next move, he turned to face Catwoman as she was swinging her whip again. The worse part was that the whip was already coming at him.
Robin didn't really have the chance to dodge the whip. Instead, he reacted by putting up his right arm to protect his head from the blow of the whip. He should have figured she was aiming to wrap it around something. The whip wrapped itself around the lower part of his right arm. Robin thought maybe he could use her weapon against her. So, as it wrapped, he used his right hand and grabbed onto the whip and tried to pull on it, hoping to catch Catwoman off guard enough to removed the whip from her hands.

It was funny to Catwoman how often her most popular foes underestimated her, really. The trick he tried to pull of pulling back on the whip and making her lose grip of it was one used far too often on her by the likes of Batman and others for her to fall for it. The tension on the other end of the whip actually causes the woman to laugh loudly a few times, before yanking back on it herself, knowing that she had it wrapped around his arm.
"Don't be stupid, kid." She called out in a harsh tone of voice, pulling back harder on the whip in order to attempt to pull him back up to the rooftop. Honestly, she expected the boy to have reinforcements called in at any minute, hence her looking around the neighboring rooftops for any sign of the Batman or the other assistant he sometimes called in, who she referred to as 'Bratgirl.' Of the three, she hated Batgirl the most. But Robin was a close second.
Tugging back on the whip, Catwoman began to take a few steps backward, hoping to literally pull Robin up by his wrist via help of the whip. She was beginning to grow bored with distanced combat. Her claws were far more deadly than the whip on most occasions, and she wasn't going home without this necklace.

Robin heard Catwoman laughing at his attempt and her comment on it. He should have known she'd probably face this situation a lot against her other opponents. As he had been pulling on it, he then felt resistance on the other end of the whip. Robin tried to stand his ground as he felt the whip's tension started to build. At first Robin wonder what the heck she was trying to do. It only took a second for him to figure out she was trying to pull him up to the roof. What did she think he was, a fish on a hook?
"She wants to play on the roof then, I'll take the challenge," he said under his breathe. He wasn't just going to be pulled onto the roof by his arm. He did not even want to think what damage to his arm could be caused by a stunt like that either. There was only one other way to get up there.
Robin grabbed the whip with both hands now and used it for support for a second as he ran and jumped onto the railing. The tension of the whip was always getting tighter as Catwoman continued to try and pull him up. Robin kept the tension at his end as he pushed off he railing and used the tension on Catwoman's end of the whip to help swing him a bit. He had enough force from propelling off the railing and using the whip to give him more momentum, he got more air that he expected. Robin kept himself from giving a smirk at the thought of Catwoman losing her balance because of the loss of tension on his end as he was now in the air. He then let go of the whip with his free hand as he flipped in the air to provide an easier landing on the roof of building.
"You wanted to see me," was his response to her trying to pull him onto the building. He stood a good distance away from Catwoman that the whip now had some slack to it. He didn't take his eyes off of her at first. There would only be one reason they were now face to face and that wasn't to get the end of her whip unwrapped from Robin's arm. He started to try and untangle his right arm from the whip, he knew it would be awfully hard to fight if Catwoman had control of the whip around it. He glanced away from Catwoman for only a second to try and get the whip untangled. Man, she really knows how to get some thing caught in her whip, he thought.
At that moment, another thought crossed his mind of how he would really have hated if Batman were to show up at a time like this. The last thing Robin wanted was to be caught off guard like this and have Batman see it for himself. He would never hear the end of it. That was another reason he had left his communicator back at the batcave. He could handle this on his own, it's not like he hadn't before. But with the way things looked right at that point, Catwoman was in control of the situation for the time being.

It's a very real struggle for the observing cat to keep is impatience at a reasonable level. When the length of a fight is one's only concern, then one hopes that the fight is as one-sided as possible for maximum brevity. And this does not appear to be nearly as one-sided as he might have hoped. And even more irritating is when his sensitive ears pick up the male's muttered words; he can hear a mouse walking around in a dumpster, so hearing what people say to themselves is generally a piece of cake. That makes it sound like he might actually being enjoying himself! It's probably a good thing that his collar doesn't work right now...
Once the male extracts himself from the fire escape, the tomcat uses this opportunity to get to the roof now that he can safely do so without risking being in anyone's way. And once there he follows the edge of the roof for a short ways to put himself a comfortable distance away from all the 'action'. Despite his impatience, the cat finds himself wondering more and more exactly who these two people are. Which is a strange thought for him, since he generally doesn't care about humans at all aside from what they might give him. But these ones certainly don't behave like any that he's encountered before.

Generally, Catwoman would prefer long-distance combat to that of hand-to-hand. Though, this was reserved mostly for people who were more of a threat to her than Robin. She had a feeling that if Robin punched her, it'd hurt, but not nearly as much as if it was against Batman. Batman was a strange case. She tried to stay away and close to him at the same time.
For now though, she was mostly focused on getting away, and the whip didn't seem to serve as enough of a warning to keep Batman's little apprentice away from her. Narrowing her eyes behind her goggles, she gave the whip a yank backward and readied her claws for a closer attack, taking careful steps toward him, but also around him.
"Don't you have better things to do? I'm not hurting anyone.." She muttered, sounding annoyed and angry that nothing was as easy as it used to be.

Robin almost got the whip completely untangled from around his arm, when he was caught off guard as she yanked back on the whip. He had been both focused on that for merely a second, as well as lost in a thought. But the force on the whip again brought his attention back as he stumbled forward in surprise. Robin quickly assessed the situation as he was in motion. There was enough slack in the whip that he slid it off his arm quickly before Catwoman could use it against him. He saw Catwoman ready herself for combat.
He regained his footing as he took a chance to use this to come at Catwoman. He knew he would have to definitely be on his toes for a fight against her. Not only was she quick to attack, but she had claws too. Robin knew from past encounters that she seemed to favor always trying to swipe one clawed hand after another. Robin noticed a hint of annoyance in her tone as she spoke this time. He already new she was mad earlier from him crashing in on her little game of crime, but he figured he might be able to throw her off a bit by playing on that note of annoyance.
"Seeing as I had plans but am now running later due to unexpected circumstances, I really don't see any reason why I should be in a hurry anymore," he smirked as he came at her ready to go hand to hand. He was getting a little tired of the cat and mouse game of dodging out and running away.
Robin led with his right hand in a fist, though he figured Catwoman would have enough time to either dodge it of block it. He wasn't going to follow though with the punch, he was merely trying to get her thought of that action first. He was within hitting range as he eased off running at her. He dropped his left shoulder a bit to allow him to have a quick motion for the chance to strike with his left fist right after the right one. So he threw the first punch with his right. And right away gave a swing with his left fist.

If it wasn't blatantly obvious that the cat is specifically watching them fight before, it becomes so now. Because when the dark tabby notes that their maneuvering indicates to him that it's unlikely that one of them is going to bolt off without warning, he crouches down to wait it out - eyes following their movements lazily like someone watching a sport they don't care for. And while perhaps it can be rationalized that a particularly stubborn cat who is dead-set on getting onto the roof might wait on the fire escape for their path to clear, now that he's on the roof where one would think that he has the option of doing whatever he wants the fact that what he wants to do is watch them fight would be rather unusual behavior for nearly any housecat. This is the sort of goings on that most cats would either run or hide from, just to be on the safe side.
But when this particular cat wants something he gets rather stubborn about it, and now that he's got it in his head that seeing if one of these two will solve his problem is a good idea he isn't easily dissuaded. Even if it means that he's going to have to wait for them to resolve whatever it is they're fighting about, regardless of how irritating the process is. Though after a moment the thought does occur to him that it might be possible for him to speed up the process, but it's reluctantly set aside. Neither of them has given him a strong enough impression that they're the more useful one for him to do something as effort-requiring and potentially dangerous as helping them, so it's pointless trying to figure out how to help when it would be difficult to decide who to help.
With these thoughts running through his head, it doesn't occur to him that by behaving in a distinctly uncharacteristic way that he might attract any attention to himself. Most humans pay very little attention to anything he does most of the time no matter what he's doing, and thus far these two have done the same. Of course, most humans don't have to live on a constant state of alert where something as seemingly innocuous as an overly observational cat could turn out to be dangerous because they usually don't have devilishly clever enemies.

Of course, Robin gave her no reason behind why he couldn't just let her go. Even though there were probably many much more important things he could be doing, like saving little old ladies from particularly violent and significantly less intelligent than her street thieves. But, no. Pick on Catwoman. The thought stewed in her head for a moment before it irked her once again, but she wasn't going to sit there and complain about it. Instead, her focus would be on escape.
As the slack from the whip gained in measure and Robin's arm slid free, Catwoman quickly yanked the weapon back and wrapped it in her stylized way around her waist, the end handle of it tucking into place on one side of her hips. She barely had time to do this, as it seemed the little bird had finally figured out that speed was a good thing to have on one's side against this particular cat burglar.
The first punch was blocked effectively, both hands coming up instinctively and forming an 'X' sort of shield against his fists. But her lack of activity had made her sloppy with her method, and the second two punches did land. Painful, but not that bad. He was just a kid in her eyes, after all. Had she been even more cat-like, her eyes would've been slitted by now. Instead however, she let out what sounded like a hiss, and flexed her clawed fingers, making sure none of the claws were loose from the glass-cutting earlier.
Keeping the bag with the necklace in one hand, she struck with the other, slashing viciously at the boy with her claws, her feet carrying her around him in a way, as if she was trying to make a break for it but still put up a fight at the same time.
As for the cat, Selina noticed it only as she attempted her round-about method of attacking Robin, and her expression softened a bit at that of her favored animal. The one that she'd seen earlier, and again later. In fact, not only did her expression soften, but she grinned at the strange tom cat. Domestic cats were curious creatures, but she'd never quite seen a stray so interested in two people before. It was odd, and worried her a bit. For the moment though, Robin was her problem, and hopefully the cat would be clever enough to follow her if she did indeed get away.
