After being forced to stay the past night in the hospital, the second she woke up she insisted on being released. Having collapsed next to Harvey, there was little she remembered after her phone conversation. Despite her doctor’s wishes, the persistent Summer Gleeson had work to go, disregarding her aching, sore body and returning to her flat within a matter of hours. Thankful that her cuts were not deep enough to require stitches, but they informed her she was severely dehydrated. Putting a halt on the coffee, she simply traded it for a bottle of water instead of an IV. Tossing her ruined and ripped coat onto the trash bin, she hurried into the shower so she could get a fresh start. One thing kept racing through her mind: Amusement Mile. Gotham Live still assumed she was stuck in the hospital, though much to their surprise she planned to arrive there within the course of the day’s activities, despite her current condition. Her body still ached, though she ignored the pain and got ready before calling a cab. Equipping herself with all of her necessary gear that she practically couldn’t live without as a reporter, she called a taxi and decided to follow the word that was sloppily scribbled on the outside of the file. It was dangerous, foolish and reckless; though Summer planned to pose as if she was simply a member of Gotham elite intending to buy the property. She wore the proper designer dressings to play the part.
A series of butterflies fluttered endlessly in the pit of her stomach as she approached the abandoned amusement part. Her drive looked at her like she was mad, though gladly accepted the generous tip that she offered him before climbing out of the car. Summer wasn’t sure to expect, or where Harvey’s scribbled note was going to lead her though she had an unextinguished hunch about this place. Holding the voice recorder in her hand, she recorder her observations as she circled the abandoned amusement park. Rumors circle the area, making her anxious about entering. Deciding that observing would be one progressive step and help her decide what to do next, she eyed the area for anything unusual and tightened her white peacoat.

He had been getting his road rash bandaged when his perimeter alarm went off. Curiously, he peeked at the security camera and raised a brow. It was that woman who had been with Bullock earlier. He then frowned once he realized she survived. He watched her carefully as she walked around the outer walls of the carnival grounds.
"Wise little lady we have here fellas."
He was accompanied by a few of his men one a former military medic and was the caretaker of his wounds. The other two were big burly men and they obediently chuckled at his remark. the Joker stood and begun getting dressed in his classic vested suit. He grabbed his cane and twirled it as he sat upon the throne he confiscated and draped his leg over one of the arms. He motioned for one of the men to bring a chair & set it before him along with a few other instructions as he kept intently watching the screens wondering if she was going to set off a booby trap before his men got to her. He giggled as the suspense built.

To think, just a couple hours ago she was exiting the hospital and now she was stepping foot on a creepy old amusement park that has not been in service for years. Now that she thought about it, it seemed to suit the Joker perfectly. Summer wasn’t exactly sure what the quick note scribbled on the top of Harvey’s file really meant, though there had to be something there that many others were just unwilling to discover. Summer was not one of those people, especially after nearly being tragically crushed by several levels of flooring the other day. The redhead paused for a moment, lost in her thoughts. No one at the hospital knew what the outcome of the bat signal disaster was. Summer just hoped that no one had perished in the event as she almost had if she would not have clung to Harvey.
Part of the rusted gate had begun to give away, appearing as a seemingly harmless way to sneak into the park. As she crawled through the opening, she froze almost afraid to take another step. As if the risk of traps were not enough, Summer was nearly positive that a majority of them were sure to be fatal and the last thing she wanted was to step on a landmine that would blow her to smithereens. Summer scaled the edges, pressing her back to the fence until a harsh jolt of electricity struck her. While it was intense and painful, Summer didn’t cry out fearing that she would give her cover away. Then it hit her, someone knew she was already here.
Quickly, she made sure her audio recorder that was cleverly disguised as a ballpoint pen was recording just in case. Summer was faced with a delicate decision: turn back or keep going. The heavy fall of footsteps helped her confirm her choice. Eyes wide, she raced back toward the way she had entered careful to follow the exact same method that had gotten her to the place she was now. Not only was this place covered in booby traps, but it had to of had a security and surveillance system that rivaled any she had ever seen.

The shadows of Moe and Larry emerged from the Tunnel of Terror and began walking in the direction where she was last seen. The benefit of being a goon of the Joker was that they knew where the traps were. Of course he gives them a sincere doubt that he doesn't tell them about all of them especially the instance when Harold triggered one a few years ago. A story that is still shared among the long generations of Joker goons. The Joker watched tapping his cane on her shoe and groaned. His camera had lost her and his muscle wasn't having a good time of it either.
He grabbed the mic impatiently and flipped it on speaking into it his voice echoing over the loud speakers.
"Come out, come out! I promise you won't be harmed. AhAh! You want in here for a reason, and luckily for you, I'm in a good mood."

With two large men chasing her around a dysfunctional amusement park, Summer couldn’t help but panic a little. Hastily, she dove underneath one of the platforms that helped support the broken Ferris wheel. Crawling on her hands and knees, the redhead took a few moments to collect herself, reveling in the newfound safety. How was she going to get out of this death trap? She had to maneuver extra carefully, her heart pounding so loud she could hear it in her ears.
A sinister voice rang throughout the park, confirming her fears instantly.
Summer casually moved her hand, briefly coming in contact with something metal until a resounding ‘SNAP’ brought a scream from the startled redhead’s lips. A large bear trap had slammed shut abruptly at the brief contact, creating a horrible noise and striking fear into the redhead. Using the light from her phone, she realized that there were dozens of them hiding underneath the platform accompanying her. What kind of sick, twisted person thought of such details like this when booby trapping an amusement park? Summer already knew the answer to that question.
Thankfully, the trap she had set off had only managed to scare her and snag the fabric of her coat. That was already too close for comfort and unknowingly had given away her location. Quickly slipping out of her coat and surrendering it to the abnormal bear trap, the redhead was sad to part from her designer coat though was thankful it wasn’t her arm.
As she crawled out from her hiding place, she came face to face with the two men that had been following her throughout the park. Both towered over the young reporter and her mouth fell open in search of an excuse. Their massive frames blocked her path and even if she did maneuver her way around their burly figures it was only a matter of time before she was face to face with another trap. She looked around helplessly as they smirked down at her, “Look, this is a huge mistake. I was actually interested in purchasing the amusement mile, but I can clearly see that it’s being occupied. Um, if you will just point me in the direction of the exit I will be out of your hair at once. Our little secret!” She attempted with a playful wink and a wavering smile.

In the loud speakers he laughed it was one of mockery and potential death s many had heard it to be the last sound ever. Would it be the same for her no one knew, not even the originator of the diabolical chuckle.
Moe smirked at her as Larry came at her with a bag to cover her head. If successful, Moe would go behind her and zip tie her wrists. they would carry her to The Joker and plop her in the chair in front of him she would remain hooded however for the time being.
"Heh Nice try Red, but the boss wants to see you personally."

Summer jumped as the Joker’s signature laughed blared from the speakers and echoed around the abandoned amusement park. It seemed to be coming from everywhere, smothering her with defeat. However, the redhead refused to go down so easily and was unwilling to accept the damsel in distress role that she seemed to play so well.
The redhead was cornered, looking drastically around for a way out of her current situation. Her back was pressed up against the Ferris wheel while the two closed in on her. Should she try to fight back? There was little she knew when it came to self-defense, having only occasionally taken several of the free classes that her gym offered when she managed to show up on time.
Before she could even think, a hood was thrust over her head cueing her useless shouting. Her vision was temporarily stolen from her, and her hands clenched into tiny fists and she pounded her attacker’s full force. Her efforts however, proved useless when her arms were forced behind her back and tightly restrained despite her struggles. “Get off of me you-no!” She squealed as she was thrown over one of the men’s shoulders. Summer kicked and screamed. “Get your hands off of me! Put me down!” They began to move and the redhead continued to squirm, fearless as to whether or not she would fall face first on the pavement is she managed to wiggle away. “Watch your hands!” She scowled, as his large hand rested on her upper thigh, dangerously inching upwards.
“Let me down this instant, this is extremely illegal you know! I will have you locked up for this, you would be surprised how many people I know at the police station!” She shouted, her shouts of protests greatly muffled by the bag masking her pretty face.

They deposited her in the chair and The Joker sat quietly the thugs on both sides of her and the bag stayed on her head until she quietened down. the room was almost unbearably hot she could hear what sounded like fires in full blaze and screams. So many random screams of pain and torture filled her ears. All she could tell was the room was lit by red light and it shown on her face. After a while one of the goons gave her a slight poke on the shoulder.
"You gonna shut up if we take off da bag? If not hear dose screams? Dey gonna be you sweetcakes."
The Joker simply smiled evily at his thug's comment.

Placed unceremoniously into a chair, Summer instantly attempted to stand up only to be shoved back down. “Don’t touch me!” She screamed once more as the man who had carried her into the room kept his hands on both of her shoulders, keeping her forced into the chair. Cries and screams caught Summer’s attention and her head jerked in various different directions as she tried to identify the source of what seemed as a result of pain and agony. Though she attempted to be brave and ignore her fear, it was all a façade at this point. Either way, she wasn’t going to let her weakness show – well, any more than it already was.
Wherever they had taken her, it was extremely hot. She desperately wanted the hood lifted off her head though she was somewhat weary of what she was going to see once the hood was removed. Doing her best to pull away as the other goon poked her, she decided to bite her tongue, despite the amount of insults and swear words she wished to bark at her captors.
Her silence resulted in the bag being lifted from her head. Taking several seconds for her wide eyes to adjust, she tried to hide any expression as she took in her unpleasant surroundings, prepared to come face to face with the man whose story she had been following for years. "Where am I..."

The lights flickered red, white and yellow to simulate the flickering of flame. Before here were dozens and dozens of clown dolls all over the place sitting upon piles and piles of skulls. Many bodies were seen hung by their necks over head. they appeared to be devils. One appeared to be the devil himself. Directly before her he sat in the Devil's throne. A leg crooked over one of the arms and he tapped his shoe and he stared at her with a closed smile saying nothing to her at all. His deep eyes cast in shadow at time a flicker will illuminate them and the wildness within would be seen.
The screams were obviously pipe din recording from the amusement ride itself.

Summer continued to struggle against the large and unyielding zip-tie that tightly restrained her small wrists. Her fingertips were beginning to go a little numb, the hard plastic binding her so tight that it was cutting into her porcelain skin. Her wide eyes surveyed the scene, trying to remain as calm as possible though her stomach was in a bunch of nervous knots. What had she gotten herself into?
The screams were simply a recording, and she felt foolish for not determining that previous. The room was surrounded but what else- but clowns. Summer took in every terrifying detail of the building she had been brought to, knowing that she had been waiting for a moment like this for her entire career – but in a little less threatening of a scenario. Perhaps if she wasn’t restrained and had stumbled upon it alone the situation would be more promising that it was now. Discovering the Joker's lair on her own would have made a very successful story. However, she was still recording the conversation, she just had to hope her device wasn't damaged or discovered in any way - and that she managed to make it out of here in one piece.
Though she appeared collected, fear bubbled up inside her that she was doing everything to successfully smoother. Summer knew that she had to bring herself to look the Joker in the eyes, though she eventually managed to do so. Trying to remain as calm as possible, she looked up to meet his gaze blankly. “You went through all this trouble to see me, here I am."

The Joker simply cocked his head to one side and continued to study her. He knew he had seen her before the destruction of the batsignal but couldn't quite place it yet. He was sure she wasn't a new trainee at the police department. After she spoke he gave a very slow toothy smile.
"Spunky. That could get you killed quickly you know."
His goons laughed smugly behind her at his comment.
"Yeah cut up ina little pieces and fed to th' fish. huhuhuhuh"
The Joker leaned forward in a rage scolding Larry who had just spoken.
"BE QUIET!!! Did I say you cold talk Larry? Do you want to end up like Milton???"
The Joker jestered upwards and not noticed before but one of the hanging figures above was a rotting corpse. Joker looked back down at Summer and smiled again.
"The lady is frightened. She's not showing it but you are. Aren't you? I don't believe your little story. I've sen you before......and not just in passing, and these two lugs are to dense to have more than a ten second memory. So tell me..."
He sat back in his throne once again.
"....what brings you to my humble abode? ahehehheeheh"

“I’m aware,” She said plainly. Summer racked her brain for every story, every file and every recorded detail she had saved in her head in regards to the Joker. It was easy to recall several instances where he appeared to kill for no apparent reason, the explosion of the two buildings and destruction of the bat signal being just the most recent. He showed no remorse of the dozens of officers that had fallen which surely meant he would have no problems disposing of her without a bit of guilt either. Still, she wasn’t going to crack easily. Begging and pleading wasn’t what she did, well not in this type of situation anyway.
Wrinkling her nose at the large man who had carried her to the location’s comment, Summer held her snide comments in knowing that they were not going to get her anywhere at this point. As she went to open her mouth, the Joker’s harsh tone caused her to jump slightly as he scolded his employee. Her eyes followed his gesture, and her eyes grew wide as she saw a dead human dangling above them. A small whimper fell from her lips as she closed her eyes and quickly looked away.
Trying to shake the image out of her head, it took a moment before she was able to look back up to meet the Joker’s gaze. She didn’t want to admit she was afraid, though it would be totally false to say she wasn’t. Summer ignored that part of his question. “We live in the same city. I’m sure it’s not unrealistic that you have seen me before.” That and she was literally informing the city of her personal opinion in regards to his devious acts as a ‘cry for attention’ on her television show. It seemed as though he couldn’t quite put his finger on who she was, leaving her identity currently anonymous. Summer was intent on keeping it that way as long as possible.
“I already told you! My father recently passed and left me with a decent sum of money. I was interested in purchasing the place and I came to check it out until these man-handling oafs grabbed me and dragged me here!” She replied, only to be silenced as her phone began to ring from the inside of her pocket. Her eyes grew wide as she was unable to silence it with her hands restrained. It was the ringtone she customized for studio calls. Her boss really had horrible timing.

He perked up when he heard her phone ring and like a snake quickly slid towards her and snatched it out of her pocket smiling dangerously close to her as he waved it before her face. What excellent timing he could very well at least get her name and even worse now knows who one of her contacts were.
"I'll get that. You seem a little tied up. Heheheheh"
He slinked back to his throne and activated the phone not saying a word but her boss could hear the recording of the screams. Joker decided to put it on speaker and he held it out in front of her giving her a threatening look that easily said "Say too much and see what happens." He stifled a laugh covering his mouth and gestured to her the shush sign then pointed at himself and again the shush and pointed down to the floor then made the throat cut gesture with a stern expression.

“No!” She shouted as she saw the Joker stand up from his chair, quickly approaching her. Summer glared as he removed it from her person, waving it in her face. Thankfully, he had avoided the pen that also occupied her pocket and currently recorded their conversation. Summer began to struggle endlessly, knowing her cover was blown. Her phone was sure to provide him with enough information about her that her identity was just the first dead giveaway.
He slid to accept the call, her boss’s voice instantly sounding from the speaker. “Gleeson, where are you? They said you left the hospital this morning. Your show is in- Summer? Are you screaming?” She struggled for something to say with clear instructions from the Joker to leave her location and her company anonymous. Summer couldn’t help but cringe as he continued to unknowingly provide her captor with more and more information. “Stop! Hal- Hang up the phone now! The screaming isn’t me, I’m okay but I can't talk. I just need you to hang up now!” She demanded.
Fear bubbled up inside her as her nosy employer continued to talk. “Summer, what’s going on? Where the hell are you?” Clearly frustrated that her cover was blown, she looked from her phone to the Joker, then back at her phone. “Please! Hal, just amuse me for a moment. This isn’t a joke! Hang up!” she attempted, hoping that either her absent-minded boss would understand her code or simply hang up before she risked her life any further.
