She was gonna have a word with Mr. Freeze. Not only was this snow and cold ruining her fifty dollar manicure, but it was destroying her product, the dry air sucking her supplies dry and costing her a fortune. What fun are fireworks, if you only get a pshh dud sound? Eddie had told her to buck up and take in the appreciation that at least they weren’t suffering in the heat of humidity, but Eddie always was a sourpuss, especially when he was workin’ on something. She suspects that’s why she hasn’t seen him in almost a month. He had gone longer than that before, so she wasn’t worried.

Ice covered with snow, caused her boot to catch and before she could even stable herself, she was falling with a loud yelp of surprise. Her hat flying off her head into some unknown direction, as she prepared for the hard impact she was about to experience. Normally, she could be consider extremely graceful, especially with her skills in combat….but god damn, she hated the snow. She would take cabs from here on out, she promised herself.

However, just as her face scrunched up to prepare for the pain, large arms caught her weight, and she didn’t hit anything. What a relief, her poor body avoided another ill waited bruise that always seemed to be gracing her skin in one form or another.

Her head turned up to see who happened to be at the right place at the right time, her long strawberry blond locks flowed away from her face as her chin tilted upwards. Her eyes widened for the briefing of seconds, when she caught sight of some handsome hubby holding her up. In only a moment, her eyes shined with a mischievous glint as a playful smirk tugged at her lips.

“Hello handsome, you always catching girls when they fall?” she remarked, still chewing the piece of gum she had started on about an hour ago. “I would compliment your knight in shinin’ armor gimmick, if heroes weren’t so….terribly boring,” she chuckled.

"I try, Miss." Marc intoned, his arms full of a robust blonde, her hair everywhere. It was a pity her hat had gone into the slush and dirt. He had been in the right place at the right spot, just as her heel had slipped on an innocent piece of ice.

It had been like a coreographed dance, her slipping, his lunch and outreach as his arms went to cradle her. His knee had slammed into the ice, slush and debris; stinging.

She had fallen into his arms carefully, his arms straining and flexing to keep her from harm. Lips curved at their edges as his blue eyes did a quick scan for injury. But in his company, that would not occur.

She was full of vigor, this one, as he laughed at her ...joke. Or he thought it was a joke. "I am no knight. Just a casual passerby who has good reflexes." Blue eyes met hers for a moment, holding the gaze before he drifted down, and up again, honed arms tilting to get her upright on her feet once more.

"It would be a shame for you to break a nail, or your fine footwear. Let me help you."

She gave him one of her seductive smirks, wanting to wrap him up in chocolate and lick those muscles. Yum, he was delicious. She would have been content staying in his arms all day like some fancy spa, but as he lifted her up, she replanted her feet to the ground and stood, tapping her long manicure nailed finger on her lips as she looked him over. “You’re definitely not some casual passerby. You’re far too cute and adorbs to be some average smuck,” she chuckled before stepping close to this addictive body.

Her finger ran down his put together tie. “I must thank you for saving my poor nails and footwear,” she whispered against his lips, batting her long eye lashes. “But you’d have to be up for some fun.”

It had been a long long long long time since Dee ever had some serious relationship. She always preferred to have fun then to talk about emotions and sacrifices and other blah pointless things relationships require. This Mr. Handsome looked like he could be some temporary fun. “Handsome, you gotta name? Or should I just keep callin’ you handsome?”

He made sure she was steady on those heels before going to snag her hat. It was soiled. He still offered it back to her. Rising from where he was kneeling he then noted the torn knee of his slacks. Ah well. It was only fabric. Costly fabric but he'd at least kept her from breaking a limb.

"Mmm. I'm not from here. But thank you for the compliment. You're not too bad yourself. Especially in daring shoes like that."

As she came closer and toyed with his clothing he had to raise a brow. She certainly was playful. "Oh? What did you have in mind?" A glint sparked in his eye as she mentioned 'fun.' His arms wrapped around her thick fur and pulled her closer to him.

"You can keep calling me Handsome, beautiful. But my name is Marc, if you prefer. And what sort of fun did you have in mind?" Yes, they were outside. It was cold, his pants were torn, and she was gorgeous. And had a dangerous air. But what better way to start a stint in a new city than with a bit of fun?
