Clark scowled abit at her comment on humans but let it go. It wasn't like she had anything against them as long as she didn't set out to harm humans things would be fine.
His mind started working as Kara described this Grant person. He sounded like a strange little man. "I might have to meet this man one day." he said with a chuckle yet he just couldn't shake the feeling that he had met this man before somewhere....
He smiled at hearing her mention breaking the desk. "Well its nice to hear that you've manage to refrain from doing so."
Clark fluidly moved over to her his cape trailing behind him and he gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "I understand how you feel. But you shouldn't forget about what made you who you are today. He looked away and down at the people below. "If I did then it would be very possible the human race wouldn't be here today." He added looking back at Kara hoping he was managing to make a point.

She felt his hand on her shoulder. Normally she'd shrug it off in a manner of an argument. But she had not been trying to argue over the matter.
Truth was...Clark knew earth better than Kara. He had grown up there. He knew the habits of the humans. They raised him. To Kara this world was centuries behind the time it had been on Krypton.
She couldn't remember everything from Argo when she had left at the time, The Kryptonite she had been trapped in seem to affect her memories slightly. But things came back to her as time went on and she was freed from the meteor.
She looked back up at Clark. He may have thought he understood. But he hadn't lived a life like her. She had grown up on Krypton. Was surrounded by beings like her and then trapped for almost two decades. Stuck within time. And waking up to find herself on earth.
"But that's just it. You grew up as the small town farm boy all your life. You were raise in the way of the earthlings. I've barely been here two years," Kara said.
"If it weren't for the symbol I wear...People would probably see me as a threat to them if I wasn't who I am," Kara commented on how the humans reacted to aliens and new heroes with powers.

Clark looked at Kara and knew that she was still feeling out of place on Earth he let out a sigh through his nose and then let his had slide off her shoulder. "Eventually you will get used to living here. There are somethings you will never get used to but other things you will." He said. There were so many different cultures here on Earth that it was possible that one would never learn everything there is to know about the humans.
"There are some who think I'm a threat but the majority of the population have taken a liking to me... Or are at least tolerating me." He said with a small smile. It was nice to know that he was able to talk to one of his kind in a manner like this instead of just humans. He looked at the Empire State Building and chuckled when he saw tourists taking pictures of them. It was the look on the young children's faces that got him to chuckle. "Do we want to stay here or shall we ditch the paparazzi?" He said good naturedly hoping to cheer his cousin up.

"It's still feels like it's taking for ever," she said.
She looked to Clark. And knew he was right over all this. Clark was usually always right. At this point there wasn't much to argue.
It was all a matter that Kara just didn't feel like she fit in still. The Justice League kept her on call for missions. And she wasn't a Titan. She mainly worked by herself. She didn't mind. But sometime there wasn't as much action in it.
Most villains went for the big names in the cities. And Superman being one of them. So it was no wonder she was feeling left out at times.
At Clark's laughter a bit, Kara listened and then looked over. She gave a slight smile at the kids with their cameras. "Sure, otherwise we will be followed while we stay in New York this morning," she added half jokingly.

Clark looked at her and tried to think of something to say. "I'm sure that someday you will find something or someone on Earth that will make you feel more at home." He looked at her and hoped that he was getting through. He also hoped that that day would come soon for her. It was possible that it would go a long way towards making her feel better. Sure she had Clark and Conner but they were only two beings as opposed to an entire planet.
When Kara replied to his comment about the photographers he smiled. "Maybe we could go look for someone to stop? Or we could get some of you training in." He said seriously
He turned around showing his back to Kara before adding. "Or maybe we could do your race? But we would have to start away from any cities." He said. At the moment he could tell his cousin wasn't entirely happy about her current situation and with her being his cousin he wanted to help her to cheer up or at least help her to start feeling a slight bit better.

"Both sound like a good idea. And I could use a good work out," Kara said in response to his first part after seeing the kids.
She'd love to go after someone. But it seemed rather quiet today besides the minor stuff going on. And it would be nice to actually go and fight. And training would be good for her to work on a few of her powers.
At Clark turning his back to her, she watched him then heard what he said. A smile came to her face as she answered,"You're on."
She took off slowly to get away from the buildings below. Figuring Clark was near and doing the same.
"Do we want to start over the Atlantic of out by the Rockies," Kara asked him.

Superman thought about where would be a good place to start and eventually shrugged. "We could go to the Atlantic. Its closer." He said after a few seconds. It wasn't like it would take them that much longer to reach the Rockies but if he was going to race his cousin he'd rather get started sooner rather then later.
He started to fly up and away from the buildings pulling up beside his cousin. "So where is the finish line?" He asked taking a glace at Kara.

"Always with the closer distance, aren't we Clark," Kara said jokingly.
Was it really that much of an extra distance for them? Maybe a few more seconds flight or less. But still she just was teasing and kidding around more.
As they flew she thought about his question. Taking an easy pace to fly away from the city.
"I would say Everest, but that isn't a fair flight. It's too short a distance," Kara said.
Acting as if she was really giving it some thought.
"I say Big Island. Hawaii," Kara said. "Nothing better than getting a little more sun at the beach of this."
She knew it was a long shot since Clark would want to train with her rather than soak in the sun a little.

"Well you have to keep in mind there is also less for you to use to slow me down." He said after a moments thought.
When she mentioned going to Hawaii he shook his head. "You can go there when we finish your training if you still want to go." He said as he began flying towards the Atlantic. Once they got there he stopped and started to think of a suggestion for a finish line. "How about the Australian Outback? It will lower the risk of us damaging something by mistake." He offered feeling pretty certain that Kara wouldn't like it much and already starting to think of a second suggestion.

"Oh please, going through the Appellation Mountains might either that or I could use the Great Wall of China against you," Kara replied.
She fly along with him as they headed for the open seas. She knew he wouldn't go for the idea.
"And what training do you have in mind. Not like the beach wouldn't be a good place to get some sun at the same time," Kara tried one last time.
But then her idea was shot down at Clark's choice for a finish line. It didn't seem like that much distance. "How about the closest Mayan temple? Or do I not get a say in this one," she asked.
She thought about the route. She really wanted to tear through the mountain range. More of a chance to slow Clark down. She felt she was better at dodging objects out of no where than he was.

He shrugged slightly at her question. "I figured I could just run you through your basics to see if I need to focus on anything." He commented causually as he looked at the water below.
He tried to think of a compromise for their locations. Clark wanted a place to train while lowering the risk to incidentally harming or damaging anyone or anything and she wanted to go to a beach. "How about Easter Island?" He offered. "But due to it being close to us here we can just fly over Eurasia. After all you'll be able to use the Alps and the Great Wall of China to slow me down with." He chuckled at that last comment.

"Don't tell me...you've run through the basic with Superboy as well more than once," she said.
Though she knew it was for her own good to make sure her powers and control of them was all in check. Sure she had used her powers for years. But compared to Krypton, Earth was a new place. New rules on the gravity and difference in how their powers work back home and on earth.
"Easter Island...That's the place with the giant head statues? Guessing we'll still have to be careful not to damage any of those either," Kara said.
She knew where it was and what it was. She had done a study on the Island before. Though may have only been there once. She tended to travel where she was needed or where she wanted to go.
She flew along side of him. "Sure what do we have to lose," Kara said.

"I've even run though them myself more then once. Its become more of a habit for me now." Clark replied with a slight smirk at her question as they reached the Atlantic.
He nodded when she asked about the Island. "Yes the one with the head stones. I figured it was the best compromise between up. We lower the risk of harming someone by mistake and you could get your sun." He said in a casual tone. "Plus afterwards if you still want to go to Hawaii after wards its not that far." He added with a slight chuckle.
He turned to look in the direction of Easter Island he wanted to be ready to go if Kara was still dead set on racing.

"A habit? Uh, funny I thought I might find it more of a routine for you," Kara said.
She knew how Clark could get. A watchful eye. And a caring disposition. That what Superman was like. At least to those that knew him. But most of all he was part of Kara's family. The only family she truly had left.
"Alright," she said as she stopped and flowed now in the air.
Crossing her arms, she looked over at Clark. "But don't think I have forgotten...can we please race now," Kara said.
She looked over at Superman beside her. She knew he knew she like to make a loop rather than a straight shot for the island or any race. More distance.
"You are going to be toast," she said with a smirk.
She was going to go as fast as she could and with looping out a bit from a straight line, it would keep the earth from getting any affect from her speed. And she could hit her obstetrical she like to use on Clark.

Clark looked at Kara out of the corner of his eye letting a very small smiles appear on his face at her comment. Who knows? Maybe it had become a routine for him. But he had good cause to be practicing so much. He didn't want to let his guard down and allow anyone to get hurt when he could possibly have stopped it from happening.
He sighed and looked at Kara "Yes we can race now." He said before suddenly taking off like a rocket he knew his cousin was abit faster then he was so there was no harm in getting a small head start.
