Designed by Cyrus Pinkney and funded by none other than Judge Solomon Wayne (great-grandfather to Bruce Wayne), this monolithic cathedral stands more than 800 feet from the ground. Once intended to be the spiritual center of the city, the Cathedral has since fallen into ruin as the city itself has fallen into corruption and decay. Stone gargoyles and tolling bells watching over Gotham from its towers; designed conceptually to keep evil at bay, the Cathedral easily dwarfs the surrounding buildings of Gotham.

Named after Judge Solomon Wayne (great-grandfather to Bruce Wayne), this courthouse was once a monument to justice. Though largely replaced by a more modern building in central Gotham a few decades ago, it wasn't fully abandoned until after the plans for Arkham City were announced.

Originally known as Kane Chemicals and owned and run by the Kane Family, the factory and company was sold to another owner and was eventually renamed "Ace Chemicals." It eventually became affiliated with underhand dealings and immoral practices, linked with various trafficking of illicit materials. Rumored by some to be the birthplace of The Joker.

Park Row
Originally envisioned as an upscale part area, the decades have not been kind to Park Row. When the city fell into crime, this area fell even further - in fact, it gained the nickname 'Crime Alley'. Located between the Bowery and Amusement Mile, it's a large area that features many run-down apartment buildings, as well as many historic sites like the Solomon Wayne Courthouse, the Monarch Theatre, and the Gotham Cathedral.
