Naomi Crossed her arms giving a stone faced glare face unmoving without even the slightest hint of a twitch.. she wasn't going to be intimidated by Batman no matter how much he tried to sound brooding or intimidating She had seen way worse monsters than him before frankly she could BE a far worse monster than he could be. she wasn't going to back off. Especial considering she thought she might be right.
"No this isn't a joke to me batman. And I'm not joking either. Take a look at the second body. Now the first thing you can see is the downward slashes that very much match the kind of mark left by a a kukri knife, but if you take another closer look, there are also vertical and diagonal slashes. Fine ones. unless you have some insanely steady hands you can't make a cut that clean unless you didn't have to worry about griping a handle. like they were attached to some sort of glove." insanely steady hands you can't make a cut that clean unless you didn't have to worry about griping a handle. like they were attached to some sort of glove."

Oracle was more worried about Batman’s mental state of mind as it seemed like everything was testing him at this point. Like someone was pushing all of his buttons. She only hoped for Tim’s sake that he could keep him under control. He seemed to be doing a good job so far.
The scans from Batman’s cowl came in and the symbols didn’t look familiar to the Hacker, she shook her head as she began a search. It couldn’t have been any of the gangs he was trying to get involved it; they had no reason to kill, and they didn’t have a reason to warn Gregory. It seemed like the message on the wall was once again another mystery. Oracle sighed and kept her investigation going, new information was always good, but for whatever reason it was only causing more stress. Just in case she did a double take on the records of the rooms.
“Bruce, I’ve checked who got the room last night, video surveillance, records, bank statements, and everything. It’s a complete John Doe. I’ve never had that happen to me before. I’m going to check more records and see just who the hell this person is. I can’t find where the girls got in, but I’m going to find that out who he is later, I’ve got your retinal scans coming in right now.”
Oracle turned her wheelchair around and closed her desktop, leaving the room completely empty, then it was suddenly lighting up with a holographic image of the room appeared, in a one to one scale. She wheeled around to seeing exactly what Batman’s cowl was seeing. “My God…” She whispered, at the carnage, as she rolled around looking at the blood, the bodies, and the message. She zoomed in, analyzed, and took apart the room, spreading the hologram across the room.
Here’s what they had to work with; a mystery man who checked into the room, two decapitated girls, a weapon with mysterious religious symbols, a missing cartoonist with no home, no motive, and the police throwing around nonsense about 80’s horror films. It was like finishing a jigsaw puzzle with pieces from other jigsaws thrown in the pile.
“Bruce… I think whoever hid the weapon wanted us to find it. It’s like they were prepared for us.”

The reception that the commissioner received was rather 'odd'. No one really seemed to notice that he arrived. Except maybe Robin. Not even one of his detectives. It seemed like everyone was bickering about who was right, who was wrong. This was a crime scene, not a high school dance. The Commissioner cleared his throat very loudly. "Ahem" He wanted to capture the attention of everyone there. It seemed that time was very valuable. They would need to work together if they would hope to solve this case in time. "Excuse me. Batman, Robin. Detective. I would be very appreciative if one of the three of you briefed me on the situation. That would be great. You know how it is. Forty-eight hours and the trail goes cold. So how about we all work together, Yeah?" He wasn't really sure why he bothered coming down here. Even if it was his job, it looked like everything was handled. Even if those handling it weren't exactly friendly with each other.
This was a gruesome double homicide. The Commissioner was a career cop. This is what he did. Crimes never got solved with excessive amounts of bickering. He couldn't really blame the Dark Knight though. The Detective may have been getting in his way. Leave it to the commissioner to inspire comradery. He would do his best to get every one to work together. Batman and Robin with the detective. The other GCPD officers and the Detective. Everyone needed to trust everyone else. Even if was just for the time being. Hopefully he got their attention this time. He wanted to find out what happened to these two. He was just an old police officer, maybe he wouldn't be of any help. Commissioner Gordon was a cop. He was going to do his job.
He just hoped that the others would help him do it. Because he wanted to help. That in itself, is his job.

Naomi's heart dropped in embarrassment. How much of an idiot could she be here she was bickering with Batman and she didn't even notice her own boss. Enough was enough. Pride aside the crime needed to solve plus whether she liked to admit it or not there was always a chance she could be wrong. Naomi Stiffened into a military salute. "Commisioner Gordan Sir! I was the first one to receive the call. Double homicide. Both appear to be young girls and we have reason to believe they are the daughters of Gregory Shuster. One thing I noticed sir is that the second body appears to have a series of five slash marks on its torso. Kind of like claw marks except cleaner cut. I made the mistake of referencing as a possible Freddy Kruger copycat because they reminded me of a rzor glove."
She then looked over at Batman and let out a huge sigh. "Look. There is the very real possiblity that I'm completely wrong about this and I probably am. I'm used to working these types of case by myself and normally I have a good track record of being right, but when it comes to stuff like this my ego should come second. If you need me to get out of the way so you and..." She wasin't quite sure what to make of Tim " your sparrow?" can do your thing, I'll do so. Otherwise you can lead and I'll follow."
she presented her arm in a truce shake position not really caring whether Batman took it or not.

"Not a bad observation, Detective. I could most definitely see someone watching a few too many slasher films. This being the result. However there are a few inconsistencies." Gordon paused for a moment before walking over to Batman. "It seems we have the murder weapon already." He moved to take the kukri knife from Batman. Afterward he would go towards the remains of the two bodies. "There are a few inconsistencies, to your observation detective. Now I might have came to the same conclusion you did. Years ago when I was still a detective." The commissioner knelt down at the first body. That were now laid out on a mat for the crime lab to take pictures and process evidence. He held the knife down near the first set of lacerations. "Here, see the clean cuts? It wouldn't take a whole lot to see that this knife is consistent with the cuts made here. Very clean extremely precise. Now I don't think you'd need a 'glove' or anything else than a steady hand and a clear mind. Keep in mind this is no cheap knife bought off the internet." The commissioner took a breath before pointing out the symbols on the knife.
"I'm sure you've already seen these symbols Batman. These could very well be prevalent to solving this case. I think some cross referencing the databases would be a good place to start." Gordon then stood up and moved over to where the heads were separated from the neck. "Alright, moving on." The best he could, the Commissioner held the knife to the edge of where the cuts were made. "Now detective. Pay attention, because this is where it gets tricky. Its very hard to see. Although it is still possible. You see here? Where the head and neck, were separated from the rest of the body?" Gordon tried to point out that the seperation from the neck and the rest of the body. Were different than the cuts on the other parts of the body. The ones near the legs and arms. All clean, precise. Patiently and cautiously executed. Like a sacrificial ritual almost. It wouldn't be the first time the Commissioner has seen something like this.
"The conclusion we can make, Detective. Batman and Robin. Is that there was just one knife. No glove. Even if there was another weapon. That isn't here now. This is." Gordon held up the knife. "Its clear as day to see that while there are precise cuts. The ones that took off the arms, the legs. Those cuts are consistent. The very final ones at the neck and the rest of the body? They were rushed. You can see from the jagged marks. Someone was running out of time. Or someone else decided to finish the job." Gordon then stood up, handed the knife back to the Dark Knight and smiled lightly.
"Keep in mind, that those were just words from an old detective. You did good Yakasuma, although it is never a sure thing. What you think might have happened could be completely different from what really happened. Remember that when you're on your other cases. It looks like Batman and Robin have this handled. Maybe we should give them some space, yeah?" The Commissioner said with a smile.
"I'm almost positive that our Dark Knight here already knew everything I just explained. I will let you work, Batman. If you need anything else of me here just say so. Otherwise, you know where to find me."

Naomi wouldn't dhow it, but on the inside she was beating herself in the forehead. Once the commissioner pointed everything out, it was clear that she mad a rookie mistake. what had been with her over the past few weeks. Normal she was so on top of things but lately her heart just did not seem in it. Now she had embarrassed herself for the first time in front of the commissioner, but she appeared to show weakness in front of Batman. And the last thing she felt like she needed to do was give the bat another reason to feed his on ego.
"Understood commissioner. If that will be all I shall take my leave then."
Naomi gave a salute to Gordon and then gave one to batman and then headed to her car. As she went inside she noticed The Tim still looking at her. Now Batman she could say without a doubt she didn't like. Tim on the other hand...he as different. There was something about him that felt more pure more honest a lot less jaded.
She returned his stare with a legitimate smile and proceeded to reach out and Gave him a telepathic message she made sure he could hear.
"Thanks for standing up for me Robin. Just keep an eye on Bats will you? He always seems so...ticked off."
With that, she headed down town. Hopefully Gordan would not fire her.

The ritualistic markings on the handle interested Batman. He was well aware of the presence of cults in Gotham but rarely ever did he run into one. There were a few exceptions, yes but it was mostly the mafia and gangs that killed and left evidence for him to find. The cults performed more careful then this. They did their affairs where they couldn't be disturbed and a hotel room was certainly not that place. How they had gotten past security and everything was beyond him but he certainly wasn't against the idea. Perhaps the cult's warning wasn't to Shuster indeed. Perhaps it was meant for the people who would find the bodies. The message alone was certainly an open one and perhaps a foreshadow of what was to come? Again he would need to dig into this case further back into the cave.
They had barely enough pieces in the puzzle to complete it. Each and every fact was spread so far apart from one another with nothing to fill the gaps with but theories. Someone had checked in with the girls and checked out without them leaving nothing but questions behind. How had they been the first of all people to discover this murder? It couldn't have happened just before they got here. No. The dried blood on the floor and walls spoke otherwise. These corpses had been here for a while and not a single soul had stumbled upon them, not even with the door left unlocked and partially open.
"Agreed, Oracle." He chipped in moments before Jim entered the scene and his attention turned respectfully towards the man. He gave the commissioner a firm nod in greeting and was just about to inform Jim on the situation when the officer butted in and explained it herself. So he just stood - his glance exchanging between the two of them as they talked. He held the kukri out for Jim to take hold of and examine and just eyed it from the distance between them himself. He would definitely need to look into these markings back at the cave. But that was assuming they had previous occupation anywhere in the world. "Oracle, do me a favor. See if you can find anything on cult activity. Especially one that would be able to pull this off." He remarked, turning away from the GCPD to speak.
When he had turned back - it had seemed Gordon had dismissed the young cop, leaving just him, the dynamic duo, and the remaining officers in the room. "Jim." He greeted as he stepped up to face the aging commissioner, holding out an extended hand in greeting. "I'll let your men finish off the crime scene. I think I've got all the evidence I need for the night." He informed the aging commissioner. "Keep in touch." He mused last minute - stepping back into the shadows of the lone hotel room and gesturing for Robin to follow him out, perching out of the window and firing a grapple into the rising day.

Robin stayed quiet as he observed everyone in the room, Tensions were high, and it was obvious on everyone's face. He watched as Commissioner Gordon finally reached them. He listened intently to conversation between the rookie and seasoned detectives.
Tim stared at the commissioner as he went through a detailed explanation of the cuts. He had to hand it to him, the man was skilled. He may not be the world's greatest detective, but he was a damn good one.
Robin. felt bad a little as he watched the rookie detective walk away. She was just trying to help, he knew how she felt. He constantly felt like he was trying to live up to Bruce's other past partners. He watched as she walked away, and when she smiled at him, he responded with a smile too. Robin wasn't like Batman, Robin's point was to be the light. So why not be nice?
Tim squinted as a quick pain entered his head, but it quickly left. Suddenly Naomi's voice echoed into his head.
"Thanks for standing up for me Robin. Just keep an eye on Bats will you? He always seems so...ticked off."
Tom stepped backwards in surprise. What had just happened? He didn't know, but it was a problem for another day. As he looked back at the two men, they were saying their goodbyes. He followed Batman towards the window, nodding at the Commissioner on his way out. He grabbed the grappling gun off of his belt, shot it out the window, and shot out of the room.

Her search was nearly over, nearly any cult following in Gotham had been long gone or so small that a sacrificial killing would mean that the whole cult would end up in jail in only a few arrests. Oracle began to dig back deeper in history for the origin of the blade's markings; it was only then when she found a match. It was a stretch, but it was a match.
"Bruce... Tim... I think I've got something." Oracle announced, in the family comm-link. "The symbols on that knife is an ancient pre-historic symbol, used to assign ranks in society by a tribe of Deer-People. They worshiped deer; hunting them, wearing their hides, and using their bones as weapons. Whoever held this blade was supposed to be a priest which was considered one of the highest honors. Here's the thing..." She took a deep breath
Oracle knew that Bruce knew where this was going, if anyone knew more about Gotham than she did, it was him. She ran her fingers through red strands of hair and closed her eyes. "These... Deer People? Well, they were attacked by a Blood Tribe lead by Vandar Ang... you know... Vandal Savage? They were saved by a man in a cave and they switched their name in honor of their savior. They changed their name into the Miagani Tribe. It means Bat People."
