"Harvey, c'mon!" She hated yelling. She hated yelling when she was in broad daylight. She hated yelling through doors even worse. At least she was in a hallway of an apartment in broad daylight, instead of outside. Still, she felt a fool even having to ask like this. Dent had called, and asked her to come over. But she'd hoped he was at least awake at this time of day. For what reasons he'd wanted her over, she couldn't say. It probably wasn't some sort of mask ordeal, considering daytime, but with Two-face, who knew. He was so divided on some topics, she always had to over, or even doublethink exactly what was going on. Sometimes even then it was a tossup.
And to think she'd even gone through the hoops to wear something he liked. A wrap dress in a deep plum color with those green earrings he'd gotten her years ago. A pair of heeled boots that hinted at her alter-ego. And hair a bit bigger than she'd normally go for, with a curl to it. Even with her leather coat belted around it, there was almost too much that linked her to her after-dark activities, but he'd called, and even before his little 'accident' they had been friends. And there were few people she'd come running for when they asked. So here she was. Acting a fool, and seconds away from just picking the damn lock on his door. And hoping for the best.

He ran his fingers through the dark hair which still grew like mad on the right side of his head, the tips of his finger just barely tracing over the scarred scalp which bordered the previously mentioned hair. The first few moments of consciousness were always difficult for him, a mix of memories and thoughts. Today, however, was a little more difficult than others. He couldn't distinguish the thumping on his apartment door from the thumping in his head, but he found himself composing his thoughts as he sat up and swung his bare legs over the side of his mattress, allowing himself to face the wooden door.
"Harvey, c'mon!"
"Fuck."
He breathed out heavily. Selina. This he remembered. He'd called her. What he didn't remember was where he was. He surveyed his surroundings carefully. It certainly seemed characteristic of him. The left half of the apartment had been trashed completely, a bookcase had been knocked over, a lamp broken and the wallpaper had been tarnished with various hateful slurs, scrawled in red spray paint. Big Bad Harv had done a number on the place. Standing up, the scarred man picked up the grey dress pants from the apartment floor and quickly slid his legs into them, before staggering towards a closed door in the far right of the apartment. Opening it revealed not only the bathroom, but a putrid smell. A far more putrid smell than that usually found in a bathroom. The twisted and mangled body in the tub made sure of that. Gagging, he staggered back. He couldn't let Selina in here. Quickly buttoning up the black dress shirt he wore and tucking it into his pants, he plucked his grey suit jacket off the floor and yanked open the apartment's window. Harvey haphazardly pulled the jacket over his body as he crawled onto the fire escape, frantically making his way down to the street below. He had only been two floors above ground.
"Holy hell!"
He cursed, hopping off the fire escape and running towards the buildings entrance, reaching into the pockets of his pants, he took inventory. His wallet was there, and his coin was there. Thank God. After that, he pulled out three items: A white tie, a set of keys, and a piece of folded paper. The latter two items bewildered him a tad, but he knew there was an explanation. One of the four keys on the ring fit into the door of the building, and gave him access, so that was one item explained. He then tossed the set into a potted plant in the lobby, before making his way up the stairs. He tied the tie around his neck as if it was nothing, a second nature to him, and as he rounded the corner and made it to his floor, he made his way to the final item. The note. He carefully unfolded it and stared at the messy writing before him.
Don't go into the bathroom.
It read. Harvey snorted in disbelief, tossing the note onto the floor. Then, he turned onto the second floor. A mere twenty feet away, he saw Selena Kyle. That perfect body wrapped in a revealing dress. Approaching quickly from behind, he reached a scarred hand into his pocket and pulled out his coin, a quick, quiet flip let him know how he'd play out his entrance. Cool and collected. Strong arms wrapped around her body from behind, pulling her close into a kind embrace, the still classically good-looking side of Harvey Dent touching her left ear ever so gently.
"Long time, no see, Kitty-Cat."

She hoped he hadn't gone on one of his benders, and forgotten he'd called. That was actually how she'd gotten these earrings. He'd stood her up one night at some fancy place in downtown. She'd finally gone ahead and ordered her own meal, the fancy bottle of wine paid for on her card. She'd turned down every single offer to join her, or to pick up her tab with a quiet dignity. Inside? She had seethed, her fingers mimicing claws flexing time and time again. She'd gripped her wineglass hard enough to almost crack it.
Thankfully, she had stopped banging on the door, and yelling, slipping her purse open to pull out her phone and thumb through it. Social media had nothing. She checked the messages on both of her lines, nothing important. Even the instant messanger that was linked to the best of the rogues was silent. She added in a quick 'Anyone seen Harv?" Before she glanced up, thinking she heard something. Probably a neighbor, no doubt. Or some sort of shitty plumbing.
She'd tried to encourge him to move to a nicer unit. Even if it was higher up, even. Or in a different part of the city. But ever the attorney, disfigured or not, he did make a good point. He liked the location. He liked being nearly able to jump out the window-
Arms wrapped around her and she dropped her phone with a thud. A familiar voice purred into her ear, and she of course, reached back to toy with his hair. "You off seeing someone?" She'd purr back, leaning into him, not shocked at all. She could only imagine what he looked like, even with her back to hm.
"Well, look what the cat dragged in, Harv. I've seen you look better, but..." she crinkled her nose ever so slightly. "You smell like you've been up all night. Or playing in dumpsters. Two-face make a bet you were on the losing end of, hm?"
