The fascinated redhead continued to view and ogle the beautiful collaboration before her. So many questions flew through her head as she approached each unique plant, but she didn’t want to seem to annoying as a guest in such an exotic venue. “How long did this take to create?” She asked, twirling to see something that towered over her, one of its slender vines brushing against the top of her head. Smoothing her red waves as she tipped her head backward for a better view, she focused on the ceiling and the plants that soared upwards. “Do you have one that is your absolute favorite?” She asked, “They are just all so beautiful.” The redhead stated again, a sigh following the statement.
Summer didn’t turn her attention away from the plants until Ivy mentioned her possible freedom. The nauseous, twisting pit in her stomach didn’t feel nearly as terrible with the possibility. “Wait, do you really think that might happen? Has he released someone before?” While Ivy’s other comments helped her eliminate the possible suspects, it was still hard to ignore her fate. Despite how much she hated or loathed whoever had assisted in giving her away, it didn’t change what she was faced with. She also wasn’t sure that whatever she could think of as some form of revenge would fill the empty feeling that she had inside. “I didn’t really suspect Crane. When I hacked Oswald’s system I learned quite a bit about their rocky past. And he didn’t even show his face at the poker event and not many seemed too excited when VerMillion showed up."
It was her comments on Edward that caused her to fall silent, her gaze was focused just past the plant that she had been staring at for several moments now. It couldn’t have been Edward…right? Despite how confident Ivy was that it was a possibility, surely he wouldn’t do such a thing to her. “It couldn’t have been Edward.” She stated, though she was beginning to have her doubts. Did he like money more than he liked her? There was an imaginary pain that she couldn’t seem to shake. “He warned me to get out, he wanted me to get out. He wouldn’t have said anything.” She said out loud, mostly to assure herself.
“I know Heather very well, but I only recently met VerMillion during my last visit to the asylum. They didn’t let me visit her often, but when they did I came when I could and I bought her hair dye.” She sighed, though her eyes lit up slightly when she heard Ivy’s dislike of her friend’s partner. “Honestly, I would rather have her back in the asylum than prancing around with Crane.” Summer said with obvious annoyance, but quick to correct herself. “That was selfish of me to say. I want her to be happy, I’m just not fond of him either.”
As Summer began to pull the pieces of the stand from the bag, she was quick to assemble it. Placing the camera and some of its accessories to the side for now, she hurried to get things rolling. It certainly did manage to cheer her up considering some of the truths she was beginning to accept during this visit. “This is amazing! Do you realize how great of an opportunity this is for my show?” She said, the smile only wavering when Ivy mentioned having to kill the camera man. Trying to brush off how lightly she took the idea of death, she simply sent a gracious ‘thank you’ as a reply. “Are you excited?” She followed up quickly, “Everyone in Gotham can see all of the beauty that you’ve created. It will be a nice perspective.”

"I started on it within hours of my escape from the asylum," Poison Ivy answers easily, not at all bothered by how the young lady looks around. All of this is her finest work, her pride and joy - if anything, seeing someone so taken by it is flattering. Of course she knows that nobody can appreciate it all on the same level that she does, but she likes to think that all of her plants have a certain aesthetic beauty that could be appreciated by anyone. When asked if she has a favorite, she's quick to protest, "Oh, no! That's like asking a mother which is her favorite child! They're all so different, each with their best traits. And even those who didn't turn out quite the way I'd hoped still have a certain wabi-sabi to them."
In spite of Summer's moment of optimism about her situation with Oswald, Poison Ivy is quick and blunt about answering both of her questions about his likelihood of actually having pity, "No." Anything is possible, but that doesn't sound like him at all. For Eddie to be the one responsible for tattling on her, on the other hand, sounds precisely like the man. "He warned you? And you didn't listen?" she asks, "Well, then you know it was him for sure! Anyone who doesn't listen to him is 'stupid' and deserves whatever happens to them if they don't." As she explains, her tone indicates that she certainly doesn't believe herself that it's stupid not to listen to Eddie, but she's simply describing the man's mindset. Even she would be cautious about ignoring a warning from Eddie - it's unlikely to stop her, but it would make her be more careful about whatever she was doing.
As Summer comments upon Heather's infatuation with Crane, Poison Ivy can't help but sigh deeply and roll her eyes. "I don't understand it myself - I don't know of anything especially attractive about Crane. He doesn't even have money." And without money, his last hope for even one redeeming quality is gone. "All I know is that the poor dear has it bad - she's more head over heels about him than Harley is about the clown," she says, meaning it. Because while Harley is obsessed to a clearly unhealthy degree about the Joker, at least she's willing to admit to some faults and even claims that they're through from time to time - even though Poison Ivy knows better than to believe her. "There's probably no help for her unless she figures it out for herself," she says with a shake of her head, as that's her assessment of the situation.
While Summer sorts through the camera equipment, Poison Ivy walks over to the one space in the entire lab with nothing on it - the second lab table, and seats herself on top of it, crossing her legs and watching the young lady. She considers her response for a moment before she says, "No, I can't say that I'm especially excited, but I was a high class socialite - a multi-millionaire heiress - before I became a criminal. I'm used to the limelight - it doesn't intimidate or thrill me in the slightest. This garden isn't hidden because I want to hide it from the world, it's hidden because I don't want it taken from me." Or her taken from it, more accurately. Never again!

Summer pursed her lips, almost deciding whether or not she even wanted to continue discussing her possible incarceration. If she played by Cobblepott’s rules, he would have no need to have her locked up – or killed. She wasn’t sure which sounded worse at the moment. However, he hadn’t bothered to contact her since their past meeting. Even though she was technically breaking one of his rules as they spoke about the matter, it wasn’t something that the fellow redhead didn’t already know or could not find out. Still, she knew she had nothing on Poison Ivy. If she was going to escape any type of confinement she needed to start planning now. “How exactly did you do it?” Summer asked, eager to hear the process.
She couldn’t help but smile at her fondness for each and every plant. “I can see how it would be hard to pick, when you put it that way.” The camera equipment was heavy, but she managed to finally construct it while the two continued the conversation. Finally standing up and brushing off her skirt, she began to adjust some of the settings that the device contained. “Are any of them dangerous?” She asked. From the surrounding blossoms they all seemed so full of life and cheerful. She found it hard to imagine any of them were particularly lethal.
Sucking in her cheeks she tried to control her annoyance with the presence of the question. “No, I didn’t listen.” Listening wasn’t exactly one of her strong suits. However, the anger in her voice was misdirected toward the woman as she came to the realization that Ivy could be right. Her hands began to shake as she released her grip from the camera. Teeth gritted, she violently kicked that camera bag that lay on the ground. “That son of a bitch.” She’d been obsessed with his career as a criminal for years, how could she not have seen this coming? Her face was undeniably hot and for a woman who didn’t swear, there seemed to be a good number of choice words at the tip of her tongue now. She had been foolish, caught up in some forbidden love that nearly had her killed. There was no room for denial anymore, but she was half tempted to storm out of the venue in order to seek after some kind of revenge. She wanted him to go through the same torment and torture she had caused him.
Still on her rampage of anger, she paced around in a whirlwind. Of course, talking about Crane didn’t help matters either. It was common knowledge from her stories alone that she wasn’t a fan. “He’s pathetic. Of course the only way he can convince someone to be around him would be to kidnap and drug them to insanity.” There was no hiding the disgust in her voice now. She opened her mouth for a moment to say something more about the matter when she decided against it. Ranting about her dear friends’ choices was not going to make her feel better.
Arms folded across her chest, she had almost forgotten about her new interview opportunity. A horrible feeling continued to linger in the pit of her stomach at her latest realization. Her excitement was clearly diluted but she forced a smile regardless as she returned to the camera and returned to adjusting the settings. It gave her shaky hands an excuse to do something as her mind was wrapped around revenge.

Frowning slightly at the memory that Summer's question prompts, Poison Ivy sighs and replies, "I had a garden here before I was incarcerated, but... well, they needed me. So when I didn't come for them for too long, most of them were dead." There's a great deal of genuine sadness in her expression as she speaks of them, and there's far more that doesn't reach her face, but she forces her thoughts to move along quickly so that she doesn't dwell on it for too long - fortunately for Summer, as she can get quite moody thinking about that sort of thing and the plants in this room are extremely responsive to her moods. "But there were a few survivors, and I was able to extract the DNA of many of them anyway, but that was just the base of it. I'm an expert in botanical genetics, among other things - the best in the world, darling. It's not that difficult for me to simply decide which genes I want, extract them from a few samples, and create a new little baby that's exactly what I want it to be," she explains, suspecting that if she got into much more detail she'd be very quickly speaking over the reporter's head. Not that she doesn't think that Summer is smart, but the young lady doesn't have a doctorate in botany - or any of the hard sciences, for that matter.
Observing as Summer sets up the equipment - something she has no idea how to do herself, as she's not the most tech-savvy person outside of your basic PC and smartphone - she smiles a little at the reporter's question. "Oh yes! Unfortunately, in order to remain inconspicuous here I have a very limited amount of space for my garden - I can only keep so many. So this is a working garden - everyone must pull their own weight. So most of them are extremely dangerous. Deadly, even. Those I don't consider to be essential I find good homes for - though there are more than a few that are perfectly harmless. Sometimes that's because they have some other merit to them, or, I must admit, some simply please me. But keeping me pleased is useful, isn't it?" she rambles, always too happy to discuss her garden at length.
Though there are other things that she's all too happy to discuss in depth, and just how horrible men like Eddie are is another topic that she's found of. Of course, in this case her sympathetic frown is tempered somewhat. While there are men subtle enough that she could see why they would be able to convince a smart woman to believe that he was a nice guy, there's nothing subtle about Eddie. Even without his reputation she'd have him pegged as a womanizer within moments of meeting him, and she finds it difficult not to believe that any woman would have to be an idiot to fall for that. Then again, she also feels that she's been there herself, so she can't help but empathize at least somewhat even though that's a rare emotion for her - not that she ever fell for Eddie, of course, but she was betrayed by a man herself.
Still, she's dispassionate enough about the situation that she's rather quiet as she watches Summer rage about this revelation. Yet her frown is sympathetic, and in a way she feels like it would be a bit of an invasion of privacy to interject her own thoughts too much. The reporter doesn't strike her as being the kind of woman who needs a shoulder to weep on in this situation - instead she's reacting exactly the way that Poison Ivy believes that she ought to - she's angry. Anger is good, and she doesn't want to get in the way of that. Though after a moment, she does comment, "If it makes you feel any better, far better women than you have fallen for far worse than him. Not to excuse the situation, but you have good company." Though anger is good, being embarrassed and ashamed is not - not that Poison Ivy would argue that Summer shouldn't be embarrassed, but she also knows that it just plain isn't that useful of an emotion. It makes you feel that perhaps you shouldn't do something about it all, and of course she's quick to dispute that idea.
Feeling that it's best to not comment further on Crane's little girlfriend - she'd not have much to say except to agree in any case - she instead waits for Summer to settle herself down a bit more and return to the camera before she speaks up again. "Before we begin, perhaps you can answer a question of mine?" she asks, "If you could do anything to Eddie, what would you do?"

Despite the ideas swirling around in her head, she tried to show a genuine concern as Ivy opened up about that generation of her plants that did not make it. She truly considered them loved ones, which was a concept that was bizarre to the young reporter, but she tried to keep an open mind. Of course, she wouldn’t dare say anything at this point that didn’t show some sympathy at the very least. After all, the woman was truly upset and have provided her with such an opportunity. Not to mention, Poison Ivy was the only way she would return to her life outside of the garden. While that was a thought that continued to pulse around in her pretty little head, she didn’t think too deeply into it. While the method of getting here was certainly unorthodox for an interview, she didn’t feel any threat of danger.
“That’s terrible.” She stepped a bit closer, afraid to attempt to touch the woman even in a consoling way. Instead she offered a concerned look which quickly left the beautiful Ivy and strayed across the expanse of greenery. “So you were able to save some, that’s a positive at least. Which ones survived and which ones did you have to reconstruct?” Summer asked, moving toward her camera. It had been set up with the exception of the lens. It obviously wasn’t going to be a live recording and anything could be edited for their purposes. This was the exclusive that she needed after the fiasco with Iceberg. It was enough to play to the curiosities of her audience and was something that had never been done before. She adjusted the lens and turned the device on, though it was not recording. She began to mess with some of the features. “So this will be a bit informal, we’ll just keep it up as a conversation and I can go back in later to edit. We’ll do a bit of an intro piece at the end. I’ll even send you a file of the final product so you can view it before everyone else and request any changes.” She stopped to think for a moment, “Do you…even have an email address?” She felt almost awkward saying it. Once again, this wasn’t her typical interview – but it was shaping up to certainly be one of her favorites.
She listened as Poison Ivy spoke and she explained the habitat that surrounded them. Occasionally Summer would glance in the direction of her plants, some appearing as though they were breathing. “Practically essential based on my experience.” She replied back. “Which of these plants would you consider to be the deadliest of your collection and how so?” Summer proceeded with the next question. “Wait, actually, save that for when we are recording. I’m nearly ready if you are.”
The other side to their conversation was almost like a duel interview. Despite how irritated she was with the new idea that Edward had led to her sudden downfall at Iceberg. She couldn’t even begin to understand the process that might have went through his head. She was angry, practically livid – but she was attempting to distract herself with the garden that surrounded her. Despite the collection of deadly plants, it was surprisingly tranquil. And of course, despite the intention, Poison Ivy’s comment didn’t make her feel much better. “Like who?” She asked, almost suddenly, as if hearing what list Poison Ivy might provide her with would make her feel any better at all. Still, it was a discussion at that and would prevent her from doing something foolish with such a rare mix of emotions fueling her.
“I don’t want to talk about him anymore,” Summer said, almost harshly as he began to mess with the camera once again. But the question to leave Ivy’s lips caused her to pause. She stared past the equipment that she had at her fingertips. “I don’t know.” She replied at first, though she began to really think about it. “The Penguin was going to blow up my studio, childhood home, my flat and everyone inside of them only to make me watch all of it. So I started talking. I told him some things about Edward that I probably shouldn’t have. I thought I was going to have to beg for his forgiveness, for him to understand…but if this really is all his fault. I guess, if I could do anything to him… I would want to repay the favor. But him through the same thing that he forced me through. I want to use him.” Summer said almost sinisterly, leaving a wide-ended answer, mostly because the chaotic collection of thoughts that whirled around her head right now could not be organized. Revenge was something she wanted, especially with this information still fresh. However, impulse would only get her so far. She needed to get facts to back up her assumptions before anything could be done. All while her feelings for the man still lingered and dared to cling on to whatever was left, this was certainly a complex mix of emotions she was not capable of dealing with.

"The trees, mostly," Poison Ivy replies, turning her head to look upward where some of the branches of the trees seem to barely manage to remain contained within the greenhouse, "Some of the drought-resistant plants also made it, but most of my garden expects a lot of water - those are the ones I lost." Which is greatly simplifying things - many plants in her garden also demand a lot of fertilizer, a certain pH level in the soil, humidity, certain temperatures, and other things. Some are picker than others. Which is not a problem, normally - not until Ivy isn't around to make everything exactly how they like it.
But of course that subject is not something she wants to dwell upon too much. But she visibly perks up a bit when Summer begins to talk about how they're doing the interview. Though when asked about an email address, she shakes her head. "No, not since I went all in as a criminal. I usually let Ozzy handle my correspondence. But in this case I doubt that I'd have any requests to make - you are a professional, so I expect it will be done well. And I don't really care how you portray me as long as it isn't lies. And you'll find that I'm a rather open person - I have secrets, but I'm quite good at keeping them to myself," she says with a smile.
When asked about her deadliest plant, she opens her mouth to answer, but then pauses when told to save the answer. "Very well," she replies, sounding amused, "And I'm ready whenever you are, darling." After all she's quite comfortable, and isn't the type to feel any silly last minute worries about her hair and such - she always looks fabulous.
Summer might be quite surprised if she knew just how familiar Poison Ivy is with the many feelings flooding through her right now. That's why she mentioned that Summer isn't the only one to have experienced that sort of thing. It doesn't make the anger at the man go away - but then it shouldn't, as the anger is justified and right to be felt - but it at least it takes some of the edge off that feeling that you must have been so stupid to have that happen to you if you know that you aren't the only one. "We mentioned one already - Miss Glass. She fell for Crane, darling. At least Eddie has a thin veneer that might be mistaken for charm. And Harley fell for the clown. Of course, you might consider her to be a fool for it, but no - the woman has her doctorate, darling - she's not unintelligent. Yet she even keeps crawling right back to him whenever he does something horrible to her - she gets angry, but then she forgives him the moment he asks," she sighs in exasperation, "No, darling - I won't tell you that getting caught up with Eddie wasn't incredibly foolish, but many others have done much worse."
In direct contrast to the other ladies she mentioned, though, at least Summer appears to be feeling how she ought to in this situation: hatred and rage. Of course, Harley also feels hatred and rage, but it lasts for such an unfortunately short amount of time. It's nice to talk to a woman who wants to hurt a man that she actually believes will do it for once. But of course she doesn't want to interfere too much on something that's already so perfect, so she restrains her desire to meddle. Then again, to restrain something doesn't necessarily mean stop it entirely. "I can help you, you know," she quietly tells the enraged reporter. It's true after all - she does happen to possess all the skills an angry woman could ever dream of. Not that she's volunteering the whole set, but perhaps she might make possible things that would be impossible for Summer to do otherwise.

As Poison Ivy began to list off situations similar to her own, Summer had never thought to compare herself to such cases. Swallowing, it was clear by the expression on her face at all of the gears in Summer’s pretty little head were grinding as Ivy continued to speak. However, it did make her feel considerably better to keep in mind that she still had her sanity – or at least she seemed to think so. “You are right. This could be much worse.” She said with nod. “I’m just relieved that our names were not publically associated. We would socialize as an event here and there but everything else was behind closed doors. That was what made it so fun, the scandal of it all. Right now I have managed to keep this fiasco with Cobblepott under wraps. I’m not sure how I could smoother the stories concerning myself and Edward if they were brought to the public’s knowledge.”
She could help her. Something in her head told her that she should dismiss the idea quickly and continue on with the interview, though another very small section of Summer longed to know more. She bit the inside of her cheek, her expression changing very little in any other way. “How so?” The words seemed to fly from her lips before she could catch it, though did little to correct herself once it was out in the open. Was this even what she wanted? Summer wasn’t entirely sure. It all sounded ideal – but also much like a daydream and nothing more. If the suspicions were true and Edward had been the one to rat her out, she would be completely humiliated. Which seemed to be the exact sensation she would want to force upon Edward – if not worse.
-------------------
She was never so quick to jump to conclusions. She wanted the facts like she did for every story. This case wasn’t yet solved, but it was nice to explore her options. The young reporter waited for the woman’s answer before she even dared to turn on the camera. However, she planned on editing the footage regardless and as long as Poison Ivy didn’t stop her, she initiated the session with a careful click. “You look lovely.” The redhead commented almost automatically, though it was certainly true. Summer even found herself starring at the remarkable woman and her near-perfect features. She looked through the lens to insure that her angles were ideal before she stepped away from the device, allowing the stand to do the heavy lifting for the time being.
It was almost heartwarming to hear how fondly Poison Ivy mentioned her plants. Summer honestly couldn’t remember the last time she had been so truly passionate about something other than her career, which at the moment didn’t seem to be nearly as important as some of the recent situations she had placed herself into. With a sympathetic look, she sent a quiet apology in the woman’s direction one more. “Do you blame anyone specifically for the tragic death of those in your garden that did not survive?” Summer asked, her tone still lacking its usual cheery tone, though the question didn’t lack any of the young redhead’s intensity.

"The timeless allure of the bad boy," Poison Ivy says as she nods sympathetically. She might be as immune to it as she is to nearly all other forms of poison, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't understand the feeling. "I hope for you sake it all stays your little secret. Neither Ozzy nor Eddie are worth ruining your reputation for," she comments. And since she's completely ruined her reputation before, she should know - she did it for her ideals. Then again, one could argue that she didn't ruin her reputation so much as change it. True, becoming a rogue means that she's no longer invited to all the best parties, but so many more people pay attention to everything she says now.
Such as when she offers her help. Though her expression remains passive on the surface, inwardly she grins when the young woman asks her for more information. "I have many skills that I could lend to you. It wouldn't be very difficult for me to find out wherever he's hiding himself for example. But of course my forte is in manipulation. I could easily kill him, for example - but that's too easy. The mind of a man is my plaything - I can do whatever I want to it: put it to sleep, distract it, capture its attention, make it forget, make it remember, tell it what to do... Whatever you want, darling," she explains, attempting to give the reporter a rough idea of exactly what she's offering. She doesn't have nearly enough time to explain everything she could do - when it comes down to it there are far too many options.
Now, Poison Ivy is not a very humble person - far from it, actually. And for that reason she's looking forward to this interview - she loves to talk about herself. But this does not make her impatient to get it started - if anything, it makes her even more patient than usual. At the compliment from Summer, she smiles easily and says, "Thank you, darling." Her features are so flawless that she could probably pull off no makeup and bedhead at the same time, but as she was well aware of her own plans for the day of course she took the time to pay some extra attention to her appearance - and the results are stunning to say the least. Her naturally wavy hair has been tamed into smooth ripples that flow like a waterfall from her head and down past her shoulders. The makeup she's wearing is subtle, merely enhancing the already perfect contours of her face. And the white wrap dress she's wearing seems utterly clean and perfect, contrasting nicely with her pale green skin, very beautiful and yet at the same time also strangely casual - though perhaps that's because she's paired it with bare feet.
Because of where she's sitting, on top of the lab table, the backdrop behind her is the lab's cabinetry, full of unmarked bottles of all different colors and kinds, with the occasional potted plant peeking out among them. This is Poison Ivy in her element. And the question given to her causes her to purse her lips before she replies. "Why yes, I do. I blame myself," she responds, frowning for a moment before she explains, "I suppose I could blame Nightwing - he's the one who caught me, after all. Had me locked away so that could not tend to them. And trust me, darling - I am no fan of his. But I am the one who created my precious babies, and I am the one responsible for what happens to them. It's my fault that they were not designed to survive my absence, that they were contained in a place where they would receive no water except by my hands, and that I made enough mistakes to get caught. So the fault was my own - though naturally I've taken steps to avoid a repeat."

Summer sighed with a nod. It was true. There was always something about such characters that made them so desirable. And now, she stood here feeling completely disgusted by that and the compilation of her actions. “I can’t see myself dating for a while.” The redhead admitted, or at least truly caring about the date in question. She tussled her copper curls, as the words retraced through her head. “You and I both.” There was almost a defeated air to her voice, as if there was nothing more that she could do or say in the matter. She simply had to wait there to see who either man might decide to seal her fate. However, there were other options. The vivacious woman before her had made that rather clear with such an offer.
Summer couldn’t even imagine what she might want as a result from Poison Ivy’s help. “Is there a catch? I mean, are you just offering to help me or would you need me to do something for you in return?” She felt almost foolish asking, but she couldn’t spend anymore of her life serving out never-ending obligations. Of course, if such terms were found reasonable she found no issue in meeting them. At the same time, her pleasant meeting with the woman made her feel as though they were on the same side. One of the words stuck out in particular to the young redhead, causing a smile to twitch across her face. “I want just that, I want to make him a plaything. Make him so completely infatuated by me to the point that he would do anything and everything for me.”
As she considered all of the possibilities with Mr. Nigma in such a position as she adjusted the angle of her camera once more. Her question felt bold, though she had no intention to hurt Poison Ivy by discussing the death of her former garden. However, she felt as though her audience might not appreciate the interview from the perspective of such a woman unless Summer could humanize her a bit. The care and love she expressed for each and every plant was that of a mother and child. “Would you be willing to share some of the process you’ve set in place?” As she waited for an answer, she considered her next line of questions.
With a smile in the woman’s direction, she gave her a quick thumbs up to insure her that everything looked great. While it was quite easy to edit and reconstruct the footage that she would need, she didn’t want to create any requirements that she would be able to avoid ahead of time. “Considering your recent escape from incarceration, have you had the time to develop any new species?”

When Summer temporarily swears off dating, Poison Ivy can't help but give an amused laugh. "Do yourself a favor, darling, and swear off men forever. They're nothing but pain and humiliation," she says, shaking her head. Of course, she doesn't expect Summer to actually take that advice - they never do - but, well, she tried. Not very hard, but she doesn't care enough to try hard.
Though, on the other hand, she can't help but laugh when she's asked if there's a catch. "Oh no, darling, no catch and no repayment needed," she replies with an amused smile, "Let me explain a little about my relationship with Eddie. You see, he's an arrogant fool. Smart, perhaps, but so am I. He may be good with his little gadgets and his death traps and his charms, but I'm practically a force of nature. He likes to pretend that he's better than me when I'm a league ahead of him. This is... annoying. Which is why, though perhaps it's a bit childish, humiliating him amuses me. So you don't have to repay me - if anything I should pay you for providing this entertaining opportunity." She laughs again and adds, "And what is he going to do when he finds out that I helped you?" Nothing, that's what. What can he do?
And she doesn't look any less amused by the description Summer gives of what she would like to do. In fact, her eyes light up a bit in a certain eagerness for it. "Oh, that wouldn't be very difficult at all," she replies, "Hmm, it would need to be on the powerful side - a man like him has some willpower, but not more than I can handle. But I need to remember that you're not immune to anything..." Appearing to realize that she's musing out loud, her eyes refocus on Summer and she concludes her line of thought by saying, "Yes, it shouldn't be too difficult. In fact, I think I have everything I would need already prepared - just remind me after the interview and I'll get it ready for you." What Summer is asking her for is pretty much her bread and butter, after all, so it wouldn't require much effort on her part.
The follow up question to her first answer causes her to pause, but then she shrugs slightly. "Well, I can't go into the details, of course - some of the details are a secret because those who aren't especially fond of me might take advantage of the information, but most of them are utterly boring. But, in general, because plants are plants it's not in their nature to run away from their problems. Instead they endure them - they strengthen themselves, gather their resources while they can so that they can survive hardship, and make the most out of what they have available. They evolve into whatever they have to in order to survive. I'm no different," she says, explaining it vaguely.
When asked if she's created any new species, the question causes her to smile and laugh, "You might as well have asked me if I have had the time to breathe, darling. I honestly don't know how many I've created - there's too many of them and it somewhat depends on what you'd consider to be a new species and what is merely a new variety of the same species. The scientists who care about such things haven't settled on an exact definition - I am not one of them. But in any event, I am working in my lab daily as of late. Except when I'm too busy kidnapping adventurous young reporters, of course."

She managed a chuckle herself. It was almost odd to hear the words leave her lips. It appeared as though the thriving socialite had a different date for each event that she attended, and to swear off men even temporarily left her dateless for at least the next few weeks. To say she was disgusted with the gender would have been completely overrated and exaggerated, though she did agree that she needed to take a break regardless of the standards for her social life. “With the recent happenings I’m half convinced to do so.” Summer admitted, though even in the back of her head she knew that this promise was short lived.
Her eyes were glued to the woman as she informed her that there was nothing she would need to do in order to retrieve her services. It seemed a little too good to be true but as long as she could leave with the creation in her hand without a catch – she was content. Still, it was interesting to hear her explain her standing with the infamous Riddler. There was a common misconception about the relationship with the rouges and villains of Gotham, which made it great to hear a bit of backstory directly from the source.
“I will gladly help you with such a task.” Summer agreed, perhaps a bit too eagerly. “Do you think he would make an attempt at you if he makes the correlation? You are not worried?” The young redhead had already counted herself safe in such an arrangement. After all, this creation would make him infatuated with her, little did Summer contemplate that any harm could come from her in such a situation. Once Poison Ivy assured her that her wish for her services was highly doable, an excited giggle strayed from her lips in a very un-Summer-like manner. “Oh this is exciting!” The redhead informed, feeling incredibly devious that she was agreeing to such corrupt situation. “He will have no idea! To think, such a brilliant mind and all he will be able to think about is me.”
Reigning in her excitement, she was practically beaming as she pondered the idea and everything that she could do with it. It was almost hard to focus on her equally exciting opportunity that this abnormal abduction had presented. Still, she focused on her task at hand – getting the most information about this sought-after woman and compiling it into the story that would be her comeback after everything at Iceberg.
“That’s a very powerful statement.” Summer informed, she couldn’t help but giggle as Poison Ivy ended her most recent answer with a nod to her. To think, this had originally began with being unknowingly lured to Poison Ivy’s mysterious garden. With everything that had progressed it was almost comical to think about considering everything currently in the works. “I’m convinced that you could kidnap me at any given moment and it would be much more entertaining than most of my daily tasks.” There was quite a bit of truth to her statement, but she proceeded to her next question. “Is there anything in particular that inspires you when working in your lab and is there any of these recent developments that you would like to share with our viewers?”

"Half? A pity..." Poison Ivy says with a soft sigh and a shake of her head. It's quite clear that Poison Ivy won't truly be satisfied unless Summer's abstinence from men is total, but she's also unwilling to press the issue beyond expressing her disappointment.
It's a common misconception that the rogues are all friends and get along with each other. That is absolutely not the case. Sometimes there will be a temporary team-up, but usually it falls apart quickly. At times there's just as much bickering between them as there is with Batman and the police - and it can get much uglier when neither side has any morals to moderate their behavior. In fact, the help that she's giving Summer is something that Poison Ivy feels to be on the level of nothing more than a prank. Of course, Eddie may very well disagree with her on that, but she's not worried about that at all.
So she shrugs her shoulders at Summers question, completely unconcerned. "He might come after me, he might not. It doesn't matter either way - if he somehow manages to find some way to inconvenience me it will only give me the perfect opportunity to demonstrate how vastly I outmatch him," she says rather lightly, as if simply stating facts. Which is exactly what she's doing, at least in her own opinion. And though she's tempted to say something about how she doesn't think that something so simple and petty is all that exciting, she eventually refrains. If Summer wants to find this exciting, she doesn't need to rain on that parade.
Besides, more of her attention and concern are centered around the interview at the moment. When Summer comments on the strength of her words, she shrugs lightly and says, "It's simply the truth, darling." And it seems to amuse her when Summer goes on to say that being kidnapped is entertaining, though she doesn't comment. Instead she waits for the next question. And when it's been asked, she smiles, "My biggest inspiration is Mother Nature - she's an expert in her craft, after all. Although... she's also quite slow - I can create something in hours that would take her literally ages. And yet in some ways she continues to outdo me - I've never, for example, created a tree that can live over a thousand years, for example. But then, I have no need to do any such thing. But I'm afraid that I couldn't tell you what I have been doing - much of it is probably actually very boring to anyone else. And the rest? Well, it's a surprise. If I told you I'd have to kill you." She smiles after that last statement, but she means her words literally.

“Why so disappointed?” Summer asked quickly, obviously interested in Poison Ivy’s strong dislike for the male gender. It was something she had yet to question considering that she currently felt similar towards men, after all, she planned on using an unfamiliar drug on one in particular who had wronged her. With all emotions aside, she felt it certainly might be an intriguing point to hit now that she had the opportunity for this interview.
Summer couldn’t help but smile at her comment. She seemed fully confident when it came to outmatching the infamous Riddler. “Are there any rouges or masks that you consider in your league? You seem quite confident.” And honestly, with her looks and brains – what was there she really had to be completely self-conscious about?
Easily distracted considering her surroundings, Summer still managed to dedicate her attention to the green-skinned beauty before her. Most journalists would kill for such an experience. Commenting on the poetry that Poison Ivy’s words possessed as she spoke of her inspiring force, the young reporter contemplated the next question before it left her lips. “What do you think about the new additions to Gotham; specifically those of Arkham involvement.”
The reactions from such a question varied, though Summer herself had yet to truly form a solid opinion. For the time being, she prepared to collect any and all information she could.

"Because, darling, men are always more trouble than they're worth," Poison Ivy answers just as quickly, "When they are not being completely idiotic, they're stabbing you in the back, holding you back, or marginalizing you. They are at best a complete waste of your time and energy, and at worst they'll literally be the death of you - no exceptions. Not that I fault any woman for falling to their charms - the best women in the world are guilty of that, including myself - but that is the real tragedy: how much better off would everyone be if that weren't the case?"
She stops there, believing that what she's said is a sufficient answer, but her short rant is so full of energy and passion that it's easy to believe she could continue on that same topic for hours. And she indeed could. The only reason why she doesn't normally is because she thinks the effort is most likely wasted - most women are far too caught up in some romantic notion that there's a man out there who is different even if she hasn't found him yet, or that their man is different. And she knows from experience that you can talk at them all you want, but they won't see the truth if they're not ready to - and most women aren't ready to.
When asked about which rogues are in her league, Poison Ivy looks surprised by the question, and there's a long pause as she mulls it over. "Well, it's hard to say, darling - it really would depend on what you mean in many cases. If you're asking me which of them I'm afraid of, that would be none of them. But it isn't always because I don't believe that they couldn't do anything against me - sometimes it's that I know that they have no reason to fight with me and that's unlikely to change because we don't ever get in each other's way," she finally answers. Of course, she'd decided to give a very diplomatic answer - remembering that she's speaking to a reporter who might decide to report her answer to everyone including the other rogues, she's not about to claim her absolute superiority here and now. That might offend some of them and even if she's certain that she would come out on top in any dispute, the dispute itself would no doubt be very annoying and pointless.
By contrast, she seems to think that the question about Arkham is much easier, not having to think about it for more than an instant before she replies. "I think very little of it - and I mean that literally. None of the rogues, including myself, have ever let such little things as being locked up stop us before. Not for long, anyway. I can't speak for the others, but I cannot be so easily contained. The authorities can up the ante all they like - it will not help them. So why should I bother to think about their latest attempt?" she says with a dismissive wave of her hand.
