Nightwing was starting to get annoyed with the Joker's words. This was going to be a challenge. He needed to find away to get the Joker to become trapped in the warehouse til the alarm could be defused from the chemicals or bombs the Joker had planted around the place.
That was easy enough to know something was going to be set off. And those two were the most common weapon choices by the Joker. The chemicals were every where in the building, considering that was how his other henchmen had fallen victim to them earlier.
He didn't have time to distract the Joker. The Joker was providing that for Nightwing so he could slip away from the police as always.
"Never said I was," Nightwing replied to Joker's comment. He did not break the intensity of his attention.
There wasn't much he could do. He listened to the Joker, and knew he was right. He needed to focus on defusing the device. This was not going to end well if he didn't start soon. There was bound to be a few traps between the device.
Nightwing was not defeated. Though he had to shut off the electricity shock to the escrima sticks. He needed to get to work. Though first thing is first. Nightwing had hacked into the system as he had been hanging around watching the activities of the Joker when he had first gotten there. And while they had been 'chatting' the last few moments, Nightwing had been running an auto program he had set up.
Just then all the doors were on lock down from the security system. There was a light tone and something flashing on a main computer screen within the security system. Nightwing gave a slight smirk.
"That outta keep you busy as well," Nightwing replied. As now the building was on lock down and it would keep the Joker in.

Joker smiled, Nightwing had learned well from the Bat-mentor, although the clown was used to the original so this situation wasn't as much threatening. This time, the clown didn't reply because he really needed to go and not because he was locked up with Nightwing or because the police was about to arrive, no, he needed to go because of what he had drunk...the supposed antidote. That wasn't an antidote, but the clown had to try it anyway.
Joker made a little bow and then threw some kind of gas ball at Nightwing, but the clown didn't even wait to see if something had happened, he just started running. The clown could get out of here and Batman would have even known how, but the Joker had danced with the Bat enough, instead Nightwing was still new...sure not so new because he was like a bad bat-copy, but still.
However, Nightwing seemed more prepared than Joker gave him credit for. Also, the clown didn't care, he had other things to worry about. The Joker ran into the room filled with his toxin and stopped only when he found a door that led outside. He used a few drops of his acid and broke open the door that was old and un-used for a very long time because the factory itself had been forsaken for all this time. Joker opened the door and he could see that first it was raining and second that the police was arriving, their sirens were getting louder.

Nightwing on the other hand had a bigger problem now. His gps location map was showing more dots in range. What this was, was the computer system picking up on near by civilians of police. And it was the police. This was giving him less and less time to defuse this bomb the Joker had set.
At that the words were ended as the Joker made a run for a possible exit. Nightwing had failed that part, but he had part two to deal with. The bombs. And the police were closing in.
That was a little unusual that they were running this quick of a call time. Joker must have know something about their patrolling that night or another call had been made. This was not their lucky day to be on the scene so quickly.
Nightwing traced a strange signal back to one of the old offices. That and the wires from the security tvs Joker had been watching ran back that way. Didn't take much for him to notice this. The main frame was not linked with his computer system.
Incase he needed back up, he might be able to contact Oracle is need be.
Glancing over the computer system he could see a wire running to a set of cargo barrels and of course the Joker would do the old TNT trick with the computer bomb. Only the Joker would laugh over this old school look. Nightwing didn't have time. The sirens were closing in.
There were two part to this bomb. The wires and the computer system that coded the bomb. He needed to decode it and then get to the wires.
He recognized the build of the bombs parts and the models they were. this would help him decode it faster. At this point. Nightwing had his computer running a scan over the codes to access the system. He needed to manual enter the system along with using his wrist device to access the computer systems.
With in seconds, he had that part cracked. Now for the wires. This was too easy. It would be the old style and colors to cut the wires. But this was Joker. There were probably rewired at some point before they were put together for the grand finally.
At this time, Nightwing looked at it and thought out what it could be and looked over the charges it was giving off. Nightwing had to do it now. There were only second left.
It was then that Nightwing cut the yellow wire and the red. As soon as he went and cut the green one, the count down stopped. The bomb was defused. Nightwing got out of there as quick as he could. He send in the call as a false alarm to the police units with the help of a computer wiz.
He need them to get out of the area. Knowing the Joker there was probably a back up somewhere that would go off. Nightwing couldn't hear the sirens any longer. He could only hope the police had been called off.

Batman wouldn't have even bothered defusing the bombs. He knew him too well. Bat-brains would have known that those bombs were just there for show, just there to deceive. But, Nightwing wasn't Batman, was he? The police didn't manage to drive off in time and they stopped suddenly when countless of colourful confetti surrounded the cars, after a loud: ka-boom!
Joker looked at the show laughing out loud. He couldn't even breathe. He kept wiping off tears from his cheeks. He couldn't really stop laughing, not even he wanted to. He was a clown and clown were meant to laugh and such. Besides, the scene in front of him was pretty funny. The second after Nightwing had defused the bomb, the other bombs got activated. The TNT bomb was genuine, confetti would have exploded instead of death though.
However, the other bombs were meant to active the second after the main TNT bomb got defused. Luckily for Nightwing, those were just confetti-bombs too. Oh, it would have ended in a different way if Joker had decided to use real explosive. But, why? This was so much funnier! Look at their faces!! Joker leaned against the wall while confetti poured over him and the police officers, they were covered in those. There were so many confetti and they had been thrown with so much force thanks to the bombs that the confetti managed to cover everything they touched, despite of the rain.
The police officers were trying to clean themselves from the confetti while the clown didn't care and kept laughing, confetti all over his persona. The rain wasn't helping with the confetti situation, in fact the water helped the confetti get stuck on the clothes and hair. The police officers were still confused, sure, they had received a false alarm call so...was this just a prank? A joke? Oh, yes! Clowns made jokes.

Nightwing had headed for an exit the second it was defused, only to find out that another mechanism went off. It was at that point that he a doorway by a back alley way. Then he saw the confetti. The officers that had come for the call were becoming covered in it.
At this point, Nightwing felt embarrassed for calling for such a prank of the Joker. He should have known something like this would happen. He should have re-eveluated the situation, Batman would have.
That nagging voice was going off in his mind. Of course it would. He rushed into a situation, hot headed and too confident. Someone could have been hurt by his actions. And people did die because of them tonight.
Those officers were lucky Joker didn’t have anything threatening out there. Nightwing had to shake off the feeling of Batman looming near by. He wasn’t. And Nightwing screwed up. He’d worry about that later.
Right now. He could still hear the howling laughter of the Joker. He was going to go after him.
Taking to the roof top with his line. He made the leap while the officers payed little mind to him. Confetti was beginning to stick to him as he move through the area. He could catch the laughter of the Joker with his enhanced gadget.

Joker saw Nightwing coming closer and just kept laughing. He couldn't stop. He didn't want to stop. The police officers seemed realizing that something was wrong when they finally noticed someone laughing hysterically and someone else running towards him. However, the officers recognized Nightwing, but still couldn't clearly see the Joker.
Well, after all the clown was covered in confetti from head to toe. His purple clothes were all colourful now and his green hair was a mess. Joker started breathing heavily once he finished laughing and then coughed when some of the confetti ended up in his mouth "Mhhh, tasty" Joker smiled when he swallowed some of the confetti by mistake.
The crazy clown opened his arms wide at Nightwing "Coming for an hug...?" he laughed again, but then coughed again. However, finally, the confetti stopped and the only thing pouring down was the rain. Joker didn't seem happy about that and made a face that kids made when they didn't get what they wanted.
Joker could have made lots of mayhem, but he was actually being nice. That was odd. Batman would have thought that something was wrong with the clown and he would have been right. Joker was excited, but his body was tired and that wasn't a good combination for anybody, not even for Joker the Prince of Crime and everything.
"Good game, Kiddo, sure it hasn't been as much fun as with your Bat-Dad, but I can't pretend much from you" Joker smiled, a tired smile, but the craziness of the smile was still there. The police officers didn't know what to do, especially now that they had finally noticed the insane clown. However, he seemed harmless, but they should have known better because Joker was never harmless.

This irritated Nightwing further, but he'd keep his mind on point. This was the Joker. He had already fouled up facing off the Joker tonight. There were some dead, and now it seemed this had all been a game of the Joker's.
A game was never just a game for the Joker. Nightwing should have known better.
There stood the Joker arms wide open and mocking him. The clown's laughter then ceased and a frown came upon his face. Nightwing kept a close eye on his surrounding as well as the actions of the Joker.
The Joker always had more crew with him some where, despite how they were treated. Joker controlled a large amount of Gotham's crime and traffic. With Joker, you could never be too sure why his mood changed so suddenly.
Nightwing leapt down from the roof tops and into the alley where the Joker now stood. At Joker's word, Nightwing slowly talked toward him. The rain steadily beat upon his back as he walked.
"The games up Joker. This isn't your territory," Nightwing replied as he got closer.

Joker still wanted to play. He got bored pretty easily and he didn't want to get bored, he didn't like boredom. So, the clown's green eyes looked up at the incoming Nightwing "Look at him, all proud of himself" Joker thought and started laughing again. Batman wouldn't have ever come close to him without immobilizing him first, even if he needed to use one of his gadgets to do so. Oh well, better for the clown!
Joker just kept staring at Nightwing until he was close enough then the clown jumped on his own feet, something that he did even though his body was tired. You know, the crazy clown here didn't care about pain. He welcomed it. It was like a fuel. That was why the clown smiled wider when his body started hurting for the sudden movement.
"If we hugged then we should do it properly!" Joker said to justify the fact that he was up and the fact that he opened his arms wide, however it was obvious that it was just an excuse. Joker rose a green brow at Nightwing's territory comment, such Batman of him "Will you talk about your city, now?" the clown tilted his head "C'mon! I'm the best thing that happened to this lazy town! Nothing never happens here! You know...maybe it's better if I go...boredom could kill me" and after saying that, Joker took out something from his sleeve, a red button that he pressed.
Nothing happened. Joker frowned "Must be the rain..." he let out a sigh, shrugging. But suddenly, he threw the button at Nightwing and the button exploded. When it exploded, some acid came out towards Nightwing's face. The clown hoped that the acid would reach the Bat-heir, it would make that face better! Joker started laughing again, he couldn't help it.

Nightwing dodged back at the Joker's attempted to hug. That clown was creepy. Always was and always will be. Nightwing was rather annoyed at this point because of all the trouble the Joker had caused. And now there was a death toll on their hands. Mainly at the cost of Rightwing's image in this city. He could care less about his image, but the fact there were deaths, this showed as failure.
"You don't remember Blockbuster do you," Nightwing responded to the Joker.
Nightwing was known for his chat and banter when it came to crime fighting. He was a lot more chatty than the Batman. Maybe a down fall at times it seemed. Though he was more light hearted then most of the Bat-family. Everyone was so serious.
Nightiwng saw the button the Joker had pulled out. He was ready at any moment. He could never be too sure of the Joker's tricks.
It seemed to have failed at the moment. But then the next minute the device was going off. Nightwing pulled out his grapple line quickly at the time it was going off. And he zip lined up to a fire escape from the substance going out.
At the same time, Nightwing threw a smoke bomb in return.
