Crawling, climbing, clinging. Never in his life had Firefly detested those things so much as now. A swipe of the snake’s dagger across his upper arm. Less heavily armored there, so it cut the fabric, but failed to cleave the flesh just below. Of course, with all the adrenaline pumping through him, Firefly hardly noticed it. He would notice it later when it came time to repair his suit. However, Firefly did notice, and rather quickly that the vigilante had bitten him. Actually bitten him.
Infuriated by this new tact, he instantly dove and swiveled and spiraled and jerked around violently in the air to dislodge the feisty vigilante. But he felt something other than anger as well. Something…that dulled the edge that action put on his senses. This…hero was more of a snake than he’d thought. Firefly swung at the vigilante’s head. Even if she did turn on his arm, it had a metal guard outside of it. She’d break her teeth trying to bite down.
But before he could do much of anything, she slithered around to his back once more. He spun them about in the air viciously, trying to shake her off. Suddenly, something obstructed his vision. He motioned to rip it off almost immediately. The sight that greeted him was a wall. Coming at him rather quickly. He smashed through it as the vigilante kicked him into it from behind, landing and tumbling roughly on the hard stone floor.
Picking himself up while using his flamethrower as something to push off, he managed to stand long enough to shoot backwards away from the vigilante and into the air a few feet. “I was going to let you live…” he rasped darkly. He lifted his flamethrower as he took stock of their surroundings. “Heh…but now you’re going to buurrrrrrrrrrn…”
Using one foot to kick down a stacked crate down at the grounded vigilante, he set it on fire in quick fashion, diving in behind it, unleashing the full might of his flamethrower. If she evaded the crate, he would be there to melt her scaly hide until she was merely a black scorch mark on the concrete.
