It was more than her distint fondness of cats that gave her the name, Catwoman. She moved like a cat, she fought like a cat, and she could run like a cat. Through the back alleys of West Gotham she ran as fast as her legs could carry her, hurling herself over obstacles like garbage and fencing. She passed a few people during her escape, but none who'd try to stop her. Actually, she was more like a celebrity than a criminal to most civilians. One person she'd passed she saw reaching for their camera. Had she not been in such a hurry to get back to her home in the East End, she probably would've stopped for the opportunity.
With the bag of jewels still clutched firmly in her hand, she made significant progress towards home in only a few minutes, but it was a long haul back. The prospect of hitching a ride on top of a cab or truck had crossed her mind, but it'd only bring undue attention to her, and at the moment she was trying to lay as low as she could. It was lucky for her that Batman didn't arrive; or Batgirl for that manner. Actually, she found herself to be a little concerned for the masked vigilante-- for a few seconds, at least.
Her stamina could only last so long though, and it was the change of scenery from skyscrapers to condominiums that she found herself at the borders of South Gotham. Not a great place for a criminal to be in, admittedly. Slowing herself down, Selina crouched down behind a large brick portion of a two-story home, near what looked to be a basement window. Other times she might've had the incentive to break in and see what little trinkets she could gather, but her run-in with Robin was enough attention from the lawful side of Gotham that she felt like dealing with that night.
After a moment, she sat down and lifted her goggles from her eyes, propping herself up against the cover of the home and reaching a hand into the bag of jewels that she was able to procure earlier that night. Smiling to herself, she let out a silent sigh, and tilted her head back in order to rest for just a moment. A moment was all she had, anyway. She couldn't afford to be found in this suburb.

A moment is all a certain tomcat needed to catch up. It would take a true, world-class sprinter to outpace him at top speed. Then again, he's not the type to extend himself more than he has to and allows the female to get far enough ahead that he tracks her movements with his ears and not his eyes. Of course, that's so much the better because the fastest route through the alleyways for him is definitely not the fastest route for her - she's quicker at jumping high objects, whereas he can fit through much smaller spaces.
Fortunately, all of the people he passes see absolutely nothing odd about a cat chasing after Catwoman, though he can only equate how they let him by unimpeded with good luck since he hasn't a clue who this person he's chasing is. Only that she's clever and likes cats - hopefully that's enough.
When he hears her slowing, so does he, all too willing to walk at a more reasonable pace. So he's at a brisk trot when he rounds the last corner and has little trouble spotting her. Not that she isn't well hidden, but she'd have to do better than crouch behind a building to beat his senses. He comes to a stop, panting lightly, well outside of arm's reach. He's still not sure just how much he trusts her yet, only that she's a good prospect. "Mrow?" he seems to ask flatly, not sounding entirely pleased, though he's careful to keep the sound quiet since she seems to be trying to hide.
He's quick to sit - her stamina nearly outlasted his. Probably would have too, if he wasn't so determined to get his collar fixed. But for that little device that makes him better than all other cats and able to order humans around, this is worth it. However, at the moment he's also glad that his long fur nearly hides the thing. One step at a time; establish that she's trustworthy then show her the collar.

Unfortunately, Selina didn't have such fine tuned senses as her feline counterparts. Whereas the tom could let his ears guide her instead of his eyes, she could not. Since she didn't expect the cat to follow her, she didn't look around to see if he was there. It was his flat 'mrow' that grabbed her attention, and rather startled her in a way.
Sitting up again, Selina's green eyes stared at the figure of the cat, knowing that it was a rude behavior for cats to stare them in the eyes. The same with any animal, really. "Well, nice to see you again." She said kindly, and sat the bag of jewels down calmly. She might've been being a bit too careful with him, but some strays, as she figured this one to be, were far more jittery and easily spooked than others.
The fact that he stayed out of her reach brought a grin to the woman's face. "You're a smart little guy, aren't you? Don't worry, I won't hurt you." She said, her tone calm and kind as she held out her hand. Not that he'd really get her scent, but rather the scent of her gloves-- then again, the difference was minimal anyway.
Though she wasn't nervous in the least, she might've seemed it as she looked in all directions, making sure that no concerned civilian could see her and thus, either confront, or report her. For now there was no one, but people had a habit of changing their minds rather quickly, and the Gotham Police weren't the slowest to respond.

While the woman may feel the need not to stare, the cat is obviously of a different opinion. He's watching her with the same care he might give to a particularly large dog at the moment, and when she talks to him he narrows his eyes in what's clearly an unhappy expression. And when she stretches out her hand he scoots a step backwards before sitting again, a clear sign of rejection. Clearly, whatever she's doing she's going the wrong way about it.
Still, he doesn't look nervous about her at all, though an occasional twitch of his ears shows that he's not fully confident in their environment. "Quiet" neighborhoods have a plethora of small noises that could be dangerous, though that he doesn't actually look at anything he's hearing indicates that he's not overly concerned with any noises. But when it comes to the woman he at least considers her to be unlikely the sort that would harm him on purpose - he doesn't look like he's even considering running away. But that's not quite the same as trusting her to do the right thing with his collar; the jury is still out on that one.

During this time that Clark was in the air soaring about looking down. He took his time to come to this part of the Gotham side as he hasn't visited here once. "This side doesn't look like too much crimes had occurred over just as West had." He noticed that normal families would live here just from the structure of the houses. Really in reality, this side was just normal everyday living. Minimal crimes with buildings and streets looking quite decent.
Clark hoped Superboy was back in Metropolis after his little visit on the westside of Gotham. It was nice little team up they had on wrapping up some little time criminals. Nothing they couldn't handle just, so much were outbreaks doing wrong crimes scattered around. It was just a matter of time cleaning them up and putting them behind the slammer. Which brings Superman around here.
Patrolling this part of city. Clark felt that he did his part in west that he should search for more criminals overtime in other area's. He thought since Bruce was busy with something else that he might have to do some of his work for him while he's here. He didn't have to worry about Metropolis with Superboy looking over it. Clark did hope sometime to chat with Bruce but, It would be months til the chance will happen.
As he been flying looking down, Clark noticed that that are some spots that were impossible to see especially with the naked eye at this time of night. At times he would take out criminals during the day or night. Nights are times were criminals come out to play. He thought if to use his X-Ray vision as it was appropriate. He looked throughout the city as he saw something that caught his eye.
The only thing he saw that was you can say, suspicious was a woman that appeared to be crouching down. Within the surrounds, look like a cat was looking at her. He didn't pay attention to the cat as he did with the woman. "She's got to be hiding from someone just being where she's at." She was smart it seems as she was near by houses not buildings. Clark flew in appearing over here looking down as he hovered with his tiptoes touching the ground first.
With him looking without his X-Ray now, he noticed she was leaning up against a garbage dumpster. Clark saw the bag up close and didn't bother looking through as he guess it had to be something stolen to fit in there. With two feet away, Clark spoke to this unknown woman. "If I were you, I would give myself up and the bag."He had his arms folded waiting for her respond as his arms were under his S on his jumpsuit.

The rejection by way of the tomcat didn't have a very lasting effect on Selina. In fact, his apparent attitude made the woman laugh quietly. "Stubborn, huh?" She stated in a regular tone of voice, and gave a nod of her head. "I can understand that. Probably haven't had the best encounters with humans. A handsome thing like you, people'd want to keep cooped up." Having a one-way conversation with the cat seemed to help her calm down a bit anyway, since after her last words she pushed the goggles back down over her eyes, and stretched out her arms.
"I don't know what you're following me for if you don't trust me." Selina's voice seemed minutely sad at this point, since she'd never really had an issue with domestic, feral, or even wild big cats trusting her. It was baffling to say the least, but she didn't blame the cat. Must've been something wrong with her emotions, or something. Cats could sense those sort of things.
Standing back up, Catwoman held the bag containing the jeweled necklace close to her frame and began to peek around the buildings to make sure no one was watching still. Little did she realize that none other than the super boy scout from Metropolis had found her.
With her nose wrinkling in distaste at the 'hero,' her brows also furrowed behind her goggles, and she glared up at him. "What're you doing here?" She asked defensively, looking around, expecting the Bat to be close behind him as well. If she knew Batman; and she did, to some extent, he wouldn't be happy with Superman in his city, stopping the criminals that he was supposed to catch. And to be frank, it irked her too. Were things to calm and dandy in Metropolis that he had nothing better to do than to brown-nose in Gotham?
Laughing quietly at his warning, Catwoman crossed her arms as well and shook her head. "You're not me, and I worked hard for this bag." Staring up at him for a moment, she wondered if she could use some of the typical techniques that got her out of early fights with Batman; a little feminine charm, to be specific. But honestly, she disliked the man enough that even she didn't want to touch him. Instead, she bolted off as quick as she could, using the decorated foliage behind the homes as cover. Outrunning Superman wasn't something most criminals would try, as it would probably be a complete waste of time and energy. But apparently Catwoman was so confident in her stealth and in her speed that she'd at least try it.

The real difference between this cat and any that Catwoman would be familiar with is that his enhanced intelligence has robbed him of his innocence. He knows how to lie and that humans also know how to lie, for example, so he's not nearly as quick to trust his instinct to trust this woman as any other cat would be. He's every bit as suspicious as a human instead, which is simply not natural for a cat. And he's not even slightly moved by the twinge of sadness in her tone - he trusts her enough to stick around her but not to be touched by her, as evidenced by the fact that he's chosen to stick around but keep out of reach. What more does she need? Humans are so moody!
He's a bit quicker than she is to sense that they've been spotted; while she's peeking around, he's looking straight up at a flying human. Or is he a human? Smells funny, in any case, and the cat is quick to determine that he doesn't like him at all, whatever and whoever he is. He's a very young cat and has never really been exposed to any sort of news media, so he has no idea who the flying man in the jumpsuit would be. And he's not automatically impressed either - so the guy can fly, big deal! But the way the female reacts indicates that he's unwanted company, so when she flees he's prepared to follow her. And this time, noting how she's trying to be stealthy, he keeps up with her and tries to be stealthy himself - probably with much more success since there is much less of him to hide - so that she doesn't have an obvious cat trailing her and showing the flying guy which way to go.

Before he could speak his business here being in Gotham instead of Metropolis, She took off with such speed. This gave Superman a slight angry look. Honestly this was more of Batman's department but, As long Superman was around it didn't hurt none to help out the city. It was it duty to stand any threat any that oppose the law. He didn't know what Batman's views was about her but for him, the only thing that she was a criminal at least in his eyes despite if she had some good deeds.
Superman took his time to look ahead at the houses scattered ahead where she took off. He knew he was gonna have some difficultly tracking her within this area. As it was new yet, She knows this place like the back of her hand. His X ray would help as it did found her in the first place. He couldn't rely on it every time. It would take a toll on his body and especially eyes if he kept on.
Superman got to thinking before he would act. "I could run looking around for her unless she's hiding until I lose her get ambushed. Or, I can take high like earlier and look down in bird's view." Really he had two choices to choose from. He decided he would stay on ground that he already is. If she had other allies with her it would be hard making his pick on being in air. Besides, how hard would it be to catch a woman?
Superman noticed that cat he saw earlier disappeared as Catwoman left. This gave him the thought somehow they're both connected. After all, she loves cat's to death and it was a dead on hit cause of her name too. To summarize everything up now, She had done a robbery with the possible help of that cat. He should of pay more attention to the cat instead of just glimpsing over him before. Within all that, Superman started to pursuit Catwoman and her little feline through as he began to notice it was getting darker within the night adding advantage to them both and disadvantage to himself.

Selina hardly even noticed that the cat had decided to follow her yet again, but even if she had paid more attention to him, she wouldn't mind. It wasn't like she couldn't do with the company. The distance to her home on Gotham's east side was still far off, and she wouldn't likely be making it back on foot for a while. With the so called 'Superman' on her tail now, she'd surely have even more of a difficult time making it back.
After a moment's worth of running, Catwoman glared down at the bag filled to the brim with that lovely necklace that she'd stolen, and began to regret taking it in the first place. Not for any moral reason, since she didn't have much of a problem stealing expensive items from very rich people. The money she would get from the one item would rake in a fortune, and she would see only a little bit of it. The rest would go to a few needy contacts in her home borough, who needed it a lot more than the fat cats who sold it in the first place.
There wasn't much for her to do except run at this point. The homes were the only source of cover, and hunkering down in plain sight of the average citizen at this time of night probably wasn't the smartest idea. With trees and bushes running out, she wouldn't have much cover, either. Picking up her pace, Catwoman was at nearly a sprint. Luckily for her, she did have a great amount of endurance. Even she couldn't sprint forever, though.
It was only by force of habit that she happened to look down and see the large tom still following her around. She didn't speak to him at all though, this time. Simply acknowledged he was there, and smiled a little to herself.

After awhile of following the female, the cat once again started to breathe hard through his mouth. Endurance just isn't his thing, but he has a ways to go yet before he'd have to call it quits on the running - he's feeling rather stubborn tonight, after all. But most of his focus is on keeping his every sound and movement a bit more subtle than hers, which is only somewhat difficult. Normally humans bumble around so clumsily that he wouldn't have to be trying at all, but he has to admit that this one knows something about stealth.
Enough to escape from that odd-smelling flying guy? He has no idea, but if she gets caught he's going to be sure that it's because of something she did and not because of anything he did. Being at fault for her getting caught when she clearly did not wish to be would most definitely make it awkward to be expecting any favors, even if he did help her escape from that other guy. Though he does give a questioning tilt of his head when he sees the female glance at him.

Superman been chasing after her for minutes now. He would thought within time he would catch her and put her behind bars. It seems she was too fast. He was surprised. She keep her mind on it and she achieved it. Nothing like a saying would if you did put your mind to anything, that you can do it. As he was running fast himself, he couldn't see her. Even her little friend who green eyes glowed earlier.
If that was was black, she was as well and could shade easily now through the day. Another thing was that, He was easily getting lost here. He knew she was out of sight by now. The other superhero's would track her like nothing through here. But not him. At times, he would stopped and looked around dark area's that he would thought he would find her but, he know now that she wasn't hiding.
Superman's face shown a firmed look as he was turning his head in all corners. Knowing asking people around won't do good as a human eye couldn't see too bright in the night. He knew he would need some light to help him out. He couldn't let her escape like that. Taking flight at this time wouldn't do too much. He could feel that she had distance herself quite well from where he was now.
Superman wasn't gonna give up so easily just yet. If Batman can catch he her, he could do even if it wasn't his home city. He contiuned his running trying his luck more on getting up to her. One thing he could say, she was fast as a cat that is for sure. He only wished that Batman would have taken care of her earlier than what he is dealing with now.

Even Catwoman could only run for so long. Unlike their heroic pursuer, neither the cat nor Selina could hover over the ground, hardly exerting any energy at all. What he was doing in Gotham still baffled her, and considering how much of a one-man show Batman tried to be most of the time, she didn't figure him to be a welcome guest. Regardless, he was chasing her and she wanted to end that.
With the cat still trailing behind her, she had an idea to get the superhero off her trail, but it'd require stopping for a minute. So, that was just what she did. Slowed, then came to a silent stop, and crouched down behind the cover of another few bushes. Waiting for the cat to come up by her side, she remained quiet and kept her eyes on the bright blue and red-clad dude overhead.
"I think I'm going to need your help.." She muttered, sure that the cat wouldn't really understand her since.. well, it was a cat, and no matter how much she loved the creatures, she was aware that they simply didn't have the cognitive abilities to understand language. Of course, she wasn't aware just the extent of this particular cat's cognitive abilities.
Pointing out in the direction that they were just running away from, she looked at the cat and motioned her head that way as well. "Go on." She whispered, and smiled again. "Lose him for us."

When the female slows, the cat gratefully slows down with her. Running is for dogs and humans, not cats. At least in his opinion anyway. But his break is cut short when she suddenly starts talking. To him, even. Instead of at him. He listens intently to the words, but for a moment the narrowing of his eyes makes it appear that he does not like what he's hearing. Hey, he's tired too, lady!
But the logic of the situation kicks in quickly - he's much more evasive than she is, if only because he's about ten times smaller. Perhaps asking him is a sign that she respects his superior abilities as a cat over her own limited emulation? He does have a much better chance of losing the odd-smelling flying male. Like a hawk, that guy - he hates hawks! "Mah," he meows in quiet agreement, turning in the direction that she indicated. But before he goes he flings his tail in front of her as if to cut her off, and gives her a hard stare for a second.
And then he crouches low and with both speed and stealth he heads in that direction until he's a few houses away. There he very noisily climbs the fence, locates the blue guy and yowls, "Meow!" Rather than hiding, he now wants attention. Demands it, even. He even flicks his thick tail around a bit in cause the guy doesn't hear him and needs a visual aid.

As for catching Catwoman... well, he could have done a long time ago. But watching Superman flub about in territory that wasn't his own was far more amusing. That, and making Catwoman sweat a bit is always a good thing. But, it seems, now it's time for the whole little chase to end.
Batman pushes himself out from the edge of the building towering over the trio. His pitch-black, pointed cowl sticks up into the air above his caped figure; slowly, The Batman stands up to let himself get caught in an errand beam of moonlight. "This is a bit out of your normal zone, isn't it?" a deep, gravelly voice calls out from the Caped Crusader's darkened form.
His eyes turn to Superman for just a moment. He's waiting for a response. After all, it's Superman; Superman loves the spotlight. And he really loves talking about himself.
Batman then turns his eyes back towards Catwoman, and, without even asking a question, seems to expect a response from her as well. No, his question is rather clear: what, exactly, is she doing here with a bag of valuables, and, perhaps more importantly, how in the world did she get caught by someone like Superman?

Superman was currently having no luck on finding or catching Catwoman. He wasn't breaking a sweat and she was too tricky for him. Superman gritted his teeth in distress cautiously. He wasn't showing no emotions as he kept his cool always. Lights during this time would throw him off at times when he thought she could be hiding near.
She it was like she was one step ahead of him in this mess. He narrowed his eyes a bit glazing far to see if she would be up ahead instead of being hidden near close. He was using different methods to find her as he wasn't having the best luck. He stopped in his tracks and closed his eyes to have sometime to think as well talk. "If I was Catwoman were would I be?" His only clue was dumpsters as she was by one earlier. He knows that stray cats are by there alot searching for food.
It was like that with cats in Metropolis. He opened his eyes and focused on looking for dumpsters in certain areas. Within the smallest noise from above, Superman turned as whatever it was grabbed his attention. It was a dark shadow looking figure. This gave Superman to be tensed as he gripped up his fists for a fist fight that would be dirty. He thought it was another villain that came along or for Catwoman's aid.
As his right foot turned in his view, his cape and hair swayed with the air as it was light getting caught in the breeze. Once he got a good look, Superman started to make out the outline of the figure. He looked familiar as it was close to one person. Once he heard the voice he finally knew who he was seeing. "Batman nice to see you and out of my normal zone? Maybe just a little." He said with a little smile emit from his mouth as he did a pinch gesture with his fingers before folding his arms. Superman was pleased to see Batman as it been awhile since they last talk to each other or even team up.
He thought they would have quite bit of chatting to do but, seeing that Catwoman is near that now wasn't the time. Considering that Batman was a good friend of his. "Where have you been while I been here catching Catwoman?" He asked. He would be here seeing this through the end but, he had a feeling that Batman was gonna start taking over this as in charge. Superman would argue about this since she was a criminal and was already on her lead but, it was his city, his rules.
With his attention on Batman waiting for his move and stand on about. Superman heard another noise but this time, it sounded by a fence with a meow following up. He rushed towards it running as he spots the black cat with a tail moving. It looked like a shadow on a black background with the cat's colored fur blending. Superman looked down at the Cat as he looked and didn't see Catwoman in sight. He hoped that the cat can talk even though that sounded silly for him to think of.He walked back to Batman location looking up at him once more. "I lost her. Got any idea's?" He said as he stand patiently.
