Arkham Asylum was no place for children, but Mary was no child. She was troubled, yes very troubled. She had been sent to Arkham after her insane, Suicidal attemps to not only kill herself because she was hurting on the inside, but also because she believed the world owed her an apology for treating her so poorly.
Dressed in a grey Arkham Inmate uniform, Mary sat on a small plastic child's chair in the Rec Room. She wasn't so terribly upset about having to use child fitted furniture, being carried or picked up by one of Arkham's nurses or even having to ask everyone else around her to help her reach things, read things posted to high for her to see or even the fact some of the inmates and staff keep asking her to say her once famous pphrase from her former show .
No.
Is was the fact that she wasn't taken serious as a person, Mary looked like an adorable 7 year old child, blonde curly hair, bright baby blue eyes and sweet as sugar voice. Mary wanted to be respected and treated like the adult she was, not a child as she appeared to be. Even in the Recreation Room where respect was given or else a person would see themselves in solitary or worse, Mary was treated like a child. The watching guards must have been new to Arkham, they called her "Sweetie" and talked to her in a rather annoying sweet voice. She had been given a ' special' area just for herself in the Rec room, an area set up to be more like a child's play area, she loathed it.
As her eyes watched one of the guards walk off to patrol, She stepped over the dotted line on the floor and walked over to where the other inmates were, she was going to have her way or god help those who got in her way.
