He drinks his drink, and then smiles as he nods to Aria's statement "I think you bring up some very good points, and I agree entirely. The law as it stands is far too uncertain with the regards of the rise of the metapowers. I just hope that instead of applying a common law antecedent to something without antecedent, we are able to come up with comprehensive solutions to a very specific situation."
He puts the glass back down and then says "But, I think you underestimate the potential of this endeavor. While it's currently a pilot project for development in one city. . . LexCorp is global and we seek to engage in similar projects in a number of other locations. Really, can't everyone profit in the end by building a better world?"

As the two political pundits started a deeper discussion that she wanted to indulge in, she smiled, quietly draining her glass as both Lex and Aria got along famously. Her earpiece chimed a quiet message to her, and she gently placed a hand on Lex, and Aria's forearms.
"Please excuse me, but I must go attend a few other arrangements. But please, Aria, take up as much time of Lex's if you can, before your other prior engagements must take you away from us. And do ask him about both the performers, and the holographs!" With an air kiss to each cheek, and then a smile to Luthor, Selina is then walking to the elevator to attend other matters. Then again, politics isn't quite her bag.

Smiling and doing her best to avoid laughing too hard, Aria comments, "I certainly wouldn't say that there is no antecedent for the issues that we're dealing with. In fact as I see it the main issue that needs to be resolved is the question of which antecedent applies - in some cases, for example, I think that the best antecedent laws are those that were largely discarded as being out of date for modern times but actually address much of what we're dealing with quite well with a little expansion and clarification.
"And I hardly mean to make it sound as if I'm devaluing what you're doing here. Perhaps your efforts to build a better world will ultimately prove more potent than mine in the long run - especially if it serves to inspire others to follow suit. The only boast I can make about mine is that mine are poised to make an impact on more people sooner than yours - you've yet to prove that you can repeat for Gotham what you've done for Metropolis, let alone anywhere else. Not that I have any doubts in your success, but you have a much longer road ahead of you than I do," she adds with a deferential nod.
Having said all that, she looks somewhat surprised when Selina speaks up, not having realized just how deeply into the discussion she's gotten with Lex. Unfortunately for Selina, she and Lex go way back (further back than he believes, actually), so it's quite easy for them to slip into deeper conversations. Though she looks just a little bit embarrassed to have gone into it with him while Selina was present and not quite interested. Still, Selina isn't the only one who has a lot of things to do this evening and her words are an excellent reminder that time is short. "Well, I again thank you again for inviting me to come and see! I'm sure that the entire event will go off splendidly!" she says as she returns the farewell.
As soon as Selina has turned away, Aria doesn't miss a beat in turning back to Lex and asking, "So what's this I hear about performers and holographs?" But having asked that she's also quick to make a slight show of glancing at her watch and adding, "And will it take very long? I do need to rush out soon..."
