Sometimes the tone, of flavor that words are touched with say much more than the words could. So Selina doesn't bother to bring up the time that had passed, because clearly, it's not the time to delve into it. Nor the place. But when the woman teases her slightly, Selina blushes slight, and nods. "Rumors are rumors, and there should be a statement out sooner or later, you know. But...we're hashing out the formalities, and it's..rather new...territory." Not good, not bad, but just new. "And it's a place that is not without it's ups, and downs." Shrugging, her mind goes to think of the man she has come to know, closer in the few months since she has seen 'Hawkgirl.'
And she agrees with Shayera on the military training. From those she has known that have it, they are gifted. Highly. Mostly due to their training, and extrapoliating on those tactics they learned, but still. There is an edge and a clarity that few others have. And a directness, which resounds quite solidly with the woman seated with her.
"Ah. Now things are coming together a bit better. And I will still stand on my description of 'gifted.' Most of those that I know had training such as that, no matter what the military branch, tend to excel beyond their peers. Projects. Well that is something else. I'd be approaching you freelance, and it would be legitimate work. Reverse-engineering, much as you did with my company's firewalls and securities, and other errata pertaining to computers. My other work, I handle myself, and usually don't bring in contractor's for. But I don't know if you're aware, but I am the lead in the Metropham revamp here in Gotham. All via Black Cat Securities. But I will be outsourcing for some materials to two other companies I do trust, that have applications in areas other than security, but more security systems, and applications." Licking her lips, she reaches to remove an olive from the tray on a table.
"So, in fewer words, I've gone more legit, and have turned to helping our common friend, instead of baiting him. But as for the removal of things, it's more..information, and the gaining of it. Which still utilzes my skillset, but for a different purpose." Not to say she doesn't outright steal, but there is a different motive behind it. She's more a spy at this point, gaining intelligene for Bruce, when necessary, and doing this Metropham revamp for Lex. Which while doesn't supply the rush stealing once had, she still has dual reputations to uphold.

At the way that Selina vaguely describes how things are going with Batman, Shayera can't help but give an amused laugh. "I can imagine..." is all she says, her tone rather knowing. She's a keen observer of more than just chins, after all, and while she can't claim to be an expert on Batman by any means she's worked with him enough times in the past to know how he is and guess at just how many ups and downs this new territory is. Especially given this woman's background and just how strict Batman is.
Though as Selina explains more, it becomes easier for Shayera to picture it. If the woman has 'gone more legit', then she can see how that would help smooth things. Then again, at least in Shayera's estimation it sounds like Selina is still very much continuing to break the law. Then again, its more in ways that Batman would, so that's more palatable. Still, she's never agreed even with Batman that it's better in the long run for someone trying to fight crime to commit crime in the process - they'll have to agree to disagree on that one.
But she reminds herself that she's an alien here, and it's not her place to tell humans what to do with themselves. So she'll let them sort those questions out while she focuses her attention on stopping crimes that hurt the innocent. So she nods slowly during Selina's explanation. "Well, that sounds reasonable enough. And yes, I heard about the Metropham thing," she says, pausing before she adds, "I don't think it will work." Another pause before she adds, "If you ask me, the only way to get the type of results you'd really want, would be to literally tear down both facilities and start from scratch." Or at least, that's her own interpretation of the situation. And she's content to simply share it - again, it's not her place to sincerely state what should be changed around here.

She shrugged, offering a hand in submission to the laugh. Shayera at least understood how he functioned, if it was a bit brutal at times.
As she is nursing her drink, casually moving to the bottle of cranberry juice and vodka on ice on the table before them to refresh it, she pauses. Tear the whole thing down? Well, now that is an idea.
"We could raze the whole thing, but where would all the inmates go in the meantime? I can't bet if the whole thing will work, or not, but I'm honestly going to try to make it plausible. You know just as well, if not better than myself, what sort of havoc is being wrecked on Gotham. And while, yes, I know some of them better than others, something has to happen."
She's partially disgusted at how vague she is being forced to be, but Shayera is offering quite the viewpoint. "And this is one of the reasons why I'd like to hire you. You can take, or decline jobs as you wish. But hell, I'll pay you for this meeting, even." It would be billed to Lex, and itemized, of course, but that's an afterthought.
"Only one facility could be razed at a time, the whole thing rebuilt, re-wired, all of it. And then the displacement issues. But while it's being rebuilt, the old staff could be trained, or even re-evaluated and replaced. Hm. I would need an architect. And speak to Doctor Arkham."

At the question, Shayera's wings lift slightly - a shrug but using a different set of limbs to make the gesture. "I don't know how to figure out all the logistics, but it does occur to me that the criminals here know their way around both facilities. And from what I understand, at least a part of both facilities predate the appearance of the more... interesting sorts of criminals. And there's basements... sewers... Really, the entire system surrounding both needs to be reconsidered from scratch with the type of people the facilities need to hold in mind. Otherwise, they'll keep exploiting every weakness that they can find - retrofitting an inherently flawed building won't be enough for all of them," she states rather easily.
Though she's unsure whether or not to trust Selina's agreement as a sign that it will actually be done. She imagines that sort of a project would be extremely difficult and expensive, and more than just Selina would have to agree. But she's also quite certain that if they don't want escapes then it would be very necessary. And she could say more on the subject of exactly how she thinks that the facilities ought to be redesigned, but she's already mentioned such things to Clark before - only to be told that apparently even criminals on this planet have rights which her ideas would severely violate. But she can only roll her eyes at that - perhaps if she could have shown them how the Thanagarian prison system works and how effective it is, then they'd change their minds... It's ridiculous to give criminals rights anyway.
But she abandons that thought to nod and comment, "I do need the money, honestly. I have living expenses, among other things." She always has something expensive she'd like get that would improve her computer, after all. And many pieces of clothing that need tailoring. And while she wouldn't consider herself materialistic at all, there is quite the long list of things that she'd really like to make her apartment more 'homey'. And if she doesn't blow it all on any of that, it would be nice to have enough savings so that she could stop with the side jobs for awhile and concentrate on hero work if she wants to.

While she really, really does like the idea of razing both buildings, and the fact that the sewers, and other access areas are compromising the whole buidling, she just doesn't know if it's viable to tear them both down, rehome everyone within the walls, and then build up. But if they don't do that, the whole idea of revamping the security, trifold, as she's been saying, will be for nothing. "Well. The more you mention it like that, it seems the most logical, rather than just retrofitting it." Biting her lip, she hates to think of the price points, but realize that more lives are at stake if those Villains and more life-hardened criminals are able to get out, after they've been put in.
"If you can write me up a detailed anaylsis of this, I'd apprecaite it. And email it to me as soon as possible, your time will be compensated." She's quiet now, her mind ticking away at the possibilities of such an undertaking. It's catapulting this whole Metropham into something entirely new. Which isn't bad, but it wasn't what she had initially planned for, either. And she'll have to speak with Arkham, on top of it all, as well.
Setting her drink down, she picks it up again a few moments later, and shifts to the edge of her seat, as she focuses more fully on Shayera. Nodding, Selina pulls out a checkbook, and writes a check for a decent amount. It's for Shayera's time, really. And the fact that she could whittle through so many firewalls, with ease. Five-thousand should at least cover something for her time.
Holding out the slip of paper, Selina waits until it is taken before speaking. "Money does plague us all. Use that for what you wish. And don't forget to write that report. You'll be compensated for that, as well. Everyone does have living expenses, and sadly, not everyone is Superman, either." She scoffs at that, knowing that Bruce has the funds to acomplish what he needs, when he isn't able to use and abuse Wayne Enterprises. At least most of her money was hard earned, after she started her own company up.

Allowing Selina the time to think about her ideas, Shayera has no doubt that her reasoning on this matter is completely sound. In theory, there's absolutely no question that it ought to be done, but in the real world some things become impractical. Whether or not that's the case this time is something she'll let Selina work out.
Though when she suggests that Shayera should analyze it, the Thanagarian frowns. "I can, though this actually isn't my area of expertise - I know far more about how to keep people out of a place than I do about keeping them in - it's a somewhat different problem, even if some of the basic principles are the same. I'm also not accustomed to security systems that aren't lethal. Though if you want my thoughts on the subject anyway, I'm happy to share them," she comments, willing to help but feeling the need to throw in those disclaimers. If she was tackling the project, she'd find someone better at that than herself to consult with.
When Selina writes out a check for her, Shayera makes a point of not looking at it before she tucks it safely into a pocket. Of course she'll look later, but there's no point at the moment since she'd hardly argue with Selina about what a fair wage for this meeting would be. Especially since she'd simply refuse to work for Selina if the woman were to make it a habit of not paying her enough, and she's not the type to complain about being paid too much if it's at the other extreme.
Though at the mention of Superman, Shayera can't help but smirk a little and comment, "Even Superman has a day job and needs to pay his rent. You wouldn't believe how many of my friends are middle class when the mask comes off. Some are even poor." True, some of them manage to stumble into some money thanks to their unique abilities, but even then they can't use the money on too many mundane things without raising eyebrows - keeping up the proper appearances is very important. She herself lives rather simply, except for the fancy computer and few bits of other tech she has. Which, in spite of her knowledge, isn't that much - she's one to charge into battle with nothing but her wits, her inherent skills, and her mace instead of a utility belt full of gadgets. And that tends to work for her.

"I wouldn't ask your opinion if I didn't want all aspects. And that's funny. My day job has me specializing in that as well; keeping people out. My nightly gig, well, it keeps me abreast of how to keep people out, as well." Cracking a smile to the too-often serious woman, she does have to admit she is skilled in both sides. Getting in, and preventing that. She reverse engineers her hobby, to make a profit. Now if only everyone could have such fun at work as she did.
"As harsh as it sounds, sometimes lethal methods may be needed. Maybe to not that extreme, but you're quite familiar with the breed of criminal that has evolved in Gotham's heart. Just having a brick and mortar perimeter won't always suffice."
The woman's actions speak volumes. The longer they sit and talk, Selina finds she has a growing respect for the woman. Not looking at a check before putting it away? Class act, right there. Reaching to the scotch, Selina offers to refresh her guest's glass.
"I don't like that. I doubt you're familiar with where I came from, but, I don't like those that put so much good forth into the world, having to ust scrape by. And Clark likes what he does. He's always had a huge heart, and an advantage that not many others have in his field."
"Oh. And if you need any updates on your software, or hardware, you should meet Alec. He is my tech, and was quite impressed when he found you. He's single, too." She added as an aside. "But other than that, we can direct order a new system for you. I am college friends with the CEO of Psypher Tech."
As she can't seem to brush off the fact that so many of the 'capes' seem to have issues day-to-day. "If there are any of your friends that do need help, that may have a skill, and I mean any skill, send them my way. It really ...pisses me off that they aren't...I don't even know the words. You shouldn't be compensated for doing good, but hell, you shouldn't live in squalor, either!" There is a quiet, sincere outrage at that simple fact Shayera brings up. One that she'll have to talk over Bruce with. But has done enough money laundering in her life to know how to do it properly, considering her company now has funds, and other excuses to divert funds. And there is the Bruce Wayne factor.
Speaking of men. Eyeballing Shayera's drink, a bit of a lightbulb goes off in her head. "I have a friend you might want to snag a drink with. He's tall, loves Scotch. Not that I'm trying to set you up, but...I have a decent network on either side of the fence..." She grins, raising a brow. Not that she should be playing matchmaker, but Alec is impressive, and so is Theo.

Selina isn't the only one who knows how to reverse-engineer what she does, though Shayera likes to keep that part of her skillset a bit quiet. It's not considered especially kosher for a hero to know how to do such things - not even the vigilantes take a few of them as far as she can. She may not go sneaking around in the dark, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't know a whole host of questionable tactics.
Though right now, especially, she tries to steer clear of such thoughts and focus on putting what she knows into what's unquestionably a good use. "Actually, I'm still not completely familiar with a lot of the criminals here. Yes, I've done my research, but I've only fought a few and you can only learn so much from what's written down on paper," she comments thoughtfully, "Though I certainly have more than a few things to say about how to keep in someone with super-strength - that's for sure." That's actually an easy part for her - she may only know so much about architecture, but she remembers quite a few things about Thanagarian design that may be useful. After all, she's from a race where everyone has super-strength by human standards, and she knows that there's a few of those among Gotham's criminals.
Holding up her glass so that Selina can fill it, Shayera can't help but smile a little at Selina's reaction to her comment about her friends' financial situations. "Well, I know it doesn't seem completely right when you first hear about that. But just because someone puts on a mask and fights for good doesn't mean that they're not irresponsible and lazy the rest of the time. Trust me, though - if someone in that community truly stands in need, those that do better are quick to help them out. And even the lazy ones get their equipment regardless. But if someone's otherwise living in squalor because they're not willing to get their shit together, giving them extra help isn't... helpful. It only encourages them," she explains, shaking her head. One of the few things that she doesn't miss about the League was how so much of the management she'd been a part of as one of the senior members was like trying to parent young adults. Or teenagers. Or children. Regardless of the actual age of the person in question.
Sipping her drink, Shayera tries to figure out what to say to the rest of Selina's words. Well, first the easy part. "Well, at the moment I believe I'm about as up to date as I can get without designing new things for my system myself more than I already have," she comments, "But if you have a connection within Psypher, especially, then by all means you'll hear from me next time they outdo themselves." Technology always marches on, after all.
Now, for the harder part. "Honestly, though, I'm not sure how... ready I am to be dating. My last relationship didn't end very well," she says, intending to leave it at that at first. But a moment later, she realizes that she's talking to another woman, and one who wouldn't know the other people involved, at that. "See, I had to take a break from things - long story - I didn't know when or if I'd be back. I still love the man, but when I got back I heard that he already has a new girlfriend," she explains, before swallowing down the rest of her scotch in one go. Sighing, she adds, "Of course, after what I did to him, and then leaving like that... it's my fault." But that doesn't mean that it didn't hurt.

"I could help you with that. I ...know most of them." It always shocked her at how odd it was to say that she was even friends with some of them. Very few, but Eddie was a dear friend. But it was still peculiar who she associated with on a daily basis. Vigilantes, Police, criminals, regular folks. Shayera Hol, even. In a business meeting. She shook her head slightly, and laughed at the thought of it.
Raising a brow, she pointed a finger down. "Document your ideas. I will bring them to my board. Not that we have many super-strength villains, but hell. Any information you'd be willing to part with, you will be compensated with, whether or not we use it."
"I like that idea. Looking out for one another. But being lazy is no reason for a free meal. I've been...in want, at one point in my life. So just because you may be getting the impression all I am is money and pretty words, that's not true. And I have a day, and night job." The night occupation was evolving, but she kept that off the books. That was a different conversation and not for this meeting. But she'd already hinted at that to Ms. Hol, and she doubted it needed to be repeated.
When Psyhpher is mentioned, Selina breaks into a smile. "Elise is an old college friend. We had fun," she hints at, and nods. "I'll give her a call, and your address, if I can get that later. She might put you on her beta-testing list, and send you a few things time and again." And why not. Shayera is a wealth of experience, despite looking barely over twenty-nine.
As soon as Shayera hesitates to her date idea, she blanches. Shit. "I'm sorry to hear that. I shouldn've have volunteered..." Selina demurs, slightly embarassed. But she hears the other woman out, resting her arm along the back of her seat, and turning toward her. "Love is always a tricky thing. And, I'm sorry to hear that. I've been married, and divorced, so...I know what it's like to love someone, but know..it won't work. It's difficult. But...even if you want to try easing into it, with no pressure, I know a few other clubs we could go. There is a new one in town that...is going to give the Iceberg a run for it's money, if you know what I mean. The owner is a hoot. Real name is Beretta, but she goes by Rooster." Raising her brows, she sips her drink, thinking of the times she's had there.
"Then again, you know my dating history. I feel like most of Gotham is aware of it, even. I just dislike how much the media intrudes at times. They just can't well enough alone." Which is part of the reason while yes, they're meeting in public, its a rather secluded location, and a client of her's, as well. They piss her off, she pulls her work off their properly. Easy peasy.

Shayera's eyebrow lifts just slightly as Selina mentions knowing most of them. "It's not knowledge that I need, Ms. Kyle, it's experience," she states rather simply. She knows facts upon facts about each, but it's one thing to read and quite another to see and interact. That's something that she just can't get from someone else.
She nods as Selina tells her to document her ideas. The basic principles of holding onto someone who is very strong is very simple: robust construction. In theory, you can hang onto anyone as long as you can build a box for them that's stronger than they are. In practice, that's only true until you run out of materials that are stronger than a specific individual - Clark, for instance. In those cases you hope that they have some sort of weakness you can use against them. Though as far as Shayera knows, there isn't anyone in Gotham strong enough to have that problem, so what she'll give Selina ought to be plenty for their specific purposes.
The very idea of being on Psypher's beta-testing list causes Shayera to smile. She may not use much tech for her hero work - or at least not directly - but she does really enjoy the stuff that she has. "Alright," she says easily. She does have an actual street address, which may surprise some. Much of the security of her home is that it's tricky to get to, at least if you can't fly, climb the building, or know exactly how one can reach the place from the interior of the building - especially the latter without Shayera's knowledge and a bit of assistance. It could be even more secure, but the way she thinks about it, if someone wants to bother her at home she's quite happy to give them the sort of welcome that they deserve.
When Selina looks embarrassed about trying to matchmake, Shayera quickly waves off the apology with a gesture, "No, you're fine - it is what it is." Hard, but, even her current bit of heartbreak is hardly her first. Perhaps it's the one that ended most dramatically, but that fact alone doesn't mean that she doesn't know how to deal. "And thank you, but the club scene and I don't usually get along. Not unless they have a quiet corner like this, but then what's the point? Though I did meet a cop the other night who knows his bars and gave me a list of some quiet ones he recommends, so I've been checking those out," she explains. It really is hard for her to meet men when she has to juggle trying to find that fine balance between being in public where she can meet people, and not being somewhere too public where she'd get mobbed.
The last thing that Selina says causes Shayera to smirk and note, "Actually, all I know about is you and Bruce Wayne - I'm not normally one to care about who is with who. I only know about that one because... well, I don't need to explain that."

As she's deftly corrected, Seilna nods, takes a sip of her drink, and speaks. "Then I'd say go talk to Bruce. He can probably get you better experience without blowing his cover. I'm on a first name basis with most of them, and I'd rather not go about and start picking fights for the sake of gaining something." She's keen to note the look of delight on Shayera's face as she mentions Elise and Psypher. No doubt her guest will send her the proper information to be able to get her hooked up with the testing.
"Rooster's place is similiar to this. It had tables, smaller nooks, a lounge. It's laid back, slightly more country, more Jazz. And a cop? Please tell me his name wasn't Bivins. I know a few on the force, because I consult with them time to time. There a few good single ones that you might like." She smiles again, uncrossing and crossing her legs. She does like this place, though. High spaces, quiet areas, good vantage points. And some quality spirts, as well.
"Still, let me know if something like this tickles your fancy. I trade VIP for security at a few of the places, and it's quite a delectable trade. Business is business, you know. And having privacy to go out, and not be gawked at, but not cooped up ...is a breath of fresh air."
"That, is pretty much the big and small of it. We've tried to keep it out of the public eye...but as you've seen, it's quite interesting to more than just the general populace, and for the exact reasons you, and the other two sides are thinking. Either I'm playing him, betraying him, betraying myself and my friends, or giving up on what I do. And I will be the first to say none of the above is as clear cut as it really is. And that's a shame. They need to go focus on reality tv, instead of my mundane happenings." Then again, who Bruce Wayne is seeing, has always been a tabloid topic. Who Batman is seen flirting with? That's a whole different story. That is compromise. Who is Catwoman 'seducing'? Bias. It all depends on the vantage point, and color of glasses you're wearing when you look at it.

When Selina suggests that she talk to 'Bruce', Shayera's eyebrow lifts, but she doesn't comment. Clearly the woman isn't getting what she means, but it's unimportant so she'll drop the subject.
Nodding as Selina further describes this Rooster woman's club, she's quick to shake her head when Selina asks if the cop was some name she's never heard of - someone who she doesn't want to meet, apparently. Though she looks amused as Selina specifically mentions that there's a number of single cops. "Still trying to set me up, huh?" she asks, finding that far more entertaining than annoying, "No, his name was Bullock - Harvey Bullock. We bumped into each other a couple times while working too."
Though if that sets Selina's matchmaking instincts tingling, unfortunately Shayera shows no sign of him being anything beyond a new friend to her. Yes, they get along well, but like Shayera said she isn't really looking even though she's single. She's just... her love-life is rough right now.
Idly looking around at the place as Selina mentions it again, she comments, "Oh, something like this is great if I want to go out with a friend, definitely, but privacy isn't exactly good for meeting new people and... honestly I need that." Because while she does have friends, she used to interact with them mostly at the Justice League's headquarters - that was easy. Now that she's not only not a member and therefore can't use that venue, she's also having to mend fences with each of them. And even when she's done that they're all busy people who live very far apart, and the place they tend to get together is somewhere she's not welcome... So new friends in Gotham would definitely be a boon. And the Outsiders don't count - they're kids.
As Selina speaks more about public opinion on her and Bruce, Shayera looks thoughtful as she comments, "Well, for my part, I..." She has to stop and think for a moment to figure out how to articulate this thought without saying too much. "I honestly don't think that I really understand the relationship. And that worries me because I don't want to see someone I respect so much, and who already carries so much, get hurt. So I worry, but I wish you two well," she explains, hoping that she's expressing her feelings well enough in spite of the need to be wary of eavesdroppers.

Letting out a long, low exhale of relief, she nods, sipping her drink only to start coughing abruptly at the next name coming from Shayera's lips.
It's a few healthy coughs later to clear the liquor from her lungs, and she sips once more, making sure her drink goes down the right pipe. "I know Theo. Harvey. Whatever. Old friend. And hell, if you've already bumped into him, there is no need for for me to set you up!" Laughing now, she thinks on what scant information she knows of Shayera, and pits it against all she knows of Theo.
"If he has given you suggestions, take them. And the cigars.." She sips her drink again, thinking, and sobering up a bit at the more stoic than normal body language pouring from Shayera.
"I can understand that, though." Thinking a bit longer, she is trying to contemplate places to meet new people, without the staring. "What are your hobbies? I might have an idea or, that would fit those criteria." A few thoughts rattled around, but she didn't want to prematurely offer a horrible experience.
Setting her drink down, she makes sure to look Shayera fully in the face. She is a rather striking woman. Who could afford to smile a bit more. "And if I'm honest, it's not a relationship for others to understand. We are working on navigating it ourselves, but take me on my word, I don't wish to add to his burden, but to help share it. He's much too serious as it is. We're just...." she pauses, seeking out the right terms. "Wading through the waters. There is so much we've come to know about one another, that there are many complications, thoughts, and opinions. But we're both approaching it with open hearts, and open eyes." She adds quietly, grateful for the vague terms Shayera has initially used.

When Selina suddenly starts coughing on her drink, Shayera is instantly concerned, though she soon relaxes when she sees the fit passing quickly. The explanation for it comes just a few moments later, and first her eyebrow lifts and then she laughs. "Small world!" she comments, though she's quick to also ask, "You're okay?" Probably, but it's nice to ask just in case.
The mention of cigars causes Shayera to laugh a little again, and she comments, "Oh, cigars don't do anything for me - I seem to be immune to nicotine. Not alcohol, though..." And, having reminded herself that her glass is empty with that comment, she snags the bottle and pours herself another glass. "The couple bars I've been to so far have been perfect though," she comments. Small, low-key atmosphere, tolerant staff... He really did pick good ones for her to try.
Selina's question causes her to purse her lips - everyone seems to want to know her hobbies, and it's hard for her to decide which things are hobbies and which things are just, well, work. "Well, strength training, combat practice, flying, computers and tech of course, chess, studying human cultures and trying their food..." she lists off, and then shrugs, sipping her drink. Well, at least the couple at the end weren't so much work-related. There's perhaps a couple more she could have mentioned, but... well, she's not so proud of those ones right now.
As always, the most striking feature of Shayera's face are her eyes. They're green and tend to focus very intently on whatever she's looking at - as if she can see right through it. She smiles plenty, though... when she's in the right mood. Unfortunately, she hasn't been in that kind of mood very often recently. Nodding as Selina talks about her relationship, she says, "Well, I'm sure at some point someone's given you the 'be careful' speech, so I won't bother. Do let me know if he ever needs his butt kicked though - I can do that." She smiles at that, but she really could. Well, if she catches him in the right situation, anyway - the more open and the less cover there is, the better.

Holding up a finger, she's glad her guest is inquiring about how she is. She's fine. It just seems the circles she has been running are trending toward overlaps, more and more these days. And sometimes it's shocking.
"Good. And yes, very small world. More and more, and I'm betting quicker, in the next few weeks, my different circles are going to collide." There really is no other way to put it.
"They are pretty damn good, I will admit. Nothing can beat a fine sunset, a good cigar, a glass of something with a bit of a bite, and good company." Nodding thoughtfully, she is nearly lost in a memory or two of that exact scenario. If she's recalling correctly, a few of the bars Shayera has been to are quite up to the standards and particulars she's been wanting. "There is this one little dive bar, dunno if you've been there. Looks like nothing from the outside, but it's fantastic inside, a bit dark, music, no one asks questions, and it feels like you're with friends." She takes a long sip of her drink to wash the memory from her mind. She likes that one, but doesn't want to remember the events that happened after she was there last.
"Oooh. I can't help much with flying, but I have a few other places that you might like. One is a rather exclusive gym. I'll get you a membership." She pauses, hopefully conveying it's not out of pity, but out of gratitude. "You can only get in by reference from another member. Great staff, expansive place, eclectic patrons." Another mental note for later.
"I've gotten it...from quite a few people. Never my mother, sadly, but there are others that care quite a bit for his wellbeing, without realizing that I, too, have a heart, and despite my reputation, am not exactly what I do." She's more than a thief, and pretty non-violent.
"And I'd appreciate that. It's always nice to have someone in my corner that can best him. He needs to be reigned in at times, but no doubt you've noticed..." Leaning back in her seat, she shift, and folds her leg beneath her, getting a bit more comfortable. "Tell me about what you do like in a man-and no, I'm not trolling you for attributes. It's always a topic of discussion. What is good, what is never on that list, speculation why we like such traits."
