When Zahira told Rowdy she needed both hands and wanted to keep things professional between them. he gave her a startled look and withdrew his arm. Zahira Ormarr was definitely a unique individual. He’d never met a woman quite like her before. Keeping his distance, he let her lead the way. He wasn’t offended by her comments. He just wanted to give her enough room to operate on her own.
“Thanks again for doing this,” he said, trying to keep the conversation going.
A few minutes later, Rowdy was giving Zahira another startled look, blinking his eyes and wondering if she did drugs or was on any kind of medication. Although she seemed to have taken his asp joke seriously, he considered the “Welcome to the Universe” sign as her attempt at humor. Was she for real?
“When I said the beginning, I didn’t mean it literally!” he scolded playfully as they entered the space entrance. What Zahira shared with him next about the beginnings of the universe and Earth’s origin kept his attention the entire time.
“Wow! This is incredible!” he exclaimed, admiring the view of the stars and the globe of Earth. He was impressed with Zahira’s knowledge of Egyptian astronomy, too.
When she asked him if anything had peaked his curiosity, he smiled. “Can we fast-forward a bit?” he asked brazenly. “All the stars are making me sleepy! I want to see a mummy!”
With that, he pointed to his T-shirt and grinned.
Just then, one of the stars in the simulation twinkled, and Rowdy closed his eyes and made a wish. When he opened them again, he looked at Zahira.
“I used to wish on stars all the time when I was a kid,” he confessed. “I’m still waiting for a lot of my dreams to come true.”
He smiled awkwardly.
“If you could have one wish come true, what would it be, Zahira? Seriously. Mine would be seeing my Mom again. I never got to say good-bye to her.”
Rowdy choked on the words.

There was the briefest moment catching Rowdy's reaction to Zahira turning down his arm. Not completely offended… Startled maybe… Though Zahira took lead. Perhaps she could have just said she didn't want to take it, feeling she hardly needed to explain why. Thankfully he wasn't too hurt by it, but she wasn't someone that would apologise for knowing what she did and didn't want. Maybe it would change in time, anything was possible. Living as she did. Whether one saw it as simply from living in a country that could be dangerous, she was all she had to protect herself. Dropping her guard, wasn't going to fall on a whim. Unique. She could be unique. She was very much her own woman, but she was a Woman. Real. Complex and yet at the same time, if you paid close attention, she was quite simple. Striding casually with the hint of stoic down the hall. Her darkened locks swayed ever so slightly. Less wet now, yet with a little extra chill, just from the larger spaces of the museum versus her office. She offered a simply smile and glance back as Rowdy thanked her. Before tugging at the fabric of her cardigan. Doing up some of the buttons. Before tugging a little at the sleeves, less of insecurities, clearly more for that little bit of warmth. She could cope with this mild chill, far more than it was like outside. Zahira was almost sure she could hear echoes of the whistling… So fun.
Leading into. Stepping into the space station pretty much. Opening eyes to the universe. Stars… Planets. Yep, she could just make out Saturn. Catching Rowdy's 'startled' look, again. Less than sure what that even means. Her lack of humour? Hmmm, wonder why that is. Zahira wasn't exactly you're class clown.. Then she didn't exactly go to class anyway. Zahira could laugh, have humour, it just remained to be seen, you'd know when something is indeed funny if you can make her laugh. It isn't easy, but not impossible. Whilst she got his joke, who could really say death was so funny… Maybe she was just to serious in that regard… Zahira motioned at one of the touch screens, highlighting some of the constellations in the sky above. Occasionally throwing out a shooting star. Though at Rowdy's words, Zahira was now a tad confused. "Oh, I'm sorry… You said for me to choose… I just assumed this be a good start, no harm. Like I said, this is your tour… Look there's Uranus!" Zahira apologised to Rowdy, added she just assumed this was a good start, but seems she simply guessed wrong. No biggie, they could always go elsewhere. Personally she thought it was rather beautiful in here, almost as good as the real thing. Pointing out the planet somewhat behind him. She was almost at Pluto, even though it wasn't much of a planet anymore. Zooming out. Given there was a lot of connection between stars and ancient egypt, it was certainly familiar. There was certainly more to it that simply sand and a couple of pyramids. Thos pyramids were after all quite connected to the stars themselves. As Zahira then picked up Rowdy's next words… So not all bad? Maybe it wasn't such a bad start, she smiled simply, before she pressed on the screen to cause a little change in the colour of the sky, kinda like an aurora… "We sure can… I can take us to the egyptian exhibit, if thats what you want to see next?" Zahira asked, to clarify she understood him now, no harm. She could totally take him there. Displayed a subtle look and smile as he pointed to his shirt, of course. Mummies. She maybe able to show one, maybe a couple.
Who knew the man pressed with insecurities and the overly forward personality had a sensitive side. Zahira noted simply as he stopped and decidedly saw a little more than shining lights in the sky. Zahira motioned from the touch screen, to some mere feet where he stood as she also looked up. Wishing on stars, maybe when she was a kid. She could hardly recall… Her dark eyes flashed to Rowdy at his words, 'I'm still waiting for my dreams to come true.' She admired he had dreams, everyone should, but. Not that she needed to sound egotistical, but maybe that was the problem. He was waiting for them, not taking charge. In all her patient behaviours, she didn't wait for her goals. Her destiny whatever you wish to call it or them. Depending on what they were… What did she wish for? Really she couldn't say, without tripping on wires. Least for now. "For the sun to come out…" Zahira then threw out, simple, truthfully and extremely harmless. Who didn't wish for that… "Oh, I'm sorry… I'm sure in your own way you did. I'm sure you will see her again. When the time is right!" Zahira spoke in sympathy and hopefully encouraging. Clearly as he choked and Zahira needn't look in his eyes to know there was pain. A similar pain she had known, to miss somebody, one day she will see them again. As much as she might want to see them now, she couldn't wish to pull them from peace, only for her own gain and knowing what they would be wishing for right now. Not everything was easy, its just the way that it was and we all accept it in our own way. Though from the sounds of his grandma. His mother. His pain. His insecurities. He was holding on too a lot, Zahira least gathered. He had walls. Guarded by his heightened personality. Zahira was realising it was a part of him, but it was in a lot of ways masking a lot of things. Wrong or right, but we all hide in our own ways. Zahira in her far more subtle way.

“My anus?” Rowdy laughed, turning his butt to Zahira when she mentioned Uranus. He knew Zahira was talking about the planet, but he couldn’t let it go. “Yep! There it is, all right!”
Rowdy noticed the look in Zahira’s eyes as she answered his question. “Yeah, I’m still waiting for my dreams to come true, too,” he sighed. “And I want the sun to come out, too, dammit! We have that in common!” He smirked at her. “Y’know, you’re funny – in your own quirky kinda way! I don’t know if that was an attempt at being humorous or not, but I appreciate it!”
Then Zahira mentioned Rowdy seeing his mother again, which caught him offguard. “When the time is right?” he asked. “What do you mean by that? When I’m dead? No, thanks. I’m not ready to die any time soon.”
He noticed Zahira wouldn’t look him in the eye. Was she being judgmental of him?
“What’s wrong?” he finally asked, sounding a bit irritated. “I’m the one hurting here, not you. What? I can’t share a vulnerable moment with you and show any feeling or emotion because I’m a guy? Don’t judge me.”

There Zahira stood at the touch screen, generally eyeballing the universe or more pointedly, Uranus. Just over Rowdy's 'shoulder'. As her dark eyes then fell aimlessly as Rowdy turned and remarked what she vaguely pointed out. Suppose that was beneficial he could practically call himself an ass. "It sure is!" Zahira responded with a subtle amusing smile and gentle eyes. Suppose his wasn't bad either, decidedly not as colourful though. As Zahira zoomed out of uranus. Zooming down back to around Jupiter. Then Utopia. It was also a sight to glimpse the icy moon, but glimpsing Jupiter, certainly could warm you back up. Zahira randomly spent a good little time exploring. Zooming in at the different parts of the universe. Standing on Earth, often you forget how small you really are, in a universe so big. Not that Zahira could say she had much desire to explore the stars more closely, maybe one day. Finally zoomed out and motioned away. Backed away. It was very easy sometimes to get drawn in. As she kindly made way. A little closer to where Rowdy stood.
Zahira listened as Rowdy spoke, though from the sounds he took more from her words than she had led with. "Almost, but I'm not waiting. It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." Zahira corrected Rowdy, if there was dreams or goals, then she worked to achieve them, not sit on her palms and just wait for them to come to her… Zahira smiled innocently and half amused as Rowdy responded to her 'wish' for the sun. Suppose she should have realised the lack of the sun right now, because initially that wasn't what she meant. "I meant more in there being a tomorrow, but that works as well… Thank-you!" Zahira replied honestly and kindly with a soft laugh. She wasn't hung up on it, but it was at least something. Especially when you put your neck on the line, who knows what will happen. Though for the more selfish reasons, she could be wishing for the sun, not just the sun, the heat. Funny? Zahira couldn't say she had been called funny very often if at all, but she'd take it either way. Smiled subtly.
When Rowdy responded in relation to the right time and death. Zahira's dark eyes momentarily wandered, mild retreat, not to feel so invested in this, she really couldn't claim such wisdom in this, but if he was seeking at all comfort from her or what she did know or feel. Then she could try. In the slightest. "Sure, whatever the right time means for you…" Zahira remarked simply, so not to totally go into a religious preaching, especially when she wasn't religious herself, not that she didn't have believes, but they were mostly her own. With some little guidance… "Whether it be tomorrow, 50 or 100 years from now, wouldn't that be worth the wait than appose to never seeing them?" Unless he was blessed with immortality, death and whatever you believe afterwards. As Zahira expressed the random dates. You really can't know and having been pretty much on deaths door her self, many many years ago, its gonna happen. Hopefully not tomorrow as Zahira smiled at least putting across seeing them something, someway was better than simply thinking you'll never see them, you really couldn't say that anymore so. "Even putting that a side, you're mother…. You're grandmother, is a big part of why you are here… You really shouldn't need to look far to know they're always a part of you." Zahira then added, for perhaps a little peace of mind, but she wasn't at all trying to suggest how or what he should feel. Mourning was always different for different people. She couldn't truly help him, even if she wanted to. Zahira could simply push from her own awareness.
It certainly wasn't something to go completely into on a tour, then again death wasn't completely off the table in some aspects of the Egyptian exhibit, but still Zahira wasn't used to such upfront and personal. Easier when it was one sided of course. She had no problem in listening, which she was kind of baffled at Rowdy's questioning and the irritation in his voice. Why is simply being a little timid a crime? So she wasn't giving him everything? Could he really say she wasn't giving him anything at all? Suppose if he took her lack of eye contact to heart, when merely she was just not comfortable with it. Though she did look to him now, still subtly. There was little raise in any irritation on her part. Perhaps put that down to giving a lot of tours, one can deal with all kinds of people. Zahira generally could be objective, though she wasn't a therapist… Her eyes barely flashed as he stated he was the one hurting, here. He was probably right, but despite her own hurts, she knew there was a world filled with them. She saw them almost every day and every night."You can share and show all you want… They're your feelings. Guy, girl, everyone has them… I mean within conversation. I think I saw enough show and tell." Zahira all, but insisted. If he wanted to for whatever reason clear his chest, then she wasn't going to stop him. Nor would she force him, he was a grown up, he could choose to speak or not, what to speak and so forth. Though mildly innocently added he could share and show in conversation, so not to invite undressing of clothes or unwanted touches. Otherwise Zahira was comfortable if he didn't take advantage of that, but she least could thrust that he wouldn't. This wasn't an official official tour so it certainly laid open for more casual talk, Zahira expected that, but her mind was still more on work mode than it was off it. So naturally her mind was in two places at once, particularly now when Rowdy had all, but said he wanted to see everything, all though with his proclaim to fast forward, perhaps not. "Me? Judge you? I wouldn't dream of it." Zahira questioned, he had her a little wrong if he was really thinking she was judging him, perhaps to an extent, but the natural extent. Otherwise she just didn't know him and he was most likely confusing her 'observations' with judgement. She was merely noting what she saw and knew, with little wonder as to why, but she knew in most cases she couldn't know that as fact. "I'm sorry if you think otherwise, though I am here aren't I? If I'm not mistaken for judging, its you that keeps finding excuses to run." Zahira apologised in kind, despite feeling she was guilty of such things, but she was who she was. Throwing it back out there, reminding him that she was here. She wanted to be 'here', whether she wanted to be 'here' with 'him, that was another thing entirely and in honesty most likely not, who would want to be with someone they don't know? Mostly Zahira just knew she wanted to take him on the tour. That she knew how to do. She was maybe timid and unsure, avoiding, but she was here. Could she really be guilty of being flightily? Her feet maybe almost shaking, but she wasn't running. Rowdy was the one that kept trying to push and seemingly when she didn't push enough back, he was seeking a way out. Why did some people need to take more out of things, that really what they were. "Would you like to spend anymore time in the universe, Rowdy? Or we can go elsewhere? Egyptian exhibit or we can go through the dinosaur part first? We should also check out the butterfly house, it is quite lovely in there." Zahira turned more simple and kind to Rowdy. Stepped over to a touch screen at the 360 globe and she was spinning the world round, right round. As she simply smiled she could take them somewhere else. If he just rather see the egyptian exhibit, she could just go there or see the dinosaurs first. Suppose they could always go elsewhere from the Egypt Exhibit. Suggesting a small hint to the butterfly house, but merely just because from her own enjoyment of it. Despite the snake often looming over her head, she also quite fascinated by insects. Particularly the praying mantis. Such a beautiful creature, that knew about patience and timing.

Rowdy noticed how expertly Zahira was handling the electronic equipment with ease. She certainly wasn’t a novice at it, and she seemed to be enjoying the simulations more than he was. It was obvious to him that she liked what she did for a living, which makes all the difference in the world when it comes to career choices. As much as she was getting into the planets, Rowdy was surprised she hadn’t become an astronaut so she could explore space . . . just like Captain Kirk in Star Trek, which he thought would be so cool!
Rowdy liked Zahira’s comment about not dwelling on dreams and forgetting to live life. He was impressed that she had brains and beauty. The women he usually encountered had either one or the other, not both. Zahira came across as a proactive self-starter who had goals and made things happen. That was something else they had in common.
Rowdy was aware that Zahira kept fading in and out mentally, thinking about this or that because of memories being triggered by the conversation. Noting her wandering eyes, he snapped his fingers at her and laughed. “Hello! You’re giving a tour here! Stay with me!”
He nodded at her comments about death. He gleaned what comfort he could from them. Speaking of comfort, he could tell she wasn’t used to being this upfront and personal with people. Did she have any close friends? He kinda doubted it.
Rowdy let out a sigh of relief when Zahira told him she wasn’t judging him. However, he was offended at her observation that he was always looking for excuses to run. If it wasn’t for the snowstorm outside, he would’ve been done with the tour. Instead of saying anything that might embarrass himself, he just stood there, his eyes smoldering and his jaw clenched as Zahira suggested other sections they could go and visit.
“Whatever,” he said curtly. “The Butterfly House is fine.”
Rowdy was quiet for most of the remainder of the tour.

It was somewhat quite natural to pick up the hang of something, when it interested you, right? Planets. Stars. Of course on a level she was intrigued, but no she had no desire to be an astronaut. It was one thing to work a touch screen, it was quite another thing to work a space ship, plus as much as she loved discovery, she also enjoyed mystery. Suppose she found interest in what some consider boring or dull. Though she was almost admit this was a cool room… Yeah, maybe a little to cool and she felt the mild chill in the air. Her hands kindly rubbing at the arms of her cardigan. Before meeting Rowdy front and centre. Finding herself in talks of dreams and ultimately death. Yet, he fell incredibly silent… Which was either a good thing or a bad thing. She paid little attention to it and brushed it off mostly. After all she hardly even knew this man… Though at the click of fingers. His laughter. His words…. She then did look at him, she had quite unexpected… She wasn't sure if he was somewhat trying to be kind pointing out insecurities of her own or laughing at her. She smiled a half smile briefly, it mattered less than he was suggesting she was given any less than a good tour… "I'm sorry… Did you have any questions?" Zahira kindly apologised, she took quite pride in trying to give a great tour, every tour. So she definitely took his words on board, even though she was sure she hadn't greatly derailed off the tour, even if it was a personal tour. It was no reason for her to be lack in what she generally knew how to do… So she asked if there were any questions. Anything about the section before they departed, although she highly doubted she'd have most of the answers when it came to space, but she'd try.
Hmmm, she was somewhat surprised how silent Rowdy grew, when moments ago you could hardly shut him up… Suppose death was a weird thing to talk about, she really couldn't take much from it, given he said nothing… If at all, she had either said the wrong thing or the right thing… Either way she had tried. Her focus was mostly on the tour. Though she could note how in a second he relaxed his pulse and then subtly it stiffened… Yeah, mostly like she said something he didn't want to hear. Not that she could read his mind, but she could easily catch as his eyes fled… A little heat. Hmmm, he was possibly offended. Mentally running away though was probably just proving her right, she half smiled to herself. If he was so offended she would have more respect in him to prove her wrong. She had merely pointed what she'd seen so far, apart from that she didn't know him. Whatever he was dealing with it was on him. Not her. "Sure thing… Follow me!" Zahira kindly replied to his casual fling of words, she was more than happy to carry on. Go to the next phase. So too speak. A subtle smile, before she led back out of the space station. Flicking off the lights as they went. Headed down a hall to the right and after a decent stroll past some forestation behind some glass… Before some windows to the outside. It was like the end of the world feeling out there, perhaps that was over selling it. Either way it wasn't friendly. For Zahira it mostly just made her shiver a little, yet happy she was at least dry now… Any longer out there and she would have been a flying popsicle… Eventually after a couple of minutes. The house was on another side of the museum, so it took some time, but eventually got there. With just that little eagerness at Zahira's steps, as they reached the entrance and Zahira helped usher Rowdy inside.
Once inside, Zahira led a little down some steps and onto a platform that surrounded the beautifully green environment. Whilst also be met with great warm temperatures. Thus Zahira was a little eager. Already feel the faint pitch of warm tickle her toes. Her dark hands played lightly on the railing as her otherwise darker eyes looked behind her glasses and scanned the mini forest. Catching faint glimpses of some of the fluttering butterflies. Of course they could get closer. There were paths that weaved in and around the area, but she doubted they were in much of a rush… "So what do you think?" Zahira sweetly asked Rowdy, she quietly unbuttoned her cardigan and removed it. Hanging it over her arm. It was that warm. "Do you have a favourite butterfly? Even though, they're beautiful. I find them also very courageous." Curiously Zahira asked, whilst her eyes motioned towards the Butterfly chart, if perhaps he wanted to spot it. Zahira kinda already had her eyes looking for one, but mostly enjoyed the environment as a whole. A forest was a rarity for her, not a complete myth, but certainly it was something. Though she looked to Rowdy a little more intently. Even though the tour had barely gotten them far, she was always curious to ask… "So I have a question for you… If you could have your own Museum… What would you put into it?" Brushing her black locks over her shoulder as Zahira looked to ask, maybe that could give some little insight. Maybe it would just be your average chit chat.
