"We'll have to see about that Kor," Dick replied.
He kept his eyes on the road as he made their way to the manor. The streets were easy enough for him to get by. When you lived in Gotham all your life, it was easy to get around.
As they entered through the main gates of the Manor, Dick listened to the new developing conversation. The reason for the schooling and Kory's words.
This was a topic Dick knew well. Gymnastic was something that was required of the Bat-family at this point in time. If you wanted to survive, you needed to know the basics. And Dick was well above advanced.
"I can perform gymnastics. But I was trained as an acrobat," Dick replied to Kory.
He was just putting it out there more or less what he had grown up doing. Kory was on the subject line, but he was more used to flying through the air and performing at high heights.
It wasn't much longer before he pulled up to the main entrance of the Manor now, and he parked the vehicle outside the main hall.

When Kory mentions the circus, Charlotte can't help but be somewhat surprised by that. "No..." she answer the question. Or at least she didn't remember Selina saying anything about a circus. Of course, it could be that Selina told her and she forgot. But it's not like she got the full life story of either of them - just enough to know that these are people she can trust if there were some sort of a crisis. Something which Charlotte had assumed would be unlikely, so she'd mainly just concentrated on the names and recognizing their faces.
Though this new information is somewhat interesting - far more interesting than anything else they've talked about so far. "Oh," she replies as Dick explains his training. From her understanding, the difference is that while a gymnast learns a predefined list of moves on standardized equipment, though there's a bit of room for improvisation here and there, acrobatics is more generally the idea of being able to perform feats of balance, agility, and such in all sorts of situations - which makes sense to Charlotte, if he was doing circus things. But then, what Selina has her doing isn't strictly gymnastics either - that's just kind of a central hub of a lot of other things, and the only one of those that she does at school.
"Selina says I'm good at that kind of thing," she comments, "You know, for being new at it." Though she honestly doesn't have any idea how much weight Selina's opinion has on that subject. And it's hard to feel good about her skills when there are so many girls at the school who are much better than her. Granted, most of the ones who take it really seriously started when they were little kids, so it would be an understatement to say that they have way more experience than she does. True, she's improving quite a bit faster than the girls at her own level, but most of those are doing gymnastics to cross-train for some sort of dance so it's easy to write the difference off as her simply taking it more seriously.
As they pull up to Wayne Manor, Charlotte can't help but make a face to herself at the sheer size of the place. Ugh. But, deciding that she'll have to just grin and bear it, she unbuckles herself and grabs her backpack as she hops out, where she waits for the other two to tell her where to go and what to do. She just hopes that she can see Selina soon - it would be something safe and normal among all the new things.

The trips to and from the manor had been plentiful enough, not exactly from this direction. So there certainly were extra sights to see, but Kory was most taken by the individuals in the car. Keeping up some mild, ok perhaps a little over mild conversation. Not that it was at all because she was nervous… Perhaps she was a tiny bit, not in the sense she was at all scared. Mostly unsure as to what the hell was happening. How this young girl was involved or even threatened. But, well how many times had titans walked into the unknown, although usually Dick knew something about what's up, but still she trusted him, as well as her fists. She had certainly felt comfort and perhaps a little to much comfort. As Kory kindly smiled in response to Dick responding to her. Understanding he was busy. Time whatever he could give, she'd happily snap up. Her hand kindly for a moment found his.
"Dick was a Flying Grayson, a spectacular one at that. Unfortunately I missed seeing it in person… Do you think Haly's circus will come back to Gotham?"
Kory shifted her eyes in direction of Charlotte, upon hearing Selina had not told the young girl, Kory responded in kind. Delighted enough to share, well a little, it was still Dick's to share, but delighted that this was less of a secret she needed to keep right now. Plus of course this was about Dick, someone she was deeply proud of and loved. This was part of that. Although she knew he was much more now. Smiling sweetly as she mentioned to Charlotte he was a Flying Grayson and yet he still was, least in her eyes. Every night, though she saw Nightwing, she ultimately still saw Dick… Her covered green eyes turned to Dick a little as she did miss out seeing his circus days, she wasn't even close to orbiting Earth at that point, but she had seen plenty at night. In training, but still she felt there was something in him possibly still having little thoughts of the circus. Did he want to return? She couldn't be sure, but she'd certainly support any and all decisions… Rested her red head back in her seating, after a short pause, curious extended the question if the circus might return to Gotham. Not something she really tracked, but something Dick might. Offering a kin smile, as Dick explained he was an acrobat and did gymnastics. It wasn't exactly something she was trained for, heck she could just fly through it literally.
"I find gymnastics so beautiful and empowering to watch… Acrobatics is more up in the air, like flying correct? I could only imagine what that feels like!"
Short and very sweetly Kory added her thoughts on gymnastics. Though she couldn't say she really took part, least none she could truly own up to it, but there was no doubt she had been audience to it many many times. Never did it get old, smiling sweetly… Just as amazed at the acrobatics, thought she knew somewhat the differences. They certainly flew more or got pretty darn close. No, she was pretty sure Dick flew. What man in his right mind jumps off a building without a second thought. She was pretty sure falling wasn't something that sprung to his mind until it was nearly too late. Recalling not even a couple nights ago, impressive as always. Looked to Dick with knowing slightly playful eyes behind her glasses, but her voice was certainly sincere she couldn't help herself joking, knowing she could actually fly… Of course in all seriousness of the training that had shaped Dick into what he had become, was truly astounding. It was no lie that she did on occasion enjoy watching him, whether it was the gymnastics, the acrobatics or both, he was beyond graceful. It was almost like dancing in the air. She knew it from a distance. She knew it up close and…. Certainly personal!
"Thats truly wonderful, Charlotte. Its certainly be a lot of hard work, yet it would be so rewarding. It must be fun… What is your favourite thing to do in the gymnastics? Mine, would probably be the rings. I love watching it. The patience. The Precision. The strength. I could go on and on… If you do performances, we'd certainly be keen to attend it…"
It was certainly a great thing to hear Charlotte was certainly finding something she was good at and by the sounds, potentially passionate about. Only just meeting the young girl, but there certainly was a lot more beneath the surface. As Kory kindly responded, somewhat guessing, but knowing how much Dick alone put in, then again he put in at least 110 percent in anything he did, but in most hard work there would be something rewarding. In this for sure, Kory could almost be sure, as she smiled sweetly. Turning her head slightly towards Charlotte as Kory asked what here favourite thing was, if she did have one or more, just out of kind curiosity. As Kory thought about it, it really wasn't a long thought before the rings had jumped to mind. Least she was sure that was what they were called. Eyes mindfully escaped to Dick a little, because watching him on the rings, may certainly have helped… Watching the flex of muscles. The slow movements. The jolting. She certainly could be thinking of a place to put rings in her apartment for later. Before curiously and kindly throwing it out there if there were performances and such, they'd certainly be keen to check it out, although she had just met them, but Kory was certainly curious to see.
"Oh splendid. We're here…!"
Openly noted, as Dick drove them through the front gates of the mansion. Looming in its grand size and ultimately growing in size as they came closer and closer towards it. Before coming to the halt outside the main hall. It looked crisp and cool. Frosty and a little gloomy from the wintery weather. The bits of snow. Of course looking about there be no sign of a snowman, just wilted trees awaiting for the summery weather. Leaving her purse in the car. Kory just took her phone in hand incase it was required. Before opening her passenger door and stepping outside. Feeling the tinge of the sharp coolness, but she was mostly resilient to it. Her main concern right now was Charlotte and getting her inside. Getting her to safety, from whatever was going on… Helping to open Charlotte's door and allowed her to exit, before closing the car door behind her. Walked a little behind Charlotte. With a look here and there, it was unlikely they'd be followed. It certainly didn't appear as though they had…
"Do you know what's going on?"
Kory spoke low in Dick's ear after waiting for him to exit and join them. Naturally her hand slipped around his lower arm a little. Stealing the moment hopefully with her other hand to his cheek to take his lips to her own for a short moment. Not knowing at all what was going to happen. Taking that walk now to the unknown. To the door. To greet or be greeted hopefully by someone they're expecting to see.

"I recall you saying that you were staying in Europe during that time of the tour going on." Dick recalled to Kory.
Though they both knew the truth that she was out of that planet and or solar system.
"To be honest, I'm not sure. They've hit a few towns around in the area in the last few years. The circus doesn't exactly stop at the same city every year. There's a lot of place to go," he said.
He wasn't all that sure himself considering he had his own work. And they didn't always post their stop offs for the following years. Though he kept an eye out for his old family circuit. He may not be with them, but they were still his family in ways.
"In away it is," he said.
Dick listened to Charlotte as she spoke up once again. It was a bit of a challenge to get her interest, but it seemed this topic held it.
"Some people are a natural talent. And gymnastics is one talent no one should ever pass up the opportunity to surpass in," he replied.
As they pulled up to the main entrance, Dick climbed out of the vehicle and led the way toward the manor. Of course he knew the way around. He was Bruce's ward. And had grown up in this place.
"There's a bit of a situation with an old acquaintance of Bruce's that is causing a bit of a stir with Selina," Dick replied in an evenly low voice.
He wasn't sure if Bruce would approve of him giving Kory the full details. That was something that could take a while. And from what he knew, quite a bit of it was personal. And these threats were along those lines.
Bruce's history was not something one shared with others. Bruce had trusted him with it. He wasn't even sure if Tim knew the full details like he and Alfred had.
Once they got to the door, Alfred had already been expecting them and opened the door in greeting to the three of them.
"Thanks Alfred, I'll put my stuff way myself," he said in regards to his jack.

Having never really been to a circus, or at least not any of the larger, better kind, Charlotte doesn't really know what to say about it. She's never heard of a Flying Grayson before - it just wasn't something that was important to her family. Though as Kory asks her about gymnastics, she finally ventures a response. "Balance beam," she says, giving the name of her favorite apparatus - mostly because keeping her balance really isn't that hard for her most of the time, at least compared to her classmates, so they're all very impressed by how everything she does on the floor is so easily transferred onto the beam.
Though, having said that, she immediately also states, "Rings are for guys." Which means that she has no real interest in them herself. Or the pommel horse or the different configurations of bars that they use, for that matter. Instead her focus is the women's apparatus - the uneven bars and the balance beam. And of course there's the floor stuff and the vault but the guys do those too.
But those thoughts are interrupted by their arrival, and Charlotte has to sigh to herself as she grabs her backpack and gets out. She finds herself in the middle, with Dick in front and Kory in the back as they approach. She's silent as she follows, though her eyes seem to skim her surroundings, just curiously taking them in. That process is repeated when they go inside - Sheesh, this place is huge! It's enough of a distraction that she accidentally fails to notice the butler's greeting at the door, though thankfully he's understanding enough to not be troubled by that. She's just never been anywhere this big before. Or at least, not anywhere that wasn't a public building anyway. She can't help but pause to simply look around herself for a bit.

If this was Dick trying to save Kory. Making an excuse. Europe was quite a leap, though it did suggest she was far far away, which was true. Kory smiled to Dick, with a knowing smile that he possibly nearing the line and yet far from it. Not only was not on Earth, she hadn't even met him yet when she was a child. In fact was either before she was a slave or possibly during it, but she really didn't think to much of it. What only mattered was that she did finally find Earth and her friends, Dick of course. Certainly coming to find a cute boy with his bare legs and bright colours, was least expected. He really had her at the yellow cape. She could chuckle mindfully at herself, perhaps somethings weren't so hard to forget. Least one thing, she did like Europe, visited many places in this world, often alongside the titans, but occasionally solo. Certainly one advantage being able to fly.
"Oh right… I believe it was Spain I was visiting at the time. Because I recall being tossed out of a stadium… well, not physically… But, you know how they feel about people cheering for the bull. Apart from that mishap, the country was beautiful! Do you have any places you want to visit, Charlotte? Travelling can be so exciting… You know this reminds me. We should go camping, spring isn't that far off… We'll stay clear of the bees this time. Although I truly enjoyed that bath."
Kory added as she rested her head back in the chair. Tossing spain out there, though she had actually visited Spain. A couple of times. The language was certainly beautiful and a little sexy, Kory had to admit. The bull fighting was exciting to finally see, but she had certainly felt bad for the bull. Though cheering apparently was a no go. Kory recalled being asked to leave, well insisting. The country of course did have its wonders Kory did like and enjoyed. As she pretty much could find something anywhere she went. Kindly asking if Charlotte had any travelling desires, whether she was able to or not, at least the desire. Even though Kory could certainly find a home in New York and eventually Bludhaven, travelling was a wonderful thing to do. To go places and meet people… When Kory was thinking of travelling and places more closer to home. Perhaps it may have seemed more random, but this was Kory. Just throwing the camping idea out there, perhaps in the coming weeks, month. Spring would certainly be following soon after winter, it be a great time to camp. All the plants blooming and babies being born. It was like watching life literally spring out of the ground. Despite living in and around buildings now, Kory was raised within nature. So occasionally there was the natural draw. Despite being a slightly different nature, but just as gifted. As Kory assured from the last time with the interest in finding honey sort of became dangerous. Even got bitten a few times herself and the recovering certainly wasn't the worst thing in the world.
"A lot of places? When you said you travelled a lot, you really did, didn't you? X'hal! Wow! We could google it sometime!"
So often through the years things were talked about. The circus life. Dick's life before it suddenly changed and often painted the picture, but at the same time it was also something Kory really couldn't completely grasp, just least in the such sense she was from another world. So there was more often it would seem new to her and really now imagining Dick traveling to all these places. As Kory brightly questioned remarked. It was quite different now and perhaps things would be greatly different if he still was. Although despite he was physically in one place longer, he was more in several places mentally. As much as over the years with Kory, he'd become even more to be with her in the moment. The present. The past was certainly something to respect, more so for a human. It ruled many of their lives. Part of who they are… Dick was more than who he was and Kory was certainly intrigued to visit if he was. Well, least google it if it a thing she could do.
"Really? Thats disappointing… I could have sworn I've seen women play with rings or am I thinking hoops? Either is interesting to watch… X'hal, balance beam! Thats amazing and can be quite elegant, classy. If you ever have the time, I'd love to see. Perhaps if you are in need of trading some tips, you could with Dick. He is pretty good with his balancing, although I still think his stealth can do with a little improving… I'm kidding! Then again… How many 'tables' have you run into this past week?"
Kory could be forgiven surely for not knowing these kinds of details, but as she ran that information in her mind. She really couldn't recall seeing women, least not many on the rings. Initially it was men, Dick to be more correct, but she was sure she had seen women at a time or two attached to rings. Shifted her eyes, perhaps they were the stronger type. She had perhaps had a try, but she really wasn't going to attest to that now, given she was stronger than she looked. Asking Dick if she perhaps putting rings and hoops together. Hoops she had certainly seen more women do and children for that matter. From the many times she had spent in special day care or the lovely children in hospitals. It was always a delight to help cheer up children in any shape or form. Kory rested on the fact that rings. Hoops, were both interesting to watch. Though the balance beam was something else entirely. Kory hadn't as frequently watched it, least in the past couple of months, but always enjoyed and would take her breath away a little. If of course she had a breath to take away… Putting it out there, if Charlotte was ok with it. She'd love to see Charlotte do her thing and she didn't doubt she could be upstaging her classmates. Who didn't like a little competition? Kory certainly did. You put a trained tamaranean warrior with a titan, your gonna get a competitor. Though suggested in kind, perhaps Charlotte and Dick could do a little practising sometime. Put he like minds together in the practise room. Maybe. Kory least knew Dick was far better than simply good at it, but how much could he play out before its weighing who's better Dick or Nightwing? Least for whom who may not know any better. Kory teased Dick's balance as if he may need the tips, of course she was kidding, playing off the few nights he had possibly scaled her buildings and got caught on a thorn bush. He of course tackled those bushes. With the car stopping now. She leant and pecked his cheek. To ensure he knew she was merely playing it down, if Dick needed to play down for Nightwing. That she was kidding. Teasing him again mentioning the tables, of course she really didn't need to elaborate on that. There was no denying it, she was like Nala to his Simba.
After the nice drive through the north of Gotham and arriving to their destination. They exited the car and made the little trip to the door. All Kory knew was from the signal and pretty much just pick up Charlotte. Somehow this was connected, but extreme alert. When Batman said extreme. Kory assumed this mean really extreme. Shifted a gaze here and there, really there couldn't be a chance they were followed. If there was, Kory could certainly show them the end of her fist or more. Asking Dick, he pretty much said what the signal had said, but the mentioning Selina was somewhat part of the target, was certainly news. Though why? or how? perhaps that was less important, than just the shear fact it happened, but if it was extreme, were they the only ones sent the signal?
"You mean Ra's? I got sent the signal, that's all I got… I didn't know he was even near here, but if it is extreme… Should we not alert the others?"
Perhaps it was a little 'he who must not be named' but then again, she said it low enough. Would Charlotte even know of…? Who knew? Kory certainly didn't, but undoubtedly there was a battle building being felt. If this was to become bigger and badder. As Kory mentioned she was sent the signal, but thats all she knew. Ra's and extreme alert. Walking closely, as she asked about the 'others'. Whether that just meant Outsiders or even Titans as well. They certainly had their own problems to deal with at this time, but if this extreme alert was seriously growing, then they might just need the numbers. Not just that, more power. If Ra's was as magical as Kory recalled, would it be that easy of a battle to win? If they could. If it was something they needed to.
"Greetings Alfred. It is so pleasant to see you… Could you please let Bruce or Selina know we have arrived?"
It was not a long wait at the door, in fact it was possible Alfred opened the door, before either one could present a knock. They were indeed expected. With Alfred warmly greeting them and kindly ushering them inside the house. There was a little sense of ease, knowing they had reached the destination. Safety for sure. For a moment it could almost feel cosy, but it really didn't take long to be reminded the mansion was massive. The ceilings so high, Kory could fly without hitting her head. Of course she wouldn't, there probably be someone shouting in fear she'd smash something. The vases were pretty, but come on… Kory warmly planted a sweet kiss on Alfred's cheek, he was utterly a pure heart. How could you not be drawn in? Perhaps it was him that truly could make this place feel safe and a little comforting. It certainly wouldn't be the same without him. Though when Kory has asked, assuming Bruce and Selina would already be here. Although then again she really didn't get much from the message, but Alfred then replied they were not here. At least not yet. Answers may have to wait a little longer… As Kory looked to Dick. To Charlotte. Not to worry as Kory smiled, they could make themselves at home. Even if that may mean they cannot put feet on couches.
"Oh! Well, in that case I'll go help Alfred in the kitchen. We can relax and make ourselves at home while we wait, I suppose… Hmmm, do you have any board games in this place? Maybe something like the hungry hippos?"
Kory responded, they might as well make the best of it as much as they can, despite hardly knowing what was going on and how much they could even tell Charlotte. Making themselves at home seemed the thing to do. As Kory offered, well more like volunteered to help Alfred, perhaps get them some snacks or beverages. How long this wait would be, Kory couldn't really be sure, but she was always happy to help Alfred in the kitchen, plus there was maybe a tinge that he may whisper her things, but she doubted it. Although she looked sincerely to Dick when kindly suggesting to make themselves at home, though it wasn't her home, looking to Dick for reassurance that was something they could do when Bruce was not here… It wasn't exactly that homely, but Kory sure they could make it feel somewhat homely for Charlotte. Comfortable at least. Put the question out there for a board game perhaps. Looked to Dick and Alfred, though there probably higher chances to find a chess board, but with such a massive place and knowing Bruce did have some form of collections. Maybe he did something remotely like the many hungry hippos. As Kory suggested motioning then to the kitchen, whether or not of course they wanted to come with her to the kitchen or find some comfort in a living room or any other room. Kory couldn't really say if she'd been in every room. She'd hardly be surprised if there was a bowling room or something just as lavish.

"I'm always willing to help out any one interested in the sport of gymnastics or acrobatics," Dick replied.
He looked to Kory on her comments of him needing possible tips as well. The look was more of just an action.
She was doing right by playing down his skill. Of course Dick Grayson was a skilled acrobat, but he still had to down it in a few levels to throw people off the trail.
As they walked to the main door and Dick had filled Kory in slightly on the situation, he listen. But the idea of getting more help for the situation...he tensed a bit.
His tone changing more to a stern touch of ice to it.
"This is more of a family matter. There's more history here and we don't need or want anyone else being put onto a hit list," he replied to Kory.
He wasn't trying to come off as cold. But he knew more than he was letting on about Ra's. And he wasn't going to saw. That was something kept between a student and mentor. Family. Sure Titans were family, but not at the level between Bruce, Babs, Tim and Alfred were.
Once in the Manor, he was back to his relaxed self.
"It's been a while, but there probably still some games around. Though we go have more game stations in the wreck lounge," Dick commented.
He wasn't sure if the girl preferred simpler games or video games. The least he could do was offer up the suggestion.

"Not really..." is the only answer that Charlotte's prepared to give about her desires to travel, at least to Kory. And she doesn't really feel the need to really respond to the rest of what the woman says. After all, Kory seems far, far more interested in talking with or about Dick at the moment. And like she feels the need to fill every silence with random chatter - Charlotte hates being talked at.
At least Dick himself is far more tolerable. And though she hesitates for a moment, she comments, "Well, if you want to..." She lets that trail off, though she actually is somewhat intrigued by the idea. Yes she has Selina and the instructors at her school, but she's got to figure that Dick has a different perspective if he was in the circus and that does sound interesting. She wouldn't begin to entertain the idea that she might be able to help him at all, though - she's still new at it, after all. And though there's some points where she already excels, it's mostly in comparison to others at her level and something innate that she wouldn't be able to teach anyone else.
Fortunately for both of them, Charlotte sees no need to listen in as they talk more quietly to each other - they obviously don't want her to hear, so she doesn't care to listen. Indeed, she's quite distracted by the mansion, at least until they start to talk about games and obviously want her opinion. "What kind of video games do you have?" she's very quick to ask when Dick mentions the game stations. She's not really played those much, but those would be way less lame and awkward than playing a board game - especially with people she just met. Because, seriously, who plays board games anymore? And Hungry Hippos? That's for little kids!

There really was a whole world out there. Just waiting. Always waiting. Not only a whole world, but whole worlds. Some waiting more than others. Some more dangerous than others. Some more magical. Peaceful. Variety and wide. With endless possibilities and the basic element of life. Whether it be by flight or her feet. Kory was surely a believer in freedom. A freedom in the world and the freedom within herself. Where once bound, there was very little that she would ever just allow to hold her back. There was lack of speech. Lack of communication, understandable given the circumstances. It did heed to much to Kory, not so much as if simply the girl just wasn't comfortable. For whatever reason. Perhaps it wasn't born here. This certainly seemed a human thing, but despite whatever animosity there was. Kory didn't feel any less than positive thoughts for Charlotte. Call it blind faith. Trust and there was no length she would go to protect Charlotte. Especially when she had given Selina her word. Hmmm, and faulted for random chatter, certainly seemed a least thing to be weakened by. For as random as her chatter could be. Her kindness was true, but in blink, when danger was thrust upon them. If the demon would show itself, Kory would not hold back and fight with every ounce of aggression.
"You certainly have the time to discover the world, if you want to. In most cases its the places I stumble upon, that offer the most…"
That really wasn't out of great wisdom, just shear truth. Positive kindness, as Kory simply responded. Because 'Not really' wasn't a 'never' and X'hal, maybe she did have dreams. Ambitions and perhaps they did lead her on a path she imagined and even a path she merely had to discover along the way. Sometimes humans cared to keep such things tighter to their chest, it was fine. Who knows maybe one day she would be on one mighty adventure, but it was her own life to discover. Kory simply smiled and spoke her mind. Her words were loose. Yet real… Meaning, that really needn't explaining.
"Indeed. Incredible. You got me doing some awesome cartwheels… Until of course you had to stop me… Talk about a wicked pinata!"
Kory added lightly to Dick always eager to help with gymnastics. Acrobatics. Or in general help people, Kory smiled simply. Then of course he wasn't just eager to help, he was good. Extremely good. She had seen it. Been apart of it on various occasions. Humbly throwing in there, Dick teaching her cart wheels. Showing a playful sincere grin. Fond real memories. Of course there probably more of a visual to the memory… Softly Kory laughed at roughly what happened later. Sometimes she had a habit of breaking things, than simply just bending them. Of course it wasn't a far stretch. Jesting in light about it as they had exited the car and walked the path to the door to the Mansion. Met of course with the frost in the air, the snow and overall gloomy day. Kory looked a little concerned when Dick tensed up at her words, his tone icy and his mild critic words. She kinda blinked at them, but she didn't understand them… Though hit list. Were they all on the hit list? That did concern her.
"I'm here. Does this mean Bruce considers me family, now? X'hal! I.. Wow… I understand. The risk. Ra's is extremely powerful, but if there is a hit list and if by chance we're both on it. Should we not be concerned about our friends in Gotham, from being associated with us? I'm sorry. I'm just worried about Roy and Kara! If you think they're better of not knowing, then I trust you. I always have. I always will."
Understandably blinked at that possible realisation, if it was indeed true. A little weird. As she asked Dick softly, though there was the faint hint of doubt in her voice, she never would really ever expected to be seen anything, let alone more in the Bats eyes, but it certainly wouldn't be the worse thing in world if she was. It did make her shiver a little bit, but needless to say she could only be sure that Dick was her family. That was why she was here and always would be. If not for him, why else would she be here? It probably be more like Alfred shunning her at the door, as unbelievable as that is… Her tone remained calm enough. Soft so not overheard, but the concern most certainly trickled in. Voicing her concern about the outsiders. Kara. Roy. Especially Roy, if Dick and Kory were on the hit list or even on the radar. Who's to say Roy wasn't? Wasn't the first time one would threaten the ones you love. Perhaps no he wasn't apart of the bat family, but he was their friend. Family. The value for his life was level in Kory's mind. Perhaps she was jumping the gun in thinking he could be ambushed somehow if at least not aware. She was certainly just as concerned for the Titans, particularly the younger, but they did have value in numbers. There was little getting in that tower, without them realising it first. Perhaps she was a little overcome with the emotions, as she apologised, he clearly knew more than her. Perhaps the bat family knew more about what was actually happening. If Dick said they were safer not knowing, then Kory would trust in his words. He valued their friends just as she did. Smiled more reassured. Perhaps they wouldn't even know about their friends, although assassins. Somehow Kory couldn't believe that. It wasn't like Roy had. They had dealt with them in the past.
Kory then left the two for the time being as she followed Alfred to the kitchen. To help. To reflect, who knows. Board games. Video games, so long as they were happy it didn't matter. Smiled simply. With titans they had vastly enjoyed and shared both. Then thats what friends do, enjoy time spent together. Doing harmless fun and on occasion slightly more dangerous. Walking the long hall through a fancy looking door and eventually the kitchen. Very nice kitchen. Rows and rows of cupboards. Grabbing at a small apron and it wasn't long until Alfred put her to work.

Dick could tell that Charlotte wasn't all that interested in what Kory was saying. That was a given from her expressions.
"Well we can talk with Selina at some point to set up the chance to do some training. Then again, Bruce does have a Olympic style training center in this place," Dick commented.
He wasn't trying to rub in the fact that Bruce was rich and of course he could afford to have such a thing in his home. If it weren't for Dick being there, Bruce might not have ever thought to really put on in.
Bruce had his own personal gym for working out. The rest of the family could use it as well, but the gymnastics were more fitting for his sons. It had helped Dick feel more at home with his training when he had first come to the place.
Dick could relate to Charlotte on her feelings over the place. He hadn't been overly impressed when he had first come to the rich and overloaded mansion. It was more like a museum. Well it was impressive, but it could almost seem boastful at points.
At Kory's words, Dick wasn't exactly sure how to address the situation. He was still a bit on the outside of the loop of information going on between Selina and Bruce.
"In a way, I'm sure he does. Though when it come to this 'hit list', I think Ra's is targeting those closest to Bruce. I hate to say it, but in a way I am glad that Ra's doesn't like to waste his time on targets that would be no more than a minor threat. I think for now, it would be wiser to keep the team out of this. We don't need to pull them in. It would only cause more reason for him to consider having a hit on them to keep them out of the way. Unless Bruce says otherwise, we need to keep this down to the minimum," Dick replied.
As they got into the mansion, Dick led them toward the main living room. The one for the sights of visitor, but it was more or less the place all the boys used to migrate to after school to relax, watch tv or play video games.
That was if they could by pass Alfred on the subject of homework. Which wasn't likely unless they actually had no homework.
"I'd image Tim has the more recent releases of the action and adventure games," Dick replied.

"He does?" Charlotte questions in surprise at the idea of a whole training center in the mansion. Well, yes, the place looks big enough, and she's sure he has enough money, but why? Even if Dick grew up here and is an acrobat - who needs their very own training center? Is he too good to associate with other people when he's training? It's ridiculous and disgusting!
Of course, she has her reasons to feel that way about it. She spent her childhood in a family that was just scraping by, and though living with Selina is - gradually - teaching her that having nice things is, well, nice, she's nowhere near close enough to thinking for one second that your very own Olympic style training center isn't extremely excessive. Rich people... ugh...
Following Dick's lead into the living room, she sets her backpack down by the couch as she forces her brain to stop the mental commentary on the size of everything so that she can make the most of the situation - she has no idea how long it will be until she's reunited with Selina, and it's probably best for her to distract herself from that fact. And though she does have homework she could be doing, she's not going to touch it unless someone makes her. Especially since that's not likely to distract her from worrying very much.
"I'll look," she says, heading over to the collection of video games to browse through them. But she's not necessarily a fan of action adventure games, and she couldn't care less about how new they are. Yet as she looks through them, her eyes happen upon one that makes her grin. It's a new version of a fighting game she used to play a lot a few years ago. Picking it off the shelf, she shows it to Dick. "How about this one? It's multiplayer..." she asks, figuring that it'd be a good choice.

"So did you have anything in mind you wanted us to cook, Miss Anders?" Alfred offered and asked, seeing as Kory made the point to follow him to the kitchen. To help of course.
"Hotdogs."
Kory simply remarked as it quickly came to mind. Whether simple craving or just simple desire to make them, perhaps it was both. It wasn't long at all before Kory was preparing the meat to help make the hotdog links. Of course there was also the vegetarian variety, you never know when one didn't eat meat and well even she liked the vegetarian kind. With of course simple and kind banter happening between. Often just bantering about Dick, because lets face it he was quite the subject and familiar. Not that there was a lot of amusing tales being share, but defiantly laughter did come. Echoed perhaps slightly through the door, along with the sublet aroma. Yep, these hotdogs were gonna be ideal. Whilst of course still being what they were meant to be. Good comfort food, just with that comfort knowing it wasn't from pigs feed or some weird body part. After she sat the titans down and watch that documentary about such ordeals, certainly left its mark… Not completely ruining the appetite of course. That was almost impossible… Soon after making the numerous links of hotdogs, they got them cooking. Whilst in the meantime waiting. They pulled out two large plates and got various toppings for the hotdogs. Not to excessive, but enough. Setting them on one of the plate. Along with bread rolls and a simple salad. Just under 45 minutes, a little taste testing, they were good to go with lunch and beverages…
"Lunch is served!"
"Indeed! I hope it isn't too much?"
Kory added bubbly shortly behind Alfred as they entered the lounge, with her arms carting her fair share of the plates. Perhaps this was more than enough for three as she looked to them innocently with the glow of her cheeks, but potentially Bruce and Selina was coming back at anytime. Who really could weigh the stomachs right now. All the tamaranean could do was try. Call it a spur. As the plates were gracefully laid out on one of the coffee tables. It could almost call for a flash style spread, well almost. This was rather amateur in that regard. Kory greeted with a friendly smile. Hmmm, but least she could put the left overs somewhere. Maybe.
"Of course if there is something else you'd prefer… I'm sure we have the utensils for that as well… And, would you both like any kind of beverage?"
Kory remark in kind with a simple smile and slight gleam behind her glasses. Certainly wasn't going to pass the chances to spin things out in the kitchen, especially with Alfred's aid… There was certainly a lot to learn. Although with the hotdogs. Salad and potato chips. She was sure she had comfort food, healthy food and simple food covered. To some degree. Of kindly before kindly asking about any kind of beverage. Apart from the jug of water. Kory's eyes flashed over the video game in Charlotte's hand. Yeah, there was certainly that vibe like the tower happening, but in Bruce's house. There was certainly someone somewhere saying, Twist.
"What game did you pick there?"
Kory asked with kind curiosity with the game in hand. She couldn't say she was top notch in most video games, but certainly wasn't entire new to them. Especially time spent under a roof with boys that not only play video games, but more than questionable they made there own.

"Yeah," Dick responded, he tone showing that it was no big deal considering he had grown up there.
Of course he wasn't overly impressed by it. More the fact that Bruce had the money to do such things was known to him. Charlotte seemed a bit annoyed by this. It wasn't hard for him to pick up on that.
He laid off the subject of the manor was much as he could. The reaction showed some distaste for the way the rich lived. And right now, he was sure he wasn't putting himself in a good light with her any more.
As Kory went off to help Alfred in the kitchen, Dick led the way to the living-room. This was the one toward the back. They had different locations compared to entertaining the social elite of Gotham and the living quarters of the family. Everything of course kept in order thanks to Alfred.
Dick took a seat on the couch that lay adjacent to the large screen that hung on the wall. A large fireplace set off to the left of them with a portrait hanging above it of the 'family'. At least with Dick, Tim, Bruce, Alfred, and large black Great Dane, Ace.
"A multiplayer is always good," Dick commented as he got up and started to set up the game system from the cabinet that sat below the hanging screen.
It was then that Kory and Alfred walked in with a large tray of food. The smell of hotdogs filled the room as they came in.
"I think this will be more than enough," Dick said as he walked over to assist her with the tray. Generally offering to take it from her to set it over on the table to give her the chance to relax.
"I'll get it then, thanks Kor," Dick replied.

When Dick agrees to the game, Charlotte can't help but smile to herself about it, but she just stands back and lets him start setting up the system. She could probably figure out, but it seems like everyone TV is different and has different particulars that need to be just right in order for it to work right, and she'll let someone who knows figure that all out for her. Especially since the TV looks especially complicated.
It's then that Kory shows up with the hotdogs, and the teen immediately has to suppress a groan. Not that she doesn't like hotdogs - she loves hotdogs, actually. Letting Dick go help Kory, she turns her attention to the video game system without comment and finishes tweaking it - she'd seen what Dick was doing and figures that she can quickly finish it herself. And she's right, because just as Kory's asking her about the game, the system proves that it's connected properly by displaying the logo on the screen. So instead of answering, Charlotte simply takes the disc out of the case and pops it in so that the game starts to load - announcing itself for her.
That done, she turns back and asks, "So are we going to eat before we play? Or eat while we play?" She herself doesn't have much of a preference because the pros and cons of that roughly even out. If they eat first, that delays being able to play, but it's a lot easier than attempting to do two tasks requiring you hands at once. On the other hand, if they eat while they play then they can start on both at once and be way more casual about it. And if someone lets the food distract them during a match then they'd be easy to smash. "And are you going to play too, Kory?" she asks as her attention turns to the last item of setup - the controllers. Is she going to need to pull out two or three?

Comfort food. Such a thing was rather different on her planet, sadly missed by some standards. At this point Kory had become quite accustom to all the things this world has to offer. Mind blowing just how much she had discovered and yet to discover. Greeting Dick and Charlotte now in the living room. With ceilings so high and a room so filled with fancy materials. It certainly could do with that little added comfort feeling. Even more so with the wintery weather. Approaching the coffee table and met with Dick happy to help. Kory smiled happily in gratitude. Whilst she then arranged the varies plates. The three kinds of dogs and the many many toppings. She was already feeling her taste buds salivating.
"Gratitudes… We've got regular. We've got vegetarian and cajun hotdogs. Because I know how you like things a little hot, Dick… Of course all kinds of toppings… From coleslaw, to salsa, cheese, potato chips, onions, mustard and so on"
Kory delightedly pointed out the different hot dogs. Regular, the classic. Vegetarian, because you can never know especially after living with Gar, but also quite delicious. Then of course the cajun as Kory pointed to, a little hotter, not crazy hot, but enough if one wanted the extra heat. Looking to Dick a little knowingly. Before of course Kory made a little point at all the toppings on the table. A lot of toppings. As she pointed to some, but certainly more so hopefully there be something for somebody. Already building hers in my mind right now. Though perhaps her choice really wouldn't be all that crazy. Kory then put out the empty plates, pausing momentarily at Charlotte's words. Eat before or during?
"I don't see why we can't eat and play, I'm sure there be in between moments or we can always pause the game. Just go as we like… Does that suit everyone? Oooh, Mortal Kombat. I've not played this version yet, but Vic and Gar certainly have enjoyed it."
Perhaps it would be easier to eat first. Kory really isn't too bothered if they do either way, but she opted to suggested whilst they play. With setting up and pausing in between games if need be. They can go as they please with this. Despite the controllers getting a little messy, it wasn't completely undoable. Yes, certainly could throw someone off, but that was hardly Kory's reason. Then again she could be quite the competitor… Kory offered a simple smile, before she eyed the logo of the game pop on the screen. One of the latest fighting games. She hadn't gotten to play this one yet, though had seen it. Not just Mortal Kombat it seemed, super heroes and villains. Yes, she noted the familiar faces, without much give away. Mentioning Vic and Gar, should it really be surprising they'd hog the console. At Dick's words on the drinks, she assumes… She takes a seat on the sofa. Pulling for a plate, to build her hot dog… Though as she thinks about the beverages, she decides on something a little more sweeter and stopping Dick or Alfred momentarily.
"Actually, you know what! I would love a hot chocolate, please…? Triple the chocolate, with a nice touch of cayenne pepper and extra marshmallows. Best hot chocolate I have ever had… Would you also like one, Charlotte?"
Curiously and kindly Kory asked… That was the best way she could describe the hot chocolate she has had in this place. Maybe even at home with Dick caring to replicate it. Which was better Alfred's or Dick's? That was another thing entirely. Either way delicious. Hot and extra sweet, was generally fitting. Before asking if Charlotte would also care for a hot chocolate. Otherwise of course there be water and varies sodas. Ice tea. In this place, most likely everything. There was probably a back up fridge and a back up for the back up fridge.
"Of course, I can tag on one of your teams or I can challenge the winner…"
Kory answered Charlotte in kind. The game could be two characters against two. One player could control both characters or two players could control each on that team. That probably work easily. Or She could play winner if they wanted to keep it one on one. One on two, maybe a little outnumbered, unless they roped in Alfred. Then he might kick all their asses. Kory thought amusingly, before she pondered which character she'd play. That she had to ponder. Go with some familiar, she wasn't so sure she was even a featured character. Certainly she wouldn't pick a villain, but superhero? Or one of the Kombat folk? If there was reptile, maybe him. Kory motioned for a hot dog bun and put a hot dog in. Though put to a side as she noted there was no fire?
"Oh… I'll go start us up a fire!"
Kory mentioned briefly as she got to her feet, suggesting she wasn't going far and would return shortly. Motioning to the back of the room towards the open fireplace. She might as well make it extra cozy there was no telling how long they were gonna wait. Walking over to the piles of wood. Nice lump sized, but it was rather like picking up twigs for her. Kneeling down at the fireplace and began to stack them up. A decent stack. Kory took pass on Alfred offering to light it. This she could handle. With her back hiding most of it. Certainly there be little alarm raised, only merely thinking she was really good at lighting fires. Holding out her golden hand a few good inches. Projected her starbolts out with precision, until it just enough to create that spark. A purple, pinkish spark, but it soon faded into the orange flames one is so used to. Radiating already quite a nice warmth. With a little fire guard, Kory stepped back and motioned back over to the sofa.
