Mizz Stone sat upon the back of her horse, Vassago, as she rode about West Gotham. She had just finished moving into the apartment of her club. She had the whole building, five stories. She lived on the fifth story, her club would be on the first two stories, the third and fourth stories have yet to be determined. She had a decent garage under the building. She had a stable built ahead of time behind the property for Vassago. Her dog Governor was back at home running about and doing dog stuff.
The saddle was made in Spain and was of the finest quality money could buy. Her boots nearly matched the saddle's black leather and silver threading. Her hat always tended to cast shade over her eyes well enough that her eye patch was not usually immediately visible. Under each arm she was packing a Desert Eagle and on her right hip was a Winchester Colt .45, the world's most powerful handgun. She usually rode with a shotgun on her back, but being that this was her first ride in the city she decided to conceal it on the back of her saddle, rolled up in a pack. She didn't exactly know of any laws in this city that forbade horseback riding within city limits, but she didn't really give a damn either way.
It was not surprising that she got many interested looks. Kids seemed to be the most fascinated by her and Vassago. Gothamites in general seemed to find it a bit odd, but they've seen stranger. She would nod to people and say things like "Howdy!" "How do?" and "Mornin'." Some people tended to ignore her while others seemed pleasantly surprised. Texans were quite known for their tendency to greet complete strangers.
She wasn't having a lot of problems navigating around vehicles on the road. She used the cross walks just like everyone else. She just wanted to ride through the city this evening and get a feel for the people and what they were up to.

The evening was approaching. Approaching nearer and nearer, but already in the early hours there was trouble about to be made. Planned. A massive kidnapping from the orphanages as so the Outsiders had tracked, The Orphanages in and around Gotham. With the hit being more or less well spread, they had split. To take station and to cover more widely. There were certainly clues, but as to which Orphanages exactly or why, wasn't entirely lea at this point. Starfire was positioned to stop the kidnapping from the orphanages in and close to the West. There was at least three and Starfire certainly took a spit stop at the first two. Checking. Double checking, without of course freaking them all out, but after what seemed a good hour, they were safe… At least for now. On towards Starfire left for the other orphanage. Hidden, but within view of below from where Starfire flew up in the sky. First staking out any movements. It really wasn't long after that Starfire did spot movements. Not just any movements. As suddenly a white van came skidding out from a covered garage. The tamaranean wasn't gifted with super hearing, but she could hear the faint innocent cries. Least to her it was screams of children. The kidnapping was on and most of all the chase was on now. Starfire radioed in to Arsenal to give the 101, but so far she didn't feel she needed back up… Oh no. Starfire was sure she had the back up she needed right here. With her mildly glowing hands, but as the tamaranean took on the chase. A few spaces behind. Almost losing view from the surrounding trees, but caught better view once it had taken around a bend and on to a more busy road. This was maybe gonna be tricky without potentially blowing up everyone else.
With a little added pump in her speed. She certainly was no flash. She wasn't really much of a superwoman, but she had decent amount of speed. Starfire was after all made up of energy from the inside out. Right now her target was to stop the van. Stop the van and rescue the children. It was something that could pull at the heart strings of many. Such innocent life. The aggression swirled and built. With eye glowing green. Fiery hair sparked a lengthy trail through the streets down in the west. Her golden body encased in her infamous purple suit. Pulling up closer, a few car lengths behind and still in the air. Starfire struck out a bolt, aiming for the a tyre. She knew she'd have to play this carefully. Not only to blow everything up, but not also blow up the children she was trying to save. The driver seemed to pick her reflection. Picked up her trail as it dodged and the glowing pink ball of energy merely scraped the side of the van and a passing car. Knocking off merely a mirror. As it bounced somewhere beside her. Now the driver swerved between lanes, trying to manoeuvre out of Starfire's range and in the process cars from the opposite direction was either hit or swerved off the road. Starfire aimed more starbolts, with more determined aim, but it seemed this van had more speed in its arsenal… For a moment it seemed it was gonna escape, but oh no. You really think Starfire didn't know how to play a little rough. As with a little clenching of her fist. Unknowingly at the time, the van was heading down a road that perhaps had a woman on a horse in its wake… Starfire set up to the sky in a blaze like a star. Picking up speed enough to over take this van, the driver really didn't seem to care at all now for the many cars it was about to collide with… In a moment the tamaranean was not there and then suddenly she was. Purple boots fell to the ground and the van was left to collide with Starfire's mighty strength and energy. With golden arms pushed through the motor and the mechanics of the van. It certainly was something that Starfire felt, even though she was stronger than she looked. Now her glowing eyes and the aggression on her face looked to the driver. Whom may have gotten a little bumped in that accident, but he would survive.
There was of course something more important right. Despite the on lookers and perhaps there were cars behind or even ahead that had suddenly stopped. Starfire's eyes didn't look to them. She looked to the back of the van. There was the louder. More closer sound of the children screaming. The cries. Enough to drive anyone right now. As Starfire did not linger and flew from the front of the Van to the back. In one haste and yanked the door off with her bare hands. Which fell a few feet behind… Though as Starfire's eyes turned to see inside the back. The tamaranean froze. A trembling shake to her head. How had this had happened?
"X'hal!"
Was as simply said from her lips in the surprise there was no one inside. Starfire stepped back, but it wasn't enough… As soon as she had the van exploded. It wasn't a blaze that would kill her or ultimately hurt her badly, but it sure was enough to throw the Tamaranean back a few paces backwards. Catching herself a little as she fell on her behind, her hands to the asphalt and ash, dust covered partially her skin. Suit. Hair… A fist clenched beside her. As she looked on towards the now burning van, lucky it was a contained explosion that it more unlikely didn't blow anyone else up, apart from the driver perhaps… Though how had they been trick… How had she been tricked? It was a decoy van most likely. As Starfire lingered on the ground, pulled for the outsider device and radioed Arsenal…

"Woah, Vassago."
Rooster saw a van rampaging down the road a ways heading toward her. She got out of the way, but before it even passed she started heading after it. She got her shotgun out when she saw Starfire chasing after it. If a superhero was going after a van then somethin' was up.
Finally it got stopped and Rooster was riding up, though Vassago reared up at the explosion. She ran a hand down his mane and tugged at his reins gently to calm him.
"Woah, there, calm on down, hombre. "
The horse took a minute to calm down, but once he did she called over to Starfire, shotgun pointed down to the ground and the safety on.
"What's goin' down, sug? You got trouble because I got solutions."
Rooster always loved a good run down. Vassago huffed at the ready.

There was no response on the other end at first. Of course with the threat wide spread it was bound to be getting a little conflicting now just down here in the west. Least Starfire was abled enough to get through to the Outsiders. To Arsenal. Signally she may need back-up… Because right now as the tamaranean laid on the rough turf and eyes upon the now burning shell of the van. Thank X'hal that there were no children, but if they were not here… If this was decoy… Where the hell were they? As the anger, the frustration and just shear questions written on Starfire's face. Her heavy fist beside her, though there was so little down possibly in smoke, she was bound to stop this… At any cost. As her heart wildly thudded, she did not heed to surroundings, at least perhaps an eye out for any clue as to where the children were, but a shock. It sort of stood still momentarily, but there was no just sitting this out… Finally she did heed to it and looked to the sounds of hooves.
Horses in the city? Starfire questioned though, that wasn't complete unseen least in New York, but it was either attached with police or a cart ride. Though a cowgirl… Was certainly least expected. As the tamaranean princess blinked for a moment. As it seemed all to happen so shiftily. Dropping her outsider device that was attached to her suit. Perhaps she did have back up… Maybe… As the cowgirl approached. Gun in hand, although not directed at her, not that it would have really struck her accordingly. Perhaps she was a cop, a cowgirl cop? Who ever or what ever…. She did offer assistance… And called her Sug… Starfire was sure she was lost on that one, whether it was complimentary or possibly an insult…
"No, I'm Starfire!"
With a mild shake of her head and stated who she was. As quickly then Starfire got to her feet. With a mild brush off her skin. Her gaze returned again to the van. What clue was there? Other than she had clearly been fooled. The tamaranean walked over it. Fingers played the ash. The dust just inched from what flames still burnt and of course not long were there gonna be sounds of the fire brigade or even the police. Starfire frowned and let the heaviness of her fist fall on the back of the burning van.
"They were tipped off, that's what happened… I let them fool me and now the children could be suffering for it or anywhere for that matter… All that innocence… Though, I hardly no where to start, they will be found… They must be saved… With all the directions… We could use aid, if you are willing… I'm sorry I do not know your name… Do you know how to track?"
Starfire stated firmly angered, least the hunch was who ever was attached to this, least in the west was tipped off… Tipped off enough to use a decoy. To create a chase, a way from the real one. Perhaps Starfire had acted to impulsively, but it was too late to change that… Not when there was still a rescue. It had halted, it could be anywhere now, but it wasn't hopeless. No, never. Whether she was alone in this or not, Starfire would ultimately turn up every rock she could. To find them…. With the determination in her voice. Her fist drove through the burning van. Potentially flipping it over… With an intense glow of her hands. The fiery burning of her hair. Burning aggressive passion written on her face. Turned to the mystery cowgirl. Stated they must be saved… Even though they were literally at square one in clues, the orphanage least was the starting point. Starfire could certainly scout from above, but that be trying to find a pin in a hay stack… Though this was evidently a fight for the Outsiders and one wouldn't want to drag someone in not prepared… Looking at the cowgirl, perhaps she was. At this point the aid could defiantly pay off and perhaps if this mysterious woman could track. That certainly be a start.

"Say no more, Miss Fire."
Rooster placed her index and middle finger near her mouth and pressed them just inside her lips, letting out a very loud and bright whistle. Within about thirty seconds a giant English Mastiff was hurtling toward them. Once he got there he panted at the ready.
"C'mon, Governor, get in there and have a gander."
She pointed to the van and the dog jumped into it at her command. He began sniffing around, eventually catching the scent of a bandana that had been abandoned by one of the crooks who set it all up. He barked and began to take off, Rooster began to follow and hollared back to Starfire.
"C'mon, his nose is hot, must be close. Let's go."
Rooster gave Vassago a littel squeeze with her heels to urge him to follow Governor. Every few seconds or so Governor would bark to keep them aware of his location. Many citizens were quick to get out of the dog's way. Someone even yelled about putting him on a leash, Rooster just waved off their ignorance. Governor was the perfect dog. He needed no lease because he knew at the end of the day the lady who was going to give him a big fat bone with a steak attached to it was Rooster.

With curiosity at a bound, when the cowgirl lady spoke. Hmmm, with such assertiveness. Confidence. She was certainly sounding leader like. Police like, only perhaps a little more funky. Casual in her attire. Fun, although perhaps she was a hero… Starfire could almost scratch her head if it was a costume, but something from the tongue. The vibe, rang legit. X'hal, perhaps that was the point. This was hardly important, the fact this lady was ready to put her hand up and get a little down to work. That certainly said more than her clothes. Noting, she could so much see this woman's eyes, but there was some inch of softness in her lips. She was on the better side? The tamaranean stepped shortly from the van, she possibly just made even more damaged than it was partially on fire. With no children, this was more than just a rescue mission. The search had just doubled. Starfire was gifted. Had such power, she could wipe out Gotham City, but she was still singular. One figure, she could try and try she might, but back up was good. Two was always better than one…
"X'hal…"
Scratch that, maybe three… Starfire had stepped a little closer, before halting on the spot. When the cowgirl lady motioned at her fingers to her mouth. Took a mighty puff, Starfire had to admit. Out came a loud whistle. Calling someone? Something? The tamaranean couldn't be sure, until of course down came, possibly out of no where. A dog… Surprisingly this hadn't been the first time, the titan had seen a dog help to win the battle. Although clearly, this dog wasn't green… If he were, Starfire would have to ask when Gar had become friends with the cowgirl lady… A half curled smile came to her lips, well, still a cute puppy… Dog… She couldn't say she knew what kind, but he certainly had size to him. Brushed exit ash from her golden arm as Starfire follow the command. The dog… Ah, was that safe? As even looking at the partially burning van, one could see the reflection in Starfire's green eyes.
"Wow… He's really something. Governor is his name? You sure that is safe…"
Placing her golden hands on her just as golden bare hips. Looking on as Starfire remarked as she watched. It was sad the animals couldn't talk unlike on Tamaran or suppose like Gar. Certainly made things fun, but Earth animals really were adorable. Even with their own little languages. Peaking up an eye as she more kindly asked his name. Least from what she heard the cowgirl lady say, his name was Governor? Cute name. Strong. Clever… Starfire smiled, though it slightly faded as she was about to ask about the safety, but it seemed he was brave. Smart, as soon, thank X'hal he hadn't gotten himself hurt… Hmmm, no… He found evidence. See, this is probably why Nightwing was the more craftier one. He would have looked in the van… From the looks now, although given this decoy, who could really say, but one could certainly hope it would lead to victory. Victory for them.
"Impressive… Certainly lets us go… We got children to save…. What is your name, if you don't mind me asking?"
Most defiantly Starfire was impressed. Being tamaranean she also had a better sense in smell than humans. Perhaps, maybe not like a dog. As she could try to sniff, but the first thing that hit right now, was ash… Smoke. Ugh… Either way, they had a chase now. A game plan in motion. Starfire brought her fist to her chest, as if in some heroic gesture. Their odds you would think be higher. With a warrior and a cowgirl, not forgetting the two animals. This could be quite the teaming… Starfire launched from the spot, moments as the fire brigade swirled around nearing corners somewhere behind. Least the burning van was dealt with. The tamaranean princess could push on. Flew with speed. Tailing shortly behind, until she was more levelled at the side. Asking for the cowgirl lady's name, if she was willing to give it. It certainly would aid if Starfire needed to call upon her. Starfire motioned out a free hand, to shake. Although, perhaps that was unwise as the cowgirl lady was on her horse. Heading down the street. With no telling how long the real kidnapping had taken, there was no telling how far behind they were…. Starfire then flew up higher. With granting height, she could cover more with her sight…. Right now they were headed into more coming traffic, nothing stood out at first. Some vans, here and there, but if they did take another van. It could be any of them at this point, but Starfire wasn't giving up in her search. In this rescue.

"Governor's'th'meanest sonnabitch in this town, I guarantee it."
After Governor picked up the scent and took off with Rooster Following, she kept her gun out and her eye sharp. She had to pay more attention to things on her left side than most due to the fact she had a patch over her left eye. As Governor came up to oncoming traffic he was smart enough not to get himself run over. A lady on a horse was enough notice for people to stop. If they had any problems beyond that a shot gun blast in the air usually got their attention.
Within minutes Governor led them up to a building and turned to Rooster. He was smart, once again, and knew not to just start barking. Rooster pulled something from her coat pocket and tossed it to him, he chomped down on the treat fast and then stood at the ready before the warehouse garage door. She signaled to Starfire and once the girl was nearby she turned her attention to the garage door.
"My name is Rooster."

There certainly was no question about it. As Starfire watched Governor do his thing. Her concerns were more or less reassured. Pet were certainly something else on this planet. The tamaranean could smile at the cowgirl lady's words. Near warm laugh at the chosen words, well she certainly was the outspoken kind. Didn't hold back? Spoke her mind? Starfire could possibly relate, but who in the worlds was Starfire to just assume. With no lingering now. The chase was on. The rescue was on and Starfire flew in accordance. Not far behind. You never really knew with this city, nor the surprises that could jump out, but there was less chances of an attack. When they were the ones on the pursuit. Leaving the burning van behind with the fire brigade. The tamaranean princess flew a little over ahead. A good enough feet, she could see in near and far distance. Not losing sight of the horse. The woman. Nor the dog. There was seriously something to be said about this group, perhaps it would legendary…
After some swerves in the air, around some corners and mindfully heading towards a little more heavy traffic, but not enough that it seemed to hinder their chase. Keep her eyes out for any sign or anything, but the city was naturally dark and gloomy. Even the rats could be questionable… Though just as the tamaranean's eyes caught sight of shadows in an alley. She caught the lady signalling to her. Taking a dive through the misty cool air. Swooping around some street trees and floated some feet away. Green eyes glowed, looking at the current location it seemed Governor had led them too. Was this it? This was either the last stop or another clue in their chase. There was really only one way to find out and Starfire wasn't much one for hesitating. With what inches there was left, Starfire made the reach and her feet came to the ground. A shift in her lips to a smile as finally the cowgirl had a name. Out stretched her otherwise firm golden hand.
"It is an honour to meet you, Rooster! Now lets find these goons!"
Starfire said assuredly and comfortably. Perhaps not in the honour that Starfire knew of Rooster, but she knew it was an honour nonetheless, especially if they were partners at least for this night. Was that not an honour? Dropping her hand to a near fist. Together they could solve this puzzle and save lives… First things first. As Starfire motioned at the door. There was any number of things that could be on the side. Somehow the children being there, seemed possible wishful thinking. Then perhaps on occasion somethings could be that easy… One things for sure it was locked. As her hands fell upon the door. Perhaps with her strength she could have lifted it and then some, but that could open to some cons… As instead Starfire stepped back a bit, assuming Rooster. Governor would do the same. Before aiming a hand out in front. With her mind rather focused. Starfire shot out a flow of starbolts. Creating a fiery circle in the door and creating a door all of her own.

"Hmm, I like that trick" Rooster said as the girl burned the garage door to a crisp. On the other side were a few dozen kids all gagged and tied and about five men around them. They drew their guns and began firing at the sight of the other two.
Rooster just smiled and tipped her hat to the kids before Vassago burst forward and then off to the right while Rooster began taking shots at the men. She was shooting at their hands and disarming them by injuring her hands. She was doing her best not to scar the children's minds too much, and of course also avoiding them. Governor, the smart dog he was barked and moved forward toward the kids. For a moment they all look terrified of him, but soon the dog was clamping down on their binds and doing his best to get them worked off. Once he got one loose that one started quietly helping the others around her.
Rooster saw it out of the corner of her eye and winked to the kid to give her a little reassurance.

The tamaranean princess stood her ground. Her purple boots firmly planted. As the energy that filled her body came projecting out of her golden hand. The blast of her starbolt came out strong and precise. Creating a circle. A gate way. Literally burning the garage door into a crisp, well mostly. As the edged remained, though dangled holding on to dear life, but not even remotely on the level as the innocent lives gagged and tied on the other side. Muffled, but it didn't stop the cries from being heard. The whimper that carried through the darkened garage with the dim sway of lights. Flickering. Creating the extra gloom and danger. Only added by the thin layer of wintery weather. Only Starfire did not feel it. Her body was a heated and ready for action. As the door crumbled added just a thin layer of smoke. Ash perhaps. Catching the words from her companion for the night. A complimentary set of words.
"Gratitudes…. I like your gun!"
Extended her thank-you to the suave lady in the dark brimmed hat. With just the wrists of golden locks swaying in the breeze. Certainly was a good companion. As Starfire peaked with her bright green eyes, before trailing with the compliment of Miss Rooster's gun. Or guns, though from this angle Starfire only saw one. Either way was a nice weapon. It would indeed make her an even better companion… Though something certainly did ponder how good was this lady's aim? As the whimpers grew up a couple notches as soon the smoke cleared enough their figures were more than seen. Starfire's attention quickly drew to what was most important right now. Rescuing the children. If all is set out well tonight, perhaps no life would be taken, least not any of the innocent. Just where they had planned to take them, Starfire didn't really want to imagine and deep down she hardly needed to. She had been to places where the innocent are taken. Now was not a time to let down her guard. The men that surrounded the children began then to open fire. A bullet grazed her shoulder, but whatever mark it made disappeared. A man's voice rose deep and loud through the space. "How in the hell did you find us? You cannot stop us." The question was generic. Going down the line of who are you and what did you want. Of course most of that was pretty clear. Perhaps they had assumed they had slipped under the radar. Hiding out in a run down little garage, building, but no matter the reason. They were here now. As Starfire rose from her feet. There was certainly something in his voice, 'you cannot stop us' that suggested they were not the only ones to stop this night. However many there could and will be, it wouldn't stop the rescue. It really only fed into Starfire's determination.
"We will stop you!"
Not much more needed to be said, no it was past talking. Action needed to be made, whether it be five or there be hundreds more to stop, Starfire held no doubt in her voice. Nor in her heart. The mission. The need was as clear as day. As she rose in the air. With the glow of her eyes and the heat at her hands. She was more than someone that brought a challenge and it was seen on the faces of the men. Where Koriand'r could be so open and inviting. So kind and sweet. So lovely, she could also bite back. Be little more than over protective, right now protecting and fighting back was just what she would bring. That and more. As the gun fire came, the instinct to shoot her, of course. The tamaranean dodge many of the stray bullets as she dived around them. With quick sharp starbolt was abled to knock a gun out of a man's hand, much to his joy. As soon followed the fiery Hero coming towards him. Another gulf of a starbolt, strong enough to knock him of his feet, but not to kill him. Though whether they deserved it was another thing entirely. How low did you really have to get? To target the innocent, not mention those far more vulnerable and weak. Filled with such hope and dreams. Such life. Behind came hit, a punch. Only it didn't so much hurt her, than it hurt the man's hand pretty bad. With the sound of a scream and mild crack, perhaps of bone. She was no woman of steel, but well. Starfire was stronger than she looked. She could be truly powerful. Almost nearing Superman, only it didn't matter what kind of sun, her powers churned around inside her. With one swift turn on her heal, Starfire drove a hard fist in the man's gut. Enough to topple him over and send him back a few paces along the floor.
Starfire momentarily glanced to the children. To seek to rescue them, but it seemed there was really a trio happening. Governor helping at the ropes. Relieving the children that they were going to be rescued. Saved. That the torment would end. The van in the middle, certainly hindered some of the view of the violence, but somethings were probably unavoidable. Though some children were getting untied, there several more. Each one just as important as the next. Thankfully with Rooster by Starfire's side taking up some of the gunfire, they were on the winning side. Closing in on the save. As soon two men grew bold. Coming at Starfire at both sides. Being two certainly gave them a little advantage, but she still had strength double. Heck double, triple even that, but what happened certainly stopped her momentarily. As Starfire wrestled with the two goons trying to out do her. A man had grabbed at one of the children. A boy perhaps not even six. Brown soft eyes and fair blonde hair. Tear strained cheeks and the fear was evident. Muffled, but one could feel his lungs had certainly screamed. He would if he could. As a gun was placed at his temple. Starfire's eyes grew brighter if they could and the shear anger rippling through her gold flesh. Building up of energy. Of power in her body. Though she was power. Heck super. This certainly wasn't something she could just gamble with, even if she was more one to go by instinct. She had been trained, started at about this boy's age, perhaps even younger. The training naturally would become instinct. Being away from it could strain it a little, but it would always be there. Starfire's fists shoved at the two trying to manhandle her. Their attempts to stop her. Until after the efforts, she just grew in her energy, with shear strength and perhaps a good twist with her arms tossed them through the air. Flinging them back. Before she could manage to attempt to unleash a starbolt to stop the man before he could pull the trigger or perhaps someone else may have beaten her to the punch.

"Thanks, kiddo."
Rooster was graceful even when she was painting the walls red with blood. She did manage to get that last one trying to pull his trigger. She shot at his hands, disarming him. She jumped down off Vassago and approached the man, gun trained on him.
She kicked his gun away and kept alert to the surroundings.
"Alright, hombre, I ain't a police here in Gotham, so I really don't gotta read you no rights or be nice to you."
Rooster was fast and efficient, she pulled a rope off her hip and began hog tying the man while Vassago wandered up to a group of children who then began petting him.
"So, Miss Starfire, you mind helpin' with some round up? Also, I think we ought to call some police down this way and get all these childrens squared away and back home."

There seemed to be a benefit with the current teaming of Aliens and cowgirls. Especially against thugs and goons with the desire to hurt children. It was such a low. Such a tragedy, sadly it wasn't new. Perhaps it never would. Expanding from country to country. Planet to planet. As the feisty warrior, could reflect from what she had seen… Heard. Such screams. Cries. Certainly could help muster up the inner battle cry. The need to take stand. To help life live. Especially when it was so young and deserving. All the hopes and dreams twinkling in their innocent eyes. There was the level of shock. Anger, as one of the thugs took a gun. Pointed at the kids head. Enough to stop. Enable, all plans of attack. The need to bring justice ever more to the forefront. With the shear strength and bravery beaming through her eyes, from within. Though a fight was never that easy. Nor was really the victory usually, but it didn't matter. Never did. Starfire could and would bare all she needed to. As the tamaranean struggled with the ambush from her sides. The struggle had certainly been fair, but not entirely matched. No, not with her abilities and certainly not from her will. As the goons sailed aimlessly through the air, not too roughly. Well, X'hal! They most certainly be feeling a few scrapes. A few bruises. They certainly deserved more. Now free. Starfire swirled freely in mid air, strong fists at the read. Met with Rooster, disarming the goon and rescuing the little boy. With eyes welled and red. Fell a little to the floor. Starfire swooped down to help the youngster up. As Rooster spoke. Concern over her bright green eyes as golden hand motioned at the tiny hands, that had scraped against the floor. Kissing them better. Embracing him in a little hug. With whispers ensuring he was safe. With one knee to the ground. As it would appear… They had found victory…
To what extent? Starfire questioned at what they had actually walked into… Especially if this was just one… Not liking to feel. To sense. This really wasn't it. This wouldn't be the end. This was a small victory in something much larger. With a smile at her lips, this had defiantly been a start. Victory none the less and the children were safe. Every single one. There was never room to let a life slip. Never, not with her capabilities… Placed a simple, sweet hand under the kids chin, before checking upon some of the other children. Then the approach of Rooster, taking a rope and typing up the goon. Brought of course back even more to reality. Tie up the loose ends. Catching the need for assistance. Of course. Starfire was more than happy to help.
"I sure can, Rooster… Certainly seems we have some useful debris… Couldn't agree more. Get you all home safe. "
Starfire's voice prepped up as well as stepped up to her feet. Looked around the garage simply. Dark, with various tool looking objects here and there on the walls. Otherwise it really seemed a basic kind of garage. So it would seem… Looking about, Kory motioned back towards the garage door. Pulled at the edge that had remained. With her strength she crafted out a strip. It peeled like a can in her hands, but in a humans. It certainly had more resistance. With the strip of metal, debris. Starfire hauled up a couple of goons and restrained them with the metal strip. Pressed it tightly and with the warmth of her golden hand. Melted it down a little. Wouldn't allow much of any escape. When they weren't so knocked out. With a swift little look. Starfire agreed, nodded in regards to the police. Before looking to the group of children with a smile. A little more with the look of relief, but there was still the touch of fear. That perhaps only home, would truly fix. Though the presence of the Alien, cowgirl, dog and horse, probably aiding. Not to mention it certainly give them a story to tell their friends. The good part anyway… Starfire motioned for her communication device and called 911. Reaching a voice on the other line. Detailing the formalities. About the children and most of all the address. There probably be more time when they got here for the questions and answers. Really the sooner they got here and got the children truly safe, the better. Pushing the end button. As Starfire another goon half knocked out. Pulling him a side, before her eyes caught something, that had partially been hidden. A hatch? A little patch of medal with a loose tiny handle. Almost perhaps could be mistaken for a build in safe, hmmm no. Something more. Starfire's gold fist hit on it a little. Pulled at the handles. Locked from the inside? That was interesting, but not locked enough for Starfire. With a little more of a intend pull. The metal door, broke from its hinges. Flew a little and crash into the hood of the van. Spooking the children.
"Apologises… X'hal!"
Starfire's voice swept over softly to the children, with a sincere glimpse to them. Before drawn back to the hole now in the ground. Kneeling down and leered down. Eyes glimpse the length of steps down a long dark strip, with a dim light at the end.. Leading to a room? It had to be. Starfire reached for her communication device again. Calling Arsenal. With this slowly growing deeper and the hunch. No. There was certainly more to it. Just how much more. If almost directly came the familiar voice, partially disguised if there were ever listeners. ""Arsenal! What's your status, Starfire?" Came the usual train of code and communication, least to begin with. Starfire's voice relayed to Arsenal the success. Least the success so far, the goons were laid out and the children were saved at her post. Though there was hesitation in her voice as to what leered now below.
"… There seems to be something else… I don't know, some sort of room. I think… I'll check it out! Starfire, out!"
Starfire voiced over to the communicator, to Arsenal. Voicing as really as she was seeing. Guessing. To what was truly down there. Eyes intrigued. She had decent eye sight, but she didn't have the ability to see clear in the dark or, look around corners. Did seem to be something suspicious towards the right, where most of the light was coming from and looking at the fact it was locked inside. There was certainly caution, there was possibly someone inside. Paused shortly, before the inevitable. Starfire needed to check it out. Looked and tilted her head a little towards Rooster as she said it as well. In gesture if she wanted to tag along or finish taking care of the goons. Starfire was certainly capable of taken care of it. Hanging up on the communication device, least for now as she investigated. Starfire began motioning to the first steps and slowly made her way down the long staircase. Soft feet, it made a soft echo sound from the metal steps. Halted a little as green eyes looked out for any shadows. Changes. Anything. Anyone. Not until about the last five steps, did she catch movement. Not only movement, but bullets. Two sets of guns came firing out of the doorway to the right as to surprise her on the stairs. It was after all a small space and good chance had she been human. Some of the shots would have had a high success of being fatale. So the two goons dressed in black, would have hoped. Instead, Starfire blocked the bullets. A couple scraped her skin like a stone rippling against water and the rest melted by her starbolts, as she fired a shot. Landing square and blank in the chest. Whilst allowing the ambush of his friend beside, with a little as shock look in his eyes, but he didn't run. He couldn't, if she was blocking the exit. Meeting the goon on the stairs. Felt the straying blow at her gut. Her hand grabbed at his arm. With a twist. Knee to his gut and slamming him against the wall of the staircase. His body fell limp and rolled down the last couple of steps. Starfire's hand reached at the trickling of energy. Blood from her torso, but it was minor. It would heal. Feeling the drops roll over her fingers. Green eyes escaped to the landing below. Took the last couple steps. Grabbing the goons. Putting them aside and noting they appeared out. Glimpse to the doorway. The room. Coast seemed clear. Motioning for her communication device again. Turning her attention more intently towards the open doorway and the room. What she found was more than she expected.
"Oh My X'hal!"
The words fell with all their weight from her mouth, to her device to Arsenal. Gasped at the sight. Her eyes trailed over the rows of empty beds. Thank X'hal, they were at least empty, but they were hospital like beds. With the various tubes. Medical supplies. Tools and not the friendly kind. Restraints. Liquid bags. All in a dust, dark room. With the sway of dim light over head. At the back wall. Tv screens. Most of the images were fuzzy, but clear enough to showcase simply room set ups… With the empty beds, but some not so empty. "What is it?" Arsenal's voice came in. As the shear volume of the weight of the sight was upon Starfire's face.
"I think this is more than just the east coast, Arsenal… It seems… Global!"
Starfire spoke as the realisation of the sight was throwing more pieces to the puzzle. With her eyes expanded by the screens. The volume. The hunch it was global, from the looks at some of the screens. This wasn't even remotely small and perhaps they were gonna need, more than just the Outsiders, that was jumping a head little… "I know what you mean!" Arsenal's voice echoed on the device. What? She thought whilst she walked into the room now. Eyes catching more closely at the beds. You could dress it up however you want, but she could sense what this was. Experimentation! Torture! Slavery! It has to stop. Fingers ran over the bed railings. Before etching a little closer to the screens. Catching glimpse… Arsenal. Must have found a similar room. Seeing similar to what she was seeing. Looking around constantly with the concern plainly written.
"What do you want me to do?"
Everything. Starfire wanted to do everything to help this. Stop this, but where were they to go from here. Mostly asking, if he needed her back. Needed her here. Elsewhere. X'hal, it was nearly everywhere, for all they know. Eyes lingering on the screens. Glimpsing Arsenal. Nightwing. Her lips twitched ever so slightly, but couldn't truly smile. Not with this. Catching her head a little, to possible echoes of sirens from up above. The police would be on their way… "Take care what you need to with the police, but stay in touch… We're going to need to regroup!" Arsenal relayed to Starfire, the go plan… For now anyway. Starfire nodded in direction. Regroup and hit this at any angle they could. They had too.
"Alright, Starfire out!"
Slowly Starfire hang up her device. Her finger lingered as did her eyes to the screen momentarily. Feeling the fluttering emotions in her chest. Rippling her body, but she'd focus back to the children she did save. Right now! Motioning her eyes up to the roof above. Looking at the beds again. Thank, X'hal! They gotten here. On time. This was experimental, but for all they knew, this was just a holding for something much. Much bigger. To that Starfire turned back towards the stairs. Not before she could at the corner of her eyes another door. A heavy looking door. With a round darkened window. Curiosity she motioned towards it. Perhaps there was more. After getting close enough. Starfire leered through the window, but saw nothing at first. Just darkness. No sounds, other than the echoes above… Perhaps there was nothing… Just at that a dark distorted face with white eyes, came at the window. It was barely human… A creature. Naturally Starfire jumped back out of being startled. Blinked and shook her head. Wondering had she just seen what she had seen. Looking back again. The window was dark again. If it was something. Someone. Trapped… Did they need saving? Were they dangerous?
