Perusing the list for a moment, Shayera nods and puts the napkin in her pocket. "Thanks - that will help a lot!" she says sincerely. Hopefully it'll greatly reduce the number of times she'll have to deal with annoying bartenders, and that's always a very good thing.
What he says next prompts a quick murmur of agreement, and she comments, "Yes - especially since we'd both be busy working in that kind of situation." Since it would undoubtedly involve some criminal needing to be stopped, innocents in peril, or likely both. Certainly not a circumstance to desire. And definitely not a good moment to stop and have a conversation.
Having said that, she notes the slight pause in the conversation. Not that she finds it uncomfortable, but she does notice that there's been a marked absence of them before just now. And when he speaks, it's not that hard for her to figure that he's saying that due to some past experience. She responds with a soft smile, "You don't need to worry about me. I may not be nigh unto indestructable like Superman, but I'm not nearly as delicate as I look. I've killed things that were practically gods before." Of course, she'd had help each time she's faced a being of that caliber, but then again it says something that she survived the fight at all in those cases.
Pursing her lips slightly, she hold out her hand to him and says, "See, look here - the other day I had a little accident with a glass cup." Which is the sort of thing that she doesn't usually like to mention - she tries so very hard not to break things, but it's not her fault that humans don't make anything with a Thanagarian's strength in mind. If he looks very carefully, he'll see that there are quite a few, very faint, lines on her palm where the glass cut her, none any wider than a hair. The injury couldn't have been very bad to begin with, and it looks healed enough to have happened at least a week ago. "Now, if I were human, that would have been bad enough to cut my hand completely open," she says to give it more context.
She could certainly survive being shot. Well, a big enough burst from high-caliber machine gun could do her in, but she'd not just stand there and take it either. "Trust me - the only one who gets busted up around me is the other guy. In fact, I have to be careful when I'm fighting - I don't think I have any right to be killing ordinary humans, and often times it's hard not to," she adds, though thus far she has a perfect record. She only kills when she defeats someone who can't be contained and would continue to be a very dire threat if she didn't. The only humans who could ever qualify would be metahumans with truly remarkable powers.

Harvey smirked again at her. He swirled his glass a bit and watched it for a a few seconds and then darted his eyes back to hers.
He observed her hand when she had shown him
"Then your long life span makes even more since. I guess is you heal that we'll YOU had slower. It's sounds nice."
Controlling that amount of strength sounded like something Harvey, were he meta human, would either master or fail at. He was pretty strong for a human male, but he wouldn't want to lift a bus. Sounds like too much to deal with. Being a superhero sounded like err a lot of pressure and a stunted personal and social life, not to mention Harvey wasn't the most sociable of personalities.
"Well, like I said, you seem tough, but I just hope there ain't a time I got to see it. So, you do anything besides your work? Hobbies?"
He took his cigar from his mouth, blowing the smoke from his nose while he brought the drink to his lips. He could suddenly feel his shoulders loosened up and he was starting to feel a bit like one of those bobble head dolls. Finally he could feel that little click. He was warm, liquored, and content.

The moment he says that her lifespan 'sounds nice', Shayera makes a slight face. "There's drawbacks. For instance, I may live long enough to see the great, great, great, great grandchildren of my friends die of old age..." she comments, but she'll leave it at that. True, thanks to all those she met while in the Justice League she also knows a number of people likely to be around as long as if not longer than she will, but that hardly negates the fact that she gets to look forward to watching quite a few generations of humans come and go. And she'd have to be far more dispassionate than she is for that to not be a major downside of her lifespan.
Still, in spite of the gloomy nature of that line of thought, it's not too difficult for her to pull back out of it and consider his next question. And she has to smile as she admits, "Well, a lot of my hobbies are work-related: strength training, combat practice, flight practice, electronics and technology, chess... But when I'm in the mood for something completely different, I enjoy learning about human cultures - especially the more exotic foods and drinks. There are so many unique flavors on this planet." Of course, some of them she appreciates far more than others.
Frowning a little to herself, she also admits, "But I'm no expert on it by any means - that sort of thing always ends up on the bottom of my schedule. I really enjoy my work - that's always first." There may be more to her than being a superhero, but she'll freely admit that it's by far the most dominant part of her life. "Though if I'm honest, some of that's because I don't think that I've ever really let myself consider this planet to be home. I've not been trying very hard to make a complete life for myself here..." she says, trailing off before she ventures into territory a bit too personal to talk about right now.

Harvey frowned a little bit at the comment at the fact that she would live to see so many pass. That sounded like it was not going to be very nice at all. Harvey was starting to feel thankful he'd probably only be around another 30 to 40 years. Though with his luck he'd probably live to be 100. What he wouldn't give to be 25 again. He could run for miles without stopping and his body had been solid as rock. When he had been in high school he was a line backer on the football team. Speaking of his younger days, the next song in the bar faded into the next. Harvey's ears perked again. Someone was just playing a bunch of 80s music. Probably one of those hipster kids being all ironic. Harvey didn't care, he liked the song. He may have not realized he was bobbing his head to it ever so slightly. "Oh, I like food. Eat it everyday." Harvey snickered at his dumb joke a little while he took a drink of his old fashioned again. He returned his cigar to his teeth soon after and created a little cloud of smoke around his head. he was being polite and not blowing his smoke at his new acquaintance. "You know, if you're ever looking for a dinner companion, you should ring me up. Don't worry, it isn't a come on. I tend to eat dinner alone a lot, and I have a feeling you do, too. If you'd ever like some company let me know. No one should have to eat all their meals alone. Also, I know all the best kept secrets when it comes to good grub in this town..." Harvey offered her another wry smile.

The song that's playing is actually pretty catchy - in fact, when Harvey starts bobbing his head, Shayera doesn't realize that she's bobbing just a little bit to the music to. Well, except that it's her wings and not her head that's doing the bobbing, alternating back and forth between them.
Her eyebrow lifts at his offer, though it lowers when he more fully explains it. It's true that she usually eats dinner alone. Actually, she eats all of her meals alone, lately. And spends much of her free time alone too... In fact this visit to this bar may have been an abnormally successful attempt to spend some of her free time not completely alone.
Still, that doesn't necessarily mean that she's going to immediately leap at the idea of having dinner with Harvey, even if he insists that he's not asking as a 'come on'. If anything, the problem is that she's not sure she would mind if it had been a come on - ...which isn't a thought that she's sure that she's comfortable with. Because, well, after what happened with John... and with Hro... "I'll think about that..." she says, doing her best to inject enough sincerity into her tone to indicate that she really does mean that and isn't trying to use it as a nicer way of saying 'no'.
"You've already managed to get me good service at a bar run by an ass," she observes, glancing at Lenny. Who apparently overhears her comment, though he only responds by casting her a dirty look which seems to indicate that she's doing nothing at all to improve his impression of aliens. Which is fine with Shayera, since she'll probably not be returning to this bar. Well, except perhaps if she happens to spot more underage drinkers in here again - because she would do that, just to be a troll.

"Well, its a start. To new friends."
Harvey raised his glass to hers and then drank it down after the clinking of their glasses. He did not hiss this time but he shook his head a bit. He finally looked at his watch. He hated to leave, but he had plenty to get done.
"Well, Shayera, I hate to cut and run, but duty calls. I got plenty of reports to file on the work server from home tonight and other cases to go over. Not to mention food and all that. It has been a true pleasure."
He offered his hand but when she offered hers instead of shaking it he took it and kissed it. He let it go without tossing it back at her like he was wont to do on accident sometimes. He got off the bar stool and grabbed his coat, pulling it on over his shoulders. He pulled his wallet out and put the appropriate amount of cash on the bar.
"There, Lenny, that should cover it."
The bartender took the money. He knew Harvey well enough not to give him any change back. Harvey always tipped the appropriate amount and never wanted the change back anyway.
Harvey picked up his hat and placed it on his head. He started to walk out and just before he got out the door he looked back to Shayera and winked.
"Night, toots."
And with that, Harvey Bullock went home for the night.

"New friends," Shayera agrees with a nod as she taps his glass with hers - reminding herself repeatedly to do it gently. She always has the worst luck with glass... She hasn't broken any tonight, but the night is still young. Her dishes at home are either plastic or a more robust ceramic.
She nods as he explains why he has to leave, noting the time herself and reluctantly telling herself that she probably ought to head home soon herself - she literally rises with the sun, after all, and though it's up later during this time of year than it could be, that's still a fairly early morning. Offering her hand when he offers his, she's surprised when he kisses it, but laughs in a kind of flattered way. "Yes, it was definitely a pleasure," she agrees. And yes, she definitely will think about having dinner with him...
As Harvey starts to leave, Shayera's attention shifts to her glass and the bottle of scotch as she begins to debate whether or not she's done with it for the evening or if she wants one more glass. Because she certainly would enjoy one now, but on the other hand that means that there will be one less glass less of it left in the bottle for her future self to enjoy...
Though while she's pondering the ramifications of that decision, she catches Harvey's parting words. But though she doesn't turn around to look at him, the wicked grin on her face is audible in her voice as she calls back, "See you later, monkey butt!"
