The water was placid this day, No boats were moving, no breeze danced across the docks and no living soul was visible on the walkways. It seemed almost as quiet and calm as an empty cemetary, nothing move, nothing stirred, all was far to still. Clouds rolled over head ,warning of an incoming storm, what sunshine was left quickly started to diminish into shadow.
Yellow eyes peered out from the water, just visible beaneath the docks itself. Slowly a large reptilian head surfaced, Killer Croc was careful to keep his movements slow, stiff and steady, he did not want to make his presence known just in case some fool had entered his territory. Nostrils flared as he sniffed the still air to make sure he was alone, nothing.. not a sent. A wicked grin crept across his scalie face as he swam towards the shallower end of the docks and climbed out of the water. The incoming storm meant he had very little time to do what he had planned. If it started to rain then he might as well slink back into the sewers.
The Goliath monster made his way up the docks and towards one of the warehouses, his eyes glowed as he peered inside to make sure it was empty. He saw nothing and slipped in. The warehouse was for a Pharmaceutical Company, So the contents within were well wrapped and secured in their boxes, awaiting to be needed. Croc growled as he walked and weaved himself among the boxes, seeking one in particular. His wounds were healing, but not as quickly as he wanted them to be, so he was gonna find what he needed to mend himself best as he could.

"Hurry up Trogg, the storm looks like its coming closer, and we need to get to that container before it starts raining" Bane said while him, and Trogg ran towards the Gotham Dockyard. Bird had heard through one of his sources about a few shipping containers, one filled with Medications and the other with Weapons. He was more interested in the weapons crate because of one of the contents inside....Stinger Rocket launchers.
"Here we are boss, now to look for that container" said Trogg while trying to catch his breath. Even though he was the same size as Bane, he was not as fast or agile as him. Slowly getting up he followed his boss as they searched for the containers. "Let's split up" ordered Bane "And let's look for the containers separately. If you see someone or find the crate contact me" he finished as he tossed a communicator to Trogg.
Bane ran up and down the rows of shipping containers until he stopped as he heard a noise coming near by. As he stood with his back against a container he saw what had made that noise. A giant crocodile like creature stood by a container searching its contents. "¿Que es eso?"*1* he wondered, as he saw what looked like a giant crocodile. "¿Un cocodrilo que esta parado en dos patas?"*2* he said in a quiet voice.
*Trogg, come in Trogg* he said *Yes Bane what is it?* responded Trogg * found the crate but I also found someone or something trying to get to its contents* the masked man responded *What do you want me to do?* asked the henchman *Continue searching for that weapons crate it's our first priority. I will handle this guy* Bane said *Got it boss* ended Trogg.
"Hey Amigo, what are you looking for?" Said Bane in a happy tune, and opened arms as he stepped out from behind the crate....
(Translations for Spanish used in Post) *(What is that?) ** (A crocodile that stand on two legs?)

His jaws snapped as he realized he was no longer alone in the warehouse, he had company. He turned his head as he faced his company, those gleaming reptile eyes narrowing as he sized up the man oddly dressed as some sort of wrestler, he faced such men before in his early days in Gotham. So the masked man did not make Croc blink twice as he straightened up to his full height and let out a low growl.
His deep voice hissed with a rich Cajun accent as he kept his distance, One clawed hand on a crate he was aiming to rip open and empty out," Ah'd Best be on my way if I were you, boy. This ain't no play ground for macho men...."

Bane had never seen such a creature before, but it would not stop him he was ready to fight should something go wrong. "What I'm doing here is my business, and mine alone" he responded to Croc's statement "also I'm much more than just a Macho Man, I'm stronger, faster, smarter then your average wrestler"
He walked slowly towards Waylon, though he still kept his distance "So tell me amigo, what are you? Mutated Crocodile or Alligator? Or did your mother preferred animals over men?" Bane joked hoping to stall him while Trogg searched for the weapons they came to find, though he would not mind a fight against this thing, in fact he was hoping for one just so he can test out his new batch of Venom.
Though he did see the crocodile man was about a foot taller than him, it did not matter for he was not afraid of such a thing. He studied his opponent for a while before talking again "So do you have a name Mr. Crocodile man or should I just call you Freak Show....also if you do not mind I am in a bit of a hurry so I will need you to move away from those medications before things truly get nasty..." he said before getting into his battle stance.

The talk struck a small cord with him, he let out a small snarl before he let go of the crate and approached Bane. He grinned as he stopped and sized up the man, He had fought many men who talked just like him in the past, many of them were just hot air and fancy footwork. Rolling his neck he loosened his neck with a few cracks and a roll of his shoulders. Those deep yellow eyes narrowed as he kept his teeth bared and a low hiss rumbling in his throat," Boy.. Ah'd eat your kind for breakfast.... And Ah ain't leavin' til I get what ah'd commin' for.."
His clawed feet stood firmly in place, digging slightly into the concrete floor and leaving marks. His shoulders rolled back as his hands became fists, arms raised up and showing he wasn't one to back down from anything or anyone. He was wounded, it showed on his green scalie hide, deep gashes and a bruise or two darkening his color.
The storm outside had rolled in, a cold wind whistled by the shuddering metal doors of the warehouse. Croc gritted his teeth, in his mind praying the rain would hold off just a bit longer, he needed those body enhancements to heal quicker if he was gonna go toe to toe with anyone, but this masked macho man seemed like the sort that needed a good old southern whoopin' .
" Ah am sure we can settle this the easy way taco man... Ah ain't reckenin' neither of us wanna dance.... not here any how"

It was starting to rain. Garfield hated rain. It made it nearly impossible to keep fires burning during a good rainstorm. This was one of the reasons he was currently at the Dockyards. Another reason was because he was in search of some good painkillers and medical supplies. After his little run-in with a female alien calling herself Starfire, he was in need of both. The throbbing pain in his left thigh was proof of that.
Once he made it inside the pharmaceutical warehouse, his Firefly suit's special lenses instantly switched to night-vision, allowing him to see almost clearly in the dark. He began to rummage through the various boxes, looking for morphine, or something just as strong. As he looked through the different medical supplies, he came across bandages, ointments and salves, and a few other things that he needed as well. Taking the satchel he'd had slung across his body, which was now nearly empty save for two chemical bottles, a flash-bang, and an incendiary grenade, he began filling it with the medical supplies.
Garfield was about to finish looking for the main item that he came for, when he suddenly heard voices coming from the other end of the warehouse. Normally, if he became aware of someone else's presence, he would high-tail it out of there. This particular conversation, what he could hear of it, anyway, had him slightly intrigued. His curiosity getting the better of him, Firefly decided to see who, exactly, was in the warehouse with him, and why.
"Excuse me," he said so that Bane and Killer Croc could hear him. "You wouldn't happen to know where I could find some of the good painkillers at, would you?"
He stood a good distance away from his fellow criminals, and readied his flame-thrower just in case it started to get ugly.

Post by Zahira Ormarr - Black Serpent on Sept 22, 2013 21:43:38 GMT -5
The storm was swift in motion of rather wild winds that whistled against the ears. The rain fell pitta patted from the darkened night. Thick dark clouds blanketed roughly all of the night sky. Causing quite the mesmerising play of shadows. Quite the playground for the creatures of the night and more pointedly the Serpent. The dark wheels of the motorbike skidded against the dark and wet asphalt, coming to a stop cascaded in the black; somewhere with the dockyards. A infamous hot spot for the criminally insane and sometimes the sane criminals. The black serpent hadn't entirely come to simply dangle her legs over the peer enticing sharks. Though she was very much on a scent, maybe not exactly sharks. Serpent's black leather fingerless gloved hands coiled around a rusty ladder that led up to a crate on of the outside walls of the warehouse, housing medical supplies it seemed and animals on the loose. The creature herself wasn't entirely going for the subtle approach, as even the slightest sound was most likely muffled or blended into the sounds of the storm, but she still very much played with shadows. The mysterious as she almost slithered up the ladder. Her darkened body was clothed in black clothing, tight black pants and boots, with a nice little sharp point. Heels were not always girls friend in these situations, but she wasn't exactly your typical girl and her skills overshadowed the possible hindrance. The pants extended into a jumpsuit that covered her top half, with some cut outs, but not greatly seen with the loose fitted black jacket. Sleek high black ponytail extended along the spine. Black mask surrounded mostly the eyes in a subtle suggestion of a snake like form, maybe even hints of scales… Reaching the crate in the wall, pulling it free momentarily as the Serpent slipped inside, into an over head tunnel.
Fingers, knees and toes were the first to feel the tunnel beneath. Had felt the muffled vibrations earlier, but not it almost had a touch of wild fire. The storm could, especially the electricity in the air, could sometimes play with vibrations, but there was little downplaying now. No ear needed to be pressed, the echoes of the voices below were rather easily heard, even so high above. Not so scared to be heard herself, because even when they guessed the position they'd be wrong half of the time and even if right, her position wouldn't always remain so pointedly unless she willed it. Falling further into the tunnel. With subtle motion as if little sign a creature had really emerged and through the little cracks, saw the outlining of the three. Not exactly men, now were they. Felt her odds just went up, despite it may look the opposite. She had advantages in places many would over look. One being the environment, there was a lot of blackness in the room below. Jumping down and demanding attention would maybe be a little silly. There needed to be a little coaxing. See what the creature really had to work with. To play with. Because one thing she seemed to lack in this game was size, but sometimes the smallest things can hold the greatest fear. As subtly from her darkened lips, a hiss with a hint of a growl came. Not so loud, but loud enough that the echo could either be heard or felt within the surrounding sounds of the storm outside. Though with its echo bouncing above, exactly where it came from wouldn't be revealed. Or even if it was something to exactly worry about, but it was defiantly there.
If at all these three even knew of what her presence meant, they were going to find out. The Serpent was still but a mystery in this city, but a mystery the public was in more ways in trying to unravel. Especially more so after she brought down the Man-bat. Still they questioned her alignment, but as long as they thought she was dangerous, they weren't far off. A snake though wouldn't be much of a snake if it truly sat down at your lap and started telling you fairy tales. Slithering until there was a hole big enough to slip out of. Her darkened eyes loomed down. Should be noted that she did have a weapon that was strapped against her back, if she indeed needed to use it. Though her hand more aimed for a line, she could hook at a distant railing. Silently of course. As the bug below rambled to a stop. The black figure almost like a swoop, in some motion to maybe take the bug off his feet or merely surprise him. A dark chuckle echoed her lips, if that hadn't killed his pain, she sure could find a way… As quick as the serpent had swung down, she disappeared back in the blackness above. Finding almost a coven in a corner perched like a crouch, balances there merely by her finger tips and toes. As the hiss would again escape, bouncing deeper in the room, from wall to wall.

It seemed this warehouse was getting crowded, Croc wasn't in any fair mood or shape to tackle down this muscle-man nor any of the others. He hsssed low in his throat and crabbed the crate he had his eyes set on. He paused for a moment to see if any of the others unwanted guests had any mind in starting a fight. Croc's tail slid along the ground as he waited, then he dug his claws int the crate and tossed it at Bane with a loud reptilian roar and then Lundged at firefly with open gleaming jaws. He was gonna make this a quick rumble and a smooth escape, if things went as he planned.

Standing there with his flame-thrower at the ready, Garfield couldn't help but wonder why the hell he'd decided to see what Bane and Killer Croc were up to in this particular warehouse.
'Probably for the same reason I am,' he thought to himself. 'Although, with Bane, who knows. Maybe he's here for that stuff that bulks him up or whatever.'
As soon as he thought this, he was suddenly knocked off his feet and into a stack of boxes! While they crashed to the floor, they managed to keep him from hitting the hard concrete below.
"What the--?!" he questioned once he regained his composure.
His inquiry was answered with a deep, loud hiss that seemed to bounce off the walls of the warehouse. Whoever had hit him was not Batman or any of his clan. If it was, they wouldn't be making any noise, they would have answered with one of their fancy toys, or possibly even some smart-ass comment. Before he could react any further to whoever it was that knocked him down, Killer Croc lunged at him! Garfield barely avoided him by diving out of the way.
"Shit!" he cursed. "Okay, I'm out of here. Shouldn't have stuck around in the first place."
With that, he began to head for the exit, the medical supplies he'd stolen secured safely in the satchel that was secured over his body. Maybe he'd get lucky and get away. If this new person decided to follow him, however; then he'd do his best to defend himself in the condition that he and his equipment is currently in...

The dark chuckle was all that had seeped from the Serpent's lips after at least being successful of taking a bug off his feet. Perhaps he was just a wingless fly. As the serpent took to a stance deep up in a corner on the warehouse ceiling. Surrounded in the darkness and infamous hiss, bouncing from wall to wall. From croc to bug and who ever Bane was. Watched below as the bug stumbled aimlessly into a stack of boxes. Puzzling look, that was all but familiar. Serpent was no enlarged monster or creature of the deep black sewer, but she did hold a dose of fear. Along with a very, very killer bite. Below didn't know she generally put others to sleep. No, all they needed to know. To feel was exactly, terror. That terror that could slither up and slowly skin you alive. Patience. Some may say suspense. Well, not for everyone it would appear. As with shadowy figures and the rapid thud of vibrations. The burly alligator barrelled his way below towards the bug. May an ally? The again Serpent didn't always play well with others. As soon as the bug had dodge, leaving him simply prey for her own picking. The croc barrelled out it would seem from the warehouse. Whether through the door or simply made himself a door, found himself an exit it would seem, probably found nearest point to the sewers below… Where there had been three, now two? She could have certainly followed the Croc, but perhaps trail him later. Having caught each one of their scents. They were very easy to pick up again and two, was certainly still better than one, right now.
The black serpent bided her timing up above, it seemed the advantage. Almost lost within the darkness, she was probably the smallest creature of them all, but her bite was large and they were still mice for the picking. Well, that was of course if she was looking for supper, whatever aided to the fear churning in their heads. Sometimes the smallest things, could hold the most deadly disasters. The growl of her hiss grew again and played with the surrounding walls. Darkened eyes circled around Bane's head, who didn't seemed to be completely shook up, but fierce. He was a larger than life specimen, she could give him that, but even some one filled to the rim with muscles had a weakness. The black serpent all but slithered against the ceiling the walls, circling as if one would hunt prey. If he truly was filled up with toxins, he'd probably not be the most tasty and perhaps counter play with her own more natural poisonous bite. There was truly only one way to find out and simply sitting in the rafters wasn't going to bring victory. As if a fly out of the dusk. The serpent dropped from above. Landing into a crouch, some feet away from Bane. His tilted in her direction, Serpent rose to her feet and all but did the same in return. Her dark eyes reaching to his own toxic gaze through her dark lashes and mask. A eyes danced with his, not straying. Finding that rhythm. Feeling the vibration of his pulse. Serpent for moments did not move, Bane snarled and attempted to charge forward. Serpent took a step or two back and stopped. Whilst not letting go of her hold. Just feet away he stopped as if slightly dazed and shook his head to try to be free of it. A grasp came to her throat, tightening as she stepped into it. A smirk fell upon her lips. Feeling how his pulse just that bit changed and soon would feel his grasp retreat. This was time now to make her move. In swift motions of hooking herself around his arm and neck. The serpent all but perched upon his shoulders and in releasing her fangs, dug them deep into Bane's neck. Keeping in mind not to inhale, but then she was really the sucking blood kind, otherwise if there were deadly toxins bubbling away they could probably damage her. Large amounts of venom was injected, fingers lightly grasped could feel his pulse directly. At first little much else happened, but eventually she took control. His limbs would fall like jelly and soon his body will follow. Serpent stayed momentarily in place to be assured there was enough to sustain him. To her time. Teeth soon though fell free and her dark eyes followed to the red bug, just before he would make that dash to freedom. A couple drops of venom fell from her teeth, but soon securing her fangs, there was all but a single trace.
If the red bug even took a slight motion to look back, the black serpent had vanished from Bane's body. As if the darkness and shadows had taken her again. Slithering back along one of the walls. She was faster than a bullet. Probably not even faster than a hare to be honest, but she was a snake. Didn't anyone ever tell you not to run when you see a snake? Though maybe it would be unwise to jump to conclusions this… What ever he was… Was foolish. Sometimes it just takes a will of a mind to win the game. Instincts. Oh, his footsteps were lighting up a bright path and he didn't even realise it. Or, well, maybe he would find out. Slithering her serpent like self to the exit he was aiming for. Becoming a dark figure upon the frame. In the attempt to put a little stop in his escape, but even if he made a way out into the docklands. It was pretty much just a matter of. Tick, tick, tock. "Oh, but we were just beginning to have fun…" The Serpent spoke low and darkly from her darkened lips. Feeling as if almost scales rolled over her shoulders and down her back, but she remained all but still. In place almost like the Raven, only maybe a little more sinister.

As Garfield made his way towards the nearest exit of the shipping warehouse, he happened to glance back and see a dark-haired woman jump down on Bane and...sink her teeth into him?! This was definitely not one of the Batman's clan. Now a bit freaked out with seeing what he saw, Lynns picked up his pace, looking back once more. When he gazed back the second time, the strange woman was gone! What was he dealing with now? A vampire or something? He shivered slightly at the thought. It was one thing to deal with a creature from outer space -- like that Starfire chick he'd barely gotten away from just a little while ago, for example. Dealing with something supernatural was an all together different kettle of onions.
Suddenly, he heard the woman speak low and darkly, saying that she was just beginning to have fun with him. As much as Garfield would love to play with a member of the opposite sex, he really wasn't in any shape to be fighting. Especially someone with what he initially thought are supernatural abilities. Besides, he'd had enough "fun" with women for the evening. Reaching into his satchel, he felt around for one of the remaining grenades. He knew that he only had about one or two of each type left, and they were the heaviest of the items. This allowed him to find one mere seconds after he'd reached into the bag. Pulling it out, he saw that it was an incendiary grenade, and grinned. Perhaps he could play for a little bit after all.
"I don't know who you are, lady, but if you try to follow me, I'll burn this warehouse to the ground!" he called, ready to pull the pin on the grenade and use it.
He was only a few feet from the exit now, but he had stopped and turned around to threaten the freaky, mysterious woman. This may not have been the wisest of decisions, but Garfield had the feeling that she would have kept following him otherwise. His encounter with Starfire had left him injured, tired, without his jet-pack, and caused him to lose most of the things he'd stolen before he'd gotten a chance to use them for what he really wanted to use them for. Firefly was a bit desperate now, so if he was to go down tonight, then he wouldn't be going down easy, no matter what this woman can do.

It had taken a little more than a few swift motions in the dark to take down the big man known as Bane, but given the right and connecting elements. He did eventually sink and did he sink low. There was certainly the risk of it back firing, but way his pulse pita pattered at the touch of her lips. Felt beneath just the tiniest touch of her fingers. It had all swirled around, only to bring him down. Of course when one is down. Always another in the wake. Hmmm, this one was not what the creature truly expected. As the darkness and shadows had all but swallowed her whole. Only to appear between the bug and his escape for light. Well, what there was of it. As the storm that was raging still banged against the warehouse walls. Rattling the windows. Wind whistling through the doors and cracks. Hands and feet held her in place just inched from the exit. Not any quick movements. No. The serpent always bided their time. To hit the target just at that pointedly time, for the serpent wasn't without flaws. Weaknesses. It was nothing grand, nor big. Did not shoot flames. No. No, but nor did it have too. It, she had a presence. She may not have a lot of tools in her belt to play with, but this whole room was her tool belt. After all, all a snake had were fangs. No legs. No arms. Still with the up most grounding danger. So, though the serpent looked upon a mere fly that could potentially be squashed. She wasn't blinded, he could process even greater danger than meets the eye.
Her hiss growled low at her lips, as her darkened eyes glimpsed as his hand reached in to his satchel. The Serpent's shoulder rolled ever so subtly, keeping place. After all she was patient, but not foolish. In matter to truly win this game, it really was about control. Get the upper hand… Though the Serpent had expected something more in keeping to a gun. A grenade? Really? She was maybe not the quickest on her feet as the other beloved heroes of the world, but she could least get out before explosion. Then at his words… Slowly she dragged her lips into a dark smirk to one corner… Least he wasn't completely dumb. Oh, though he certainly got some bite him in… Her dark eyes at the mentioning of the warehouse, wandered around the dark space. Shrugged a little. "So not only are you threatening someone you don't know -- You're spilling out your plan?" The Serpent asked the mysterious bug, who was seemingly revealing his cards. Her dark eyes played upon him as her words fell upon him. Sometimes it really was in their first few moves they slip up… Though she could have been guilty of the something. Here she was threatening someone she didn't know, although she was feeling beneath her fingers and toes. She knew him just that little bit better, than he knew about her. Though she was sure he was getting the hints. Subtly the Serpent began a slow descend down the wall. "You can burn it to the ground, I'll still get what I want! Any clues?" The Serpent remarked darkly from the growl of her throat. As her very dark eyes targeted upon him. As she all but slithered down the wall. Stalking. Hunting. Which ever you preferred to look at it. If that really was this threat. His plan, let him at it. For the way the creature looked at it, she was gonna get him one way or another. Asking darkly not entirely in a mocking way if he had any clue as to her very plan. As soon she had come to the ground below in a crouch.
"I'll give you a hint!"
The Serpent spilled out darkly just as she fell to her all fours on the ground. Stomach to the hard chilled floor of the warehouse. Fingers and toes at the ready to crawl. Just as The Serpent released her fangs. There was little waiting as the the creature crawled, slithered towards the fiery bug man. Her pacing was slow first, her dark figure half cast in shadows, now danced through them. Dark shapes. Dark eyes. Dark growling hiss. As her dark eyes though even in distance could find his. Feeling the rhythm of vibrations whether he would truly startle, the Serpent picked up her pace bit by bit. Crawled just that little bit fast. With all the hints and feeling she could pouch anytime or really any direction. This place was big, but way she looked at it. He was simply a fly caught in her web. Just a matter of subduing him.

The storm outside was continuing its rage. The windows rattled loudly every few moments, and flashes of lightning were dancing around, casting eerie shadows. It was almost like the setting of a classic horror film, and Lynns couldn't help but become a bit nervous. Especially after what the...creature had said back to him. Garfield had just watched, through his facemask's infrared lenses, this female thing take down Bane almost as if it were nothing, and she'd bit him to do it! Now, he heard the low, dark growl emanating from somewhere between himself and the exit. How had she gotten there so quickly without him seeing? Either she had been mentored by the Bat, or she is, as he first assumed, something else entirely.
"W-what the hell are you?" he asked, his nerves making him stutter a bit. "You're not gonna suck my blood! I saw what you did to Bane!"
He was turning around in slow circles now, looking in every direction. Suddenly, he spotted the woman on the ground, on her stomach no less, and she was hissing lowly at him. The only way that he could tell that she was in fact a woman was because of her voice, not to mention seeing her shapely curves through the infrared lenses. Garfield couldn't make out too many other details, like what the color of her hair, skin, and eyes were, but he could tell that she was somewhat attractive. Why is it always the attractive ones who were out to deter him? Why couldn't they be ugly? Now, this seemingly sultry creature-woman was moving, almost slithering, really, along the floor towards him.
"Seriously! Stay. Back!" he warned, the fingers of his free hand reaching for the pin of the grenade. "I may look like a mere bug to you, but I've got some fire that I'm not afraid to use if I have to!"
Lynns' heart was racing now. While he loved getting an adrenaline rush, neither he nor his suit were in any shape to be taking on a vigilante. Especially a new one that has, much like the alien woman, Starfire, seemingly supernatural, or even meta-human, abilities. The thing moved, a little quicker now, towards him, making him back slowly away from the exit of the warehouse. This action did it. It re-ignited Garfield's courage, and he pulled the pin on the grenade. He threw it at the woman before reaching for his trusty flame-thrower. The grenade went off seconds later, exploding into gorgeous, comforting flames...

The Serpent had come between the bug and his exit. At least one of them, there was really only telling if this was the only one. It wasn't maybe the most enormous warehouse, but it still had size about it. Yet as the creature glared at the bug before her, hmmm even simply the rumbling of vibrations mixed within the rumbling storm blazing outside. This. Who ever he was or whatever he was! Was all but shaking like a leaf, ok that was maybe an overstatement, but there was certainly something that kept him in tracks, yet didn't entirely smell of bravery. Just that edge inside that almost made the shoulder blades of the Serpent shiver. Yeah, the creature was messing with him. Defiantly so as his questions spilled out his mouth. The nerves stuttering out his lips. The serpent unleashed a low, very low chuckle. Asking questions that probably didn't matter. The Serpent would still be stalking him. Tilted her head mildly in the darkened shadows at his attempt to answer his own question. "I am the creature of the night!" Rolled off the Serpent's rough tongue, it wasn't a lie. She a creature, if not thee creature of the night. Even if yes, snakes come out in the day. Serpent was a little more tied to the darkness, many have given what she was different names over the decades, possibly centuries. Labels. She was little past trying to pull them out. People were going to jump one way or another… Lifted her nose faintly too the air at the mentioning of blood. Why not run with the card he was thinking she was playing with? After all he sounded so convinced. "Ash and melted skin! Taste is a natural curiosity." Smelled the freshly burnt skin, Serpent was almost sure from what she sensed through vibrations how his blood vessels pulsed, altered, it was more than once… Letting it hang as in regards to taste even if by chances he tasted of ash, but that was only a mere driving force. Perhaps had he not walked in, simply walked on by she wouldn't of picked up his scent. Least not tonight, but it was far too in the game to be playing the what if, game.
The creature was greatly on target. As soon the Serpent had left the spot on the wall. With her natural play on the shadows and darkness, it was almost beautiful how the bug looked around. In more cases than not the snake finds you, than you can find it… Right now, as the Serpent's suit covered belly grazed the floor below. She had no trouble finding him at all. Dark eyes danced upon his fingers on the grenade. The threat in which he was toying with. Trying to stir something out of the creature. Was she entirely fire proof, no, but if anything she had more of was stealth. As slowly the creature had begun making the charge towards him. Felt her tongue escape across her sharpened teeth. If he wanted a vampire, she would give him a vampire. That and more. "Hmmm, a Firefly… How fun!" The Serpent naturally played with the mentioning bug and fire, whether or she knew that was his name, but thats what he had proclaimed he was. As the dark smile came upon her face. Dark looks upon him, as the Serpent sped up. Moved with almost the rhythmic of the Firefly's heart. It race more than a bee's wings could buzz.
Slithering through the shadows and the play on light, especially as the cracks of lightening struck just outside. The bug's began to pace backwards. Least it was something, but he was either dumb not running or braver than he himself gave credit. Then how far did brave get you when your pulse gives you way. Her hiss echoed in her attempts to potentially run him down, but when was it ever that easy. As her dark eyes watched him still toying with that little grenade. A firebomb in one sense. In a matter of a few moments, the bug let go of the grenade. The small round grenade flew through the space between. Aiming in the Serpent's general direction and not many seconds after. It blew into flames.. Flames that rose to great and unimaginable heights. A fire wall covering the exit. For the few moments after one could very much believe she had gone up in smoke and fire. That's if she was really that slow and she was not completely fire proof. There was no telling how much the Serpent would or could protect itself. Darkness was more her friend than light. Perhaps so quick it went unnoticed before she was out of harm. For a little bit it was silent. Still silent. So much so she could almost play her ear to feel his pulse trying to steady, but not long after did the echo of her hiss grow in a echo. First coming from the flames themselves, before bouncing back in the darkness. Where was the creature? Standing behind him now, of course! Forget rhyme and reason.

The incendiary grenade had created a lovely wall of fire between he and the mysterious woman. A woman who knows his alias. This didn't bother him all that much. Most people in Gotham City know who the Firefly is. What bothered him a little is the fact that she can tell that he has burnt flesh! She has to be some sort of supernatural creature. She basically said that she is! Then again, come to think of it, Killer Croc isn't a supernatural being, and he can smell things that others cannot. Regardless of this fact, this woman, whatever she is, is much different than Killer Croc. She was admittedly freaking Garfield out a bit. The flames didn't get her. If they had, then he should at least hear her screaming in pain by now, and he didn't.
"You're not going to taste this Firefly!" he yelled over the raging storm going on outside and the crackling of the fire that was now spreading to boxes and crates of various medical supplies.
Then, Garfield heard the growl-like hiss again. It sounded inhuman; like a demon, or some sort of snake, even. It seemed to come directly from the flames, but then it retreated back into the darkness. Firefly's heart was beating fast once again out of fear. He couldn't help it. As much as he'd like to think of himself as being fearless, he wasn't. Where did the creature go? He wasn't sure what it was, exactly, but something told him to turn around. When he did, she was standing right behind him! Garfield jumped back, startled. When he did this, his finger pulled the tigger on his flame-thrower.
"Jesus!" he exclaimed before quickly composing himself and re-aiming his main weapon.
He looked the woman up and down. "Damn. I was right. You are sexy. I like a hero in tight black leather. Especially when they're extra crispy!"
Firefly pulled the trigger on the flame-thrower once again; this time on purpose. This chick's actions were a lot like the Bat's, and yet...they were different. She was more animal-like. The chemical plant explosion that gave him his scars had been an accident. This situation now was a battle for freedom; therefore, Garfield had no problem going down with the thing that he loved the most -- fire.
