The night was almost there. Just enough time to enjoy what light there was on the way to Star City… It sounded like a magical place. Especially in a season like this. Despite the cold, it was still joyful. The holiday spirit. Of Pine trees. Expression of love yet to be unwrapped. Plants that encouraged the lip contact. It was defiantly one of Kory's favourite things about Earth. Particularly all the bright lights and not to mention the music. All sweet and positive. Really who couldn't be happy? As Kory managed to twist and turn. Zipping up her red sparkly strapless dress. With a length slit up the dress along her left leg up somewhere nearing above her thigh. Reaching for her gloves laid out on her bed. The beginnings of Jessica Rabbit, with the red dress Kory felt it had the touch enough for the holidays, whilst she was also quite fond of the character. She was a woman head over heels for her husband. Quite sweet, but also a strong woman. Or least cartoon. Which mostly Kory found funny. Sweet and cute. With the purple gloves in hand. The television out in the living room was showing a special of Glee. Christmas themed… Which meant. Christmas music. With half a spin on the heels of her feet, Kory nearly tripped over her red heels she had left on the floor. With a soft laugh.
Picked up the shoes with the strap between her fingers. Almost skipping her way out of her bedroom and into her living room. Christmas had more than hit her place. It was like santa had come and planted a christmas bomb, but it was exactly how Kory liked it. Much like a Macy's window. Lights and decoration filled her apartment. Mostly her living room. Tinsel along shelves. Frames. Little tiny christmas figurines. Some of which were some tiny Robins. Even some Titan figurines. Which Kory couldn't so easily remember them posing for, but they were cute. There was mistletoe in places and of course the well decorated tree. It was christmas. It was hard not to not come into her place not smile every time now. Least a little bit. As Kory half span a little in a christmas jig, with toying with her gloves in the air and in the process slipped the gloves on her hands. As she sang along rather loudly to 'All I want christmas is you'. Smiling joyfully and spinning in her newly sparkly dress. With her styled red hair was left loose to tousle about along with her. Dancing her way over to the table. For the time being tossing her shoes upon her couch. Her orange fingers picking up the simple silver stud earrings. Picking them up one by one. Tilting her head as she put them in her pierced ears. She had traded in her trademark purple lips for red, but had a little purple eye shadow. Simple blush to her cheeks, given for someone like her, it came rather naturally. She practically ready. She wasn't a girl that took a lot of time. The excitement helped. As she waited for her heart warming man. Whom she wanted for christmas, but was it really a secret now. As Kory half bubbled happy tears as she led herself getting a little lost with a sensual sway of her hips to the music and the throwing up her arms in pure bliss. What was there to complain about? Absolutely nothing. Tonight was party night. To be surrounded by friends and possibly the discovery of new friends. Also the close tenderness of being with Dick was always an added bonus.
"I don't want a lot for christmas. There's just one thing I need… I don't care about the presents. Underneath the christmas tree..."
Kory sang along to the television, jumping and dancing. Joyful and simple bliss. Of course naturally Kory had offered the helping of decorating places of those closest to her. Even Dick's as much as she could to make it cheerful enough, even if he found himself over here more than there. Just a little warmth. Somehow in her efforts she was sure it warmed his heart a little or was it just her? Things had been spinning nicely enough despite how rough things had been since Donna's death, but he was trying. Kory as still here… Watching the window as the little frosty snowflakes fell from the sky. She could easily recall her first winter here. The first snow fight of many between the titans. Before falling down and Donna showed her how to make snow angels. Along with Robin at the time. Time seemed to have rolled on and on. Until Kory had seen her first snow flakes fall upon them. With him taking her hand and feeling rather lost, whilst feeling right at home as it seemed so many snowflakes filled the sky around them. Reaching out trying to catch them was quite a blissful moment.
"Make my wish come true… All I want for christmas is you!"
A little higher on key, Kory sang sweetly as she danced continually within the living room of her apartment. Blissfully unaware if Dick would sneak up upon her, but she was defiantly expecting his company. Perhaps even join her before their awaited road trip to Oliver Queen's place, for the christmas party.

A Christmas party...as soon as Kory got word of this from one of the Leaguers, he knew they were going. He wasn't about to stop Kory. At least he wouldn't be the only one dragged into this. He thought of this as a chance to learn a bit more about the League and see what other potential members for his team he might be able to find. Dick knew who just about everyone one the League's secret identities. You don't just work for Batman and not learn this information. It was what the Bat-family ran by. Knowing others before they knew you. Or better yet, never know you. So, later that evening Dick came back to Kory's apartment to pick her up. What was after he took care of some business in means for transportation. And he wasn't about to show up at Oliver Queen's place in one of the off roading vehicles he particularly favored in driving around lately for long trips. This time, he'd put some thought into it and leases a vehicle he though he might be interested in signing the papers to own. Though he wanted to see how it handled first. Outside of Kory's apartment complex, a white Ferrari F430 pulled up along side the curb. The engine taking no time to fall silent as its drive got out. FerrariMoving forward to the elevator and up into the hall, Dick's stride was quick and as stealth as always. Unlocking Kory's door with the key she had given him, he walked in unnoticed. Though he could see a lovely vision of Kory dancing and singing away to a Christmas tone. Her fiery red dress catching his eyes as she moved. Dick stuck to the hall way, leaning up against the doorway as he waited for Kory to take notice of his presents within the apartment. He stood there in a black suit and a hat upon his head. Kory had told him what she was going dressed as and he wasn't complaining. So, to somewhat go along with her theme for the two of them, get got a suit similar to the 1920's style of suits. SuitA few moments passed, and Kory seemed lost in her own world or music. Dick stood there and cleared his throat. "Looks like you're having a good time. How about if we skip the party and just spend the evening here," Dick commented. Knowing fully well the thought would cross Kory's mind, but she wouldn't miss out on the chance to go to a party to see some friends.

A group of servants moved through the main hall way in the mansion, using a ladder to place all the decorations upon the large tree which stood at the entrance. It was huge, nearly tapping the glass ceiling above with the golden star. The building’s interior was made of a light oak which gave a festive feel to the party. Although the house wasn’t as large as Bruce Wayne’s back at Gotham, yet Starling City’s shining star still owns a modest home. It would be large enough for the party if the guests were separated into individual rooms. In each of said rooms, a Christmas tree would stand. Each from the forest around the house, picked by Ollie a few weeks earlier. He liked to keep an eye upon every part of the party’s planning although Dinah was the one who did this often. Ollie watched down from the top of the large stairway, his hands arched on the banister at the top. He stood in his usual clothing, a tee shirt and jeans. He picked his Q-Phone from his pocket and looked at the time. He had an hour before the guests were due to arrive, he had to get ready. He walked into the master bedroom of the house, closing the door behind him. Stripping down with ease, he stepped into the warm shower. The water ran through his hair until he was relaxed and climbed out. A quick shave trimmed his beard to acceptable levels, leaving his iconic goatee. Oliver had bought a new deodorant for the party, spraying it on in attempt to smell even nicer than before. He grinned while looking in the mirror at his body. “Looking good, Queen.” He hummed the James bond theme as he strolled back into the bedroom, opening the massive wardrobe filled with suits. He picked out a white tuxedo and black trousers then placed them down on the bed. He pulled out a pair of black shoes and a white shirt, the same colour as the jacket. He was short of time so he rushed to get it on although he was an expert on tuxedos. The hardest bit was placing the black bow tie on, but after nearly cutting his oxygen supply off, he was finished dressing himself. Tuxedo He stood before the bathroom mirror, correcting the bow while smirking back at himself with delight. “How suave, Mr. Bond.” He said to himself, thinking himself as England’s greatest agent. While putting his shoes on, sitting at the edge of the bed, Ollie hummed the James Bond theme again while grinning. He loved those films, with Connery as his personal favourite. He looked some what Daniel Craig when he inspected his finished work. Although with more….style.

Dinah had preferred to show up on her motorcycle, but since she was wearing a short dress that went up past her knees it would be more preferable if she took a vehicle that could better handle snow and not make her noticeable to all who glanced in her direction, saw the dress barely covering and slam into traffic around her. She was not going to be late to a party just to be chewed out on the roads for drivers who could not keep their eyes on the road while she was under dressed while riding a motorcycle during the winter. That and she did not want her helmet to flatten her hair. Not when she wanted to look her best for Oliver. She figured he loved her no matter what she looked like but that would not stop her from trying to please him by looking her best. She knew she was good-looking no matter what as of right now she lacked in confidence. Parties were never really her thing. People chatted about nothing in particular and had a good time while she mostly wished she were some where else. She was not one of the social butterflies, nor did she know how to simply cut loose and have a good time when her idea of fun was competing against the boys and improving her marital arts skills. How bad would it look if she threw Nightwing down onto the floor and kept him there with a high-heel to his chest? She wasn’t there to show off. What was she there for?
Camry
This glamorous bird sped up the 2006 Toyota Camry by stomping on the gas pedal and jerked the wheel just right to spin the car in a half circle, creating tire track marks on the ground outside of Oliver’s mansion and stopped in front of the large mansion. Her confidence grew from having pulled off that little stunt in front of Oliver’s place, for she had all control over her driving skills, but dancing with a partner was something entirely new to her. She would be terrible at it and knew that Oliver might not let her remain in a corner, watching the others. Then again this could be a good opportunity to practice her detective skills. To watch other dance and try to incorporate the moves into her own actions. Even though she would feel uncertain of herself, at least she would be in Oliver’s hands. Dancing cheek-to-cheek while in a sad attempt to be wanting to look down at her feet, feeling his heart pressed against hers. Even if her dancing would be disastrous, at least she would be close to the host.
She exhaled and shook her head, slowly raising her eyes to the rear view mirror. “What are you doing? You’ll embarrass him. Go home now while you still have your reputation of a kick-ass heroine.” Her thoughts told her. “No.” She said out loud and firmly, then switched back to thinking to herself. “Ollie will be disappointed if I don’t show up. This is his world and like it or not you are going to enter in there and see this other side of him. You can do this Dinah. You’re not the type who become intimidated easily. Stop holding yourself back and think about the reward in the end. An exhausted Oliver, perhaps time alone with him… or getting angry and burning down the house when everyone laughs as you fall on your ass.” She smirked at that last thought, for she never really would burn Oliver’s home down to the ground, or attack others out of becoming embarrassed.
Her eyes traveled down to the small, stuffed koala hanging from the rearview mirror. She didn’t know why Alison liked koalas so much and knew that it was most likely a passing fad. She smiled and wished that her cousin would be there to show her how to simply have fun at a party and to turn off her brain. Who cares if she looked terrible as long as she was having fun. And then a flashing of lights had caught her attention. She turned to see a high speed chase roar past the Queen Mansion in a fury of sirens and car engines roaring. Dinah bit her lower lip in wanting to go after the speeder before he could kill someone by slamming into an unsuspecting driver, an innocent. How easy would it be to tell Oliver that she had to play the hero and put a stop to a madman behind the wheel rather than show up at a party? But no, she could not stand to see disappointment in his eyes. She fought the urge to want to be any where but here and opened the car door.
Clothes
She hated showing up to these things alone, especially while wearing a dress instead of her comfortable black leather. Deep breaths. Take it step-by-step. Remember the reward. Eye on the prize. She closed the car door behind her and smoothed down the bottom of her dress. It was a strapless, royal blue cocktail dress that had clear gemstones decorating the left side of her dress, representing stars in the midnight sky, while the other half had glitter streaking across her belly in an arch to suggest shooting stars, stretching across her waist and over half of her hip while the rest of her dress was blank, including the back, just below her navel and her right breast cup. Her grown out hair was long and dyed yellow. She had spent at least an hour and a half perfecting it at a salon without really knowing the reason why. It was not like her to change her appearance without having good reason to do so. Oliver was a good enough reason, but she really should be doing this for herself. What did appearance matter when kicking trash around in the alleyways? Your hair and clothes get messed up anyway. She looked down at her dark blue heels who‘s straps wound up her ankle. She didn’t feel like bringing a purse, for any mugger could snatch it and take off with it within a blink of an eye. Now she wish she had brought it. Just another excuse not to look like a fool in front of the others. Eyes on the prize Dinah. Eyes on the prize.
She made her way up to the steps of Oliver’s mansion, tucking Alison’s keys into her bra. She could feel the cold key to their house, the electric key that opened the car door, the car key itself and a pink heart that had their phone number on them in case the keys were to become lost, against her chest and ignored them for now. She took another deep breath to drown out any self doubt she was feeling and used the intercom. “It's me, let me in.” She said and immediately wished she hadn’t. She was still nervous and by acting tough, this was her way of covering up her doubt. Oliver being the ever observant one would no doubt see right through her and possibly make things worse by embarrassing her further through light teasing. She was expecting him to tell her to say ‘please’ or possibly something even more degrading.
“Turn off your brain and think with your heart.” Dinah exhaled air through her nose and changed her thoughts into guessing what kind of costume Oliver would chose to wear. It could be absolutely ridiculous for all she knew, or perhaps something simple. Either way she had a feeling he would surprise her.

Tonight would be a first for Zahira. Really a first for a couple of things, most of which Zahira was unaware of. The main one of course was the party in itself. It was defiantly not something she had done before, unless crashing one counted, but that probably was a different kind of party. So this was very new to her. It was Victor, whom she wasn't entirely sure if it would be called friendship, mostly because she's never had one to really know, but there was that understanding. Plus she warmed up to him and she certain not in the charming way to be fooled, but she hardly had her foot in the door. Somehow the dropping of who be attending the party certain peaked her interest. There was a lot she still didn't know about her father. Even as she was getting ready in her room, feeling the zen as she was trained to do, but social things like this. Zahira had to find her voice. Even to observe, but there was a mild excitement she hadn't exactly felt before. One of the key details Victor had enlighten upon was it was costume. Dressing for a party was already not instinct to her. There was a few suggestions thrown about. Cleopatra, was probably a little close to home. Somehow it fell upon Pocahontas, someone Zahira didn't know of as greatly, but enough. She didn't have the great luxury of expenses to buy a costume. So naturally Zahira took some torn beige fabric, with some scissors had began the making of her version of a Pocahontas inspired costume. Was it to code, probably not, but the effort was there.
Enough to make a light jumpsuit with shorts, then trapped around the shorts in some of the left over fabric. Fabric shredded along the v cut of the top part. Some fabric she had looped with some beads and knots to go around her neck along with a silver necklace and a more simple gold chain of her mothers. With a little assed faux fur around her shoulders. Even made some slip coverings for her boots, that went up half her calves and with a decent heel. Which Zahira had slipped on. Before attending to her hair. Her hair was mostly straight already, but she ran an straightening iron over it simply. Then added a couple small blue pieces she had. Her fingers ran through the underneath and tousled her hair a little. Letting her hair fall before and behind her shoulders. Lastly was the make-up. Keeping it natural was the approach. Nothing intense, but she knew well in how to cover up marks. Covering the bruises. One by her eye. A couple of scratches, although they were harder to hide, but they were faint in size. Also a a decent bruise on her arm. She was after all human. Not immune to everything. With a simple light in tone peach lipstick she ran it over her softened lips. Just a light touch of black to her lashes, but not the creature tonight. Least not so forward… There wasn't anything else left. She was a head of the time, but ready. Grabbing a camera, she was going to also be helpful tonight for Victor. Placed it in a bag similar in tone to her outfit and put the bag strap over her shoulder. Locking her apartment door as soon she took down a couple of steps out of the building. To wait outside for Victor as they had organised. The sun was in the setting mode, so there was that chill and Zahira could feel it, but nothing to deadly. It was a bad point of being cold blood, but she had learnt to over come it… Too a degree at least.

Oliver’s black leather shoes bounced down the red carpet that ran down the central staircase, his feet warmly inside. One hand ran down the near banister, his fingers gracing the oak tenderly as he reached the bottom step. The door bell echoed through the house for the first time, signalling the arrival of his first guest. He turned his well-shaven face towards the entrance, smirking at their arrival. Soon the party would begin for him, giving him the chance to meet a group of new people, which didn’t scare him in the least.
As he walked across the well-lit room, he walked around the large tree deep in thought. He pondered who it could be, it was like a game for him; which vigilante or ‘hero’ would be at his door first. Would it be The Green Lantern or something or maybe The Man of Steel himself? Does this make him a superhero, it sounded strange when he thought of it like that? He has an original yet catchy name, Kevlar threads for good measure and a secret hideout for all of his gear. While he mentally checked all of those things off his list, one of the maids rushed out in front of him to get the door. He smirked and touched her upon the shoulder, slowing her down. “Please, allow me to get it. Go and check upon the drinks.” He said in his excited tone, grinning at her. She nodded in agreement with him, shrugging her shoulders then walking off to do the task.
Before opening the door, he tightened his silver cuffs upon his wrist before correcting his bow tie for the hundredth time. With his right fingers, he peaked through the small hole in the door, peaking upon the guest. He grinned when it was Dinah on the other side, standing in what can only be classed as the best dress he’s seen so far. He grinned at the thought, pulling upon the golden handle, swinging the door back to allow her to enter the house. He stood in the door frame though, leaning with both of his arms crossed and a grin upon his face. “I think you’ve got the wrong place but I think I can squeeze you in.” His voice was very tender yet playful.
He got up from his relaxed stance, kissing her upon the lips lightly while smiling. He held onto her hand, bringing her into his home. “I hope you like what I’ve done with the place.” He said while rubbing his hands together with satisfaction at his home, while spinning around. The room smelled of a forest, so every breath he took was deep to savour the smell. It’s one he’s not smelled for a while as this tree is the opposite of what he was used to. He was used to one’s with vines wrapped around with snakes coursing through it, blocking out the sun above. This one was beautiful, majestic and grand. He might consider letting it stay, he thought. He did spend an afternoon cutting it down.

Victor had finally gotten something that he always wanted........ A full Volksgrenider uniform. Complete with wool hat and the grey combat uniform. He had always wanted a full German uniform from WWII. And now he had it! All he added was to wear his grandfather's trench coat and the look was complete. Well mostly. He wasn't able to carry a rifle around the city let alone a sub-machine gun. So instead he was an unarmed Volksgrenider. He was prepared to explain to anyone he met that he was dressed as the militia. In fact historically the Volkgrenider was just the PC way to say "human shield" so he was thankful that he wasn't in the real thing. But at the same time he was proud of the fact that his grandfather was actually part of the Volkgrenider. He looked at himself in the mirror and fixed his hat before grabbing his camera and keys and what else he needed and ran out the door. He made it out to his car and started it up. He had to stop and go pick up Zahira so that she would have a ride there as he promised.
After what seemed like half an hour he made it to her house seeing her outside dressed up as a Native American. He drove up and stopped closed to her and got out to politely open the door for her. "Guten tag." He said with a grin as he made it over to her and opened her door. He took in more of her costume and thought about what he should say. "You look pretty good." He said feeling a grin cross his face. Here he was dressed as a German WWII draftee and was filling the role of driver almost perfectly. All he needed was to be driving a German staff car from the 40s instead of his 70s era BMW and the illusion would be complete. And he had to admit she did look rather pretty. He knew she was dressed as a Native American but he couldn't put his finger on which tribe. He was thinking about too hard and didn't realize that she was Pocahontas.

Kara shook her jitters off over the fact that this was one of the biggest League parties she had been invited to. And she wanted to have fun, but act mature enough to fit in. It seemed it was mostly the League and not so much the Titans. Kory had told her that she would be there with Dick. That settled Kara's stomach a bit over running into more of the head runners of the League. At least the ones that had a looser side. Not like the grump bats would come out of his cave any time soon to join in on a costume party. When it came to picking out a costume, Kara had been on her own for that one. And in keeping in the tradition of having fun at a costume party, she chose something classic and fun. She'd go as Jeannie. Kara could recall seeing Clark's earth parents watching an old show with this character in the show. The costume idea seemed simple enough. And it hadn't taken her much time at all to get over to Arabia to actually find some items to go with the costume. Though her bangs were longer than the actress that had played the character. JeannieAs soon as she was dressed, Kara was off and flying to Star City. She knew this was Green Arrow's home. And she knew the League had mixed feelings on him as a member. But had proven himself enough that he had learned quite a few of their secrets and trust. Kara didn't want to show up to early, so she took her time flying. It was dark enough, no one would notice her flying by. She'd stay out of sight. Which in minutes, Kara was on the door step to the mansion. It was a huge place compared to the place Clark lived or even Lois. Then again, they weren't millionaires. And Kara had never really seen or been at the other Leaguers homes besides Diana's home planet. Kara collected herself as she was to enter this alone. She wished Kory was at least there with her. She wasn't sure how many people she would know. Sure she worked with the League, but there were so many members. She wasn't even sure if Clark was going to be their himself. Despite all that going on in her head, she knocked on the door. Not trying to knock so hard. But the sound would be heard through out the house quite a bit...

It wasn't until the very last second that Hawkgirl decided whether or not to attend the party. She's been considerably torn on the subject ever since she heard about it. Because on one hand, she'd much rather be working. She's much more comfortable being covered in sweat and the blood of her enemies than she is in getting all glamored up for some fancy party. She knows what to do in the heat of a fight, but all these human holiday things have so many aspects she's just not familiar with. So she knows that the party will be out of her comfort zone. Especially since it's unlikely to be anything like a Thanagarian party. Humans just don't celebrate in the same way. Probably because they're so fragile. And attempting to follow their traditions instead of her own makes her feel somewhat homesick. Really, she just hoped that there would be some last minute world crisis that desperately needed her attention, giving her a convenient excuse to skip the whole thing. Sadly, the world remains completely not at peril tonight, and her League communicator's silence continues to inform her that it continues to be the case. Well, she supposes that means she has no real reason not to go. And it'll be good for her. There will be League members, mainly the younger or newer ones, that she hasn't met yet and it would be useful for her to fix that in case she ever needs to fight alongside them. Not to mention that it might quiet all of the people who tell her she needs to get out more for awhile. It is pretty rare for her to be able to go to an event like this. But since she waited until the last minute to decide if she's actually going or not, she's in a bit of a rush as she puts on her costume. She only has five years of experience with celebrating Christmas, and not all of them were particularly good examples. But she does know enough about it to know what is probably the only Christmas related costume that she could pull off. She's not used to going anywhere without her helmet on - it's Thanagarian tradition to wear it almost everywhere, but it would spoil the effect of the costume to keep it on. It takes her a bit of time to tame her helmet-hair, but she manages, and then she works on her wings. There's a certain powder she's found that she can apply to them to make them look more white than gray - it ought to stay on well enough until washed off intentionally. Once that's taken care of, she turns her attention to her dress. That ought to complete the look nicely. Or at least, the mirror seems to indicate that she looks sufficiently angelic. Though before she heads out she throws on a long coat over it. She'd had to have the coat specially made to accommodate her wings, turning the back of it into a mess of zippers so it can allow their free movement while still keeping in most of the warmth, but it's worth the investment. Though she's much more cold tolerant than a human, she intends to fly to the party - she's always hated cars and doesn't have one - and she's easily able to keep herself at a high enough altitude to remain unspotted by any civilians or unfriendlies until just before she arrives. And this time of year it gets very cold, especially after the sun sets, and even more especially at higher altitudes. Deciding that she's set to go, she spares one last glance at her helmet and mace. She's not used to leaving them behind, but she reassures herself that they'd be out of place at the party, and even if there's trouble she can probably handle it without them. Besides, with the sheer number of superheros that will be there, the odds that there will be trouble that she even needs to get involved in will be slim indeed. Nodding to herself, she heads off into the night sky. She's always hated night flying, but she can do it when she has to and when she's high enough up she doesn't have to worry about running into anything - the only hazards are the very obvious mountains and the airplanes with their mandatory flashing lights. As she nears her destination, she spots Supergirl just landing at the doorstep in a costume she doesn't recognize in the least. Looks like she'll be adding more things to the list of pop culture things she's not yet aware of. Wonderful... Only a moment later, she'd seem to drop right out of the sky as she lets herself practically free-fall until the last moment, landing neatly behind the young heroine. " Good evening," she says politely as she walks the few steps required to join the girl at the door. Given how rarely she takes her helmet off, being without it is practically a disguise on it's own. Then again, given the rarity of people with real wings on this planet, it's not a very good disguise.

A little bit lost. Mostly Kory felt very very found. Regardless that her feet didn't even leave the ground… Oh well, a little when the song hit that extra joyful note. After a few more turns and a little twist of her hips. There came a sound at the door. How in X'hal does he do that? Kory questioned happily and amusingly. Surprises! With already the joy giddy mood, it was greatly hyped up now by a few notches. It was almost breathtaking. Her cheeks glowed a little more golden as her smile grew at the sight of Dick.
"Happy Holidays, "
Kory expressed the happy greeting with half throwing her arms in the air. Her green eyes then took in the suit. The black. The white. Open to a little skin. Her eyes danced a little at his hat. Delicious! He generally was in or without clothes. Yet he defiantly looked extra sharp. Without wasting more time. There was a party in need of their attendance. Switching the Tv off. The music. Before grabbing for her shoes and small bag as she went, putting them on. Leaving the living area to properly greet Dick at her door. Whilst Dick commented, suggesting that they stay here instead? Part of her was defiantly liking that idea, but they could dance here when they got back. Though she also knew him well. They needed to get out every now and then. Kory then met him at the door with a kiss. With a little hold, retreating not without her hand falling upon his arm. Taking in his scent. He most defiantly smelt good. Kory looked over him sweetly and tapped him innocently upon his nose.
"Cute, but we're expected Dick! It'll be fun and we'll be back in time for patrol, don't worry!… But after? You will stay?"
Sweetly Kory remarked, an extra warmth to her smile that Dick wanted to stay. Spend time, it was sweet. Cute and Kory was all for that, but like she said they were expected. They already returned the RSVP for the party tonight. They needed fun every once and a while, but it wouldn't be all night. Kory assured Dick with a playful tap upon his hat, they'd be back in time to patrol later tonight. Walking out of the door frame and locked the door behind them. As quickly Kory's hand linked a little in the curved of the inside of Dick's elbow. Her other hand rested upon the topside of his arm. With the little pause, Kory asked Dick if he would stay after theparty and the patrol. Her green eyes looked to his sweetly, knowing there was little reason to ask. He was welcome any and every time, but it was delightful to hear he wanted to stay. Because he was defiantly wanted, the waiting just made it all more special. Kory walked happily beside him. To the elevator and pressed the button.
"You look very handsome, sweetheart!"
It was needing to be said. Kory bubbly remarked in the closeness within the elevator. He generally was, but the effort was defiantly an add of dash. She wasn't sure if he was meant to be someone else tonight, but it was hard not to see him, even behind a mask. After a few seconds the doors opened to the ground floor of her apartment complex. Eventually coming outside the building and greeting the wintery twilight. Nearly dusk. Now flying was the easier route and which Kory had suggested, but Dick wanted to make this official. Well, Kory had half expected the jeep. She wasn't in the know of cars, but she took a few seconds to take in the very fine car before her. It was very pretty. As her eyes ran over the car, a joyous smile came as she was realising it was white.
"X'hal! It's Roger!… Greetings Roger!"
Kory expressed happily and playfully to Dick. She was Jessica Rabbit. Naturally Kory assumed or more jumped there, but she went with it. It was very sweet of Dick to pick this car, even if he hadn't of assumed. Mostly she was playing around slightly in character. As she playfully left Dick's side to properly greet Roger. Jessica's husband in car form. Kory smiled sweetly to the pretty white car and patted it gently along the doors. Which as she giggled and felt along, it was seemingly without door handles? Kory was sure cars generally had some form of handles? She touched and poked the door in places. Nothing happened. She knew close by Dick was amused, she just went with it.
"Can you let me in, Roger? Please!"
Politely and sweetly Kory asked the car. Almost whispering in its rabbit ears and another added pat. Brushing off the tiny bits of snow that sprinkled down. Little happened until Kory kindly kissed the car on the side mirror. Almost in timing the door opened. Making her bubble up a sweet laugh. Who knew cars also had a language barrier? Kory jokingly thought as she gracefully got into the passengers seat. With a little brushing off the sprinkles of snow from her hair and dress. Hoping to look across with Dick ready to go. She was sure there was a part of him that wanted to go, he just needed an excuse and she was happy to be it. Not that she make him do anything such thing he really didn't want to do, but what harm was going to come out of a party. A christmas party at that.
"Thank-you! Are we ready?"
Kory waited until Dick was positioned beside her and the radio turned on, with a little Timberlake. It felt already properly cosy in the car, not that they couldn't keep their hands in check when needed, but Kory leaned over to properly thank him with a kiss on his cheek. For opening the car door, for taking her, for loving her and mostly for being him. Smiling sweetly as Kory got more comfortable in the seating and her hand rested him his own. As she asked about we. Mostly him. If he really wasn't ready, then neither was Kory. Not mention they were officially dating again. It was touch ago as to how that took to many, but nothing that overly worried Kory. She was content in knowing what she felt was real and that was all she needed. Plus him to go along with it.

"When did I ever worry about anything," Dick commented as Kory was being playful over the matter of going or not.
He knew they would end up going. There were a lot of members of the Justice League going to be at the part. Well...maybe not the heads of the League. If Bruce was to ever show up at a party thrown by one of the other Leaguers, Dick would wonder what was wrong with him. There was a difference between going as Bruce want and as Batman.
"What? Now are you worried if I say no," Dick replied. Though he was only showing that she really didn't need to ask.
The party was going to take a lot of their time this evening. And patrol would probably last until 3am. At least for Nightwing it would. He would probably got out on his own for a while and catch up with Star later. Though he was planning on a late morning possibly after the patrol.
As the got to the car, Dick hadn't really expected the act from Kory. But once he thought about it, he caught on quickly.
"Not exactly what I was planning on, but it works," Dick replied as he opened the car door for her to climb inside.
He soon followed suit and got in on the driver's side. He fired up the engine as he let it warm up for a moment or two. Checking over everything to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything mentally. He knew there were a few tasks he needed to remember for the night patrol.
"We're set," Dick replied as he shifted the car into gear.
The ride wouldn't take long to Star City, a little further than Gotham. But other than that, no time at all. The treads on the tires handled the now icy roads with precision. Though Dick was easing up on the gas because of the conditions outside. Otherwise they would have been there sooner.
Time passed rather quickly between the chatter in the car and the focus on the roads. And when they got there, it wasn't hard to find Oliver Queen's place. And the few costumed guests arriving.

Oliver smirked at Dinah, prompting her to go wait in the main room. “I’ve got to wait and welcome all the guests Dinah. Could you wait for me inside?” He asked softly as he kissed her cheek, smirking at her before turning back to the door. A loud knock bounced off the door, signaling that another guest had arrived. He turned back to the door once he’d spoken to his girlfriend, opening it up to face a girl who looked like she‘d got lost from Arabia and another women from the 1930s, or so he thought.
The first one with the light hair seemed quite brave. It was the middle of winter yet she wore no coat, leaving her flat stomach open to the snow and cold. The other seemed a bit more sensible, wearing a long coat. Oliver wondered if that was her outfit. He extended his hand out to each of them, shaking their palms with a firm grip. “Pleasure to meet you both, I’m Oliver Queen.” If one of them knocked on the door and made that noise, they must have some strength. He peaked over their shoulders, trying to see their vehicles although besides Dinah’s bike he could see none. Either they can fly, run really fast or afford a taxi. Besides Dinah, Oliver hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting any other League members. It was a refreshing sight to see two young women as heroes, not that Dinah and he are old.
He stepped out of the way to let them enter, giving them a full view of the interior. “Please make yourself at home. I think you might know Dinah?” She seemed to know everyone these days, he joked and laughed. As they entered, Oliver gave a quick glance out of the door to see if anyone else was arriving as he didn’t want to let the cold air into the house for long. Once the girls were in the house, Oliver shut the door lightly behind them, glad to be back in the warmth. Only one of them wore a coat so he walked up behind her and tried to be a gentleman. “Would you like me to take your coat, Miss?” He asked in a jovial tone, happy to see that some people had turned up to his little party. “Please go make yourselves at home, we have a selection of songs or you can dance. Plenty of drink and a swimming pool, what more could you want?”

Clark managed to get off work before it was too late to get to the party. He drove home after all he was Clark at the moment and not Superman. After making his way through traffic he entered his home and showered himself off quickly and then moved over to his closet and took out his costume. It wasn't much of a costume, after all it was just a suit. It was a dark blue suit and the like. But it was one of his favorite character from from a tv show that his father had showed him. None other then Mr. Phelps from the old tv show Mission Impossible. After he got dressed and ready to go after finishing off his costume with a tie he stepped out and flew off towards Star City.
He flew high enough that no one could see him flying through the sky, in fact if anyone saw him it was completely possible that he would be confused for a bird. Eventually he made it to the city and scanned the area looking for where he was told the party would be. He didn't go to these kinds of parties very often. Normally when he went to these places he went as a simple reporter. He found the location and landed in an alley way a few blocks over. He walked out of the alley and casually walked over to the house and straightened his tie. He wondered who all he would see here. He thought about the possibility that Bruce might show up. But he didn't think it was likely. Eventually he knocked on the door and waited to be let in. He wasn't going to just burst in that wasn't who he was. He once again started to wonder who was going to be at this party. He hadn't seen alot of these people in quite a while. And there was a likely hood that there would be some new faces here.

Dinah’s eyes widened in surprise to see Oliver wearing a tux. Her chin dropped down to the base of her neck as she looked him over, for this was the first time she had seem him looking so sharp. “You look… stunning, Oliver.“ There was a hint of surprise mixed with attraction in her voice. “More so than usual.” She loved seeing him in business suits for he cleaned up well. Then again his rugged look was just as nice in her eyes. Her hand reached up to stroke his well-trimmed beard and goatee, enjoying the look of how kempt he kept it. She was about to walk past when he had surprised her with a kiss. Dinah took that as a reward for showing up to his party as well as getting into the spirit of things by dressing up for him. As their lips parted, she held him to her by holding onto his jacket and used her thumb to wipe some lipstick from the corner of his mouth. As he led her inside her eyes widened from all the decorations he or his staff had set up and marveled in knowing the amount of time that was put into decorating the place. “It’s amazing!” She breathed in the fresh scent of pine. She began to grin and looked up at him. “Now you really are Robin Hood.” She teased and smacked his chest lightly with her hand. She glanced down at his white shirt in forgetting that she had painted her nails a deep royal blue with silver glitter that imitated the stars on her dress. Luckily her nail polish had dried quickly and she had left no trace of it on his undershirt. She would have to thank Alison for showing her a brand that would not take forever to dry or crack easily or smear easily.
“Do you recognize my dress as the night you and I gazed at the stars after rescuing Alison? You inspired me to wear it.“ She looked into his green eyes as she said this, hoping that he would realize she had put in careful consideration as to what she would wear for him. As she gazed into excited and playful multi-billionaire’s eyes, she would have quickly forgotten the world around her had it not been for the strong scent of trees. She felt her heart beating strongly for him, like the pull of the bow’s string. “Maybe after the party you and I could spend some time together.” She placed her hand upon his chest and stroked the back of his hair without causing it to move out of place. Right as soon as she had said this, she heard a knock at the door. “Go on Oliver, see to your guests and work your charm on them.” She stepped back and smiled softly for him to be the entertaining host for the evening. She was proud of him for wanting to improve his social skills and brush up on his charm after having been without both while on the island for the last five years. She watched as he opened the door and looked past him at a familiar face which she had seen within the walls of the Justice League’s base of operations.
“Hello Kara. You’re costume looks great on you.“ Dinah recognized the girl’s costume at once and was not about to admit to Kara that if she had the ability to grant wishes, Dinah would wish to be some where else. Then again if she knew everyone there, she might feel more likely to stay. Besides, Oliver seemed to be enjoying himself and if he was happy, she would be happy for him.
Dinah’s eyes moved past Kara this time, as she spotted a second party attendee. Who was that? The red hair, the green eyes and wings… they were not gray but… did she? Yes! It was Shayera and she did powder her wings! How amusing was that? She chuckled and put on her best smile. “Hello Shayera, and welcome.” She greeted the league member.
She made her way further into the penthouse home in order to get away from the cold air that blew past Oliver and wrapped its icy kiss around her calves and arms. Her dress may remind her of space with it’s glittering stars and beautiful midnight blues, she was not going to freeze as if she were actually in space itself. Thankfully Oliver had shut the door and Dinah could feel warmth returning to the room she was in as well as in the home. She glanced over at one of the trees closest to her and drew in closer to see that it was indeed real. She caught sight of a few marks on the tree where some sort of creature had nibbled at the bark or attempted to build a nest at one point then quit for whatever reason. The smell of sap was strong and she looked to see if it was bleeding onto the floor. Not that Oliver would care since he could easily have the floors professionally cleaned if he wanted. Still, that would have been one sticky mess to clean up if her suspicions were correct. She turned her ear toward Oliver’s voice when he mentioned a pool. It was a shame she did not bring her swimming suit, otherwise she would have been able to avoid the guests altogether and have a drink while relaxing in the warm water. But that would also mean that her hair would be ruined by the clear liquid and her makeup destroyed by the chlorine. Besides, she could always kick Alison out of the hot tub back at her place if she wanted warmth and quiet relaxation time to herself.
Her fingers danced toward a maid carrying drinks on a silver platter and gladly took one for herself. Let the alcohol warm her bones and drown her nervousness for now while the others socialized. She swirled the drink around in the tall glass and continued to look around the home in silent wonder.

It wasn't a long wait. Zahira waited as patiently as she could, but there was still the faint lurer of excitement. Along with the unsure part, in what to expect. With Victor along with her, it would be a little more smoother. As Zahira waited upon one of the steps to the door of the building. Fingers gently tracing the railing beside her as her brown eyes looked through the city. Besides the general city sounds, it was quiet. There was though a scent in the air, but she would be kicking herself if she didn't go to this party. Just to simply mingle in and around these kinds of people. There just might be something there. The scent then tickled her nose as it got closer and the swirling sound of a hot engine. Before aiding with a smile to her face. It was Victor Grant. Along with his ride for the night. She lit up with a little happiness. Knowing at least someone in this city, was proving not to be a bad thing. A rush of colour came at her cheeks as Victor exited the car. Revealing himself along with his costume. It naturally suited him. Zahira thought hardly realising her simple smile had suddenly grown and little signs of leaving so quickly… Before soon realising she was still standing on the step. Zahira motioned down them with general ease and was hardly expecting him opening the door. Then she wasn't sure what to expect entirely. The only close deals with another she had, it hadn't been as rosy or as merry as she probably expected it should of been. There was just that silent pause as Zahira stood a little from Victor holding the door. Brown eyes looking timidly between the door and Victor. Quite the look of surprise. As her timid heart thud from the unexpectedness of it and slight wall up. But it was impolitely to just stand there and say nothing. "Aaniin!" Zahira greeted back from what little she knew of the native american tongue. She was sure she pronounced it the correct way.
As her grin shifted to a pleasant smile along with the soft touch to her eyes. A little extra warm colour to his compliment. With the expression of gratitude, Zahira unknowingly took his hand as she got into the car and before she could motion to speak. The door was shut and Victor was moving around to the driver's side and positioned himself inside. Zahira placing her homemade bag upon her lap. Her fingers toyed a little at the fabric. This felt a little strange. Not him of course. Her brown eyes for a moment passed over her costume, before politely moving over to where Victor sat beside her. "Thank-you, Victor! Do I do Pocahontas justice? It was surprisingly fun to put it together, I won't lie!" Zahira politely spoke and shared. There was still the walls, but certainly she'd always keep a wall somewhere, to be safe, but there a slighter ease now to be Zahira. Who ever Zahira was. She expressed a little happily with her eyes as she questioned her Pocahontas, with also curiosity. With the hope she was somewhat close. She just had the ability to just buy a costume, she was a little particularly with what money she had, but like she confessed. It quite enjoyable to make and put the outfit together. A little more light than her usual dark, but she wasn't Black Serpent right now. "Let me guess… Volksgrenadier? That's very clever. It's very fitting for you and dashing…" Zahira's eyes wandered over his own entire and naturally assumed. She wasn't as in the know of Germany, but enough along with knowing his rather in-depth interest in Germany. That it hardly seemed shocking. Less as it really did suit him. As she contemplated it as she spoke. Given the Shield complex and he was a hero. A shield in a way for others. It was fitting. Unless she was wrong in her guessing, but Zahira was sure she was close on the mark. As much as she liked the wolf head. It was nice to see him without it. The smell was still there, but somehow Victor seemed more separate from Wulfen than Zahira was from Serpent. So from what Zahira could sense and see. Though she saw nothing less than a hero in Victor. As Zahira added then a smile at her compliment and pause to thought. Her eyes lingering just a little timidly. "I… Must also thank-you Victor, for allowing me to come with you tonight. I've come prepared.." Zahira sincerely thanked him. It really wasn't something he had to do, nor had it been her place to really ask it, but yet here they were. Even if nothing else came out from helping him. As Zahira mentioned being prepared. She pulled out a camera from the bag upon her lap. It wasn't the most modern of cameras. It was vintage. Possibly 40s? It wasn't huge, a little chunky and some weight to it, but somewhat attractive camera. It was in ways an heirloom from her parents, one of which she had used here and there. A few times in Gotham. Maybe more if it would become a city worth remembering, but answers needed questions first. "I did promise I'd help. Though a party. This is a first!" Zahira commented with the truth of what she had promised. Well and reason how she was coming. Helping him with the photography. She was maybe not as skilled as he, but she was sure he wouldn't be disappointed. In fact she had intended to just play the part. As much as she could fool people whether intentional or not, she did like truths. Besides there was a lot of chances with this. Zahira a looming a little in her experience with a camera, as she mentioned the party being her first. That she could recall. Even her Birthdays as a kid were more tame than loud. Not generally something at all like tonight, not that Zahira was even sure what to expect. Zahira may need to keep an eye out for Victor to follow suit as well as working the camera. With little to no fangs required.
