The more ingratiating things that Lex says, the more Nina wants him to leave. Not because it upsets her, but because she knows that she's not at her best at the moment and she knows that she probably ought to be before she does anything stupid. Deciding what to believe and what to be skeptical about is a tricky, delicate process that she can't afford to get wrong. And she wasn't exactly prepared to get such an offer in the first place - she needs to consider what it is that she wants and what price is too high to pay for it. And to do that when Lex is not here, offering the world.
For now she simply nods when he speaks of giving her things to read - yes, she'll surely get bored enough for that kind of reading during her stay at the hospital. She's a very reluctant patient that way, because while some would enjoy the excuse to rest for a time, she just wants to get up and get on with her life.
When he pulls out his business card, Nina thinks to glance over at her assistant and ask, "Shawty, you have my card?" And at that prompt, Shawty stands and grabs her purse from where she left it by the far wall. It takes her all of a moment to fish out one of Dr. Stenet's cards and hand it to Mr. Luthor. Who she's guessing already has the information already, even though her boss does take a few steps to try to keep it more private - at least he has it with permission now.
Though as he speaks of how understanding he'll be if she refuses the offer, Nina can't help but give him a long, skeptical stare. After all, she's refused an offer from him before, and his response was to hire someone to kill her. Granted, it was really because of Edward, and she can more than empathize with being angry at Edward right now, but he still probably thought that was 'just business'. Not that he managed to scare her into not refusing his offers in the process - far from it!
With that reminder, she's not very inclined to say much as he begins to take his leave, though his parting words prompt her to say a few of her own. "Have a good evening, Mr. Luthor," she replies, somewhat surprising herself that she actually means the sentiment of her words - she really does hope that he has a good evening. Or at least, she doesn't wish him a bad evening, but that alone is surprising enough.
