It was the day after the crashing at a bar in the heat of Gotham City. Rather an odd night, even for this city. Which Zahira was slowly getting to know. Both the shadows and the light. Today was mostly sunlight after all the white and icy cold… It was refreshing, especially for her colder blood. It was rather lovely. Still healing from the wounds from the glass shards, but not hindering her mobility as such. Though certain turns certainly gave a shot up her spine. Between what rest she got. Lingered the questions for the mystery key that showed up under her door. With little words as to what it was for nor who from. Right now it was point and shoot at any lock. Any door in Gotham. Seemed a little naive to do. So Zahira just carried the key for now in a safe pocket, asking about when she could. Though Zahira continued with her day. Going to work. As a curator for Egyptian exhibition at the museum. Having spent a light morning in discussing here and there of tales of old. Of myth. Of legends. That she had been surrounded by most of her life and still there was several lifetimes worth to learn. To see. Was it possible to even take it all in, if all the history was available? Probably not, but a lot of the beauty of it, was the mystery. There was a steady amount of people, not a busy day. After a little time spent in her office, Zahira had a half an hour break.
Taking her simple yet healthy lunch with her, as she spent the time in the park behind the museum. Picking a nice little spot. Quiet. Friends? Well, she hadn't really made a point in doing that, besides the general small talking with co-workers or anyone interested in the history. Although she did find a little more than a acquaintance in Victor. Zahira was more than comfortable on being on her own, even though that probably wasn't a good thing, but it was really all she knew of most of her life. It seemed just safer. Both ways… So after finishing her lunch. With some time still left, allowed for some needed zen. Meditation. Yoga. Some training was needed to help strengthen her from the injuries. Much zoned out from all the surrounding for a moment and there was a peace in her head, but still that nagging after she finished. Maybe the key had some connection with her father, but who would have known her reasons for coming here, let alone know where she lived. It certainly was quite a puzzle. Smiling softly as she held the key. It was something. A start, there were more than one reason for her to be in Gotham. This just was one of them. Very close to her heart. Or so she thought. Her father lived to tell her stories of mystery, why wouldn't he leave her with one of the biggest mystery of all? At a couple of minutes before Zahira's break was up. She headed back to the museum. Key back in place in a pocket of her white dress. It came a little at her knees with a simple pattern at the hem, Cut nicely and close at her neck, no sleeves and a thick beige pattern belt. Carried her sandals with her. A hand mildly through her softly styled black hair. Very simple make-up. More natural base. Only with a hint of light pink on her lips.
Came through the entrance of the museum. Still not busy crowds, just a healthy bunch of curious folk. As Zahira went up to the right and then took a short left. Met with the entrance of the Egyptian section. With a couple people looking around. She took a little time and took a seat on a bench just a little within the exhibition. Often she could find herself sitting and just observing. Always enjoyable feeling the touch of egypt. Of home… Casually sitting. As put her sandals back on. Generally walking bare foot to the museum was rare, but some habits from home were a little harder to kick. Certainly was nice to feel grass at her feet, Though did miss the sand, the heat before it burnt… Catching the hair that fell and tucking it behind her ear. As she looked down, doing up the straps of her sandals. Not looking up greatly at those that may pass her by, save she left an ear out for anyone that maybe in need. Of course she just needed to put her name tag back on after doing up her sandals.

John Constantine was a strange individual. Most recognised him as the guy on the news who had ripped apart half of a Gotham City bar and had seem to take no damage from it. People whispered and rumours spread. Children tugged on their parents clothing and pointed as he walked by. The cuts from the shards of glass that embedded themselves in is forehead and face were still partially visible but were more scars than actually wounds due to a combination of Dinah's medical care and John's overly eager regenerative process. It was nearly a full day after the battle with the old wizard had begun. He had witnessed the doddering old man claim the powers of the other dark magicians and combined themselves into one being do destroy those that stood against him. Balthazar was a cunning enemy and would seek a way to destroy John before he could continue on his war path of destruction, for John had in his possession one of a collection of artefacts that could bring down the regime of this mad man. A collection of eleven other items however were needed to combined enough power to take the Mage down and the race was on to find them, and it just so happened that the second was sat in the Egyptology Wing of the Gotham City museum.
The briefcase John had with him contained every tool he needed. The instruments of his trade. He climbed the grand and towersome steps of the entrance and made his way to the reception desk. Behind it sat a beautiful blonde young girl with glasses and a red blouse. Her ample bosom originally caught John's wicked eye as she turned to talk to him.
"Hello and welcome to the Gotham City Musuem of Natural History, my name is Katelyn. How can I help you today?"
Craning his neck back up to her eyes, John gave a crafty smile, only a man like him could give. He became shy as he went into his routine. The Hugh Grant impression. The American birds lapped it up.
"Oh...err...hi....sorry to bother you....err....god, you're beautiful....anyway, my..errr...son is waiting outside and...errr...he, well, we were wondering....errr...if errr...we could...could...possibly trouble you...errr...for err....one of your....your....your...little dinosaur toy...figures....models....that you have there."
The girl smiled that flirtatious smile that all American girls seemed to have inside them. Taking of her glasses and placing one of the arms into the corner of her red lipsticked mouth she spun on her swivel chair and grabbed one of the toys behind her. While she was turned, John quickly glanced over the desk and with a swish of his hand, swiped up her staff keycard that sat on the desk infront of her. Sliding the piece of plastic into his sleeve, he smiled again as the girl turned around to face him.
"There you are. That'll be $14.99. Let me just get you your receipt and a little bit more info on the Musuem. There is our contact number. And that one there is my contact number. My....personal, contact number"
The girl fluttered her eyelids at John and he smirked again. After waving fair well, he slid the keycard out of his sleeve and into his trenchcoat pocket, along with the girl's number. Walking down the stairs and around the security entrance of the Musuem, John waved the card infront of the protected lock and wandered in. He roamed the halls until he came to the Men's Locker Room. Swiping a key from a guard who was enjoying a cup of coffee, John pryed open a locker and placed his briefcase on the bench infront. Flicking up the latches, John revealed his cleanly pressed green suit. He wasn't going to steal the item, he was going to walk out of the front door with it, with the museum's blessing. Changing into the suit and adorning a pair of black rimmed spectacles, John placed a lanyard over his head. Replacing his trenchcoat for the suit, he picked out the keycard and his cigarettes and the lighter. Closing up the locker, John proceeded out into the Musuem and around to the Egyptology wing. He had phoned ahead to arrange a meeting with the curator of the department, a woman by the name of Zahira Ormarr. John sighed at the name of his contact. All he could imagine was a ancient old frump of a woman in a dirt pink floral dress with horn-rimmed glasses attached to a chain round her neck. Her rounded the corner and spied a young dark haired, very attractive woman sat on a bench in the wing. That was the spot, the meeting spot. Could it really be? John tightened his tie and ran his fingers through his hair as he approached the woman. He quickly swiped up a clipboard from a young child that was on one of the Musuem tours and walked towards her. Standing infront of the gorgeous creature, John gave his best smile, armed outstretched infront of him.
"Miss Ormarr, I presume. Professor John R Constantine. A pleasure to meet you."

They weren't the most complex straps, but Zahira hadn't exactly rushed in buckling them up. It almost felt an easy sense of breathing in these surroundings. Not that she was completely nerved anywhere she went… It just felt more homely. Not the four walls, but what filled them. The essence of home. Visible and also touchable, well almost. Given her position she had more access at touching certain things, than many may only dream. Mostly besides a gateway to information. She protected. Zahira took great pride in every artefact and piece under her care. In this like another life, as her mother once did… Maybe in a little more her own style. With sandals in check. Zahira waited. Which surprising hadn't been all that long. In fact she had come back a little early. Just as she was curious as to the meeting, the mystery man so to speak… Did he? Certainly he didn't know… She wasn't so informed as too the meeting, maybe it was just curiosity of her knowledge. The history… Seemed everybody loved history. She was herself curious. Couldn't really say she had much expectations of him… Just as her eyes trailed to the little group by the Anubis statue, her nose twitched in a tingling sensation… Was there smoke? Looked about, before blushing a little in colour as a man approached her. With growing politely smile and got too her feet when he reached out a hand. Neatly flatting out her dress a little and met his rough hand with her slight slender darker hand. There was a hint of strength behind her hand shake, otherwise Zahira's was much lost. Yet very much there.
Zahira had an initial curious thing to ask, but even knowing it was not the correct time. More or less slipped her mind easier than if she had tried. Least for now. "You presume correctly, professor… Please feel free to call me Zahira… I see you found the place ok! " Zahira quietly happily greeted the professor, with the slight simple nod. It was a slight inner smirk that many would never see to know that a clue was before them, when it came to her last name. What it meant. Casually her hand lingered in the hand shake offering her first name, with a simple smile as she noted his and a little flash of her dark yet warm eyes. Least they were warm for now. He seemed a little charming. Bending down a little to regain her bag and placed it over her shoulder. Maybe a little off instincts, she dealt with plenty of interested people in her position. Though Zahira wasn't so clear as to what he wanted to know… Why he was here? For some time it was questionable if he was human, but given her own circumstance, it hardly was something to judge by. Not to mention he was defiantly made of flesh. She didn't walk so far. So fast. Just a little more inside the exhibition. "Though you must forgive me, Professor… I was not informed entirely why you wanted to see me… Were you interested in a certain section of Egyptology?" Halted a little as Zahira spoke honestly and asked so how to best help him. Slowly regaining the glasses upon her nose. More appropriate for her age, of course. Ran her hand through her dark hair a little, maybe out of natural instinct. Maybe a little nerves. Her voice of course expressed up a little as she asked, knowing the different sections pretty well. Gesturing a little with her hand. As her eyes took more in the instinctual look he had. From the papers and any description made. It lingered a well aged man in many peoples minds. Though it wasn't there ns person. Or maybe Zahira just didn't see it, but there was possibly a story there… That was the beauty, was it not? The history? Everyone had one. Some longer than others. Some more detailed. Some less and some magical. "I'm more than happy to give you a guided tour. Or if you wish for more privacy, we can further discuss in my office. Which ever you'd prefer!" Zahira offered the suggestion of a tour or possibly the option of her office, unless there was something more specific. Pondering a little already on where to start a tour if he so desired. Despite her curiosity, Zahira's wall was still up. He was kinda cute, mixed with charming… That wasn't exactly always a good thing. The first and only man she had ever really allowed in her life. Had charmed her. Maybe it was something more than charm, it led to the verbal, physical and mental abuse she had endured. Eventually broke free of… She was smart enough to know the difference… One could only hope, but she wasn't completely closed off. Just careful.
