The rec room of Arkham wasn't the most entertaining place to be, the TV was mostly static and other then a couple of couches there wasn't much else. Everyone who was in the rec room seemed to be either in a catatonic state or keeping to themselves.
Mary never looked forward to her 'free time' in the rec room, there was nothing for her to do and some of the lesser inmates taunted her. Indeed she was being 'privileged' to being allowed back in after a small incident with an inmate who called her a cutie doll and spoke to her like she was a child.
In her Arkham Uniform that was touch to big on her, Mary went over to the small window that was connected to a kitchen. She spoke through the glass and asked for a cup of water. The guard and cook behind the other side gave her a plastic foam cup filed with water and then said "Play nice dahl"
Narrowing her eyes she walked away and muttered" Jerk..."

As boring as the rec room is, it's actually somewhat more interesting than Poison Ivy's cell. If only because it's a different set of walls to look at. She certainly wouldn't want to come to this sort of place for the potential company - she enjoys her solitude. But the appeal of simply being somewhere different was enough to persuade her to do what she had to in order to be allowed to visit here.
Which was, as it turns out, a mixture of ease and difficulty. Many of the staff are understandably wary of her since she so spectacularly killed one of them within a day of her arrival, but she has since been on good behavior and reassured Dr. Arkham that it was an isolated incident that happened only because she didn't like that particular doctor. And while that doesn't make it all better, it does give them enough confidence to let her visit the rec room.
And that is yet another sign of just how idiotic the staff here are. Letting her have direct contact with other people is practically the same thing as handing her the keys to the door. Then again, at the moment they could open the door themselves and invite her to leave and she wouldn't. This being her first time being properly caught, she's been rather depressed about the entire ordeal. Even as she notes just how easily she could leave, she feels no need to actually go through with it. Maybe later.
For now, she quickly scans the room and sees the potential for interesting company appears to be just as dire as she'd predicted. Then again, her standard of 'interesting' is extremely high. But as she steps further into the room, probably aiming for a seat on one of the couches, she makes the mistake of assuming that she's in the company of only adult-sized people and neglects to direct her gaze low enough to notice the rather small young woman in her path. At least, not until one moment after she bumps into her. "Oops..." is all she has to say for herself.

The water in its Styrofoam cup crushed and spilled over Mary's uniform as she was suddenly stopped and bumped into. Her golden curls bounced about her face as she regained her balance and glared up at the slender figure. She knew who it was and wasn't so.... impressed. Mostly it was cause Ivy was a full grown woman and had such a shapely figure that Mary was jealous, she'd never look as lovely or as tall as Ivy.
She brushed the lukewarm water that didn't soak into her uniform off and spoke, her childish voice ringing out in the room, indeed she was easy to be over looked until she made herself known," Warm water isn't something anyone I think would drink...maybe you..."
She wasn't trying to be snark or start something, but it was hard to sound sarcastic with a oice of a child so sweet. Her arms folded against her flat chest as she looked up at Ivy with her baby blues, Indeed event o look at Mary was like looking at an overly adorable doll.

Looking more closely at the person she bumped into, largely to determine whether it's anyone she ought to worry about or not. Not that she believes that there's anyone in this awful place that she couldn't handle if she had to, but there are those she could handle easily and there are those that might actually take a bit of effort. She does recognize the young woman from the news coverage of her crimes, but the infamous Baby Doll is hardly someone she'd be intimidated by. Honestly, even though she'd consider herself to be one who is better than average at seeing beyond appearances, she still thinks that the whole thing was rather... silly.
Then again, what she actually thinks of a person doesn't necessarily correspond with how she treats a person. Truth be told, she has a poor opinion of pretty much everyone, but sometimes it's strategic to be nice to them anyway. In this case, she's not completely decided on that subject, so her expression is largely neutral as she's glared at, clearly not really bothered by having anger directed at her for the mishap, but neither does she look particularly apologetic.
She herself appears to have escaped getting any water on her uniform, so at least she doesn't have that inconvenience to bother her. Though the words that she hears causes one eyebrow to raise as she simply asks, "Am I supposed to be offended?" Because she'd probably let the child-sized rogue say whatever she wants so long as it's not her intention to upset her - if she went off half-cocked at everyone that does anything that bothers her then she wouldn't have any time left over to do anything else. While on the other hand if the intention is to upset her she's quite happy to be upset, and then make an example of the foolish woman for anyone stupid enough to intentionally offend a woman of her caliber.
