Wulfen looked at the Batman and scratched his chin. "So you aren't telling me to 'get out of town'?" He asked crossing his arms. This was somewhat confusing. The man had switched from trying to get him to quite to 'ok fine you can stay'
Wulfen's thoughts changed when Force told him that she used to work with the FBI. Wulfen nodded thoughtfully as he realized what she as saying. Force used to be with the FBI? "So wait? You used to be with the FBI?" He thought about it for a few seconds. "Well I guess that would explain a few things." He said in a voice that had both confusion and understanding in it.
He then looked at Batman. "So do you have any honest statements about how I could improve?" Then he glanced at Force. "That goes for you too Little Miss FBI." In truth he was trying to stop himself from asking Force a question that would annoy her or hurt her in some fashion. Because he had a feeling that she didn't really want to talk about it much. And he had experience that he felt the same way about.

"Well, you better learn."
Batman lifted his hands to probe at the air. No wall. Turning his back on them, he peered into the endless night, cape drawn close around his body. His shadow stretched on behind him, a bat-shaped mass that was brooding and still. It was like a curtain, unfurling across the floor, the pointed ears of the dark cowl stopping shortly after reaching Force. It was almost endearing, in a strange and terrifying way. Force would know that behind the mask and armor, he was a real man. A real man whose cold, abrasive exterior acted as a cover for his enormous depth, and his ability to feel deeply. Perhaps deeper than most people ever would.
He knew it wouldn't be an easy task for her. She was still a child, naive and ignorant regarding the world's ways. Sure, she could read the truth from people rather easily. But the thing about the truth is that everyone had their own personal, individual truth. Their own perception of right and wrong. Their own reality, lived through their eyes and no one else’s'. For millenniums, humankind have searched for The Great Truth. Even he, Gotham's Dark Knight, is still unsure if he has truly found it. But like all people, he can only hope. Perhaps all they have is hope.
"One. Asking questions during inopportune times. Refocus back on Force. And if we were to get into the topic of what you could improve on, we'd never find a new hideout for Force."
He eyed Wulfen impatiently. If the man wants to assist Gotham as a hero - or vigilante - then he has a lot to learn. So much that Batman didn't even know where to start. How to skulk through the night undetected, for one... But it would have to wait. They needed to get Force situated, as soon as possible. The sooner the better.

"I'm trying," Phoebe replies to Batman. The world is a pretty complicated place, and there's some things that her abilities aren't much of a shortcut for as far as learning them quickly. She's making the most of her missteps, at least - though she wishes that she could learn it in an easier way than simple trial and error. But learning without making mistakes requires a level of insight into a situation, and she just doesn't have the proper perspective to see it most of the time.
Though she is, perhaps, less naive and ignorant than most people tend to assume. Yes, she's a child, but she's a child who has spent her life reading the minds of adults. And not always good, happy, or sane adults. The limiting factor for her is not a lack of information, but a lack of the ability to easily and fully understand certain complex concepts. For example, it wasn't until the Question carefully explained the idea to her that she really grasped that there's a difference between what the rules say you should do and what's the right thing to do - sometimes they don't match up. She understands that now, but it's still hard for her to think about.
Her attention shifts to Wulfen as he grasps the idea of her having worked for the FBI. "Yes," she answers his question, adding, "I even had a badge and everything. Gotham was my first mission, because of how bad some of the bad guys are here." And she's really rather young for all of that, but then again they considered her skills to be trained up enough to handle the task. And they were - the mistake on the FBI's part with Phoebe was thinking that her loyalty was to them instead of her own strong sense of right and wrong.
As Batman points out that Victor's question about himself wasn't exactly the best timing, she almost smiles. Yeah, Victor tends to do that - always self-consciously worried about how he's doing when that's not even the issue. Though she purses her lips as she makes her own reply, "Yeah, I do: don't call me that. I don't like the FBI." She's definitely not mad at him for it since she knows he didn't mean to bother her, but on the other hand it did bother her. It's something she's a little bit touchy about.
But, figuring that it's best to help get to the subject at hand, her attention shifts back to Batman. In so short a time, she already trusts him a great deal. Not fully, and partly due to the fact that she knows just how extremely difficult it would be for him to actually do anything to her even if he were to suddenly change his mind, but a lot. And as she can sense just how smart and careful he is, she's really not concerned at all about what sort of better hideout he may have in mind.
Instead, having caught his thought on wanting it to be soon, what she wants to know is, "How soon do you want it to be? 'Cause I keep my stuff ready for if I need to leave quick. You know, in case it's an emergency. So it could be really soon." As in 'now', actually. Having been raised and trained by the government, she's well aware of the kind of tactics they could very well employ if they ever found out where she is and decided to try to use force against her. It would get... ugly. She has no idea how likely that actually is, but... better safe than sorry.

Wulfen wasn't meaning to seem selfish or uncaring towards Force. He was simply confused. But thankfully that feeling of confusion was lessening as the conversation continued. When Force told him not to call her that he nodded. "Sorry." He said before taking a step back as to not get in between they're conversation. He started to think if he knew anyplace that he could offer that would be a great place to stay. And if she didn't want to be back with the FBI then he would probably not want to mention a place that was pretty much run by the government.
When it started to sound like she was going to be leaving soon he gave a slight nod. "I guess its for the best." He said as he thought. He felt somewhat useless not being able to think of something to say. But he wasn't going to start talking without having an idea. He didn't want to see inept. Or at least anymore inept then he was. He looked at the Batman and found himself hoping that he wouldn't become that type of person. He was ok with hiding his emotions. But not seeming completely stoic and emotionless. Or at least that's the way he seemed.

"We best leave now."
Batman stepped towards her, a tall and fearsome figure clad in black. But he knew she wasn't afraid of him. It was something he was unaccustomed to, having for so long struck fear through the criminal hearts of Gotham. But in her case, it would be okay. Perhaps it is simply for the best. If he is to guard over her as closely as he intends, some sense of familiarity must exist. Some trust. Like her, he once had to learn the painfully important lesson of trust and betrayal. It was one thing to trust someone's intentions, but you could never place too much faith in their wisdom.
"And you."
He turned abruptly to glare at Wulfen. There was a snarl in his voice, one that jarred sharply against the air with aggression and hostility. It was a far cry from the tone he used when he was about to interrogate a criminal, but it was still terrifying. The kind of voice that sounded like it made its climb from the bottommost level of Hell, through darkness and fire and blood, just to make a man's blood run cold and bone quake. Perhaps Force would not approve, but she would hear it in his thoughts that he intended to keep Wulfen safe. That fear was not only a vessel used to prevent crime, but to deter would-be heroes from acting foolhardy and reckless.
"I will be back."
Then he slipped an arm around Force's waist, fired his grapple gun, and swung them both into the night.

There's only a short pause before Phoebe says, "Okay." This is all happening rather fast, but not too fast for her. She's been uprooted enough times in her life that she's not very bothered by the idea of moving from here, and quickly. She doubts that it's quite that urgent, but then again what reason does she have to delay? It would give her and Wulfen more time to get used to the idea and say goodbye to each other, but then again drawing it out would only make it more painful. And she doubts that this is the last time she'll see him.
Her attention shifts to a backpack leaning against the side of the couch, and she uses her telekinesis to bring it to her, grabbing one of the straps in her hand once it's near. She needs only to zip it closed and put it over her shoulders to have all of her things. Which is actually quite a bit more than she came with since she'd only had the clothes she was wearing and her doll before.
Once that's taken care of, she looks at Victor and frowns slightly as she tries to figure out what to say. "Thank you for everything!" is what finally comes out, along with a smile. If it was only a question of which of these two guys she'd rather be around, she'd definitely pick Victor. But that's not the only factor at play here and Victor honestly only surpasses Batman in the personality department. It's not hard for her to recognize what's better for her, even though she hopes that Victor doesn't feel too bad about it.
When Batman picks her up, she holds on tightly to his arm. Not because she has any real fear of him dropping her, but out of a certain instinctive need to not let that question rest entirely upon him. But he's probably carried around plenty of people heavier than her - she's not a little kid, but she is a thin one. One who, though uncertain about what exactly is ahead for her, is still fairly certain that she's taken a step closer to finding where she belongs.

Wulfen was caught off guard by what was happening. He had always known that Force would eventually have left he wasn't going to try and stop her from that. Sure there was the possibility that he would try to talk her out of it. But it was more due to the pack like mentality he had developed during his time with Lupin. And of course he would eventually say that he wasn't going to hold her back form any decision she would have made. But he hadn't expected it to be like this. And no where near this sudden. "Wait what?" Is what slipped past his lips. It sounded more confused then hurt. But there was a small part of it that was hurt. Again due to the pack mentality.
When Force tanked him he cleared his throat. Trying to get his mind working straight again. Having Batman involved in this was contributing to his confusion. "You're uhh.... You're welcome. And if you ever need anything just call." He managed to get out with a slight smile. After all it wasn't like she was going to be gone forever. She would still be in Gotham and there was always a change their paths would cross again. But still this was all so sudden.
When Batman talked to him he didn't really react. He was still somewhat confused. He did however feel something different then he normally would have. normally he would have felt a mixture of fear and defiance. After all he had a habit of disagreeing with authority figures that he felt hadn't earned his respect. But at the moment he felt conflicted. He wasn't sure if he should say something or just let it go. Then before he could decided they vanished out the window. After a few seconds of standing in the room he moved over to the window and closed it he then moved over to his room to get out of his urban werewolf costume and get into some lounging clothes. Then he turned to Cana who had been standing there the whole time. But of course Batman wouldn't have been able to see her. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. "I'm sorry about all this." She said plainly.
"Yeah." He replied just as plainly. Now he was stuck with alone with her. That was another thing that would going to take some getting used to. But it wasn't as bad as suddenly having someone who had been living with you for a while suddenly getting whisked away.
