Victor kept his back against the wall and looked up to Dr. Ledford. 'Right it wasn't real. She's right.' He thought to himself as he kept taking deep breaths. He slowly got back to his feet then he looked down to his feet with his back still against the wall. He then looked at the chair he was sitting in. He then slowly walked over to the seat as he tried to process what was in his head. He then sat down in the seat. "So why did this happen to me?" He asked.
Then another thought entered his mind. "Umm.. I'm not meaning to be impatient but how long will I be staying here?" He asked. "If its going to take more then one day then I need someone to check out my apartment to see if my niece is ok." He said wondering if Force was ok.

So long as the time seems to continue to help him, Iris will give Victor all the time that he needs. Though when he stands and returns to his seat, she gives him an encouraging smile. His question causes her to purse her lips thoughtfully before she says, "For whatever reason - I'll spare you the various conflicting theories - Crane seems to be driven to see the fears of anybody and everybody. It happened to you because you were there when he was looking for someone. Call it bad luck, fate, whatever that means to you. If it hadn't been you, it would have been someone else."
His next question causes her to pause thoughtfully, as she thinks that she's seen enough to decide but it takes her a moment to do so. "I think that you're coping very well, but to be on the safe side I think that it would be best to keep you here overnight, just to be sure. But you'll be given full phone privileges so you should be able to arrange anything you need to. If you're still doing well tomorrow, I'm going to recommend taking a couple of days away from work and suggest outpatient therapy - either here or you can find your own," she says carefully.
He really does seem to be doing very well. Yes, the disturbing memories are a problem, but she also saw that he was able to process it while remaining calm and in control of himself. And she sees no signs of psychosis or anything else severe enough to warrant keeping him at the asylum for a longer time frame.

Victor looked at her with a questioning look. "So you're saying it was wrong place wrong time?" He asked. He found himself laughing abit. Not an insane laugh. More of an annoyed laugh. "Sounds about right." He said with a slight smile. He had finally found something amusing about this whole situation. And that was helping him.
As she explained what he would be doing about his situation. "Ok... Well then I'd like to call my niece as soon as I can. Just to let her know I'm ok." He said in a slightly more relaxed manner. "I think the deep breathing is working." He said. He was still somewhat edgy but he was now less likely to lash out and a bystander.

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying," Iris replies with a nod. Well, not exactly, but people can interpret random bad happenings in a number of different ways and she won't argue with how he chooses to see it as long as it's not unhealthy. Which in this case mostly means that Victor's fine as long as he doesn't blame himself for it.
And she nods easily when he talks about who he wants to call. "I'll tell them that you need to make a phone call right after we're done here," she says and smiles, "And yes - deep breathing seems like such a little thing, but what it does is what we call 'ground' you. When you're either remembering or anticipating something upsetting your mind goes to the past or the future. Deep breathing reminds you that you're in the present, where you're sitting here talking to me.
"Meditation is even more effective than deep breathing, which is why I'd like you to consider practicing that on your own later. But it could be that whatever you remembered was a one time thing, but it's also possible that it could help you unravel the rest of your missing memories so you'll want to take it slowly - especially if they're going to be that intense. Either way it would be helpful as long as you pace yourself - not again today, but perhaps in another day or so when you feel up to it," she adds for further advice.

Victor listened as he tried to make himself calm down a tad bit faster then he currently was. Not in a way that would be dangerous but in a way that he felt was ok. "Thanks you." He said when she brought up allowing him to call his 'niece' when they were through. Force may not have been his niece but he still had a promise to keep. Though there was a part of him that thought he could possibly be annoying her to some extent in that manner.
When she brought up his memory having been so intense he had to think about it. Why was it so intense? He tried to think of why but he didn't really have much of a knowledge base when it came to the human mind and how it worked. He knew a few things but only what he picked up here and there. "Why would a memory be that intense?" He found himself asking aloud. Even though it just slipped out it was a question he was thinking about asking.

Iris smiles slightly at that question. "Oh, I could give you an all-day lecture on that," she says with a laugh, "But to sum it all up, memories are intense when there's a lot of emotion behind them - it usually means that the memory is very important. If it's a memory from the fear toxin I'd expect it to be very intense because you would have been extremely scared." She nods to herself, deciding that's a sufficient answer unless he has a more specific question.
"Is there anything else you have questions about?" she asks kindly, knowing that the better grasp he has on his situation, the better it is for him. Otherwise she suspects that they're nearing the end of this session.

When she asked if Victor had anymore questions or anything more specific he had to stop and think. After a few seconds he shook his head slightly. "No I guess I don't." He said after clearing his throat. He was still trying to wrap his head around what he had just seen.... Or remembered.. He found himself quickly looking off to the corner of the room to see if anyone was hiding there. He suddenly remembered Scarecrow stepping out from the shadows. He looked back to his hands. They were still shaking slightly. But not nearly as much as before. "Thank you." He said after clearing his throat.

Nodding easily to that, Iris says, "Then that's all we need to talk about. Just remember to go easy on yourself - one day at a time. But you're doing very well already and I expect that everything will keep on getting better bit by bit. And you're very welcome." She too noticed his hands have gotten a lot better, and she's not all that concerned that the symptom isn't completely gone. The fear toxin was probably quite the shock to his system, so it will probably take him awhile both mentally and physically to get over it. But she has high hopes that he's one who will be able to later chalk all of this up as a bad memory.
She stands, collecting all the papers back into its folder. "It was nice meeting you, Victor. I wish it was under more pleasant circumstances, but that's how it goes when you have my job," she says with a smile, "The orderlies will be along in a moment to come get you - I'll make sure that they know you need a phone call."
